- 3:02In local news, Jerry Seinfeld, one of the most successful comedians of our time, recently
- 3:08shared a memorable moment from his career that still affects him three decades later.
- 3:15During a 1993 performance in Boston, Seinfeld was heckled with a… heard it… shout from
- 3:21an audience member while delivering a meticulously crafted wedding bid.
- 3:27Despite the years and his significant success, this incident lingers in his mind, highlighting
- 3:32the challenges and intricacies of developing comedy that resonates and feels fresh.
- 3:38Even after repeated performances.
- 3:41Beantown Baby knocking you down a peg since forever.
- 3:50Now on to sports.
- 3:52After facing strong criticism over their new uniforms, Major League Baseball and Nike are
- 3:57set to make significant changes.
- 4:01Players and fans expressed dissatisfaction with issues like unreadable nameplates and
- 4:06moisture issues, prompting MLB to demand revisions.
- 4:11A memo from the MLB Players Association highlighted these concerns and confirmed that Nike will
- 4:17address the issues by the 2025 season, reversing many of the initial changes to the uniforms,
- 4:24which included problematic moisture handling and durability during play.
- 4:29In local sports.
- 4:31In Game 4, the Celtics on the road beat the Heat, 102-88.
- 4:37They now lead the series 3 games to 1 and head back to Boston for Game 5 on Wednesday.
- 4:45And tonight, the Red Sox are at home to take on the Giants.
- 4:50And the Bruins are at home for Game 5 to skate with the Maple Leafs.
- 4:56And top news, starting your day with vegetables instead of carbohydrates can lead to better
- 5:02control of blood sugar levels.
- 5:06Research suggests that eating non-starchy vegetables before carbs helps reduce glucose
- 5:10spikes, potentially benefiting both people with diabetes and those with normal blood
- 5:16sugar levels.
- 5:18This approach, which involves eating vegetables 10 minutes before carbohydrates, also helps
- 5:24curb hunger by affecting hunger hormones, leading to potentially lower calorie intake
- 5:30and better overall nutrient consumption.
- 5:34In business news.
- 5:36ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, has confirmed that it will not be selling its US.
- 5:43Operations of the platform, despite a new US law that could potentially force such a
- 5:48sale.
- 5:50This decision follows recent speculation about a possible sale, which ByteDance refutes as
- 5:55untrue.
- 5:58This stance comes after the US passed legislation citing national security concerns, which TikTok
- 6:04has countered by denying any sharing of US user data with the Chinese government.
- 6:10TikTok remains a major player in the US market, with around 170 million users, and continues
- 6:17to challenge the legislation in court.
- 6:21In crypto movement, Bitcoin is just over $63,000.
- 6:26Ethereum is $3,100.
- 6:29And Solana is $136.

- 7:19And now, back to the show.
- 7:23Let's talk science.
- 7:25An engineer claims to have developed a new propulsion system that defies traditional
- 7:29physics by not requiring propellant to produce thrust.
- 7:33Dubbed an improbable engine, this technology, created by former NASA engineer Charles Buller
- 7:39and his team at Exodus Propulsion Technologies, reportedly harnesses a new force that allows
- 7:46for the counteraction of Earth's gravity.
- 7:50This breakthrough could revolutionize space travel if validated, but it remains highly
- 7:55controversial and unproven, echoing the skepticism faced by previous attempts.
- 8:02Triggerless independent testing is necessary to verify these extraordinary claims.
- 8:10And in entertainment news, CBS is revamping its NFL Today lineup, introducing Matt Ryan
- 8:17to the studio team for the 2024 season.
- 8:22He joins James Brown, Nate Berlson, Phil Cower, and J.J. Watt as Phil Sims and Boomer S. Syison
- 8:29X at the show.
- 8:31Ouch.
- 8:32Where's the loyalty?
- 8:35Ryan transitions from game analysis to the pregame desk, highlighting his first successful
- 8:40year with CBS Sports.
- 8:43S. Syison, meanwhile, continues with CBS on the Boomer and Geo show, and Sims departs
- 8:49after a significant tenure.
- 8:52Ryan expressed enthusiasm about contributing to the legacy of the iconic show.
- 8:57Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote of the day.
- 9:03And today, our quote comes from Henry Ford, the creator of the Model T and the Ford Motor
- 9:10Company said, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.
- 9:16So if you're feeling like the wind is slowing you down lately, find a way to let it propel
- 9:21you rather than fight against it.
- 9:25And that's a wrap for this morning.
