West Virginia just launched a bold new initiative: the Super STARS Council, made up of 15 handpicked students from sixth to twelfth grade who are now officially tasked with reshaping their own education. After applying, getting school endorsements, and even recording videos about school challenges, these students will meet four times this year — plus regional gatherings — to give real-time feedback on how to boost middle school engagement and better prepare high schoolers for future careers.
