- 2:12Speaker 4: as we are calling it on this show, and you'll
- 2:15Speaker 4: see soon with our fresh merch dunking it.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna call it dunking Egg. Okay, that's how I
- 2:21Speaker 1: remember it. That's how I know who we're talking about.
- 2:24Speaker 3: That's the name names you, dunking Egg. You know what
- 2:28Speaker 3: I mean?
- 2:29Speaker 2: Like yeah, and that.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Name I mean I thought House of Dragons with a
- 2:34Speaker 3: terrible name.
- 2:35Speaker 2: No listen, I thought just their actual names.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I love how even the people on the show are like,
- 2:41Speaker 1: your mama really named you Dunk?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Like that's a terrible name.
- 2:44Speaker 3: So it's dunking, you know, to be fair, yeah, man, but.
- 2:49Speaker 2: For him to need it's not though.
- 2:53Speaker 6: He's okay, So here's the story.
- 2:55Speaker 4: I mean, my man is a liar that knows what
- 2:57Speaker 4: I'm saying. Well, we'll get into that, but all right,
- 3:00Speaker 4: just on his name, you know, please.
- 3:03Speaker 5: He he's from Flea Bottom. He like we saw the
- 3:07Speaker 5: flashback to him being like trying to get out or whatever,
- 3:09Speaker 5: and the him talking to the girl, and the girl
- 3:11Speaker 5: was like, gotta go. He has never had he didn't
- 3:16Speaker 5: really have a name, or he didn't he doesn't.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Remember going by a name while he was in Flea Bottom.
- 3:20Speaker 5: And so when he linked up with the Hedge Knight,
- 3:22Speaker 5: Sir Arn, who was his like mentor who he prenticed
- 3:26Speaker 5: you basically, who was squaring for, he could just call
- 3:30Speaker 5: him Dunk.
- 3:31Speaker 6: And so all he remembers is Dunk. You don't remember
- 3:33Speaker 6: nothing else.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Okay, So this.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Is a Flea Bottom and now we're here.
- 3:41Speaker 6: They called him a sad Hedge Night.
- 3:42Speaker 1: The man's sad Hedge Knights are bomb ass Nights right
- 3:46Speaker 1: or wanna bees?
- 3:47Speaker 6: Right?
- 3:48Speaker 4: I mean they have nowhere else to sleep but the hedges, right,
- 3:52Speaker 4: I mean.
- 3:53Speaker 3: That, you know, broke as you know, like struggle.
- 3:57Speaker 5: It's the way that like Sir Darren like has him
- 4:02Speaker 5: over here like saying stuff like, oh, he always said
- 4:04Speaker 5: that hedge knights are better than lit like then like
- 4:07Speaker 5: knights that are sworn because you can just like go
- 4:09Speaker 5: wherever you want to go.
- 4:10Speaker 6: You're not beholden to whatever. I'm like, and you believed him.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Oh so he got this from Sir Arren.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Oh so Sir Arron was a hedge night as well.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what she was saying.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Okay, mas nigga too, he's part of the bum mas nigga.
- 4:23Speaker 3: True. Yeah, so okay, I wasn't.
- 4:25Speaker 4: So that's why when my man's like, I don't remember
- 4:27Speaker 4: that bump, you know, he was actually speaking truly like
- 4:30Speaker 4: why would he remember that bump?
- 4:32Speaker 2: He's one or eight hundred.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this about this whole dunkin Egg show.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I at first I was like, all right, are they
- 4:40Speaker 1: doing too much? But I will say that I think
- 4:42Speaker 1: I appreciate now the tone of the show because all
- 4:46Speaker 1: of Game of Thrones, all the different iterations thereof, have
- 4:48Speaker 1: been essentially drama, drama, like super drama, very serious at times. Yeah,
- 4:54Speaker 1: they might be a little key here and there, but
- 4:56Speaker 1: it's just been a lot of days are of our
- 4:59Speaker 1: Lives type of shit, right, whereas this, like off rip,
- 5:02Speaker 1: they're just like, we're going straight into comedy with this.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Do they overdo it a little bit?
- 5:07Speaker 7: For me?
- 5:08Speaker 1: In the first episodes and maybe the first like twenty minutes,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I was like, did y'all really have to do that?
- 5:12Speaker 1: Y'all having a fascination with this guy's ass apparently, But
- 5:16Speaker 1: beyond that, I just really enjoyed, like the approach to it,
- 5:21Speaker 1: Like it is different. I think you knew that been
- 5:24Speaker 1: going in that it might be like comedy based.
- 5:26Speaker 6: I don't.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I don't.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I didn't recall that, but I was like, oh, okay,
- 5:29Speaker 1: they trying to treat this a little bit differently. It's
- 5:31Speaker 1: it's like giving me hints of like a my Monty
- 5:35Speaker 1: Python type of thing, just not so much in the
- 5:37Speaker 1: like there's not a lot of slapstick or anything, but
- 5:39Speaker 1: just in the goofiness of being in that Renaissance fair
- 5:43Speaker 1: type approach or setting.
- 5:45Speaker 6: If you will.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I was the same way. I thought it
- 5:50Speaker 4: was great. The you know overall I thought of you know,
- 5:54Speaker 4: I didn't think it was too much. I thought it
- 5:56Speaker 4: just right.
- 5:57Speaker 2: You know, I didn't need to see him doing what
- 5:59Speaker 2: he was doing.
- 6:00Speaker 1: On the tree, like that was ridiculous. I don't need it.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I don't need that.
- 6:03Speaker 5: But I feel like it's kind of it was kind
- 6:05Speaker 5: of like the Invincible title card. They dropped the card
- 6:08Speaker 5: whatever whatever starts happening, so they cat like because also
- 6:12Speaker 5: think about it, the other shows in a series are
- 6:15Speaker 5: all covering like nobility, rich people. This is our first
- 6:18Speaker 5: time seeing the world from the viewpoint of someone who's
- 6:22Speaker 5: actually like someone off the street, like literally of the
- 6:25Speaker 5: streets of West Rows.
- 6:28Speaker 6: And so you're not there. He's not going to have
- 6:31Speaker 6: like whenever.
- 6:32Speaker 7: Uh.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Tyr and Lanister was joking about how his dad like
- 6:36Speaker 5: probably he knows he ships gold or whatever, like that's
- 6:39Speaker 5: like legit, Like how to settle lenisters?
- 6:41Speaker 6: Are they just always a bought money? Like here you
- 6:43Speaker 6: see ahdge Night like he's just out here.
- 6:47Speaker 5: They put the epic theme song and they had to
- 6:49Speaker 5: go in a few minutes for a few seconds and
- 6:52Speaker 5: then as soon as they're like cut that out, we're
- 6:53Speaker 5: not epic here. He's this is a man, he does
- 6:56Speaker 5: not have a pot to shit in. Yeah, this is
- 6:58Speaker 5: it what you're.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Getting very on the knows.
- 7:01Speaker 3: It was fantastic.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I just didn't need to see it personally,
- 7:05Speaker 1: is so much to see it.
- 7:06Speaker 6: I didn't see any crap.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I'm good, you know, but there I don't want to
- 7:11Speaker 5: see it.
- 7:12Speaker 3: It was flying out his ass.
- 7:13Speaker 6: Yeah, I was like, that's the way.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I was like, oh yeah, you know, yeah man.
- 7:19Speaker 4: And as far as his ass is going to put
- 7:21Speaker 4: asses and seats, oh yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 6: Of course.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And I do like what you're saying, Portia, just like
- 7:28Speaker 1: and they did that a lot in the beginning of
- 7:30Speaker 1: the episode, just like him essentially just lying or kind
- 7:33Speaker 1: of glazing over.
- 7:35Speaker 2: The truth about his his relationship with his.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Sir, his lord or whatever the guy is to him,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and how like, you know, he'll say, oh, you know,
- 7:43Speaker 1: you treated me well, and the guy's like slapping him
- 7:45Speaker 1: up on all this other stuff.
- 7:46Speaker 2: You know, united me. I don't think that really happened.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Like it's just his version of the world and his
- 7:51Speaker 1: version of trying to get ahead and just have a
- 7:53Speaker 1: better situation than he was in. And I do like
- 7:56Speaker 1: that they show like that, justin position. It reminded me
- 7:58Speaker 1: of like watching Housewives, where like someone says something and
- 8:01Speaker 1: then production plays back the exact opposite thing that they did,
- 8:06Speaker 1: or since I like it was perfect in that way,
- 8:09Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, I see what y'all doing here?
- 8:11Speaker 6: Love it.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I ain't putting my feet on your couch?
- 8:14Speaker 2: Right, Why would I just put my feet in my couch?
- 8:17Speaker 2: You know, like what I look like doing that?
- 8:20Speaker 3: Of course I put my feet on the couch.
- 8:23Speaker 6: I would do.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And I hope she asked me about it too, right, right, right?
- 8:27Speaker 2: Remember it was giving that I liked it. It was funny.
- 8:30Speaker 3: It was funny.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, No, I really enjoyed it because, like for
- 8:34Speaker 4: one of the same reasons you say, because I know,
- 8:37Speaker 4: traditionally Game of Thrones is considered not low fantasy, dark fantasy.
- 8:42Speaker 4: I'm not sure what the term is, and the dungeons
- 8:47Speaker 4: and dragons things of that nature are more what we
- 8:49Speaker 4: call a high fantasy or like Xena, you know, the
- 8:53Speaker 4: Xena right Hercules, that type of stuff.
- 8:56Speaker 5: It's Lord of the Rings because it's a high fantasy.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Then I would think just because see at least the
- 9:00Speaker 5: definition of so serious, Like I feel like the genre
- 9:03Speaker 5: like could decided what high fantasy was off of Florida
- 9:07Speaker 5: The Rings.
- 9:07Speaker 4: It's interesting though, because Lord of the Rings, I mean
- 9:09Speaker 4: at least the I don't know, because the film is
- 9:14Speaker 4: much more lighthearted, I would say, than The Boy when they.
- 9:19Speaker 1: With the the with the Hobbits, when it with the Hobbits.
- 9:23Speaker 4: No, I mean just in general, like this is a
- 9:25Speaker 4: lot of people. Some people don't notice, but there's a
- 9:28Speaker 4: I know, there's four or five endings to the third film,
- 9:31Speaker 4: to the Return of the King, but in the books
- 9:33Speaker 4: there's a whole section that was not filmed, called the
- 9:36Speaker 4: Scouring of the Shire, where the Hobbits returned to the
- 9:41Speaker 4: shire after everything is said and done, and they found
- 9:44Speaker 4: out that black tongue whatever warmer black Tongue. In the films,
- 9:48Speaker 4: he's killed, at least in the extended version, but in
- 9:50Speaker 4: the books he's not killed. He returns and he basically
- 9:54Speaker 4: scours the shire. He turns it into an industrialized city,
- 9:58Speaker 4: and you know, becomes the mayor, and so does Hobbits,
- 10:02Speaker 4: without the help of anyone, without any magic, et cetera,
- 10:05Speaker 4: have to defeat this evil. And it's the lesson that
- 10:08Speaker 4: Tolkien was trying to say, is that evil will rise
- 10:10Speaker 4: up again if we don't watch Out and yeah, so
- 10:14Speaker 4: as we see that's really true. So I don't know,
- 10:18Speaker 4: you know, Tolkien has just come home for more. I mean,
- 10:20Speaker 4: I get it. I think the whole fantasy genre comes
- 10:24Speaker 4: off of Tolkien, but I wouldn't really consider that to
- 10:26Speaker 4: be as you know, like bright as everyone thinks it is.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Well, I like, high fantasy doesn't necessarily mean that.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It's like you say bright, you mean smart.
- 10:36Speaker 4: No, I mean like, but I don't think anything.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I don't think anything Lord of the Rings is lighthearted, true.
- 10:43Speaker 4: And I don't think Game of Thrones. I don't even
- 10:45Speaker 4: in Dunk and the Egg and the Long Runners to
- 10:47Speaker 4: be overly lighthearted.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Now, so.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Getting back to yeah, it was tempered. You know, this
- 10:56Speaker 4: very episode was very It was very much a pilot
- 11:00Speaker 4: episode to me. Like I was sitting there watching, I'm like, okay,
- 11:03Speaker 4: he rejects Egg, which is you know, traditional pilot structure.
- 11:08Speaker 4: The hero you know, has to be offered the journey
- 11:11Speaker 4: and has to reject it, and Egg is obviously the journey,
- 11:15Speaker 4: and he rejects Egg. And then by the end of
- 11:17Speaker 4: the episode except Egg. So it's like okay, So in
- 11:20Speaker 4: that nature, I was like, this is kind of traditional
- 11:23Speaker 4: and kind of done, but it's well done. I liked
- 11:25Speaker 4: how they introduced all the cast of characters. You get
- 11:27Speaker 4: to see this world that Dunk and Egg will be
- 11:29Speaker 4: living in, and a lot of their friends and foes
- 11:32Speaker 4: are immediately introduced and introduced pretty well.
- 11:35Speaker 3: So yeah, I enjoyed the first episode.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Maybe you can answer this, what is the timeline or
- 11:41Speaker 1: time frame in which this is taking place versus like,
- 11:45Speaker 1: you know, the the original Game of Thrones are even
- 11:47Speaker 1: more recently, what was the one? I don't know why,
- 11:50Speaker 1: I'm like blinking on you just watch House of Dragon,
- 11:52Speaker 1: thank you?
- 11:53Speaker 5: Like right, it's one hundred years before Game of Thrones,
- 11:59Speaker 5: so so before Stark and all.
- 12:03Speaker 6: But you're gonna see you're gonna because this is the
- 12:06Speaker 6: same one.
- 12:06Speaker 3: People's old.
- 12:08Speaker 6: You're gonna see something. It's the same.
- 12:09Speaker 2: They mentioned Barathian a lot like home.
- 12:11Speaker 5: So you said Barathi and we see it in the
- 12:13Speaker 5: tent that's his tenth You're you're seeing them because this
- 12:18Speaker 5: is that's like his Like, look, man, I don't get me.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Too lame either grandfather, the grandmother uncle or is this
- 12:26Speaker 1: before the mad King Barathian situation?
- 12:28Speaker 6: Mad King Targerian?
- 12:31Speaker 2: But also what's his face and that was around Robert.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yes, Robert is.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Not even thought of. He's not even a firm at
- 12:38Speaker 6: this point.
- 12:39Speaker 1: No okay, okay, okay, okay, fast not swimming, and his
- 12:42Speaker 1: daddy's nuts nowhere.
- 12:44Speaker 4: No h But who is alive right now is the
- 12:48Speaker 4: master who we will eventually see with John snow the
- 12:51Speaker 4: old blond dude. He's like, yeah, he's young and learning
- 12:56Speaker 4: to be a master right now, is he? Well, that's
- 13:00Speaker 4: what I was told. You know, I don't know, I've
- 13:06Speaker 4: read nothing, You've been misled. Yeah, I was told this.
- 13:09Speaker 4: You know, I was told things like the drunk dude
- 13:12Speaker 4: in the bar or in the end is actually a Targarian.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Because he has like kind of blondish hair.
- 13:19Speaker 4: He's a drunk white He's actually from what I was told,
- 13:23Speaker 4: he's known as the drunkard at my corrected in this.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, if you want to think before they
- 13:30Speaker 6: could have revealed.
- 13:31Speaker 2: But yeah, trying to get anyway.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Oh, I mean, well, I'm just saying in the show.
- 13:34Speaker 4: You know, I'm a true Okay, I guess we you know,
- 13:36Speaker 4: we don't really spoil, you know, themes from the books.
- 13:39Speaker 4: But you know I've been I know, I haven't read
- 13:41Speaker 4: the books and I won't. I ain't read nothing. I
- 13:43Speaker 4: just read the internet, you know, so that's why I know.
- 13:45Speaker 4: But my man also has blondish hair, and anyone who
- 13:48Speaker 4: has blondish, you know, white blondish hair in this world is.
- 13:52Speaker 5: Potentially Targarian or Ian.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Or otherwise somehow. You know.
- 13:58Speaker 4: There's Targarian sperm and vault. There's all I wasn't. There's
- 14:04Speaker 4: definitely a lot of bastards.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Those flashbacks to battle scenes, some of them, I don't
- 14:09Speaker 5: know if I'm trying to remember if it was the
- 14:10Speaker 5: preview that was shown or if it was actually in
- 14:12Speaker 5: the show. But whenever they're talking about oh no, because
- 14:16Speaker 5: it was never it was talking about Sir Ron whenever
- 14:18Speaker 5: he was on a battlefield and how he.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Lost his squire. Did we get there? Is that what
- 14:26Speaker 6: they flashed back to? But this was a battlefield.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Okay, maybe it's a preview, but they're gonna gonna see
- 14:31Speaker 5: a bttlefield. It's her iron on it, and that's going
- 14:33Speaker 5: to be related to the Targarians and all the bastards
- 14:35Speaker 5: they got.
- 14:36Speaker 1: The closest thing is they show when when he got hurt,
- 14:40Speaker 1: dunks Man's got hurt and he tried to say, like
- 14:44Speaker 1: you know iron, thank you well, he just said, you know, well,
- 14:46Speaker 1: how you don't remember my man's you know, he took
- 14:48Speaker 1: a bullet for you or whatever.
- 14:49Speaker 2: And the man was like it was every day, like
- 14:54Speaker 2: who care?
- 14:54Speaker 3: So eight hundred and you was not that special. I
- 14:57Speaker 3: got a for y'all. Do you think that aren' actually
- 15:01Speaker 3: did night dunk? No?
- 15:04Speaker 2: No, I think that was that was.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I mean, for one, look at the eulogy that he
- 15:08Speaker 1: gave at first of all, in that shadow ass grave
- 15:11Speaker 1: that he gave Aaron, but that that kind.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Of approach eulogy.
- 15:16Speaker 1: He tried to give him a passing in the rain,
- 15:19Speaker 1: and he was again, like I mentioned, he was just
- 15:21Speaker 1: kind of telling his version of their life together and
- 15:24Speaker 1: how he came about.
- 15:26Speaker 2: And you know, I'm gonna do you proud.
- 15:27Speaker 1: And I would have put your sword in there with you,
- 15:29Speaker 1: but you know, just would have like it sounded like
- 15:31Speaker 1: some scamshit. Oh I would have put the sword in
- 15:33Speaker 1: there with you and the riches in it with you,
- 15:34Speaker 1: but you know it would have just been wasted in
- 15:36Speaker 1: the earth, So might as well use it myself, you know.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But it's like not not in a like evil type
- 15:43Speaker 1: of way, just to let me just I have nothing,
- 15:46Speaker 1: let me try something to better myself type of way.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Like I don't feel malice in his approach to scamming.
- 15:52Speaker 1: It's more so like you know, he's just doing what
- 15:54Speaker 1: he needed to do and.
- 15:55Speaker 2: He's kind of a fool too, so I let it slide.
- 15:58Speaker 1: But no, I don't think he's got or if he did,
- 16:02Speaker 1: like what's homeboy drunk when it happened, Like I don't know.
- 16:05Speaker 5: My thing is like the what's clear is that Iron
- 16:09Speaker 5: didn't have any big plans the second ever somebody dies
- 16:12Speaker 5: without having a will, like like he clearly didn't make
- 16:16Speaker 5: move things in a way where he had some plan
- 16:18Speaker 5: laid out for like okay, like you're a grown man
- 16:21Speaker 5: and you're still my squire.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's a big grow man. He think about
- 16:26Speaker 2: how big this nigga is.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You know, he need to be hooping and not out
- 16:29Speaker 1: here walking around with three horses and shit like.
- 16:32Speaker 5: And the fact that they have three horses is telling too,
- 16:34Speaker 5: because he said I could tell y'all he got money,
- 16:37Speaker 5: like two years Iron was had the money.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Iron had money, And let me tell.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You he he treated them horses way better than this
- 16:45Speaker 1: nigga dunk because them horses.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Look clean fed, healthy, dunk out. He had dirty bum
- 16:50Speaker 2: ass like I was just like what.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Liked Iron didn't have no money, he no real money
- 16:57Speaker 4: he did have.
- 16:58Speaker 1: He wasn't like rich rich, but he he Nigga had
- 17:00Speaker 1: three horses.
- 17:01Speaker 2: That means something back in that day, it means something.
- 17:03Speaker 5: And he chose to spend it on three horses rather
- 17:06Speaker 5: than become a sworn knight. He chose to use it
- 17:08Speaker 5: on three horses rather than like upgrade his squire to knighthood,
- 17:13Speaker 5: like you know what I mean, Like he he was
- 17:15Speaker 5: a decision maker and the one who got them contracts
- 17:19Speaker 5: and the primary one on the contracts for this stuff.
- 17:21Speaker 6: And he like he did with the money what he did,
- 17:24Speaker 6: wanted to deal with the money.
- 17:25Speaker 3: And that why did he choose horses?
- 17:28Speaker 2: But they wore something and you could sell.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I mean like versus a house or land.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Because he again we he from menticizes the idea of
- 17:36Speaker 5: being a hedge knight.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Oh okay, so he really thought that that that was living.
- 17:41Speaker 4: I mean he's one of them.
- 17:42Speaker 6: Either he did or he just he sold the story
- 17:45Speaker 6: really well. Who knows what I'm.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Playing, just just like I think he sold the story.
- 17:49Speaker 4: I think that's I don't I think, because where did
- 17:52Speaker 4: the horses come from?
- 17:53Speaker 3: Did he murder somebody to get the horses?
- 17:55Speaker 4: You know, That's what I'm saying, Like I don't think
- 17:57Speaker 4: like the horses cost him that much. I think feeding
- 18:00Speaker 4: them is the problem. But you know that ain't much.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Like it's like, you know, you murdered somebody else and
- 18:04Speaker 4: you can feed.
- 18:04Speaker 2: The horses either way.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Like Dunk is trying to be on the come up.
- 18:07Speaker 1: He trying to build his legend, you know, making up
- 18:10Speaker 1: names and how he got this and how he got that.
- 18:13Speaker 1: The best thing on him is that it is the weapon,
- 18:16Speaker 1: the longsword. So I mean, you know, everybody looking at
- 18:19Speaker 1: him like you know you ain't shit, So I you know,
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm interested to see him build himself up. One thing
- 18:25Speaker 1: I will say about like watching steps overde me, Like
- 18:28Speaker 1: remember something I had always thought about Game of Thrones universes.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I know it's stanking there. I know if stank in there,
- 18:39Speaker 1: because then people do not wash. You saw him shitting
- 18:43Speaker 1: in front of the fucking tree. Didn see no wiping happen.
- 18:45Speaker 1: And you saw him when he was trying to wash
- 18:48Speaker 1: his clothes with no soap, lard or whatever the fuck
- 18:51Speaker 1: they used back then in.
- 18:52Speaker 2: That time, you don't see you see nothing.
- 18:55Speaker 1: You see me even smelling like ugh, the man that
- 18:57Speaker 1: he talked to when he tried to get into the tournament.
- 18:59Speaker 2: The man's just like, go, your smell came first before
- 19:01Speaker 2: I sing you. So it's just like, yes, thank that man.
- 19:06Speaker 3: After he took a bath. That's like, it's real ripe.
- 19:12Speaker 2: In there right now, don't. I don't need to be
- 19:14Speaker 2: in that world death.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You know, it's like what universe do you want to
- 19:17Speaker 1: be in the game throws No the fuck I don't
- 19:20Speaker 1: because my nose cannot take it.
- 19:22Speaker 2: And I don't understand how many people do it. But I'm good.
- 19:33Speaker 3: We got to.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Mention the prostitute because I feel like they're going to
- 19:37Speaker 4: play a big role in this season and the Dunk
- 19:41Speaker 4: and Eggs life.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Red and.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Red Redder, I don't know.
- 19:49Speaker 3: No, it's not that.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Come on, help me out the names of the two ladies.
- 19:53Speaker 5: They didn't give us any names on the show. Really,
- 19:57Speaker 5: I MDB, you tell me, I think I didn't know B.
- 20:00Speaker 5: But and also they do not appear in the novellas.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Oh well, I did read something recently about the departure,
- 20:11Speaker 1: the creative departure between George R. R. And the Okay,
- 20:18Speaker 1: was there a departure on this or.
- 20:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I saw the interview like whenever.
- 20:24Speaker 5: At New York Comic Con mm hmmm where for Honners
- 20:27Speaker 5: Words this year, they did an interview with him and uh,
- 20:33Speaker 5: the main the main actors back in the Egg and
- 20:35Speaker 5: the showrunner. And George was like pretty happy about how
- 20:41Speaker 5: much of the novella was adapted into the show and
- 20:45Speaker 5: like the cadence of it. So he was, this is
- 20:50Speaker 5: a pretty like so if everything again in a preview,
- 20:53Speaker 5: don't watch the preview. Also, by the way, people, it
- 20:56Speaker 5: has a lot of spoilers in it. I don't know
- 20:58Speaker 5: why they put a lot of They put.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Up big but I haven't seen the previoy at all.
- 21:02Speaker 3: It's a lot.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't see anything about this. I forgot that
- 21:05Speaker 1: it was coming out.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I knew the tone and everything, but I didn't
- 21:09Speaker 4: even watch the trailer. So I was just fresh when
- 21:11Speaker 4: I started watching. I didn't know what Dunk or Egg
- 21:13Speaker 4: would actually look like.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Man, I am seeing on IMDb that there's I mean,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I don't know if she's one of the Ladies of
- 21:20Speaker 1: the Night, but one lady is named Daisy and the
- 21:21Speaker 1: other one's name Red.
- 21:23Speaker 4: I'm not sure if the one is Daisy, because on
- 21:26Speaker 4: Wikipedia it says the two prostitutes are Red and Plumber.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Plumber.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Plumber is a guy.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Yeah, he's another prostitute, though probably he's definitely a p
- 21:43Speaker 3: I feel.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Like sex work in like camps campt grounds are like,
- 21:48Speaker 5: you know, part of the lower part of the fabric,
- 21:51Speaker 5: two of that society.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Like, I don't think that
- 21:54Speaker 4: George R. R Is just turned out somebody adding prostitute.
- 21:58Speaker 4: This is not something that he's like, oh no, that
- 22:01Speaker 4: never happens in my books, you know.
- 22:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I think so.
- 22:06Speaker 5: I feel like them like so that those are the
- 22:08Speaker 5: things they're them being involved in the story, like because
- 22:11Speaker 5: the guy turning him away whenever he's like, hey, you
- 22:14Speaker 5: remember my guy and he's like, nah, I don't. We
- 22:17Speaker 5: want to figure that one out, sir, that's part of
- 22:20Speaker 5: the original story. And then also we don't really spend
- 22:24Speaker 5: time with Barathian in the novella, so them putting time
- 22:28Speaker 5: to show you.
- 22:29Speaker 6: Barathian's tint I feel like that's intentional too.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Like we do learn more about Barathian over the course
- 22:34Speaker 5: of a novella, but actually sip any time around him,
- 22:37Speaker 5: and then having that like you know, like one on
- 22:40Speaker 5: one at the main table that didn't happen to stories.
- 22:43Speaker 5: I think that's a reason why we of course there's
- 22:45Speaker 5: always a reason, but it's really interesting they gave us
- 22:48Speaker 5: that this first episode.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Well, the postitives are definitely serving as you know, they're
- 22:53Speaker 4: helping the viewers and don't you know, get accimated to
- 22:57Speaker 4: the world. They're telling him everything is happening, and they're
- 22:59Speaker 4: all so telling the viewers, and then it feels like
- 23:02Speaker 4: they're gonna be the ones who take an interest in
- 23:04Speaker 4: him because you know, he needs somebody on the inside
- 23:07Speaker 4: because as sorry for him, Yeah, and as Barathian said,
- 23:09Speaker 4: you have no chance right now. So he's gonna need
- 23:12Speaker 4: people like them who know this court and this game
- 23:15Speaker 4: better than he does.
- 23:16Speaker 2: So m and also that squire that helped him get
- 23:20Speaker 2: an a tent in the first place.
- 23:21Speaker 6: Like the possaway, he was part of the original story.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Okay, he's gonna he's gonna be a factor for sure.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Done.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Oh and definitely his cousin is doing. Our uncles don't
- 23:32Speaker 4: be even a big problem for.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 5: So here's there's also the thing to to ground the
- 23:38Speaker 5: story a little bit there. It's set in the Reach
- 23:41Speaker 5: is like over there, closer to like where the Lanisters
- 23:45Speaker 5: they're like Landisport is like not too far away from here.
- 23:49Speaker 5: But also because it's like that part of the world
- 23:51Speaker 5: where it's not like this darkstupup north. We're used to
- 23:54Speaker 5: being stark oriented most of the time in storylines. We
- 23:56Speaker 5: do get to King's Landing orientation a little bit, but
- 23:58Speaker 5: we're used to like Dragons Zone, winter Fell and King's
- 24:04Speaker 5: King's Landing. The Reach is over on the other like
- 24:07Speaker 5: the I want to say, yeah, the west coast of
- 24:10Speaker 5: West rops and you will see a lot of people
- 24:14Speaker 5: like so a lot of the Sworn houses to the
- 24:16Speaker 5: Reach or like around like the Fossil Ways and them folks,
- 24:19Speaker 5: but also Samuel Tarli's house or whatever it's that it's
- 24:22Speaker 5: part of this region too, the Tarlei's You said, Okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 24:28Speaker 5: I'm trying.
- 24:28Speaker 2: To remember the map.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I have to see the map because I'm so used
- 24:30Speaker 1: to seeing it in the beginning of episodes. Now I
- 24:32Speaker 1: got to look at that map again. You said, the
- 24:33Speaker 1: west coast, and so King's Land is at the that little.
- 24:37Speaker 5: That little thing at the it's like not really the
- 24:39Speaker 5: little hook Yeah, okay, okay, it's like southern.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It's okay, I'm kind of remembering now, Okay, but cool.
- 24:49Speaker 1: What do y'all think about Egg or how I call
- 24:52Speaker 1: him Kayu? I think he's the cutest little thing. He
- 24:56Speaker 1: looks like if you don't know who to google it
- 24:59Speaker 1: real quick, ben who Kayu is?
- 25:00Speaker 5: But he looked just like Kayu if I found him
- 25:03Speaker 5: adorable since seeing him in person at Comic Con, I
- 25:06Speaker 5: was like, oh my god.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Who is this little person?
- 25:08Speaker 2: Oh so you did get to see him. Oh, that's
- 25:10Speaker 2: why you wanted that piano? Okay, Like why is he tokic?
- 25:14Speaker 6: He's just so cute. But I think I like the
- 25:18Speaker 6: way that they show him being a kid.
- 25:20Speaker 5: Yeah, especially once, and I bet you y'all already know
- 25:26Speaker 5: who he is, so whatever, But when, especially whenever it's
- 25:30Speaker 5: unveiled like who he is, I'm just glad that he's
- 25:33Speaker 5: still being a kid about life and the fact that
- 25:37Speaker 5: like the first like real interaction that happens between Dunk
- 25:41Speaker 5: and he is like yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 6: It's like, yeah, go take care.
- 25:44Speaker 2: I don't know if y'all noticed, did y'all know that
- 25:46Speaker 2: he was.
- 25:46Speaker 5: Naked like whenever, like Dunk grows up and he's like,
- 25:49Speaker 5: he's like, hey, can you take care my my horse?
- 25:51Speaker 5: Like you like Dunk is like putting on something and
- 25:54Speaker 5: then pops up and then that's whenever he's like, take
- 25:56Speaker 5: care of my horses.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Dunk is nugget, I mean Egg is Oh, the little egg. Oh.
- 26:00Speaker 6: I didn't know.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I didn't realize that he was.
- 26:03Speaker 6: He was like he was shirtless and then he put
- 26:06Speaker 6: a shirt on.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Okay, well, I don't need that.
- 26:10Speaker 3: He's also hairless. Are bald just like Kyu? Yeah, I
- 26:18Speaker 3: think that's more intentional.
- 26:19Speaker 4: I don't know about Kayu, but I think it's very
- 26:21Speaker 4: intentional for him to have no hair.
- 26:23Speaker 6: It's a clue.
- 26:24Speaker 3: It's a clue.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I mean, his name's Egg, so.
- 26:27Speaker 6: It's a clue.
- 26:28Speaker 3: The clue.
- 26:28Speaker 6: They're both clues.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Clue. Think about it.
- 26:32Speaker 6: That's why I said that, y'all probably already know who
- 26:34Speaker 6: he is, but he's he's bald for a reason.
- 26:38Speaker 3: He's definitely bald for a reason.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I already I already understand my answer. Okay, thanks, And we.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Mentioned, you know, we mentioned people earlier in this episode.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I've seen people shave their hair on purpose too. High
- 26:48Speaker 1: the fat of something and it happened in House of Dragon.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yep, got it?
- 26:53Speaker 3: Got it?
- 26:56Speaker 4: That being said, Yeah, so you know, Egg is definitely
- 26:59Speaker 4: not who he appears to be. Duncan we all know
- 27:02Speaker 4: is not who he appears to be. So a lot
- 27:05Speaker 4: of people are who they appear to be.
- 27:07Speaker 5: Exactly who he is who he is, he's that he's
- 27:11Speaker 5: someone else.
- 27:11Speaker 2: He's trying to be more.
- 27:13Speaker 4: He's saying, he's saying the people that he ain't he's
- 27:15Speaker 4: a Knight when that's not true. So you know he's doing.
- 27:18Speaker 2: It, but you're working on it.
- 27:20Speaker 1: You got to give him some something for that.
- 27:24Speaker 5: He's manifesting his destiny ahead of us, right, Okay, speaking
- 27:28Speaker 5: to being and then it comes there.
- 27:30Speaker 4: You gotta collapse some timelines, you know what I mean,
- 27:32Speaker 4: You got to live as a person who is that person.
- 27:34Speaker 3: He's like, I'm a Hedge Knight.
- 27:37Speaker 6: I'm going to speak this into being my life, this
- 27:40Speaker 6: is my destiny.
- 27:41Speaker 4: It's so crazy though, because he's like, you know, he
- 27:43Speaker 4: goes up to the prostitutes and he's like, you know,
- 27:45Speaker 4: I'm a Hedge Night, Like that's.
- 27:46Speaker 3: The most ball of That's hilarious.
- 27:50Speaker 4: It's like it's like his dreams, I'm gonna be a bump.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I align myself in the terms of just, you know,
- 27:59Speaker 1: liking him the character, because I'm like, you know, there's
- 28:01Speaker 1: there's no malentent there. It's just like he really just
- 28:04Speaker 1: trying his damness to to get put on. So I'm
- 28:07Speaker 1: all right, you got you know, you put your energy
- 28:09Speaker 1: into it, so I'm with it.
- 28:10Speaker 5: But that's also my question because he keeps like, he
- 28:14Speaker 5: keeps referring back to like Sir Arn talking about how
- 28:16Speaker 5: like he's as dumb as an RX, like a big
- 28:19Speaker 5: like ox basic, a big Longhorn or whatever. Basically, so like,
- 28:25Speaker 5: did he did Arn really have to try that hard
- 28:27Speaker 5: to sell the idea of Hedge Knights being done amazing
- 28:30Speaker 5: to him? Or did he really just be like nah,
- 28:32Speaker 5: like I get it, like I see the vision, like
- 28:35Speaker 5: I'm an like.
- 28:36Speaker 6: Sir Ron, it's a Hedge Knight.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I love Did he really believe his own legend? Arlon?
- 28:41Speaker 1: But I also think I also think dunk got some
- 28:45Speaker 1: I don't think dunk is all there up, there no
- 28:48Speaker 1: a little bit going on.
- 28:49Speaker 3: I don't think it's that.
- 28:50Speaker 4: I think Dunkle comes from nothing, and when you come
- 28:53Speaker 4: from nothing, being aheadghight is not that bad. You know,
- 28:56Speaker 4: that shit's pretty glorious. Remember this man comes from fleet bottom,
- 29:00Speaker 4: like it's called flee bottom.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Both of the words are terrible, and so.
- 29:05Speaker 4: It can't be you know, being like living in the bushes,
- 29:07Speaker 4: getting to you know, fight people, being a squire to
- 29:10Speaker 4: a knight because as far as you remember, it's like
- 29:12Speaker 4: he knows nothing.
- 29:13Speaker 3: He doesn't know that there's you know, greater nights.
- 29:16Speaker 4: This dude's a headsnight, So to him, a heads night
- 29:18Speaker 4: is like the greatest thing in the world.
- 29:19Speaker 3: It's like, oh my god, he's a knight, Like he
- 29:21Speaker 3: can't believe the.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Dude doesn't better night though, just like whenever they go,
- 29:26Speaker 1: he knows, but he don't know.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I see what you're saying. Bend Yeah, remember basically Dingy.
- 29:30Speaker 1: From Changdawn Man, where it's just like he ain't never
- 29:32Speaker 1: had nothing, never been nowhere in the moment he gets
- 29:35Speaker 1: like Dingy, that character if you guys never seen that
- 29:37Speaker 1: animate that character Key go like, somebody spit on the
- 29:40Speaker 1: food and he'd be like, oh, this is the greatest
- 29:42Speaker 1: food I've ever seen, you know, because he used to
- 29:44Speaker 1: getting shit straight out the trash, you know, and well
- 29:46Speaker 1: it's clean and you looking at him like are you stupid?
- 29:49Speaker 1: But when you really realize that that is the best
- 29:52Speaker 1: or the better part of what he's seen in his life.
- 29:54Speaker 4: So I could see and he's seen other knights, but
- 29:56Speaker 4: he ain't seen him up close.
- 29:57Speaker 6: You know.
- 29:57Speaker 4: He's not like been around that world or stuff. He
- 29:59Speaker 4: just the most people put the armor on dude or
- 30:02Speaker 4: whatever he did. And this dude went off the battle,
- 30:04Speaker 4: and the dude came back. He wasn't right there to fight,
- 30:07Speaker 4: and shit, you know he he ain't seen.
- 30:08Speaker 3: It like that.
- 30:09Speaker 2: He ain't seen it.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he ain't seen it.
- 30:11Speaker 4: What he's seeing is like this dude has gone to
- 30:14Speaker 4: fights come back alive.
- 30:15Speaker 6: You know.
- 30:15Speaker 4: That's like amazing to anyone, you know, Like and especially
- 30:18Speaker 4: if somebody wants to be a knight.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Dude's like, oh, he must be the ship. He's lived
- 30:22Speaker 3: through fights. You know, he went to this war. That's
- 30:24Speaker 3: why when he shot the dude can't remember him. He's like,
- 30:27Speaker 3: what are you talking about? My man was the man? No, No,
- 30:31Speaker 3: he was just you you know that's how he feels.
- 30:34Speaker 3: He's like, yo, what you don't know? My man's Aaron. Well.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I appreciate his conviction in himself believe in yourself. Brother,
- 30:41Speaker 2: he notin't even in himself.
- 30:42Speaker 5: It's an errand yeah, he has to have some believe
- 30:47Speaker 5: in himself for him to take the step to like
- 30:49Speaker 5: try to make something of himself and enter the tourney.
- 30:51Speaker 3: So yeah, indeed, yeah, well he even if.
- 30:54Speaker 2: It's under the name of Arlen, still.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Like, yeah, he's you know, he's not.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Look I gotta you know, fake Tae make it. Yeah,
- 31:01Speaker 4: all right, So any of the thoughts on this before
- 31:04Speaker 4: we get about it, and you know, I think this is,
- 31:06Speaker 4: like I said, a very introduct three episode.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Yeah, like I said, I overall I liked it. I
- 31:11Speaker 2: like the characters that they introduced.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I do appreciate the lighter tone from which for me
- 31:17Speaker 1: breaks away from the rest of the Game of Thrones universe,
- 31:21Speaker 1: if you will.
- 31:22Speaker 2: And I do hope that it continues.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Yes, I don't know if it's going to be straight
- 31:26Speaker 1: like Calmedy the whole time, but I do hope it's
- 31:28Speaker 1: just more of that approach.
- 31:31Speaker 6: For me, I'm all about the under the underlying things
- 31:36Speaker 6: about it.
- 31:37Speaker 5: So I feel like the talking about the guy who
- 31:40Speaker 5: was the game intrigue guy or whatever, and how he
- 31:43Speaker 5: just kind of like kept like hacking and spitting on
- 31:46Speaker 5: the side as talking while he was talking to Dunk
- 31:48Speaker 5: or whatever, and just disapproving of Dunk, but also kind
- 31:51Speaker 5: of like giving him a little bit of like hope,
- 31:53Speaker 5: like you can find someone who can give you that word,
- 31:56Speaker 5: I'll vouch for you, I'll let you in. And do
- 31:59Speaker 5: you know that if you fuck this up, then that's it,
- 32:04Speaker 5: Like you got to pay them money. It's you that right,
- 32:10Speaker 5: And so I appreciate like this is like the difference
- 32:13Speaker 5: in the other shows where it's like the difference in
- 32:15Speaker 5: class dynamics, and I'm like, I hope we continue to
- 32:18Speaker 5: see that, like because I'm sure that same man like
- 32:21Speaker 5: he's not going to be doing all the hacken and
- 32:22Speaker 5: confident in front of nobility. He was doing it for
- 32:25Speaker 5: a reason in front of Dunk, right, so like he's
- 32:28Speaker 5: not you know what kind of manners to people show
- 32:32Speaker 5: how polite are they in polite society versus like to commands? Yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 5: and then whenever Biathian like when that's the other thing
- 32:41Speaker 5: I like to from the Birathian scenes was that when
- 32:45Speaker 5: Dunk went over there, I thought it was really like
- 32:47Speaker 5: you were saying earlier about like you just like you
- 32:49Speaker 5: see food and he's just like, oh my.
- 32:50Speaker 6: God, like this can't like he came up.
- 32:53Speaker 5: He That's how he felt whenever he got invited to
- 32:55Speaker 5: that Baarrathians and he was like, oh my god, I've
- 32:57Speaker 5: never seen a big turkey.
- 33:00Speaker 2: But I ain't never seen that ship.
- 33:01Speaker 1: I was like even, I said, well damn, Like I
- 33:04Speaker 1: was living for him, Like I was like ship we
- 33:06Speaker 1: in the skylark, like you know, he was in the
- 33:08Speaker 1: fucking buffet.
- 33:09Speaker 2: I understand.
- 33:10Speaker 3: My man's dancing with the Lord like you know, his.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Little crown for a miny. Remember, yeah, he was.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Sitting there rocking the crown. Yeah, like my man had
- 33:20Speaker 4: never had a better day in his life. Yes, And
- 33:23Speaker 4: so I feel like at the right time.
- 33:26Speaker 1: And that I was like that, well, the first time
- 33:29Speaker 1: was it was a fame, but the second time, like
- 33:31Speaker 1: that's the second time he kind of got away from
- 33:34Speaker 1: like the idea that he could have been like attacked
- 33:36Speaker 1: or kicked out or whatever.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Like he just spoke his truth.
- 33:39Speaker 1: And you know, Bratham was like, well that makes a
- 33:42Speaker 1: lot of sense and just left it at that right
- 33:43Speaker 1: and just let him rock Like that was cool.
- 33:45Speaker 2: I like that.
- 33:48Speaker 5: Yeah, the Brethons send to be like a good house
- 33:51Speaker 5: like a funhouse to follow. I think that's why they
- 33:53Speaker 5: put them in his first episode. But I thought that
- 33:56Speaker 5: when I finish, the thought was like, I feel like
- 33:59Speaker 5: brath the fact that he asked for Athian for advice,
- 34:03Speaker 5: like what should I do?
- 34:04Speaker 6: Telling him about how poor he was, and Breast.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Was like, I don't know, because he's about that life.
- 34:13Speaker 5: He asked him for some money, and he took out
- 34:16Speaker 5: a lot of hundreds and sniffed.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Do it and gave him one one hundred dollar bill.
- 34:21Speaker 1: That's what this nigga lying over Athen did to Surt.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I don't know what you gonna do, fella. Let me
- 34:27Speaker 2: walk away with my riches.
- 34:28Speaker 3: So I don't know about that broken nigga life.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I don't know about bro nigga lifestyle.
- 34:34Speaker 4: It was a good party with you will understand the
- 34:36Speaker 4: language of people with short money, my dude, Like, you
- 34:39Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 34:39Speaker 3: That shouldn't sound like.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Much of money.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Show. I never seen the ceiling, nigga. You woke up
- 34:46Speaker 3: with your ships.
- 34:49Speaker 6: You sleep outside.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Hate that for you.
- 34:52Speaker 4: You sleep outside and you still ain't seen nothing but ceilings.
- 34:57Speaker 7: No help, hedges man, what we're.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Gonna see on the next episode. The continuation of the
- 35:11Speaker 1: journey we know Egg. He finally said yes to Egg,
- 35:13Speaker 1: told Egg you know again, the whole bravado like, okay,
- 35:16Speaker 1: you better listening to what I say.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna beat you.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I was just like all right, relax, And then they
- 35:22Speaker 1: kept saying imagin saying that's that's that's that's Game of
- 35:25Speaker 1: Thrones talk. But when it was like I'm gonna clout
- 35:27Speaker 1: you in the air, what the fuck does that mean?
- 35:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna put in your ear clout he said, c
- 35:32Speaker 1: l U c l o U T at least that's
- 35:34Speaker 1: what the senator.
- 35:35Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, what does that mean?
- 35:37Speaker 3: Like yeah, basically melap in your head.
- 35:39Speaker 5: Yeah, It's like it's like the same time period they
- 35:43Speaker 5: used like box your ear, like.
- 35:46Speaker 6: Okay.
- 35:47Speaker 2: He kept saying that. I'm like, damn, like, what are
- 35:49Speaker 2: you about to do to this boy?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Like but okay, head, yeah, just like you got okay,
- 35:55Speaker 1: So what I'm like naked on the floor, Like that's
- 35:59Speaker 1: no threat to me.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Thanks, thanks for popping me. I'm so scared.
- 36:03Speaker 3: I mean, you neck it on the floor and you
- 36:04Speaker 3: get popped.
- 36:07Speaker 7: On the floor and not get bottom, my nigga, that's life.
- 36:11Speaker 3: It can be worse. That's a that's a Duncan's thirty.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Is like, just real quick. That mentioned Egg made it clear.
- 36:18Speaker 1: He said, well, I'm not from Flea Bottom. I'm from
- 36:20Speaker 1: kings Lannon, but I'm not from Flea Bottom.
- 36:23Speaker 3: I don't know about that that ship.
- 36:25Speaker 2: So remember.
- 36:28Speaker 5: And the way that Dunks was kind of like oh
- 36:31Speaker 5: like like he was like, oh, poor lid Flea Bottom,
- 36:34Speaker 5: and it's like, oh, sir.
- 36:35Speaker 2: No, he's not broke like you.
- 36:37Speaker 1: He's not a brokie like like he's actually probably hiding
- 36:40Speaker 1: something real important. You is trying to be somebody. So yeah, listening,
- 36:48Speaker 1: and Egg is very smart. That's a very very smart,
- 36:51Speaker 1: very clever, very well versed little boy.
- 36:53Speaker 2: That's also a popular reason. I really like that character.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Like he best Duncan pretty much every fucking time they interact,
- 36:59Speaker 1: So I really like that.
- 37:02Speaker 4: I also love him at the very end, you know,
- 37:04Speaker 4: giving him that bit of hope talking about the stars
- 37:06Speaker 4: and everything.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Like yeah, that's when the kids shine through. He was like, oh,
- 37:09Speaker 2: you know he's believing in you know, magic and shit.
- 37:12Speaker 2: So I thought I was great.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Yeah, and I also loved that Duncan, you know, gave
- 37:15Speaker 4: Duncan that little bit of hope.
- 37:17Speaker 3: That was very sweet too.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Yeah, things I want to see more of, uh you
- 37:23Speaker 4: know me, you know, redheaded prostitutes. Like can't be mad
- 37:27Speaker 4: at that ever. No, but I just also really liked
- 37:29Speaker 4: their characters. I really liked how you know, I know, Porsche.
- 37:32Speaker 4: I didn't know that they weren't in the book, but
- 37:34Speaker 4: I just liked that, you know, the whole disregard of Duncan,
- 37:40Speaker 4: but also the endearment to Duncan you know, and that
- 37:43Speaker 4: mother figure. I think I just related to them. And
- 37:47Speaker 4: I was like, I also, like you said portit, I
- 37:49Speaker 4: wasn't at that panel, but Egg is amazing. Yeah yeah,
- 37:55Speaker 4: Like even in the first moment he's on screen, I'm like,
- 37:58Speaker 4: oh shit, this is gonna be great.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Yeah, like this little kid is destined to start.
- 38:02Speaker 1: So the actor's name is Dexter soul On cell or
- 38:06Speaker 1: Ansel And I did see like a really quick clip
- 38:08Speaker 1: online of him shaving his head and realized, like, they
- 38:12Speaker 1: really actually shaved the head. And I think they still
- 38:14Speaker 1: put a ball cap of something on him to make
- 38:15Speaker 1: it look even more like bulbous, but they really shaved
- 38:19Speaker 1: this little boys his Yeah right, he'll be all right.
- 38:21Speaker 4: But yeah, it's a role of a lifetime. You better
- 38:23Speaker 4: shave that in you know what I mean? Like they
- 38:26Speaker 4: mean more shaved their ship for g I Jane, who
- 38:28Speaker 4: are you like?
- 38:30Speaker 3: Shave your ship? Yeah? Ship eleven shaved her head several times,
- 38:34Speaker 3: you know what I mean?
- 38:35Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 38:36Speaker 3: Get that bread, dude, all right? So anything else?
- 38:40Speaker 5: What I want to see next? I feel like I
- 38:42Speaker 5: know what's gonna happen. But I think that think that
- 38:47Speaker 5: most interest me, I guess going forward is.
- 38:52Speaker 6: Why a tournament? Why? Why is this the setting for
- 38:56Speaker 6: everything that's about to come forth? Like why are we? Well?
- 39:00Speaker 1: Then somebody gets here, Oh, wasn't there a story in
- 39:06Speaker 1: the Original Game of Thrones about maybe it was Robert
- 39:08Speaker 1: I don't know about like somebody challenging him in a
- 39:11Speaker 1: tournament or something like that, some some some bomb challenging
- 39:14Speaker 1: him but ended up winning against him and winning something.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Maybe I'm thinking of a different story, but I just
- 39:19Speaker 1: feel like I remember something like that. I don't know
- 39:20Speaker 1: has anything to do with this.
- 39:23Speaker 3: There is a tournament that a tournament like the very
- 39:26Speaker 3: first episode, right, I remember that?
- 39:29Speaker 2: Yeah, in the Original Game of Thrones.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Yeah, because dude doesn't there's somebody who gets lanced badly,
- 39:37Speaker 4: It gets hurt very bad.
- 39:41Speaker 5: Maybe that's what I'm referring to, Like, but I thought
- 39:43Speaker 5: it was a story about Oh no, that is a
- 39:46Speaker 5: wild boar hunt.
- 39:46Speaker 2: When that happened?
- 39:48Speaker 3: The yeah, that's when down right? Yeah?
- 39:53Speaker 6: No. The story that keeps going around the tournament is
- 39:55Speaker 6: the one where.
- 39:58Speaker 5: Where Drawn basically gets conceived because of all the stuff
- 40:04Speaker 5: is going on in this tournament, like this is this
- 40:07Speaker 5: is the jump off point for.
- 40:10Speaker 6: Whenever Regar took Ned's sister.
- 40:15Speaker 3: To Oh wow, that's this tournament right here.
- 40:18Speaker 6: No, not this one. He's getting mentioned.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Original.
- 40:23Speaker 6: That's the tournament that's talked about a lot.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Okay, got it?
- 40:27Speaker 5: Okay, but you're saying, ship happen, she goes down in
- 40:30Speaker 5: the tournament, got it?
- 40:32Speaker 3: All right?
- 40:33Speaker 2: Got it?
