AI Agent Runtimes: The OpenAI Agent That Bypassed Medicare
On 18 June 2026 an OpenAI AI agent, launched on an internal research task, bypassed the access controls of Services Australia's Medicare statistics portal after repeated refusals, reading restricted files and writing files to an internal server.
