- 0:00Alright, Barbara, Bound Bound Banger Management Fantasy Hockey
- 0:05podcast. Woo woo woo.
- 0:10Nice welcome one and all 2 Bangor Management, The fantasy
- 0:15hockey podcast with your favorite hosts, the cool guys
- 0:19around town. Some like to call us.
- 0:22Nobody calls us that. Jake, Josh and Kevin.
- 0:25My dad called us that. That's true.
- 0:28It's true. We we have one guy who calls us
- 0:31that and we're we do love your dad.
- 0:32And we're not talking about Barkov.
- 0:34Talk about. The biological father.
- 0:36Rest in peace, Daddy. Good.
- 0:41I have to say it because. Every tours ACL just like me.
- 0:46Like father, like. Son 2 peas in a pod.
- 0:52OK, so today we have a really fun episode for you all.
- 0:56It's our first buy low sell high of this season for Week 3 of the
- 1:01Fantasy Hockey. Season, let's go.
- 1:03This is this is my personal favorite.
- 1:05I have a lot of fun diving into these and these can provide a
- 1:09lot of value. Especially this season also.
- 1:12Yeah, listen, who doesn't love trading in fantasy?
- 1:16I feel like no matter what fantasy sport you play, trading
- 1:19is always top of mind, is the most fun that you can have after
- 1:23the draft and you're always trying to pull one quick on your
- 1:26league mates as well. So in early season is the best
- 1:30time to do it I think because that's when everybody's
- 1:32overreacting from what they thought before the draft, they
- 1:34thought before the season. And then guys who go off in the
- 1:37first like 2-3 games and then you're like, Oh my God, we
- 1:39question everything. Was I wrong?
- 1:41Was I right? Yeah, 100%, yeah.
- 1:44I left early. And I love to trade, so I'm a
- 1:47great trade partner. The hustle never stops.
- 1:52OK, so yeah, let's dive into that.
- 1:55Before we begin, you could follow us on Spotify, Apple

- 2:17value there. We learn from you guys.
- 2:19We help you out as well, so it's really a win win for everyone
- 2:23and it's a lot of fun, so be sure to check that out if you
- 2:26haven't. Already, I was gonna say before
- 2:28we get into it, this is our first bio cell have the season.
- 2:31If you're new here and this is your first year rocking with us,
- 2:35we basically each pick one by low target, 1 cell, high target.
- 2:39So you get 6 names, 3 to target, 3 to sell for your week.
- 2:44And obviously we touch on other names as well.
- 2:46We give you targets, we give you names that you can try to snipe
- 2:48or try to get rid of. And that's part of the fun.
- 2:52We won't cover at literally every by law every cell high
- 2:55target, but we'll talk about most of them so.
- 2:58Gotta save something for next week.
- 2:59Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, alright, I'll dive in with
- 3:03my Bilo for this week. My choice for this week Bilo is
- 3:08Darcy Kemper of the LA Kings. So it's often a theme I think of
- 3:15of this segment for us that will end up choosing our own guys,
- 3:19guys on our team as bylaws. But I think it's because our
- 3:22self that's often it's just we have such a you have more of an
- 3:26eye on guys on your team cuz you're looking at what they do
- 3:28every single night. So sometimes the names just pop
- 3:30out at you from your own team. It's hard to resist.
- 3:32I'll try not to do it too often, but this week seemed like a big
- 3:35glaring one for me. So Kemper is off to an awful
- 3:37start. He's own three let in at least
- 3:40three goals in each game and sub 900 save percentage in each
- 3:44game. But it's hard to believe this
- 3:46Kings team will continue to be this bad.
- 3:47And if they are this bad, I can't imagine management not
- 3:50making a move to fix it because they are in win now mode.
- 3:54They're not trying to tank or anything crazy like that.
- 3:56They should finish top three in the division.
- 3:58So if we dive into the three games he has played, try to come
- 4:01up with a reason why that might not be just how he's gonna be
- 4:04for the whole season. First of all, he's played three
- 4:06of the hottest teams in the league in Colorado, Winnipeg and
- 4:08Minnesota. And five out of ten goals that
- 4:11he's allowed over the course of those three games were on the
- 4:13power play. So it makes sense for him to be
- 4:15a little worse than last year because they lost a good
- 4:17defensive defence spin and Gavrilov and replaced him with
- 4:21the worst defenseman in the league, Cody Ceci.
- 4:23But. There catching strees.
- 4:27Yeah, not to have too much shade, but but it's true.
- 4:30But he's not gonna continue to be this bad and he should still
- 4:32end up being a top 10 fantasy goalie this year.
- 4:34He was in our top ten in the offseason and one week is not
- 4:37enough for that to be tossed out the window.
- 4:39If you're leaks camper owner is freaking out right now.
- 4:41This is the perfect time to pounce and grab him for cheap.
- 4:43Or not necessarily cheap, but here are some targets that I
- 4:45think you can get Kemper for. That would be a good deal.
- 4:48I'm looking at UC Saros software Smoking hot starts out the
- 4:51season, but I don't think any of us really believe in the
- 4:53Predators resurgence. You've got Anthony Dollars,
- 4:56who's not off to the craziest start, but he is the starter for
- 4:59now. I do think Wall comes back at
- 5:01some point and I'm more comfortable having temper.
- 5:03And you've got Jeremy Swagman. I think of these three, he's off
- 5:06to a super hot start as well. But of these three teams, I
- 5:08think Boston might be the one where the lowest on either that
- 5:11or Predators. So that's another similar
- 5:12situation to Saros where they're often really hot start.
- 5:15But there's no way that Boston is going to finish higher than
- 5:17LA this year. So I think these are all good
- 5:19targets to get Kemper for. Yeah, completely agree.
- 5:22I'm with you there too, yeah. I was just gonna, I'm just gonna
- 5:25say like Kemper and this LA Kings team, like they will be
- 5:29top three in the division. They could win the division
- 5:31realistically. Now, if you played the three
- 5:34teams that you mentioned right off the bat, especially like
- 5:37when you start the season, everybody's kind of a little
- 5:39rusty too, like yourself finding your groove and you play through
- 5:41the hottest teams during that period, it's going to hurt.
- 5:44I think there's undoubtedly better days ahead for Kemper.
- 5:47He's still going to be a top 10 goalie.
- 5:49His efficiency metrics were so good last year, but people kind
- 5:52of hate them. Like they don't they don't
- 5:53believe in him. So if you're in your league, if
- 5:57the manager is kind of panicking and already wasn't somebody that
- 5:59believed in him too much like this is the perfect opportunity.
- 6:01And the targets of Josh listed our amazing.
- 6:05Yeah, I'm the highest, I think of everyone on LA.
- 6:09I think they're gonna be a really good team.
- 6:11They've got a very good roster and they're really kind of like
- 6:14a shutdown team as well. So I'm surprised that they've
- 6:16gotten off to such a close start with honestly so many high
- 6:19scoring games, especially goals against.
- 6:22Now, I I'm totally on the same page as both of you with regards
- 6:28to the resurgence happening and I'm not worried in the slightest
- 6:32now. Also, he's just kind of a boring
- 6:36name, a known commodity. I don't think anyone's super
- 6:41high on the name Kemper, but when it comes to the reliability
- 6:44and especially what he did last year which was exceeded
- 6:46expectations and then some, I think he's a fantastic by low
- 6:51and crazy. I totally agree that you can
- 6:53send all of these as a one for one and get Kemper back at this
- 6:56point. I would even add a little
- 6:58sweetener if necessary. For sure, for sure, because
- 7:02you're it's like highway robbery if you're able to pull that off.
- 7:05Yeah, agreed. Yeah, I really like it.
- 7:09Alright, Kevin, continue continue the trend of Bilos on
- 7:12our own teams. So listen, I think week 1 is the
- 7:15perfect opportunity to just look at your own fantasy team, look
- 7:18at who's underperforming. And if you realistically think
- 7:21that this is not going something that is going to continue, then
- 7:23we talk about it here. Because I drafted or Tammy
- 7:26Panarin in the second round of my 14 team league and he is
- 7:30currently the only healthy top three round pick on my roster
- 7:33after Brady could Chuck and Trocheck got hurt.
- 7:35So listen, I'm a big Panarin fan now, not in the past, but now.
- 7:41But there's there's a clear thing with Panarin.
- 7:43He started this season extremely slow.
- 7:45He's not shooting as much and his points, honestly, if you
- 7:48watch the games, they feel hard to get like they just the first
- 7:51couple of games with the Rangers did not look pretty.
- 7:53But you drafted this guy in the second round for a reason.
- 7:55He has an elite playoff schedule, arguably the best.
- 7:58He has a 4444 games in the quarters, in the semis and in
- 8:01the finals. It doesn't get better than that.
- 8:04You drafted a guy that has a 120 point ceiling.
- 8:07He hit that threshold just two years ago.
- 8:09Last year, obviously the Rangers completely fell off and that's
- 8:11really reason why there were all kind of suppressed in the draft
- 8:14this year. But he's playing with some elite
- 8:16talented guys and we're in the week in and week out.
- 8:22You know that you can get high production from him, but just
- 8:25thus far, you don't feel like you've kind of like capitalized
- 8:28on his draft, his draft value right now, like if you have
- 8:31Panera on your raw. So you feel pretty disappointed,
- 8:33especially when you see guys that got drafted in the 3rd,
- 8:354th, 5th round popping off like Matt Boldy, but he still getting
- 8:40his feet under him. Don't forget he was hurt in
- 8:42training camp. Him and JT both missed the weeks
- 8:45leading up to the season and that heavily influences, you
- 8:48know, your performance to start the year.
- 8:49If you missed training camp, you're gonna be rusty,
- 8:51especially when you're a little older.
- 8:53As the games progress, they've gotten better, He's gotten
- 8:55better. And I expect these next few
- 8:57weeks to really be like a show for Panera.
- 9:01And like, I think he's really going to turn up now that they
- 9:03don't have track. Like they need to rely on him
- 9:05more. Turn up, baby.
- 9:08I think realistically it takes A2 for one to get Panarin, but
- 9:12some one for one targets, depending on your league format
- 9:15and how deep it is, I think you can send guys like Philip
- 9:17Forsberg, Tage Thompson and Matt Boldy one for one for a Panera
- 9:21and in most of your leagues in somebody in our community told
- 9:26me earlier today that they were able to flip Pavel Dorothea for
- 9:29Artemi Panarin. Pavel Dora, I mean spoiler is
- 9:33going to be spoken about later, but he has started the season
- 9:36maybe harder than anybody drafted in the 14th round.
- 9:40After what like one week of of a sample size, you were able to
- 9:44flip them for a second round pick who is a shoe in for over
- 9:47100 points this season. It just feels like amazing
- 9:49value, can't pass it up. Yeah, this is a a really good
- 9:54one. I think it definitely ties in
- 9:56with the, I mean, all the whole Rangers team has been kind of
- 9:59garbage to start the season, right?
- 10:00I mean, it's only been like 3 games or four games.
- 10:02So nothing, nothing crazy to overreact just yet.
- 10:06Although that's what kind of this whole segment is about is
- 10:08how people overreact this early and how to take advantage of it.
- 10:11But it's not like Panarin's the only Ranger who's not doing
- 10:14well. I don't think there's a single
- 10:15Ranger doing well other than Fox and Chesterton right now.
- 10:17So J's not slowed down, Panarin slow and both of those guys,
- 10:22like you said, were injured starting the season or they
- 10:24missed as a preseason and it takes time to come back.
- 10:26So this is definitely a period where you can get them at a
- 10:30price exactly like at a good price.
- 10:32Exactly. Kevin said all the targets you
- 10:34said I think can get it done and I think those would be good
- 10:36ones. So yeah, no, I love this as a bi
- 10:38lo and I'm trying to buy them from you.
- 10:42It's funny how you put your targets.
- 10:44You included one from my team and one from Jake's team.
- 10:48Cool. You know, year in, year out, I
- 10:51think Panarin is criminally underrated for his production.
- 10:55And I say this because Once Upon a time, maybe it was like 4 or
- 10:59five years ago, I was able to trade.
- 11:02And as crazy as Dora Fav sounds, this is going to sound even
- 11:05crazier. I was able to trade Jeff Petry
- 11:08plus something somewhat insignificant in a points league
- 11:11for Panarin. How?
- 11:13Was that even possible? I believe, I believe upon their
- 11:18another reflection, it was that year with all the issues in in
- 11:22Russia. That would that would have I
- 11:26don't know remember this trade so.
- 11:27Like no, no, like this wasn't this league.
- 11:29This is still a points league. We're parents should even be
- 11:31more. Valuable.
- 11:32Better, yeah. Just the concept of being able
- 11:35to do that is ridiculous to me because Panera and has proven
- 11:38himself to be an elite point scorer in his whole career.
- 11:42He's never finished the season under a point per game and last
- 11:46year of the previous four or even 5 at where his worst points
- 11:51per game since joining the Rangers by far, directly
- 11:54coinciding with the Rangers taking a dip.
- 11:57This is not going to be as bad of a Rangers team this year as
- 12:00last year, despite the Trocheck injury.
- 12:02Yes, I think that's going to affect them in the meantime, so
- 12:06you may even be able to buy them at a bigger discount and a week
- 12:09perhaps. We'll see.
- 12:11Nevertheless, if this was Mitch Marner going through this slump
- 12:15with the hype of now playing with Michael, people wouldn't be
- 12:17as low on him as they are. Period.
- 12:18He doesn't get the respect he deserves and I still think he's
- 12:21an elite player that you'd be happy to have on your team.
- 12:27Alright, take us home with the with the trio of choosing our
- 12:30own guys. Yeah.
- 12:32So someone who I think Kevin should consider trading me
- 12:35Panera in four? So you kind of do trade
- 12:40negotiations in the middle of an episode, Yeah.
- 12:45You'll edit it out, wink. OK.
- 12:50Alright, my Bilo, hilarious that you pointed that out.
- 12:54Josh. It's all of the guys that we
- 12:55have on our individual teams. My bi Lo is the Tampa Bay
- 12:59Lightning Brandon Hagel. When I told Kevin that this was
- 13:03gonna be my bi lo, he asked and I quote, are you manifesting his
- 13:06bounce back because you have him in all your leagues?
- 13:09And the answer is yes, yes, I am.
- 13:10So I'm really hoping that me listening to you for your
- 13:15signature picks as they call it that.
- 13:18It anyway, yeah. I thought it was picture 6.
- 13:24Plot twist, yes. But yeah, I really do believe
- 13:28that he can have a huge turn around and it's going to happen
- 13:30very soon. In his three seasons with the
- 13:32Lightning, he's had 6475 and 90 points, and last year made his
- 13:37like be his high watermark. It's very possible. 90 points is
- 13:41elite. I still think that he can exceed
- 13:4380 despite the slow start. He's super important on this
- 13:47lighting team and I think that they're going to score a lot of
- 13:49goals. And I can't imagine there's any
- 13:51way that, you know, like he doesn't finish top four on four
- 13:56points on the team with Gensel point Kucherov and all these
- 13:59guys are going to be point for game plus Kucherov being maybe 2
- 14:03points per game. But yeah, if he's gonna be a
- 14:06point per game guy, I'm super confident as mentioned, and I'm
- 14:10concerned a bit with the shooting and he's not really
- 14:13producing at all in the peripheral category.
- 14:14So that's not looking good. But I think in a week or two
- 14:18he's going to revert to the 2.5 shots plus.
- 14:21And if you know, yeah, pretty much like the turn around should
- 14:26be very, very soon. And it's a perfect time to trade
- 14:29room. And he's even like, as I was
- 14:31saying, Panera doesn't get his flowers.
- 14:32Hagel, like Hagel, gets like wilted roses that.
- 14:37Were like stepped on. Like people?
- 14:40Do not. Associate Hagel with like any
- 14:42respect, honestly, and I think that the targets are very, very
- 14:47reasonable. So in my should I say my first
- 14:50one, Josh, or should I? Yeah, go ahead anyway, anyone
- 14:53does that, but. What?
- 14:56No, I'm just saying like, yeah, OK.
- 14:58Like I was OK. Anyway, I've got a Gunny Malkin
- 15:03because he's had a really, really hard start.
- 15:05Patrick Kane, which I think is more realistic.
- 15:09Pavel Durov, Phev and myself, haha, which we're going to talk
- 15:12about at some point soon. Yeah, I mean, I fully agree with
- 15:16the Hagel gonna turn this around, you know, just become,
- 15:20you know, put up a 90 point season without power, play 1 and
- 15:23then just, you know, stop doing everything.
- 15:25There's a lot of players like like it's such a small sample
- 15:28size that there's so many players that obviously this is
- 15:31not who they are after three games.
- 15:33I think the whole Tampa team, even Kucherov is off to a slow
- 15:35start. No ones doubting the control is
- 15:37going to be one of the top point guys in the league at the end of
- 15:39the year. So definitely too soon to be
- 15:40freaking out. Hegel created by load with how
- 15:42he started. I think that there's, I doubt
- 15:46the Hagel owner would trade him for some of these guys.
- 15:48I think you might be able to pull off to Ofev just because of
- 15:51how Nutty started and that would be absolutely like robbery.
- 15:55I highly doubt that you can get Hagel from Alexander Kane.
- 15:58But you know what, if someone will do that with you, then go
- 16:01for it because that's even more of a massive win.
- 16:03So I definitely like it a lot. Yeah.
- 16:05I mean, listen, Brandon Hagel was a signature pick for me.
- 16:08I clearly am one of the one of the top believers in this guy.
- 16:12I think the main thing with his value is always has always been
- 16:16the question of that P1, right? I think he doesn't necessarily
- 16:20have to have people one for him to return value on his draft to
- 16:23draft a cost, but definitely helps if he ends up getting it
- 16:27right. And I do believe at some point
- 16:28during the season he will get it right.
- 16:30Now it's been bad. We've been there a week, week or
- 16:33so into the season and it has not looked good.
- 16:35But already we saw he got bumped up the line one playing with
- 16:38Kutcher, Raven Point. And we saw Gensel, you know, get
- 16:41bumped down to line 2 playing with Cirelli.
- 16:43And Denzel has actually been thriving with Cirelli, like he's
- 16:45been going off himself. So that kind of leads me to
- 16:47believe that maybe this deployment and Gonzalez don't
- 16:50forget Gonsalves to believe that maybe Hagel does get a crack at
- 16:53sticking on that line, one which listen point and culture of our
- 16:57obviously like amazing, But being a third guy on that on
- 17:01that line doesn't hurt. And maybe that leads into maybe
- 17:04his getting P1 soon. You can be optimistic about
- 17:07these things. I think he's been so bad right
- 17:09now. And like Jackie said, the shots
- 17:11have been very worrying that you can buy low on him completely.
- 17:14I don't necessarily agree with the targets that Jake put as
- 17:17like trading Malkin for Hagel or Patrick Kane for Hagel.
- 17:20Like I don't think those get the deal done.
- 17:22I think Dora fave Apsolutno you can trade for Hagel, but the I'd
- 17:26I'd probably look at some more, let's say middle names then.
- 17:30Those guys to bring. It.
- 17:32Yeah, absolutely. I will try to break it for
- 17:35Hagel. OK, that's like a good one.
- 17:39I guess the the reason I put these guys, which seem crazy for
- 17:43people like us who are dialed in, but if you're not as dialed
- 17:47in as we are or the Discord community.
- 17:49I mean it's the last time you played fantasy is like 10 years
- 17:52ago. Then if getting Malkin and
- 17:53Patrick Kane are like some sickening.
- 17:56Right, right. But I mean like it's it's not to
- 17:59me like they've got a really had a really good start.
- 18:02They both did so and Hagel just really is not considered elite.
- 18:08Like I think if you pulled like 20 fantasy managers were like
- 18:13more casual than like super serious.
- 18:15And you ask them how many points Brandon Hagel got last year,
- 18:18most would say under 60. Like they just don't.
- 18:20There's not a flashy player like people forget that he was.
- 18:23He was over 90 exactly. I think you could trade like,
- 18:26what do you think, Matthew Neiser Hagel.
- 18:30I think you can get Hagel for for nice right now, take Hegel.
- 18:33Would you do chemo for Hegel? And everybody's talking about
- 18:37Timo right now because you got bumped up to PP1.
- 18:39We don't know if that's going to stick.
- 18:41We're of the belief that as soon as Steve and Nathan comes back,
- 18:43he gets slotted right back into his net front spot where team is
- 18:46playing right now. We've seen this in the past with
- 18:48Timo. If you can flip Timo Meyer for
- 18:50Brandon Hagel, even without the P1 for Hagel right now, I think
- 18:53that's a win. I like that a lot.
- 18:57Yeah, that'd be really, really cool, for sure.
- 19:01I was just aiming in like the lower echelon.
- 19:04But obviously I would still, yeah, these guys you mentioned,
- 19:06Kevin, I would still take Hagel over.
- 19:07So just haggle still pretty highly drafted.
- 19:09Like these guys that you listed were like double digit rounds.
- 19:12And I just feel like after a week or so into this season,
- 19:14like it's tough to. Yeah, I don't want to give away
- 19:17my cell high yet, but I'm gonna. We'll talk about that later.
- 19:22And I think that that's a good one.
- 19:25Tennessee, you'll all see. Let's start with Josh's sell
- 19:28high. All right, let's get into the
- 19:30cell highs, which unfortunately we don't have on our team right
- 19:34now, but that's all good. So my cell high for this week is
- 19:38Afghani Malkin, another year and once again Malkin is starting
- 19:43the season on our cell high list.
- 19:44Do you guys, are you guys getting Deja Vu from last year
- 19:47or if you? Have the same last year to
- 19:48start. The year he's been doing a great
- 19:50job for the past couple seasons of starting them super hot, but
- 19:53there's just zero chance he keeps it up just like last year,
- 19:56just like we said the entire time.
- 19:58And he would have been amazing sell high last year if he pulled
- 20:00it off because he completely tanked his value towards like
- 20:04the second-half of the season. So, so far he has five points in
- 20:06the first three games. But still doesn't offer much in
- 20:09terms of peripherals. His PowerPoint one spot isn't
- 20:11even a lock as we saw last year. And he's 39 years old on a
- 20:15terrible Penguins team. I wanna be surprised, honestly,
- 20:18if he's a drop in a few weeks. So if you get any value for him,
- 20:20I'd take it. Some targets that I'm looking at
- 20:22are Ricard, Raquel if you're looking at same team, Matt
- 20:25Barzel and Dylan Holloway, all guys who have started off pretty
- 20:28slow milking us at five points in three games.
- 20:31And I think that you might be able to pull off one of these
- 20:34and it would be a steal. Definitely Malkin has one of
- 20:37those names that like as soon as he starts doing well, people are
- 20:39like quick to believe that he's back.
- 20:41It's just like they know how good he was in the past.
- 20:43So as soon as he starts like off hot people are like, alright,
- 20:46like this is it mall comes back baby, but he is not back.
- 20:50He is not back at all. As soon as you see a stretch
- 20:54like this, if he happens to be on your roster, because if
- 20:56you're listening to this, you probably haven't been drifting a
- 20:58lot of Afghani Malkin. But if you somehow is on your
- 21:00roster like this is the perfect opportunity to trade him and the
- 21:04capitalize on moving up, moving up some value out for your team.
- 21:09Yeah, he's got the name. Like he he does have the name,
- 21:12and people get very excited. As Kevin mentioned, I'm a
- 21:15Holloway owner. There's no way I'd do this, but
- 21:17it's totally worth it because like I said, with Hagel, the
- 21:21banger management listeners are those who are really dialed in
- 21:24and easily, easily pull these trades off.
- 21:30These are realistic with 80% of your league.
- 21:33Mates, can I give you a few other names and see if you trade
- 21:37Malcolm for them? You're saying if I had.
- 21:40Yeah, if you if you had milk, would you trade him for Alexis
- 21:43Lafreniere? Yeah, for sure.
- 21:45Right. I feel that's, I feel that's an
- 21:46easy target. Like love got bumped up in
- 21:48deployment and hasn't necessarily put up points yet.
- 21:50I feel like that's a deal that could potentially get done.
- 21:53Yeah. Oh, I thought you said a few
- 21:56more names. I'm looking would you trade
- 21:59Malton for Owen Tippett? Yeah, 100%.
- 22:02That that that I'm less like inclined just because, you know,
- 22:07at least laugh as I feel like a more elite surrounding cast.
- 22:10But I'd probably still do it, yes.
- 22:12Another buy low target that I feel like nobody's really
- 22:14talking about is J Peterka. Yeah, I mean, we mentioned I
- 22:18think in our news episode that the entire Utah team is other
- 22:21than Gunther is underperforming. So yeah, that's another one.
- 22:24I mean, literally, like I wasn't exaggerating when I said that I
- 22:28think Malcolm could be a drop in a few weeks.
- 22:30So if you're getting anyone who's like a roster mainstay,
- 22:33then then I view that as a win. Absolutely agreed.
- 22:37I agreed. OK, Kevin, let's move on to your
- 22:40cell high. I mean, I think this is the cell
- 22:43high of cell highs right now. It doesn't get much better than
- 22:46this. But Pavel Dora, this is Mr.
- 22:50Goals. Do you remember in the off
- 22:52season we were just like talking about Dora Fav and one of our
- 22:55episodes leading up to the season and we were like, he's
- 22:58scored 35 goals last season and we were all kind of shocked that
- 23:02they did that number, but we were also like, he could do it
- 23:04again. Yeah.
- 23:06Three games in and he's got five goals. 0 is.
- 23:09Only like 30 to go. But he's got five goals, four of
- 23:14them on the power play, and is averaging 4 shots a game.
- 23:17It's early, but he was like a fourteenth round pick in almost
- 23:21every league in fantasy this season.
- 23:23And people like are quick to already like cement him as a
- 23:26stud on their roster. And listen, don't get me wrong,
- 23:29if I drafted in the fourth round in most of my leagues, I'd be
- 23:32thrilled right now. That is amazing value.
- 23:35He's probably going to be closer to like a 5th to 7th round pick
- 23:38in terms of like the value you're getting from that spot,
- 23:40which already is paying dividends.
- 23:43But if you can flip a 14th round pick for, you know, a top three
- 23:46round pick, now we're talking. And that's how you really
- 23:49bolster your team. Because I think, listen, he's
- 23:52going to score a lot of games, score a lot of games.
- 23:54He's gonna score a lot of goals, but he cannot keep this pace up.
- 23:59I this is the time to capitalize.
- 24:01If you can flip him for, you know, I, I don't wanna say
- 24:04Panarin because listen, I told you something.
- 24:05Our community already got that done.
- 24:07But I feel like that's kind of like unrealistic.
- 24:08And mostly, yeah, that's not. Unless it's in a package, but
- 24:11these are some other names that I would highly consider that
- 24:14could potentially get done in a one for one.
- 24:16I think Clayton Keller is an amazing target.
- 24:18Yeah, Kelly doesn't have the best playoff schedule, but if
- 24:21we're looking for immediate value, I feel like jumping up
- 24:23all those rounds to get the clean colour would be amazing.
- 24:26Celebrity hasn't had the hottest start yet.
- 24:28Like he's been good at face off wins, but mostly don't have face
- 24:31offs. But he's not shooting.
- 24:33He he's, he's not shooting at all.
- 24:35He has no hits, no blocks. So when you look at the game log
- 24:38and you pull up Pandora, if you have anything, you look at
- 24:40Celebrity, somebody could get tempted.
- 24:42Like if you're in a shallow league where centres are a
- 24:44little bit more devalued. I think that's completely
- 24:46feasible. I think Tage Thompson, if you
- 24:49can get Dora for tape, that'd be lit.
- 24:51And the OV, I think OV is a great target.
- 24:53That's like a power forward for your banger leagues.
- 24:56He hasn't had like a flashy start right now, so I think he's
- 24:58still in attainable name. I would slip for all of you.
- 25:01I think this is such a slam dunk of a cell high not to sometimes
- 25:07you see a cell high like you look at like the Malkin one that
- 25:09I mentioned and that's like get him off your team before he
- 25:11drops off and becomes useless. That's not the same situation
- 25:14here. Door fav is going to be good all
- 25:15year. I think we all kind of agree on
- 25:17that. Like 3540 goals I think is super
- 25:20doable for him. But like you said, when you
- 25:23could flip him for a truly elite guy, you got to do it.
- 25:25And I love all these targets. Would you trade him for Seth
- 25:28Jarvis? I would take Jarvis over door
- 25:32FEV. So if that if, yeah, if that's
- 25:33what you meant by it, then yeah. What I love about this is that
- 25:37there's like a few selling points.
- 25:39One, goals are harder to come by than it says.
- 25:41Now. He will get more goals than
- 25:43assists. He's not gonna get his pace of
- 25:45137 goals and 0 assists this year.
- 25:49That's not happening. Another thing, the other thing
- 25:55is that like a big flashy part of this is that he's playing on
- 25:58the power play with Eichel and Marner huge.
- 26:01And that's going to stick, I think.
- 26:02Yeah, I agree. I don't think he's getting
- 26:04bumped off. And frankly, if you I agree with
- 26:08Josh and like the realistic elements of it all, Keller is
- 26:11someone I'm more than happy with.
- 26:13But look on the celebrity owner, I'm listening to our bylaws all
- 26:18high episode, I'm not doing it. But if you're the celebrity
- 26:22owner, getting two shots over 2 games versus Dora faves 3008
- 26:26billion. Goals.
- 26:28I don't know I mean I think it's like worth a shot for sure.
- 26:32I even think question if you have Dora fav, would you send
- 26:36him Forest Lukovsky? No.
- 26:40No, I think I would take to our fav.
- 26:42Overself cause you. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:44OK. Do represented himself as like,
- 26:48I think he's in the same kind of range as like a cold coffield.
- 26:51Like he's he's in that range where he's going to get over
- 26:53three shots a game. He's a he's a killer for goals.
- 26:56He's one of the best power plays, I think.
- 26:59He's only like the only reason he didn't end up on like my team
- 27:03because of how late he went. Like I had my eye on him for
- 27:05rounds but two things was 1 he was injured and two was I didn't
- 27:09know if he had that spot on power play.
- 27:11One since he was injured when they releasing the power play
- 27:13ones, obviously he was never on them.
- 27:15So without properly one I think he loses most of his value.
- 27:19But since he has it and he's doing so well with it and it's
- 27:21not gonna lose it, that jumps him up to like such a high value
- 27:24guy. They were they were quick to put
- 27:25him up people you want. As soon as he was healthy, there
- 27:27was like 0 hesitation. They did not did not wait one
- 27:30second. That's why I'm really I'm
- 27:33convinced that he keeps that spot.
- 27:34I feel even. Would plan the whole time.
- 27:37Exactly. Even if they put a defensive
- 27:38back on there, I don't think he's the one that gets bumped,
- 27:40if I'm being real. So I think his deployment is set
- 27:43to stay. I think he's firmly entrenched
- 27:45as like a 1/5 or sixth round value if he was like draft day
- 27:49right now. And I think you can aim even
- 27:51higher. So Panarin also would be a great
- 27:55target. Listen, if I'm the Panarin
- 27:56owner, if somebody sent me like Dora PHEV plus like, I'm highly
- 27:58considering that. It's got to be a generous plus
- 28:01though, and you should do that. If you're for sure, for sure,
- 28:03but I'm obviously I'm, let's say more research than the average
- 28:07person, but I'm imagining myself in like somebody else's shoes
- 28:10that like has been on their team and like he's the only one
- 28:12that's not performing. Or you know, your other studs
- 28:14are doing well but not in there. And like, I can see somebody
- 28:16being in a mindset to make that slip.
- 28:20Yeah, shoot for the stars with this one because of how well
- 28:22he's doing. Yeah, you like not, not trying
- 28:25to get him off your roster completely, but it's just like
- 28:26such an amazing opportunity to really capitalize on that value.
- 28:29Yeah, it's good time to say that he's still may be the steal of
- 28:32the draft. Or my. 14th round pick.
- 28:35He's going to be the best. He's going to be the best record
- 28:38draft. Yeah, and it doesn't mean that
- 28:41you're dying to get rid of them, keep them around.
- 28:44Even if he goes through a little slump.
- 28:46Like I think he's going to be really good for shots angles,
- 28:48but chances are this is the highest value is going to be all
- 28:51year just because it's so ridiculous, so solemn.
- 28:54If you can for something better and make it as elite as you can.
- 28:57My sell high who's also shaping up, as I said to be the steal of
- 29:02the draft is of the Boston Bruins line one power play 1.
- 29:08Where did that come from? Sort of predictable, yet not
- 29:11really Elias Lindholm. And there's, you know, I think
- 29:17both him and Dora Fev are the two glaring cell highs.
- 29:22But to me, Lindholm is really, really fitting that mold,
- 29:26especially for Bangor leagues. He's the perfect combination of
- 29:29good deployment, decent name value, opportunity and playing
- 29:32with an elite player. But when it's all said and done,
- 29:35there's no way this pace is going to be continued all year.
- 29:39He did have some solid pregame like season end this like he's
- 29:44had good seasons in the past, but at this point in his career,
- 29:48I don't see him being anything more than a solid defensive
- 29:50player. I don't like maybe
- 29:52controversial, especially to the Lynn homeowner, so sorry if
- 29:55offended you. But moving on.
- 29:58I'm still quite low on the Bruins as we all are.
- 30:01And at the time of their recording, their second place in
- 30:05the league and they're tied for third most goals per game
- 30:08because we love to say on the buy low sell high episodes, this
- 30:10is clearly not sustainable. The one thing I will say is the
- 30:13Bruins in general, as Kevin has mentioned many times, it's not
- 30:17in their DNA to be a rebuilding team.
- 30:20So you gotta learn home with good deployment, 15 minutes and
- 30:23nights so far. It is suggested that he's going
- 30:25to stay on line one power play one for most of the year.
- 30:28But I would still try to capitalize on his production
- 30:31because it's super, super amazing right now in Bangor
- 30:34leagues. It's unbelievable, especially if
- 30:36you have phase offs. But I firmly believe that this
- 30:38is going to be his season high value and he was, you know, on
- 30:43waivers for a decent chunk of the year last year even in our
- 30:46league, which is a very deep anger console league.
- 30:48So something worth something worth noting.
- 30:52I think some good targets are my aforementioned Bylow, Brandon
- 30:56Hagel, Lane Hudson, Elias Peterlin Peterson and Andreas
- 31:04Fechner Kov. Yeah, I, I love it.
- 31:08I mean, Lindholm's off to an absolutely nuts start.
- 31:10I think something that's notable about his start is not just the
- 31:12points, but also the shots have been really, really good.
- 31:16He, that's not the type of player he is that kind of came
- 31:19out of out of nowhere this season to start with.
- 31:21And I don't expect him to suddenly become a player who's
- 31:23shooting four shots a game after being like 1.5 last year.
- 31:27He will be great for faceoff wins.
- 31:29He'll be, you know, he could be like 1.2 hits and blocks and
- 31:34maybe two shots and like like he's not the type of guy I think
- 31:37is going to drop off and become a waiver player essentially, but
- 31:40he's not gonna be anywhere near what he's doing right now.
- 31:42Completely agree. And I love the targets he but I
- 31:45think it's a similar situation in Dorfe where they're starting
- 31:47off so, so hot and they're still gonna have value throughout the
- 31:50year, but it's not gonna be this high.
- 31:51So if you could turn them into someone who is just clearly a
- 31:55tier above, but right now is playing way worse than it's a
- 31:58great call. So I like it a lot.
- 32:00Yeah, I mean, I I think Lindholm is a great IRL centre, but we
- 32:05saw this happen last year. Like I dropped in the Lindhome
- 32:08last year and he started pretty, pretty like pretty good.
- 32:11And you look at the deployment line 1P1, he's playing with
- 32:14David Pasternak. So already the foundation is set
- 32:17for him to have. And Morgan.
- 32:19Yeah, absolutely right that. Josh is.
- 32:22Josh has more details, so he's pretty high, but already like
- 32:27the deployment and the exposure to elite talent is there.
- 32:29So you're like, OK, he has everything that's necessary to
- 32:32be an elite fantasy asset, but last year really didn't come
- 32:35together. Like you said, the biggest, the
- 32:37biggest difference is here is the shots.
- 32:38Like he's not a guy that shoots like over 2A game.
- 32:40Like he will hover around there. And I think this year he will be
- 32:43better than he was last year. Like Boston was atrocious last
- 32:46year. There will be a bad team, but
- 32:48there will still be better than they were last year.
- 32:50So I think there's a lot of upside, but you have to trade
- 32:53him like he's been so good. And I really think that you can
- 32:56capitalize on the value right now.
- 32:57And also you can use the fact that Boston has liked the ranges
- 33:00the best playoff schedule, like they have a 4444 games in the
- 33:03quarter, semis and finals if you're if you have a week 24
- 33:07championship. So I really think that this.
- 33:10Is a 20. 323 championship sorry, so this is the time to sell.
- 33:14I even think that my co-host disagree with me, but I feel you
- 33:17can flip Lindholm for Robert Thomas and I think you can get
- 33:21that done because he was so highly drafted.
- 33:23But he has also started this season pretty slow.
- 33:25He's not a shot kind of guy either, but you expect that he
- 33:27gets like over 80 points. I feel that's a great flip if
- 33:30you're able to make it happen. That would be amazing.
- 33:33If you could pull it off, it's great.
- 33:36Yeah, we spoke about that in our news episode a little bit, so
- 33:40we're not gonna elaborate too much, but that is like the
- 33:44absolute dream. That's to me if you can really
- 33:48do something like that, Even Lynn Home Plus I mean I think
- 33:53Thomas is going to be a 90 point guy and Lindholm 60, which would
- 33:58be good, like really good, better way better than I thought
- 34:02before the season started. And again, this doesn't mean
- 34:05like you gotta sell him to sell him.
- 34:07It just means you should sell him high because the one thing
- 34:10Josh you mentioned very similar to Dora Fav.
- 34:12Totally agree with everything you're saying except Dora
- 34:15doesn't have the name value in home has.
- 34:18You know what I mean? Lynn Holmes got this incredible
- 34:20name value because this production on Calgary and also
- 34:22he has a cousin whatever was in the league.
- 34:26So the the Lynn homes are quite ubiquitous around the NHL.
- 34:30And to me, I just I really think that there's a lot of reasons
- 34:34that you can sell him and get tremendous value.
- 34:37I didn't even think about putting Thomas because it was so
- 34:39ridiculous. But the more I think about it,
- 34:41Kevin, I think you're right. So you know if it's.
- 34:44One of the most flashy name either, and he's, yeah, tourists
- 34:47are not being a stat stuffer. So when you see all those heroes
- 34:50in the game log and you pull up Lynn home like, it's
- 34:52tantalizing. For sure for sure.
- 34:54Alright this was awesome. Our first buy low sell high of
- 34:59the fantasy hockey season. Thank you to everybody for

- 35:45like you do your own research, but it's like it's nice to have
- 35:47some people just give you a list of players and you're like, OK,
