- 0:20Speaker 4: Good, Mark.
- 0:21Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Hey, I just wanted to reinforce what you were saying
- 0:23Speaker 4: earlier that both my wife and I went in. I
- 0:26Speaker 4: live in New London. Both my wife and I went in.
- 0:28Speaker 4: And voted early. And there's no lines instead of waiting
- 0:32Speaker 4: until Election Day when maybe there's a little more ceremony
- 0:35Speaker 4: going on. But, I mean, you can just bang it out.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah. All right. Thanks. Good point. Do the early voting.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Do it this week. Election Day, you got to wait
- 0:46Speaker 1: in line. It takes forever. You do the early voting.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You walk right in. You vote. You leave. There's no waiting.
- 0:52Speaker 1: And who knows? Election Day could be bad weather. It
- 0:55Speaker 1: is supposed to rain Election Day. Something could come up.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Do the early voting. You can do it any day
- 1:01Speaker 1: this week. You can do it this weekend. Do the
- 1:04Speaker 1: early voting. Let's go to Bob in the Bronx. Bob,
- 1:07Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 1:10Speaker 6: Let me check.
- 1:11Speaker 7: I'm good, Mark. Yeah, I'm a first-time caller, long-time listener.
- 1:19Speaker 7: I wanted to talk to you. The other day you
- 1:20Speaker 7: were talking about the guy about the ingredients in potato chips. Yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 7: you were right and he was right. I, uh, I
- 1:29Speaker 7: checked out the suit, like the, the original lays are
- 1:32Speaker 7: just potatoes, salt and oil, but, but then the, and then,
- 1:37Speaker 7: but the other ones were all different flavors. They have
- 1:39Speaker 7: all sorts of stuff. So you were right about that.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Well, it's not me. You just got to check. Uh,
- 1:43Speaker 1: there is such a thing as healthy potato chips, potatoes, salt, oil,
- 1:47Speaker 1: but most of them have tons and tons of chemicals
- 1:50Speaker 1: in them. You're right.
- 1:51Speaker 7: All the ones with flavors and stuff like that.
- 1:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:53Speaker 7: Now, uh, I just want to say I've been listening
- 1:57Speaker 7: to you when you were on the other station. Always
- 2:00Speaker 7: enjoyed listening to you.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And where are you in the Bronx?
- 2:04Speaker 7: I'm in the Morris Park area.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Very nice. That's near.
- 2:07Speaker 7: I'm in Park Lane, Morris Park.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 1: You ever go to Arthur Avenue?
- 2:12Speaker 6: I grew up there.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Oh, is it still great?
- 2:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Food, everything still great?
- 2:16Speaker 7: Well, yeah, there's good restaurants, you know, the neighborhood. Like
- 2:20Speaker 7: I used to live down on 104th Street.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 7: St. Bonaventure Hospital, and that area's changed, you know. But
- 2:28Speaker 7: Austin Avenue, 187th Street, they're, you know, they're nice. A
- 2:33Speaker 7: lot of good businesses there, restaurants, bakeries.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 1: All right. Well, thanks for calling. Let's go to Lorenzo
- 2:43Speaker 1: in Connecticut. Lorenzo, how are you doing?
- 2:47Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yes, Lorenzo.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Hey, you're a really good sport. I listened to you
- 2:54Speaker 6: when you guest hosted for Sean Hannity. He's a great American,
- 3:00Speaker 6: and you're not bad yourself. But I have to admit.
- 3:04Speaker 1: What's the problem?
- 3:07Speaker 6: Why did he get married again?
- 3:09Speaker 1: I don't know. The poor guy. What the hell did
- 3:10Speaker 1: he do? I don't know. Some people like to be married.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Some people.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Well, my first reaction when I hear that so-and-so is
- 3:17Speaker 6: getting married is, on purpose?
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's a good point. That's a good point.
- 3:22Speaker 1: You know, you go to a wedding. The women are crying.
- 3:24Speaker 1: They're so happy. They're crying. I feel so bad for
- 3:28Speaker 1: the guy. I feel like he's going to prison or something,
- 3:30Speaker 1: whoever's getting married, you know? And then there's that old
- 3:34Speaker 1: story about the wedding night, the honeymoon, the wedding night.
- 3:38Speaker 1: He says to her, tell me, am I the first?
- 3:42Speaker 1: And she says, why has everybody asked that? So I
- 3:46Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know. It's More and more people
- 3:48Speaker 1: staying single. It's interesting. Less and less people getting married.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Let's go to Jim in New Jersey. Jim, how you doing? Hey,
- 3:58Speaker 1: good morning, Mark. How are you, sir? Good. Let me check.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Anyway, I'm just calling because, you know, I keep hearing
- 4:06Speaker 5: about the midterms being a disaster for the Republicans, but
- 4:09Speaker 5: they don't really ever look back to the midterms of
- 4:11Speaker 5: 2022 when they said there was going to be this
- 4:14Speaker 5: big red wave. And it didn't materialize because we had
- 4:19Speaker 5: pretty crappy candidates back then.
- 4:21Speaker 1: And now it's going to be a blue wave. Well,
- 4:24Speaker 1: guess what?
- 4:24Speaker 5: The Democrats have a lot of crappy candidates, too.
- 4:28Speaker 1: And I don't know.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't see this wave happening. Maybe it's just me hoping.
- 4:34Speaker 2: This is all put out there to discourage you from voting.
- 4:36Speaker 2: The fake rigged polls are called suppression polls to make
- 4:40Speaker 2: you think it's hopeless so you stay at home. Don't
- 4:43Speaker 2: listen to any of them. Right now, it looks like
- 4:44Speaker 2: the Republicans.
- 4:46Speaker 1: will keep the Senate. Right now, the House is too
- 4:49Speaker 1: close to call. It's all going to be about turnout.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Don't believe these fake college polls, these fake media polls.
- 4:56Speaker 1: The metrics in them are so rigged. That college poll
- 4:59Speaker 1: last week, the sample was 80, 80, 80, 80 percent
- 5:04Speaker 1: Democrats in the sample, and they didn't use the voter rolls.
- 5:08Speaker 1: It was a terrible poll. So, Don't fall for that.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Right now, it's deadlocked as far as nobody can predict
- 5:14Speaker 1: the House. It could go either way. It's all about turnout. Republicans,
- 5:19Speaker 1: if you turn out, you'll win. If there's big Republican turnout,
- 5:22Speaker 1: definitely we'll win. Let's go to Tom, Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Tom?
- 5:27Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. Mark, why do you suppose it's called
- 5:31Speaker 3: the World Series? When only two nations are represented?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Well, for years it was one nation. It sounds good.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It sounds good. The World Series.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yeah, the same with the NBA. They claim to be
- 5:42Speaker 3: the world champions. I'd like to see it more like
- 5:44Speaker 3: the Little League World Series where they play a lot
- 5:46Speaker 3: of different countries.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I hate when they play other countries.
- 5:50Speaker 7: Oh, really?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Who the hell? I want to see them play
- 5:55Speaker 1: the Red Sox from Boston. I don't want to see
- 5:57Speaker 1: them play Peru or Finland. Who the hell wants to
- 6:00Speaker 1: see that?
- 6:01Speaker 3: Well, I'd like to see them because most of the
- 6:02Speaker 3: players in the NBA and baseball are from other countries.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Maybe that's why they consider it a world championship.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I know, but they all come here, you'll notice. I
- 6:11Speaker 1: don't know. You're right. It's not the World Series. But
- 6:15Speaker 1: I hate you. It's like when you watch the Olympics
- 6:19Speaker 1: or soccer. That's the problem with soccer. It's Norway versus Chile.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Who the hell am I supposed to root for? I mean,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I don't get it. It's different if it's like the
- 6:32Speaker 1: World Series now. It's Tampa Bay and Milwaukee. I don't know.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So you get into that National League versus American League,
- 6:41Speaker 1: whatever fan you are. But, you know, just keep it American.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Keep it American. But it looks like the World Series
- 6:48Speaker 1: could be over tonight. It's 3-0. It looks like the
- 6:51Speaker 1: most lopsided series ever. Hey, when we come back, Bill O'Reilly.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We'll talk to him next. on 710WOR.
