In case we haven't met, my name is Brandon, and I am one of the pastors here at our church. And be on behalf of all of our pastors, leaders, team, the podcast team, thank you so much for joining us today. quick reminder we are trying to reach as many people as we possibly can to be a strengthening person. Encouragement and to remind people that God wants to speak to them on a daily basis. And so if you can like, subscribe, share this podcast, and help us to continue to get the word out. That being said, today is October the 26th. And our reading today in the Life Journal reading plan, it's the reading plan that we use. It is Acts chapter 24 through Acts chapter 26. And I want to read to you one verse. It's a very short, simple verse. And I'll obviously give you a little bit of background behind it. but but I want to read it in hopes to encourage you today to do what God has called you to do. Here's what it says, Acts 26, verse 19. Paul is giving his defense before King Agrippa. And he says, Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. Paul is giving his defense, for he is on trial for essentially preaching the gospel and spreading God's word. We live in a very different day and age here in the West. I don't know where you're listening from, but I would assume it's somewhere in the West here in America. And for the most part, we don't suffer persecution because of our faith. It was not so for the apostles. And the disciples that we read about and that we glean from, they very much did suffer persecution. So Paul is giving his defense before King Agrippa. And so he's telling how Jesus found him. And when Jesus found him, you can go read Acts chapter 9, that's the account. But how Jesus found him and he he saved him and he revealed himself to him and he called him to go to the Gentiles to preach. The gospel. And this just really, really got me this morning. Paul says, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. Here's Paul's story. Jesus found me. That's my story, and that's your story. Jesus found us where we were. And Paul's story is that Jesus found him, and when he found him, he called him with a purpose and a plan. Can I say you and I have both been called with a purpose and a plan? We have been. And there are things in different moments and seasons that they're heavenly visions. They're not our current reality, but there's something we can see on the inside, and we know that God is asking us to do, God's calling us to it. It's a it's a heavenly vision, if you will. The apostle Paul says, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. And I want to ask you here today on the podcast, are you being obedient to the heavenly vision for your life? Is there anything that God has, it's like you can't see it right now, it's not your current reality, but you know that God's called you to it? Are are you being obedient to the heavenly vision that's been given to you and to your life? Because the Bible teaches us and tells us that when God speaks, we are responsible to respond in obedience. And here the Apostle Paul he writes, My story is that Jesus found me, he called me, and I was obedient to that heavenly vision. And very simply today, I want to remind you there is a heavenly, a divine calling, word, vision for your life. I don't know what it is. I I can generically say for all of us, it's to live and give our life, to build the church of Jesus Christ, advance the kingdom of God on the earth. And to leverage our life to reach as many people as we possibly can, seeing souls saved and disciples made. I'll I'll say it again just for clarity. Generically speaking, every one of us, we've been called to build the church of Jesus Christ. There's a calling on your life and my life to, in some way, shape, or form be a part of building his church. We've all been called to advance the kingdom of God, to see God's kingdom, his rule, his reign, his domain go into parts of the earth. Where it currently isn't, to to go into schools and neighborhoods, teams, families, cities, countries, areas of the world where the kingdom of darkness is ruling and reigning. Our call is to advance that kingdom so the rule and the reign of Christ would be preeminent. Our call is to Do whatever we can to see souls saved, people get saved and people grow in relationship with Him, soul saved disciples made. Generically, that's all of our call. That's like every single person on the like on the planet that's been given their life to Jesus. Your call is to build the church, advance the kingdom, and live and give your life for souls saved and disciples made. That's the call. But within that, all of us have these individual calls, these these individual heavenly visions, if you will, of what God's asking us to do, our part to play. And again, I'm just asking you today, are you being obedient to what God's asked you to do? But Brennan, but Brandon, I I don't know what that is. Can I tell you that God He does have a role for you to play and He does have a call in your life? You just have to go seek Him. The Bible says that it comes from the mouth of God. God wants to speak to you. And so I guess it's a two-part application. Number one would be: if you know what God's asked you to do, are you currently being obedient to do it? Number two. If you don't know what God's asked you to do, are you seeking God to say, God, I want to know the heavenly vision for my life that I might know it and I might walk in it and obey it? So today, for all of us, our response is: let us say yes to Jesus. Let us be obedient to the call of God in our life, and let us seek Him that we might season by season know the heavenly vision, the heavenly calling that's on our lives. God wants to use your life. In a significant way that is beyond what you're currently giving yourself credit for. So may we seek God and say, God, reveal your plan. Help us to say yes to it and use us. Lord Jesus, today I pray for everyone listening. Remind them today of the significant role that they have in your kingdom. For those who don't know what you're asking them to do, I pray that just like you did in Acts chapter 9 for Paul, that you would reveal yourself and reveal your plan for them that they might know. The heavenly vision for their life. And I pray for all of us that as we know the heavenly vision for our life, that like Paul, we would be obedient to it and we would walk in it. And I pray that as we are obedient and as we walk in it, that our life would be used for your glory. Seeing the church built, your kingdom advanced, and people come to know you and discipled in Christ. In Jesus' name, amen. Hey, I love you so much. Hope you have an amazing day today. And I can't wait for the next time we get to connect, we get to talk on the Daily Word podcast. God bless. Have a great day.
