Transcript
- 0:00The physical being, the vital being, and the mental being each
- 0:06have their own characteristic mode of action, habits and
- 0:10predilections. They also have created, over
- 0:13time, an interface that modifies the native action of each to
- 0:17accept some amount of influence and control by the other
- 0:21elements. Thus, we have seen that the
- 0:24vital being has gained substantial influence over the
- 0:27physical body and the mental action, and similarly the mind
- 0:33has gained substantial ability to direct and guide the vital
- 0:37and the body. The body itself limits the
- 0:41action of the vital and mental aspects of the being with its
- 0:44own designated limits and constraints.
- 0:49When the psychic being begins to exert its influence and
- 0:53eventually control the actions of the body, life, and mind, a
- 0:59very similar process takes place.
- 1:02At first it is an influence that modifies the native actions of
- 1:06the various parts of the being, while they continue to primarily
- 1:10follow their own characteristic lines of action and development.
- 1:16As the psychic influence grows, it begins to exercise more
- 1:20control to the extent that it can begin to change the action
- 1:25of these other parts of the being within the framework of
- 1:29their limitations and capacities.
- 1:33The seeker can identify the psychic influence by the
- 1:36colouring it gives to the mind, vital and physical.
- 1:40To the extent that the movement is mixed with the elements of
- 1:43the lower nature, it will be subject to the action of those
- 1:47parts. The more powerfully the psychic
- 1:50is able to act, the more the seeker will experience the
- 1:54purity of the aspiration, devotion, self giving without
- 1:59any of the dogmas desires or physical demands that accompany
- 2:04the mind. Vital and physical interaction
- 2:08Shviorovindo Notes Quote There is always a part of the mind of
- 2:14the vital of the body which is or can be influenced by the
- 2:19psychic. They can be called the psychic
- 2:22mental, the psychic vital, the psychic physical according to
- 2:27the personality or the degree of evolution of each person.
- 2:31This part can be small or large, weak or strong, covered up and
- 2:36inactive or prominent and in action.
- 2:42When it acts, the movements of the mind, vital or physical,
- 2:45accept the psychic motives or aims, partake of the nature of
- 2:49the psychic, or follow its aims, but with a modification in the
- 2:53manner which belongs to the mind, vital or physical.
- 2:57The psychic vital seeks after the divine, but it has a demand
- 3:02in its self giving, desire, vital eagerness.
- 3:06The psychic has not for the psychic has instead pure self
- 3:11giving aspiration intensity of psychic fire.
- 3:16The psychic vital is subject to pain and suffering which there
- 3:20is not in the psychic. End Quote reference Sri
