- 0:01Speaker 1: Jeremy, Katie, and Josh.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Fix 100.
- 0:03Speaker 3: There is this story out this morning talking about how
- 0:06Speaker 3: malls are starting to charge for the best parking spots,
- 0:10Speaker 3: and people are hating it.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't go to Cherry Creek because of that.
- 0:13Speaker 4: Right.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I don't.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Man, everyone was pissed when they started doing that.
- 0:18Speaker 3: But I guess malls all across the country are still
- 0:21Speaker 3: looking to do preferred or premium parking.
- 0:25Speaker 4: They're roping off certain spots. Yeah.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Specifically, they're targeting this mall in New Jersey right now. $ 2. 45
- 0:34Speaker 3: for the first hour at these spots, $ 2 each additional hour,
- 0:39Speaker 3: and a maximum of $ 10. 45 per day. So if you
- 0:43Speaker 3: park there for a long time, it's going to cost
- 0:44Speaker 3: you like $ 11. Now, they say it is all about convenience,
- 0:48Speaker 3: whether you're running in for one thing, meeting somebody for
- 0:52Speaker 3: lunch in the food court. Or you just don't want
- 0:56Speaker 3: to hunt for that parking spot. It is additional revenue
- 0:58Speaker 3: for the mall. They point to the real estate there,
- 1:02Speaker 3: the real estate that is the parking lot. Think about
- 1:05Speaker 3: what it costs to maintain them, light them, plow them,
- 1:10Speaker 3: secure them. That money's got to come from somewhere, and
- 1:13Speaker 3: they're thinking that this money can come from the premium
- 1:16Speaker 3: parking spots.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Yeah, charge people more for a place they aren't going
- 1:20Speaker 2: to anymore.
- 1:21Speaker 1: That's smart. I know. That's a really good deal right there.
- 1:23Speaker 4: I don't know about that.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Our good friends over at Park Meadows Retail Resort, that
- 1:26Speaker 3: place is packed all the time.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Well, they don't charge for parking.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Packed all the time, though.
- 1:30Speaker 1: They don't charge, though.
- 1:31Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. They got valet.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Yeah, but again, that's like if you want to drive
- 1:36Speaker 2: your car up and then they park it for you,
- 1:38Speaker 2: that's different.
- 1:39Speaker 4: That's a service that I'm into. That is different.
- 1:41Speaker 1: If you're willing to do that, then.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:44Speaker 3: You roll over there on a weekend and it's wall-to-wall
- 1:47Speaker 3: cars front to back. I kind of like the two
- 1:50Speaker 3: bucks or whatever. If I'm just there for an hour,
- 1:52Speaker 3: it's worth two bucks for me.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Because it brings you to the front row right away.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Right away.
- 1:56Speaker 3: And especially if you're a mom with a bunch of
- 1:58Speaker 3: kids and your hands are full with strollers and all
- 2:00Speaker 3: that crap.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Shoot, am I into this now? I'm into it.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Two bucks to be up close with a van full
- 2:05Speaker 4: of kids?
- 2:06Speaker 2: No.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Hells to the yes.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I already park far away so I can get my
- 2:09Speaker 2: steps in. That's something I do already. So I don't
- 2:12Speaker 2: need to park close. I just feel like they're asking
- 2:15Speaker 2: the wrong people to pay for parking.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 2:18Speaker 3: If you've got some extra cash, it might be worth it.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I got to ask you, is that tanning place that
- 2:22Speaker 3: you go to in a mall?
- 2:24Speaker 1: No, no, no, no.
- 2:25Speaker 2: It's just a regular little building. They don't ask you
- 2:28Speaker 2: to pay for parking. I did go there yesterday though.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I did go there and I came across the lovely
- 2:34Speaker 2: young lady who does my tan and I cannot remember
- 2:38Speaker 2: her name. This has happened to me for weeks now. Like,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I cannot remember this poor woman's name. And I am like,
- 2:45Speaker 2: I try and do the trick where I go through
- 2:46Speaker 2: the alphabet. I'm like, is it an A?
- 2:48Speaker 1: Is it a B?
- 2:49Speaker 4: Is it a C?
- 2:50Speaker 2: I even asked her the first time I met her,
- 2:52Speaker 2: I try and do this trick where I'm like, can
- 2:54Speaker 2: you spell your name for me? Especially if it's a
- 2:56Speaker 2: unique name, that way I can get a visual in
- 2:58Speaker 2: my brain and that helps me retain it a little better.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Didn't help in.
- 3:02Speaker 2: This case because I cannot remember this poor woman's name.
- 3:05Speaker 2: So I'm sitting there and I'm just like, Gosh, do
- 3:08Speaker 2: I call the owner and ask her? I feel really
- 3:10Speaker 2: sheepish if I do that, you know? No name tag
- 3:13Speaker 2: or anything? Then it hit me. You know what I'm
- 3:16Speaker 2: going to do? Instead of paying for the tip with cash,
- 3:20Speaker 2: I'm going to ask her for her Venmo.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Genius.
- 3:25Speaker 4: I figured it out.
- 3:26Speaker 2: So I tipped her through Venmo and I figured out,
- 3:29Speaker 2: what up, Lene?
- 3:30Speaker 1: There it is. Now I know her name and I
- 3:33Speaker 1: just was, I felt so.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Lene all day.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I felt so smart in that moment. I was like...
- 3:38Speaker 1: look at you, a problem arose. You found a solution.
- 3:44Speaker 1: You took it.
- 3:44Speaker 2: We came out strong on the other end of this situation.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I was just very proud of myself in that moment
- 3:49Speaker 2: because I forget people's name all the time. And so
- 3:53Speaker 2: this little trick, I just say, hey, can I give.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You a dollar?
- 3:57Speaker 2: I don't know how I'm going to get around it
- 3:59Speaker 2: in the future. But for this moment where I needed
- 4:02Speaker 2: to tip her, it worked perfectly. But If you ever
- 4:05Speaker 2: come across that and you can't remember somebody's name, just
- 4:09Speaker 2: ask for their Venmo.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Can I send you a dollar?
- 4:11Speaker 4: We don't have it. I don't have Venmo, though.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I like you so much, I want to send you
- 4:14Speaker 1: a dollar.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Like, what's your name? What's your phone number? And then
- 4:17Speaker 2: it'll tell you their name. Or you can just scan it.
- 4:20Speaker 2: You know, people just.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Give you their Venmo. Yeah, yeah, a little QR code.
- 4:23Speaker 4: You scan it.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Gee, I'm just telling you.
- 4:25Speaker 4: That's good.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I have a fake name in my Venmo, so that
- 4:27Speaker 3: wouldn't work for me. You have a fake name?
- 4:31Speaker 4: I do.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I don't have my name in my Venmo. I use
- 4:34Speaker 3: a fake name because you can change your profile name.
- 4:36Speaker 4: To anything you want.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Why would you do that?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Privacy.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I know there's privacy settings as well, which I've got
- 4:44Speaker 3: those locked down, but I just do it as a
- 4:47Speaker 3: privacy thing so nobody can go on there and find me.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Your whole life is broadcasted to people.
- 4:51Speaker 3: I know, so that's why there's little chunks of my
- 4:54Speaker 3: life I want private.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Your Venmo account, that's it for you?
- 4:57Speaker 4: That is it for me so nobody can get on there.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Learn something new. I know, right?
- 5:02Speaker 3: Now, is this going to be a problem if you
- 5:05Speaker 3: go back in and you don't remember her name for
- 5:07Speaker 3: the Venmo?
- 5:08Speaker 4: I guess you can go into recents, right?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Here's the thing for me now. I've been so embarrassed,
- 5:13Speaker 2: and this has been such a thing for me. I
- 5:15Speaker 2: will not forget this person's name. I see it in
- 5:17Speaker 2: my brain. I see how she spells it. She spells
- 5:21Speaker 2: it uniquely. Um, and so I will, this is something
- 5:23Speaker 2: I will hang on to for the rest of my life.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I'll probably wake up in the middle of the night.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Your neighbors are like, what is going on over there?
- 5:35Speaker 4: Um, I didn't know this, but I guess Katie's been
- 5:37Speaker 4: talking with the devils.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Well, no, it's a trend on Tik TOK where, you know,
- 5:43Speaker 2: where you ask chat GPT, a prompt, And then it
- 5:46Speaker 2: spits something back out and you post it on TikTok
- 5:49Speaker 2: and everybody.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Talks about it.
- 5:51Speaker 2: The latest one is you ask chat GPT, say this
- 5:54Speaker 2: to it. The devil hugged me and started crying. I
- 5:58Speaker 2: asked him, why are you crying?
- 6:00Speaker 1: He whispered.
- 6:01Speaker 2: And then whatever chat GPT tells you is what you post.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Oh, it is intense.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Is this going to give me all sorts of like
- 6:06Speaker 3: weird satanic content now in my chat?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Honestly, it makes you feel a little bit about like,
- 6:11Speaker 2: second guessing your own choices as a person.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Josh, you go first. Oh, heck no.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I got mini Jesus over here with me. No, no, no, no.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I didn't think Josh would just jump on this trend
- 6:22Speaker 2: at all, but I did. I asked it and it said,
- 6:26Speaker 2: he whispered, because everyone blames me for the darkness, but
- 6:29Speaker 2: no one ever asks who turned off their own light.
- 6:33Speaker 1: This is very deep. It goes deep.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I mean, I thought it was just going to be
- 6:37Speaker 2: some kind of entertaining, funny kind of thing.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Me too.
- 6:40Speaker 2: But the responses that people are getting are a lot
- 6:43Speaker 2: like that. Like, somebody posted, he whispered, because I gave
- 6:50Speaker 2: you all the pieces to build your own paradise, and
- 6:53Speaker 2: you used every single one to craft your personal hell.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Like, weird.
- 6:58Speaker 1: We're doing it wrong, apparently.
- 7:00Speaker 4: All right, I'm going to bite.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:02Speaker 3: The devil hugged me and started crying. I asked him,
- 7:05Speaker 3: why are you crying? He whispered, dot, dot, dot.
- 7:08Speaker 4: All right, it's thinking.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:12Speaker 4: What did it say?
- 7:13Speaker 3: Mine says, because I've spent my whole life trying to
- 7:16Speaker 3: ruin people, and you're doing a better job than I
- 7:19Speaker 3: ever could.
- 7:20Speaker 4: What the frick?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Coming for you.
- 7:27Speaker 2: What?
- 7:28Speaker 1: Coming for Jared today. I hate this trend.
- 7:32Speaker 3: You're doing a better job than I ever could? Screw you,
- 7:37Speaker 3: Chad GPT. I'm going to say that and see what
- 7:39Speaker 3: it says. Screw you, ChatGPT.
- 7:41Speaker 1: What does it say?
- 7:42Speaker 2: What does ChatGPT say to you?
- 7:47Speaker 1: ChatGPT don't play Jerry.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Fair.
