- 0:25Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, The World
- 0:29Green Economy Summit has spent 12 years turning
- 0:33the green economy into a pillar of sustainable
- 0:36growth. And it is a platform that bridges policy,
- 0:41finance and technology, vision and implementation.
- 0:46The summit is organised by the Dubai Supreme
- 0:49Council of Energy, the Dubai Electricity and
- 0:52Water Authority and the World Green Economy Organisation.
- 0:58The numbers back it up. Global energy transition
- 1:01investment reached US $2 .3 trillion in 2025,
- 1:08up from US $1 .8 trillion just two years earlier.
- 1:14And in the Middle East and North Africa, operational
- 1:17renewable capacity now stands at 43 .7 gigawatts,
- 1:22while projects under development exceed 200 gigawatts.
- 1:27This is clearly a growing economic force, not
- 1:30a passing trend, and it needs faster implementation,
- 1:34broader partnerships, and stronger frameworks.
- 1:38Which brings us to the 12th edition of the World

- 1:51under the theme, From Success to Scale. showcasing

- 2:08security, and finance. Alongside three cross
- 2:14-cutting themes, artificial intelligence, governance,
- 2:18and system enablers, including supply chains
- 2:22and the circular economy. And, as His Excellency
- 2:27concludes, the question is no longer whether
- 2:30the green transition is possible, but how it
- 2:34can be accelerated, scaled up and extended across
- 2:39sectors and societies, transforming sustainable
- 2:43impact from aspiration into reality for present
- 2:48and future generations alike.
