But don't be smacking your shit Well, I'm eating a really tasty sausage. All right, quiet, quiet, quiet on set. Quiet on the set. Quiet on the set.
• 0:10
  [upbeat music] Hello, everybody.
• 0:31
Full Spectrum Cycling. One. Show number 141. [upbeat music] 141? Wow. That just smacks of goodness. It doesn't it, though? It does. It do. So does this. By cracky, hey. Hey, we're up in the
• 0:47
yet, as yet unfinished new generation, third, fourth, fifth generation [laughs] podcast studio now here- Which is-... at the West River Collective... looks like six times the size, even though it's, like, twice the size.
• 0:59
It is twice the size. Three? Yeah. Yeah. So, uh- It's way bigger and way more functional... as usual, I got JK to my right. Hello, hello, hello. Tony Burger directly across from me. Yep.
• 1:10
And the man making the walls in this whole space right now, James, sitting over there splitting the uprights- Hey... like a big old football head. Glad to stop in every once in a while. How very Stewie of you.
• 1:21
[laughs] You have been on the show quite a few times. Mum, Mum, Mummy. Mum. Mother. Mum. Mom. Mummy. Lois. Yeah, man. Uh, first on the docket I think should probably be Urban Jungle Cross.
• 1:40
Yeah. Yeah? Very good time. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you know, I, I was g- I was gonna not go 'cause I wasn't feeling that great, and I'm like, "You know what?"
• 1:48
About half an hour before it started, and James was already down there. He's like, "Here." I'm like, "Yeah, I think I'll just go down there." [laughs] Nice, bro.
• 1:56
You took a little burden off me, where [laughs] you're like, "Take some l- take some pictures." Yeah, no. And I already knew my phone ain't gonna take good pictures.
• 2:04
Well, I'll tell you what- I didn't bring my- It, it was dark under there- Yeah... and even with the, you know, a decent camera, it...
• 2:10
I gotta be honest, the, a good cellphone for normal, like, taking pictures of people, like, right by you stuff- Yeah... golly, they do a good job. Yeah.
• 2:18
But, uh, I got, you know, out of a couple hundred pictures, there's a couple keepers in there, but- Right. [laughs]... um, it was also kind of spur of the moment, and I'm like, "I think I, I don't have... I, whatever.
• 2:29
We'll just see what we get." And truth be told, I had been drinking beer with you earlier. And this is true. [laughs] I'm not... What does that mean? And had a great cheeseburger at Klinger's, so.
• 2:42
Oh, that was way earlier in the day. Making me jelly. I, um, I, I used the, uh, electric bike to get down there at, in a big hurry, but- [laughs] Nice...
• 2:51
but the problem with that was it wasn't charged, so coming back up the hills, it was- Ruh-roh... [laughs] it was, it was dead. [laughs] Oh, is that why you were whining?
• 2:59
It- Well, yeah, because I didn't have any power to keep up with you- Yeah, yeah, you know... massively legged people. [laughs] I mean, I haven't been riding that for- The nice thing about it is- Well, no...
• 3:06
is it does make you a stronger person when the batteries die, because you are pushing a lot heavier bike- Yeah... areas. Really, like, another- Oh, yeah... six pounds or something?
• 3:14
That makes it a little more s- that makes a little more sense... depends on how many batteries you got there. Yeah. Right? This was a struggle 'cause it was, like, Mr. Single Speed to my left and then- [laughs]... Mr.
• 3:21
E-bike Running Out of Battery behind me, and I'm riding a Fat in a headwind, so. Right. [laughs] With, like, 10 pounds of bike to- I'm like, "I'm going to the top of the hill."
• 3:28
[laughs] Yeah, JK definitely has a single speeding down. I will see you at the top of the hill. [laughs] Yeah, JK does definitely- I'll wait for you... and he plans it well because it's tough.
• 3:35
I'll wait for you at the top of the hill. [laughs] You know, when I ride a single speed, I do the same thing. I, I feel you. [laughs] I feel you.
• 3:41
What, are we gonna just sit here and, "Oh, yeah, let's commiserate as we slowly- And then I'm gonna bitch and moan the whole way out... go up the hill." No. Yeah, of course. No. No, no, no, no. Of course, there's moans.
• 3:48
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Hey, since we're already talking about e-bikes, I just wanna tell everybody- Oh, should we talk about that? [laughs]... how I, how I saved Tony 330 bucks somehow.
• 3:57
Some- Ooh, I'm so stoked about that... unbeknownst to me, these batteries that were hosed in the past are now suddenly self-repairing or something. [laughs] What?
• 4:06
I have no idea what happened to them, but they're, they seem- So the, the story is we, I plugged them in and they've been the... What kind, what charger is that? Satiator. The Satiator- Ah...
• 4:17
may have been set to eight amp charging. Yeah, for two little tiny batteries. Yeah. So apparently three. Right? Weren't they three? Still three.
• 4:25
So three that I way over amp to charge quickly apparently, then left because I was swapping batteries, and apparently left them on the charger like that for way too long. Well, it stops charging, but still.
• 4:37
But- They don't, they don't like to be hammered that hard, I guess. And they did a really cool funky light. Maybe I can find a video of that and put it out there. I still wanna know what it is.
• 4:45
If you have that, we should still send it to Grin and say, "What, what is this? What does this mean?" You should have it too. You should have it too. It means happy, happy, happy joy ride. Yeah. What is this?
• 4:52
Like, it, it does all this- What is this?... funky color dancing and- Victorious... yeah, they were dead.
• 4:56
They wouldn't do anything, and- Let them sit for six months after we moved and can't do anything, and the bike shop, which... I'm not even gonna go into the bike shop story right now, but- [laughs] Eventually...
• 5:08
we're gonna talk about bikes. I'm not sure if we're gonna have a bike shop [laughs] going forward. Well. We'll figure out a way. We'll see. You know what?
• 5:14
We're gonna have a bike l- living room or a bike lounge or a bike workshop or a bike garage somehow. We got way too much bike shit not to have something bike-oriented But the batteries work now.
• 5:23
But the batteries now work, which is where the $330 savings comes in. [laughs] That's the crazy news is 'cause I was gonna have to replace those mofos, and lo and behold. Yeah. Hey, you know what?
• 5:32
Uh, so those are all Li, uh, LiPos are everything now, right? Buy your batteries from Grin. Where's my thing? My deal. [laughs] My deal. My, see my thing?
• 5:38
My thing, that little thing with the handle on it looks like a lunchbox. That's a lifey Po4. Life- LiPo- LiPo 44, Po4. Hm. It's a
• 5:49
l- different battery chemistry, and that thing, I got it because I wasn't sure we were gonna have electricity up here. Mm-hmm.
• 5:55
So we could run the whole show with lights and computer and Roadcaster and phone and everything for, like, three hours on that thing Wow. Nice.
• 6:04
So now we have a fully portable rig that can go anywhere and doesn't need AC power. That screams camping. Yes. I know. It has two AC ports on it. It has a- Like 110 plug-in AC ports... 110, and it has a 60 watt USB-C.
• 6:19
It has a 30 watt quick charge, two 2.4 regular old USB ports, plus it has a bunch of dongles with, like, cigarette lighter shit and all sorts of stuff. That's- It's really fucking cool...
• 6:30
just for frame of reference, everybody out there, if you're wondering what it is, it's, it's actually pretty much exactly the size of your old Scooby-Doo lunch box. Yes, it is. Yeah, pretty much...
• 6:38
it's a, it's Ctechi, C-T-E- Little thinner... C-H, small I. Yeah. See the, see, see how they did that? Yeah. They put the tiny I on the backside instead of... It's not, it's not like an I- I'm gonna stretch for it...
• 6:49
device. I'm gonna stretch for it to get a weight. Oh, oh, Tony's going for it. Tony's gonna try and reach it. You get... Tony got dice on his coat. Oh, man. That's super portable. And it's got a light. I see that.
• 7:04
Got a bat and a light on it. It's got, like a... And I bet you it does SOS too, doesn't it, in case you're freaking dying by a bear attack? [singing] Can't you hear me calling SOS? All right. Yeah, I know.
• 7:13
I haven't- Yeah. Well, that's good, actually... I haven't actually... I just ran it and tested it to see if it would actually do the job, just in case we didn't.
• 7:20
So we just drilled a hole through the floor and ran an extension cord downstairs- [laughs]... and by cracky we got 120 volts up here. [laughs] So yeah. We're, we have a plan, though, to get real power up here.
• 7:31
I'm so stoked with this room. A, even though there's a bunch of stuff going on in the building, it's already quiet and we haven't even gotten the walls up to the ceiling yet. This is great. Right.
• 7:41
We're also on the second floor, uh, with no- nobody to our north. There's no other rooms over there. There's nobody to our west. There's a window. There are other rooms, they're just not attached to this building.
• 7:54
They're down, though. They're a floor down. So yeah. So we're, we're pretty excited about this. I'm actually kinda stoked on building it.
• 8:03
It's, it's been a minute since I've had a nice, uh, little creative project- Passion project... to put, uh, the mind to. Oh, you get creative. Put your gusto in. Oh, yeah. Your house too, Tony.
• 8:12
[laughs] [singing] Your house. Your house too. Oh, I get creative. [laughs] [singing] In the middle of that street. Your house. [singing] In the middle of that street. Your house.
• 8:18
[singing] Mm-mm, it's his castle and his keep. Mm. It's Tony Hanks over there. Right? Throw the money back. [laughs] All right. Well- Right... apparently we've wasted enough time already that we have a, we have a caller.
• 8:30
Let's, let's click the button and see what's going on with that. Welcome to the radio program. Caller, who do we have on the line? It's me, Amelia Kegel. Well, hello, Amelia. Hello, hello. Hello. Hello, Amelia.
• 8:45
You are very punctual. Holy mackerel. Holy mackerel. Uh, yes, indeed. Look at me tonight. [laughs] So how has Amelia been? We haven't, uh, talked to you a whole lot since the, uh, kinda weirdness of the COVID and stuff.
• 8:59
How, how, how's things been? Oh, you know, we're back at it, and, uh, yeah, it was pretty exciting last weekend. We had our first Huge Ass in two years, so that was pretty excellent. Nice. Right on.
• 9:13
Yeah, that's one of the things I want you to kinda talk about tonight, but... And the other thing, and you can pick which order you wanna go in, is the upcoming rampage, which is tomorrow. Oh, yeah. Reminder.
• 9:25
Because this goes up on Friday, but- [laughs] So yeah. So, um, yeah, either way, um, uh, I... So you had your first Huge Ass event, and that, which one was that? It was in... We went to Lake Geneva. There's where it was.
• 9:40
So, you know, one of our favorite spots. Yeah. It was, uh- That, uh, it was at Canopy?... it was at, it was 100 Acre Woods. Yeah. Yeah, it used to be called Canopy. Now called Zip Line and Adventures. Okay.
• 9:52
Um, but yeah, pretty, pretty fun spot. Like it a lot. And it was, like, 50 degrees out too, wasn't it? Uh, it certainly wasn't 32 as expected.
• 10:03
[laughs] Um, so it was quite a treat, and I think everyone was appreciative to, you know, dust off all the gear and get all ready and not have to, uh, freeze all the way to death yet. So, um, anyways, it was fantastic.
• 10:17
Uh, really happy for all the people that came. You know, we had over 200 riders, which was magnificent. Makes for a pretty good, uh...
• 10:24
You know, we're one of the only races that does, like, a mass start, uh, which is pretty funny, but also, like, gets a little crowded.
• 10:32
Uh, but anyways, it was fantastic, and really, uh, good to be back at it, good to see so many amazing people.
• 10:38
Uh, obviously you guys are no stranger to this, but, like, fat biking people are just more fun than the average human, so. [laughs] No. Yes, we are. No. No, wait. Yeah. It's different now.
• 10:49
It's electric bike people are the most fun now. Mm. Pooh, pooh. [laughs] No. [laughs] Electric fat bike people. Yeah, electric fat bike people. Are the most conflicted. Oh my God. No, they're just you.
• 10:59
[laughs] Why are you so conflicted? [laughs] So this, so y- so you already had the first event last weekend, and now there are how many more? We got five more to go.
• 11:11
So when I was younger and more ambitious, I think the highest number we ever got to was, like, 10 Huge Asses, which equated to be, like, something like one every other week, which was fantastic.
• 11:20
It got us really good at doing things. Uh, but you know- Sustaining... there's only so many weekends in any month. So yeah, we're up to s- we're, we're at six this year, so I think six is a nice healthy number.
• 11:31
I, I didn't really do calendar for calendar, but you know, George up at Broken Spoke, he's actually gonna be on next week, is doing the Snow Crown series. Yeah.
• 11:39
And I th- I think you guys kind of, you know, one weekend one, one weekend the other sort of an idea. I don't know how much overlap there is, but, uh- We, we try to stay pretty friendly.
• 11:48
Um, I think we do have one race that's the same weekend, but you know, there's plenty of geographic locations to pull from.
• 11:56
And you know, George does an amazing job up in, like, you know, the northern, uh, or what is that? Northeast part of the state. And then we kinda stick around the southeast part of the state.
• 12:05
Are you gonna be at the sandy, the- Of course... are you gonna go to the sandy place? What, what sand? What's that golf course with all the sand? Are you gonna be there again this year? Sand Valley is so fantastic.
• 12:15
You know, we found it was a little far away for us, so- Okay... uh, you know, Huge Ass started as a pla- Like, we really wanted to highlight, uh, the places that you could fat bike where there's a Wheel & Sprocket.
• 12:26
So, I think no, no secret here, but Wheel & Sprocket, uh, started the Huge Ass Series to try to get more people on fat bikes. Do you guys know this?
• 12:33
Like, a decade ago there weren't these things, or I don't know the exact numbers, but- Yeah, it's, it's still a fad... you know, this is new I heard it's a fad. Yeah, it's a fad. I think it's- Yeah, it's really a fad...
• 12:42
actually done already. Oh, it's going away. Oh, yeah. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. So I know you guys, obviously Wheel & Sprocket is the biggest Trek dealer in the state, but what- It's a US...
• 12:51
do, do you carry other brands of fat bikes now? Can you get, can you actually get any other fat bikes? Uh, yeah. I mean, I [laughs] fat bikes have been in short supply- Well...
• 12:58
so let us know what people can expect to find. For sure. So, uh, you know, due to the pandemic we really did... Well, we've always sold, like, Self, uh, makes a pretty fun fat bike.
• 13:08
I don't know if they're doing it anymore. Uh, Giant has a pretty awesome Yukon that's pretty fun. And then of course we w- carry, uh, Salsa, Salsa, [laughs] Salsa. [laughs] Salsa The new brand. Uh, look it up.
• 13:20
[laughs] So we got Salsa and Surly as well.
• 13:23
Uh, but you guys, you know, the Midwest doesn't get the representation that we deserve in the bike world, so a lot of, you know, the statistics for trends happen out on the East and the West Coast and they forget about us, uh, you know, Northern- [laughs]...
• 13:38
Midwesterns or whatever you wanna call us. Just fly over. Uh, so anyway, forecasting wasn't as, yeah, forecasting for fat bikes was really poorly done.
• 13:47
Um, you know, we're a pretty big bike shop, and I think we ordered something like 4 or 500 fat bikes, and before the season, uh, we got 10 of them. So, you know, we really wish we had more.
• 14:00
And, you know, this is the year to hold onto your fat bike or to try to find a friend that you can finagle one from. Um, but- [laughs]... a lot of our bikes, fat bikes, are gonna drop in, like, March.
• 14:10
Yeah, we got, we got a couple ones. So most unfortunate. So sorry. I, I got one. Well, it just, so, so my, uh, my, my, well, our, probably the same, Surly rep, and he, it was like,
• 14:20
"Um, they forgot to push a button, so we don't have any fat bikes [laughs] this year." I'm like, "They forgot to push one button?" [laughs] Are you kidding me? Get the hell out of here.
• 14:29
[laughs] You gotta fire that person, just kidding. Right? But, uh, yeah, you know- Or at least a flogging... uh, it's been a beautiful thing during the pandemic, like, people are riding bikes more than ever before.
• 14:41
Like, you know, the trail counting numbers during COVID were like, or, like, right in the, like, hotspots of the pandemic were, like, trail counters were up 200%, but since those hot days, uh, you know, it's really stayed up 60%.
• 14:53
So we're excited to see that. Like, that's an awesome trend. Like, people can grab a bike, go outside, have some fun. Uh, we're blessed so that there's more places to ride than ever before.
• 15:04
Um, and of course there's the argument to make that we need more trails, not less trails, especially with all this new user shit, so- More trails... you know, that's kind of built into everything. Very much.
• 15:15
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, that's, that's what we're trying to all do in our free time, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah, for sure. Mm-hmm.
• 15:20
So, okay, so we've got a link to the Huge Ass Series all over the, well, both, uh, f- Full Spectrum Cycling and over at the fatbike.com there with, uh, with the Gomez. There's, uh, definitely ways- Yeah...
• 15:31
to find out where the Huge Ass Series is happening. So now that we know about that- Yeah, should we go to, we could go on... Yeah, yeah, keep on going. Sorry.
• 15:39
I was just gonna say, now that we know about that a little bit, what, what about, uh, what about tomorrow with the Santa Rampage and the, uh, Global Fat Bike Day?
• 15:47
I, I kinda commingle them 'cause it's always on the same first Saturday of December, so. [laughs] Well, if you happen to be in the Milwaukee area, the best day on a bicycle, uh, in this town is the Santa Rampage day.
• 15:59
So typically the first Saturday of every December. Uh, this year there are already 800 pre-registered riders, and we're expecting 3,000 Santas- Holy schnikes... uh, to come out on Saturday. And there's a lot of Santa.
• 16:14
[laughs] Um, and of course, you know, you can decorate yourself in any holiday decor. It doesn't have to be a Santa. Um- Satan. You know, there's pretty awesome- Satan Claus...
• 16:22
yeah, there's an awesome dreidel guy that comes every year. Yep, every year. He's the best. And, uh, we accept all types. He is the best. It's excellent. You guys should come.
• 16:31
I would love to come, but I've committed to going to Rochester for their Toys for Tots drive, which is also a Santa Rampage that our friend, uh, Ron Chewy Moffitt, he's been down here for several Rampages, and he took it upon himself to organize up there in Rochester a similar event.
• 16:49
And, uh, they do the Toys for Tots grabbing of the prizes to give to the childrens. Oh, that's fantastic. Right.
• 16:56
You know, Milwaukee, uh, for, people often forget, but actually the Santa Rampage in Milwaukee is a fundraiser for Wisconsin Bike Fed, which I'd be remiss to not just mention.
• 17:05
It's the, uh, nation's largest bicycle advocacy group. We're pretty proud that it's here in Wisconsin. Um, but really the- Even with Jake?... am there, it, like, makes- [laughs] Stop it, Tommy. Oh, I know. [laughs] Hey.
• 17:16
Well, so- I love you, Jake. There was a timer. Yeah. I mean, it was like a fuse set. It was. It was just great. [laughs] I had to throw a Jake comment in. I'm sorry. Yeah, Jake.
• 17:24
I promised I wouldn't talk through this interview, but Jake. [laughs] I'm done. So, uh, yeah, and in fact, uh, Schlabowski texted me today and said, "Do you have a guest for today?"
• 17:33
I'm like, "Yeah, we got Amelia, so Dave, I'm sorry." [laughs] I don't really need you today. [laughs] Uh, yeah, Dave started this whole thing- I know... like, whenever. Yeah, he did... it's awesome. Yeah, it was great.
• 17:42
Back then. Uh- Uh, it's been going on for- Back w- with him... a dozen years-ish. I dunno. It's been going on for quite a while. A week. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely.
• 17:50
I mean, some of those first ones, they were- Yeah, I really- They were crazy. They were riding through, like, Kappas, and they were riding through Rapinoes, and they were- [laughs]...
• 17:57
going over the Hoan Bridge, and it- [laughs]... was more of a definitely an underground thing originally.
• 18:02
But I mean, so the original idea, which I try to mention every year, is that the reason it existed, besides being a fundraiser, which I'm not even sure the first years were, was just to raise awareness that people ride bicycles year-round.
• 18:15
And if people see Santas on bicycles- Yeah... they go, "Oh, yeah, people are riding their bikes and stuff."
• 18:20
So- [laughs] I think, you know, it's, it's just such a good awareness thing, and there's, there's many, many cities around the country that have picked up the Santa Rampage- Mm-hmm... um, you know, flag- Vibe...
• 18:30
flag vibe, whatever, and are, are running with it. So I, I think it's fantastic that it keeps going here, and also that w- pretty much originated in Milwaukee. Yeah, it's pretty cool.
• 18:40
[laughs] I honestly look forward to it way more than actual Christmas Day. Like, it's better than that, so. Right. Right. [laughs] There's nothing like the random people... Everyone points on the street- Yeah...
• 18:50
and they're like, "Santa! Santa!" [laughs] Yeah, it's great. Um- So what can people expect? I know it, I know it starts down on the Beecher Street location there at your fine, uh, Wheel & Sprocket location.
• 19:00
But what, what can they expect from the ride this year? Because it's kinda morphed into something a little bit different than in past years. Yeah.
• 19:07
You know, I think, uh, Bike Fed recognized that this has grown bigger than just meeting up on a street corner, so we are, uh, blocking off Robinson Street right in front of the big Wheel & Sprocket in Bay View.
• 19:18
Uh, you know, before the ride heads off, which is at 9:15, uh, we have the Keggle Bin food truck for bloodies and brats and all that good stuff.
• 19:26
Uh, Wheel & Sprocket staff will help pour you some shot skis before the ride if you're into that kind of stuff. Ah. Mm-hmm. Um, yeah. And then there's gonna be a 10-mile loop.
• 19:35
People can peel off and go wherever they'd like.
• 19:37
Um, there are a few businesses that are participating that'll give you, like, a drink special, but the route itself is gonna continue on a 10-mile loop, and then come back to the Bay View, uh, store where, again, we'll h- be hosting a big old after party.
• 19:52
Uh, but it's also a really good idea to, like, peel off and go to your, some of your fan favorite spots. So, like, you gotta go to Kitsch Haus. Absolutely. You gotta go to Great Lakes. [laughs] Mm-hmm.
• 20:00
You gotta go to Lakefront, so. So, so who at the table is gonna represent at the Santa Rampage this year from, from, from our crew right here? Right here. Well, Michael definitely. Uh, JK is gonna go.
• 20:13
[laughs] Is everybody going? James is probably on it. I'm a definitely maybe. Tony's got a birthday party or something. Well, I'm gonna be on when- My daughter's turning 16. [laughs] And I pitched it to her really hard.
• 20:23
All right, I have to just throw this in there. Not only did I pitch this to her really hard, but yesterday someone gave me a handmade Gunner Roadie, 24-inch wheels- Ooh... and a 3x10 Campy drivetrain,
• 20:42
and she won't- Ooh... come on Santa Rampage with me. Yeah, it's a sad story, Amelia, uh, that I don't wanna get into. [laughs] But the fact of the matter is they gave me the bike, and I, and I...
• 20:52
This is my former dentist, and I love him to death, and, and, uh, but, but I, he, he had no idea what bike he had, and I explained it to him. And I'm like, "Do you still wanna give it to me?" And he's like, "Of course."
• 21:05
And I'm like, Jesus, now I feel really bad because he just gave me, like, an extremely expensive bicycle for free, and it fits my daughter perfectly. For free. And I'm like, "Uh-oh."
• 21:17
Take her on a ride across the country. You know? I mean- That's what I'd do on that thing... it's an unbelievably fast, beautiful bicycle, so yeah. Uh- You know, sometimes amazing things drop out of the sky...
• 21:26
she still won't do Santa Rampage with me, and I offered to buy her a red dress and everything. I could, I could post the picture where she's sitting in the background of me- Yes...
• 21:35
where she has, like, the little- I have-... the, the little, uh-... 10 Santa Rampages with her... yeah, yeah. You know? And like I said to, for Jungle Cross- [laughs]... just put young Daniel on the front rack. Right.
• 21:45
Now, now he can be the elf. [laughs] I mean, you know? So. All right, Amelia, well, I... Do you have anything you wanna leave us with?
• 21:51
I, I really appreciate you calling and talking about Huge-Ass series and also Santa Rampage. Uh, anything you wanna leave us with- Uh, no... a thought? Hey, here's a question. What's your favorite metal band?
• 22:02
[laughs] Uh, you know, I wish I had more... I guess, like, Rush, 'cause I'm not that cool, but [laughs] No, Rush is cool. Yeah, that, that, that's a great answer. I was thinking...
• 22:11
Oh, I was gonna, I was gonna put hair- No dissent... I was gonna put hair metal in there, too. No. Oh, yeah. [laughs] Yeah, there were, there, there wa- All right. No...
• 22:18
there was a little bit of hair metal, uh, floating through the, uh, the ear waves on the way in here today. Yeah. [laughs] I kinda, I kinda got the hair metal going, but, uh...
• 22:27
Uh, again, Amelia, hey, anytime you wanna be on the show, uh, you're welcome to be on here. I'll probably call you and bug you. I got some other ideas.
• 22:32
I got a son that's looking for an Eagle project, and it's bike oriented. I may sic him on you. Okay. That kinda thing. [laughs] But- That sounds fantastic...
• 22:41
but thanks, thanks again Uh, everyone, I'm so appreciative of you guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thanks for doing what you guys do and keeping the spirit, uh, fun and, and weird. It's great. Yeah, weird. Hail Santa.
• 22:52
Uh, thanks for everything. We're keeping it weird. Hail Sa- hail Satan. Hail Santa. All right, Amelia, thanks again. All right. Well, hope to see you all out there. Awesome. Okay.
• 22:58
Sign up within a couple weeks then- All right... next week. See you tomorrow. Bye bye. Yep. Bye. Amelia Keggle, everyone. Uh, Huge-Ass- Wheel & Sprocket...
• 23:05
Huge-Ass Fat Bike series, uh, Santa Rampage, Wheel & Sprocket, all around, um- Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera... second generation Keggle bike shop person, so everybody, Amelia's cool.
• 23:17
I hope that ends up, like, a 10th generation business. Yeah, that would be cool, wouldn't it? I mean, they're, they- Yeah... they are, they- All right... know what the hell they're doing...
• 23:25
stop with the moving of that fucking thing all the time. [laughs] James just keeps touching and poking and fucking around with his thing. Just leave it there. Stop fucking with it.
• 23:33
[laughs] Leave your dangle on the dongle. You're, you're the professional singer and, and musician here. Don't touch your shit. Yeah. I got headphones on- Jake... and, uh, the button in my head- Jake...
• 23:43
is, like, poking into my head. We gotta give him, we gotta give him a real microphone next time. All right. And a guitar. Yeah, or I'll just bring, bring my microphone and headphones.
• 23:52
[laughs] Oh, is it that time already? [bell ringing] By cracky, it's the top of the hour, everybody. Thank you, JK. Oh, here. That was a hell of hill. Talk amongst yourselves.
• 24:07
I gotta, I gotta sext, uh, Chewy, 'cause he's at whatever. He- Sext? You're gonna sext Chewy? He, he lost the call-in number. You're joking. Of course he did, 717-727. Right? Oh, boy.
• 24:19
Look, it's bigger than a chess piece. Yeah. [laughs]So we're at the top of the hill with a, uh, a old favorite of Lakefront Brewery's Hazy Rabbit. Yes. Hazy IPA. It's delicious and dangerous. It- [sighs] That is an...
• 24:35
I- if that's not what it says on the container- [laughs]... that's what it should say. Yeah, 'cause it's, it's really easily drinkable, but it can carry a wallop. It'll just kinda lay you out.
• 24:46
And unfor- And- I don't know what it is, maybe it's the many, the- Hops... I think, what is it Tully that goes with this? [laughs] I don't know, but- Tully goes pretty well, yeah. It's like $5- I will say-...
• 24:57
for a Tully and a-... should you end up at Bremen for the, whatever it is, s- Oh, that little lunchbox... $6 liter. That is Bremen Cafe. Yeah, Bremen Cafe. At 901 East Clark Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Riverwest.
• 25:11
Riverwest. 53212. 3212. Should you- Hey... get the liter of that, you may be in trouble. Yeah. I should probably make a quick, because this is what we're...
• 25:21
So we've moved our podcast studio upstairs, and part of the reason we did this is because 53212 Presents is using a big space up here for
• 25:30
all sorts of stuff like theatrical performances, violin recitals, book readings, all sorts of stuff.
• 25:38
And a lot of these folks, and some jamming, a lot of these folks are maybe interested in podcasting or casting of the pods. So we're gonna be right in the, right in the zone up here.
• 25:47
Plus, we're away from all the nasty noise. I haven't heard any noise from them. It has been much quieter than- Ding, ding... yeah, the, the constant- Ding goes the bell. There is that guy. No.
• 25:55
We could, we could still, we could still hear the ding once he finally takes over the rest of this fucking first floor. Maybe. Yeah. Well, that's okay. I heard the- We'll be good.
• 26:03
We'll be, we'll be isolated very well up here. Shock treatment. I heard the dings are, fries are done ding auto on the Fox- Fries are done... yeah, Fox 6. Oh, yeah, he was on, he was on Fox 6 this morning.
• 26:13
Yeah, that dude. Yes. I saw a couple, a, a couple quick ones with him. Well, it drove me nuts because it's that rrr. Shart truck. It was on that, well, that shit. Shit, shitbird.
• 26:22
Yeah, 'cause, uh, your, one of your buddies was here this morning. My... Yeah. Yeah. [laughs] All right, uh- So [laughs]... I'm pushing- Yes... I'm pushing a button again. Oh, no. Pushing a button now. Push the button.
• 26:32
He's conflicted. Push the button. Is that the electric bike guy? Hey, welcome to radio program caller. Who do we have on the line? God, I hope so. Hey, guys. What's up? And yes, this is the electric bike guy.
• 26:41
I thought so. [laughs] Hey, what, when you, how did you- Quit pushing my buttons... how'd you lo- how'd you lose the phone number for, by criminis? Well, so I, I, think it's tied in with m- my retirement. Interesting.
• 26:53
And when they discontinued my phone number or my, uh, my email address, I lost, like, everybody's names with their phone numbers. So I have- Consumer Cellular?... phone numbers with no names to them. Oh, boy. Yeah.
• 27:06
So when people text me, it's like they ask me a question, I'll go, "Yes, and who the hell is this?" [laughs] Actually, I am in that same boat. [laughs] Like only, like, half of my contacts, like, flo- floated over.
• 27:16
New phone, who dis? Yep, yep. Well, we, we just got off the horn with Amelia Kegel. She was a wonderful guest as always. And now we have to suffer through Chuy. That was awesome. So what's happening, brother?
• 27:26
[laughs] Well, let's see. It's been m- rather miserable around here lately. Um, weather's been good, but, uh, riding has been slim to none. Yeah. Um, we are ready, we are gonna do the Santa Rampage on Saturday.
• 27:38
You guys are coming, correct? Yeah, I'm sorry. Like tomorrow, right? I apologize in advance, but I think Luns is coming with me. Oh, mag. Sorry. [laughs] Gather- We have, so we have-... gather ye your bail buddy.
• 27:48
[laughs] Yeah, we, we have a hotel room at the same place as, uh, as Lee. And is he staying with your son or something? What the hell's going on with that? Or is that your- My son?... is that your other son?
• 27:58
Lee Allen and, oh, is Spinner your son? Who's switch, who's staying with Lee? Oh, yeah. The other son is staying with him, yeah. Yeah. The, uh, the, uh, what do you call him?
• 28:05
Um, the one that was booted out of the house, the, uh, whatever fancy word you wanna call it. He was kicked out of the house, yeah. Right. He's, uh- Problem child... we got a little bit of a problem here.
• 28:13
You know, he's gonna have people stay, but we don't, we only have a dog with dementia. What? Is that a thing? Yes. Yeah. It is a thing. We didn't even, we didn't know what was going on. He was having accidents.
• 28:23
He's an older dog. You've met Hank. And he's an older dog, and he's having trouble.
• 28:26
And, um, all of a sudden, for no reason, he was, I was, I was doing some hockey stuff, like, late one night, and all of a sudden I look and he's just standing there staring off through the hallway for, like, 15 minutes, and he never moved.
• 28:39
And I thought, "This is really weird." And then he would be up all night pacing. And then Sue looked it up and yes, it's doggie dementia and it's a real thing, and it's, there's nothing they can do about it. So- No...
• 28:50
if you guys were to stay here, you would have a dog walking in, and he makes the weirdest crying noises. It's the weirdest...
• 28:56
It's, it's not really a ghost, but it would be like a ghost's second cousin sound coming out of him. Wow. That's a s- Oh... that's a sad story. Poor dude. That makes me think about Chad.
• 29:04
No, him and Luns might get along really well. Yeah. Well, yeah, he stares off into space all the time too. [laughs] Exactly. And makes noises. Hey, so guess what- He doesn't come with ears...
• 29:12
I, I was gonna, I was gonna mention something, and I, before I forget it.
• 29:16
Because you'd mentioned that you wanna do a thing with Stevil one of these days, and you know he's got a podcast already with Robot Chicken or whatever that guy's name is. Um, but- Yeah, I don't... Yeah...
• 29:27
but I ordered one of Stevil's skateboard decks today just 'cause I'm like, I don't really skate anymore, but I did a lot, and I really like his new deck. So I think there's like 130 of them left.
• 29:36
If anybody wants a Stevil Knievel kick-ass clown weirdo skateboard deck, I would probably go get one sooner than later. Yes. 'Cause they'll, they will go fast, I'm sure. Yeah. And it's really cool.
• 29:48
It's, I forget what he calls the clown, 'cause I'm a clown and I can't remember that stuff. But, uh- Yeah. All right... I've got, I've got my, I've got my Indy 151s from about 1982 or something.
• 29:59
[laughs] And, uh, you know, I got some new wheels on, newer-er wheels on there. But somehow my son, thank you, Garrett, I think it was Garrett. I'm not positive. Could've been my daughter. It was your other son.
• 30:09
Could've been me for all I fucking know. But somebody left the other deck that I had outside, and it got wet, and it delaminated, so I needed a new deck anyway.
• 30:17
So I'm kind of justifying this by the fact that my old deck is broken in half now. And can you imagine how many guys use their, their cool old decks that they wish they had now, uh, for the deck on their extra cycles?
• 30:29
Yeah, that was only- I-... you could build them at first... I- Yeah, Lunz had one, I think... you know, dude, I bought a long board just for my exercycle and it ended up being too short. I was so bummed.
• 30:39
[laughs] Life is too short. I had to turn... Right. I had to turn the trucks on the front inward in order to... It, I mean, it wasn't that big a deal.
• 30:47
I could still ride somewhere, turn the trucks, bolt them down, and ride it some more. You know, so I could ride my exercycle somewhere, throw down my long board, ride that, come back, and, you know.
• 30:58
Did you have to take the trucks off every time to turn them around? Yeah. That seems like an awful lot of work. Yeah, you don't know what I did.
• 31:03
Well, you had to, you had to take your guitar- You don't know what I did though because I had an exercycle... and your fucker thing, and your... I threw them on the side and didn't care anymore. Right. I just rode it.
• 31:11
[laughs] Just smell like- You put the snap deck back on... college, college douchebag. [laughs] So I'm smelling on that, I'm going like, "Oh, God. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah."
• 31:18
Well, Chew, tell us about that- Just strumming... I'm gonna put this, a picture of this bike in the show notes, but you gotta... What's, what's with that, what's with that...
• 31:25
He sent me a picture of a chopper with air horns- [laughs]... and all sorts of crazy shit on it. What's that? It's got like- It- What's up with that? It, it's- Yeah, yeah. The...
• 31:33
I've got some friends, I got some friends that own, um, it's called Junk Be Gone. It's, it's, um, one of those, you know, come and clean out the clutter out of your house, right?
• 31:40
And now and then they get bicycles, uh, they, they send me a picture and they yay or nay him. You know, usually it's some huffies.
• 31:46
And being in Rochester, we get a lot of residents and doctors that come in, buy brand new bikes for their kids. They ride them twice and they go away. So we grab those and donate them- Right... to different things.
• 31:55
Right. Um, and actually every now and then we get some really nice bikes. However, this is one that she sent me a picture of yesterday, and she said yay or nay, and I'm just like- Yeah. [laughs]... oh, yay. Hell, yeah.
• 32:05
[laughs] Let's take that thing. And the... And what I got is it's like...
• 32:09
So this guy's actually, um, you know, some of the, uh, some of the parts on them, like the, the exhaust pipes and the sissy bar, I think, and a few odds and ends are actually, uh, from the company out...
• 32:19
Is it called Lowrider? The company out of California that you can literally buy- Yeah, they, they kinda look that way, yep... all those parts to make... Yeah, so that's, that's some of the stuff.
• 32:27
But then it looks like he's welded some on the frame. Love it. So like there's a bracket that holds... There's a lot to it.
• 32:32
There's a bracket that holds the two little cheesy pla- uh, plastic air horns, and then he made this diamond plate metal bracket that sits on top of it with a lever inside there.
• 32:44
And then you got [laughs] on the water bottle cages under the side, he's got these two little things that says nitrous on it, and then that's his horn. And then you, you pull on a lever and it shoots the air out of it.
• 32:53
It's actually kinda, it was kinda rinky-dink, but it's kinda cool. And it's a really... In its day it was probably a really good saddle and, and, and back on it.
• 33:01
But that's all pretty much- So that sissy bar is like four feet tall... the back of it. It's badass. [laughs] We, we need to look for fire species.
• 33:07
And it's got a gigantic piece of, of diamond on the back of it, so this thing is probably 95 pounds. It makes- That's why- It makes your bike look light... oh, perfect, perfect candidate for a motor.
• 33:14
Less, less is- Let's throw a, let's throw a motor at that thing. [laughs] Yeah. [laughs] We'll make it a shit ton of fun to ride, man. [laughs] Keep your Electra Glides away from that.
• 33:24
[laughs] Are, are you trying to- Did you... Chew, I know- If you look at it, I think he actually cut the frame.
• 33:28
Chew, I know you're not- It look, it looks like he cut the frame and, and peeled the front end out a little bit on it, you know? Raked it out a bit too. Well, yeah, custom. Gotta have a rake.
• 33:36
It's, it's, it is going home with you, right? 'Cause I think it belongs in Milwaukee. Oh, for Craig. I don't know. Oh. Oh, for Craig. Oh, I want this.
• 33:43
I don't know where we're gonna put it because our- It'll go fine in State College... our bike shop is, is waning. We've, since... We're, we're gonna have to do something different here- Maybe kick that...
• 33:50
than we're doing, and I'm not... But it like, it can come back. It can- It's gonna end up in my shop with all the other weird stuff. Yeah. [laughs] Well, it'll go over by James' place. Yep. Yeah.
• 33:58
So- You, you might be able to get re- you might be able to trade it for something else, 'cause I did send a picture to Zeagle too, and he gave me a big ooh. Ooh. [laughs] Ooh. Okay, so, uh, we're coming up to Rochester.
• 34:10
We're doing Santa Rampage up there with you all and Urins. What, what can we expect- Urins... in, 'cause we just talked to Amelia about how kickass Milwaukee Santa Rampage is gonna be.
• 34:19
What's, what's happening up there in Rochester? Ours is way smaller. Um, it's, you know, we did one a year. We did two years I think, and then we had COVID kinda blew it up.
• 34:30
And I don't wanna say we debated about doing it, but it was, it kinda snuck up on us. We haven't done a very good job of advertising.
• 34:36
We've been posting out quite a bit, 'cause, um, we turned ours, ours in trying to help the Marines with Toys for Tots, and so we're gonna do a lot of pick up toys. Um- Yeah, yeah...
• 34:46
it's basically the same for- I knew that it was a tie-in with Toys for Tots- Yeah... for sure. Yeah, it's, it's, um, Grinch is gonna pull the trailer- That's-...
• 34:53
and, like we did last year, and we're gonna go from, uh, we've got a small, um, mom-and-pop bar here, uh, called Brothers, and then there's a, a place called Taco Jed's that are side by side. It's Ma and Pa.
• 35:04
And so we'll start in that area and go to different places. Why is it called Brothers? Shouldn't it be called- Well, because originally it was, uh-... Ma and Pa's? Bob's your uncle?
• 35:10
The, the Fulton family that have all the good pizza places in town also has started this for, I think he said it's for one of their other brothers, and so it's a family owned- I'm giving you shit, dude...
• 35:18
it was at that time. Now it's just- Is there a Godfather's Pizza in there? I'm giving you shit, dude. Did you drink a beer tonight? Yes, there is a Godfather's. What's on top of your head? Deep cut. Oh.
• 35:26
[laughs] By the way, have you guys ever poured a, a Busch Light into a glass? Why? Why? It's the most fucking sad looking. [laughs] I don't- No. No... I, I have to play hockey, so that's what I'm drinking. Oh. Oh.
• 35:38
It's horrible. What time do you play? Uh, 9:00. Oh, good. Well, you got plenty of time- Till when?... plenty of time to get ready. Plenty of time to limber up. Till, till like dawn? Or... It just feels that way.
• 35:48
No, we have to be, we have to be out of there by 10:30 so we can go drink beer. Whoa. Very good. We don't play hockey- Fucking tired... to play hockey. We play hockey so we have an excuse to get out of the house.
• 35:56
So I'm gonna bring my- But-... I'm gonna bring a fat bike and a clunker, and you, you don't think I need to bling, bling, bling a, bling a trailer? Do I, do I need to bring a trailer- Bling... to carry toys?
• 36:06
I don't think so, no, because, because, um, we're gonna get, uh, somebody's gonna meet us along the way to unload the trailer once. I don't know. We've never filled it up twice.
• 36:14
So most of them is, uh, it's, it's more of a convenience for the Marines so that they can, they've got other stops to make, so I don't think we're gonna run into them tomorrow.
• 36:21
So we're gonna donate the, get the toys out, and then we can carry on with the ride as more of a-... drunken Santa Clauses, right? [laughs] I guess we look at, you know, we- Yeah. The true spirit of the ride.
• 36:31
[laughs] Basically in Milwaukee, the, uh, five miles of, the five miles of official and the, uh, 25 hours of unofficial stupidity, stupidity. Yes. Yeah. Yes, yes.
• 36:39
That's, see, that's not how Rampage is here anymore, but that's how it should be. [laughs] That's how it, well, that's how- That's how it's gonna come back... that's how Michael is doing his Rampage.
• 36:46
Yeah, but you can actually do your own personal Rampage [laughs] if you want. Well, I was gonna, I was gonna say that.
• 36:50
I'm going like, you know, I'm gonna start at The Original, or the original to me start, simply because it's right by my ATM, by my bank. I'll have my own beer, crack it there, then run down to Nomad, pre-game there.
• 37:05
Then run over to Great L- or to Lakefront, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, Great Lakes, and then I'll decide if I wanna go to Cohaskis. And then maybe I'll go down to Bay View.
• 37:15
Is that kind of, that's kinda like what we did- Mm-hmm... the year that tsunami came down, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Totally. That's kind of like been the- That's the usual. Yeah. Yeah.
• 37:22
That was the old, that was the old school route. The usual. The, the new school route is more like- Yeah... there's gonna be way too many people to put at any one spot. So you're, you're gonna try to rotate?
• 37:30
Yeah, 'cause there will be over 1,000 people starting it, and you just can't... There's nowhere in the city that can take that many people. They, they don't want to get the COVID.
• 37:36
Like they call it in golf, or they call it, the thing they call it the shotgun start. Shotgun start, huh? Do shotgun a beer and then get going. Right. We'll give that- The old Rascal's days, huh? Shotgun a start.
• 37:45
All right, Chewy, well, uh, anything else you wanna say? 'Cause we're gonna see you this weekend, and we are doing a Clunker. Yeah, um, I- We're doing a Clunker podcast, right? Yes, we're doing the Pun- Clunker podcast.
• 37:54
We, um, it's gonna kinda depend on Captain and, Captain and, uh- Captain Dan Seale... Skinner as to when they have to get their dogs picked up, 'cause the dogs are going on a- Oh. Oh... on vacation away from those two.
• 38:04
So, um, I'm hoping either mid... I'd kinda like to do it mid- mid-ride of the Santa Rampage, um, if we can stay sober long enough to make it feasible. But I, I, I think I'm, I'm working on a plan. I got a plan.
• 38:15
All right. So I don't have to bring my fancy microphone? I think that's the weakest link. I'm gonna, I'm gonna sound so different if I have to use your headset or something. [laughs] I'll be like, "How's it going, guys?"
• 38:23
Well, you can. I have the other- "Why did your feet leave the helium?" I have the other... [laughs] I have one other boom if you wanna br- I have a boom and a stand if you wanna just bring a mic with. Eh, maybe.
• 38:31
And a cord. So, okay, so one thing I wanted to know- Thanks, thanks... from your last show- Thanks...
• 38:35
which by the way, I have already listened to, which is awesome, and done some minor cleanup on it, but I'll, I gotta get... It's a l- it's an hour and a half long, so it took a while.
• 38:45
But, uh, what does Bergie- Yeah, I'm sure... what, what microphone did Bergie get? Do you know? He hasn't bought one yet that I know of. Oh, okay.
• 38:51
Um, there's some, uh, the company that you- y- you hooked us up with, uh, has some really good deals going on right now, and I don't know which one he was going to order.
• 39:00
I've, it's hockey season, and he, he and I are going opposite directions, and we really don't see each other much. Yeah. I'm hoping he shows up on Saturday, but- Isn't-...
• 39:06
I think his, they've got a game, so I doubt we're gonna see him... isn't hockey season all year? It is, but this is, we're high school coaches, and so we had our first game last night.
• 39:17
They, they started two weeks earlier. The girls start two weeks earlier than boys. Um, so he's been at it a little bit harder than I do.
• 39:22
But our season's compact because it's, because it's high school and it's a regular high school sport, so it's, uh, 14 weeks long, and we compact 30 games and practices into 14 weeks. So it's, it's busy, busy for us.
• 39:34
Yeah, it does it. I'm, I'm actually lucky that I have this week off. You poor Craig. But you retired. How can you keep doing that? Yeah. 'Cause you retired. I'm telling you guys, retirement is hard.
• 39:43
It's really hard being retired. You don't... Shut up. People, everybody thinks I have oodles of free time, and I don't. Wait till you see my shop when you get up here.
• 39:50
[laughs] Oh, did you a- did you order any more, uh, Clunkers by the way, Craig? Well, not yet, because I'm not sure what we're gonna do. Uh, it, long story. I'll tell it, I'll tell it to you when I'm up there.
• 39:59
But, uh- Okay... there are changes afoot. 'Cause I got, I got four in. Yeah? Cool. I got two left. I got two black ones left. I got four.
• 40:06
I just wish they would've ma- I also have- I wish they would've gotten, given dealer price on the Yellowstone one before I bought it at full retail, but whatever. Yeah.
• 40:13
Well, uh, that's when we did the spinners, and then, and then I, and then I did get, I did get one of each of those when they, when they did them to the dealers now. So yeah. There we go.
• 40:21
We'll, we'll talk more about that, um, tomorrow. Right on. All right, brother. Great. Good. Be happy- Okay. See you tomorrow... to be running it up there. Good talking, guys. Right on. Good to hear from you.
• 40:28
See you on the weekend, everybody. Bye. Bye. Bye, y'all. Chewy, baby. Chewy, Chewy babies, ladies and gentlemens. Chewy. Get, get a Clunker up there in Rochester, 'cause that's what you can do. Chewy. It's Chewy.
• 40:38
So, uh, couple quick things. Tony digs something. I don't know. It's some, some, some PDW cargo bag. That's- That's a pretty cool little, it- All right.
• 40:47
Wait, I gotta click on the thing, 'cause that's a- Well, that'd be helpful... I just wanna see what it is. What is it? I, I gotta open it up. There we go. Paint the word picture, Tony. Redirecting you.
• 40:55
Oh yeah, look at that thing. What is this? Hot take. Huh. And it wraps around three of the most popular, like, you know, water bottle things. And I th- I, I saw it, and I'm like, "That makes sense."
• 41:05
That's a nice engineered product. Huh. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, there's a Klean Kanteen. There's a dang old whatever. Yeah. Blah dee blah. It, it, it fits into another, a number of different- 25 bucks. Yeah. PDW.
• 41:21
Would this fit in there? I don't know. That would fit in there, yeah. Would this fit in there? Uh- That would probably fit in-... probably a tall boy... I, uh- So it's just an excuse to have a tall boy. I also- Yeah.
• 41:29
Yeah... wanted to just alert everybody that Pat Smage is now a gravel rider apparently. [laughs] Everyone watch your- 11... Okay, wait. 11- Watch your crotches, everybody. [laughs] Wait a minute.
• 41:39
11 time AMA National Trials champion now rides his bike on gravel. Not my testicles. Except that he does it really cool, though, [laughs] so it's way better than just- Or his small moms... normal people riding on gravel.
• 41:53
His small moms. Yeah, no. Go Smage. You're the man. No shit. On gravel. Oh, Tony finally got a Synology. Oh, god. DS220+. [laughs] Your time. Yeah, I know. I got mine before you. I can't believe it.
• 42:06
So I can now, it took me until last night. The, I can take a picture of all of us. It'll show up on my Google Photos. I can delete it- And it's already on my NAS and it's there Yeah, I haven't gone that far yet.
• 42:22
Oh, it's incredible. I'm just using it for- That thing is bad... kind of, kind of for local backup.
• 42:25
I do my, I do my backups on it and stuff and- Yeah, I, I finished off last night, 'cause I was at the threshold of my Google- Yeah... you know, drive 15 terabyte Oh, so you wanna get rid of that and put it on your NAS.
• 42:34
So I- Yeah, you don't need- I moved everything to my NAS and I deleted it... Morpheus over here. So I deleted six gigabytes of m- pictures, freaking out. Six gigawatts.
• 42:44
And then l- went and looked, I'm like, "Oh, they're all still there." There you go. Nice. I, oh, yeah. Hey, that Synology 220+ is pretty nice. You can run it in RAID 1 configuration, so you have redundancy.
• 42:53
That's what I'm doing. I'm, I can't wait till I can get a five bay one though, 'cause RAID 6 baby. Also, Shiba Inu. Where it all begins. Everybody buy Shiba Inu. You know why?
• 43:02
Yeah, I, I think you might be happy buying some Shiba Inu right now. Well, I took all...
• 43:05
So w- Tony and I both got, we're co- Coinbase guys, and if you're a Coinbase person, you can earn free crypto by just kinda like watching videos and learning about crypto.
• 43:15
And it, it's like 50 bucks, 47, 53- Yeah, 50 bucks... whatever it is. So I've now converted almost all of those free ones into Shiba. Let's see how that works for me. So now I have seven and a half million. Oh, nice. Mm.
• 43:28
[laughs] I, I'm a, I'm a Shiba millionaire. [laughs] I am a, I am, I have 6.9 million. Yeah, right. [laughs] Well, you could like- Why... oh, look at you, Scrooge McDuck- Why are those with lasers?
• 43:37
[laughs] Like, dive into your money vault... it, it's wee- Which is, which is now worth like 346 bucks or something. But I'm just saying. No, it's not. Yeah, yeah, it is about worth that. Somewhere in there.
• 43:45
I paid $200 worth for mine, and it's worth 200. Okay. But here's the thing about Shiba. Just remember the opening credits of DuckTales when Scrooge McDuck dives- Yeah... into his vault of all the coins. I want that.
• 43:53
Yep, coins. The, the thing about Shiba though- The crushes that it installed... that I'd be looking at real hard is that they're- Gaming... they're, they're getting into gaming, so.
• 44:01
I, I do- We're gonna start, Tony and I are gonna start our own crypto show.
• 44:04
Yeah, I think so, because- It's how we, it's, it's how we, it's, [laughs] it's gonna be our crypto journey and how we fucking lost all of our money- Or did we?... on crypto. Or- Or- Or- Did we? Did we? [laughs] Right.
• 44:17
Hey, everybody. Tune in next- When you buy-... 'til next episode... f- full, full crypto something, I don't know. Yeah. Full of crap crypto. Full crypto cycling. Something like that. [laughs] Back. All right, everybody.
• 44:27
Crapdo currency. That's about all we have time for. Actually, we have, whatever. Yeah, we'll do- We probably wasted way more time than we- Ah... probably should've, but there you go. Everybody have a good day. Thank you.
• 44:35
Yeah. Come back next time when we do number 142. Yeah. Bye. Yeah.
• 44:42
