  Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And sometimes I just want

  Speaker 1: God to restore the joy. Father God, in the mighty, matchless,

  Speaker 1: and powerful name of Jesus, we come before you today
• 0:13
  Speaker 1: with open hearts, asking you to do something deep on
• 0:16
  Speaker 1: the inside of us. Lord, restore our joy. Father, some
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: of us are smiling on the outside, but we're hurting
• 0:21
  Speaker 1: on the inside. Some of us are showing up for
• 0:24
  Speaker 1: everybody else, but secretly wondering, Lord, when is somebody going
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: to pour back joy? And to me, we've been through disappointments.
• 0:30
  Speaker 1: We've experienced heartbreak. We've endured loss. We've carried burdens that
• 0:34
  Speaker 1: nobody knows about. We've prayed prayers that seem unanswered. And
• 0:38
  Speaker 1: we walk through seasons that have left us emotionally exhausted.

  Speaker 1: And somewhere along the way, Lord, we lost our joy.

  Speaker 1: not because we don't love you, not because we don't
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: have faith, but because life has been heavy. Life has
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: been life. And Father, your word says in Psalms 51
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: and 12, restore unto me the joy of my salvation
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: and uphold me with thy free spirit. And today, Lord,

  Speaker 1: that is our prayer. Restore the joy that we had
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: before the disappointment stole our smile. Restore the joy we
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: had before betrayal made us afraid to trust. Restore the
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: joy we had before stress consumed our peace. Restore the
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: joy we had before grief made our hearts feel heavy.
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: Restore the joy we had before we became so busy
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: surviving that we forgot how to enjoy living. Lord, breathe
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: fresh life into our spirits. Remind us that our joy
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: does not have to depend on perfect circumstances. We can
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: have joy even while we're waiting. We can have joy
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: while we're healing. We can have joy while we're building.

  Speaker 1: We can have joy even when we don't have all
• 1:36
  Speaker 1: the answers. Father, help us to stop postponing our joy
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: until everything else gets better. Help us to find reasons
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: to smile again. Help us to laugh without feeling guilty.

  Speaker 1: Help us to enjoy the people who love us. Help
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: us appreciate the little things. Help us celebrate the blessings

  Speaker 1: we sometimes overlook and take for granted. Lord, Heal the

  Speaker 1: places in our hearts that have made it difficult to
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: experience happiness. Give us permission to rest. Give us permission

  Speaker 1: to receive love. Give us permission to enjoy the life

  Speaker 1: and the blessings you've given to us. Oh God, we

  Speaker 1: don't want to spend so much time fighting the enemy

  Speaker 1: that we forget to enjoy your goodness. Father, restore our laughter.

  Speaker 1: Restore our hope. Restore our excitement. Restore our passion. Lord,

  Speaker 1: restore our peace. Restore the dreams we buried because life
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: disappointed us. And Lord, if our joy has become connected

  Speaker 1: to people, possessions, positions or circumstances help us to reconnect

  Speaker 1: to our joy that is found in you because people
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: may change money may come and goal plans can shift
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: but you are our source of strength and you remain

  Speaker 1: steady your word says in nehemiah 8 and 10 the
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: joy of the lord is your strength so lord Strengthen
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: us with joy. When we feel weak, remind us of
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: your goodness. When we feel discouraged, remind us of your faithfulness.
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: When we feel forgotten, remind us that we are loved
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: by you. When we feel like giving up, remind us
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: that our story is not over. Father, let joy rise
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: in our homes, in our families, in our relationships, and
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: in our hearts. Let us wake with gratitude. Let us
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: walk with confidence. God, let us smile again. Let us
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: dream again. Let us live again. Not because life is
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: always easy, but because you are still good. Oh, your
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: presence is still with us. Lord, we surrender the heaviness
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: we've been carrying. We surrender the sadness. We surrender the disappointment.

  Speaker 1: And we ask you to fill those empty places with

  Speaker 1: your peace, with your love, and with your joy. Restore
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: to us, God, the joy of our salvation. Let us

  Speaker 1: not just survive another day, but help us to discover

  Speaker 1: the beauty of living in your presence. And when our

  Speaker 1: joy returns, God, let our testimony encourage somebody else who's
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: struggling to find theirs. God, we declare that sorrow will
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: not have a final word. Disappointment will not have our future.

  Speaker 1: And the difficult seasons we've walked through will not erase
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: the goodness you placed in our lives. The joy of
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: the Lord is our strength in the mighty, powerful name
• 3:54
