TJ Lanning, a fiery and gifted American speed skier who dominated downhill, super-G, and combined events, has passed away at 41. Known for his fearless style on the slopes, his career was cut short by injuries—including a career-ending accident that left him with a dislocated knee and fractured neck. Still, he claimed the 2008 U.S. downhill title and made the World Cup Finals. After retiring, he gave back as a coach for the U.S. Ski Team.
