- 0:00Speaker 1: M one of the great things that doing this show
- 0:46Speaker 1: in this fashion, uh. One of the things I love
- 0:51Speaker 1: about it is being able to do it from wherever
- 0:52Speaker 1: we want. You know, Trey, you're in Dallas. I'm currently
- 0:56Speaker 1: in Seattle because the weather's really nice here. And I
- 0:58Speaker 1: know you don't want to hear that, but it is.
- 1:01Speaker 1: And Roger, you're stuck in his feet. That's a u
- 1:03Speaker 1: issue that you have to figure that out on your own.
- 1:06Speaker 2: But I was in Wichita this morning, so I'll take
- 1:08Speaker 2: them skip every day.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Oh God. But there are downsides to being a professional nomad,
- 1:18Speaker 1: which is kind of what I am now, and that
- 1:21Speaker 1: is you're not always guaranteed the quality of the place
- 1:25Speaker 1: that you stay. Right. What I'm talking about is we
- 1:30Speaker 1: are in our airbnb. It's actually through a different company
- 1:33Speaker 1: called Furnished Finder. It's for like medium term rentals. The
- 1:36Speaker 1: only reason I mentioned that is because maybe if they'd
- 1:38Speaker 1: like to come on and advertise, we'd be happy to
- 1:40Speaker 1: have them. That being said, I may ruin them here.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Just briefly.
- 1:43Speaker 1: The place we're staying in Seattle from Furnished Finder is
- 1:45Speaker 1: very nice. We like it, we enjoyed it's comfortable, and
- 1:48Speaker 1: it's in a great location, everything we were looking for. However,
- 1:51Speaker 1: we think it's haunted. And by we I mean my wife. Okay,
- 1:55Speaker 1: but as you guys know, if you're in a relationship
- 1:57Speaker 1: long enough, she becomes.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:02Speaker 1: So if she thinks the airbnb is haunted, then were haunted?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Right? Why what's happened?
- 2:10Speaker 2: I mean just.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I think they're like, it's just like the bat thing
- 2:15Speaker 3: where she you know.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Well, the bats were real, tray I had, I had
- 2:19Speaker 1: at land on my chest.
- 2:23Speaker 3: You may have a ghost taken up on it. You
- 2:29Speaker 3: chest may have a big bull's eye. I don't know.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I'm just saying, is that like maybe there's a ghost fetish.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Look, the bats were real, Okay, that was a real thing.
- 2:38Speaker 4: So you're saying so you're saying, yeah, your wife is
- 2:40Speaker 4: full of it and it's not haunted.
- 2:43Speaker 1: No, God, no, I'm not saying that at all.
- 2:45Speaker 3: You're saying the bats are real. You're being very specific
- 2:48Speaker 3: at that.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So what's because it laided on a chest? Now when
- 2:52Speaker 1: it comes to being haunted, Now, I haven't necessarily felt anything,
- 2:57Speaker 1: or I haven't had to bundle one up in a
- 2:59Speaker 1: trash bag and take it outside like I did with
- 3:02Speaker 1: the bat. But there have been a few weird things,
- 3:07Speaker 1: and and so I don't want to completely dismiss my
- 3:09Speaker 1: wife's feelings. That would be bad. But some of the
- 3:12Speaker 1: things that have happened here in the airbnb that leads
- 3:16Speaker 1: her slash me to think that it's haunted. The bedroom
- 3:21Speaker 1: door keeps closing on its own, well, like she'll leave
- 3:26Speaker 1: it open and come back and it's closed. Also, the
- 3:29Speaker 1: bathroom door was closed after she left it open. The
- 3:32Speaker 1: kitchen cabinet was opened after she left it closed, opening
- 3:36Speaker 1: the bedroom curtains while we're asleep. Terror feels like that's happened. Also,
- 3:45Speaker 1: there was a there's a there's a mystery tampon in
- 3:47Speaker 1: the bathroom that we didn't bring.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Okay, Dan as the resident recovering alcohol, like what you
- 4:02Speaker 4: more like a bender than it does a haunting.
- 4:08Speaker 2: You guys should stop drinking during the day.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Let's go on, Gray, How drug do you think I
- 4:13Speaker 1: gotta be to venture into tampon territories? I mean, I'll
- 4:21Speaker 1: give you, I'll give you credit by saying all these
- 4:25Speaker 1: things that Tara has supposedly witnessed that she thinks a
- 4:28Speaker 1: ghost is doing good stuff that I just do regularly,
- 4:31Speaker 1: which is lead doors openly, cabinet doors open, randomly, closing
- 4:36Speaker 1: a door here and there. But I've I've I've not yet.
- 4:40Speaker 2: But you but you know the part of the story
- 4:42Speaker 2: where you guys are just white, like you're still staying there.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Well yeah, yeah, see that's the white part of you.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Well look at.
- 4:55Speaker 3: What does that have to do with race?
- 4:57Speaker 6: It's why if I knew I closed about from the
- 5:00Speaker 6: door and or left the door open, and I came
- 5:05Speaker 6: back and the door was shut, I move. I don't
- 5:07Speaker 6: live there now. Yeah, but you cabinets, shower curtains. I
- 5:13Speaker 6: don't know what you're I don't know what you're waiting
- 5:15Speaker 6: for it. I don't know what part of the ghosts is. Like,
- 5:18Speaker 6: hey man, I've warned you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing. Let's let's entertain this. Let's say
- 5:25Speaker 1: that it is a ghost, that it's a ghost, and
- 5:29Speaker 1: what's it done. All it's done was close a couple
- 5:31Speaker 1: of doors open, a open a curtain here and there,
- 5:34Speaker 1: and done something with a tampon that we didn't bring. That.
- 5:37Speaker 1: That's the only weird part of me. Nothing's gotten dangerous.
- 5:40Speaker 1: There's no scratches, there's no screaming, there's no climb, there's
- 5:43Speaker 1: nothing that I've seen in any films that has me worried.
- 5:47Speaker 1: There's no there's no little girls running around with axes yet.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yet that's why I love this man.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So it's not a matter. So it's it's not a
- 6:02Speaker 1: matter of if.
- 6:03Speaker 3: But when yeah sounds like yes.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I'm just I mean, if you're waiting for it, it's
- 6:09Speaker 2: telling you to leave.
- 6:11Speaker 1: How is it telling me to leave?
- 6:13Speaker 6: It's like I'm telling you to leave now, and you,
- 6:18Speaker 6: guys just just be white.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Have you ever in your life walked into a room
- 6:23Speaker 3: and seen a tampon and go, I want to stay here?
- 6:29Speaker 2: This is my house now.
- 6:33Speaker 1: To be fair, this is the first for me all
- 6:35Speaker 1: the way around. I've never gone into a place where
- 6:38Speaker 1: there's been a random mystery tampon. So I don't know
- 6:40Speaker 1: if that if that's supposedly a ghostly warning.
- 6:46Speaker 2: But you've been to a place where the door shut randomly.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Allegedly allegedly, I mean, yes, yes.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Yes, Oh, so you're saying she's making it up?
- 6:58Speaker 1: No, no, do no, do no, don't you dare tell her? No,
- 7:03Speaker 1: don't you tell her? I said that.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I can see the mirror behind you. I know
- 7:06Speaker 2: she's I know where she's at. So you're saying she's lying.
- 7:12Speaker 1: No, I believe that she believes what she's saying.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I believe.
- 7:19Speaker 2: You know, you're not on trial, right, that's only.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Like, No, you're right, I'm not on trial because if
- 7:26Speaker 1: I was on trial, i'd have rights.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Okay, So you're not. You're not scared of the place.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I'm not, No, I mean because I look at it.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I'm looking at it from a stereotypical male point of view,
- 7:44Speaker 1: which is logical.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Why are you laughing at me when I say that?
- 7:51Speaker 3: I'm just thinking that's gonna be a great promo. Just that.
- 7:58Speaker 2: O' wa.
- 8:00Speaker 1: The worst thing that even if it even if this
- 8:02Speaker 1: place is haunted, what's the worst thing that's happened That
- 8:05Speaker 1: it opened up a cabinet door.
- 8:08Speaker 2: So here's what I'm trying to say, is something that
- 8:12Speaker 2: has no actual like body parts has opened a door.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And you're okay with that?
- 8:20Speaker 3: I in my you know, because think about like Ghostbusters
- 8:23Speaker 3: and the green thing that slimed everyone. Now you throw
- 8:26Speaker 3: that tampon in the mix, you don't know what's coming next.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You do touch on something that I am concerned about,
- 8:36Speaker 1: which is that I've what what what type of spook needs?
- 8:41Speaker 1: A tampon.
- 8:43Speaker 3: One with TMS.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Maybe, so maybe maybe I should leave because imagine my
- 8:54Speaker 1: face if that thing's come, if that thing comes floating.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Down the whole way, Ray's not gonna help you.
- 9:04Speaker 1: As long as it's not dangling from his lips.
- 9:16Speaker 7: Online at Treehouseonair dot com.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Time not to talk to Daniel Cook from cook DFW
- 9:29Speaker 1: Roofing and Restoration for your free roof inspection and to
- 9:32Speaker 1: get yourself on the very important cook list eight three
- 9:35Speaker 1: three cook DFW or the website cookdfw dot com. It's
- 9:40Speaker 1: that time of season, Daniel, and that season is, of course,
- 9:43Speaker 1: people on their roofs decorating for the holidays. Many people
- 9:45Speaker 1: already have decorated, which means they're going to take them
- 9:48Speaker 1: down soon. And is that when they're going to discover
- 9:51Speaker 1: that maybe they did little damage to their roof when
- 9:54Speaker 1: they put up Santa Claus and his reindeer.
- 9:57Speaker 8: Dan, it is that time of the year. Merry Christmas
- 9:59Speaker 8: to you and to everybody listening. And yes, sir, we
- 10:02Speaker 8: see a lot of roof damage, especially around the edges
- 10:08Speaker 8: of the people's homes. A lot of people will skirt
- 10:11Speaker 8: around the sides because they get scared about going too
- 10:13Speaker 8: far up and they kind of hold themselves up around
- 10:16Speaker 8: the edge as they're plugging the lights around, or they'll
- 10:20Speaker 8: hold the ladder against the side of the roof and
- 10:22Speaker 8: they'll damage the shingles all the way around the edges.
- 10:25Speaker 8: So there's a lot of things that happen to shingles,
- 10:27Speaker 8: and it may not damage it right away enough to leak,
- 10:29Speaker 8: but it's going to potentially put it there. So we
- 10:33Speaker 8: always suggest having your roof checked out once a year,
- 10:35Speaker 8: at least obviously for all the weather that we have,
- 10:38Speaker 8: but especially if you know you've had people on top
- 10:40Speaker 8: of your roof hanging lights or decorations, or you know
- 10:43Speaker 8: you see some shingles that are starting to fold on
- 10:45Speaker 8: the corner, so let us come out. Let's do an inspection.
- 10:48Speaker 8: May need some minor repairs, but it could save you
- 10:50Speaker 8: potentially thousands of dollars.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Later on eight three three cook DFW. That's eight three
- 10:54Speaker 1: three cook DFW or that website cookdfw dot com.
- 11:08Speaker 9: You're listening to the tree House.
- 11:10Speaker 10: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 11:16Speaker 1: You in that first segment, you are the first two segments,
- 11:18Speaker 1: you will have noticed that my television behind me here
- 11:21Speaker 1: was not on. Uh, And as we went into that
- 11:24Speaker 1: last commercial break talking about the ghost that I don't
- 11:27Speaker 1: think is real, the TV turned on by itself.
- 11:35Speaker 2: This is when every person of color leaves the building.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I don't know why you're still sitting there. We used
- 11:44Speaker 2: to be doing this podcast from the Starbucks. I don't
- 11:46Speaker 2: want I saw it turn on.
- 11:50Speaker 6: I was like, please tell me, because I can see normally.
- 11:52Speaker 6: I can see Tara through the mirror behind and I
- 11:55Speaker 6: was like, there's no Terra.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah, no, TERA's not at her desk, she's in the bedroom.
- 12:00Speaker 2: That TV turned on by itself. Yeah, and you're staying.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah, how much was the deposit? Like, I'm just real stubborn, Okay,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I'll send you money. I also hate moving, and I've done.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I've moved a lot recently, so I'd really like to
- 12:22Speaker 1: stay here for a few more weeks.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I'm just saying I will send you money.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Please leave.
- 12:27Speaker 6: I don't know what has to happen to you.
- 12:30Speaker 2: If Tara just starts floating behind you, I'm like, I'm out.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I don't I'm.
- 12:37Speaker 6: I'm quoting the show. I'm moving out of Mesquite. I'm
- 12:40Speaker 6: not going to tell you where I live now.
- 12:43Speaker 3: If the TV just gets stuck on the Hallmark channel.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Or Risolian Aisles. If that's if you're not on that show.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I don't know why you watch it, but no, I
- 12:58Speaker 2: don't know what it will take for you to leave
- 13:00Speaker 2: this place. Turned on as we're doing the show.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think it was in sleep mode.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Sure, so it was the ghost.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Someone the ghost woke up, so did the TV?
- 13:16Speaker 3: Yeah, what a lot of people do? Wake up? Flip
- 13:19Speaker 3: on the TV.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And see what the previous tenant was logged into on
- 13:25Speaker 1: which apps?
- 13:27Speaker 2: Or can we scare Dan today?
- 13:29Speaker 6: I don't know what the motivation is, but I if
- 13:33Speaker 6: that would have happened to me, See you, I have
- 13:37Speaker 6: no love loss like, I'll leave every relationship. I'll walk
- 13:41Speaker 6: out on people. I don't that TV turned on while
- 13:44Speaker 6: I was just sitting here.
- 13:46Speaker 1: No, but you stay, Yes, I don't think. I'm sure
- 13:51Speaker 1: there's a reasonable logical explanation for it.
- 13:54Speaker 3: So you think you're wife's full of it? Oh, it
- 13:57Speaker 3: sounds like it sounds like what you're saying.
- 14:00Speaker 1: That I believe. I believe that she believes in what
- 14:03Speaker 1: she's saying.
- 14:06Speaker 3: She's delusional.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, see now I'm now I'm
- 14:13Speaker 1: actually afraid.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Damn they get another place for a whole different reason.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I guess where I'm coming. It's gonna be you, Me
- 14:30Speaker 1: and Daisy Tray.
- 14:33Speaker 2: And the cat.
- 14:37Speaker 9: Oh.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Speaking of couples, I'm not sure if you guys are
- 14:44Speaker 1: ready for this, but neither were they. I love this
- 14:55Speaker 1: story so much, I think I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm
- 14:57Speaker 1: going to read it almost verbatim, muh as it was
- 15:01Speaker 1: sent to me. Okay, Around six pm on Monday evening,
- 15:07Speaker 1: a couple set out from a public dock on their
- 15:09Speaker 1: paddle boards, paddling a mile through the Cattails and Tavoli
- 15:12Speaker 1: Bays to the railroad bridge where the bay empties into
- 15:15Speaker 1: the Hudson River. This is upstate New York. The water
- 15:19Speaker 1: was still and the sky was painted with orange light.
- 15:22Speaker 1: The bay, which lies beneath the shore and the Amtrak
- 15:25Speaker 1: railroad causeway is filled with reed covered berms with open
- 15:28Speaker 1: water channels. One of them said, it was peaceful. The
- 15:33Speaker 1: place is awesome. There are birds and fish jumping and
- 15:35Speaker 1: catching their dinner. And there are beavers, cute beavers. I
- 15:39Speaker 1: thought it was just super. Halfway back to the dock,
- 15:42Speaker 1: they saw a big cute beaver coming right towards them
- 15:44Speaker 1: immediately stopped. Maybe it was curious, they thought, or perhaps
- 15:48Speaker 1: they accidentally got too close to its dam and it
- 15:50Speaker 1: was warning them off. The notion that the beaver could
- 15:54Speaker 1: be rabid never entered their minds. It circled around them,
- 15:59Speaker 1: then slammed in to the tail of the husband's board,
- 16:02Speaker 1: knocking him to his knees. Then coming around to the
- 16:04Speaker 1: left side of the board, the beaver struck again, this
- 16:07Speaker 1: time chomping into the durable, hard plastic of the board,
- 16:10Speaker 1: inches away from his flesh. He says, it latched on,
- 16:14Speaker 1: and I'm just staring down at this beaver. I'm seeing
- 16:17Speaker 1: its big buck teeth and its beady, little angry eyes,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and I'm sort of having this surreal moment thinking there's
- 16:22Speaker 1: no way this is happening right now. I need this
- 16:25Speaker 1: board to stay inflated. I'm not processing that there might
- 16:28Speaker 1: be imminent danger associated with interacting with this beaver. Instead
- 16:37Speaker 1: of fear, in those first few seconds, he says, he
- 16:40Speaker 1: was thinking about how the high quality, pricey paddle board
- 16:42Speaker 1: was now ruined and they weren't going to be able
- 16:44Speaker 1: to use it again. Now there's a beaver with his
- 16:46Speaker 1: teeth sunk through it, and I'm watching the air spurred
- 16:49Speaker 1: out into his face, thinking this is going to deter him.
- 16:52Speaker 2: No such luck.
- 16:55Speaker 1: In case you couldn't figure this out, a couple in
- 16:58Speaker 1: upstate New York had a arrowing tussle with a rabid
- 17:01Speaker 1: beaver near the Hudson River.
- 17:05Speaker 3: A white couple.
- 17:07Speaker 6: Yep, I was gonna say. I didn't want to say it.
- 17:09Speaker 6: I was waiting, who's gonna mention it? They're they're white people.
- 17:15Speaker 6: They're people.
- 17:16Speaker 2: They're the same people that when the TV comes on,
- 17:18Speaker 2: they don't leave.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I mean when the TV comes on by itself.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yes, they don't leave.
- 17:27Speaker 1: They just keep paddling.
- 17:29Speaker 2: It's you. It's a story about you. No, it's not.
- 17:34Speaker 3: And the woman was probably saying, oh, honey, let's take
- 17:37Speaker 3: it home.
- 17:40Speaker 1: As it's chewing through his leg. The next thing you know,
- 17:46Speaker 1: it shows up on your Instagram feed as a new
- 17:48Speaker 1: post from the DODO talking about how they rescued a
- 17:51Speaker 1: rabbid beaver and the man now only has one foot left.
- 17:58Speaker 6: Yes, no person of color was injured in the story.
- 18:09Speaker 3: All essays paddle boarding.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Paddle boarding Upstate New York.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Rabbit beaver.
- 18:20Speaker 3: And and we paused for a second.
- 18:32Speaker 2: For the white folks to catch up.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Any one of color. It looks like a road runner.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Dot com.
- 19:03Speaker 7: You're in the treehouse. This is online and treehouse on
- 19:08Speaker 7: air dot com.
- 19:10Speaker 1: It's time for some news, but not just any news,
- 19:15Speaker 1: the most stupid news that we could find. This is
- 19:26Speaker 1: actually a sad story and I need to put on
- 19:28Speaker 1: my my serious face and my straight pants here. A
- 19:32Speaker 1: YouTuber has been arrested and detained in India after cooking
- 19:36Speaker 1: and eating a peacock. That's my people, a video posted
- 19:49Speaker 1: to Kodan Prene Kumar's channel of him consuming a curry
- 19:53Speaker 1: apparently made from the bird is a protected national species.
- 20:00Speaker 1: The police said he was detained on Monday and jailed
- 20:02Speaker 1: after other videos in his mobile phone confirmed that the
- 20:05Speaker 1: bird he cooked was suspected to be a peacock. Now,
- 20:09Speaker 1: Kumar has denied the allegations of recording himself cooking and
- 20:16Speaker 1: eating a peacock and then posting it on YouTube. However,
- 20:19Speaker 1: evidence in the form of the YouTube video he posted,
- 20:24Speaker 1: which is titled Traditional Peacock Curry Recipe, says he's probably guilty.
- 20:33Speaker 1: He tried saying no, no, no, that's not peacock, that's chicken.
- 20:39Speaker 1: So what the investigators did was is they found a
- 20:42Speaker 1: pot of the leftover peacock curry with quotations and sent
- 20:47Speaker 1: it to a forensic lab for testing. So if it
- 20:50Speaker 1: comes back as peacock, he's a he's gonna be in
- 20:54Speaker 1: trouble in India.
- 20:55Speaker 6: Yes, And it's like the Wild West over there too,
- 20:58Speaker 6: like the comps can beat confessions of you like they
- 21:00Speaker 6: still do. Oh yeah, So he might have just made
- 21:04Speaker 6: chicken kirky.
- 21:07Speaker 3: And a video that pissed off the cop.
- 21:12Speaker 2: He's like, I'm gonna rest his kind and whoop his ass.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's very much like that. I was there for a
- 21:18Speaker 2: buddy of mine's wedding in two thousand and the cop
- 21:22Speaker 2: would stop, like I would have car service come pick
- 21:25Speaker 2: me up and take me back to my aunt uncle's
- 21:27Speaker 2: place from the wedding venue.
- 21:30Speaker 6: And I get stopped by the same cop every night.
- 21:32Speaker 6: And finally I was just like, I'm gonna be here
- 21:33Speaker 6: for two more weeks.
- 21:34Speaker 2: How much do you?
- 21:35Speaker 6: How much money do you Because they just bought bribes,
- 21:37Speaker 6: I was like, how much money do you need? And
- 21:39Speaker 6: at first I was very like, hey, you can't do this,
- 21:42Speaker 6: you can't it's extortion, and he's like, I'll put you
- 21:46Speaker 6: in prison and your family won't hear from you for
- 21:48Speaker 6: the next couple of weeks.
- 21:49Speaker 2: So what do you want to do? And I was like,
- 21:51Speaker 2: cool man, how much is it gonna take? And he
- 21:53Speaker 2: told me the amount and I was like that that's
- 21:54Speaker 2: about eight dollars. You may have that.
- 21:58Speaker 6: It is very much uh on that on that level.
- 22:01Speaker 6: So I'm sure that they the kid was just making
- 22:04Speaker 6: a video and uh, now he's sitting in Do you
- 22:08Speaker 6: know what city this isn't?
- 22:09Speaker 2: Do you know what part of India?
- 22:10Speaker 1: Sure, I can give you some more details. I left
- 22:12Speaker 1: a lot of them out because I don't know the
- 22:15Speaker 1: region and I don't know how to pronounce the city's names.
- 22:19Speaker 2: That's when you send me the story first and.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Think about that. I like to surprise you with with things.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yes, my middle name is also Kumar.
- 22:28Speaker 1: So so he is now in jail on fourteen days
- 22:34Speaker 1: remand under the Wildlife Protection Act of India and now
- 22:38Speaker 1: the court will decide whether he'd remain inside or get bail.
- 22:42Speaker 1: That's according to the police superintendent in the southern state
- 22:46Speaker 1: of Telangana.
- 22:50Speaker 2: You want to spell it.
- 22:53Speaker 1: T E L A N G A n A. Now
- 22:57Speaker 1: the what stating again Telangana telling God I was pretty close.
- 23:02Speaker 1: The suspect, Prene Kumar from Fungalapai near Hyderabad, Yeah, denied
- 23:12Speaker 1: the allegations, claiming the dish was made with chicken. Once published,
- 23:17Speaker 1: the video provoked a backlash from social media unit from
- 23:21Speaker 1: social media users, some of whom accused the would be
- 23:23Speaker 1: social media star of promoting illegal wildlife consumption and disrespecting
- 23:27Speaker 1: a national symbol. According to the Times of India, further
- 23:30Speaker 1: investigation claims his YouTube channel found a video demonstrating how
- 23:34Speaker 1: to cook a wild boar curry, which raised concerns about
- 23:36Speaker 1: whether it promoted illegal hunting. The Indian peacock, identified with
- 23:40Speaker 1: its vibrant blue color and a regal wingspan among males,
- 23:43Speaker 1: holds special symbolic importance in India.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I was about to ask it, Raj if they've if
- 23:51Speaker 3: it's like a religious symbol or something, because if you've
- 23:54Speaker 3: ever been around peacocks, they're really men birds.
- 23:59Speaker 2: That's gonna say this same thing.
- 24:01Speaker 6: I don't think they're I know they do a lot
- 24:03Speaker 6: of like they sell a lot of I don't know
- 24:05Speaker 6: how this works, but they sell a lot of like
- 24:06Speaker 6: the peacock feathers, like they make pens out of them,
- 24:09Speaker 6: They make jewelry out of them, so maybe that's why.
- 24:12Speaker 2: But they're very mean.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yeah, they're actually I don't know what a group of
- 24:17Speaker 1: peacocks is called, but there is a number of them
- 24:22Speaker 1: on the island. You should be sorry.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I just saw a space light up and I knew
- 24:41Speaker 2: it was about to happen.
- 24:43Speaker 1: A group of peacocks is called a gang bang. So
- 24:53Speaker 1: which knows? You look really really ashamed.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I'm ashamed of you and proud of you at the
- 25:00Speaker 2: same time. I don't know. I think this is what
- 25:02Speaker 2: being a father's like, Like I don't want to claim you,
- 25:07Speaker 2: but I love you.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Anyway. There are a handful of peacocks on the island
- 25:15Speaker 1: of Saint John. They're they're wild and they you know
- 25:17Speaker 1: they're They roam around. I'm pulled into a gas station once.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I almost ran one over because it was hidden behind
- 25:24Speaker 1: a little half wall. But they seem pretty docile.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I don't.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I don't see them jumping on anyone without their consent.
- 25:33Speaker 6: No, but they do like they they've been known to.
- 25:40Speaker 2: They do.
- 25:40Speaker 6: They're very very territorial birds, so like if you're in
- 25:44Speaker 6: their space, like they'll come after you. It's like the geese,
- 25:47Speaker 6: like the park or whatever like that comes after you
- 25:51Speaker 6: forgetting too close swans.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Wi swans will do that as well. I can speak
- 25:55Speaker 1: from experience. A swan will attack you.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Oh really, you've been a time by swan? How do
- 26:02Speaker 2: we not know this story?
- 26:06Speaker 1: I've told it before.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Get attacked by a swan? Okay, yeah, I've never heard it.
- 26:11Speaker 2: What happened?
- 26:12Speaker 1: I'm me to tell you, all right. So there I was.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I was twelve or thirteen years old. My mom and
- 26:17Speaker 1: I were on a vacation at a place called the
- 26:19Speaker 1: Wio Ranch outside of San Antonio, Texas, and we were
- 26:22Speaker 1: doing a little horseback ride. And the dudes that worked
- 26:27Speaker 1: this vacation dude Ranch, had told us that if we
- 26:30Speaker 1: ever go by this particular pond, be aware of the
- 26:33Speaker 1: black swan. And well, we go buy this pond. I
- 26:38Speaker 1: get off my horse and I'm walking around. I think
- 26:40Speaker 1: I'm skipping rocks in this pond, and out of nowhere,
- 26:42Speaker 1: my mom screams, look out, she's still on her horseback.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I look off to my left and I see this
- 26:48Speaker 1: black swan coming out of the water with its huge
- 26:50Speaker 1: wings flapping and coming at me and squawking at me.
- 26:53Speaker 1: And my mom bought us Cowboy boots for the trip.
- 26:57Speaker 1: So I'm wearing Cowboy boots which are brand new, which
- 27:00Speaker 1: anyone that's ever had new Cowboy boots, No, they're very
- 27:02Speaker 1: slippery on the bottom because they're not scuffed up yet.
- 27:05Speaker 1: So I slipped to my brand new ropers on the
- 27:09Speaker 1: rocks on the shore of this pond, and I slip
- 27:12Speaker 1: and I fall, and next thing I know, this huge
- 27:14Speaker 1: black swan is over the top of me, attacking me
- 27:17Speaker 1: with its wings and trying to peck at me with
- 27:19Speaker 1: its beak. So I did the one thing I knew
- 27:20Speaker 1: to do from fourth grade taekwondo, and that was to
- 27:24Speaker 1: sidekick it in the neck.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Okay, all right, well you know I mean.
- 27:33Speaker 1: And back into the pond it went. And back on
- 27:36Speaker 1: the horse I got and rode off into the sunset,
- 27:41Speaker 1: vowing never to return to that pond again and wondering
- 27:45Speaker 1: why did this swan have to be black?
- 27:50Speaker 2: You can't have a gang bang without a black swan.
- 27:56Speaker 9: It you're listening to the tree House.

- 28:40Speaker 1: But thank you Trey for sending me the story about
- 28:42Speaker 1: how a man lives in a murder house. That does
- 28:45Speaker 1: remind me that I need to check the address of
- 28:48Speaker 1: this airbnb where I'm staying, to see if there's anything
- 28:51Speaker 1: in the news about this particular address that needs to be,
- 28:55Speaker 1: you know, known, because that's what the article that you
- 29:00Speaker 1: sent me about that guy said was. It was titled
- 29:05Speaker 1: I live in a murder house. This is what it's
- 29:07Speaker 1: really like. When Mike Covell's young daughter asked one evening,
- 29:12Speaker 1: where's the old lady who sings to me? His blood
- 29:15Speaker 1: ran cold. There was no elderly woman in their house
- 29:19Speaker 1: on Severn Street in the Hull. This is in England somewhere.
- 29:23Speaker 1: It was just Mike, his wife, three year old Bradley,
- 29:26Speaker 1: and two year old daughter Alyssa. He said. We moved
- 29:28Speaker 1: on to Severn Street in two thousand and seven. I
- 29:30Speaker 1: was born on the street. My parents still live there.
- 29:32Speaker 1: We wanted to move closer to them. One morning, my
- 29:35Speaker 1: son woke up and told me there was a man
- 29:36Speaker 1: standing at his door with a bit of wood in
- 29:38Speaker 1: his hand. A few nights later he woke up again,
- 29:41Speaker 1: this time screaming. I ran into his room and leaned
- 29:43Speaker 1: in to give him a hug. As I did, my
- 29:45Speaker 1: son whispered, he's behind you now. I turned around and
- 29:50Speaker 1: there was no one there. Meanwhile, my daughter was adamant.
- 29:53Speaker 1: There was an old lady who sang to her inside
- 29:55Speaker 1: the house. The home is nestled in a quiet residenti area,
- 30:00Speaker 1: just a stone's throw away from a busy man road.
- 30:03Speaker 1: The tree lined street full of twentieth century terraced houses
- 30:06Speaker 1: seemed unassuming enough when Mike moved in. I'd like to
- 30:08Speaker 1: point out that that description of their neighborhood in England
- 30:11Speaker 1: sounds a lot like this one outside my window here.
- 30:14Speaker 1: The self confessed history buff who runs amazing whole tours
- 30:19Speaker 1: decided to research his house after his kid's strange experiences.
- 30:23Speaker 1: What a coincidence a guy that happens to be a
- 30:25Speaker 1: history buff moved into a house that apparently murder took place,
- 30:30Speaker 1: and he runs tours in the neighborhood. What are the
- 30:33Speaker 1: odds of his house being haunted? Could back to the story.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Could something have happened there which led to his children's
- 30:42Speaker 1: experiences with ghosts? Was the house haunted? A few weeks
- 30:46Speaker 1: after moving in, the data too went to his city's
- 30:48Speaker 1: archives and started the search for his street name and
- 30:50Speaker 1: number one article from the Whole Time's newspaper soon caught
- 30:52Speaker 1: his eye. Murder on Severn Street. He read on discovered
- 30:57Speaker 1: that on April first, nineteen forty five, a former owner
- 31:00Speaker 1: of the home, forty nine year old Emily Garbett, had
- 31:03Speaker 1: been bludgeoned to death with an axe by her lodger
- 31:05Speaker 1: of fifteen years sixty nine year old Fred Watson. Mike says,
- 31:10Speaker 1: I kept going through the articles. Basically, Emily was at
- 31:12Speaker 1: home in a rocking chair in the room I'm speaking
- 31:14Speaker 1: from now. When Watson came back from work, he grabbed
- 31:16Speaker 1: an axe, put it through her head six times, and
- 31:18Speaker 1: drag her body into a room at the back of
- 31:20Speaker 1: the property. He switched on the gas and took a
- 31:22Speaker 1: rusty knife to try to end his own life. Neighbors
- 31:25Speaker 1: heard the noise called police, who knocked down the door
- 31:28Speaker 1: and took Watson to the hospital. He was found guilty
- 31:30Speaker 1: of Emily's murder. Deemed to be insane, he was spared
- 31:33Speaker 1: from execution. Instead, he was sent to De La Pole Hospital,
- 31:38Speaker 1: a former psychiatric unit, and there he killed himself.
- 31:44Speaker 6: So that would have been like a little piece of
- 31:45Speaker 6: wood that he was holding in his hand was the
- 31:47Speaker 6: axe handle probably.
- 31:49Speaker 1: And this is the owner of the home, Mike pointing
- 31:53Speaker 1: to the corner in which Emily was alleged to have
- 31:55Speaker 1: been murdered in his house. So he's very serious there
- 31:59Speaker 1: as he points to that ugly wallpaper. So in order
- 32:04Speaker 1: to make me feel better about, uh, the staying in
- 32:07Speaker 1: an alleged haunted Airbnb, my good buddy Trey sent me
- 32:13Speaker 1: a article talking about how a dude lives in a
- 32:16Speaker 1: murder house and what it's like.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Thank you, well, you can write a part two.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I'm stuck with the sequel. Yeah, sequels are are rarely
- 32:31Speaker 1: better than the.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Original sequel in Seattle. That's uh, that's what you can
- 32:36Speaker 2: do now.
- 32:37Speaker 1: This actually would be titled Sleepless in Seattle too, just
- 32:40Speaker 1: for two very different reasons.
- 32:42Speaker 6: I think it's a ballsy that that they still live there,
- 32:47Speaker 6: they still stay, they're still staying in the murder house.
- 32:50Speaker 1: But that's.
- 32:53Speaker 6: I mean, I don't want to go with stereotypes, but
- 32:55Speaker 6: I'm just saying, like the white people didn't leave the
- 32:58Speaker 6: murder House like I would have left my kids. Like
- 33:03Speaker 6: it's like the minute that kid was like he's behind you,
- 33:05Speaker 6: I'm like, I'll miss you, and then I would just walk.
- 33:08Speaker 1: You, you, as a person of color, said you would
- 33:10Speaker 1: leave your kids. Yeah, and you're saying you don't want
- 33:12Speaker 1: to lean into stereotypes.
- 33:14Speaker 6: I'm just saying, if he says he's behind you, that's
- 33:18Speaker 6: when I'm like, I love you, but I have to
- 33:21Speaker 6: go now.
- 33:21Speaker 1: And when Timmy says he's behind you and you turn
- 33:24Speaker 1: around and nothing's there, that's when that's when you're.
- 33:27Speaker 6: That I'm not even I'm not even taking a bag.
- 33:29Speaker 6: I'm just gonna I'm just gonna leave. They can all
- 33:32Speaker 6: stay if they want to come, start walking down the
- 33:33Speaker 6: street with me.
- 33:34Speaker 1: But no, you wouldn't. You wouldn't be concerned and think
- 33:37Speaker 1: that maybe maybe your child is schizophrenic as opposed to
- 33:41Speaker 1: maybe seeing a ghost.
- 33:44Speaker 6: So I so I would have to like evaluate his
- 33:47Speaker 6: mental health. Uh at that, like at four o'clock in
- 33:50Speaker 6: the morning, when he's screaming he's behind you.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Saying if if if I have a kid and he
- 33:54Speaker 1: says he's behind you and I turn around there's nothing there,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I'm going to jump to a logical, uh you know,
- 34:00Speaker 1: hypothesis and think that my kid has suffering some some
- 34:03Speaker 1: from some sort of mental illness, not that there was
- 34:07Speaker 1: an axe murdering ghost in the house.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Well, I'm leaving the mom behind too, so she might
- 34:11Speaker 6: find out.
- 34:18Speaker 2: I didn't say she was coming with.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Kind of monster do you think he is?
- 34:24Speaker 2: I don't want to find out.
- 34:27Speaker 1: And now I lie. You've never been married.
- 34:35Speaker 7: Visit us online on air dot com.
- 34:38Speaker 1: I take it back, I'm wrong about that. Now I
- 34:41Speaker 1: know why you're divorced.

- 35:16Speaker 1: And if you're looking for creative ways to make some money,
- 35:21Speaker 1: I've got one for you. A man has been sentenced
- 35:26Speaker 1: for selling drugs near a drug treatment center.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Captive audience.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Brilliant. Mohammed Muse, a thirty seven year old from Kent, Washington,
- 35:43Speaker 1: was sentenced on Monday in US District Court two thirty
- 35:47Speaker 1: months in prison and three years of supervised release for
- 35:49Speaker 1: selling narcotics near a drug treatment center. Well creative or
- 36:05Speaker 1: a go getter, judge, real, what's that?
- 36:09Speaker 6: It's very entrepreneurial, Like that's very that's uh, we should
- 36:13Speaker 6: be we should be giving him a pat on the
- 36:15Speaker 6: back like well done.
- 36:16Speaker 1: But well, the the US district judge saw it differently.
- 36:21Speaker 1: He said fentanyl is an extremely dangerous drug that has
- 36:24Speaker 1: been ravaging our community. I am particularly concerned with the
- 36:28Speaker 1: targeting of a methodode clinic. You know, it sounds it
- 36:33Speaker 1: sounds to me like he got a harsher sentence based
- 36:37Speaker 1: on the location of him selling drugs near a drug
- 36:40Speaker 1: treatment center.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Makes me feel a lot better about myself that I've
- 36:45Speaker 4: told Girl Scouts, you know, to go to AA meetings
- 36:48Speaker 4: and just camp outside and you will sell out everything.
- 36:54Speaker 1: There was one time and uh raj, you can back
- 36:57Speaker 1: me up on this because you as well have gone
- 37:00Speaker 1: to Quinland's and Carleton. It is during the daytime. It
- 37:04Speaker 1: is a very popular regulars type bar, so much so
- 37:11Speaker 1: that one of the regular customers had his niece, who's
- 37:15Speaker 1: a Girl Scout, set up right inside the front door
- 37:20Speaker 1: of Quinland's to sell Girl Scout cookies. I think she's
- 37:26Speaker 1: still celebrating in Disney World.
- 37:32Speaker 2: She bought Stop now, were they buying on the way
- 37:37Speaker 2: in or on the way out?
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yes, because you guilt purchase on the way in, because
- 37:46Speaker 1: if you don't purchase on the way into the bar,
- 37:49Speaker 1: she's already inside the bar. She's just gonna stare at
- 37:52Speaker 1: you with a sad girl Scout face until you come
- 37:56Speaker 1: back and buy some cookies. And then because as you're drinking,
- 38:01Speaker 1: what's gonna happen, you're gonna have You're gonna have some cocktails,
- 38:05Speaker 1: and then when you leave, you're gonna be like, you
- 38:07Speaker 1: know what I need more of are some tagalongs and
- 38:10Speaker 1: some samoas, and now you're gonna buy a whole other
- 38:13Speaker 1: caseload of cookies on the way out. She probably only
- 38:16Speaker 1: had to sell cookies for one day of the entire
- 38:18Speaker 1: run of the Girl Scout cookie campaign.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Yeah, they are the devil.
- 38:23Speaker 6: I just want I mean, I want everybody to be
- 38:25Speaker 6: aware of my stance of the Girl Scouts.
- 38:27Speaker 2: They are a product of Satan.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Okay, I didn't know if you were talking about the
- 38:31Speaker 1: girls themselves or the cookies.
- 38:32Speaker 2: No, I mean they're they're part of his legion.
- 38:35Speaker 6: They are they are equally as guilty as Satan himself.
- 38:40Speaker 6: Because I didn't think and I don't I don't have kids,
- 38:45Speaker 6: so I shouldn't have to think this. But I was
- 38:47Speaker 6: coming out of the tom Thumb and Carrollton off of
- 38:49Speaker 6: Frankfurt and there they were. There's four of them and
- 38:54Speaker 6: a mom and they're like.
- 38:55Speaker 2: You want to buy cookies, mister. And first of all,
- 38:57Speaker 2: nobody says mister anymore. We're not in the fifties. But
- 39:01Speaker 2: they have a little program or whatever.
- 39:02Speaker 6: And I go, ah, don't have any cash and I
- 39:05Speaker 6: this actually came out of my mouth.
- 39:07Speaker 2: I go, I don't have any cash. And she pulled
- 39:08Speaker 2: out the square and out loud, I went, bitch, here's
- 39:16Speaker 2: the thing that the cookies.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Here's the thing though. Either you take your card and
- 39:21Speaker 1: you tap that square and buy some cookies, or the
- 39:25Speaker 1: demons will come out if you don't buy those cookies.
- 39:28Speaker 1: And you know what's gonna happen. I've seen it. Their
- 39:31Speaker 1: heads start spinning.
- 39:32Speaker 6: Yeah, I was like, you little bitch. And then yeah,
- 39:36Speaker 6: I ended up having to buy I even bought one
- 39:40Speaker 6: that was on a wait list. They had a new
- 39:41Speaker 6: one that came out last year. I can't remember what
- 39:43Speaker 6: flavored it was. And I was like, okay, here and
- 39:45Speaker 6: I gave them my address. I'm like, here, you go,
- 39:48Speaker 6: have the devil drop it off himself.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Uh yeah, so there. When I see them, I'll literally
- 39:53Speaker 2: go anywhere else, Like I'm going to the grocery store.
- 39:55Speaker 2: I'll get back in the car. I'm like, I can't you.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Have to watch out for the Girl Scouts man, because
- 40:00Speaker 1: they've gotten more aggressive over the years. They'll chase you down.
- 40:05Speaker 1: It's to me. To me, one of the most terrifying
- 40:07Speaker 1: events of my life was walking up to a home
- 40:09Speaker 1: depot and seeing a Girl Scout troops set up trying
- 40:12Speaker 1: to sell cookies. Because here's the thing. If you didn't
- 40:16Speaker 1: buy the cookies, they had the Girl Scout enforcers with
- 40:19Speaker 1: the chains and the pickaxes and all the other weaponry
- 40:22Speaker 1: found inside of a home depot to help gently persuade
- 40:26Speaker 1: you into buying a box of soamobas if.
- 40:28Speaker 6: You don't believe that they're the devil. There was a
- 40:30Speaker 6: mom that put her kid inside of a bar during
- 40:33Speaker 6: the day. It was like sell it, your baby. Sell here.
- 40:37Speaker 2: You're not legally supposed to even be in this establishment,
- 40:40Speaker 2: but this is where you sell.
- 40:42Speaker 1: But you get special dispensation if you're a Girl Scout. Yeah,
- 40:46Speaker 1: because even the TABC if they rolled in, they would
- 40:49Speaker 1: have been like, well allow it, give me a pack of.
- 40:52Speaker 2: In minutes BRIBC with samoas. You didn't see nothing that.
- 41:05Speaker 9: You're in the treehouse.
- 41:09Speaker 7: Visit us online a treehouse on air dot com.
- 41:27Speaker 9: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 41:30Speaker 10: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I have done it like a couple of drugs since
- 41:39Speaker 1: we've been here, but nothing major because I'd like you, Trey.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I don't like uh, being out of control. I don't
- 41:45Speaker 1: like altered states type of stuff. That's why I've never done.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Being in a fog and not remembering things.
- 41:51Speaker 2: M M.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah, see, I've already got that on my own. I
- 41:54Speaker 1: don't need drugs to enhance that.
- 41:56Speaker 6: That'd be amazing if we'd made you remember everything like
- 41:59Speaker 6: it just had the adverse effect on you, just remembered
- 42:02Speaker 6: like you just based.
- 42:02Speaker 1: On recent experiments. That's not the case, Okay.
- 42:05Speaker 2: I was like, maybe you just turned into good wool hunting.
- 42:09Speaker 1: So chalkboard is safe around me.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Just start solving that problems. Yeah.
- 42:16Speaker 1: The while we've beginning lots and lots of things delivered,
- 42:20Speaker 1: cannabis has not been one of them, although we did.
- 42:22Speaker 1: We did stop into a shop the other day and
- 42:25Speaker 1: get a couple of gummies, and turns out I have
- 42:27Speaker 1: to be careful with those because we we did know
- 42:30Speaker 1: going into it. Some of the best advice that you
- 42:33Speaker 1: can be given and that you should follow, and that
- 42:36Speaker 1: is don't ever eat edibles when you're hungry, Yeah, otherwise
- 42:42Speaker 1: you end up like that dude who actually was on
- 42:43Speaker 1: a flight from Seattle to Dallas with no shirt and
- 42:47Speaker 1: him saying he ate twenty edible cookies and getting hauled
- 42:52Speaker 1: off and zip ties by federal authorities.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:58Speaker 6: I and also listen to the direct when they say, like,
- 43:00Speaker 6: if you don't smoke often, it could take up to
- 43:03Speaker 6: an hour to kick in, because I never thought i'd
- 43:08Speaker 6: ever witness anybody overdose on weed. And then my ex
- 43:12Speaker 6: wife we went to the dispensary that was by the house,
- 43:15Speaker 6: got a chocolate bar. It says weight depending on regularity
- 43:21Speaker 6: or whatever, how often you smoke, wait between fifteen minutes.
- 43:25Speaker 3: To an hour.
- 43:26Speaker 1: And that's a pretty big window. I mean fifteen minutes
- 43:29Speaker 1: or an hour.
- 43:30Speaker 6: Yeah, because I mean like you're still supposed to eat
- 43:32Speaker 6: on before you take it so it doesn't hit an
- 43:35Speaker 6: empty stomach. And she gave one square of the chocolate bar,
- 43:39Speaker 6: and I took one square, and I waited, and about
- 43:42Speaker 6: thirty five minutes in, she's like, this is crap, nothing
- 43:46Speaker 6: is happening. They sold us some bunk stuff and I'm like,
- 43:48Speaker 6: it's California and a dispensary. It's not They didn't just
- 43:52Speaker 6: sell us a chocolate bar.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Yeah, this isn't just a mister goodbar.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:55Speaker 6: So then she took another one and I was like, okay,
- 43:59Speaker 6: now you got to wait another ten minutes for the
- 44:01Speaker 6: first one to kick in, and then after that it's
- 44:03Speaker 6: gonna be about thirty minutes before that one kicks in.
- 44:06Speaker 6: And we waited another twenty minutes and she's like, this
- 44:08Speaker 6: is bs man, this is not working, and took a
- 44:11Speaker 6: third one and I was still on my number one
- 44:13Speaker 6: and number the first one started to hit and I
- 44:15Speaker 6: was like, oh, here we go, and she stood up,
- 44:18Speaker 6: looked at me, and then passed the f out's sleep
- 44:23Speaker 6: on the couch for six hours.
- 44:24Speaker 1: That actually sounds about right, because was it last year
- 44:30Speaker 1: Tara and I involved ourselves in a drug transaction. One
- 44:34Speaker 1: of the bars on Saint Thomas on the Beach has
- 44:36Speaker 1: a lot of weed, so we asked the guy who
- 44:43Speaker 1: was the cook at the bar slash drug dealer when
- 44:46Speaker 1: he was on break, like, hey, can we get a
- 44:48Speaker 1: joint from you? And our coolest never done a drug
- 44:52Speaker 1: transaction in our lives type of thing because normally whenever
- 44:55Speaker 1: I've had it in the past, it was just kind
- 44:56Speaker 1: of there. I didn't have to actually be there for
- 44:58Speaker 1: the point of sale. Here, I had to be the
- 45:01Speaker 1: guy asking. It's like say, man, k K, can I
- 45:06Speaker 1: get some drugs from you? Also? Can I get a
- 45:09Speaker 1: side of ranch? Because you forgot that when you go
- 45:12Speaker 1: back to the kitchen.
- 45:15Speaker 3: And here's another PSA.
- 45:17Speaker 4: Generally for people if you're not used to smoking that
- 45:22Speaker 4: I see all too often, don't drink and do weed
- 45:28Speaker 4: if you're not used to it. Being crossfaded is a
- 45:31Speaker 4: real thing, and it turns out to be really problematic
- 45:33Speaker 4: for people.
- 45:35Speaker 1: That's what happened to me on that day because I
- 45:37Speaker 1: was already at the bar and we had already had
- 45:40Speaker 1: some drinks, and then I asked the cook slash drug
- 45:43Speaker 1: dealer of the bar, hey, can we get a joint?
- 45:45Speaker 1: And then he said sure, and then he rolled and
- 45:47Speaker 1: I said, you have to roll it for us because
- 45:48Speaker 1: you don't want to see me do this. This is
- 45:49Speaker 1: going to be ugly and half of us get end
- 45:50Speaker 1: up on, you know, on the floor. So he rolled
- 45:53Speaker 1: us our joint. Then we grabbed our to go food
- 45:55Speaker 1: from him, our side of ranch and our weed and
- 45:57Speaker 1: went home and then we smoked the joint, and since
- 46:01Speaker 1: I can't do anything in moderation, I basically smoked the
- 46:04Speaker 1: whole joint and like your ex wife, Raj, I passed
- 46:07Speaker 1: the f out and when I woke up, I had
- 46:12Speaker 1: severe motion sickness. And I'm assuming that that was because
- 46:15Speaker 1: of like Trey just said, maybe I was cross faded.
- 46:18Speaker 1: It was a combination of the weed and the booze
- 46:20Speaker 1: coming together to join a coming together to form a
- 46:25Speaker 1: super autobot. And he kicked my ass.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Also, that was the whitest transaction I've ever heard.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it was, It absolutely was. There was There was
- 46:38Speaker 1: absolutely zero cool in my body when it came to
- 46:42Speaker 1: buying the joint.
- 46:43Speaker 3: I feel like you called it.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Did you ask for some grass a little left handed cigarette?
- 46:56Speaker 1: I did start the conversation with say, man.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I'm not a cop.
- 47:04Speaker 1: I mean I know a lot of them, but they're
- 47:06Speaker 1: not here right now.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Because you also said point of say you've never been
- 47:11Speaker 2: at the point of sale. They usually just call that
- 47:16Speaker 2: some dude's house.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Well, that was my experience with illegal drugs. It was
- 47:23Speaker 1: never me trying to make a purchase. It was always
- 47:25Speaker 1: just being somewhere where it already was. It's and it
- 47:28Speaker 1: wasn't involving me having to go to the going to
- 47:32Speaker 1: the drug dealer and asking for the drugs. And at
- 47:35Speaker 1: the same time I say say, man, can I get
- 47:37Speaker 1: some left handed grassdobies? I pull up my shirt to
- 47:40Speaker 1: show that I'm not wearing a wire. And I also say,
- 47:43Speaker 1: by the way, I'm not a cop. Not that I
- 47:45Speaker 1: needed to say it, because the drug dealer he already
- 47:47Speaker 1: knew just based on what I had said, because he
- 47:50Speaker 1: would have said cops are way cooler when they ask
- 47:53Speaker 1: for drugs.
- 47:54Speaker 4: But yeah, what is amusing in this day and age
- 47:58Speaker 4: is the fact that because so few people carry cash anymore,
- 48:03Speaker 4: a lot of.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Drug dealers are forced to take like Venmo.
- 48:07Speaker 2: My guy did.
- 48:09Speaker 3: I had to ask him.
- 48:10Speaker 1: I was like, say, uh, I don't have any cash
- 48:14Speaker 1: on me, do you. He's like, yeah, I got Venmo.
- 48:15Speaker 1: He held it up right there. His q RCO was ready. Man, Yeah,
- 48:18Speaker 1: he was ready.
- 48:21Speaker 2: He knew it when he saw you. This is going
- 48:25Speaker 2: to be a paperless transaction.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Except for the actual joint papers.
- 48:31Speaker 2: That's right. Did you give him a five star rating
- 48:33Speaker 2: when you were done? Did you get.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Of course it was a really tightly rolled joint. I
- 48:40Speaker 1: appreciated the crash.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Do you put in the description of the transaction ranch.
- 48:48Speaker 1: That was Yeah, that was the code. That's how we
- 48:52Speaker 1: did it. That's how we hit it. From the authorities.
- 48:55Speaker 1: We go to make sure no coppers find out what
- 48:57Speaker 1: we're up.
- 48:58Speaker 2: To, can't get caught with the reefer man.
- 49:03Speaker 1: That thus it's hot Anertaro, that's crap.
- 49:07Speaker 3: They were just buying range
