- 1:33Speaker 5: I like the little, is it a son? What is it? Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I think it's supposed to be an orange because I
- 1:39Speaker 2: think their beer is typically like a wheat beer that
- 1:43Speaker 2: like a blue moon or an upland wheat that you
- 1:45Speaker 2: would put an orange in it. They actually have teamed
- 1:48Speaker 2: up with spirit Halloween and they have a Halloween costume
- 1:51Speaker 2: for you to be that guy. It's $ 70. It is
- 1:56Speaker 2: calling the wedge head wedge head costume. featuring the shock

- 3:36Speaker 5: real quick. Can you identify it? I didn't have the
- 3:39Speaker 5: button ready.
- 3:40Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 3:40Speaker 5: That's my fault. That's on human error over here.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Annie, what were you looking for this morning?
- 3:47Speaker 5: Something about a truck. I mean, hello, Kit Moore. I'm
- 3:53Speaker 5: botching this up. That was the end of it. Let
- 3:55Speaker 5: me get to the end of it.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah, here we go.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I came in this morning. I looked at Cole. I go,
- 4:03Speaker 5: it's not going to be a good day. It's not
- 4:07Speaker 5: going to be a good day. Congratulations to our winner today.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Going to see more Friday, December 11th.

- 4:24Speaker 6: Nice.

- 4:28Speaker 5: As a thank you for being a local listener. We're
- 4:31Speaker 5: going to do it again today.
- 4:32Speaker 4: 850.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Make sure you're signed up. Hank FM dot com or
- 4:35Speaker 1: in the free app. We'll tell you what time to win.
- 4:37Speaker 2: 5% of Americans, so not very many of us, but
- 4:41Speaker 2: a very small group, will greet someone they're meeting for
- 4:44Speaker 2: the first time this way. And I have in person
- 4:49Speaker 2: seen you do this.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Oh, I am 100% guilty of this.
- 4:56Speaker 2: We will tell you what it is. And I want
- 4:58Speaker 2: to know how everyone else feels about it.
- 5:00Speaker 5: I do too. It's two songs away. Annie and Cole,
- 5:04Speaker 5: 97.1 Hank FM. I follow.
- 5:07Speaker 4: I like.
- 5:08Speaker 5: I share.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 5:13Speaker 2: 5% of Americans will greet someone they're meeting for the
- 5:17Speaker 2: first time with a.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Hug.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I have seen you do this in person.
- 5:24Speaker 5: You usually walk up and you'll shake someone's hand.
- 5:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 5: And then you almost immediately ask them, are you a hugger?
- 5:30Speaker 4: Yes.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Because I go right in.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I've started adapting my lifestyle because before I used to
- 5:34Speaker 1: skip the handshake, go straight for the hug.
- 5:37Speaker 5: And then I realized a lot of people don't want
- 5:40Speaker 5: the hug.
- 5:40Speaker 2: No.
- 5:41Speaker 5: And so I thought, I'll modify myself. I don't want
- 5:45Speaker 5: the handshake.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:47Speaker 6: Why?
- 5:47Speaker 5: Too, too formal? Too weird? Too weird.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm not, unless I'm like going for an
- 5:53Speaker 1: interview where I'm like formally, I don't, the handshake to me,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm like, whatever.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Bring it in. You're meeting like a friend of a friend.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 6: Hug. Hug.
- 6:04Speaker 5: But I will respect your choice. If you tell me,
- 6:06Speaker 5: oh no, I'm not really a hugger. I'm not going
- 6:08Speaker 5: to make it weird. Has anyone ever told you no? Really?
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:12Speaker 5: It's not weird after that?
- 6:13Speaker 3: No.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I'm like, okay, cool.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 5: I appreciate it. I think you should appreciate me respecting
- 6:18Speaker 5: your boundaries too. But would I like you to come
- 6:22Speaker 5: in and kind of give me one? I would. I like,
- 6:25Speaker 5: I don't think I'm a big hugger. I'm more of
- 6:29Speaker 5: a handshaker.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Is it because you were like, as a male taught that,
- 6:37Speaker 1: When you.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Meet somebody, firm handshake. Firm handshake, yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Right?
- 6:40Speaker 5: Look them in the eye sort of thing.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Yes. Maybe.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I feel like it was taught to me growing up,
- 6:46Speaker 1: but not as much as I think it was taught to, like, Rob,
- 6:50Speaker 1: my husband.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Sure.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Like, I feel like our generation, like, yes, the boys
- 6:54Speaker 1: were taught very early on that, like, that was what
- 6:56Speaker 1: you were supposed to do.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I'm just trying to think of, like, anyone that you
- 6:59Speaker 2: could possibly meet in your life and where you would
- 7:02Speaker 2: maybe draw the line of hugs. Hugs? Hugs.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's professional. I think if if it's like,
- 7:08Speaker 5: for instance, we have a new colleague here. Yeah. Just started.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Jay.
- 7:13Speaker 5: He was on yesterday. Hopefully you were nice to him.
- 7:16Speaker 5: I don't think that I'm going to hug him immediately.
- 7:18Speaker 2: OK, I have a short list here.
- 7:22Speaker 5: A new neighbor. I know you want me to say no. No,
- 7:26Speaker 5: I'm not. This is asking you a new neighbor. Yes.
- 7:30Speaker 5: We already said this one. A friend's friend.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 7:32Speaker 5: What about a friend's new significant other? Depends on the friend. Okay.
- 7:38Speaker 5: A coworker. You said handshake.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Handshake.
- 7:40Speaker 5: A car salesman.
- 7:42Speaker 6: Oh, no, I don't.
- 7:43Speaker 5: That's a handshake. That's a business deal. Okay. So like
- 7:47Speaker 5: if you were doing some sort of business deal.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I don't know how many business deals I'm doing. Yes,
- 7:54Speaker 1: but that's a firm handshake and a look you in
- 7:56Speaker 1: the eye.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Something you want to say? Give Annie and Cole a call.
- 8:01Speaker 2: 317-663-9797.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Good morning, Annie.
- 8:06Speaker 6: It's Sherry.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Hi, Sherry. Are you a hugger or a handshaker?
- 8:10Speaker 3: Oh, I am a hugger all the way, girl.
- 8:13Speaker 6: I got you.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Bring it in, Sherry.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Hug through the phone.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Bring it in.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I am, I will always say that I'm a hugger
- 8:23Speaker 3: and almost everybody is.
- 8:27Speaker 6: Open to that.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I do agree there are some boundaries with it. So
- 8:34Speaker 3: I am like pretty much with you 100%.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I don't know if maybe do we peer pressure them
- 8:42Speaker 1: into the hug by asking?
- 8:43Speaker 5: That's what I'm wondering as well.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't think so.
- 8:48Speaker 6: I mean, I'm 58. So, you know, I will always
- 8:52Speaker 6: say I'm a hugger. They're like, oh, me too.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Okay. Cole's shaking his head over here.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I think in this conversation, I'm learning that I'm less
- 9:00Speaker 2: of a hugger than I thought I was.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Yeah, well, you know, I don't know.
- 9:06Speaker 6: I just feel like if I go to shake a
- 9:08Speaker 6: guy's hand, especially, they want to give me that weak, like,
- 9:15Speaker 6: just grab you with their finger kind of handshake.
- 9:18Speaker 3: And I'm like, ew.
- 9:19Speaker 5: I love you, Sherry. I love you. I'm on board
- 9:24Speaker 5: with everything that you're saying right now. I appreciate it. Yes.
- 9:27Speaker 6: So I got your back, girl. Got your back. Okay.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Here's what we have on the Arm Air text line, too.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Amanda said, I'm a full-on hugger. When I met Annie,
- 9:35Speaker 2: I went straight for a hug.
- 9:36Speaker 5: No questions.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Duh.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Rex saying, what separates a new neighbor from a new coworker?
- 9:41Speaker 2: They are both complete strangers when you are meeting them
- 9:43Speaker 2: for the first time. Annie, your logic doesn't make any sense.
- 9:47Speaker 5: It's the setting. A coworker is a business setting. I
- 9:50Speaker 5: told you, business deals and shape. Neighbor, I want to
- 9:54Speaker 5: be more than just a business deal. It makes sense
- 9:58Speaker 5: in this head, Rex. That's all I got to say.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Be a part of the show. Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 10:03Speaker 4: So what did we learn?
- 10:06Speaker 5: That like 5% of the population are huggers? Is that
- 10:09Speaker 5: what this new stat says?
- 10:10Speaker 2: Well, no.
- 10:11Speaker 5: I mean, not necessarily.
- 10:12Speaker 2: It says that 5% of people will greet someone they're
- 10:15Speaker 2: meeting for the very first time with a hug.
- 10:18Speaker 5: I'm a hugger. We're learning, Nicole, you are not. Yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 5: not really. Okay.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Because as we're going through, like, Telling these stories and
- 10:26Speaker 2: getting different opinions.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Every time I'm like, oh, no, I wouldn't do that.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Michelle on the Armory Air text line is questioning your
- 10:36Speaker 2: list as well.
- 10:37Speaker 5: You are kind of drawing the line at business.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Yes.
- 10:42Speaker 1: If it's a business transaction, I will most likely, first
- 10:45Speaker 1: time I meet you, keep it handshake.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Yeah. So new neighbor, hug, but new coworker, handshake.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yes.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Okay. Well, one of the other ones that you listed
- 10:56Speaker 2: on the business transaction deal side was if you're buying
- 11:01Speaker 2: a new car. And this one from Michelle says, Hey, Annie,
- 11:05Speaker 2: what if you had spent hours with this car salesman?
- 11:08Speaker 2: Learned all about their life. Learned all about their dogs.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Found the new perfect car with them. Do you hug
- 11:14Speaker 2: them after that?
- 11:16Speaker 1: I like that you guys are trying to poke holes
- 11:17Speaker 1: in my logic that I know doesn't make sense.
- 11:20Speaker 5: But in my head it does because now, yes, I'd
- 11:23Speaker 5: give that person a hug.
- 11:24Speaker 1: You know I'd hug them after they tell me about
- 11:27Speaker 1: their dogs.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Do you really want to know?
- 11:29Speaker 4: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I was talking to a friend the other day and
- 11:33Speaker 1: I was asking her how her job was going because
- 11:35Speaker 1: she got a new position. And she's like, well, I've
- 11:38Speaker 1: gotten written up already. And I was like, already? You
- 11:41Speaker 1: just got promoted like a month ago.
- 11:44Speaker 5: And I was like, what happened? And she was explaining
- 11:47Speaker 5: to me.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I don't know if this is happening more and more often, though,
- 11:51Speaker 1: because of the world that we're in. That anytime she
- 11:54Speaker 1: had a question and instead of trying to look like
- 11:56Speaker 1: she didn't know something, she would just AI it. She
- 12:00Speaker 1: would use some form of like chat GPT. Or something
- 12:04Speaker 1: like that to get the answer. And then she would
- 12:06Speaker 1: just copy and paste the answer into.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Whatever she was doing.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Well, IT flagged it for overuse of AI to the
- 12:15Speaker 1: point where you're sharing company secrets.
- 12:19Speaker 5: And she's like, what are you talking about? I'm just
- 12:21Speaker 5: using it. Yeah, but you're putting sensitive information into AI.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And she's like, well, it's just common knowledge and stuff
- 12:28Speaker 1: that I'm sharing, but I'll quit.
- 12:29Speaker 5: And so she's like, I got written up for using AI.
- 12:32Speaker 1: AI too much at work and I was like oh
- 12:34Speaker 1: my gosh I wonder if this is going to be
- 12:36Speaker 1: a thing now like because it's so integrated in everything
- 12:40Speaker 1: that we're doing Like there are more people getting written
- 12:43Speaker 1: up for this.
- 12:43Speaker 5: And I bet people are using it more than her.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:47Speaker 5: And other workplaces. I do too.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I 100% agree, but I was laughing because I was
- 12:51Speaker 1: trying to think of the ridiculous things.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Like it takes a lot to get written up for
- 12:55Speaker 5: something in radio. Okay.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I was trying to think of the same things I
- 12:59Speaker 2: never have. And I'm like, man, what would I have
- 13:00Speaker 2: even done to get written up? And I think most
- 13:04Speaker 2: of the time people in radio are like, yeah, you're just,
- 13:08Speaker 2: here's a slap on the wrist. I'm not writing you
- 13:10Speaker 2: up because I'm not doing the paperwork.
- 13:13Speaker 5: I can think of one time I wore this shirt. Again,
- 13:17Speaker 5: it's radio. We don't really have a dress code.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I wore this shirt and it had a trailer on it.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm not going to say what the full
- 13:24Speaker 1: thing on is because I don't want to get written
- 13:25Speaker 1: up right now. It had a, like a trailer, like a,
- 13:28Speaker 1: like a place you would live in. And it said,
- 13:31Speaker 1: my other house is a blank lab. Think Walter White.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Okay. Gotcha. Well, Why did you even have that shirt?
- 13:39Speaker 5: I thought it was funny. My boss did not think
- 13:41Speaker 5: it was funny. Text or give us a call.
- 13:45Speaker 4: 317-663-9797. Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Talking about the last time you got written up for
- 13:53Speaker 1: at work. We also posted up on our Facebook page
- 13:56Speaker 1: at Annie and Cole. You can follow us there anytime.
- 14:01Speaker 1: We have not gotten written up too often at work.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I don't know if it's because we're getting two shoes
- 14:05Speaker 1: or because we work too often.
- 14:07Speaker 5: I've never been written up. Oh, excuse me. I was
- 14:10Speaker 5: never even written up in high school. Oh, excuse me. Jennifer, though,
- 14:16Speaker 5: on her Facebook page, like crying. I had a bad
- 14:18Speaker 5: panic attack and had to take it up with HR.
- 14:21Speaker 5: I would have taken it up with HR. Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 1: No.
- 14:25Speaker 5: If I got written up for the amount of times
- 14:26Speaker 5: I've cried here. I cry a lot.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'm reading some more on the Army Air text line 3176639797.
- 14:34Speaker 2: It says, I got written up for putting my co-worker's
- 14:38Speaker 2: mouse in the lost and found.
- 14:41Speaker 5: That sounds like the office. It sounds like something Jim
- 14:43Speaker 5: would have done to Dwight, right?
- 14:45Speaker 1: I was going to say, yeah, it does seem like
- 14:47Speaker 1: a prank or something like passive aggressive that you were
- 14:49Speaker 1: trying to take out.
- 14:51Speaker 2: So shocking, it'll make your jaw drop.
- 14:54Speaker 4: He clicked on it so you don't have to. It's
- 14:58Speaker 4: Clickbait Cole on Hank FM.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yesterday we did our Mount Rushmore Monday of our top
- 15:04Speaker 2: fall things, but there were some things that we maybe missed.
- 15:06Speaker 5: So I, you know, your things are listening to you.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I got targeted with a 10 reasons why fall is
- 15:13Speaker 2: the best, and I clicked on it thinking, oh, I
- 15:14Speaker 2: wanted to compare it to.
- 15:15Speaker 5: See what we said. Yeah, what we said, yeah.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Number one on the list is something that we said,
- 15:20Speaker 2: and it is still probably my favorite thing, is just
- 15:23Speaker 2: the sweater weather.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:25Speaker 5: A little bit cooler. I can wear a hoodie. No
- 15:27Speaker 5: one's looking at me weird.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:28Speaker 1: We were talking about how this weekend we are going
- 15:30Speaker 1: camping and it's perfect camping weather this weekend to do
- 15:33Speaker 1: like the bonfire, to do all like traditional camping things.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Because the last time we camped, it was 93 degrees.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:40Speaker 5: That's not great camping weather. Number two on the list
- 15:42Speaker 5: we did not mention is apple picking.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:45Speaker 1: That's what I think when I saw the pumpkin picking
- 15:48Speaker 1: on our text link.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Which is number three on the list.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Look at that.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I immediately thought, oh my gosh. I've said apple cider,
- 15:54Speaker 1: but I didn't even talk about apple picking. Now, baby
- 15:57Speaker 1: Josie is.
- 15:57Speaker 5: A full year old now.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Did she, did you, she would have been really young
- 16:03Speaker 1: last year.
- 16:04Speaker 5: She would have been like a month old, right?
- 16:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:06Speaker 5: So too young, probably.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Do you have any plans to do any sort of
- 16:09Speaker 1: things like this for fall?
- 16:10Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:10Speaker 2: My wife really wants to take her to do both
- 16:13Speaker 2: of these things, like do the apples and the pumpkins
- 16:15Speaker 2: and all that stuff.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Like she can maybe grab an apple. The photo ops
- 16:20Speaker 5: are all over the place at those places.
- 16:22Speaker 2: And I still, my favorite is Anderson's, which I grew
- 16:26Speaker 2: up just down the road from. So I would like
- 16:29Speaker 2: to go back there. I mentioned visiting a pumpkin patch
- 16:32Speaker 2: was number three. Number four was, okay, I'm going to
- 16:36Speaker 2: read this exactly how it's written because I think it's
- 16:38Speaker 2: important to you. All the yummy fall foods like apple
- 16:42Speaker 2: cider donuts, which is listed right before pumpkin spice. Thank you.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I got a lot of hate for hating on pumpkin
- 16:51Speaker 1: spice yesterday on our socials, by the way, I would
- 16:53Speaker 1: like to say.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Are you a person who goes looking for the changing leaves,
- 16:58Speaker 2: the changing colors of the leaves?
- 16:59Speaker 1: I'm really excited because we do the Covered Bridge Festival
- 17:05Speaker 1: every year.
- 17:06Speaker 5: That's a great place to look at the changing leaves.
- 17:08Speaker 2: All those fall smells like a simmering pot, a bonfire,
- 17:13Speaker 2: that kind of stuff.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Football season. We talked football season. Yeah, 100%. How about
- 17:17Speaker 5: a corn maze?
- 17:19Speaker 4: Yes.
- 17:21Speaker 5: It's not my thing. I don't want to get lost
- 17:23Speaker 5: in there. Oh, I mean, they've got a lot of
- 17:24Speaker 5: dolly ones, though.
- 17:25Speaker 1: That's true.
- 17:26Speaker 5: I want to do dolly park and corn maze. We
- 17:27Speaker 5: mentioned Halloween. Always your favorite.
- 17:30Speaker 2: And the final one they have is just the relaxed
- 17:32Speaker 2: vibes when it comes to a rainy, cozy fall day,
- 17:35Speaker 2: which you might be getting today for the first day
- 17:37Speaker 2: of fall.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Annie and Cole, weekday mornings 6 to 10 on 97.1
- 17:40Speaker 4: Hank FM.
