  our

• 1:20
  that
• 1:21
  really
• 1:21
  covers
• 1:21
  things
• 1:22
  in
• 1:22
  between
• 1:22
  the

  Thanks

• 1:26
  We
• 1:26
  are
• 1:26
  having
• 1:26
  a
• 1:26
  lot
• 1:27
  of
• 1:27
  fun
• 1:27
  here
• 1:27
  in
• 1:27
  the
• 1:27
  studio
• 1:28
  this
• 1:28
  morning,
• 1:28
  cranking
• 1:29
  things
• 1:29
  out.
• 1:29
  Happy
• 1:29
  Wednesday
• 1:30
  for
• 1:30
  me
• 1:30
  here.
• 1:31
  Yeah,
• 1:31
  I
• 1:31
  try
• 1:32
  to
• 1:32
  keep
• 1:32
  these
• 1:32
  as
• 1:32
  topical
• 1:33
  as
• 1:33
  I
• 1:34
  can
• 1:34
  so
• 1:34
  we
• 1:34
  can
• 1:34
  get
• 1:35
  you
• 1:35
  some
• 1:35
  information
• 1:35
  during
• 1:36
  the
• 1:36
  week.
• 1:36
  Maybe
• 1:36
  it's
• 1:36
  a
• 1:37
  rant,
• 1:38
  maybe
• 1:38
  it's
• 1:38
  news
• 1:39
  of
• 1:39
  what's
• 1:39
  going
• 1:40
  on
• 1:40
  out
• 1:40
  there
• 1:41
  in
• 1:41
  the
• 1:41
  remodeling
• 1:42
  and
• 1:42
  construction
• 1:43
  world.
• 1:43
  It's
• 1:44
  a
• 1:44
  little
• 1:44
  wild
• 1:44
  out
• 1:45
  there
• 1:45
  right
• 1:45
  now
• 1:45
  because
• 1:46
  this
• 1:47
  is
• 1:47
  trade
• 1:47
  show
• 1:48
  season
• 1:48
  really
• 1:49
  for
• 1:49
  the
• 1:50
  design
• 1:51
  and
• 1:51
  construction
• 1:52
  industry.
• 1:52
  You
• 1:53
  start
• 1:53
  out
• 1:53
  the
• 1:53
  first
• 1:54
  week
• 1:54
  back
• 1:54
  from
• 1:54
  the
• 1:55
  holidays
• 1:55
  with
• 1:56
  the
• 1:56
  Consumer
• 1:56
  Electronics
• 1:57
  Show.
• 1:58
  Right
• 1:58
  now
• 1:59
  is
• 1:59
  World
• 1:59
  of
• 2:00
  Concrete,
• 2:00
  which
• 2:00
  also
• 2:01
  is
• 2:01
  in
• 2:02
  Las
• 2:02
  Vegas.
• 2:03
  And
• 2:03
  then
• 2:03
  in
• 2:03
  a
• 2:04
  few
• 2:04
  weeks
• 2:04
  we'll
• 2:04
  all
• 2:05
  be
• 2:05
  down
• 2:06
  in
• 2:06
  Florida
• 2:07
  in
• 2:07
  Orlando
• 2:08
  for
• 2:08
  the
• 2:09
  Kitchen
• 2:09
  and
• 2:09
  Bath
• 2:10
  Industry
• 2:10
  show
• 2:11
  or
• 2:11
  the
• 2:11
  International
• 2:12
  Builder
• 2:13
  Show.
• 2:13
  They
• 2:13
  combine
• 2:14
  those
• 2:15
  into
• 2:15
  this
• 2:15
  massive
• 2:16
  2
• 2:16
  million
• 2:16
  square
• 2:17
  foot
• 2:17
  plus
• 2:18
  trade
• 2:18
  show
• 2:19
  called
• 2:19
  Design
• 2:20
  and
• 2:20
  Construction
• 2:21
  Week.
• 2:21
  So
• 2:21
  that's
• 2:22
  where
• 2:22
  a
• 2:22
  lot
• 2:22
  of
• 2:22
  things
• 2:23
  get
• 2:23
  released.
• 2:24
  You'll
• 2:24
  see
• 2:24
  a
• 2:25
  lot
• 2:25
  of
• 2:25
  the
• 2:25
  tool
• 2:25
  companies
• 2:26
  now,
• 2:26
  especially
• 2:26
  concrete
• 2:27
  related
• 2:27
  or
• 2:28
  wood
• 2:28
  related,
• 2:29
  will
• 2:29
  be
• 2:29
  doing
• 2:29
  stuff
• 2:29
  at
• 2:30
  World
• 2:30
  of
• 2:30
  Concrete.
• 2:30
  There's
• 2:31
  not
• 2:31
  as
• 2:31
  many
• 2:31
  power
• 2:32
  tools
• 2:32
  when
• 2:32
  it
• 2:32
  comes
• 2:33
  to
• 2:33
  going
• 2:34
  to
• 2:34
  Orlando
• 2:35
  this
• 2:35
  year
• 2:35
  because
• 2:36
  they've
• 2:36
  been
• 2:36
  remodeling
• 2:37
  the
• 2:38
  convention
• 2:38
  center
• 2:38
  in
• 2:38
  Las
• 2:39
  Vegas.
• 2:39
  So
• 2:40
  next
• 2:40
  year
• 2:40
  it'll
• 2:40
  be
• 2:40
  back,
• 2:41
  which
• 2:41
  is
• 2:41
  a
• 2:41
  lot
• 2:41
  easier
• 2:42
  for
• 2:42
  me
• 2:42
  coming
• 2:42
  in
• 2:43
  from
• 2:43
  Portland
• 2:44
  to
• 2:44
  get
• 2:44
  to
• 2:44
  Las
• 2:44
  Vegas
• 2:45
  in
• 2:45
  a
• 2:45
  couple
• 2:45
  hours
• 2:46
  versus
• 2:47
  five
• 2:47
  and
• 2:47
  change
• 2:48
  to
• 2:48
  get
• 2:49
  on
• 2:49
  a
• 2:49
  direct
• 2:49
  flight
• 2:50
  to
• 2:50
  Orlando.
• 2:51
  But
• 2:51
  nonetheless,
• 2:52
  that'll
• 2:52
  be
• 2:52
  coming
• 2:53
  up.
• 2:53
  We're
• 2:53
  gonna
• 2:53
  be
• 2:54
  really
• 2:54
  spending
• 2:55
  some
• 2:55
  time
• 2:55
  showing
• 2:55
  you
• 2:56
  the
• 2:56
  best
• 2:56
  stuff
• 2:57
  that
• 2:57
  we're
• 2:57
  seeing
• 2:57
  out
• 2:58
  there
• 2:58
  in
• 2:59
  the
• 2:59
  world
• 2:59
  of
• 2:59
  home
• 2:59
  improvement.
• 3:00
  One
• 3:00
  thing
• 3:01
  I
• 3:01
  wanted
• 3:01
  to
• 3:01
  talk
• 3:01
  about
• 3:01
  today
• 3:02
  is
• 3:02
  just
• 3:02
  what's
• 3:02
  going
• 3:02
  on
• 3:03
  in
• 3:03
  the
• 3:03
  marketplace
• 3:04
  out
• 3:04
  there.
• 3:04
  So
• 3:05
  I
• 3:05
  was
• 3:05
  just
• 3:05
  looking
• 3:05
  at
• 3:06
  the
• 3:06
  national
• 3:06
  association
• 3:07
  of
• 3:07
  Home
• 3:07
  Builders.
• 3:08
  They
• 3:08
  do
• 3:08
  part
• 3:08
  of
• 3:08
  that
• 3:08
  show
• 3:09
  that
• 3:09
  I
• 3:09
  was
• 3:09
  talking
• 3:09
  about.
• 3:09
  So
• 3:10
  I've
• 3:10
  been
• 3:10
  on
• 3:10
  their
• 3:10
  webpage
• 3:11
  a
• 3:11
  lot
• 3:12
  looking
• 3:12
  at
• 3:12
  their
• 3:12
  news.
• 3:13
  They
• 3:13
  have
• 3:13
  the
• 3:13
  NAHB
• 3:14
  Wells
• 3:15
  Fargo
• 3:15
  Housing
• 3:16
  Market
• 3:16
  Index,
• 3:17
  which
• 3:17
  they
• 3:17
  call
• 3:17
  hm.
• 3:19
  It's
• 3:19
  designed
• 3:20
  to
• 3:20
  gauge
• 3:20
  track
• 3:20
  all
• 3:21
  the
• 3:21
  pulse
• 3:21
  of
• 3:21
  the
• 3:21
  single
• 3:22
  housing
• 3:22
  family
• 3:23
  market
• 3:23
  out
• 3:24
  there
• 3:24
  and
• 3:25
  Some
• 3:25
  monthly
• 3:26
  survey
• 3:27
  of
• 3:27
  single
• 3:27
  family
• 3:28
  builders
• 3:29
  and
• 3:29
  they
• 3:29
  want
• 3:29
  to
• 3:30
  get
• 3:30
  the
• 3:30
  reaction
• 3:31
  of
• 3:31
  the
• 3:31
  specific
• 3:32
  conditions
• 3:32
  of
• 3:33
  the
• 3:33
  housing
• 3:33
  market.
• 3:34
  So
• 3:34
  that's
• 3:35
  where
• 3:35
  we're
• 3:35
  at.
• 3:35
  The
• 3:35
  January
• 3:36
  2026
• 3:37
  one
• 3:37
  here.
• 3:38
  Builder
• 3:38
  confidence
• 3:39
  in
• 3:39
  the
• 3:39
  market
• 3:39
  for
• 3:39
  newly
• 3:39
  built
• 3:40
  single
• 3:40
  family
• 3:40
  homes
• 3:41
  fell
• 3:41
  2
• 3:41
  points
• 3:42
  to
• 3:42
  37
• 3:43
  in
• 3:44
  January.
• 3:44
  Not
• 3:44
  a
• 3:44
  great
• 3:45
  number.
• 3:46
  That
• 3:46
  declined
• 3:47
  basically.
• 3:47
  Again,
• 3:48
  we're
• 3:48
  seeing
• 3:48
  a
• 3:48
  couple
• 3:48
  point
• 3:49
  drops
• 3:49
  across
• 3:49
  here.
• 3:50
  Sales
• 3:50
  conditions
• 3:51
  declined
• 3:51
  1
• 3:51
  point
• 3:52
  to
• 3:52
  41.
• 3:53
  Sales
• 3:53
  expectations
• 3:54
  for
• 3:54
  the
• 3:55
  next
• 3:55
  six
• 3:56
  months
• 3:56
  fell
• 3:57
  3
• 3:57
  to
• 3:57
  49
• 3:58
  and
• 3:59
  traffic
• 3:59
  of
• 3:59
  prospective
• 4:00
  buyers
• 4:00
  dropped
• 4:01
  3
• 4:01
  points
• 4:02
  to
• 4:02
  23.
• 4:04
  So
• 4:05
  yeah,
• 4:05
  the
• 4:05
  housing
• 4:06
  market
• 4:06
  has
• 4:06
  continued
• 4:07
  to
• 4:07
  cool
• 4:07
  out
• 4:07
  there
• 4:08
  and
• 4:08
  there's
• 4:09
  a
• 4:09
  lot
• 4:09
  of
• 4:09
  reasons
• 4:10
  on
• 4:10
  that.
• 4:10
  It
• 4:10
  has
• 4:10
  also
• 4:11
  revealed
• 4:11
  that
• 4:11
  40%
• 4:12
  of
• 4:12
  builders
• 4:12
  reported
• 4:12
  cutting
• 4:13
  prices
• 4:13
  in
• 4:13
  January,
• 4:15
  unchanged
• 4:15
  from
• 4:16
  December.
• 4:17
  But
• 4:17
  it's
• 4:17
  the
• 4:17
  third
• 4:17
  consecutive
• 4:18
  month
• 4:18
  that
• 4:19
  the
• 4:19
  share
• 4:19
  has
• 4:19
  been
• 4:20
  at
• 4:20
  40%
• 4:21
  or
• 4:21
  higher
• 4:21
  since
• 4:22
  May
• 4:23
  2020
• 4:24
  tells
• 4:24
  you
• 4:25
  where
• 4:25
  we're
• 4:25
  at.
• 4:25
  And
• 4:26
  the
• 4:26
  average
• 4:26
  price
• 4:26
  reduction
• 4:27
  was
• 4:27
  6%
• 4:27
  in
• 4:28
  January,
• 4:28
  up
• 4:28
  from
• 4:28
  5%
• 4:29
  in
• 4:29
  December.
• 4:30
  The
• 4:31
  use
• 4:31
  of
• 4:31
  sales
• 4:31
  incentives
• 4:32
  was
• 4:32
  65%
• 4:33
  in
• 4:33
  January,
• 4:33
  making
• 4:34
  the
• 4:34
  10th
• 4:34
  consecutive
• 4:34
  month
• 4:35
  this
• 4:35
  share
• 4:35
  has
• 4:35
  exceeded
• 4:37
  60%.
• 4:38
  So
• 4:38
  that
• 4:38
  kind
• 4:38
  of
• 4:38
  tells
• 4:39
  us
• 4:39
  how
• 4:40
  builders
• 4:40
  are
• 4:40
  looking
• 4:40
  forward.
• 4:41
  Unless
• 4:41
  we
• 4:42
  see
• 4:43
  interest
• 4:43
  rates,
• 4:44
  unless
• 4:44
  we
• 4:45
  see
• 4:46
  all
• 4:46
  of
• 4:46
  these
• 4:47
  things
• 4:47
  dropping,
• 4:47
  including
• 4:48
  costs
• 4:48
  for
• 4:48
  building
• 4:49
  homes,
• 4:50
  we're
• 4:50
  going
• 4:50
  to
• 4:50
  see
• 4:50
  that
• 4:51
  happen.
• 4:51
  So
• 4:51
  we're
• 4:51
  going
• 4:51
  to,
• 4:51
  we're
• 4:52
  going
• 4:52
  to
• 4:52
  see
• 4:52
  this
• 4:52
  housing
• 4:53
  market
• 4:53
  be
• 4:53
  exactly
• 4:54
  what
• 4:54
  it
• 4:54
  is.
• 4:55
  There's
• 4:55
  always
• 4:55
  people,
• 4:56
  oh,
• 4:56
  it's
• 4:56
  going
• 4:56
  to
• 4:56
  crash.
• 4:57
  It's
• 4:57
  not
• 4:57
  going
• 4:57
  to
• 4:58
  crash.
• 4:59
  What
• 4:59
  we're
• 4:59
  going
• 4:59
  to
• 5:00
  see
• 5:00
  is
• 5:00
  just
• 5:01
  a
• 5:01
  low
• 5:01
  inventory
• 5:02
  out
• 5:02
  there,
• 5:02
  which
• 5:02
  means
• 5:03
  if
• 5:03
  you're
• 5:03
  out
• 5:03
  searching
• 5:03
  for
• 5:04
  a
• 5:04
  home,
• 5:04
  it's
• 5:05
  going
• 5:05
  to
• 5:05
  be
• 5:05
  a
• 5:05
  little
• 5:06
  tough.
• 5:06
  And
• 5:06
  I've
• 5:06
  noticed
• 5:07
  that
• 5:07
  we've
• 5:07
  been
• 5:07
  looking
• 5:07
  for
• 5:08
  homes
• 5:08
  around
• 5:09
  here
• 5:09
  for
• 5:10
  maybe
• 5:10
  summer
• 5:10
  to
• 5:11
  fall
• 5:11
  to
• 5:11
  pick
• 5:11
  up
• 5:12
  so
• 5:12
  I
• 5:13
  can
• 5:13
  have
• 5:13
  our
• 5:13
  next
• 5:13
  project
• 5:14
  house
• 5:14
  that
• 5:14
  we're
• 5:14
  going
• 5:14
  to
• 5:14
  live
• 5:15
  in.
• 5:15
  But
• 5:16
  the
• 5:16
  thing
• 5:16
  is
• 5:16
  bad,
• 5:17
  a
• 5:17
  lot
• 5:18
  of
• 5:18
  stuff
• 5:18
  out
• 5:18
  there.
• 5:19
  And
• 5:19
  I
• 5:19
  will
• 5:19
  tell
• 5:19
  you
• 5:20
  on
• 5:20
  a
• 5:20
  quick
• 5:20
  little
• 5:20
  rant,
• 5:21
  this
• 5:21
  is
• 5:21
  pretty
• 5:21
  funny.
• 5:22
  I
• 5:22
  have
• 5:23
  seen
• 5:23
  here
• 5:23
  in
• 5:23
  Portland
• 5:25
  some
• 5:25
  of
• 5:25
  the
• 5:25
  most
• 5:26
  God
• 5:26
  awful
• 5:27
  house
• 5:28
  flips.
• 5:29
  And
• 5:29
  I'm
• 5:29
  about
• 5:29
  to
• 5:30
  the
• 5:30
  point
• 5:30
  that
• 5:30
  I'm
• 5:30
  going
• 5:30
  to
• 5:30
  start
• 5:31
  doing
• 5:31
  a
• 5:32
  podcast
• 5:32
  on
• 5:33
  them
• 5:33
  or
• 5:33
  a
• 5:33
  video
• 5:33
  podcast
• 5:34
  on
• 5:34
  them
• 5:35
  so
• 5:35
  I
• 5:35
  can
• 5:35
  show
• 5:36
  you
• 5:36
  what
• 5:36
  I
• 5:37
  see.
• 5:37
  It's
• 5:38
  absolutely
• 5:40
  insane.
• 5:40
  And
• 5:40
  we
• 5:40
  might
• 5:41
  do
• 5:41
  that
• 5:41
  just
• 5:41
  do
• 5:41
  the
• 5:42
  crazy
• 5:42
  wait
• 5:42
  in
• 5:42
  the
• 5:42
  photos
• 5:43
  kind
• 5:43
  of
• 5:43
  thing.
• 5:43
  This
• 5:44
  would
• 5:44
  be
• 5:44
  fun
• 5:44
  just
• 5:44
  to
• 5:44
  go
• 5:45
  through
• 5:45
  and
• 5:45
  look
• 5:45
  at
• 5:45
  that.
• 5:46
  So
• 5:46
  that
• 5:46
  might
• 5:46
  be
• 5:46
  something
• 5:47
  we
• 5:47
  come
• 5:47
  up
• 5:47
  and
• 5:48
  do.
• 5:48
  And
• 5:48
  I
• 5:49
  tell
• 5:49
  you
• 5:49
  what,
• 5:49
  a
• 5:49
  lot
• 5:50
  of
• 5:50
  great
• 5:50
  stuff
• 5:50
  out
• 5:50
  there
• 5:50
  to
• 5:51
  make
• 5:51
  fun
• 5:51
  of.
• 5:51
  A
• 5:51
  couple
• 5:52
  things
• 5:52
  here
• 5:52
  I
• 5:52
  wanted
• 5:52
  to
• 5:52
  talk
• 5:53
  about.
• 5:53
  So
• 5:53
  stay
• 5:53
  tuned
• 5:54
  for
• 5:54
  that.
• 5:54
  I'm
• 5:54
  thinking
• 5:54
  of
• 5:54
  how
• 5:55
  we
• 5:55
  want
• 5:55
  to
• 5:55
  do
• 5:55
  that.
• 5:56
  But
• 5:56
  we
• 5:56
  got
• 5:56
  builder
• 5:57
  confidence
• 5:57
  dropping
• 5:58
  right
• 5:58
  now.
• 5:58
  Renovation
• 5:59
  spending
• 5:59
  is
• 6:00
  set
• 6:00
  to
• 6:00
  rise
• 6:00
  in
• 6:00
  2026.
• 6:02
  So
• 6:02
  reports
• 6:03
  for
• 6:03
  Harvard's
• 6:04
  Joint
• 6:04
  center
• 6:04
  for
• 6:04
  Housing
• 6:04
  Studies
• 6:05
  steady
• 6:05
  growth
• 6:06
  coming
• 6:06
  in
• 6:06
  this
• 6:06
  way.
• 6:07
  Mortgage
• 6:07
  rates
• 6:07
  right
• 6:07
  now
• 6:08
  dropped
• 6:08
  to
• 6:08
  three
• 6:08
  year
• 6:08
  lows,
• 6:09
  but
• 6:09
  they've
• 6:10
  been
• 6:10
  high
• 6:11
  for
• 6:11
  our
• 6:11
  generation.
• 6:12
  Right
• 6:12
  now
• 6:13
  30
• 6:13
  year
• 6:14
  fixed
• 6:14
  rates
• 6:14
  are
• 6:14
  about
• 6:14
  6.06%
• 6:16
  which
• 6:16
  is
• 6:16
  the
• 6:17
  lowest
• 6:17
  since
• 6:17
  late
• 6:18
  2022.
• 6:19
  Do
• 6:19
  I
• 6:19
  think
• 6:19
  we're
• 6:19
  going
• 6:19
  to
• 6:20
  get
• 6:20
  back
• 6:20
  to
• 6:20
  that
• 6:20
  3%?
• 6:21
  No.
• 6:22
  Are
• 6:22
  we
• 6:22
  in
• 6:22
  that
• 6:23
  20
• 6:23
  or
• 6:23
  30%?
• 6:24
  It
• 6:24
  felt
• 6:24
  like
• 6:24
  in
• 6:25
  the
• 6:25
  70s,
• 6:25
  not
• 6:26
  even
• 6:26
  close.
• 6:27
  But
• 6:27
  the
• 6:27
  problem
• 6:27
  is
• 6:28
  with
• 6:28
  everybody.
• 6:29
  With
• 6:29
  inflation
• 6:30
  over
• 6:30
  the
• 6:30
  last
• 6:30
  four
• 6:31
  years
• 6:31
  just
• 6:31
  cranking
• 6:32
  through
• 6:32
  the
• 6:32
  roof,
• 6:33
  a
• 6:33
  lot
• 6:33
  of
• 6:33
  people
• 6:34
  have
• 6:34
  less
• 6:34
  money
• 6:34
  to
• 6:35
  spend
• 6:35
  on
• 6:35
  things.
• 6:35
  So
• 6:36
  they're
• 6:36
  a
• 6:36
  little
• 6:37
  less
• 6:37
  inclined
• 6:37
  to
• 6:37
  go
• 6:37
  out
• 6:37
  and
• 6:37
  buy
• 6:38
  a
• 6:38
  house
• 6:38
  when
• 6:38
  they're
• 6:38
  going,
• 6:38
  man,
• 6:39
  I
• 6:39
  can't
• 6:39
  believe
• 6:39
  what
• 6:39
  I
• 6:40
  just
• 6:40
  paid
• 6:40
  for
• 6:40
  food
• 6:40
  at
• 6:41
  the
• 6:41
  grocery
• 6:41
  store
• 6:42
  or
• 6:42
  anything
• 6:43
  like
• 6:43
  that.
• 6:43
  Of
• 6:44
  course
• 6:44
  I'm
• 6:44
  up
• 6:44
  in
• 6:44
  the
• 6:44
  Pacific
• 6:45
  Northwest
• 6:45
  where
• 6:46
  Gasoline
• 6:46
  is
• 6:46
  still
• 6:47
  $50
• 6:48
  more
• 6:48
  than
• 6:48
  everybody
• 6:49
  else
• 6:49
  because
• 6:49
  we
• 6:49
  just
• 6:50
  like
• 6:50
  to
• 6:50
  copy
• 6:51
  California
• 6:52
  and
• 6:52
  make
• 6:52
  some
• 6:52
  bad
• 6:53
  decisions
• 6:53
  on
• 6:53
  that.
• 6:53
  So
• 6:54
  we
• 6:54
  pay
• 6:54
  a
• 6:54
  lot
• 6:55
  for
• 6:55
  our
• 6:55
  fuel
• 6:56
  out
• 6:56
  here.
• 6:57
  That
• 6:58
  does
• 6:58
  increase
• 6:59
  costs
• 7:00
  for
• 7:00
  everybody
• 7:00
  else.
• 7:01
  So
• 7:01
  that's
• 7:02
  interesting.
• 7:02
  Now
• 7:02
  one
• 7:02
  thing
• 7:03
  that
• 7:03
  I
• 7:03
  thought
• 7:03
  was
• 7:04
  interesting,
• 7:05
  I
• 7:05
  started
• 7:05
  looking
• 7:05
  up,
• 7:06
  taking
• 7:06
  a
• 7:06
  look
• 7:06
  and
• 7:07
  see
• 7:07
  where
• 7:07
  we're
• 7:07
  at
• 7:07
  with
• 7:08
  people
• 7:08
  looking
• 7:08
  at
• 7:08
  energy
• 7:09
  efficient
• 7:09
  upgrades.
• 7:11
  One
• 7:11
  thing
• 7:11
  that
• 7:11
  it
• 7:12
  seems
• 7:13
  is
• 7:13
  going
• 7:13
  to
• 7:13
  be
• 7:14
  less
• 7:14
  hot
• 7:14
  in
• 7:15
  2026
• 7:17
  is
• 7:17
  EV
• 7:18
  Chargers.
• 7:19
  The
• 7:19
  people
• 7:19
  that
• 7:20
  adopted
• 7:20
  EV
• 7:21
  have
• 7:21
  got
• 7:21
  an
• 7:21
  EV
• 7:21
  charger
• 7:22
  in
• 7:22
  their
• 7:22
  house
• 7:22
  right
• 7:23
  now.
• 7:23
  But
• 7:24
  when
• 7:24
  you
• 7:24
  look
• 7:24
  at
• 7:25
  companies
• 7:25
  like
• 7:26
  ford
• 7:27
  and
• 7:27
  their
• 7:27
  F150
• 7:28
  Lightning
• 7:29
  thought
• 7:29
  it
• 7:29
  was
• 7:29
  a
• 7:29
  cool
• 7:30
  truck.
• 7:30
  If
• 7:31
  you
• 7:31
  were
• 7:31
  a
• 7:31
  landscaper
• 7:32
  cruising
• 7:32
  around
• 7:33
  town
• 7:33
  probably
• 7:33
  made
• 7:33
  sense
• 7:34
  if
• 7:35
  you
• 7:35
  were
• 7:35
  going
• 7:35
  to
• 7:35
  use
• 7:35
  that.
• 7:35
  A
• 7:36
  regular
• 7:36
  F150
• 7:37
  and
• 7:38
  take
• 7:38
  haul
• 7:39
  the
• 7:39
  boat
• 7:39
  trailer
• 7:40
  100
• 7:40
  miles
• 7:40
  up
• 7:40
  to
• 7:40
  the
• 7:41
  lake
• 7:41
  might
• 7:41
  have
• 7:42
  a
• 7:42
  problem.
• 7:43
  But
• 7:43
  I
• 7:43
  think
• 7:43
  Ford's
• 7:44
  changing
• 7:44
  that
• 7:44
  over
• 7:44
  into
• 7:45
  using
• 7:45
  a.
• 7:46
  They're
• 7:46
  discontinuing
• 7:47
  as
• 7:47
  it
• 7:47
  is.
• 7:48
  But
• 7:48
  I
• 7:48
  think
• 7:48
  they're
• 7:48
  going
• 7:48
  to
• 7:48
  put
• 7:49
  a
• 7:49
  generator
• 7:49
  in
• 7:50
  with
• 7:50
  gas
• 7:51
  to
• 7:51
  make
• 7:51
  sure
• 7:51
  that
• 7:51
  it
• 7:51
  gets
• 7:52
  you
• 7:52
  more
• 7:52
  mileage
• 7:53
  so
• 7:53
  it'll
• 7:53
  have
• 7:54
  a
• 7:54
  small
• 7:54
  engine
• 7:54
  to
• 7:55
  generate
• 7:55
  power.
• 7:56
  Makes
• 7:56
  a
• 7:56
  lot
• 7:56
  of
• 7:56
  sense.
• 7:57
  I
• 7:57
  think
• 7:57
  that's
• 7:58
  pretty
• 7:58
  cool.
• 7:59
  But
• 7:59
  that's
• 7:59
  where
• 7:59
  you're
• 8:00
  seeing
• 8:00
  ev's
• 8:01
  going.
• 8:01
  I
• 8:02
  think
• 8:02
  you're
• 8:02
  seeing
• 8:03
  it's
• 8:03
  looking
• 8:03
  so
• 8:04
  far
• 8:04
  at
• 8:04
  least
• 8:04
  that
• 8:04
  the
• 8:04
  sales
• 8:05
  have
• 8:05
  snuck
• 8:05
  down
• 8:06
  a
• 8:06
  little
• 8:06
  bit.
• 8:06
  And
• 8:07
  amazing
• 8:07
  when
• 8:08
  you
• 8:08
  take
• 8:08
  that
• 8:09
  many
• 8:09
  thousands
• 8:09
  of
• 8:09
  dollars
• 8:10
  of
• 8:10
  incentives
• 8:10
  out
• 8:11
  of
• 8:11
  it.
• 8:11
  You're
• 8:12
  basically
• 8:12
  paying
• 8:12
  people
• 8:13
  to
• 8:13
  take
• 8:13
  to
• 8:14
  go
• 8:14
  buy
• 8:14
  electric
• 8:14
  vehicles.
• 8:15
  Those
• 8:16
  sales
• 8:16
  are
• 8:16
  down.
• 8:17
  So
• 8:17
  we'll
• 8:17
  see
• 8:18
  what
• 8:18
  happens
• 8:18
  there.
• 8:18
  But
• 8:18
  I
• 8:19
  think
• 8:19
  it's
• 8:19
  one
• 8:19
  of
• 8:19
  those
• 8:19
  things
• 8:19
  that
• 8:20
  t
• 8:20
  chargers
• 8:21
  are
• 8:21
  going
• 8:21
  to
• 8:21
  be
• 8:21
  down
• 8:21
  a
• 8:21
  little
• 8:21
  bit.
• 8:22
  I
• 8:23
  think
• 8:23
  also
• 8:24
  homeowners
• 8:25
  are
• 8:25
  looking
• 8:25
  to
• 8:25
  spend
• 8:27
  money
• 8:27
  on
• 8:27
  H
• 8:28
  Vac
• 8:29
  systems
• 8:29
  that
• 8:30
  are
• 8:30
  more
• 8:30
  efficient,
• 8:31
  I
• 8:31
  think
• 8:31
  with
• 8:32
  the
• 8:32
  current
• 8:32
  pricing
• 8:33
  of
• 8:33
  them
• 8:33
  and
• 8:34
  not
• 8:35
  complaining
• 8:35
  to
• 8:35
  the
• 8:36
  H
• 8:36
  Vac
• 8:36
  industry
• 8:37
  about
• 8:37
  this,
• 8:37
  but
• 8:37
  I
• 8:38
  think
• 8:38
  we're
• 8:39
  going
• 8:39
  to
• 8:39
  see
• 8:39
  a
• 8:39
  little
• 8:39
  less
• 8:39
  than
• 8:40
  that
• 8:40
  in
• 8:40
  my
• 8:40
  area
• 8:41
  here.
• 8:41
  Our
• 8:41
  H
• 8:42
  Vac
• 8:42
  contractors
• 8:43
  around
• 8:43
  here
• 8:44
  are
• 8:44
  struggling
• 8:45
  because
• 8:46
  all
• 8:46
  of
• 8:46
  a
• 8:46
  sudden
• 8:47
  that
• 8:48
  $7,000
• 8:48
  heat
• 8:49
  pump
• 8:49
  that
• 8:49
  people
• 8:49
  thought
• 8:49
  they
• 8:50
  were
• 8:50
  putting
• 8:50
  in
• 8:50
  is
• 8:50
  now
• 8:51
  $25,000
• 8:52
  and
• 8:52
  they're
• 8:53
  going,
• 8:53
  holy
• 8:53
  smokes,
• 8:53
  I
• 8:54
  can't
• 8:54
  afford
• 8:54
  that.
• 8:55
  So
• 8:55
  you're
• 8:55
  seeing
• 8:56
  financing
• 8:57
  coming
• 8:57
  up
• 8:58
  0%.
• 8:58
  You're
• 8:59
  seeing
• 8:59
  all
• 8:59
  these
• 8:59
  different
• 9:00
  sales
• 9:00
  techniques
• 9:01
  to
• 9:01
  get
• 9:01
  people
• 9:01
  to
• 9:01
  buy.
• 9:02
  So
• 9:02
  I
• 9:03
  think
• 9:03
  right
• 9:03
  now
• 9:03
  we
• 9:03
  see
• 9:04
  in
• 9:04
  the
• 9:04
  H
• 9:04
  Vac
• 9:04
  industry
• 9:05
  out
• 9:05
  there
• 9:05
  people
• 9:05
  going,
• 9:06
  hey,
• 9:06
  I'm
• 9:07
  going
• 9:07
  to
• 9:07
  maintain
• 9:07
  this.
• 9:07
  I'm
• 9:08
  going
• 9:08
  to
• 9:08
  keep
• 9:08
  this
• 9:08
  thing
• 9:08
  going
• 9:09
  along
• 9:09
  the
• 9:10
  road
• 9:11
  as
• 9:11
  best
• 9:11
  as
• 9:11
  I
• 9:11
  can
• 9:12
  and
• 9:13
  make
• 9:13
  sure
• 9:13
  that
• 9:13
  it's.
• 9:13
  We're
• 9:14
  doing
• 9:14
  good
• 9:14
  with
• 9:15
  that
• 9:15
  to
• 9:15
  keep
• 9:15
  it
• 9:15
  moving.
• 9:16
  Because
• 9:16
  they
• 9:16
  don't
• 9:17
  want
• 9:17
  to
• 9:17
  spend
• 9:17
  25
• 9:17
  grand
• 9:18
  when
• 9:18
  money
• 9:18
  is
• 9:18
  a
• 9:18
  little
• 9:18
  tight.
• 9:19
  Now,
• 9:20
  I
• 9:20
  was
• 9:20
  watching
• 9:20
  the
• 9:20
  presidents.
• 9:21
  We're
• 9:21
  now
• 9:21
  getting
• 9:22
  a
• 9:22
  politics
• 9:22
  here
• 9:22
  because
• 9:23
  I
• 9:23
  tell
• 9:23
  you
• 9:23
  what,
• 9:23
  there
• 9:23
  is
• 9:23
  not
• 9:24
  one
• 9:24
  person
• 9:24
  in
• 9:24
  the
• 9:24
  world
• 9:25
  that
• 9:25
  has
• 9:26
  probably
• 9:26
  changed
• 9:26
  their
• 9:27
  mind
• 9:27
  off
• 9:27
  of
• 9:28
  seeing
• 9:28
  something
• 9:28
  on
• 9:28
  social
• 9:29
  media
• 9:30
  about
• 9:30
  a
• 9:30
  post
• 9:31
  or
• 9:31
  anything
• 9:32
  else.
• 9:32
  It's
• 9:32
  usually
• 9:33
  just
• 9:33
  an
• 9:33
  echo
• 9:34
  chamber
• 9:34
  when
• 9:34
  somebody
• 9:34
  posts
• 9:35
  up
• 9:35
  some,
• 9:36
  we'll
• 9:36
  call
• 9:36
  it
• 9:36
  political
• 9:36
  speak
• 9:37
  no
• 9:37
  matter
• 9:37
  what
• 9:37
  side
• 9:38
  you're
• 9:38
  on.
• 9:39
  I
• 9:39
  don't
• 9:39
  think
• 9:39
  I've
• 9:39
  ever
• 9:39
  seen
• 9:40
  somebody
• 9:40
  go,
• 9:40
  wow,
• 9:40
  I
• 9:41
  never
• 9:41
  thought
• 9:41
  of
• 9:41
  that.
• 9:41
  I've
• 9:42
  changed
• 9:42
  my
• 9:42
  mind.
• 9:43
  A
• 9:43
  broken
• 9:44
  clock
• 9:44
  has
• 9:44
  rate
• 9:44
  twice
• 9:44
  a
• 9:45
  day.
• 9:45
  But
• 9:45
  our
• 9:46
  tribalism
• 9:46
  today
• 9:47
  is
• 9:47
  crazy.
• 9:48
  But
• 9:48
  really
• 9:48
  I
• 9:49
  think
• 9:49
  that
• 9:49
  we
• 9:49
  are
• 9:49
  going
• 9:50
  to
• 9:50
  see
• 9:50
  with
• 9:50
  our
• 9:50
  labor
• 9:51
  shortages
• 9:52
  and
• 9:52
  some
• 9:52
  of
• 9:53
  the
• 9:53
  interesting
• 9:54
  things
• 9:54
  that
• 9:54
  we're
• 9:54
  seeing
• 9:55
  out
• 9:55
  there,
• 9:55
  it's
• 9:56
  going
• 9:56
  to
• 9:56
  take
• 9:56
  interest
• 9:56
  rates
• 9:57
  dropping
• 9:57
  significantly.
• 9:58
  Now,
• 9:59
  if
• 9:59
  the
• 9:59
  president
• 10:00
  puts
• 10:00
  in
• 10:01
  his
• 10:01
  own
• 10:01
  Fed
• 10:02
  chairman,
• 10:02
  we
• 10:02
  could
• 10:03
  see
• 10:03
  a
• 10:03
  point
• 10:03
  or
• 10:03
  two
• 10:04
  drop
• 10:04
  down
• 10:05
  and
• 10:05
  things
• 10:05
  get
• 10:05
  a
• 10:06
  little
• 10:06
  crazy
• 10:06
  out
• 10:06
  there,
• 10:07
  which
• 10:07
  could
• 10:08
  jump
• 10:09
  just
• 10:10
  jumpstart
• 10:10
  the
• 10:11
  housing
• 10:11
  industry
• 10:11
  out
• 10:12
  there.
• 10:12
  Now,
• 10:13
  we've
• 10:13
  talked
• 10:14
  about
• 10:14
  it
• 10:14
  in
• 10:14
  the
• 10:14
  past.
• 10:14
  I'm
• 10:15
  not
• 10:15
  gonna
• 10:15
  re
• 10:16
  rehash
• 10:16
  to
• 10:16
  you
• 10:16
  guys
• 10:17
  and
• 10:17
  tell
• 10:17
  you
• 10:17
  the
• 10:17
  same
• 10:17
  thing
• 10:17
  over
• 10:18
  and
• 10:18
  over
• 10:18
  again.
• 10:18
  But
• 10:19
  in
• 10:19
  certain
• 10:19
  states,
• 10:19
  like
• 10:20
  out
• 10:20
  here
• 10:20
  on
• 10:20
  the
• 10:20
  west
• 10:20
  coast,
• 10:21
  we
• 10:21
  have
• 10:21
  places
• 10:22
  we
• 10:22
  can't
• 10:22
  build.
• 10:22
  So
• 10:23
  if
• 10:23
  they
• 10:23
  can
• 10:23
  open
• 10:23
  that
• 10:24
  stuff
• 10:24
  up,
• 10:25
  make
• 10:25
  things
• 10:25
  a
• 10:25
  little
• 10:25
  bit
• 10:26
  easier
• 10:27
  for
• 10:27
  builders
• 10:27
  out
• 10:28
  there,
• 10:28
  the
• 10:29
  paperwork
• 10:29
  that
• 10:30
  you're
• 10:30
  seeing
• 10:30
  for
• 10:30
  these
• 10:30
  guys
• 10:30
  to
• 10:31
  get
• 10:31
  a
• 10:31
  house
• 10:31
  built
• 10:31
  is
• 10:32
  absolutely
• 10:33
  insane
• 10:34
  of
• 10:34
  the
• 10:35
  hoops
• 10:35
  that
• 10:35
  you
• 10:35
  have
• 10:35
  to
• 10:35
  jump
• 10:36
  through
• 10:36
  the
• 10:36
  taxes
• 10:37
  you
• 10:37
  have
• 10:37
  to
• 10:37
  pay,
• 10:38
  the
• 10:38
  development
• 10:39
  fees
• 10:39
  you
• 10:39
  have
• 10:39
  to
• 10:40
  pay.
• 10:40
  We
• 10:41
  have
• 10:41
  to
• 10:41
  do
• 10:41
  that
• 10:42
  to
• 10:42
  get
• 10:42
  affordable
• 10:43
  housing
• 10:43
  figured
• 10:43
  out.
• 10:43
  And
• 10:44
  I
• 10:44
  tell
• 10:44
  you
• 10:44
  what,
• 10:45
  one
• 10:45
  of
• 10:45
  these
• 10:45
  days,
• 10:46
  when
• 10:46
  someone
• 10:47
  investigates
• 10:48
  places
• 10:49
  like
• 10:49
  the
• 10:49
  city
• 10:49
  of
• 10:50
  Portland,
• 10:51
  the
• 10:51
  city
• 10:51
  of
• 10:52
  Seattle,
• 10:53
  all
• 10:53
  of
• 10:53
  these
• 10:54
  major
• 10:54
  west
• 10:54
  coast
• 10:55
  cities,
• 10:55
  when
• 10:55
  someone
• 10:56
  decides
• 10:56
  one
• 10:57
  day
• 10:58
  to
• 10:58
  do
• 10:58
  an
• 10:58
  audit
• 10:59
  of
• 11:00
  what
• 11:00
  they're
• 11:00
  spending
• 11:01
  for
• 11:02
  these
• 11:02
  places
• 11:02
  that
• 11:03
  they're
• 11:03
  building,
• 11:03
  and
• 11:04
  I'm
• 11:04
  going
• 11:04
  to
• 11:04
  use
• 11:04
  air
• 11:04
  quotes
• 11:05
  for
• 11:05
  affordable
• 11:05
  housing.
• 11:06
  When
• 11:07
  you're
• 11:07
  seeing
• 11:07
  some
• 11:07
  of
• 11:07
  these
• 11:08
  projects
• 11:08
  have
• 11:09
  twice
• 11:10
  the
• 11:10
  square
• 11:10
  footage
• 11:11
  price
• 11:12
  per
• 11:12
  square
• 11:12
  foot
• 11:13
  because
• 11:13
  it's
• 11:13
  the
• 11:14
  city
• 11:14
  or
• 11:15
  a
• 11:15
  municipality
• 11:16
  that's
• 11:16
  building
• 11:16
  it
• 11:17
  versus
• 11:17
  having
• 11:18
  a
• 11:19
  builder
• 11:19
  do
• 11:19
  it,
• 11:20
  you're
• 11:20
  going
• 11:20
  to
• 11:21
  start
• 11:21
  to
• 11:21
  see
• 11:21
  that,
• 11:21
  wow,
• 11:22
  this
• 11:22
  money
• 11:22
  is
• 11:22
  going
• 11:23
  everywhere.
• 11:24
  It's
• 11:25
  just
• 11:25
  like
• 11:25
  here
• 11:26
  in
• 11:26
  my
• 11:26
  area.
• 11:26
  And
• 11:27
  this
• 11:27
  was
• 11:27
  a
• 11:27
  crazy
• 11:27
  one
• 11:28
  this
• 11:28
  week.
• 11:29
  We
• 11:29
  just
• 11:29
  saw
• 11:30
  some
• 11:30
  just
• 11:31
  absolute
• 11:31
  massive
• 11:32
  fraud
• 11:32
  because
• 11:33
  they're
• 11:33
  trying
• 11:33
  to
• 11:33
  rebuild
• 11:35
  the
• 11:35
  two
• 11:35
  bridges
• 11:35
  on
• 11:36
  i5
• 11:36
  that
• 11:36
  go
• 11:37
  between
• 11:37
  Oregon
• 11:37
  and
• 11:37
  Washington.
• 11:38
  So
• 11:38
  they
• 11:39
  had
• 11:39
  a
• 11:39
  meeting
• 11:39
  in
• 11:39
  December.
• 11:40
  They
• 11:40
  went,
• 11:40
  hey,
• 11:41
  this
• 11:41
  is
• 11:42
  pretty
• 11:42
  crazy.
• 11:42
  We
• 11:42
  need
• 11:42
  to
• 11:42
  have
• 11:43
  our
• 11:43
  numbers
• 11:43
  for
• 11:43
  this
• 11:44
  project.
• 11:44
  We're
• 11:44
  getting
• 11:44
  ready
• 11:45
  to
• 11:45
  break
• 11:45
  ground.
• 11:46
  And
• 11:46
  the
• 11:47
  group
• 11:48
  of
• 11:48
  people
• 11:48
  running
• 11:48
  it,
• 11:49
  I
• 11:49
  think
• 11:49
  for
• 11:49
  most
• 11:49
  of
• 11:49
  the
• 11:50
  state
• 11:50
  of
• 11:50
  Oregon,
• 11:51
  told
• 11:51
  the
• 11:51
  legislatures
• 11:53
  members
• 11:53
  from
• 11:54
  Washington,
• 11:54
  Oregon,
• 11:55
  we
• 11:55
  don't
• 11:55
  have
• 11:55
  pricing
• 11:56
  for
• 11:56
  that
• 11:56
  project
• 11:56
  yet.
• 11:57
  It
• 11:57
  was
• 11:57
  like
• 11:57
  at
• 11:57
  6
• 11:58
  billion
• 11:59
  plus
• 11:59
  dollars,
• 12:00
  we
• 12:00
  don't
• 12:00
  have
• 12:00
  pricing.
• 12:01
  We
• 12:01
  haven't
• 12:01
  had
• 12:01
  it
• 12:01
  for
• 12:02
  the
• 12:02
  last
• 12:02
  year.
• 12:02
  We'll
• 12:02
  get
• 12:02
  it
• 12:03
  to
• 12:03
  you
• 12:03
  shortly.
• 12:04
  Come
• 12:04
  to
• 12:04
  find
• 12:04
  out
• 12:04
  with
• 12:05
  Freedom
• 12:05
  of
• 12:05
  Information
• 12:05
  Acts,
• 12:06
  our
• 12:06
  people
• 12:06
  over
• 12:06
  at
• 12:07
  Willamette
• 12:07
  Week
• 12:08
  figured
• 12:08
  out,
• 12:08
  yeah,
• 12:09
  they
• 12:09
  got
• 12:09
  a
• 12:09
  price
• 12:09
  for
• 12:10
  it.
• 12:10
  They
• 12:11
  just
• 12:11
  were
• 12:11
  trying
• 12:11
  to
• 12:11
  hide
• 12:12
  it
• 12:12
  and
• 12:13
  now
• 12:13
  it's
• 12:13
  at
• 12:13
  13.6
• 12:14
  billion.
• 12:15
  So
• 12:15
  you
• 12:15
  can
• 12:15
  see
• 12:15
  how
• 12:15
  this
• 12:15
  stuff
• 12:16
  goes
• 12:16
  out
• 12:16
  here.
• 12:17
  Crazy
• 12:17
  stuff.
• 12:18
  And
• 12:18
  I'll
• 12:18
  be
• 12:18
  honest,
• 12:18
  I
• 12:18
  think
• 12:19
  they're
• 12:19
  way
• 12:19
  low
• 12:19
  on
• 12:20
  that.
• 12:20
  I
• 12:20
  bet
• 12:20
  you
• 12:20
  it's
• 12:20
  going
• 12:21
  to
• 12:21
  be
• 12:21
  23
• 12:22
  to
• 12:22
  25
• 12:22
  billion
• 12:23
  by
• 12:23
  the
• 12:23
  time
• 12:23
  it's
• 12:24
  done.
• 12:24
  And
• 12:25
  they
• 12:25
  want
• 12:25
  to
• 12:25
  start
• 12:25
  the
• 12:25
  project
• 12:26
  even
• 12:26
  though
• 12:26
  they
• 12:27
  don't
• 12:27
  have
• 12:27
  funding
• 12:28
  for
• 12:28
  it.
• 12:29
  So
• 12:29
  we'll
• 12:29
  see
• 12:30
  what
• 12:30
  happens.
• 12:30
  It's
• 12:31
  absolutely
• 12:31
  crazy
• 12:32
  how
• 12:32
  this
• 12:32
  stuff
• 12:33
  goes.
• 12:33
  And
• 12:34
  a
• 12:34
  simple
• 12:34
  tunnel
• 12:34
  could
• 12:35
  have
• 12:35
  fixed
• 12:35
  that
• 12:35
  whole
• 12:36
  problem
• 12:36
  and
• 12:36
  they
• 12:37
  would
• 12:37
  have
• 12:37
  had
• 12:37
  something
• 12:37
  that
• 12:37
  would
• 12:38
  probably
• 12:38
  be
• 12:38
  cheaper,
• 12:39
  quicker
• 12:40
  and
• 12:40
  less
• 12:40
  disruptive
• 12:41
  and
• 12:42
  you
• 12:42
  wouldn't
• 12:42
  have
• 12:42
  to
• 12:42
  buy
• 12:43
  all
• 12:43
  this
• 12:44
  land
• 12:45
  that
• 12:45
  they're
• 12:45
  having
• 12:45
  to
• 12:45
  buy
• 12:46
  now
• 12:46
  just
• 12:46
  to
• 12:46
  tear
• 12:46
  it
• 12:47
  down
• 12:47
  to
• 12:47
  make
• 12:47
  the
• 12:47
  freeway
• 12:48
  wider
• 12:48
  and
• 12:48
  to
• 12:48
  put
• 12:48
  this
• 12:49
  new
• 12:49
  bridge
• 12:49
  out.
• 12:49
  The
• 12:49
  bridge
• 12:50
  got
• 12:50
  to
• 12:50
  be
• 12:50
  replaced,
• 12:51
  but
• 12:52
  we're
• 12:52
  seeing
• 12:52
  that
• 12:53
  kind
• 12:53
  of
• 12:53
  thing
• 12:53
  around
• 12:53
  here.
• 12:54
  1.
• 12:55
  Another
• 12:55
  quick
• 12:55
  note,
• 12:56
  real
• 12:56
  quick,
• 12:56
  before
• 12:56
  we
• 12:57
  run
• 12:57
  out
• 12:57
  of
• 12:57
  time
• 12:57
  here.
• 12:58
  I
• 12:58
  am
• 12:58
  starting
• 12:58
  to
• 12:58
  do
• 12:59
  an
• 12:59
  investigation
• 13:00
  about
• 13:00
  this
• 13:01
  group
• 13:01
  of
• 13:01
  homeowners
• 13:03
  in
• 13:03
  my
• 13:03
  area
• 13:04
  here.
• 13:05
  And
• 13:05
  it's
• 13:05
  an
• 13:05
  affordable
• 13:06
  housing
• 13:06
  one.
• 13:07
  You're
• 13:07
  gonna
• 13:07
  love
• 13:08
  this.
• 13:08
  So
• 13:09
  we've
• 13:09
  got
• 13:09
  a
• 13:09
  group
• 13:09
  of
• 13:09
  homeowners,
• 13:10
  an
• 13:11
  architect.
• 13:12
  We
• 13:13
  have
• 13:13
  a
• 13:14
  Habitat
• 13:14
  for
• 13:15
  Humanity
• 13:15
  and
• 13:15
  the
• 13:16
  city
• 13:16
  of
• 13:16
  Portland.
• 13:17
  And
• 13:17
  right
• 13:18
  now
• 13:18
  the
• 13:18
  homeowners
• 13:19
  are
• 13:19
  getting
• 13:20
  the
• 13:20
  absolute
• 13:21
  shaft
• 13:21
  two
• 13:22
  years
• 13:23
  after
• 13:23
  moving
• 13:23
  in
• 13:24
  where.
• 13:25
  And
• 13:26
  we're
• 13:26
  gonna
• 13:26
  find
• 13:26
  out
• 13:26
  who's
• 13:27
  really
• 13:27
  a
• 13:27
  fault
• 13:27
  here.
• 13:28
  I
• 13:28
  have
• 13:28
  got
• 13:28
  probably
• 13:29
  hundreds
• 13:29
  of
• 13:29
  documents
• 13:30
  to
• 13:30
  go
• 13:30
  through
• 13:30
  and.
• 13:31
  And
• 13:31
  my
• 13:31
  shoulder
• 13:32
  surgery
• 13:32
  that
• 13:32
  was
• 13:32
  supposed
• 13:33
  to
• 13:33
  be
• 13:33
  Friday,
• 13:33
  of
• 13:33
  course,
• 13:33
  just
• 13:34
  got
• 13:34
  moved
• 13:34
  till
• 13:35
  Wednesday
• 13:35
  of
• 13:35
  next
• 13:36
  week.
• 13:37
  So
• 13:37
  they
• 13:37
  had
• 13:37
  something
• 13:37
  break
• 13:38
  down,
• 13:38
  so
• 13:38
  they
• 13:38
  pushed
• 13:39
  me
• 13:39
  out
• 13:39
  a
• 13:39
  little
• 13:39
  bit.
• 13:39
  So
• 13:40
  I'm
• 13:40
  gonna
• 13:40
  be
• 13:41
  working
• 13:41
  on
• 13:41
  this
• 13:41
  story
• 13:42
  to
• 13:42
  find
• 13:42
  out
• 13:43
  why
• 13:43
  this
• 13:44
  hasn't
• 13:44
  been
• 13:44
  taken
• 13:44
  care
• 13:45
  of.
• 13:45
  We've
• 13:46
  got
• 13:46
  a.
• 13:46
  We've
• 13:46
  got
• 13:47
  fire
• 13:47
  inspectors
• 13:48
  involved.
• 13:48
  There
• 13:49
  was
• 13:49
  people,
• 13:49
  I
• 13:50
  think,
• 13:50
  looking
• 13:50
  the
• 13:50
  other
• 13:51
  way
• 13:51
  on
• 13:51
  the
• 13:51
  permit
• 13:52
  process.
• 13:53
  So
• 13:53
  I
• 13:53
  think
• 13:54
  we've
• 13:54
  got
• 13:54
  multiple
• 13:55
  people
• 13:55
  at
• 13:55
  fault
• 13:55
  here.
• 13:55
  But
• 13:55
  I
• 13:56
  really
• 13:56
  want
• 13:56
  to
• 13:56
  defend
• 13:58
  these
• 13:58
  poor
• 13:59
  homeowners
• 13:59
  that
• 14:00
  moved
• 14:00
  into
• 14:00
  a
• 14:00
  Habitat
• 14:01
  for
• 14:01
  Humanity
• 14:02
  project
• 14:03
  that,
• 14:04
  quite
• 14:04
  frankly,
• 14:04
  for
• 14:04
  what
• 14:05
  I'm
• 14:05
  seeing
• 14:05
  so
• 14:06
  far.
• 14:06
  And
• 14:06
  again,
• 14:06
  I'm
• 14:07
  early
• 14:07
  on
• 14:07
  in
• 14:07
  the
• 14:07
  investigation
• 14:08
  in
• 14:08
  this.
• 14:09
  We're
• 14:09
  going
• 14:09
  to
• 14:09
  do
• 14:09
  a
• 14:09
  whole
• 14:10
  story
• 14:10
  on
• 14:10
  this,
• 14:10
  probably
• 14:11
  an
• 14:11
  episode
• 14:12
  of
• 14:12
  what
• 14:12
  went
• 14:13
  wrong
• 14:14
  so
• 14:14
  we
• 14:14
  can
• 14:14
  all
• 14:14
  learn.
• 14:15
  And
• 14:15
  this
• 14:15
  is
• 14:15
  going
• 14:15
  to
• 14:15
  be.
• 14:16
  This.
• 14:16
  This
• 14:16
  is
• 14:16
  going
• 14:16
  to
• 14:16
  be
• 14:16
  a
• 14:16
  lot
• 14:17
  like
• 14:17
  Dateline
• 14:17
  NBC
• 14:18
  the
• 14:18
  way
• 14:19
  this
• 14:19
  goes.
• 14:19
  We'll
• 14:19
  have
• 14:19
  to
• 14:19
  see
• 14:20
  which
• 14:20
  direction
• 14:20
  it
• 14:20
  goes
• 14:21
  in
• 14:21
  this,
• 14:21
  because
• 14:21
  I
• 14:22
  don't
• 14:22
  have
• 14:22
  any
• 14:22
  preconceived
• 14:23
  notions
• 14:23
  other
• 14:24
  than
• 14:25
  these
• 14:25
  homeowners
• 14:26
  are
• 14:26
  getting
• 14:26
  the
• 14:26
  shaft.
• 14:27
  So
• 14:28
  the
• 14:28
  people
• 14:28
  I'm
• 14:28
  looking
• 14:28
  at
• 14:29
  right
• 14:29
  now
• 14:29
  is
• 14:29
  going
• 14:29
  to
• 14:30
  be
• 14:30
  the
• 14:31
  architect,
• 14:32
  Habitat
• 14:32
  for
• 14:33
  Humanity,
• 14:34
  the
• 14:35
  Portland
• 14:35
  Fire
• 14:35
  and
• 14:36
  Rescue,
• 14:37
  their
• 14:37
  fire
• 14:38
  inspectors,
• 14:38
  and
• 14:38
  of
• 14:39
  course,
• 14:39
  the
• 14:39
  Portland
• 14:40
  building
• 14:40
  department.
• 14:41
  So
• 14:41
  we're
• 14:41
  going
• 14:41
  to
• 14:41
  take
• 14:42
  a
• 14:42
  look
• 14:42
  and
• 14:42
  see
• 14:42
  we
• 14:42
  can
• 14:42
  find
• 14:43
  here.
• 14:43
  This
• 14:43
  is
• 14:43
  going
• 14:43
  to
• 14:43
  be
• 14:44
  an
• 14:44
  interesting
• 14:44
  one,
• 14:45
  and
• 14:45
  I'm
• 14:45
  excited
• 14:45
  to
• 14:45
  take
• 14:46
  a
• 14:46
  look
• 14:46
  at
• 14:46
  it
• 14:46
  because
• 14:46
  we're
• 14:47
  going
• 14:47
  to
• 14:47
  do
• 14:47
  a
• 14:47
  deep
• 14:47
  dive
• 14:48
  and
• 14:48
  have
• 14:49
  a
• 14:49
  really
• 14:49
  good
• 14:49
  story
• 14:49
  with
• 14:50
  some
• 14:50
  interviews
• 14:50
  with
• 14:50
  people,
• 14:51
  and
• 14:51
  we're
• 14:51
  going
• 14:51
  to
• 14:51
  get
• 14:52
  to
• 14:52
  the
• 14:52
  bottom
• 14:52
  of
• 14:52
  this
• 14:52
  one
• 14:52
  because
• 14:53
  right
• 14:54
  now
• 14:54
  these
• 14:55
  people
• 14:55
  moved
• 14:56
  in
• 14:56
  and
• 14:56
  they
• 14:56
  are
• 14:57
  the
• 14:57
  victims
• 14:58
  right
• 14:58
  now.
• 14:58
  And
• 14:58
  we're
• 14:59
  going
• 14:59
  to
• 14:59
  see
• 14:59
  if
• 14:59
  we
• 14:59
  can
• 14:59
  figure
• 14:59
  it
• 14:59
  out
• 15:00
  and
• 15:00
  expose
• 15:01
  the
• 15:01
  problems
• 15:02
  so
• 15:02
  this
• 15:02
  stuff
• 15:02
  doesn't
• 15:03
  happen
• 15:03
  again.
• 15:04
  All
• 15:05
  right,
• 15:05
  everybody,
• 15:05
  we
• 15:05
  got
• 15:05
  a
• 15:05
  great
• 15:06
  show
• 15:06
  coming
• 15:06
  up
• 15:06
  this
• 15:06
  weekend.
• 15:07
  Can't
• 15:07
  wait
• 15:07
  to
• 15:08
  share
• 15:08
  with
• 15:08
  you
• 15:08
  here
• 15:08
  in
• 15:09
  a
• 15:09
  day
• 15:09
  or
• 15:09
  two.
• 15:10
  And
• 15:10
  of
• 15:10
  course,
• 15:10
  we'll
• 15:11
  be
• 15:11
  back
• 15:11
  next
• 15:11
  week
• 15:12
  as
• 15:12
  well.
• 15:12
  No
• 15:12
  Best
• 15:12
  of
• 15:13
  shows
• 15:13
  right
• 15:13
  now.
• 15:13
  I
• 15:14
  think
• 15:14
  I'm
• 15:14
  going
• 15:14
  to
• 15:14
  be
• 15:15
  able
• 15:15
  to
• 15:15
  power
• 15:15
  through
• 15:15
  with
• 15:15
  surgery
• 15:16
  and
• 15:16
  stuff
• 15:17
  and
• 15:17
  get
• 15:17
  through
• 15:17
  all
• 15:17
  that.
• 15:18
  And
• 15:19
  I
• 15:19
  know
• 15:19
  it's
• 15:19
  just
• 15:19
  a
• 15:20
  shoulder.
• 15:20
  It's
• 15:20
  not
• 15:21
  like
• 15:21
  I
• 15:21
  can't
• 15:21
  walk.
• 15:21
  But
• 15:21
  it's
• 15:22
  going
• 15:22
  to
• 15:22
  be
• 15:22
  a
• 15:22
  little
• 15:22
  interesting
• 15:22
  to
• 15:23
  see
• 15:23
  how
• 15:23
  it
• 15:23
  works
• 15:23
  with
• 15:23
  the
• 15:23
  schedule,
• 15:24
  but
• 15:24
  I
• 15:24
  think
• 15:25
  we've
• 15:25
  got
• 15:25
  it
• 15:25
  covered.
• 15:26
  Have
• 15:26
  a
• 15:26
  great
• 15:27
  rest
• 15:27
  of
• 15:28
