- 0:08You are holy, You are worthy, You are awesome indeed.
- 0:12And in might, Father God, we come to you today expectant.
- 0:19We know that you can, Father. So we ask.
- 0:22We are asking that you will heal us today.
- 0:25God, heal our bodies today. Father, in the mighty name of
- 0:30Jesus Christ, take out disease, take out cancer.
- 0:35God, take out diabetes. God, take out hypertension and
- 0:39heart disease. God, take away epilepsy in the

- 0:48that you will take away disease, Father, from out of our bodies.
- 0:52Anything that is caused by an unclean, foul spirit, God cast
- 0:57it out. Father, cast it as far as the
- 1:01east is from the West. God cast it into the judgment,
- 1:05Father, that you have awaiting for it In the name of Jesus
- 1:08Christ is the only power Lord. So we pray in that name, in the
- 1:14name of Jesus, God, get rid of any that does not belong.
- 1:21God, I pray for sound minds. God, I pray against mental
- 1:26illness, Lord, and addiction. God, I pray against the spirit
- 1:31of alcoholism and drug addiction.
- 1:34God, I pray against the abuse of narcotics, Lord, and I pray
- 1:41right now, Lord, that you will give us sound bodies and sound
- 1:45minds. God, I pray that you will give
- 1:48us ministries and use the misery that we have gone through for
- 1:52your glory, Father, and your glory alone.
- 1:55Lord, open up our eyes to your wonderful words.
- 1:58Open up our minds and our hearts, God, as we open up your
- 2:02word, God, I pray that we'll hide it in our hearts so that we
- 2:06might not sin against you. Lord Jesus Christ, you are our
- 2:10everything. You are our All in all.
- 2:12You're the very breath in our lungs.
- 2:14And we are sold out to you. And we're asking that you,
- 2:18Father, will father us and father us well, God, be the one
- 2:23that we think of when we wake up.
- 2:26Help us to fall in love with you more.
- 2:28God. Let us be.
- 2:29Let you be the last thing on our minds, God.
- 2:32We want to be your laid down, sold out lovers.
- 2:36We want to be the bride. We want to make ourselves ready.
- 2:39We fill up our oil, God. We fill up our lamps, God, We're
- 2:44asking for the Holy Spirit to fill us today in the mighty name
- 2:48of Jesus Christ. Overflowing today.
- 2:51God, power from on high. God, fresh wind and fresh fire
- 2:55in this camp, God, for you are holy and you are worthy and you
- 2:59are everything. Yahweh, Yeshua the Hamasiah is
- 3:03spirit to Santos. We love you, King Jesus, and
- 3:07it's in your holy and precious name that I pray, Amen.
- 3:16Let's start in verse one, Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by
- 3:23the will of God and Timothy our brother unto the Church of God
- 3:30which is at Corinth with all the Saints which are in all Achaea.
- 3:37So here Paul is introducing himself along with his Co worker
- 3:42old Timothy who was like a son to him.
- 3:45And you can see here that God called Paul to be an apostle.
- 3:48Paul didn't choose to be an apostle.
- 3:51He was on his way persecuting the early church, murdering them
- 3:55and causing them to blasphemy God.
- 3:57And then all of a sudden God got a hold of him and God chose him
- 4:01to be an apostle and he walked in that calling and in the
- 4:04identity. This was not a self-made
- 4:07proclamation. This was not a title that he
- 4:10would have chosen. He was fine being a Pharisee of
- 4:13the Pharisees, friends in the school of Gamaliel and he was a
- 4:17learned educated man. And here he is.
- 4:20He is now deemed to be ignorant because he is trying to push a
- 4:29beaten, murdered, crucified man who claimed to be the Son of God
- 4:38to grace be to you and peace from God our Father and from the
- 4:42Lord Jesus Christ. So that is what Jesus is.
- 4:46It's grace and grace that abounds.
- 4:48When you come to the Lord Jesus Christ, you will get showered
- 4:51with grace and you can never outpace His grace.
- 4:55Friends three, blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord
- 4:59Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all
- 5:03comfort. That is what you find when you
- 5:05come to God Almighty as He comforts you friends, and it is
- 5:09knowing that you are in right standing with Him and that if
- 5:12you were to die today that you would spend eternity with Him is
- 5:16the greatest comfort that a human being could ever receive.
- 5:21And that is a picture of grace. And it is not by works that we
- 5:25are saved, but it is by the blood of Jesus Christ.
- 5:30And He chose us. Before the foundations of the
- 5:33earth. We were predestined friends, and
- 5:37He knows who belongs to Him, and He is going to get us and win us
- 5:43over to Himself, and we are already seated with Him in
- 5:47heavenly places. Friends, it is comfort and it is
- 5:51grace and it is blessings, for who comforts us in all of our
- 5:57tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any
- 6:01trouble by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of
- 6:05God. Do you see it, friends?
- 6:07Comfort, comfort and more comfort.
- 6:09And a lot of the persecutions and a lot of the things, the
- 6:14trials and tribulations and a lot of the situations that we
- 6:18are placed in, God allows in our lives so that when we're on the
- 6:22other side of it, we can look back.
- 6:25And as others are going through the same situations, we have the
- 6:29ability to comfort them. Look at how the Lord works.
- 6:33We are His hands and feet. And how would we know how to
- 6:36comfort those who are grieving? If we have not grieved, how
- 6:40would we know how to go through the things that other people go
- 6:47through if we have not gone through them, friends, if we
- 6:50cannot give them any kind of advice?
- 6:54That is why the Lord allows things in our lives to
- 6:58strengthen us so that we can turn and comfort others.
- 7:02Friends 54 As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our
- 7:09consolation also abounds by Christ.
- 7:12So you can see these two things getting played out, and we saw
- 7:15it in the last chapter of First Corinthians.
- 7:18You saw how you have these two points of conjecture, you have
- 7:24these two opposite extremes, and here you could see the
- 7:28sufferings and those with those sufferings.
- 7:32You find the tribulations, you find comfort for as the
- 7:38sufferings versifies for as the sufferings, our consolation
- 7:44abounds. So you can see that we are hard
- 7:48pressed, but we are not down and out.
- 7:53We might have to feel the pressures of this life, but we
- 7:57can take peace and we can have joy in the Lord.
- 8:02Friends, no matter if our bodies are riddled with diseases, If
- 8:05you have a court case that is coming up, if you have prison
- 8:09time, jail time, you can have this peace that the Lord offers
- 8:14to you and you can have contentment.
- 8:16Regardless of your external situation that you find yourself
- 8:21in, if you will come to the Lord Jesus Christ, you will find this
- 8:25comfort even in the extremities of persecution and of the
- 8:32violence and of death and disease.
- 8:35You can have comfort, friends. 6 And whether we be afflicted, it
- 8:40is for your consolation and and salvation which is effectual in
- 8:45the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
- 8:49Or whether we be comforted is for your consolation and
- 8:53salvation. Think about it, friends.
- 8:56How would we know how to lead others to Christ if we have not
- 9:02had our own salvation story of whenever we were in the pit of
- 9:07despair, whenever we had no hope and Christ came.
- 9:11And now we can use our stories, our testimonies, as a bold
- 9:17witness to those that we come in contact with.
- 9:20And it is for their great comfort, and it is to lead them
- 9:23to the Lord Jesus Christ. 7 And our hope of you is steadfast,
- 9:29knowing that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so
- 9:33shall you also be of the consolation.
- 9:37So he's saying, if you're suffering now, take part,
- 9:40because the joy comes in the morning.
- 9:42It is coming, and it is riding on the clouds, and all the
- 9:46angelic hosts are with him. And we will be comforted whether
- 9:50it happens in this life or in the next 8 For we would not,
- 9:56brothers, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in
- 10:01Asia, that we were pressed out of measure above strength, and
- 10:06so much that we despaired even of life.
- 10:08He's saying we have gone through some of the hardest things that
- 10:12a person could ever go through, and we still have maintained our
- 10:17hope. 9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we
- 10:24should not trust in ourselves, but in God, which raised the
- 10:27dead. That's the whole trick, Franz,
- 10:29is that you need to count the cost before you ever step into
- 10:32the service of God. You need to know that death is
- 10:35on the table. You need to understand that if
- 10:41you lose your life for His name sake, for the Gospel of Jesus,
- 10:47you will gain eternal life. What can mere man do to us if
- 10:53God is for us? Do not fear the one that can
- 10:56kill the body, but fear the one that can kill the body and cast
- 11:01your soul into hell. Friends, that is what you need
- 11:05to understand is we fear God and God alone and everything else
- 11:10bows to Him. 10 who delivered us from so great a death, and does
- 11:22deliver in whom we trust that He will yet deliver us.
- 11:26He is our deliverer, He is our Moses.
- 11:31We have passed through the Red Sea, we are in the wilderness,
- 11:36and we are pressing towards our eternal home, the land flowing
- 11:42with milk and honey. We are heading into the Promised
- 11:46land. Friends 11 You also helping
- 11:51together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by
- 11:55the means of many persons, thanks may be giving by many on
- 12:00our behalf. He's saying thank you so much
- 12:03for praying for us when we were in the lion's den.
- 12:07Thank you so much for praying for us when we were in the meat
- 12:10grinder. Friends.
- 12:11And you need to understand that spiritual work is of a very,
- 12:19very weighty measure. It is not just sitting and
- 12:26preparing a lesson. You are going into the darkest,
- 12:30hardest demonic places and you are being tormented.
- 12:33Even whenever you're doing all the things that the Lord has
- 12:38required of you. There is this sifting that
- 12:40happens that strengthens us, friends, and it is a very, very
- 12:46heavy thing. But his yoke is easy.
- 12:49His burden is light. If we will allow Him to carry
- 12:52the burden, we can go that extra mile. 12 for our rejoicing.
- 13:01Is this the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity
- 13:06and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace
- 13:11of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and
- 13:15more abundantly to you Word. So what is He saying here?
- 13:21He's rejoicing in the testimony that their conscience is clear,
- 13:26their conscience is clean, they have not wronged anybody.
- 13:30They have suffered for the name of Jesus Christ, and they know
- 13:35their reward is great. He's saying in simplicity, He
- 13:39did not yearn for more luxury. He did not yearn for any
- 13:44opulence. He did not yearn for any
- 13:47extravagance. He was completely content with
- 13:51the simplicity of life, the simple things, bread and water,
- 13:56friends. He did not have fleshly wisdom.
- 14:03He went with godly sincerity. Godly sincerity is much more
- 14:08valued than any kind of earthly wisdom.
- 14:11And you'll have a lot of people who are trying to push this
- 14:14earthly wisdom on you and it's shrouded and clouded in some
- 14:18kind of pseudo Christianity. But we need to stiff arm that we
- 14:26air and we go towards and move towards godly sincerity will
- 14:33take you much further in this life. 13 four.
- 14:38We write none other things unto you that that what you read or
- 14:44acknowledge and I trust that you shall acknowledge even to the
- 14:48end. So he's saying do not try to
- 14:51trust any extra biblical knowledge, any kind of extra
- 14:57biblical sayings. We need to trust in the Word of
- 15:02God and we need to be rooted and grounded in the complete
- 15:06authority of God's Word. More than the self help books,
- 15:11more than some kind of life coach.
- 15:15We need to be rooted and grounded in the Word of God, and
- 15:18that is all that we need to navigate this world to the end.
- 15:2414 As also you have acknowledged us in part that we are your
- 15:30rejoicing, even as you also are ours in the day of the Lord
- 15:35Jesus. So Paul and Timothy are writing
- 15:38to the Corinthians, and they're saying, You are our rejoicing,
- 15:43as I hope that we are yours. Think about this church that
- 15:47Paul himself founded, Friends. 15 And in this confidence I was
- 15:52minded to come unto you before, that you might have a second
- 15:56benefit, 16 and to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come
- 16:02again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my
- 16:08way toward Judea. 17 When I therefore was thus minded, did I
- 16:13use lightness, or the things that I purpose?
- 16:17Do I purpose according to the flesh that with me there should
- 16:22be Yeah, yeah, and no, no. So Paul is saying it was for
- 16:26your benefit that I did not come by there and correct you.
- 16:32If I would have come by there and corrected you when I had the
- 16:35mind to, it would not have been nice.
- 16:39And so he opted to not have to go and be the hammer.
- 16:44And he's saying that because he did not go when they had
- 16:48expected him. They were saying that Paul's
- 16:51word was not bond, that he would say yes, but he did not uphold
- 16:56the promise. And he would say no, but he did
- 17:00not mean what he said. What does he have to say?
- 17:0418 But as God is true, our word towards you was not.
- 17:09Yeah. And no. 19 For the Son of God,
- 17:13Jesus Christ, it was preached among you by us, even by me and
- 17:18Sylvanus. And Timothy was not.
- 17:20Yeah and no, but in in him was yes.
- 17:24So you remember that Jesus told us let your yes be yes and your
- 17:28no be no friends. And we need if we make a promise
- 17:33to somebody, if we make, if we tell somebody that we're going
- 17:36to do something, that is what we do.
- 17:39We do not go back on our word. And he's saying that in Christ
- 17:46all the promises are yes and Amen. 24 All the promises of God
- 17:53in him are yes, and in him Amen unto the glory of God by us.
- 17:59So you need to know that all of the promises from Genesis to
- 18:02Revelation are yes and Amen. And you can build your life upon
- 18:06it. You can bank on it, friends.
- 18:09It'll never go out of style. It's not Canon fodder, just
- 18:14paper friends. His promises are secure.
- 18:19His promises are going to actually happen.
- 18:25If he tells you something, that is exactly how it's going to
- 18:28happen. 21 Now he which establishes us with you in
- 18:35Christ and has anointed us is God.
- 18:38So God is the one doing all the establishing of these early
- 18:42churches. Friends, it is supernatural,
- 18:44miraculous, breakout and we're still here as a church 2000
- 18:50years later and the gates of hell will not prevail against
- 18:54US. 22 who has also sealed us and given the earnest of the
- 19:01Spirit in our hearts. So God gave us the Holy Spirit
- 19:05as a down payment. He gave it as a seal upon our
- 19:10hearts, friends that we know the Holy Spirit lives inside of us
- 19:14and we are going to be resurrected and we're going to
- 19:17have eternal bodies and we will be with Him forevermore.
- 19:21And right now we only see darkly and dimly, but then we will see
- 19:25clear friends and be known. 23 Moreover, I call God for a
- 19:36record upon my soul, that to spare you, I came not as yet
- 19:41unto Corinth. So Paul here is letting them
- 19:44know that it was for their benefit that he did not come to
- 19:48them when he had the mind to, because he would tear them
- 19:51apart. He would have went and he would
- 19:53have said something that he was going to regret perhaps, and he
- 19:57would have chastened them friends, and they weren't ready
- 20:01for it. And now because he took it light
- 20:04on them. Now they are thinking that He is
- 20:10someone who does not uphold His word, that He is going back on
- 20:15His word and he's saying no. Far be it that that is the case.
- 20:20It was for your benefit that I did not come.
- 20:23We'll end on 24 not for that. We have dominion over your
- 20:28faith, but are helpers of your joy, for by faith you stand.
- 20:36A servant either stands or falls by his master.
- 20:40And we belong. We are bond servants to Jesus
- 20:44Christ. We belong to Him.
- 20:46And we were bought with a real high price and we do not ever
- 20:50need to ever let man Lord over us.
- 20:55There is definitely a hierarchy and there is definitely
- 21:02authority that has been placed in our lives as the shepherds
- 21:06and if we belong to the flock, we need to place ourselves under
- 21:10that. But we do not need to let
- 21:13somebody else Lord over our faith.
- 21:18We serve God and God alone. Our salvation is is in Christ
- 21:22and Christ alone, and no man gets the credit for it.
- 21:28If someone refuses to go Jesus's way, we will not follow.
- 21:35We will only follow those that we see going in Jesus's way,
- 21:41friends, and he is the way. I pray that you've been blessed
- 21:45by this amazing chapter here in God's Word.
- 21:48I know I sure have. I'm praying for you and I love
- 21:54you. We'll see you back here
- 21:57tomorrow. God bless you.
