- Paulie :D: Everybody, how's everybody doing today? It is Paul with the Apex F1 podcast. Things are heating up, and it's not just because it's summer and it's blistering hot out there. I hope everybody's staying hydrated. But sports, the World Cup is coming to an end. Saturday, Sunday, Sunday. I can't wait. But that is not why you're here. We are here to talk about motor sports, which is freaking awesome. But I'm joined by my two good friends. The lady in the blue, how you doing? Meredith: I'm doing excellent. Happy to be home after working a conference for a few days. Super excited. It's spa week. I mean, it's like you get spa week and the last match for FIFA. You know, it like that's it's a big weekend, so I'm pumped. Paulie :D: And I think IndyCar is in Asheville and Nat NASCAR is in Wilkesboro. Meredith: Yeah. I d I didn't even look to see where NASCAR is this weekend. Paulie :D: But but hey, Josh, how you doing today? Josh: Doing good. I've been, you know, just immersed in the World Cup, watching every match. It's been good so far. I hate to see it come to an end. I've really enjoyed it. but we've got great racing on the on the horizon for this weekend. Spa's a great track. It's a classic. It's one that I hope will always remain on the calendar, even though there's a lot of speculation around that one. really excited for it. Just plenty of racing to catch up on. I just watched the last IMSA race this morning. and then I've I've still got to get through all the way through Sao Paulo for WEC. It's it's hard to watch these races and all and it's a totality. Yeah, that's what I do pretty much. Give me a couple of hours and then I gotta go watch something else. So I'm catching up. I promise I'm catching up. But it's been a good week. I'm excited for this weekend. Meredith: Yeah, you know me, I do my stints. Paulie :D: Absolutely. But say, hey, since I'm hosting today, let's just veer off for a couple seconds, Josh. I can't speak for you. I've been I've been watching soccer since I was a child. This has to be by far the most exciting World Cup that I've watched in a long time. Josh: Yeah, I don't know if it's the the expanded field, if it's just the more you know, more games, more opportunities to see top players. I don't know if that's part of it. I don't know if it's just the way that they structured the groups this year where, you know, your top teams were automatically in separate you know, paths to to the final. So I think that kind of gave us better games towards the end of the tournament. So I don't know what it is, but there is seemingly a different feel around this World Cup and it's been very exciting. Paulie :D: 100%. I think the expanded field was did a really good job. It really brought some underdogs, teams that you would have never heard of before. And they didn't just show up, but they showed out and they played amazing. So you have to give them credit. It goes to show the lengths that soccer is growing around the world. And I think for me personally, I mean, especially with that being in Europe, you don't have to wake up super early for some of these matches. They're at prime time. And that really helps. I mean, that's just, you know, the bias in me. I don't I don't have to wake up at four in the morning and catch a a random Kate Burday game. Meredith: Look, I've never watched a World Cup. I've watched more soccer in the last two weeks than I probably have in my entire life. Like, and I don't know anything about soccer. I don't know anything about the the history, the beef, the teams. Honestly, Erling Holland is what sucked me in. And then I was like, I'm gonna watch one game. And I was like, this is fantastic. It's exhausting to watch. I'm not a runner, but I think I'd probably watch. Josh: Yeah, I think Meredith: five or six games now and I like it's been fun. Like I was honestly bummed to miss the England Argentina game 'cause I was like, man, is England gonna do it? So I even as a non soccer fan, it has been really fun to watch. Paulie :D: And I think, you know, sure we can get into the political atmosphere of everything, especially here in the US. But overall, three countries hosting it, you've just seen so many beautiful videos all over your social media of foreign fans around the world just really embracing American culture, everyone coming together and just having a great time. So overall, like it's been I hate to see it end on Sunday and because it's gonna be tough. It's like what do I do with my hands now? type of thing. It's like now that now now that it's over, what do I do with my hands? But I'm super, super, super excited. And I don't know who Josh, tell me your predictions right now. Who's winning on Sunday? Josh: Unfortunately, I think our okay. Meredith: Y'all say it on three. Okay, say it on three. One, two, three. Paulie :D: Right. Josh: Spain. All right. Paulie :D: I mean, I I I listen, I don't I don't hate Argentina. I want them, I I want them to be successful. I I I am a big Messi fan. Enzo Fernandez is great, that whole team is doing amazing things. But I just want to see Spain win it all again. Josh: I do. I think Spain had the toughest path of the two teams coming in. I mean England's no slouch to beat, but England didn't look as strong as they were projected to be. Argentina has kind of skated by on the skin of their teeth for for several matches now. The England game was probably the only one out of the last three or four that I think was was pretty decisive and that they actually deserved to win. so I don't know. I don't I I I was always a Ronaldo fan. I always was a real guy. I didn't really care much for Barca. I didn't care for Messi. Like it just that was I was on the other side. So I don't have an allegiance to Argentina like a lot of people do. Paulie :D: Sure. Listen, as long as it's a good game, as long as it doesn't, you know, come to a a foul that should have been a card and should not have been a card, I think I think we can all, you know, be happy with whoever wins. 'Cause you know, who doesn't want to see Messi get another World Cup? I mean, I guess if you're a hater you don't want to see that, but you know, it Meredith: I'm like Josh, he hates Argentina. He just said it. Hey, for it for what it's worth, I also want to see Spain win. Purely based off the fact that I loved Spain. Sorry, Joe just got home, so dogs are parking. I I went to Spain and I loved it. And so I'm just going Team Spain for that reason alone. No beef against Messi or Argentina. Love them too. Paulie :D: That's true. But Well now we need to travel to our now now we need to go to Argentina and see what we think of that. Meredith: I'm I'm all I'm all for it. World tour. Josh: man. Paulie :D: Done. Perfect. But hey guys, that is not why you're here. That is not why you signed up. Let's talk motorsports, guys. Let's start with F1. Listen, other than Silverstone and maybe Mexico and Brazil, this might be one of my favorite tracks on the calendar. I know we haven't always gotten the best racing, but this track is just so awesome. That a rouge corner. That that just beautiful view that you get. It's it's one that I'm super excited for. And with this regulations, we've seen some good racing, and I'm super stoked for this weekend. There's some great storylines going into this weekend. Meredith, I'll start with you. Tell me what you're excited for when it comes to spa in the beautiful country of Belgium, correct? I have that right. Meredith: Belgium. Yeah. Josh: Belgium, yeah. Meredith: basically every single thing. I I love spa. Spa's yes. The answer is yes. that is, you know, like all the TikToks that are like, the spa day they thought I booked versus the spay I actually booked. Have y'all seen those? That is me. I would way rather go spend a day at the spa racetrack than an actual spa. it is always one of my favorite races of the season. I think it is one of the most iconic tracks. It is absolutely beautiful. It is Paulie :D: Basically D all the above. Meredith: I don't know. I'm I'm I'm a little nervous seeing that there's rain in the forecast this weekend. You know, that that makes me very nervous. I mean, I saw all the tributes and stuff that they did today for Antoine Hubert. And so, you know, I think it is such a historical track. I think the scenery is beautiful. And I know in one of our other episodes, we even talked about when it was like when they had the endurance race there. Would I rather go to an F1 race there or an endurance race there? I think I would want to go to an endurance race there, but it is. Paulie :D: Really? Meredith: Absolutely iconic. I'm super excited for it. yeah, I think it'll be I think it'll be a good one. I I always love the timing of it too. I love where it falls in the calendar. I love that time of year. The weather there is perfect for good racing. I'm really interested to see if this year's race, given the new cars being a little bit zippier, a little bit racier, if it's going to lean us to more in more exciting racing there than maybe we've had in some of the years past. But I I love spa. Love it. Paulie :D: Josh Josh: Well, I don't know what else there is to say. mayors spot on. Belgium is is a Paulie :D: Meredith said it all podcast Meredith: I'm Spa Spa Ton See what I did there? Paulie :D: podcast over. Josh: Belgium is just an awesome country this time of year. It's so beautiful. It's tucked away in the mountains. You know, the this is just one of the best racetracks in Europe. It's picturesque. Well, I mean, like Meredith was saying, I think we talked about it before, like the in endurance racing, you know, with the shift from day to night, like that period of of when the sun's going down and Rouge has just got banked in that nice sunlight. It's just it's so cool to see that racetrack lit up in different ways. And I think Formula One's This is got I don't know not I don't know why this is not a cornerstone r like track for Formula One. It's every time we talk about adding a track or some and which of course inherently brings us to which track are we getting rid of, it seems like Spa is always on the chopping block, just like well, like we saw Imola. It's one of those I don't understand why we would eliminate a European race. those especially on a such an iconic track. So I I hope that they can maintain Spa on the calendar. I think it does it's deserved to be there. It's one of the few I would rather I would rather lose a street circuit than a a main, you know, mainstay of what makes you the European legs so great. I think for me, this is the first track that I think the cars are really gonna stretch their legs with this new cycle, this new regulation cycle. The long straights, right? This is the first of like this is a one of the few tracks I can think of that have two long consecutive straights. Now, being said, unlike Vegas or Monza, there are opportunities to re build battery charge back with some of the slower corners. So I do think that of like the longer straight tracks, like, you know, Vegas, Monza, Spa, Baku, I think this one may have the best opportunities for like good battling and recharging and like actually getting to see what these regulations can really be with, you know, appropriate battery battery management. So I'm really interested to see this one as opposed to, you know, Silverstone or, you know, a couple of the other races we've seen this year that maybe weren't as exciting. I I I have high hopes for for Spa, which is fun. I because we haven't had a great race in Spa in a feels like a while. You know, the the last excitement that came out of there is I feel like the the double DNFs and was that two year last year or two years ago? Was that last year? Meredith: Yeah. I think it was last year. Josh: Might have been two years ago. The double the double DNFs we had plankware issues, there was weight issues. who was it got D was it? Oat the Ferr. Meredith: I'm like every time I hear double DNF plank issue, I go McLaren, Vegas. Worst thing of my life to wake up to after such a great trip. Josh: Yeah. And then you also could think Chi Paulie :D: She still talks to her Josh: like Lewis and Paulie :D: therapist about that. Meredith: Really should. I have a I have a question, a dumb question, after you you finish looking that up, Josh. And I need you guys to not judge me for this, okay? Paulie :D: We're we're we're already judging way before the question gets even asked. Meredith: I I'm not a technical girl. I'm not an engine girl. Given, you know, given the the hybrid battery split, and like I'm thinking about an uphill climb with Eau Rouge, which the steepness of that climb is more steep than the climb in Austria, where you have that climb, you immediately come around the corner, you have a downhill, you know, recharge there. How like how the the cars with this regulation manage? The the kind of not the elevation change, but the uphill to something that's more relatively flat, not an uphill to a downhill, given that it's more of a hybrid. Like I'm imagining a hybrid going uphill that's gonna drain battery power faster, rely more heavily on the engine. So to me, there's more strategy required as a driver to maintain that energy, knowing that you're not coming up the uphill and going into a massive downhill. Like, is is my brain dumb in thinking that and thinking about the track layout? Paulie :D: I'm gonna say no, but I'm dumb too, so I'm gonna refer that question to the nerd of the podcast, Josh. We're just two dum dums with a microphone. Meredith: We're just two dum dums in blue. Josh: Well so I know that they the the teams change the battery and the like the the the split between the battery power and the power unit itself. They adjust those circuit by circuit. So I'm sure that they're taking that into consideration and they they can adjust where they want to have the battery deployment versus where they don't. So all that's computerized. So I'm sure that they have taken into consideration Meredith: Interesting. Got it. Okay. Yeah, I d I didn't realize they changed that weekend by weekend. That meaning that makes more sense. Yeah. Josh: Yeah, it's not like a it's different it's different team by team. So like you may see teams that want to deploy more battery in one place versus what they don't in the other. And you'll see drivers do this on track in the middle of a session. Like they can make that adjustment on the wheel, right? That's part of the computerization of the steering wheel. So they can change how much energy they want to deploy at a time. So that kind of plays into the strategy bit of this. going back to that DNF thing. So it was George Russell got disqualified in twenty four. I don't know why I thought it was a double, but it was that's that's what I was thinking of. Paulie :D: And and to answer and merit it. Meredith: I should have remembered that one because we were at that n no, no, we weren't at that race. Well we were at another one in twenty four where George won and was disqualified. Or not one, but George was disqualified. Paulie :D: And to answer your question, Meredith, hopefully Bernie Collins listens to her podcast and she can come on and explain that to us better. If you're listening, please hop on. So let me ask this, and I'll start with Josh. There's a litany of headlines that we can follow going into this race. What are you looking forward to the most? Is it the Mercedes battle? Is it Ferrari? Is it McLaren? Is it the midfields? What are you look, what are you going to be focused on the most going into Sunday? Meredith: Yeah, Barney, if you're listening girl, come on. Come on. Josh: Think the storylines for me are less about teams and more about drivers, especially as we get into silly season, right? Like there's all these different talking points about who's gonna be in, who's gonna be out, what teams are gonna be up for grabs, you know. So I mean, that's most of what the headlines have been pushed out already has been driver talking, right? Is Aachen gonna have a seat? Is Max gonna stay in the sport? Is he gonna leave the sport? is is George finding his footing again? Is he gonna be able to, you know, close this it's now a twenty five point deficit to his teammate? So there's definitely an opportunity for George to, you know, open this door and get back in this championship fight coming into the summer break. So it to me it's a little bit less about teams right now and more about, you know, who's going to be able to perform driver wise, because I think we're getting to the point where for some guys it's the rubber meets the road, it's do or die. For others, this may be the chance to build that resume just a little bit more to try to get to a new team, you know, or it's an opportunity to see if these teams can give you what you want in the car and make the adjustments so you stick around. So I think for me that's that's most of what I'm looking at this weekend. of course, team wise, I'd love to see Ferrari continue to build on what they've got. I'd love to see McLaren get into the mix. Mercedes seems to be dominant. so that th I mean the midfields to midfield. I think there's a pretty huge gap right now between top four and the rest. And we can go from there. But I say that that that gap is massive right now. Paulie :D: So one one more question for you. since you're you're a br you're our nerd guy in our br in our brains of the operation, this track is suitable for what team? What team do you think would be more successful on this track as opposed to on somewhere else? Josh: Well, I can tell you it's not gonna favor Cadillac because they can't keep their brakes from catching on fire. It's a lot there's several heavy braking zones into you know, at the end of the long straight after O Rouge, at the into the the chicane, there's a heavy breaking zone there, there's a heavy braking zone right at the end end of the track right before the I the chicane before you get into the pit straight. that's a huge breaking zone down there. So this track's gonna favor those who have a lot of control under braking. And it's also gonna be those who have good in the in the medium speed to low speed cornering, those teams are gonna be more successful. So I would think Ferrari's gonna be up there, McLaren's gonna have a chance more so than they had. Mercedes, I th still I think is gonna be dominant. I they just have so much extra speed in the straights that it doesn't matter what it looks like in their cornering, they just have that little extra push. now, if the Red Bulls can keep their car together and not have a mechanical failure. They also could be in the mix. So I that's your top four right there to me. each one of 'em's gonna have a chance. and you gotta remember, since we've had a week break and we're in Europe, you can expect quite a few track specific adjustments and new bits to go on these cars. so that can completely change the complexion of this race. W and we don't even know it yet. Paulie :D: Yeah, I saw that Lando's getting a new engine, so he takes a ten ten place grid penalty. I think Ferrari. Meredith: Can place grid penalty. Josh: Which most people are doing at Spa is a popular place to do that, so don't be surprised. It's it's several people have done this over the years. Paulie :D: Yeah. I know Ferrar Ferrari's bringing in a new rear wing that supposedly it's supposed to give him three extra kilometers an hour. That's you know what it came up in the in the in in the data, but you know, it's all computerized, so who knows what's really gonna happen when you put it actually on track. So that's gonna be interesting. Meredith, what about you? What is the headline or what is the one thing you were looking forward to the most when it comes to Sunday and Spa? Meredith: Well of hearing that Josh: Mm-hmm. Meredith: Right. I think I'm with Josh. Like I I definitely have been thinking that this year is more the year of storylines for drivers, not teams. some of the stuff today in interviews that came out from drivers, mean Max, no shock, was very tight-lipped. You know, when they asked him about his plans for 2027, he was very, very tight-lipped. typical. That's normal of him, even on a good year, you know. But I I think what was more interesting to me was to hear that Oscar was Like seeming to attempt to squelch the rumors of like, where where else would I be? Like, yes, I will absolutely be with McLaren next year. Where else would I be? And making comments along the lines of that. So I was a little surprised about that. you know, but I I am interested about the dynamic of, you know, Lando taking an engine upgrade, being willing to take the penalty. Well, what's happening with Oscar? You know, if they're like what are it I I I hope McLaren does great this weekend. I If Josh, you know, if Josh is spot on, it would be nice to see them up there. Lando's gonna have a hell of a fight with a 10-place grid penalty. I know that we feel like Mercedes has a ton of speed in those straights. the thing I worry about with them is like this is one of those tracks that for them, it could be putting together the best race of their season. And they could one-two this thing so easy if they can master some of those turns and everything, but they've got the speed in those straights. Because It's the longest track of the season, but it's also not like a like it's the fitness band that to me is kind of almost like the straightest on some of those sides. So I don't know. I think Mercedes could, if they if they don't have any failures like what has happened with George earlier in the season and Kimmy a couple of times now, I think Mercedes could do great. I think Max will do excellent here. That I think Max is coming in strong this weekend. I think we're gonna see another really consistent delivery from Isaac Hajjar as well. I think the V-carbs are going to do good again. the question is, like, can they get that wing issue figured out and whatever else is the issue with Max's car with reliability and maintenance issues? Because he has been driving great. And I would love to see him do well this weekend. I would love to see him just come in. They got it figured out. They had a couple of weeks off. Let's get it figured out and dialed in for his safety and for him to be up there, up there and be competitive. And I think that's probably gonna play into a lot of his decision making for how the rest of the season goes. Paulie :D: Absolutely. I I'm I'm I'm still gonna be interested in the midfield teams. What can a Williams do? Because I know, you know, Carlos is not happy over there. They've made that very clear. He's not happy. What can No. But Meredith: But they're also they're also not bringing any upgrades right now. Paulie :D: One can hope, right? You know, can can Alpine continue their traject their upward trajectory that they've had of recent. I know last race they didn't really have a great showing, but can they continue to build on that? And yeah. Also, you know, can George and Kimmy get along without taking each other out to maximize those points for the team? That's gonna be the big thing. You know, you think they can get along? Meredith: Yeah. I think they can. I think they could battle and I think they could battle spicy, but I don't think they're gonna papaya rules it. Like I don't think they're gonna battle it out and take each other out. I I think they're both two good class acts. And I and I think if they get to a situation where they're battling head to head, I don't see it being a situation yet. I could see there being a time later in the season maybe where they're like not willing to pull back, you know, but I think right now they'll they would they would play fair. But Not dangerous. Paulie :D: Yeah, I definitely think as as the year comes to an end and those two points, you know, those guys still at the top, I think it's gonna start getting spicier with them and there's gonna be a lot more elbows out. You know, Karen George have already I can already hear hear him on the radio crying about something Kimmy did. Meredith: Always. It's he's gonna cry about anything ever. okay, interesting thing that I saw this week, about talks about Oli Behrman. That Ollie Behrman camp is looking. we've all assumed that Oli Behrman camp would stay put because we saw him being the next Driver at Ferrari when Lewis Hamilton is ready to retire. But if Lewis continues strong performance like this and he is doing great this season, I mean like who knows how long Lewis could stay, you know? Josh: Mm. Meredith: so I have I I saw a ton of different whisperings about Ollie being Ollie's camp being meeting willing to meet with other teams and be open to discussions. and that like there were several teams specifically named that his management has talked to. Have y'all seen any of that stuff or am I the only one on that Ollie Bearman feed? Paulie :D: No, I haven't seen it. But I've been so busy with work so I haven't really had much of a chance. Josh: I've I've seen the same rumblings, right? And and I feel like any good manager of what could be, you know, a great top driver here in the next couple of years, they're not doing their job if they're not looking and putting feelers out. Right. You're you've got a you've got a driver who's got a ton of potential and has shown a ton of potential and is ki and is constantly touted as like Ferrari's next guy, right? Why would you not be looking if any of these top teams are, you know, you hear if you if I'm his his agent and I hear, you know, Oscar Piastri's unhappy at McLaren, well I'm gonna call Oscar Piastri's agent and be hey man, is there any you know, what what are y'all thinking here? And then I'm calling McLaren and seeing if what they think. So I I think that's just them do their job. I don't know if Holly's really interested in leaving, right? He's driving under a I would Meredith: Yeah. Right. I w if I knew that my potential lineup in the next three years is a Ferrari seat, I'm and and I'm still getting points in a car that arguably should be getting points, I'm staying put. Josh: I'm not moving. I'm getting points. I'm driving, I'm driving Ferrari. I'm driving Ferrari Power Unit. I'm using their same operating system, their steering wheel, I'm using all their proprietary, you know, the bits that are a customer team gets, right? That puts him and not to mention the fact that Haas uses Ferrari's simulator. So all these different things add up to if you're if you're slated for a Ferrari seat, why would you not be sitting behind? You know, all the technology you can be in that says Ferrari on it that's just labeled as Haas, right? I'm not gonna move. I'm gonna sit where I'm at. I'm gonna bide my time, bite my tongue, do what I need to do, and make sure that I'm the one that's getting that seat when Lewis does leave. But it you it could be two or three years. But I mean, Haas has looked better in the last several years than they had in years past. So they they put you know what they they almost podiumed last year. It's like, yeah, it's right there. Meredith: They they have. Paulie :D: Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with him flirting with other teams and seeing what's out there and putting some feelers. Unless there's a a piece of paper sign says you have the next Ferrari siege. Fuck, go look around. Go explore your options to see what's out there. See who you can Meredith: How agreed? Yeah. Yeah, also I feel like that's really great timing to start doing it now. And you know, when you get back into the renegotiation of contract season and stuff like that, it's like, Hey, remember remember all these teams that want me? Yeah. Paulie :D: you know, if he keeps doing well, his value is only gonna increase and if Ferrari does eventually get him Meredith: for sure. But I'm just saying, if you're driving great, delivering results, and you've got competitive offers, you've got more room for negotiation on your salary of like, hey, you want to keep me on your bench? You you want me to keep warming your bench for you then then pay up. Paulie :D: Open up that wallet, big guy. But Josh makes a great point. I mean, all points, all points, all fingers point to him going to Ferrari. You know, five per Ferrari power engine, or you know, power unit, take a drink. And you know, simulator and all that. So, you know, it would be look at that, we all did it. Meredith: Not sponsored, but Red Bull and Long Drink. If you wanna sponsor us, let us know. Paulie :D: Perfect, absolutely. We're not gonna say no to sponsors. So guys, any other headline? Meredith: Which one of the drivers is Finnish? Paulie :D: Baltery. Josh: Let's Meredith: Valtery. Valtery. Sponsor us with with your gin. Paulie :D: I just saw that he was in Colorado last week. Him and his girlfriend were in Aspen. Meredith: Yeah, they spend a ton of time in Colorado. 'Cause they're they're both massive into biking. Josh: Yep, do a ton of cycling. Paulie :D: Yeah, I didn't I need I need to go buy a Huffy and see if I can follow them or something. Meredith: They're doing very different biking than what you would be doing on a Huffy Paul. I mean I mean that with the most respect possible. These are different types of biking. Josh: Good luck. Paulie :D: Are you saying I'm not ca are you saying I'm not capable of it? Are you saying I'm not capable to follow Baltry in his in his Damn, you're not wrong. Meredith: One thousand percent. I I'm I would not even attempt it. I don't even think I'd be able to hike up from the parking lot to the base of the mountain to get on the bikes to go on the trails they're going on. Paulie :D: I'll just I'll just meet him at the finish line with like orange wedges and caprice suns. Meredith: At the finish line. Josh: Ha finish. Meredith: I'm Paulie :D: she's Meredith: killing it on my jokes today, you guys. Paulie :D: here she's here all night, folks. Don't forget to tape your waitress. Meredith: What are you excited about, Paul? I mean, Josh and I both talked about what we're we're excited about for this weekend. What are you looking forward to? What are your headlines that you're kind of like keeping your eye on? Paulie :D: I already talked about it. I'm I'm really focused on the midfield teams. I want know which one of the midfield teams can do well. Cause you always know, you know, Ferrari's gonna have a rocket or Mercedes is gonna have a rocket ship. You know, Karen George is gonna be on the radio complaining after lap one. I I you know, how good is that mo is that rear wing gonna be for Ferrari? Are they gonna, you know, have that extra little three mile an hour or three kilometers in the mount? Meredith: Okay, so so your bank in Midfield. Right. Paulie :D: Three kilometers, whatever it is, of of extra power, but you know. Meredith: Okay, so I'm just I'm who when you say midfield, like who are you thinking of? Cause I feel like what my brain would have identified as midfield last year is very different than what I identify as midfield this year. So like who are the teams and drivers that you are watching? Cause like my ass never would have thought I'd be talking about Alpine and and Gasly and Colapento, not as midfield. Paulie :D: So for me, the three would be would have to be like Alpine, the Racing Bulls, and Haas. Those are the three that are just very well, Alpine and Racing Bulls are not so much Haas, but all three of them have been doing really well. Both Racing Bulls drivers are doing well, even though I'm not a huge Liam Lawson fan. so really excited to see what that is. And also, like, come on, I want to see both Aston and Candelite Cars finish the race. Meredith: Well Aston's bringing Aston's bringing upgrades to Budapest. So they're they'll or they'll be having upgrades in Hungary and they're supposed to be it's like it's like it's it's like supposed to be a whole new car. Yeah. Josh: not just not just upgrades and an a whole new car. Yeah. Paulie :D: It's a whole new car. Yeah, I saw that today. Josh: It's it's a lot of upgrades. Meredith: Yeah, a lot of upgrades. So I'm I'm super excited for Hungry for Aston Martin. And then when is Williams bringing theirs? Why am I drawing a blank? Paulie :D: Last year twenty twenty seven. Josh: Twenty twenty seven. Meredith: 2027. No, they are they're doing similar to like Aston words bringing like like this is the big upgrade package or like a whole new car. I think Williams said that they are doing a big upgrade package at one of the races. I'll go back and look at which one it is, but it's a it was like at an upcoming one. Like I don't know why I feel like it was like the Netherlands or something stupid, but I was like, that's okay. Josh: That would make s that would make sense. That's the first race back. Meredith: Yeah. Like good good summer timing, good development time. Paulie :D: So I said it I sent you guys a screenshot of a couple tweets that I just saw that made me laugh. One of them was from Fernando Alonso. What is his objective for this weekend? He just goes, the target for Sunday is to get home and watch the World Cup game. And then the other one, Ne Nico goes, Nico Hogenberg was asked about possible Carlos joining them in the audience next year. And he goes, I think the reserve driver's seat is available, but I doubt he's gonna be interested in that. Meredith: Go home and watch the World Cup final. Josh: Azerbaijan. Meredith: Ooh, burn. but I mean, yeah, there's I mean, why would like why would a seat be opening? Gabby Bordoletto is delivering. Like, Gabby's a great driver. He's delivering in that Audi. I I mean Paulie :D: But unfortunately, you know how this sport works and it's across every inch of this sport. Carlos brings way more money than a Gabby does. So a team like Audi, you know they're gonna be chasing that type of money. Meredith: Yeah, but you're you also have to be thinking long term. Audi's a new team, like Audi's new, you know, they they they knew up there. So why wouldn't they keep Nico for a year or two? Gabby's growing, he's driving, he scored points. Nico ain't scored no points this year. Gabby's finished way more races. He's got six points. Nico has nothing. Keep Nico for a brand perspective because of his, you know, where he's from and the company and stuff. Keep that for a year or two. Paulie :D: But in but in this But Meredith: You've got Gabby building, growing, getting stronger. And then you bring in a second driver from another team that has a proven track record. To me, that's the dynamic duo. I love Gabby staying at Audi. I'm here for that. Paulie :D: Sure, sure. But you but in a world where across every aspect of this society we want instant gratification, we wanna see the results now, as opposed to three years from now, nobody's thinking that far ahead. They're think they think Carlos Science is gonna bring that winning atmosphere now, as opposed to building Gabby to something in the future. Meredith: But you would see them cutting Gabby before Nico, because I'd see them being like, Nico, thank you so much. Bye bye. Gabby is the future of this. Carlos can deliver now. I I'd cut Nico in a second over Gabby. Josh: Mm-hmm. Paulie :D: no. Listen, we all know that this podcast is very pro Nico Holkenberg. We are a big fancy that man. But yes, if I had to pick one to to cut off, sorry Nico. I I'm big you're a big guy, you you did great, but we gotta we we we gotta let you go. Meredith: we are. We are, but if I'm picking Yeah. I don't know. I think I think Gabby's set in that seat. I think he is locked in. Paulie :D: Absolutely. Well, any other headlines in the world of Formula One before we get into our predictions with holy crap, I have not even thought about to this second. So this is gonna be fun. Meredith: the I guess the only other thing I want to talk about is, you know, I mentioned it earlier. I know the rain is forecasted. We really haven't had a ton of rain this season impacting races where these drivers are comfortable. You know, we know that the braking has been an issue, right? Like I this is a track where driver safety, it's a there more drivers have died at this track than anywhere else, right? It's like this one in Imala are the top two. And you give rainy conditions, struggling visibility here, like what You know, what do we think about the safety and the potential, given the new regulations? Do we see that impacting it with rain being on the forecast at all? What are y'all's thoughts? Paulie :D: I mean I definitely would love to see some rain. Sorry Josh, I didn't mean to cut you off. I definitely would love to see some rain kind of spice things up a little bit, but you are right. With how dangerous this track can be, and especially that orange corner with how fast you're going, I can definitely see what is this cat doing? Stop it. I can definitely see Formula One being a little more hesitant when it comes to things and red flag, you know, race a little quicker than they otherwise would have in previous years. Josh: No, we go ahead. Meredith: Man, but I I'm okay with that. Like if we're gonna red flag a race, like but but then we're gonna get to finish, I wait I would way rather do that than what we had finishing out of the safety car. Paulie :D: Sure. As long as it doesn't end on a screen, as long as it doesn't end Yeah, as long as it doesn't end on a safety car, fuck it. Red flag it for as long as you want. You know, I don't care, but as long as That is true. You you you do it's not like NASCAR when you finish the race. Yeah, like NASCAR finished the race at two in the morning. Josh: that's the trick. You can't you can't do it as long as you want. There's a set amount of time. It's if you don't finish the race and what Tomorrow. Yeah. Yeah. they they have ninety minutes, I think, and it's if it's not over ninety minutes, it's it's it. It just ends. So you can't really red flight it for a long time. So my issue here is not necessarily weather related. This this track is going to be dangerous regardless of the weather. Sure, we can always say that weather can play a factor in wet conditions. We've seen it. My issue is closing speed. We have already seen incidents with with closing speed. We saw it in Suzuka that it almost injured Ollie Behrman, right? Meredith: That was insane. Polly. Josh: this track lends itself to these long straights, but with the energy deployment issues, if a driver runs out of energy prematurely before the end of these straights, that is a very quick car coming behind that may not realize that you are going as slow as you are. You know, we saw this with think Carlos Sainz in a pit straight. I don't remember where he was, but it we s we've seen it a multiple times this season where a car has died, either died on track or become been in a precarious situation because their energy deployment ran out and another driver had to take some evasive action. So that would be my concern more than anything. I'll remind you of the incident between, I don't remember who was the second driver, but it was Schumacher at Spa on the back straight coming into the final chicane. He was winning the race, a back marker, it was in the rain, so I had that the the visibility. But the the back marker moved out of the way. Schumacher didn't see him Schumacher ran into the back of him. Ended both their races. This that's that was the beginning of the famous mic Mic Michael Schumacher running through the pit lane, taking his headphones out and going to like fight a guy. Right. That was where this came from. because it it either ended or severely damaged his championship potential for the year. but that's my point where you have these closing speeds already can be potentially dangerous. If you do add the weather into that with the visibility issues, you've just created a recipe for disaster. So well these c now these cars are supposed to be better about the the spray because and all right, supposed to be because we really haven't seen truly if they are or not. it's supposed to be better with the spray. Hopefully that coupled with the wet tires, they are the visibility may be better, but it's I think it's gonna be a wait and see kind of situation. I don't I don't know if it's truly better or if it's just, you know. Meredith: That's why I was worried when I saw it. I was like Josh: I know it doesn't have that ground effect to throw the water twenty feet up in the air with the big rooster tails like we've seen in the past, but that doesn't mean that visibility is gonna be any much better. So I don't know. I it's gonna be dangerous either way, but I I I'd hesitate to think that red the Formula One would would want to red flag or or stop a race. Meredith: Yeah. Yeah. And I think it looked more like it looked more heavy on Saturday than it did on Sunday. So hopefully that helps. Like it looked like rain on Saturday and then just like cloudy and some stor like some partial storms on Sunday. And who knows that could all change. I will say though, y'all seeing those rooster tales last year in Miami. That was insane. That was insane. And because that was the we did the campus pass where we did three different grandstands on those days. Paulie :D: Same stuff. Meredith: And on the Saturday, we were right at turn one. And so right when they came into turn one, then they would go around and you could see you could see when you couldn't see the cars, you could still see them around the you would just see those massive rooster tails. So, Josh, when you say like 20 feet in the air, that's an underestimate. That shit was insane. We could t we could tell exactly where they were without even watching the TV because of the car spray. It was wild. So I think it'll be interesting to see this week and we'll just keep an eye on the forecast. Paulie :D: Absolutely. Hopefully it adds some spice. I always like a good spicy race. Alright, guys. Let's get to my most dreaded portion of every podcast that we do, and that is the predictions. And I dread it because I do so awful at this. I am currently at zero points. Listen, I'm glad somebody's being hopeful. So we'll just have to see what happens. Meredith: I do too. Especially at this point in the season. You're not the negative anymore. It's progress, not perfection. Paulie :D: Maybe I can have this guy give me some pointers on Meredith: Wrigley, help your dad. Paulie :D: He's like, I just wanna find something that needs Meredith: Okay, well okay, let's let's do it in reverse order this time. Cause usually we start with Josh because he's way ahead, but maybe we try the reverse order and see if that helps your mojo. Paulie :D: I was hoping I was hoping not to start with me because I have not thought about that until right now. Meredith: That's okay. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe just go off r you know, reaction right now. Let your F1 flag fly and just make your predictions. Don't be influenced by Josh's. Paulie :D: Really, what's the idea? Wrigley, what should I do? He doesn't care. He just wants me to give him more ice. Okay, so let's start with predictions. I think I'm wearing the sweater. I love the blue. Blue looks good on me. I just gotta say it. With my skin complexion, damn, I look good in this color. I think I'm gonna go Kimmy number one. I am going to go Lewis number two and George number three. For my shocker. Holy crap. Meredith: Yeah, looks nice. And your shocker. Gravy, what you eating, buddy? What'd you just find a snack on, bud? Paulie :D: Peace. Meredith: That awkward moment when you turn around and there's something in your dog's mouth that they're eating. It's like w we're in my office. What could you possibly be eating? Okay, chakra prediction. Paulie :D: And they're just staring at you. they always find something. Okay, shocker prediction. We're gonna have two DNFs or D did not start or did not finish. And I think one Alping, one racing bull, and one house in the points. Meredith: Okay. That is quite the combo there. I love it. It's like you're just walking into a fucking Chipotle and just building your own adventure there on your shocker. Paulie :D: Listen. Isn't that what everybody does at Chipotle? Just build their own adventure? Meredith: I'm just saying like it's like you were like, yeah, and I'll have one of that and one of that, and I'll have one of that and two of those, yeah, and one of that. Paulie :D: Did you have call me fat? 'Cause that's exactly how I order at restaurants. Meredith: Your chakra prediction is a fat one there. There's a lot of a lot of conditions, but I like it. I like that you went for it. Paulie :D: We don't fashion on this podcast, okay, young lady. Meredith: We don't. Okay, my podium, very similar. I did Kimmy Charles George. and I'm going that both Ferrari Paulie :D: Okay. Meredith: I think this kit just fell down the stairs, y'all. Paulie :D: Ha ha ha. Josh: Oops. Meredith: 'Cause I heard the little tsck and then I heard a tumble. Okay. my my shocker is I'm going, both Ferraris both Ferraris are finishing five or above. Paulie :D: Okay, way to go on the safe side, punk. Meredith: I'm sorry, at least I like plan ahead and write mine down, sir. Paulie :D: Alright, shut up. I'm hosting this, not you. Josh you go. Josh: I am going to do a different podium than y'all. I've got George winning. Meredith: Yay. I nearly went Paulie :D: He's gonna go an all Meredith: completely different too, so I'm excited because I have a second podium in my head and I'm interested to see. Hold on, let me write it down so that we can see if we were in the same. Josh: Alright, so Paulie :D: He's Josh: I've Paulie :D: gonna go an all for high podium. Josh: got Yeah, all three of I've got Charles. No, I don't, I'm kidding. I wish I wish I wish I could say that one day. Alright, for real. I got George winning the race. Kimmy Antonelli in second. Lewis Hamilton in third. Paulie :D: Yeah. Meredith: Okay. Okay. my god, okay, so my other podium was George Max and Lewis. Josh: Okay. Meredith: I couldn't decide. Josh: I mean, I don't mind the Red Bull being up there. I just don't think it's gonna be a podium. I'd I'd I'd even say if we could extend it, I'd say max fourth. I that I would be s I'd be feel pretty comfortable there. I'd be pretty comfortable with that. my shocker prediction, I will have all of the Mercedes power unit teams will score points. Meredith: Yeah, I I I've got max in my four. Yeah. All Mercedes power unit teams will finish. Paulie :D: So what does that involve? That involves the Mercedes, the McLaren's, Mercedes, McLaren, Alpine, and who else? Williams? Damn, dog, that's bowl, that's ballsy on your part. Josh: Mm-hmm. No, score score a point. Meredith: Core. Josh: Alpine. Williams. I knew it's 'cause like that's it gives me a little bit of safety, but then there's a couple that are like, Ooh, maybe, I don't know. Meredith: I ca I love that. Paulie :D: I kinda like that too. Meredith: I love that. That's a fun one. Paulie :D: Alright, so that that wraps up our Formula One portion of today. What do you guys want to talk about next? Indy, NASCAR, or our ever-beloved WEC or IMSA, whatever you guys call it? Meredith: Yeah, that's fine. I would like to talk for two minutes on the NASCAR Atlanta finish. No more. Paulie :D: Okay, you know what? Hey, let's talk let's let's talk NASCAR. They were at the super speedway in Atlanta, and they had to red flag it for like three hours because of rain. And we had let's just let's just get to the end. It was a crazy finish. Correct me if I'm wrong, but bl Ryan Blaney ended up winning that race, right? Yeah, so he won it all the way to the Meredith: Yo Insane. Right. Three wide. And he was on pole, which I I was already excited for him to be on pole. And then he ends up winning it after Carson Hosevar is leading into the last lap. And then it it was like watching like that indie 500 last quarter two years ago where Pado loses it, you know, just absolutely devastating. I like I love Carson Hosevar, so I was super excited for him to win it, but I love Ryan Blaney. Paulie :D: I still have p I still have a TSD from that. Meredith: So I was like, if he's gonna lose it on the last lap, I want him to lose it to Ryan Blaney. I thought it was exciting racing. I thought it was fun. I had to just watch the replay the next morning because there ain't no way I'm staying at past like ten o'clock. Paulie :D: The most shocking was that Bubba Wallace ended up finishing fourth. He was fourth, but he got a penalty for exceeding track limits. So he ended up finishing 28th or 29th. So yeah. Yeah, so yeah, so he got a penalty for that, and he was not happy about it. But rules are rules, I think. Meredith: Yeah, he was up there. What do you get a penalty for? I didn't know he got a penalty. That's hilarious. Paulie :D: There's certain from what I've been from what I've gathered, there's certain tracks that NASCAR tries to really harp on on. You know, you can't use the apron to to go, and this was one of them. So but I don't know, you can make the argument that he got pushed, you got you can make the argument that whatever happened, but Bubba was not happy when it comes to that. Meredith: get that, but I what an exciting finish. Like just one lap. I could have just watched one lap and been happy. And then Ryan Blaney, after he won at two in the morning, went and got his motorcycle and then drove the track with his big old motorcycle, just his cruiser. It was awesome. Paulie :D: So because Harley I love the interview where he's like, Are we live? And he's like, Yeah, I took a three hour nap. Meredith: He he says it first and then he's like, Are we live? and he goes and just walks off. Paulie :D: Just walks on. So this weekend they are in what is the name of that track? North Wilkesboro Speedway. In no in North Carolina. Meredith: You said North Wilkesboro? Where's that? What is that? It makes me think of a red and white checker tablecloth. Paulie :D: Very fancy. Meredith: Don't know why it just make it's given those vibes. I don't know a thing about it, but yeah, it'll be a fun one. I'm gonna be honest, I probably won't watch that one because I feel like I'm gonna be like motor sported out because I'm like spa in the morning and then World Cup, like and we got Nash car Nash car Nashville indie car nah Nash car. Paulie :D: Nash car, I love it. Yeah, so Josh: Nah, score. Paulie :D: Indy Car is in the beautiful Nashville. Well, outside of Nashville, which is an oval race. I went to it last year, was a lot of fun. They they this year they're bringing in a new tire because last year they had some issues with tires blowing up and kind of destroyed Paddle's race. And especially July. Josh knows it, Tennessee. It is warm as hell. Meredith: 'Cause it's hot as bugs. Yeah. Everybody show everybody your indie car tattoo. Your souvenir. That's his souvenir from last year, y'all. Paulie :D: So it'll be interesting that Anycar tattoo. Any car tattoo. Absolutely. So they are gonna go right literally after the World Cup ends on Fox, they are going to to you know start the race. So it'll be interesting to see what type of ratings they get. Meredith: Yeah, agreed. I this is one that I like I would have loved for us to be able to all like go to and meet at because I think it would have been a fun one. But I'm like, my schedule's just been bonkers and I'm so excited to stay indoors this weekend and just watch stuff on TV. Paulie :D: Rum rumor has it that th this one might not stick around the calendar. Meredith: Well, that's why they shifted it because drivers weren't happy with it being the last race of the season. So they flipped that with Laguna Seca in hopes that that's a better season finisher. But I could see Nashville moving off the calendar easy. Paulie :D: Well, no, what what the rumor is Nashville is gonna move over to a street circuit in Nashville on Broadway, and they think it's gonna be better. well I I really come to enjoy the oval racing when it comes to IndyCar because it just gives you so much more action. I'm hoping they can. Meredith: Yeah, that'd be way better. Be way better. Josh: That'd be cool. Meredith: Yeah, but it's Nashville. A street race in Nashville is iconic. Paulie :D: No, no, no. I'm not I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm not disagreeing with you. And I think Indy Carr is seeing what happened in Arlington this year with Texas Stadium or Cowboys Stadium, whatever the hell you call it. So I think they want to, you know, backpack on that, pig back on that, and run that success. Personally, if it was up to me, I would have both races. Give me a street circuit on the streets of Nashville, down Broadway, and give me the over racing outside of Nashville. Because that would just give you a lot of fun. Meredith: Yeah. They got they got plenty of ovals. They're not gonna do both. Paulie :D: Well Josh: Boo. W boo ovals. They're no fun. Paulie :D: You know what? I this this Meredith: here for s I'm here for some ovals. I'm I'm with you Paul. I do like an oval. I would rather see another oval stay on the track and Nashville convert to a street race. Paulie :D: Hey Josh. Josh: Dude, I I if I need to go to sleep, I just flip on a Noble Race and I'm right to bed like a baby. Paulie :D: You know, that was me, but I've really come to enjoy over racing, especially watching NASCAR so much. Meredith: Well it's because you've gotten in a NAS car, which makes you have a different level of appreciation. And then when you see an indie car do an oval track, it makes you have an even higher level of appreciation. Paulie :D: Yeah. Plus I really I I've enjoyed going to I I really enjoyed going to the Nashville race. You see the action the entire way through. And that's kind of cool. Cause in Coda Josh: No, see I now I'm down with a a stadium s race, right? That's one of the reasons I think that the Daytona twenty four is just an incredible race because you can see the whole thing. I'm all for a stadium. But like open up the infield. Give me a give me some a little bit of of a circuit in there. You can still have your high banking, but just give me a little something in the middle, in the infield. Well just a little something to spice it Meredith: I know some. Paulie :D: Jos Josh choose Josh Josh wants some left-handed and some right-handed turns in there. He he need he needs a little mix of both. Josh: I need I need both. I need both rights and left. Meredith: Nothing wrong with that. Little a little both. Nothing wrong with that. Paulie :D: Yeah, so I I I you know, we agree on that one. Hey buddy. Meredith: Josh, tell us about you said you just finished watching the Imsa race. Tell us about the Imser race. Josh: Good. So MSA race was fun. it was only two classes. Well, three classes, technically, if the GTs count. so you have your GTs were split up into two classes and then the L P twos are racing. The hypercars had the week off because a lot of the drivers had conflicting schedules with the Sao Paulo with WEC. And so great move on MSA's part, right? To to to not make people choose. Such a good idea. Give them the week off. Let them go race in Brazil. So Meredith: So smart. Josh: You had lot of your gentleman drivers in the L P twos and they were the headliners. It's the only race of the season that they are they are the headliners. it was a fun Yeah. It's so it's like their time to shine, kind of. So fun race. I had never I don't think I'd ever watched a race at at the Canada Motorsport Park, right? I don't think that's one I'd had seen or really knew anything about. So I had to definitely look up I'm pulling up the results. Meredith: That's cool. I didn't know that. That's awesome. Josh: I don't know how Canada. but so that was so it been a I was I was thumbing badly. all right, so the LP2s, the yeah, the that's right. The number 43 with Tom Dillman and Jeremy Clark, they took it from start to finish pretty much, had obviously pretty good strategy. They were there on pole pole positions, so they took it pretty clean. it didn't Meredith: How do spell Canada? Did you just say how do you spell Canada? Uh-huh. Paulie :D: It's Canada, nobody cares. Josh: looked like there was a whole lot of of challenger there. The only one that was anywhere really close was the the number four, which had a little little stint there at the beginning where they were in the lead, but was they were pretty quickly overtaken. hey AO Racing, I I do love like their program. I think they're pretty, pretty they're I think they're one of my favorite I hate being like the of course that's the like the bandwagon fans, right? Everybody loves V. They're they their livery's great. Their their marketing is really Meredith: think it's cool though. Their paint schemes are awesome. Yeah. Josh: Really, really good. And so I there's always a car that I see and I'm like, ooh, I know you know, I can easily recognize that car. I think PJ Hyatt's a very good driver and I I would like to see him in a hyper car at some point. yeah, I would like to see him take a take a step up or or even get a factory drive somewhere. but they came in third. Meredith: That'd be cool. Yeah. Josh: More telling was I mean back on the AO train, they they got second in the GTD pro category with Nick Tandy and Harry King. They were saying Harry King is is he's a younger guy. I didn't realize he's he's quite young, and that he w like is not gonna get a a factory seat. So he's pretty much locked in with AO, which is which is great for them since that I mean that gives them a very consistent driver. but then in the GTD category, the Mercedes Meredith: Okay. Yeah, it's fantastic. Josh: AMG went the Windward Racing one with Philip Ellison Russell Ward. but leading most of the race was Barrichello's son. Meredith: Can you repeat those names for me? Josh: Philip Ellis and Russell Ward. Meredith: Sounds like characters in a murder mystery show. That is a British BBC murder mystery show to a T. And they all look like George Russell in my brain. I'm I'm picturing it now. Paulie :D: Hundred percent. Josh: They they that does sound very much like a a George Russell esque. I'm looking to see where The the BMW was leading like most of the G T D category and so I'm trying to see where they actually finished. Meredith: I do always find it bumming in like the endurance racing when you watch for a really long stint in it and it's like endurance racing in sense like you like someone's leading for a stint and you leave to go do something and you come back and you're like, I have no idea what happened to them, where they ended up. And I'm always like, That makes my heart sad. Josh: I cannot find. Maybe there it is. Barrichello's son was racing with the Heart of Racing at the Aston Martin. They were leading for quite a while. ended up in sixth. I'm I missed whatever happened to them. Anyway. But it was fun. It was fun to see a little bit more of the spotlight being on like the GTs this time around. It was a you know there's yeah, we're so used to like the the coverage being dominated by the hypercar. Meredith: Yeah. 'Cause we're so used to seeing hypercar. Josh: So the G I I always really enjoyed the GT categories and w they don't get a lot of airtime. So it was fun to see the spotlight a bit more on them. I've still gotta watch the Wec race. I have not finished it all the way through yet. Meredith: I will not say anything. Paulie :D: Spoiler I know who wins. Josh: I could Google it real easy. Meredith: Well, do you watch a video? Do you see some stuff online? Paulie :D: I just saw it online. Spoiler. Meredith: Yeah, let me know when you let me know when you finish it, Josh. It was I thought it was a good one. Yeah. I mean, this weekend what do we have what do we have? Other than IndyCar in Nashville. We have NASCAR, you said in North Wilkesboro, my tablecloth county. and do we have anything else? I don't think we have I know we don't have WEC. Do we have any Moto GP or anything? I'm like, not like I have time to watch anything else, because literally it's gonna be Spa, World Cup, Nashclub. I just did it again. Nashcar. Nashcar. Maybe they should I I'm actually gonna trademark that hashtag right now for Nashville Nash, you know, Nashcar. Hashtag Nashcar. Yeah, so it'll be a great weekend full of racing. I'm excited. Josh: Nice car. Paulie :D: Hashtag. Hashtag. Yeah, should hopefully be a good good time. A lot of good racing. Meredith: No, Moto G P's on a break for a while. They've got Brit Great Britain coming up in August, but Moto G P's on a break for a while. Paulie :D: And Argentina's gonna lift the World Cup again, back to back champions. Meredith: He was like, I did see some stat that was like the last time some so and so happened in the World Cup, Max went on to win twenty seven races in a row or something like and I was like, chill, that ain't happening this year, y'all. Paulie :D: The the last time England I think I saw it was the last time England lost, Max won on like a twenty three of twenty seven win race streak or some crazy thing like that. Meredith: Yeah, something like that, yeah. I'm like, y'all keep dreaming. Paulie :D: Absolutely. But hey, guys, any last final thoughts before we wrap it up for the evening?
