- 0:00Speaker 1: It's more Mark the Mark Simone Show. I'm wor well.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, that great talk shows, great comedian. You know
- 0:10Speaker 2: he's on here and now on w are very popular,
- 0:13Speaker 2: doing really well every night nine to midnight. You can
- 0:16Speaker 2: listen to him weeknights nine to midnight, and make sure
- 0:19Speaker 2: you watch his Saturday night TV show. It's the best
- 0:21Speaker 2: late night show on TV, best monologue in television. It's
- 0:24Speaker 2: every Saturday night, ten o'clock, Fox News Channel. Jimmy Fayla,
- 0:28Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I'm doing man, I just got back from Reno, Reno.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he also tourist the country doing a great comedy.
- 0:37Speaker 2: What's it like in Reno?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Well, listen, man, my mom is seventy five. She's never
- 0:44Speaker 1: had mess so you know you got to you gotta
- 0:47Speaker 1: check these items off the bucket list while you can.
- 0:50Speaker 1: You know, she was no, she had a good time.
- 0:52Speaker 1: We did it. We did a show. We lost a
- 0:54Speaker 1: little money gambling, but we didn't lose so much that
- 0:57Speaker 1: we wound up working at the Bunny Ranch. So it
- 0:59Speaker 1: was a winning tree up.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Is that where Michael Corleon? No, No, he was in
- 1:03Speaker 2: Lake Tahoe. This is Reno, Yes, Tahoe.
- 1:06Speaker 1: We drove through there too. That's really nice. Really uh
- 1:09Speaker 1: oh yeah, Tahoe's real nice. It's not far from Reno.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Just a lot of mountain roads and you know you
- 1:16Speaker 1: gotta want it because those roads are not your friend.
- 1:20Speaker 1: A lot of like windy turney curvy roads. But you know,
- 1:23Speaker 1: it's like driving with Tiger Woods. It's not a sudden swerve.
- 1:27Speaker 2: So yeah, Reno had it work. Reno never caught up
- 1:29Speaker 2: with Vegas though they never really took off the same way.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It's a different No, Reno never caught up with Atlantic City,
- 1:37Speaker 1: you know. But it's having a nice time. They're having
- 1:39Speaker 1: a they're a good time.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Uh hey, Jimmy Faylor, let's talk about the crazy Jill Biden.
- 1:46Speaker 2: What a liar this woman is.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah, just it's just she's an actual sociopath. Because the
- 1:54Speaker 1: thing is, you know, she's trying to sell books and
- 1:57Speaker 1: she thinks this is the juicy SoundBite, Oh my god,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I thought he had a stroke. But she's so used
- 2:02Speaker 1: to getting favorable coverage from the media that she's never
- 2:06Speaker 1: pondered like the pushback on something like this, meaning, if
- 2:09Speaker 1: you thought he had a stroke, why did you bring
- 2:12Speaker 1: him to a rally after that? Debate chant four more
- 2:15Speaker 1: years and talked to him like an infant. Do you remember,
- 2:18Speaker 1: she goes, Joe, you did it. You answered all the
- 2:21Speaker 1: questions and started a four more years. So you think
- 2:24Speaker 1: your husband had a stroke and the only thing you're
- 2:26Speaker 1: doing is signing him up for four more years of work.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You're not a spouse, you know. Well, she's a dirt bag.
- 2:33Speaker 1: She liked being on Air Force one obviously, and you
- 2:36Speaker 1: know she liked the media really adored her because she
- 2:40Speaker 1: was a liberal first lady. I mean, you think about
- 2:42Speaker 1: the disparity in coverage. Jill Biden was on the cover
- 2:45Speaker 1: of every fashion magazine there is. Okay, Malania Trump gets
- 2:49Speaker 1: no magazines. She speaks, she's a supermodel. She speaks five languages. Okay,
- 2:54Speaker 1: Jill speaks two languages, English and Joe. You know. So
- 2:59Speaker 1: the idea that you know, she got drunk on all
- 3:02Speaker 1: of this power, and that's why she was trying to
- 3:04Speaker 1: still show for him, like he wouldn't run in the
- 3:06Speaker 1: country for four year. You know that. I know that.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, But you know the stroke thing, that's a brilliant
- 3:12Speaker 2: lie because if you don't say that, because by saying that,
- 3:16Speaker 2: you make it sound like, oh, it's so unusual to
- 3:18Speaker 2: see him screw up like that. It was so different
- 3:20Speaker 2: that that's why he thought it was a stroke, because
- 3:22Speaker 2: it's not like the normal Joe. That way helps the
- 3:24Speaker 2: cover up, doesn't it.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, one hundred percent. I mean that's the angle
- 3:29Speaker 1: here is she's trying to say with a straight face,
- 3:31Speaker 1: that was the only time I saw him like that.
- 3:34Speaker 1: The only problem again is we have video of him
- 3:37Speaker 1: talking to dead people. We have video of him wandering
- 3:41Speaker 1: off at the G twenty. You remember the summit where
- 3:43Speaker 1: her Italian president had to go get him. We have
- 3:46Speaker 1: video of him shaking hands with invisible people. And he
- 3:50Speaker 1: also happens to be the only president who made the
- 3:52Speaker 1: sign language interpreter shrug. So very hard to make a
- 3:57Speaker 1: case for someone being around him every day and not
- 4:00Speaker 1: knowing things were a little off.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, President Trump is a big fan of yours.
- 4:05Speaker 2: He watches the Saturday night TV show. He loves that show.
- 4:07Speaker 2: He's tweeted about it, said so, and he's coming to
- 4:12Speaker 2: He's gonna actually see the Knicks. He'll be at first
- 4:14Speaker 2: president ever to see an NBA playoff. That's pretty good,
- 4:16Speaker 2: isn't he.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I'm pumped up? And he was obviously a big fixture
- 4:20Speaker 1: at the Garden when he lived here. He went to
- 4:22Speaker 1: a lot of those games. Everybody remembers the you know,
- 4:25Speaker 1: the videos of the playoffs in the nineties. But I
- 4:27Speaker 1: love the huocal things so much because the Kathy Hulkeel
- 4:30Speaker 1: blunder of you know, I would challenge him the name
- 4:33Speaker 1: the roster of the nineteen ninety three championship team. Do
- 4:36Speaker 1: you know what the Knicks were doing in nineteen ninety three,
- 4:38Speaker 1: Mark Heroin. They were hanging out at the Viper clubs.
- 4:42Speaker 1: They were shooting drugs with Xavier M. Daniel whoever was
- 4:45Speaker 1: on the team. You know, I'm being silly, but the
- 4:47Speaker 1: point is they were out of control. Ninety four, they
- 4:50Speaker 1: went okay, and they had a shot against the Rockets,
- 4:52Speaker 1: as we all famously remember, and Trump was there for that.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Kathy Hokeel is you know her playing the fame and
- 4:59Speaker 1: you know this, she's only governor because she was the
- 5:01Speaker 1: one woman in Albany who was too annoying for Cuomo
- 5:04Speaker 1: to hit on. Okay, if she was a little easier
- 5:09Speaker 1: to deal with socially, she would have been on that
- 5:12Speaker 1: met too list, Okay, because you know she's just a
- 5:15Speaker 1: nut and she was the one who said do you
- 5:17Speaker 1: remember when she said black kids from the Bronx don't
- 5:19Speaker 1: know what a computer is? Yes, like, can you? I'm
- 5:22Speaker 1: assuming one of those kids was in charge of her
- 5:25Speaker 1: basketball research, because how the hell else could you get
- 5:28Speaker 1: up there and talk about a championship in your town
- 5:32Speaker 1: that wasn't one. That's crazy?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah, she does. She look like one of those annoying,
- 5:37Speaker 2: like upstate suburban real estate agents. Does she ever?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Man? And the worst, just the worst kind. And it's
- 5:48Speaker 1: hard to it's hard for me to watch her for
- 5:50Speaker 1: any length of time because she does a lot of
- 5:52Speaker 1: contrived things like that line was a contrived thing. And
- 5:56Speaker 1: afterwards her Twitter account tweeted she knew they didn't win
- 6:00Speaker 1: a championship. She was trying to bait Trump into thinking
- 6:04Speaker 1: they did four d chafts. That's what they tweeted. And
- 6:08Speaker 1: I was like, dude, just take the loss and make
- 6:11Speaker 1: the story go away. That was worse than the original lot.
- 6:15Speaker 2: You know, Hey, Colbert's gone. I've been watching the Byron
- 6:18Speaker 2: Allen's show that replaced it. It's kind of like yours. It's,
- 6:21Speaker 2: you know, four funny people talking.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's silly, but the challenge, the comics unleashed is
- 6:29Speaker 1: it's comedians. They're doing pre planned bits, so it's funny,
- 6:33Speaker 1: but we're they're doing bits from their act. So it's like,
- 6:36Speaker 1: let's say me and you were on a show and
- 6:37Speaker 1: you have a joke about riding the subway. I have
- 6:40Speaker 1: a joke about going to the gym. Okay, Byron looks
- 6:43Speaker 1: at you and goes, now, Mark, how do you get
- 6:46Speaker 1: to work every day? And you do your joke about
- 6:48Speaker 1: the subway, and then he turns to me and goes, well, Jimmy,
- 6:52Speaker 1: maybe you wouldn't need that gym membership you were talking
- 6:54Speaker 1: about backstage. If you travel the way Mark does, then
- 6:57Speaker 1: that's my you to do the subway bit. So the
- 7:00Speaker 1: whole thing is contrived and fake, and people usually like
- 7:03Speaker 1: it at first because it is funny. It's comics doing
- 7:05Speaker 1: good bits from their act. But once you see how
- 7:08Speaker 1: contrived it is, it's kind of hard to unsee. That.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Being said, it's about eighty million dollars a year, cheaper
- 7:15Speaker 1: than Colbert, so it's going to be around for a
- 7:17Speaker 1: little while.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so you know your Saturday night show. It's very good,
- 7:22Speaker 2: it's right, But the monologue is the best monologue in TV.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It's the only thing like it, like Carson, like Leno,
- 7:28Speaker 2: where you make fun of both sides. It's just genuinely funny.
- 7:31Speaker 2: It's not angry partisan, and it's doing very well. So
- 7:36Speaker 2: do you think any network will figure out if this
- 7:39Speaker 2: is what we need? Just fun and fun, it's hot?
- 7:42Speaker 1: You know what the challenge is something like that is
- 7:45Speaker 1: you need First of all, you need to be able
- 7:47Speaker 1: to do that, and most of these guys who want
- 7:50Speaker 1: to post in late night shows don't really have a
- 7:52Speaker 1: background in stand up you know what I mean. Like
- 7:55Speaker 1: Colbert couldn't do this if you wanted to. He's not
- 7:57Speaker 1: a he's gonna stand up background, you know, Like even
- 7:59Speaker 1: gut So it's kind of like a monologue guy, you know,
- 8:02Speaker 1: where he sits in his chair and writes his monologues.
- 8:04Speaker 1: He doesn't really have a background, so he shows a
- 8:06Speaker 1: little more to the right. But like you actually, first
- 8:08Speaker 1: of all have to be able to do it, which
- 8:10Speaker 1: not a lot of people can. But second of all,
- 8:12Speaker 1: the real challenge for these networks is, you know, they've
- 8:15Speaker 1: been driving home this narrative that everybody over here at
- 8:19Speaker 1: Fox is just sitting around in maga hats punching liberal
- 8:21Speaker 1: babies all day. So it's hard to justify the reality
- 8:26Speaker 1: that we're actually decent people and we do talk to
- 8:28Speaker 1: both sides, because they've been force feeding the audience this
- 8:32Speaker 1: narrative that we don't like. They think we're a right
- 8:35Speaker 1: winged tag machine. Yet half our audience wants to shoot
- 8:38Speaker 1: the TV because of how many liberals we have on. Yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you know, think of all the heat. Jessica Carloff gats
- 8:44Speaker 1: because she's a real liberal and we we let her
- 8:46Speaker 1: express liberal views that our audience might not agree with.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Whereas when you throw on an MSNBC, the Republican on
- 8:52Speaker 1: MSNBC is like a chicken that works at Pope. You know,
- 8:56Speaker 1: he ain't looking out for chicken, Okay, And that's the
- 8:59Speaker 1: reality of that NBC. Joe Scarborough is supposedly the Republican
- 9:03Speaker 1: on that channel. Are you anyone gonna tell me with
- 9:05Speaker 1: a straight face that he's out espousing Republican viewpoints? It's banana?
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, also you're you do? I think the longest
- 9:13Speaker 2: monologue in TV is like twenty something minutes, though yeah
- 9:16Speaker 2: Colbert did. Like Colbert did four minutes and he had
- 9:19Speaker 2: twenty two writers. So how do you do it? Everything
- 9:21Speaker 2: for twenty.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Two writers four minutes, and the joke is always Trump.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I mean the truth is What helps me for real
- 9:30Speaker 1: is being on radio nine to midnight. Here on w
- 9:33Speaker 1: r you are covering the news cycle for three hours
- 9:35Speaker 1: a night, so it's kind of all in your head
- 9:38Speaker 1: by the time you sit down to the write a
- 9:39Speaker 1: TV show. So for me, I don't find it to
- 9:42Speaker 1: be particularly hard. It's just figuring out how to package
- 9:46Speaker 1: the things they need to say. It's not, you know,
- 9:49Speaker 1: because I'm not doing news. You're doing comedy. So the
- 9:51Speaker 1: comedy might be about the news, but you've got to
- 9:54Speaker 1: figure out which news really lends itself to the surrounding stories.
- 9:59Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:59Speaker 1: That's where there's always some kind of a through line.
- 10:02Speaker 1: And that'll definitely be tomorrow. That'll definitely be a lot
- 10:05Speaker 1: of what I'm doing, Like Saturday night is this week
- 10:08Speaker 1: had a lot of craziness, like the vegan senator in
- 10:10Speaker 1: Texas who thinks God is a woman. Yeah, okay, that's
- 10:14Speaker 1: a crazy week. Okay, the electric Ferrari that has a
- 10:18Speaker 1: fing You know that the electric Ferrari has an actual
- 10:21Speaker 1: motor noise, like they have a fake motor noise on it,
- 10:24Speaker 1: Like you put a quarter in it outside of supermarket. Okay,
- 10:27Speaker 1: like it's bananas. So there's a lot of things. You
- 10:30Speaker 1: basically find things that are worthy of our mockery that
- 10:34Speaker 1: the audience watched this week, and you just let it rip.
- 10:37Speaker 1: And that's that's what we'll be doing. I'm ready. I
- 10:39Speaker 1: can't wait.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Well, if you haven't seen it, watch Jimmy fail A
- 10:41Speaker 2: Saturday nights at ten o'clock. It's the best late night
- 10:43Speaker 2: show on TV. You can go online and see you cool,
- 10:47Speaker 2: look at last week show, and watch this week and
- 10:49Speaker 2: then listen to them tonight every weeknight on w R
- 10:52Speaker 2: nine to midnight. It's really good. Who's on tonight?
- 10:57Speaker 1: Oh, Kennedy's back tonight because she's a all fired up
- 11:00Speaker 1: about this Sprent Fencer Pratt thing. Because Kennedy had a
- 11:03Speaker 1: house out in the Pacific Palisade before they decided to
- 11:08Speaker 1: empty the fire hydrants and had to a swim up
- 11:10Speaker 1: bar in Ghana with Karen Bath. So she's fired up.
- 11:13Speaker 1: We're gonna have a good pow wow with Kennedy later.
- 11:15Speaker 2: All right, And it's just great. So three hours of great,
- 11:18Speaker 2: great talk and fun and the last you'll love it. It's
- 11:20Speaker 2: tonight and every weeknight nine to midnight on seven to
- 11:23Speaker 2: ten WOR. And if you want tickets to the TV show,
- 11:27Speaker 2: you go to Fox Across America dot com.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yes, sir, log on cheap date and you'll look good.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's the TV tape and very fancy. The studio makes
- 11:36Speaker 1: my show look a lot classier than it is. It's free, Fox,
- 11:39Speaker 1: Huge taked yep, Fox.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Across America dot Com. Jimmy Faile, I always love talking
