- 0:13Hello you guys, and welcome back to another episode of the Howgrel Energy Podcast.
- 0:17I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is your weekly reminder that it's
- 0:20a new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day
- 0:23for you to become the Hawtrel energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Happy Tuesday, and welcome to February. Can we talk about February for
- 0:34a second. It's love month. It's we finally got past January. As
- 0:39much as I love setting goals and setting intentions for the year and all that,
- 0:43I really don't love the month of January. So I'm so happy to
- 0:46be past that and entering February because February is one of my favorite months.
- 0:51I love love, I love love month, I love Valentine's Day. I
- 0:57love February because it's the month I got engaged. It's just a month that
- 1:02I love. So anyways, I'm really excited about going into this month.
- 1:07We have a really exciting few episodes coming up. So for today, I
- 1:11really wanted to focus on gallantines. Things that you can do to spend time
- 1:17with your friends or your girlfriends, some just some inspo, whether it's your
- 1:21sister or things that you want to do with yourself or with your partner.
- 1:23I just thought I would name a few ideas of what you can do this
- 1:26February just to yea, enjoy yourself, enjoy company, and just something to
- 1:33look forward to this month, as well as some habits for self love,
- 1:38like what can we do to ourself to truly love ourselves? We talk about
- 1:45so much about loving our friends, loving our partners, loving our family,
- 1:48but do you really love yourself? And I'm going to be sharing some habits
- 1:52and tips on how to truly love yourself because I think that's most important.
- 1:57If you don't love yourself, and how do you expect to love other people
- 2:00around you. So we're definitely going to be focusing a lot on that in
- 2:02this episode as well. But for the next few episodes, the next one
- 2:07is actually going to be with Zach. I haven't done an episode with Zach
- 2:10in a very long time. I honestly don't remember the last time we did
- 2:14an episode with Zach. I feel like it was I think it was in
- 2:17September, before our engagement party or after the engagement party around that time,
- 2:22and I always love having him on the podcast. So next week we're really
- 2:24going to focus on relationship advice, things that Zach and I have done to
- 2:29really help keep our spark alive in our eleven years of dating. It's going
- 2:34to be eleven years in like three weeks, which is so crazy. So
- 2:38yeah, so we're gonna be talking about that, maybe talk about how we
- 2:42met, maybe a little bit about us if you guys don't know us that
- 2:46well, if you're new to the podcast, just kind of have him involved,
- 2:50because yeah, I thought it's the month of Love, we might as
- 2:53well have him on here, and yeah, have him chat about some relationship
- 2:58advice. So that will be the next week's episode, and then the following
- 3:00episode will probably be about prepping for a trip because I am heading to Mexico.
- 3:07I'm going to Tuloom in three weeks with my family. I have not
- 3:10gone on a family trip in a very long time, so I'm very excited
- 3:15to go with my parents. To be fully transparent, I was not planning
- 3:19to travel anywhere this month at all because of the wedding. Obviously there's a
- 3:24lot of travels coming up in the coming months. I'm like, I don't
- 3:30want to spend a pretty penny on a trip right now, but my parents
- 3:34were kind enough to invite me, and you know, being almost twenty eight,
- 3:38still going on family vacations, like, I will never say no to
- 3:42a family vacation, and you know what, it's nice to spend time with
- 3:45family, and I get to spend some quality time with my sister, so
- 3:47it's going to be fun. I'm excited to get some sunshine, get some
- 3:51beach time and all that. And then in March, I'll be going to
- 3:54La I will also be going to Mexico again for my very first brand trip,
- 4:00which I'm very excited about. And then I'm off to London, England
- 4:02and Italy for food tasting, makeup and hair trial all that, and then
- 4:09it will be the wedding and then the honeymoon like crazy. So a lot
- 4:12a lot of travels coming up, which I'm very excited about. But let's
- 4:15get into today's episode. Okay. So I am actually going to a Gallantine's
- 4:20date night with my girlfriends the day after Valentine's Day, so February fifteenth,
- 4:25which I'm very excited about. I was actually going to host something originally,
- 4:29but then my girlfriend was insisting that she hosted, so I'm like, of
- 4:31course, like I'm totally okay with that, so hopefully I can host something
- 4:35in the future. But I'm very, very excited because we are doing a
- 4:39girls' night. We are doing cocktails and appetizers, so everybody brings a signature
- 4:45Valentine's Day themed cocktail. We're going to be breaking up into partners, so
- 4:48my partner is Alyssa. Alyssa's going to be bringing a appetizer and I'm going
- 4:51to be bringing a specialty cocktail. So yeah, there's about I think fifteen
- 4:57of us, so it's a pretty big group of girls. And yeah,
- 5:00I think it'll be fun just to try different cocktails, different appetizers. So
- 5:03that's how we'll be spending our Gallentine's Day. But I really wanted to share
- 5:06some other ideas. This is something that I would envision if I was hosting,
- 5:11as well as just some future ideas for hosting opportunities for you. This
- 5:15could be themed for anything, whether it's Easter, whether it's Valentine's Day,
- 5:18whether it's Christmas, Thanksgiving, whatever the case may be, or just a
- 5:23random night that you want to host with your girlfriends or your partner. These
- 5:27are really really good ideas that I've gotten from Pinterest or just inspiration that I've
- 5:30seen on social media. One of the biggest ones that I see all the
- 5:33time is the paint and sip. I love the idea getting a bottle of
- 5:38wine painting with your friends. It's a hobby, it's something to do,
- 5:41it's exciting. I also love the idea of painting candles. I've seen the
- 5:46tall candles having little illustrations on the actual tall candle, which is so freaking
- 5:51cute in my opinion. I think I mentioned this in my Fall Bucketless episode
- 5:56as well, but just having different themes on the candles, painting little bows,
- 6:00little hearts, little cupid arrows, whatever it is to the theme of
- 6:02Valentine's Day. I think that's such a fun and cute idea. Or you
- 6:06can paint a canvas, put it somewhere in your home, whatever the case
- 6:11may be. Another idea is a Valentine's themed brunch. I love brunch.
- 6:15Who doesn't love brunch. I would love to come to someone's house for someone
- 6:19to make me heart shape pancakes, bacon, eggs, just everything Valentine's Day
- 6:26themed. I think that's the cutest idea. Having hurt mugs everywhere, coffee,
- 6:30just the cutest vibe. So I love doing a brunch idea themed cocktails,
- 6:34which is kind of something that my girlfriends and I are doing, which
- 6:38I said going on Pinterest finding Valentine's Day inspired cocktails. Whether it's pink,
- 6:43red, sparkles, whatever the case may be. I just think that's the
- 6:46cutest thing. Another idea that this can totally be not based off of an
- 6:53event that's happening, whether it's Valentine's Day, Easter, or whatever. This
- 6:56could totally be just a girl's night out idea. Appetizers on a country,
- 7:00So whether it's Mexican food, Portuguese food, German, American, Asian,
- 7:06whatever the case i be, everybody in your friend group brings a different kind
- 7:11of appetizer from a different country. Everyone gets assigned to a different country.
- 7:15I think that's such a cool idea because it allows you to try so many
- 7:16different foods. It's such a fun experiment. I love to cook, so
- 7:20trying to cook something new is also exciting and fun. Also a gamble if
- 7:26it's going to taste good or not, right, But I thought that was
- 7:29a really really good idea. This is something that we've had on the list
- 7:31of things to do for here at my house. I have like a little
- 7:33list of like hosting ideas of what I want to do because this is the
- 7:39year that I'm supposed to host more now that I have my house in control
- 7:42with all the furniture and everything. So yeah, this is my year for
- 7:46hosting. So hopefully I can host something soon. But I have a list
- 7:48of hosting ideas, so these are kind of like the ones that I have
- 7:53in my notes. So the appetizer is based on country. Another cute idea
- 7:58is doing heart shaped pizza. This could totally be a girl's night. I
- 8:01think this is a really fun idea. I did this with Zach the other
- 8:03night, which was a cute little date night for him and I and we
- 8:05watched a movie as well. You could do a candlelit dinner with your girlfriends.
- 8:11Love this idea. Decorate your home, decorate your space, put a
- 8:15bunch of candles, make the Gigihadid vodka pasta, or whatever your favorite recipe
- 8:20is. Passes I find are always easier when it comes to a big group
- 8:22of girls. And yeah, I just have a candle dinner with your girlfriends.
- 8:26I think that's so fun. Another idea, which this is new to
- 8:30me, I actually saw this on Pinterest. But having a floral arrangement making
- 8:35day with your girlfriends, like everybody brings a collection of their favorite flowers,
- 8:41and then you just pick an assortment of different flowers from what your guests have
- 8:45brought, and you make your own bouquet that you get to bring home.
- 8:48I thought that was such a fun idea because I love creating bouquets. Like
- 8:52I will go into a floral shop and I will spend like hours, well
- 8:56not hours, but I will spend an hour probably looking at all the flowers
- 9:00and just really creating the perfect arrangement of flowers. I think flowers are just
- 9:05so beautiful, and I think it's such a beautiful thing to give to other
- 9:09people. I love having flowers in my home all the time. I currently
- 9:13have two bouquets in my house right now, and I think it just brings
- 9:16such happiness in a home. It's the smallest little detail, it's the smallest
- 9:20little thing, but I find flowers are just so meaningful in my opinion.
- 9:24So yeah, I feel like the little floral arrangement idea with your girlfriends could
- 9:28be really really fun. Another idea is hosting a movie night, so decorating
- 9:33your space at home, putting your couch together, getting all the blankets,
- 9:37and just watching a old movie like a two thousand's movie. I love watching
- 9:41like thirteen going on thirty, She's the Man as another good one, a
- 9:45Cinderella Story. There's one I'm thinking of right now and I can't think of
- 9:48the name of it. It's a Hillary Duff movie. It is the Perfect
- 9:52Man. Like that movie came out in two thousand and five and I'm just
- 9:56googling it. That's not something I know off by heart, but that was
- 10:01one of my favorite movies growing up, Like just so freaking cute. But
- 10:03I just love watching movies from the two thousands, Like that is the key
- 10:07to my heart, and I find it so fun to do with your girlfriends.
- 10:11So highly recommend having a movie night with your girlfriends and watching movies from
- 10:13the two thousands. We'll bring back so many fun memories from you as a
- 10:18child and just your childhood in general. Another bougie hosting idea which has been
- 10:24on my list to do is hiring a private cheft or a private bartender and
- 10:28just giving you the experience in your home first going out. I think that's
- 10:33such a fun idea. Being able to have someone who's professional obviously doing something
- 10:39and getting them to do it in the comfort of your own home, I
- 10:41feel like is so cool. So that's something I've been wanting to do for
- 10:46my birthday because I think that's a fun little birthday idea. And yeah,
- 10:50I don't know, I just thought that was such a cool idea. My
- 10:52girlfriend actually told me about the bartender idea. She had someone come for her
- 10:56Christmas party, I believe for work in a bart tiend came to the person's
- 11:00house, her boss's house, and they did like specialty cocktails, and yeah,
- 11:05I just thought that was such a cool experience. So if you want
- 11:07to be bougie and hire a private chef, I think that's a really fun
- 11:11idea. Another really good idea could be a checuterie board night, so everybody
- 11:16brings a shacuterie board and it could be savory, it could be sweet,
- 11:20and you just put a bunch of random stuff on a platter. I love
- 11:24Schacutari boards. That is something that I will always go towards whenever I'm at
- 11:28a party or a gathering or anything like that. I have this obsession with
- 11:33Schacuterari boards. So it's like the key to my heart basically. And then
- 11:35another idea, this is the last one, is a fondu night, So
- 11:39doing other a savory fondu or a sweet fondu or both. I think that's
- 11:43a really fun idea to do with your girlfriends. It's, yeah, something
- 11:46that brings you guys all together. And yeah, So those are some of
- 11:50the ideas for hosting or just some ideas if you needed some gallantines in spo.
- 11:56These could also be things that you could just do with your partner,
- 11:58just like at home date ideas, solo date ideas, whatever the case may
- 12:01be. But I wanted to share those with you guys because those have been
- 12:05on my phone for so long and I'm like, I need to incorporate this
- 12:07in an episode somehow because I have such great hosting ideas, and yeah,
- 12:11I thought I would share it with you guys, because yeah, they're just
- 12:13some fun ideas. So let's get into self love because this is something that
- 12:18I really really wanted to talk about in this episode because I truly feel like
- 12:22everybody can really improve on their self love. I feel like everybody has times
- 12:28where you know, they don't love their self and they don't realize that.
- 12:33So I really want to share some tips on how to truly love yourself.
- 12:39So one thing that I think is a very common thing that everybody does,
- 12:43because let's face it, it's just the reality. Stop comparing yourself to others.
- 12:48I used to compare myself all the freaking time, and I still do.
- 12:52Let's be honest, like people compare themselves all the time. It's just
- 12:56our nature to do that. I feel like it's dangerous, but it's natural
- 13:00to compare yourself to someone else that you see on the Internet, or someone
- 13:03that you're friends with, or a family member. And one specific example that
- 13:07I can think of is my sister. She was always good at school.
- 13:13Like my sister, she is currently doing her masters in the biokem program,
- 13:18just a little brainiac, like she's working in a lab, like she's so
- 13:22smart. And as a kid growing up, I always was so jealous of
- 13:26her, like I was like, I wish I was as smart as Madison.
- 13:28I wish I was school smart. I had never been strong in academics,
- 13:33like school was never for me. I always always struggled in school.
- 13:37It was to the point where, you know, when I was younger,
- 13:39my mom brought me to a learning disability clinic and they diagnosed me with ADHD.
- 13:45And that's just the reality. And I always struggled and had a hard
- 13:48time dealing with that. And you know, I'd always complained to my mom
- 13:52saying, like, you know, how can I improve my communication skills?
- 13:56How can I improve my academics? Like what can I do? What can
- 13:58I do? With My mom always said to me, she said, you
- 14:01need to look at your strengths besides all the things that you hate about yourself.
- 14:07She's like, what are those other strengths? You are creative, you
- 14:11are very social, you are very confident. You are so good at sports,
- 14:16like those are things that you know, my sister wasn't really good at.
- 14:20But again, it shouldn't be about comparison. It should be about what
- 14:22are your strengths that you're good at what makes you you? And so once
- 14:28I figured out, okay, these are my strengths, these are things that
- 14:31I'm good at, it made me love myself more because not a lot of
- 14:35people can say they're very social. They can't, you know, communicate in
- 14:37a big room in front of all these people, like you put me in
- 14:41front of a stage right now and talk in front of one hundred people,
- 14:43like, yeah, sure, I'll be a little nervous, but I'll be
- 14:45able to do it confidently because I know I'm okay to speak in crowds.
- 14:48I can't compare myself to her because at the end of the day, we
- 14:52have different strengths, we have different goals. Like at the end of the
- 14:56day, I need to look at my own strengths and be proud of those
- 14:58strength because not a lot of people are blessed to have those strengths. Right
- 15:03looking at my career, my career is all about creativity, and creativity is
- 15:09my strength. Like that is something that I truly love doing. Marketing is
- 15:13my favorite thing. Being able to be in somewhat of a marketing field job
- 15:18is so rewarding for me, and it allows me to use my strengths.
- 15:22I always thought I was going to struggle to find a job in my life.
- 15:24To be honest, I thought, you know, if I'm not academically
- 15:26smart, like, how am I going to get away with life? Like
- 15:28how am I going to get a job? How am I going to get
- 15:31a career? And being able to have a career with one of my strengths
- 15:35is so rewarding. Because I've always said this on the podcast, but if
- 15:39you truly don't love what you're doing, you're not going to be happy.
- 15:41And I believe that I love what I do and the reason why I continue
- 15:46doing it and the reason why I personally believe I'm good at it is because
- 15:50I love what I do and I'm using my strengths with my job. So
- 15:56I don't know. I think there's no point in comparing yourself to anyone else
- 16:00on this planet because there's only one you. There's no one else. It's
- 16:06you. You're focusing on yourself, You're focusing on your own journey. I
- 16:10think at the end of the day, you need to figure out ways on
- 16:11how you can be better and how you can do better by allowing yourself to
- 16:17look at your strengths and be proud of those strengths. Another thing is to
- 16:21not be afraid to let go of toxic people. There's always going to be
- 16:25someone in your life. Let's be honest, Like I have definitely had talks
- 16:27people in my life that I have let go and it was for the best.
- 16:30It was definitely for the best. I feel so good for letting those
- 16:34people come out of my life because I knew there was a reason to let
- 16:37them go. I knew there was some negativity going around myself with those people
- 16:44in my life. You'll always reach a point in your life though, when
- 16:47you will ask yourself, is this still worth it to be with this person,
- 16:49whether it's a relationship with a man or a relationship with your family.
- 16:55Like, there's always going to be times in your life where you know,
- 16:56talks of people come and go. It's just the reality said this is going
- 17:00to be applied to relationships with your partner, with your family, with your
- 17:03friends. That just it's the circle of life. I think the important thing
- 17:07is when you're looking in a toxic relationship, you need to look at the
- 17:11most important thing, which is what is affecting you and your growth? How
- 17:15is this a person affecting you and your growth. If they're affecting your career
- 17:21growth and it's impacting you to actually become successful and become the person that you
- 17:26want to become, then you need to let that person go because they're not
- 17:30worth your energy and they're not worth your time. You need to make a
- 17:32decision on how you're going to move forward. How are you going to move
- 17:34past this with this person? In your life. I think at this point
- 17:37you'll need to figure out, Okay, do I need to set boundaries with
- 17:41this person? Do I need to create more distance? Like, do what
- 17:45you think feels right with that person, whether it's not letting them go completely,
- 17:48But as I said, setting boundaries and creating more distance between them might
- 17:52be the best situation. So really reevaluate people in your life and figure out,
- 17:56Okay, who are these people that are impacted me and impacting my success
- 18:02for growth? And how can I create these boundaries for myself? How can
- 18:06I create distance that way I can still maybe have these people in my life,
- 18:11but not let them impact me going towards my goals and going towards my
- 18:15future. So really evaluate that because I think having toxic people in your life
- 18:19is obviously a huge impact. And as I said, you really just need
- 18:23to be able to set some boundaries and create distance and do what feels right
- 18:29for you. The next one is trust yourself to make good decisions for yourself.
- 18:33You need to take the risk. Let's be honest, Like, I
- 18:36feel like you need to trust your own gut when it comes to anything.
- 18:41You are not going to be able to allow yourself to try new things,
- 18:45or try new career paths, or whatever the case may be. Like,
- 18:49you need to fully trust yourself before you trust someone else. You need to
- 18:53be able to trust that you're going to be able to take on these new
- 18:57opportunities, take on these new career paths, and not let anybody impact you
- 19:02on your decision. You need to be okay with your decision and not care
- 19:06what other people think. Your feelings are valid and you are not losing touch
- 19:10with reality. This is why we create vision boards. This is why we
- 19:14set goals for ourselves, because we can do anything we set our mind too.
- 19:17This is why we talk about manifestation. This is why we talk about
- 19:19goals for ourselves. Why we write down these things on a monthly basis,
- 19:23on a weekly basis, on a yearly basis. There is nothing that is
- 19:29unachievable. You can achieve anything you want in life if you set your mind
- 19:33to it. At the end of the day, you know yourself better than
- 19:34anyone else, so be your best advocate. Do what you can to make
- 19:41your life better. I feel like a motivational speaker right now just talking about
- 19:44this stuff, but truly, this is just how I feel like I think
- 19:47about my career. And I remember telling my parents that, hey, like,
- 19:51I want to quit my job and start social media full time. And
- 19:52my parents looked at me and They're like, you're kidding, right, Like
- 19:56this is a hobby, this is not a career. And I'm like,
- 19:57Okay, watch me, watch me grow my platform, watch me take the
- 20:03risk and really try and follow my dreams of becoming a full time influencer.
- 20:07And then once my parents saw the hard work and they saw the money that
- 20:12I was making, and they saw just how genuinely happy I was and being
- 20:18able to use my creativity and even the podcast. Like when I told my
- 20:21parents I was going to start a podcast, they were like, you don't
- 20:22have time for that, and I'm like, just watch me. I'm going
- 20:26to find time. I want to get on the mic. I want to
- 20:29start my own podcast. I want to educate females or males or anything like
- 20:33that to really love their self, to truly just become their best selves.
- 20:37And here we are today. I have a podcast, I have quit my
- 20:41full time job. I do content creation full time. Like I took the
- 20:44risk because I trusted myself. I followed my goals. I achieved those goals
- 20:48for myself. Did I ever think this was going to happen? Absolutely not,
- 20:52Absolutely freaking not. I look at myself four years ago when I was
- 20:56working a corporate job and I'm like, what the actual hell, Like how
- 21:00did I get here? Like how did I actually do this for myself?
- 21:04And it was all from setting goals for myself and actually achieving them and actually
- 21:10like telling myself that I could do this. Another huge thing is self talk.
- 21:14Motivating yourself is so important. Talking yourself in a mirror. If you're
- 21:18having a bad day, talk to yourself. This is something I strive to
- 21:22do all the time because I'm going to be truly honest. Nobody is perfect,
- 21:25and everybody has bad weeks or bad months. It's just the reality or
- 21:27bad days. And I truly find when I'm on my lowest and I feel
- 21:32sad and I feel alone, and I feel like, Okay, how do
- 21:33I get out of this rut? How do I get out of this slump?
- 21:36Like how do I get my sparkle back? It's talking to myself,
- 21:40it's writing things down, it's just getting out of that negative headspace by being
- 21:45positive. You really need to just turn it off. You need to flip
- 21:48the switch and you need to get back into that positive mindset, just talking
- 21:52to yourself, saying positive things about yourself, telling yourself that you're going to
- 21:56be able to get out of this. You need to do that for yours.
- 22:00This is why I talk about journaling so much and writing things down.
- 22:03It truly makes the biggest difference. When you write things down, you let
- 22:07that negative energy get out of your head and you think about the positive.
- 22:11The next one is seeing beauty in the simplest things. Now, this is
- 22:15again another reason why we have gratitude, because it gives you the perspective of
- 22:22the smallest things in life and the smallest things that bring you joy. So
- 22:26for an example, as I said, like having flowers in my home brings
- 22:30me so much joy, like the smallest little thing. Being able to write
- 22:33things down and just realize how grateful you actually are is so rewarding. Things
- 22:41like flowers in your home, eating your favorite food, going on a walk,
- 22:45being able to spend time with your friend, buying yourself flowers, like
- 22:51those little things we need to be grateful for because, let's face it,
- 22:55not everybody has the luxury of doing that. And that's the reality. Like
- 22:59it's sounds sad, but it's the truth. There's not a lot of people
- 23:03out there that have the luxury of being able to do those things, being
- 23:07able to live in a beautiful home, being able to surround themselves with family,
- 23:11being able to have a good relationship with your family, your partner,
- 23:15Like everybody, needs to understand that you are blessed and you should be grateful
- 23:21for those little things that you have in your life. And having those things
- 23:26allows you to realize that you have so much joy in your life that you
- 23:30don't even realize. And writing these things down allows you to realize that,
- 23:36holy shit, I am so beyond grateful. I am so beyond blessed that
- 23:41I have these things. And it's the simplest things that can just bring you
- 23:45so much joy. So get a piece of paper, write down things that
- 23:48you're grateful for, ten things, ten things. Right now, write ten
- 23:52things down that you're beyond grateful for, and you're going to realize how freaking
- 23:56blessed you are and how freaking proud you should be of yourself being able to
- 24:02have those things in your life. Another one is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
- 24:07We need to understand that nobody is perfect everybody makes mistakes, and this
- 24:12is why we need to make mistakes, because we need to be able to
- 24:17learn from those mistakes. If we don't make mistakes, we're never gonna learn.
- 24:19I think we all need to look at mistakes from a different mindset.
- 24:22We need to look at mistakes as an opportunity for self reflection and learning,
- 24:26like, how can we learn from this mistake? How can I do better?
- 24:29What can I do differently next time? You really need to just be
- 24:32able to face those mistakes and just realize that this was supposed to happen and
- 24:37you're gonna be able to move past it because you're gonna learn from this issue.
- 24:41But at the end of the day, we use our mistakes as an
- 24:44opportunity to learn and grow from this problem. Okay. The last one when
- 24:49it comes to self love is being able to conquer your fears. It is
- 24:56okay to be afraid. Don't let this. I admit your possibility. There
- 25:02is so many things that people are afraid of and they just completely shut it
- 25:07out, like they shut out of their life. They don't do anything.
- 25:08They just said, Okay, I'm afraid of this. I'm not gonna conquer
- 25:11it like it is what it is. For an example, my mom.
- 25:15She hates flying, like hates jumping on a plane and flying, Like whenever
- 25:19she's on that flight, she's holding my hand, she's basically in tears from
- 25:23her anxiety, like no word of a lie. But she still conquers her
- 25:27fear because she loves to travel. She loves to be able to go to
- 25:30different places in the world. She loves to be able to do that with
- 25:33her family, with her friends. She conquers it. An example for someone
- 25:37who doesn't conquer it is my grandma. My grandma came from Italy like years
- 25:44ago before I was even born, like I want to say, like like
- 25:47sixty five years ago. She has never been back to Italy since because she
- 25:51is too afraid to get on that plane and fly home. And she won't.
- 25:56She will never do it ever again. That's what she said to us.
- 25:57She will never jump on a plane again. But how do we conquer
- 26:02these fears if we just completely ignore it? Like I think of myself where
- 26:07I honestly I'm gonna talk about the podcast for a second. I honestly never
- 26:11thought in a million years that I would be speaking into a microphone right now
- 26:15and calling this my job because I always grew up having such a fear of
- 26:19my communication skills and felt like I don't know how to communicate to people.
- 26:23I always just struggled with my learning disability that I had a hard time expressing
- 26:29how I felt or expressing, you know, just situations. And you know,
- 26:33I still struggle with that, like I have, you know, Zach
- 26:36and my parents and everyone. Whenever I'm having a conversation with someone, you
- 26:40know, sometimes I can't get my point across and Zach will be like,
- 26:42oh, you mean this, and I'm like, exactly, but I just
- 26:45I've always had a hard time expressing that. So I never thought in a
- 26:48million years that I would be sitting here creating a podcast and talking on a
- 26:52mic about how to improve ourselves? How can we better ourselves? I just
- 26:56never thought that I would be able to do that and being able to conquer
- 27:00my fear and being able to just embrace it by communicating all the time with
- 27:06you guys on a weekly basis, but finding ways to communicate about things that
- 27:10I truly love and that I truly believe in, and being able to have
- 27:14your positive feedback from you guys, and being able to say that, oh
- 27:18my god killie, Like you're such a natural, You're such a great podcast
- 27:21host. Like that to me is shocking because I was always scared to start
- 27:26it. I never thought I would be able to actually do it, and
- 27:29I never thought that I would be able to conquer that fear of doing it.
- 27:33But I did it. So I don't know. I think at the
- 27:36end of the day, you need to be able to face your fears,
- 27:38figure out ways on how to let go of it, Like how can you
- 27:42improve Like one thing that my mom does before flying is she always makes sure
- 27:47she's practicing her breathing, her breathing techniques, how to deal with her anxiety,
- 27:49Like how can she help herself by maybe doing more meditation, really allowing
- 27:55herself to control that anxiety, that stress. Finding ways to conquer your fears
- 28:00is okay, It's okay to do it. Another little example is I'm afraid
- 28:03of the ocean because I'm afraid of sharks. But do I still go in
- 28:07the ocean. Of course, I still conquer that fear. I still do
- 28:10it. I find ways to get on with it. Conquer your fear,
- 28:14don't let it limit your possibility. So, and now we've talked about self
- 28:18love, we've talked about gallantines. Now we need to talk about relationships,
- 28:22but that will be in next week's episode with Zach. I'm really excited to
- 28:26have Zach on here because I feel like you guys always just hear me,
- 28:30and hopefully I would like to have some guests on here as well. I've
- 28:33definitely mentioned that in the past, but it's not an easy process, to
- 28:36be honest, because you need to be able to hook up the mic virtually
- 28:41through a specific platform, and I've heard podcasts with meeting people through zoom or
- 28:48whatever it is, and it's never the best quality. So I'm just trying
- 28:52to find the best quality way to do guests on the podcast that yeah,
- 28:56is actually worth doing, you know what I mean. Like, I'd rather
- 29:00high quality then it be shit, so bear with me. I will definitely
- 29:03have guests eventually on the podcast. I just prefer to have guests live versus
- 29:08like through this platform because it's such a pain in the ass to deal with
- 29:11from what I heard from other podcast hosts that I've talked to, So yeah,
- 29:15but hopefully we'll have some more in the future. But Zach will be
- 29:18here so that will be fun. So anyways, I love you guys.
