- 0:00They're going to have a ton of money to spend.
- 0:01Why not putting in one of the top three offensive players in
- 0:05the league? We're going to be looking at
- 0:14Aaron Judge and saying that he can't win the big game, Michael
- 0:17Jordan said. I played 82 games.
- 0:20You don't see LeBron doing. That a game where you got to.
- 0:24Go for four, I told you, Giant fans and Saquon Barker this.
- 1:26For listening to Jabba and the mouth.
- 1:28Mouth. Yes, yes, yes, he's back.
- 1:34He's he doesn't have much of A tan.
- 1:36He didn't really hang out. I, I'm talking in a third person
- 1:39now. I don't know, I'm a little drawn
- 1:41today. It was a long, long day.
- 1:44But yes, this is a new show of Jabba and the Mouth.
- 1:50I am the one they call the mouth.
- 1:52Arrow marks my Co host the flamethrower himself.
- 1:56I'm not going to do it. Jabba Chamberlain, Speedy PD
- 2:01producer and our Co host executive producer who just
- 2:05filled in to me for me on Monday.
- 2:07Shout out to fish. Fantastic on the board as
- 2:12always. Mr. Poops himself, Tommy Scoopa,
- 2:15the Poopa. Go to our website at
- 2:18www.worldwidesportsradio.com. Check out all our shows
- 2:22throughout the week, including Jabba in the Mouth every single
- 2:26Mondays and now Wednesdays at 7:30 PM.
- 2:30All you have to do to tune in and check out our local listings
- 2:32for all our shows is go to our website at
- 2:34www.worldwidesportsradio.com. You know, it's so interesting
- 2:43being away from the show for just one, just one.
- 2:47Everybody asked me what is it like just being away from the
- 2:50show? And I had a couple of people
- 2:51reach out to me after Monday's show.
- 2:53And he said it's it just doesn't.
- 2:55Even though fish did a great job, it doesn't seem like the
- 2:58same without you. And I said, oh, that's a baloney
- 3:01statement. There's always something that
- 3:03you want to eat and whatever you're chugging or smoking or
- 3:06eating, as I just said, baloney. Or if you like anything, I don't
- 3:09know, pastrami, whatever you like.
- 3:11Jabba likes his stuff over there in Nebraska.
- 3:13He likes his corn, whatever, whatever he likes to munch on
- 3:15with some butter. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's
- 3:18not the same when you're away and you want to be a part of
- 3:22something that you really helped create.
- 3:24So it was fun, but wasn't and it wasn't fun today.
- 3:28I will get into that in just a few moments.
- 3:30Jabba, what is up my friend? Nada, just, you know, watching
- 3:35these games. Had a nice day here.
- 3:38It's been it's been chilly. It's it's kind of we get all
- 3:41three seasons in one day here right now.
- 3:43So if you wake up and it's 50°, then by lunchtime it's about 65
- 3:47and then by it's about 81 right now, starting to cool off.
- 3:51But yeah, so it's just another day in paradise.
- 3:56This will be probably my last show for the week because I'm
- 3:59moving and anybody that's moved knows I would rather run in
- 4:02traffic right now. So well.
- 4:03Hold on one second. This is our last show of the
- 4:07week. This is I know well for for next
- 4:10week. I'm going to jump on here and
- 4:12there, but I got. It I got.
- 4:14It, but yeah. So yeah, anybody that's done
- 4:16that, yeah, I'd rather go run against traffic, right.
- 4:18Now, well, Jabba, I think you're talking out of your computer.
- 4:21Go check out your I don't know, there's something in your
- 4:25settings that it might be missing.
- 4:27I think you're coming out of your computer speaker, not your
- 4:30mic speaker. So just try to Tran, you know,
- 4:32with stream yard, that might help.
- 4:34But there's a what? Gotcha.
- 4:37I don't know, maybe a pop right in, pop right out.
- 4:40But it was an interesting, interesting week for me.
- 4:44And I, I want to go over the craziness of my week and I got a
- 4:49chance to see Nick Goody. I had a chance to go and meet up
- 4:52with Nick and we really didn't do anything except throw a
- 4:55baseball around, which I haven't done in three years, guys.
- 4:58So Nick wanted to see some kind of skill, and I think I
- 5:01impressed him enough because I caught most of his balls.
- 5:05He was throwing me knuckleballs. He was throwing me fastballs.
- 5:09He would tell you that he wasn't throwing hard enough.
- 5:12But nevertheless, he put a little sting on my hand.
- 5:15And by the way, he doesn't put any oil in his glove.
- 5:19The glove doesn't shut. And I said, Nick, what kind of
- 5:21glove is this? And he says, well, I always have
- 5:23my gloves like this. I said, how the hell you catch a
- 5:25baseball? You play professional baseball
- 5:27and you can catch a baseball like that.
- 5:29But I had a lot of fun with Nick for a couple of minutes,
- 5:33actually hung out for about an hour and a half, got to watch.
- 5:36I got a chance to watch his son Braxton play a little ball.
- 5:39So it was fun. I love his kids.
- 5:40His kids are so great. They're so cute.
- 5:43Braxton is up and coming baseball star second baseman,
- 5:48Yes, ladies and gentlemen. And he's got on his jersey.
- 5:51I, I don't know what they call themselves.
- 5:52It's it's I don't, I don't want to say it because I completely
- 5:54forgot, but they're wearing Blue Jays hats.
- 5:57Yes, they were wearing Blue Jay hats.
- 6:00And when I saw that that was a jinx for the New York Yankees on
- 6:04Sunday Night Baseball, I said it to Goody.
- 6:06I said the game is over for the, the, the New York Yankees.
- 6:09They're not winning this game. It doesn't matter what
- 6:12Schlittler was going to do. And I was right, I was right.
- 6:18And they, they really just got smoked.
- 6:21And I will get into them in just a few moments.
- 6:23But yeah, it was, it was interesting.
- 6:25And then today, I, I, I, I'm not going to go through a little
- 6:28week because it, I don't want to bore you guys.
- 6:30And we traveled a lot. We went shopping a lot because
- 6:33that's what Brittany likes to do.
- 6:35She likes to Take Me Out shopping and I spend too much
- 6:38money. And by the way, we will sing
- 6:40happy birthday at the end of the night.
- 6:41It is going to be Brittany's birthday at midnight.
- 6:44She's born 10/10/89. So happy birthday to my girl.
- 6:49So we'll sing it when it when it comes close to it.
- 6:51But yeah, it was it was so fun in some kind of ways.
- 6:55I just didn't like to go shoe shoe shopping with her and I
- 6:58went to a wedding. To say, did you, did you get any
- 7:00shoes? No.
- 7:01Well, that's, that's a lie. I can't lie to you.
- 7:04I got a couple of sneakers. I I did, I, I did.
- 7:07I can't lie to you. And I got a new hat.
- 7:09This is a new hat. And I wasn't going to buy any
- 7:11hats, ladies and gentlemen. I was not.
- 7:13And I I went to lids. We went to Tampa International
- 7:17Mall and we we walked. Around I love that mall.
- 7:19Yeah, it's beautiful mall, Beautiful mall.
- 7:21If nobody's ever been to Tampa International Mall, it's right
- 7:24next to the airport over there. It is beautiful.
- 7:27It it's, it's clean, it's everything.
- 7:30And, and people are so nice over there in Tampa, especially over
- 7:34there on the airplanes. They're so much nicer until you
- 7:36come over here to New York. It doesn't matter if you you're
- 7:38JetBlue and you're not from New York and you're working for
- 7:41JetBlue, you're probably an ass. But what for some reason, when
- 7:45you're coming from Florida or you're flying from Florida,
- 7:48you're nicer. There's just nice people over
- 7:50there at the airport. And then they tell to make a
- 7:53Long story short today, so we didn't have a ride home.
- 7:57All right, so everybody knows it's Comic Con.
- 8:00It starts this weekend. Everybody knows that.
- 8:03Well, we made the mistake coming home on the week that Comic Con
- 8:09is hosting again here in New York, which they always do.
- 8:13Is it still at the Javits Center?
- 8:15Yep, it's still at the Javits Center and it's one of the most
- 8:19craziest weekends of the year. There's so many comic book fans
- 8:24and you know, all these different like Lord of the Ring
- 8:27fans, they dress up, they get crazy.
- 8:29And you know, I I don't do it. Have you ever been to 1?
- 8:33I've been to two of them and I've been to, I was invited to
- 8:37one of them, as you know, media guy.
- 8:40I never got a chance to do that. I definitely one of these days
- 8:43or one of these years, I will love to go over there, actually
- 8:47job in the mouth, go over there and do a show live at Comic Con.
- 8:50I I think that would be fun. And you could finally be the
- 8:52Purple Urple. I'll be the purple Urple I'm.
- 8:54Somebody, hey, we'd have to go. We have to buy in though.
- 8:57We can't do, we can't go and like our stuff.
- 8:59We, I mean, we'd have to like be all in, like we got to go, all
- 9:03right. Full board.
- 9:04All right, so your Papa Smurf. I'm sniveling Smurf and will be
- 9:08The Smurfs. Fish likes wearing blue, so I
- 9:10don't think that'll be hard for him.
- 9:12I. This is like swearing in blue
- 9:16placer, so that won't be hard for.
- 9:17Him. You know what?
- 9:18I'll be well. Who's the they?
- 9:19Think it just wear what he normally wears.
- 9:20Well, who's? They'll think it's fun.
- 9:22Who's the woman Smurf? I don't know names.
- 9:24What is that? What is that?
- 9:25What is her name? I know Gargamel.
- 9:28Somebody's got to. You know what?
- 9:29I'm Gargamel. I'll be Gargamel.
- 9:31That would be good. Yeah.
- 9:32Smurfette. That's her name.
- 9:34That's. I remember it.
- 9:35Smurfette. So speedy, you have to dress up
- 9:37like the girl. You're Smurfette.
- 9:38You have to be. You've dressed up in wigs and
- 9:41dresses. Yeah, thanks to the thanks to
- 9:43the Carl. Thank you ladies and gentlemen,
- 9:47you did lose a bet and it was a sensational 1 and.
- 9:50You and the bee even enjoyed that, if anybody's.
- 9:52Seen the movie The Ring, Speedy looked identical from the girl
- 9:56coming out of the television. Has anybody seen that?
- 9:59He was like, I got to get that picture.
- 10:01I I will send that picture is one of the most ridiculous ugly
- 10:06looking girls I've ever seen and Speedy just played the part
- 10:09perfectly. Am I right Speedy?
- 10:11Did you? I don't know.
- 10:13I went to the analogy. So he, so he, I had him wear
- 10:16his, his grandmother's moo moo. Has anybody seen a moo moo
- 10:19before? It's a it's a dress that goes
- 10:22over a woman because they're a little too big, you know, a moo
- 10:25moo. Yeah.
- 10:27So there was no dress. So Speedy I told Speedy I
- 10:30actually went tie yes, Oh my God, you you have to see it and
- 10:35he got a red. I had I actually went to get him
- 10:39a red wig all right. It was absolutely hilarious.
- 10:44I have to send if I could go through my picture some part of
- 10:48this show and send it to fish. It will be posted.
- 10:51It is one of the funniest pictures and yes, I was wearing
- 10:54a shirt sent by snug the cat. He, he sent me this ugly cat
- 11:00riding this like Unicorn and he had this infatuation of unicorns
- 11:06and, and cats riding. And it was one of the most
- 11:09despicable shirts I've ever seen.
- 11:10And yes, I, I enjoyed wearing it to show off his great artistic
- 11:15work. So, yeah.
- 11:17So, so we get to the airport and we're trying to find an Uber or
- 11:20Lyft and Brittany finds out it's going to cost about $200 to get
- 11:23to her house. And we're like, why is it going
- 11:25to cost $200 to get to your house?
- 11:27It's 40 miles away because there's traffic.
- 11:30Because of Comic Con. It took us 2 1/2 hours to get to
- 11:37her house, 2 1/2 hours to get to her house.
- 11:40And I want to give a shout out to Muhammad, who took us home.
- 11:43I had him laughing. Had him.
- 11:45Yeah. He didn't know who he was
- 11:46speaking to and I'm sure. He'll What does it normally
- 11:49take? How long?
- 11:50How long does it normally? 40 minutes, 40 minutes for for
- 11:5440 miles and where she was, where she located and she's in
- 11:59kind of like borderline Lindenhurst, North Babylon.
- 12:02It would have taken us probably 40 to 45 minutes if there wasn't
- 12:05traffic like that for Comic Con. It was horrible, absolutely
- 12:09horrible. And it was very costly for us.
- 12:12Brittany was not happy. I was definitely not happy and
- 12:15I'm not going to attack Florida because she told me don't you
- 12:19attack Florida on this show at all.
- 12:21So I am going to zip her and button my lip for this show
- 12:24because it is her birthday and I don't want to annoy her.
- 12:27And she's probably watching this right now telling me you better
- 12:29not do it. You better not do it.
- 12:31So I will hold back Jabba as everybody is probably wondering
- 12:36how crazy and crusty my week was.
- 12:38And by the way, the cops out there are absolutely horrendous.
- 12:42It's like they go in like, I don't know, it's like a flurry
- 12:46of craziness. One night they're all over the
- 12:48place, the next night you can't find a damn cop when something's
- 12:51going on. I I don't get it.
- 12:53I I don't get it. But nevertheless, yeah.
- 12:56Oh, by the way, it is. It'll be Tommy's birthday next
- 12:59show. So we'll be celebrating Tommy's
- 13:01birthday next Monday. So that'll be fun.
- 13:03How? Old How old is Tommy?
- 13:06I am going to be turning 23 years of age, so yeah.
- 13:10Holy I got draws older than you dog.
- 13:16I wish I was 23 if I was 23. When I was 23, I was in Germany
- 13:20and I got a chance to go that year to Poland, Germany,
- 13:24Amsterdam and Egypt that year. Yeah.
- 13:28So that was fun job. Are you still wearing them
- 13:29drawers? That's the question, though.
- 13:31The New York Yankees were eliminated from the playoffs on
- 13:34Wednesday nights by the Toronto Blue Jays three games to one,
- 13:38losing Game 4 by a score of five to two.
- 13:41Following his historic debut, which Fish almost you know,
- 13:45blasted in his pants versus the Red Sox, Cam Schlitner.
- 13:49Schlitler had a good but not great start throwing 6.1 innings
- 13:55giving up eight hits with only two strikeouts but gave up only
- 14:00two earned runs and had no walks.
- 14:04The back breaking play in the game was the error by the one
- 14:08and only you know who, Jazz Chisholm as you call him.
- 14:13Chisholm in the 7th inning that could have been an inning ending
- 14:19double play but ended up scoring 2 on earned runs in the seventh
- 14:24inning giving the Blue Jays the cushion they needed.
- 14:28The Blue Jays The Blue Jays mostly shut down the Yankees
- 14:31with a bullpen game in game #4 pitching all of their best
- 14:36relievers, keeping the Yankees to only two runs and six hits
- 14:40with 10 strikeouts. In the four games of the series,
- 14:44the Blue Jays had seven different pit players with four
- 14:48or more hits including infielder, infielder Ernie
- 14:52Clement and star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero.
- 14:55Junior having nine hits each despite losing the series, Aaron
- 15:00Judge showed up in the big in a big way in 2025.
- 15:05In the 2025 playoffs with nine hits, four walks in this series
- 15:11and 13 hits overall. In the playoffs, Judge was 2 for
- 15:15four with an intentional walk and an RBI in the 9th inning of
- 15:20of game fours loss. The Yankees legend Derek Jeter
- 15:26and Alex Rodriguez trashed the Yankees front office after the
- 15:29game, saying that Aaron Boone deserves the least amount of
- 15:33blame on the results of this series.
- 15:35Instead focusing on a poor roster construction and in game
- 15:39moves made by the front office instead of Boone.
- 15:43The Blue Jays advance to their first LALCS since 2016 when they
- 15:50lost to the Guardians team. The team with Jabba Chamberlain
- 15:55on that roster. While the Yankees haven't won
- 15:58since Nebraska's finest done it in pinstripes back in 2009.
- 16:03I knew Fish had to add that he wanted to give Jabba that.
- 16:07Like me. By the way, I want to give a
- 16:09shout out to Jabba Chamberlain. He was on the MLB Network this
- 16:12morning at 9:00 hanging out with the boys and and talking about a
- 16:16little Yankee baseball and I was show.
- 16:19So I want to give a shout out to Java Show or, or may I add this
- 16:22one because I have to do this. I'm sure he was waiting for
- 16:25this. Droba.
- 16:26That's right. Droba Pass Liquor.
- 16:29Anyways, I I have to get into this because a lot of people are
- 16:32taking shots at Aaron Boone for pulling Schlittler as early as
- 16:36he did. Now Schlittler could have been
- 16:38pulled in the 5th inning. He went out there, a lot of
- 16:41people thought they were pulling him.
- 16:42He kept them in and he got out of that inning.
- 16:45He came out and he he did what he needed to do as a starting
- 16:48pitcher. They rest assured to him that
- 16:51they were going to give him an opportunity to get out of that
- 16:53inning and he did in the 5th inning.
- 16:55And then as he moved forward in the 6th inning, he fell into
- 16:58trouble again, giving giving up a a hit and putting a man in in
- 17:03a position where we knew that one way or another we're going
- 17:06to steal 2nd. And they were going to play
- 17:09small ball, which the Blue Jays love to do.
- 17:11They're an offensive team. They're not really a defensive
- 17:13team. Throughout this season, they've
- 17:15had good pitching up and down. Their defense has been up and
- 17:18down in this series. They've been up and down.
- 17:21If you remember the last game they played against the Yankees,
- 17:24honestly, the Blue Jays should have won that game.
- 17:26It was 6 to one. There was no way the Yankees had
- 17:29any breathing room and Aaron Judge hit that three run shot,
- 17:34which absolutely was remarkable. Everybody's sitting here.
- 17:37I'm going to give a shout out and attack by the WFN guys
- 17:41because when I was in Orlando listening to that garbage and
- 17:45I'm not getting, I'm going to just say it.
- 17:46S Licata, of course, S freaking Licata, All right.
- 17:52He came out and said the series is over for the Blue Jays.
- 17:55They're going to choke the Yankees.
- 17:56Don't the Yankees are going to run away with this series.
- 17:59There's no chance the Blue Jays are going to come back and win
- 18:01this series, even though they were up two to one and they
- 18:04still we're in the driver's seat.
- 18:07He said there's no way the Yankees lose this series.
- 18:10Boy, Licata, I would love and I didn't listen to a show today
- 18:12because I didn't want to hear it.
- 18:14It's absolute ridiculousness. I didn't want to hear it.
- 18:17The fact here is there's a lot of people to blame here, but
- 18:21there's one guy you can't blame. There's one guy you cannot
- 18:25diminish what he has done throughout this playoff run in
- 18:282025, and that's Aaron Judge. Aaron Judge in this playoff run
- 18:34was hitting 505 hundred throughout the playoffs.
- 18:41Now everybody's come out and said that Aaron Judge isn't a
- 18:43playoff player. He can't do it in the big game.
- 18:47He couldn't do it in the World Series.
- 18:48He couldn't do it here. He couldn't do it there.
- 18:50He goes into these these hitting slumps where he can't hit home
- 18:54runs for 1520 games. This guy is not the real deal.
- 18:58This guy is not a money player. Well, ladies and gentlemen, this
- 19:02guy was the best hitter in baseball this year.
- 19:05He was the best hitter in baseball last year.
- 19:07He was the best hitter in baseball the year before that.
- 19:11This guy is by far the best player in baseball and you can't
- 19:16take that away from him. I'm not saying Shay Ohtani isn't
- 19:19the best, best player in the National League.
- 19:20I'm not saying Shay Ohtani shouldn't win the National
- 19:23League MVP. He might.
- 19:26And we've seen what the Dodgers are doing to Philadelphia or
- 19:29what they didn't did to Philadelphia in that series, the
- 19:33Dodgers. And we expected this and I, I
- 19:34will get it to the Dodgers a little bit later in the shot.
- 19:36I don't want to, I, I have to crush this guy.
- 19:40Jazz Jism is a complete moron, OK?
- 19:47The whole season since the Home Run Derby, after the Home Run
- 19:51Derby, only hitting three home runs in the Home Run Derby,
- 19:54embarrassing himself as he did in the Home Run Derby and coming
- 20:00out and saying we're still the best defensive team in the MOB,
- 20:05we're still the best team in the American League.
- 20:06Heck, we're going to go to the World Series this year.
- 20:11That's what Jazz Chism said to all you fans out there, all you
- 20:16blind Yankee fans that I knew. If there was somebody that was
- 20:20going to screw this up, it was going to be that idiot, that
- 20:24moron. And boy, did he do it in such
- 20:28great fashion, such great fashion.
- 20:31Ladies and gentlemen, a guy that is a pretty good defensive
- 20:35player. We could say that we can argue
- 20:37he is one of the better second baseman in the league and in the
- 20:41big game. And everybody wants to give Jazz
- 20:43Jism all the credit in the world because of game #3 Do we
- 20:51remember the hit that he had? I'm sorry, the home run that he
- 20:55had, everybody was like, Oh my God, yeah.
- 21:01He showed everybody what he can do in the big game.
- 21:04Choke, choke, choke. And what is everybody doing or
- 21:07whatever. What are the fans doing on
- 21:09social media right now? They're not blaming Jazz.
- 21:11Give Jazz his money, give it to him.
- 21:14Nobody's attacking Aaron Judge. They shouldn't.
- 21:17Nobody's going to attack Bellinger.
- 21:18Was he good in the series? Not really.
- 21:22Nobody was really good in the series, including Giancarlo
- 21:25Stan, who finally hit a home run in the playoffs and it was
- 21:29against the Blue Jays. No Errol, I'm just going to
- 21:32interrupt you for a second. Good.
- 21:33Is is not even close. Judge hit 500 right?
- 21:38Yep. The worst hitting team in
- 21:40baseball this year was the Pirates at 2:31.
- 21:43What do you think? The rest of the team, if your
- 21:45name wasn't Aaron Judge hit combined. 1:30 2:10 2/22/20 I'm
- 21:52I'm so I, I was going a little too low there, you see, I don't.
- 21:55Even stand still got over 250 after all, but he was still
- 21:58struggling before that it looked.
- 21:59A lot worse than it did because I thought it was a lot worse
- 22:02than 220. I thought it was in the ones.
- 22:04That's how bad I thought the Yankees were offensively.
- 22:07They looked abysmal and, and this Blue Jays pitching squad
- 22:11and I want to hear about Kevin Gossman, who everybody said he,
- 22:14this guy is an absolute beast and great starting pitcher.
- 22:18And, and, and we could go on and on about the youngster that had
- 22:2011 strikeouts in game #2 we, we can, we could go on and on about
- 22:25the Blue Jays and what they did. And by the way, Schneider
- 22:27deserves a little bit more credit than people are giving
- 22:30him. They wanted to attack him in
- 22:31game #3 because he made the wrong decisions on the pitching
- 22:35and, and some of the rotation of bringing in guys off the bench
- 22:39and, and saying that Snyder should have shut him down and
- 22:43Snyder should really stuck it to the Yankees in the early
- 22:45innings. So the Yankees had no breathing
- 22:47room. Well, Snyder showed you why his
- 22:52Blue Jays are heading on to the LCS and the Yankees are going
- 22:55home and hanging out with their kids and playing golf and
- 22:59wondering who are they going to bring back next year.
- 23:01Is it going to be Bellinger? Are they going to go after Kyle
- 23:03Tucker? Are they going to go bring in
- 23:05some more pitching? I don't know what they're going
- 23:07to do. I know Garrett Cole will be back
- 23:08at one point sometime next year, but who knows?
- 23:11Schlittler, I know everybody. Yankee fans jumping for joy.
- 23:14We love what we see. He's 22 years old and he's
- 23:17special and we'll see because he's going to go into a
- 23:20sophomore year next year. This is going to be a full
- 23:23season up in the big leagues. Lot of pressure on him.
- 23:26Fans are going to really stick it to him and expect him to go
- 23:29out there and be an Andy Pettitte, Garrett Cole light
- 23:33player. But I'm going to tell you this,
- 23:35what Schlittler did not do a lot in game #4 that probably was
- 23:41costly for him. And, and I'm not saying he was
- 23:44bad, I'm just saying he didn't throw any off speed pitches.
- 23:47It was all fastballs, practically all six innings.
- 23:51I think he threw like, if I'm not mistaken, 7 or 6 off speed
- 23:55pitches. He gave up two runs.
- 23:58I understand that. But you cannot get a good.
- 24:00You're not going to be able to do that for the rest of your
- 24:03career and expect to be as good as you were this year.
- 24:05Not a lot of these teams seen you.
- 24:07I know the Blue Jays did, but a lot of these teams didn't really
- 24:11see him enough. There's not enough video,
- 24:13there's not enough film of him. Now teams are going to study
- 24:17him. The economic or whatever we call
- 24:20it, the analytics are going to be out on him and they're going
- 24:23to figure him out. So he's going to have to figure
- 24:26out how to throw that change up. He's going to have to figure out
- 24:28when he's going to throw that curveball and he's going to have
- 24:31to figure out when he should use those off speed pitches.
- 24:34But I'm not attacking what the way he pitched.
- 24:37I'm just, I have to look at it. They look at the game as an
- 24:41analyst and I'm analyzing what I saw and it doesn't mean that I
- 24:45don't think Schlittler is going to be good and or I don't think
- 24:48the Yankees don't have somebody and something special in
- 24:50Schlittler. He is a he's a bona fide number
- 24:52one. And going into next year, if the
- 24:55Yankees have 3 bona fide number ones.
- 24:59Now if you think about it, you have Garrett Cole back.
- 25:03Well, I wrote Don I, I don't know what you call him, but.
- 25:06I won 18 games bro. Yeah, he won 18 games.
- 25:09And when it comes, when the going gets tough and when it
- 25:11comes to the big games, the guy completely disappears.
- 25:14And we've seen this before, not just with.
- 25:15The so OK, so so Clayton Kershaw is not an ace.
- 25:18I I didn't say Clayton Kershaw is not an ace, but Clayton
- 25:21Kershaw. But you're comparing Clayton
- 25:23Kershaw is not a good playoff pitch.
- 25:24And then when the big game. No, he he doesn't win the big
- 25:27game. And if you want to ask me right
- 25:28now is Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw could have been, I'm
- 25:30telling you, Clayton Kershaw if, if, if you were going to look at
- 25:33his analytics in the playoffs and consider him a Hall of
- 25:36Famer, if he wasn't as great as he was in a regular season, he
- 25:39is definitely not a Hall of Famer, definitely not Clayton
- 25:42Kershaw. If you look at what he has done
- 25:44as a left-handed power pitcher and, and, and probably the best
- 25:48curveball I've ever seen a left-handed throw.
- 25:51He was bad in the playoffs. He was just bad.
- 25:55And if you're going to tell me right now?
- 25:57So, so you're saying you're a Hall of Famer if you just are
- 25:59great in the playoffs? Like you don't have to be good
- 26:01in the. Regular.
- 26:02Not. Not what I'm saying.
- 26:03I'm saying right now, if you were to tell me Clayton Kershaw,
- 26:07if he was sensational in the playoffs and he wasn't really
- 26:10good in his career in the regular season, he is not a Hall
- 26:13of Famer in 162 games and you're winning an average of 18 to 20
- 26:17games a season for like 7 years in a row and with a A1 point ERA
- 26:22or something what, a 1.63 or a low 2 and he's he's strikeouts
- 26:28over 300 almost every single year.
- 26:30Yeah, you're a Hall of Famer. That's the way baseball works.
- 26:33But if you're going to tell me right now what Kershaw did in
- 26:36the playoffs in his career and you're you're going to say if he
- 26:39didn't do that in the regular season and he did that in in the
- 26:42playoffs, he did as dominant as we've seen some of the Yankee
- 26:45pitchers over the years like an Andy Pettitte did in the
- 26:47playoffs. He's all of it.
- 26:48And Andy Pettitte was good in the regular season and he was
- 26:51good in the playoffs, even more dominant in the playoffs when it
- 26:54going gets tough, you want to give Andy Pettitte the baseball
- 26:571996 when the Yankees were down. Do we remember 2 all against the
- 27:02Braves? Who got the ball?
- 27:04Andy Pettitte. OK.
- 27:06And maybe. Slipper.
- 27:07So is Andy Pettitte an ace? Andy Pettitte is as good an ace
- 27:11as the Yankees have had in 25 years in my eyes.
- 27:15And that, that goes for Garrett Cole.
- 27:16Because as good as Garrett Cole is, Garrett Cole's had one good
- 27:20playoff run with the Yankees. That's my opinion.
- 27:23One good playoff run. And that was last year.
- 27:26And if you ask me right now, Andy Pettitte, every single
- 27:29year, every single playoff run, Andy Pettitte, the Yankees.
- 27:33And yes, yes, your man Joe Torry went to Andy.
- 27:38He did. He always went to Andy when when
- 27:41he needed it out or he needed somebody.
- 27:43I saw Andy Pettitte come out of the bullpen in some games in the
- 27:47in the late 90s. He did whatever Joe Torry wanted
- 27:50him to do. And that's why Andy Pettitte is
- 27:52one of the greatest Yankees of all time.
- 27:54And you heard it from me. Top 10 greatest Yankees of all
- 27:57time. Coming from me who watches the
- 28:00Yankees religiously since the day I was 86, it was the first
- 28:04time I watched the Yankee game. I knew what the Yankees were and
- 28:07I was a die hard Don Mattingly fan.
- 28:09I'm just saying the truth here. Top 10 ought like pitcher or
- 28:12like just Yankee in general. Yankee top 10 Yankee of all
- 28:17time. I would Andy Pettit is a Hall of
- 28:19Famer. He is a Hall of Famer and the
- 28:22fact that he did HGH and he admitted to it, it to me should
- 28:27absolutely put him into the Hall of Fame.
- 28:28Barry Bonds should be in the Hall of Fame.
- 28:31I've said this many, many times Sammy's so sorry, I don't know I
- 28:34because if you look at Sammy's numbers before he did steroids,
- 28:37he wasn't that good. Mark McGwire was a good player
- 28:41before he did steroids. So I I'm just I don't want to go
- 28:45off track here. The fact here is I absolutely
- 28:48agree with Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez.
- 28:51Absolutely agree. This is Brian Cashman's fault.
- 28:55It's his fault. You could say whatever you want.
- 28:57He thought Jazz Jism was the guy.
- 29:00He thought that Jazzy was going to make the plays that he needed
- 29:04to make in certain, and this wasn't the first time he did.
- 29:07He made a mistake in the playoffs.
- 29:09This was the third time, the third time in this playoff run
- 29:13he made a mistake, a selfish mistake.
- 29:17And by the way, after the fact, the game before which the
- 29:21Yankees won, him yawning after making a mistake was pathetic,
- 29:25absolute patheticness by the one and only who I call Jazzism.
- 29:32He's an idiot. He's a moron, and he doesn't
- 29:34belong on this team. And if the Yankees pay them,
- 29:36they're making a big mistake. I've said it once and I'll say
- 29:39it again, he is not a Yankee. He's not Yankee fans.
- 29:42Stop it. I am drawn out of the thought
- 29:47that any Yankee fan believes that this man is and should be a
- 29:52guy that should be getting $160 million as a contract.
- 29:56I just, I, I don't get it. I don't get any Yankee fan that
- 30:00believes this guy is worth a bit of that money that the Yankees
- 30:04are going to dish out to even Bellinger, who was great in the
- 30:06regular season but didn't show up in the playoffs when the
- 30:09Yankees needed him. He had a couple of hits, but not
- 30:12enough. What was he hitting in the
- 30:14playoffs? Like 197 I.
- 30:16Think, I mean, that's not going to get it done.
- 30:18You're you're going on a, you're going on a, a walk here and the
- 30:22Yankees are looking, Hey, do we bring Bellinger back or do we go
- 30:25after Kyle Tucker? You know, if he's available,
- 30:27maybe we go. I know Kyle Tucker wasn't great
- 30:29in the second-half, but he's younger or a little bit younger,
- 30:33not much younger, but a little bit younger and, and to me a
- 30:37better all around player then Bellinger.
- 30:39I know you disagree with me and that's fine Jabba, that's fine.
- 30:42If if you disagree, if the Yankee fans disagree with me,
- 30:45that's fine. Disagree with me.
- 30:47I I just think that it's selfish for anything to go after Aaron
- 30:52Boone. Aaron Boone did what he was
- 30:54supposed to do. Now some of his, you know,
- 30:57moving pitchers around and bringing in relief pitchers in
- 31:00certain innings. There are questions to that.
- 31:02I why did he do that? Maybe it wasn't him, maybe it
- 31:06was up top telling him to pull Schlittler like he did in the
- 31:106th inning. Now I I thought he did the right
- 31:13move. I think I thought he made the
- 31:14right move. Now I don't know if I would have
- 31:16brought Tevin Williams in. That's that guy.
- 31:19I didn't understand. I I was thrown off the way they
- 31:23decided to go that route. But and everybody's going to
- 31:26say, well, who would you were brought in?
- 31:28Well, that's a good question. That is a really good question
- 31:31and only if I looked at the situation for what it was and I
- 31:35really didn't, I probably would have given you an answer.
- 31:38But I'm traveling all day, so I really couldn't have scoped
- 31:42anything out any more than I did.
- 31:44But shame on Yankee fans on social media attacking this man.
- 31:48This man deserves a little bit more credit for what he did,
- 31:50especially in the second-half of the season.
- 31:52Got this team playing and playing at a high level.
- 31:54This team almost won the division.
- 31:57And I'll tell you this, if the Yankees won the division this
- 31:59year, they beat the Blue Jays. They beat the Blue Jays because
- 32:04it's very, very hard to play in Toronto.
- 32:07Toronto is not an easy place to by the way, if you look at
- 32:10Toronto's record in the last five year, five years comparable
- 32:14to the Dodgers. And then this is the same Blue
- 32:17Jays team that doesn't make the playoffs and and it's but they
- 32:21made the playoffs twice in the last 6.
- 32:23Years 22 and 23, they made it, and then 21, they were pretty
- 32:25close. I think they were like a game
- 32:27behind the Yankees. And if you look at their home
- 32:28record and in all the baseball, they're in the top three.
- 32:32They're not easy to beat in Toronto.
- 32:35So I, I don't know, I, I, I know Yankee fans are probably crushed
- 32:39and, and you should be, but I, I know somebody that is definitely
- 32:43going to reach out tonight and have his own opinion.
- 32:46That's Keith. Because he owes me a course.
- 32:48He owes me a dinner. He lost the bet.
- 32:50I did win that bet. I said that the Yankees weren't
- 32:53going to make the ALCS. And ladies and gentlemen, I was
- 32:57right. I'm not going to say again
- 32:58because I don't want to. I don't want to upset Jabba or
- 33:01Droba as we all know. They, they ain't paying my
- 33:04bills. I don't, I don't, I say it the
- 33:06way it is. I mean, if they pay my bills,
- 33:08it's one thing. They ain't paying my bills.
- 33:10By the way, before I get into my thing, Jabba my Indo, I saw your
- 33:14reply to a a tweet that it said if Ryan Cashman was ever in your
- 33:17ear, yeah, making managerial decisions, you would never be
- 33:19the manager of the team, which I thought was pretty funny.
- 33:21A. 100% yeah, without a doubt. Yeah.
- 33:24And I think a lot of that has to do with the approach of the end
- 33:26of taking right now when you end up getting the either the wrong
- 33:29types of the analytics or the wrong types of the players, like
- 33:32trying to mesh together. And I think it's kind of hard to
- 33:34do that kind of thing when you have a lineup that's kind of the
- 33:37fusion of many different things all at once that just hasn't
- 33:40worked out. And you're trying to work in the
- 33:42younger players. They played well at the end of
- 33:44the year. Austin Wells got hot at the end
- 33:45of the year. Even Volpe, the last few weeks
- 33:47of the season actually played well.
- 33:48And he actually was playing well in the beginning of the playoffs
- 33:50too, in that Red Sox series. But it just it steamed out
- 33:53eventually. And and the rest of the veteran
- 33:55lineup didn't do enough to compensate for that.
- 33:57But at the time of the trade deadline, you're thinking, OK,
- 34:00are they going to get one more big bat and they end up going to
- 34:02get a Med Rosario and McMahon, who actually played well.
- 34:05I think McMahon was the only other guy besides Judge to hit
- 34:07over 300 in that series. So I guess he was fine.
- 34:09But as your main hitting piece, it didn't really seem straight.
- 34:12So I I do agree with what you were saying about Cashman and
- 34:15Derek Jeter and a Rod throwing Cashman under the bus as badly
- 34:19as they did. And again, you waste what it was
- 34:21a memorable run for a young kid in Schlittler.
- 34:24I know obviously he got pulled in the 6th inning, had to battle
- 34:27more through that one. But like you were saying, Errol,
- 34:29he had to change his approach a little bit, throw more off
- 34:31speed, but just because he threw 96 out of 100 fastballs under 7
- 34:35pitches as fastballs in the next game.
- 34:36So it was going to get predictable against a good line
- 34:38up with the Blue Jays. So I don't mind them do trying
- 34:40to do that. But again, Rodon and free both
- 34:42in pitch well and some of the other veteran players didn't
- 34:45show up and the Yankees can't account for that.
- 34:46That's not Boone, and that's not anyone else but them.
- 34:49Yeah, I mean, I felt like I've talked about this for about 6
- 34:52hours today. I love the fact that, you know,
- 34:55finally we're getting, you know, guys that are are put in our
- 34:59position of, of the nature of Derek and saying, you know what
- 35:04he said and you know, it's amazing because Yankee fans are
- 35:08probably taking back comes out and and says that, you know
- 35:11what, what are we doing? You know, really getting after
- 35:14Boone. He's done a great job with what
- 35:15he's had. Obviously every manager is going
- 35:17to be ridiculed for some type of decision they've made, but he's
- 35:21like he's not the one making the decision.
- 35:23And so I whether you know, and he even prefaced it saying with
- 35:27no inside knowledge. Well, you're Derek Jeter, you've
- 35:30got a little bit and you're obviously now in a position
- 35:32where you're talking about it. So coming from you is a lot
- 35:35different than coming from somebody else.
- 35:37And now as, as it's been poked and prodded at that, you know,
- 35:42he did have that little microphone or, you know, little
- 35:45earpiece in whether he did or not coming from somebody of that
- 35:48stature and, and what he's done for this organization kind of
- 35:52says a lot. And then Alex, obviously to come
- 35:54at, you know, we've got 5 DHS, 3 left-handed catchers and, you
- 35:58know, basically just pointing out exactly what a lot of people
- 36:00want to say, but coming from them is completely different.
- 36:04So I, I the same thing that I've, I've argued back and forth
- 36:08with everybody. Boone and Cashman aren't going
- 36:10anywhere. So just just drop that idea that
- 36:12you think they are because they're not.
- 36:15Are they going to make something to try to figure out to get past
- 36:20this hump? Because it's been the same thing
- 36:22year after year. And so unless something
- 36:25drastically changes, there's nothing in the front office or
- 36:28cash going anywhere and they're just going to have to figure out
- 36:31what they can do. Jazz obviously cut Weird that
- 36:35the whole yawning thing was was interesting that kind of caught,
- 36:38you know, fired with everybody saying, and then everybody
- 36:42becomes a doctor and they're like, oh, I yawn when I'm
- 36:44nervous and I yawn when I'm tired or whatever.
- 36:47I'm like, I'm not a doctor. I don't care.
- 36:49They're like, what, did you see him in a home?
- 36:50I was like, yeah, and millions of other people too.
- 36:52I just said, did you see him yawning?
- 36:54It just didn't look very good because the previous inning he
- 36:58literally had a brain fart and didn't throw it on a ball that
- 37:01belly hustled for. He got past him and and and so
- 37:03it just it didn't look great. But when it's all said and done,
- 37:09the thing that I look at is are they going to make a change in
- 37:12the way that they construct this line up the team?
- 37:16Because Boonie ain't going nowhere and cash ain't going
- 37:18nowhere. So let's let's just drop all
- 37:20that. Unless something drastically
- 37:22happens, that's not going to happen.
- 37:24So now we got to move on to a new subject and stop blaming
- 37:27them for doing what they did or didn't do, because they're
- 37:31always going to be ridiculed for what it is.
- 37:34What one of the things they said was it was it was them as people
- 37:38talking about what they were saying.
- 37:39They got 3 left-handed catchers and about 5 DHS.
- 37:44And then in this game, in this series, Trent Grisham did
- 37:47nothing. Cody Bellinger had a home run
- 37:50but was like 3 for 16. Volpe, as you know, continues to
- 37:54do nothing. Big G did nothing in this
- 37:59series. You know, that was the thing
- 38:01that made the Yankees really good down the stretch because
- 38:03they had Judge and Stanton going at the same time and Bellinger
- 38:07was solid all year. That's the three in the lineup.
- 38:11Judge was unbelievable in the series.
- 38:13That home, I'm going to try to remember the good.
- 38:15And that home run was one of the most amazing home runs I've ever
- 38:18seen. I mean, Jabba, you tell me if
- 38:20you're throwing a fastball at 100, about a foot inside and in
- 38:24the top of the zone at that height, you're not expecting
- 38:29that to be hit off the top of the foul pole.
- 38:31Well, statistically, it's never it's never happened before in
- 38:34the game of baseball since they've been keeping track.
- 38:36So we there's nothing you can even really say to go because
- 38:38it's never happened. But this is a question I'd like
- 38:41to ask you guys too. And you've probably heard it
- 38:44does that home run and and we heard from Jimmy Layerts on this
- 38:47show like that the winning is the pinnacle of like, OK, you're
- 38:52remembered forever your legend, blah, blah, blah.
- 38:55Does that home run in that situation, even though it's a
- 38:59division series, does that put him closer to that?
- 39:03I I think so because you you got to have a moment, right?
- 39:07You have to have a moment and it doesn't take away from obviously
- 39:11you don't want to lose in the division.
- 39:12I understand that. But you have to have moments in
- 39:15post seasons where OK, that's a defining 1 and that he is he
- 39:20there yet because he hasn't won. No, I will agree with that.
- 39:23But he is on his way to legend status in that uniform with that
- 39:27home run in the style that he did it.
- 39:29That's that's how I feel. I think now if you just put the
- 39:34icing on the cake, if he does win and then I mean, it's it's
- 39:38monument park anyways. And then that's just like is as
- 39:42fast as you can put it up. You know, Errol, we, we were
- 39:46talking about the the good of Justin, of Aaron Judge.
- 39:50How about the bad of Max Freed? Carlos Rodin Schlidler did the
- 39:56best he could in that game. That's just a different type of
- 39:59lineup. It's not a lot of swing and miss
- 40:01in that lineup that Toronto has. That's maybe some of the roster
- 40:04construction stuff that we need to talk about as as a franchise
- 40:08that maybe we don't want guys that strike out 150 * a year all
- 40:11throughout the lineup. Maybe we need a couple of Louisa
- 40:14rises somewhere in this lineup or maybe literally him somewhere
- 40:18in this lineup. But there's been a lot of guys
- 40:22that we were relying on that no showed.
- 40:25That series, especially the starting pitching.
- 40:28I mean, how could be the rookie the only one that showed up?
- 40:31Well, and Luis here wasn't good either the the whole squad, no
- 40:35pitching. That's the most runs they've
- 40:36ever given up in the history. Yeah, it was.
- 40:38It was bad. And again, if you're a Yankee
- 40:41fan, it wasn't even a pitcher that really upset me.
- 40:44It really was the the way they were hitting.
- 40:47They have always been this team when they get into the playoffs
- 40:52over the last I really since 2009, they go into these slumps
- 40:57and they get demolished by teams that they should be hitting
- 41:01against, pitching Staffs they should be hitting against.
- 41:04And yeah, I would say Max Freed was not good.
- 41:07He wasn't. Max Freed was good in the in the
- 41:10first round, in the wild card game against the one who only
- 41:14rides Red Sox, and everybody thought that was their World
- 41:16Series. The Yankees beat the Red Sox.
- 41:18What Schlittler did was unbelievable.
- 41:20I know Fish was like, you know, I don't know.
- 41:23I'm not going to say what he's probably doing after the game,
- 41:25but you could probably guess what I was thinking.
- 41:27But the fact here is I'm not going to say that Schlittler
- 41:32isn't a special player until we see him do it year in and year
- 41:35out. It took it took Andy Pettitte a
- 41:37little bit time, too. Andy Pettitte did it in the
- 41:40tail, you know, in the in the beginning stages of his career
- 41:43as a New York Yankee. Remember, Amy Pettitte came in
- 41:46the early 90s. I think Andy Pettitte's rookie
- 41:49season was, if I'm not mistaken, it was 93 or 94 when he came
- 41:53into the league. I think he was actually on that
- 41:5595 team. He got in there on the one that
- 41:59went to the playoffs, I believe. Didn't it?
- 42:00Didn't get called up in 94, was. A strike short and see yeah no,
- 42:03that season was was cut off half 95.
- 42:05Was a strike. All right, so 95 strike and then
- 42:0996 was when Andy Pettitte was really the guy that the Yankees
- 42:13lean to lean to in the playoffs, especially in 96.
- 42:18The only reason why the Yankees beat the Braves was because of
- 42:20Andy Pett. I don't care what anybody says,
- 42:23Andy Pettitte was the best player throughout that series.
- 42:25I don't care because when it comes down to it, pitching to me
- 42:30the most important part of a roster and a team, especially
- 42:33when you're down to against the Braves who had Tom Clavin, John
- 42:38Smoltz, Greg Maddox, and Danny Nagle.
- 42:42Remember Danny or Danny Nagle? Danny Nagle, Danny Nagle.
- 42:47I still know what I'm talking about.
- 42:49You guys try to correct me. I know what I'm talking about.
- 42:51That that rotation, that rotation was one of the best
- 42:54rotations of the last 2530 years.
- 42:57If you look at the rotation, you have 3 Hall of Farmers and, and,
- 43:01and Danny Nagle was a very good pitcher that year as well.
- 43:04So I, I'm just saying when you look at the Yankees and you, you
- 43:08understand what the Yankees have done.
- 43:10And Jabba knows because he's a Yankee.
- 43:11He was a Yankee and he's won a World Series with the Yankees in
- 43:142009. He's seen the greatness of this
- 43:18franchise and what this franchise is known to be.
- 43:21It's embarrassing when you know that the only player, the only
- 43:24two players you can lean on throughout this series against
- 43:28the Blue Jays was Aaron Judge and the youngster Cam
- 43:32Schlittler. That's it.
- 43:35That was the only two guys on. I'm not going to take shots at
- 43:38their, well, who's their closer? I always I was.
- 43:40Who was the Yankees closer? He was great.
- 43:42Betnar, Betnar. Betnar was good, too.
- 43:44I'm not going to, I'm not going to take shots at Betnar either.
- 43:46He was great throughout the playoffs.
- 43:48I want to give a shout out to that was the one move that Brian
- 43:51Cashman made at the trade deadline was a home run.
- 43:53Betnar was sensational. He had a couple of bleeps
- 43:58throughout the season when he came to the Yankees.
- 44:00I think he had a couple of closing positions and at 8th,
- 44:048th inning times that he came in that he wasn't so good.
- 44:07But really throughout the season when he came with the when the
- 44:10Yankees made the training, he was a Yankee.
- 44:12He played very, very well and the Yankees eventually leaned
- 44:15towards him being the closer. After all the craziness that the
- 44:19Yankees, the Yankees had like 5 different closes this year.
- 44:23I think it has to be the most the Yankees have started or
- 44:26tried to start closures throughout the season.
- 44:29I don't think I, I can't remember a Yankee team that had
- 44:32five or six closures in one year.
- 44:35Even when Jabba played. I don't remember.
- 44:37I I cannot remember. Nobody had a chance to.
- 44:40Moe was still here. I know, I know, but.
- 44:43I'm just saying. Even when he was, even when
- 44:45Mariano retired, he was gone. There was nobody that they're
- 44:50just it. It's just horrible.
- 44:52And the Yankees right now, we have to figure out what they are
- 44:55as a team. Do they decide that they move
- 44:58forward or move behind with Jazz Chisholm and I, I think to me
- 45:03he's not a game-winning player. He's not a player and I know
- 45:06what Jabba's going to say. He's a top ten player
- 45:08defensively at his position. He's a top ten offensive player
- 45:11at his position. Good for him.
- 45:13And when it going gets tough, the guy doesn't shut up and he
- 45:15doesn't play like a Yankee. He doesn't.
- 45:18He opens his mouth too much. I have never and I we've.
- 45:21OK, OK, but I need to ask this and this.
- 45:25This bothers me. What is he doesn't play like a
- 45:28Yankee mean? What does that mean?
- 45:31You want me to explain it? Because because I didn't play
- 45:34like a Yankee Goose, Gossage said.
- 45:36I didn't play the Yankee way. First of all, Goose Gossage
- 45:38should not be speaking and I, I, I have my own.
- 45:41OK, but that's Goose. That's why.
- 45:43That's why I'm listening. Because I hear I'll explain what
- 45:45a Yankee is. My my opinion as a Yankee fan
- 45:48growing up a Yankee fan, when you cheer for a player, OK,
- 45:54Derek Jeter, Don Mattingly. I'm talking about guys that I
- 45:58look towards, you know, in my time of being a Yankee fan and
- 46:02watching greatness. Andy Pettitte, Jimmy Key, I love
- 46:06Jimmy Key. When the Yankees brought Jimmy
- 46:07Key and I loved him. Mike Musina, all right, And
- 46:11everybody's going to say, well, Mike Musina never won a
- 46:13championship with the Yankees. Go look at what Mike Musina did
- 46:17with the New York Yankees when the Yankees signed him.
- 46:19I mean, he's a Hall of Famer and everybody's going to say his
- 46:21Baltimore years were sensational.
- 46:23He was a great pitcher for the New York Yankees.
- 46:27When you look at a Yankee, I mentioned those players.
- 46:29There are other Yankees that I can mention and if I, if I don't
- 46:32want to hurt any Yankee fans or Yankee players that are
- 46:35listening to the show right now, is feelings.
- 46:37I just gave you a feel. Those guys after the game,
- 46:41including Aaron Judge, are not about going out there and
- 46:46speaking about how great he is, how great the team is, what the
- 46:51team should be, what the team's going to be, how great the
- 46:54organization is and all that other stuff.
- 46:57You just go out there and play. Yankee players do that.
- 47:00Now I I look at guys like you, Jabba, I remember when you
- 47:05played for the Yankees and you're one of my favorite
- 47:07players. I'm not going to lie to you.
- 47:09I've told you that off air in the from 2005 to 2010, 2011, you
- 47:17are my favorite player on the Yankees.
- 47:19I loved your emotion. I loved your personality.
- 47:23I love that when you went out there and you spoke to the
- 47:25media, you never threw anybody under the bus.
- 47:27You were straightforward and you made sure that you made you made
- 47:31your team the objective, not yourself.
- 47:36You didn't blame anybody with the Midget, the midgets,
- 47:38whatever the hell they were. You didn't.
- 47:40You don't blame anybody. You don't blame Joe Torry for
- 47:42not taking you off the mound, even though Joe Torry blamed
- 47:44himself not doing it. You stood for what I believe a
- 47:50Yankee should be. A guy that goes out there and
- 47:53thinks for a team, thinks not for himself, not thinks for,
- 47:58hey, you know what? I'm going to go out there and
- 48:00make myself look like a Jackass and I'm going to do things and
- 48:03say things that are just absolutely ridiculous.
- 48:05You know, that's the problem with Jazz Chism.
- 48:08That is not Yankee. Like everybody hated Jason
- 48:12Giambi because he was caught with steroids.
- 48:14But the Yankee fans that are die hard Yankee fans love Jason
- 48:17Giambi. And why did they love Jason
- 48:19Giambi? Because when Jason Giambi did
- 48:22steroids and that came out, Jason Giambi was ashamed of
- 48:26himself. He went out there, he explained
- 48:29himself, he didn't make any excuses and he felt like he hurt
- 48:32the he let the organization down.
- 48:35That is a Yankee. OK, now everybody wants to hate
- 48:39Alex Rodriguez. I hate Alex Rodriguez.
- 48:42This guy's a fool. He cheated.
- 48:44He's a cheater. And Alex Rodriguez was a a
- 48:48lowlife. He did a lot of bad things.
- 48:50I'm not saying that he's not. But when Alex put himself and
- 48:54his back was against the wall, he came out, he spoke up and he
- 49:01told everybody what he did. And he didn't beat around a
- 49:05Bush. And everybody's going to say,
- 49:06well, he did it again. He did it over and over and over
- 49:08again. He's a repeat offender.
- 49:09Yeah, well, sometimes when you do something too much and you
- 49:13think that you can, you have to lean towards that the whole your
- 49:18whole career that could affect you moving forward as a player.
- 49:22So you want to know what my my thought is being a Yankee,
- 49:25Jabba, It's just you being a team player, a person that's not
- 49:28going to think about myself and what my statistics are and what,
- 49:33hey, I'm going to go out there and throw my team under the bus
- 49:35and make my team look like a complete bunch of idiots.
- 49:38And that's why a lot of people didn't like the Yankees issue
- 49:40this year. And I've heard it from many,
- 49:42many people that are not Yankee fans on why the Yankees were
- 49:46even more hated than they ever have been.
- 49:48It's because of that idiot. And I don't want him on my team.
- 49:51I don't want him there. So you're asking me teamwork,
- 49:54team playing. And that is the Yankee way.
- 49:57And, and, and that that is not the Yankee way.
- 49:59So you want to know my opinion. That's my.
- 50:02Opinion. Yeah, no, I mean, because I I
- 50:04hear it all the time. So in in they're usually not the
- 50:08same. So and it's I think it's
- 50:10generational too, because you hear like from the older
- 50:14generation, a different explanation and then the new
- 50:18ones, I mean newer. I'm not going to, I'm not going
- 50:20to go ask a 22 year old just baseball fan, which it would be
- 50:25interesting to hear what they have to say just because they're
- 50:29upbringing and what the Yankees are completely different than,
- 50:32you know, ours and then even the generation beyond us.
- 50:35So I, I like to hear just because everybody has their
- 50:39perception of what that is as a fan or, you know, somebody
- 50:43that's followed them for years. So that, I mean, because it was
- 50:45always interesting to me, because for me, I, I didn't
- 50:48really understand it because as a kid from the Midwest, I only
- 50:52got to watch them when they were on national television, right?
- 50:54Like I was a Braves fan because I got to watch them everyday.
- 50:58And so I obviously knew the history from my dad teaching me
- 51:01the game of baseball and the legends that were the Yankees.
- 51:04I mean, there was tons of legends in the game, but like
- 51:06the Yankees just held a different type of lore.
- 51:09And so I had that, you know, obviously going into it.
- 51:12So like when it happened and you're like, OK, I don't really
- 51:16know what the Yankee way is, obviously clean shaven and stuff
- 51:20like that business like. And so it's always nice just to
- 51:23get people's perspective because it gives me a different feel of
- 51:25like, OK, this is kind of how I view it or this is what it is.
- 51:30But you know, some people are way on the other side of the
- 51:32fence. Some people are on the same, you
- 51:33know, So I, it's, it's very interesting to me how people
- 51:37view that. In the other LDS matchups, the
- 51:41Mariners and the Tigers are tied at two games a piece after the
- 51:46Tigers offense exploded after being down 3 to nothing in game
- 51:51#4 coming back to win nine to three likely American League Cy
- 51:56Young winner Tarek School Ball. We'll start game #5 for the
- 52:00Tigers tomorrow at 8:00 PM. The Mariners have not announced
- 52:04their starter yet. I wonder why, but veterans
- 52:08George Kirby or Luis Castilla are the most likely options.
- 52:13The in the NLDS, the Cubs kept their season alive with a tight
- 52:204 three win over the Brewers in game #3 but still trail 2 to one
- 52:26in their series. The Cubs got to Brewers starter
- 52:29Quinn Priester early, chasing him or after only 2/3 of an
- 52:36inning. Matthew Boyd, who struggled in
- 52:38game number one, will pitch for the Cubs tonight against the
- 52:42Brewers ace Freddie Peralta as the Brewers look to closeout the
- 52:47series at Wrigley Field. In the other NLDS series, the
- 52:51Phillies blew out the Dodgers in game #3 by a score of eight to
- 52:55two, keeping their season alive as they face a elimination after
- 53:00dropping the first two games of the series.
- 53:02Kyle Schwarber had two home runs and three RB is in the win.
- 53:07Game #4 is currently under way at Dodger Stadium featuring
- 53:11starters Tyler Glass Now for the Dodgers and Christopher Sanchez,
- 53:16who is likely to get a lot of Cy Young votes this season in the
- 53:21NL for the Phillies in his current.
- 53:26Now I, I will say I there's, there's a lot to get into and I
- 53:30don't want to go too deep into this because the series is not
- 53:33over. The Yankee series is over and
- 53:34where he based out here in New York.
- 53:37You do not want to be the Mariners in game #5 because you
- 53:42got to face off against this beast of a man.
- 53:46This man is scary. This man, every time he gets on
- 53:50the mound, you know he's going to pitch at least 2-7 or eight
- 53:54strikeouts. This guy is one of the most
- 53:56untouchable pitchers I have seen in baseball.
- 53:59And we just named one of them who plays for the Dodgers, who
- 54:02was retiring this coming year in, you know who I'm talking
- 54:06about, Speedy. Guy in Kershaw who chokes in the
- 54:08playoffs. That's right.
- 54:09But that's not that's not what I'm saying.
- 54:12I see domination and I look at guys like Tarek School and I, I,
- 54:17there's nobody I can compare him to.
- 54:19There's nobody that I have seen that I can compare his ability.
- 54:22He throws 4 different pitches, sometimes five.
- 54:25He throws a heavy fastball that goes 103 at some point.
- 54:28Sometimes I think he's hit 104 at one point this year.
- 54:31He's unbelievable. And I'm not saying that the
- 54:35Mariners don't have. George Kirby is a good pitcher.
- 54:37Luis Castillo, we know him. The Yankees wanted him.
- 54:39He's a good pitcher, but these guys are nowhere close to Tarek
- 54:43Scubal. And this game is going to be low
- 54:45scoring. There's no way they're getting
- 54:46more than three runs against Tarek Scubal.
- 54:49So I, I just think that this series is coming down to a game
- 54:53#5 and who's in the driver's seat here?
- 54:56It's the away team, it's the Detroit Tigers, and the Mariners
- 55:00did not want to see Tarek Scubal again.
- 55:03They did not. So I, I don't know how this
- 55:06series is going to end, but I do know it's going to end in one
- 55:10person's hand unless the Mariners find a way to hit
- 55:13against him. And that's Tarek school.
- 55:15As far as the NLDS and the Cubs series, I, I think the Cubs are
- 55:19done. I, I, I think the Brewers are
- 55:22the better team. They've been the better team all
- 55:23season long. I don't think they can choke in
- 55:25this series. I, I really don't Now I know
- 55:28everybody's going to look at the Cubs and say, well, you know,
- 55:31the Cubs still have a chance. They don't have a chance.
- 55:33I, I think the Brewers are the better team.
- 55:36I think the Brewers have been the best team in the National
- 55:39League all season long. I think they deserve to move on
- 55:43to the NLCS. So I I think, I think obviously
- 55:47the Cubs have had a sensational year.
- 55:49I think their manager is going to be up for manager of the
- 55:52year. We all know who he is.
- 55:53He got paid a lot of money leaving his former team who he's
- 55:56playing right now. And you can understand why the
- 56:02Cubs decided to go that route when they did because he is a
- 56:05good manager. I just don't think this year as
- 56:08good as the Cubs have been all season long.
- 56:11I don't know if they have enough depth in their bullpen to beat
- 56:14the Brewers. I know the Brewers do.
- 56:16I don't know if the Cubs do. As far as the the other series,
- 56:22I, I love Philadelphia. I think the Philadelphia
- 56:25Phillies were the best team going into the playoffs.
- 56:27I really did. But the Dodgers, they're so
- 56:31good. They have so much depth.
- 56:33And Jabba, we talked about this many, many times.
- 56:37If the Dodgers get healthy at the end of the season with this
- 56:41roster and this pitching staff, who's going to beat this team?
- 56:45Who's going to beat this team? The roster, the line up, the
- 56:48pitching staff, the bullpen? I mean, they have all these
- 56:51deferred guys they're making, they're making a ton of money 20
- 56:55years from now. But nonetheless, they have a
- 56:57chance to win back-to-back World Series.
- 56:59We haven't seen that done. When was the last time we seen
- 57:02that done? Oh, I remember that was the New
- 57:03York Yankees. It doesn't happen.
- 57:07It doesn't. It's not usual and it's not
- 57:09likely to happen. And I'm going to tell you right
- 57:12now if they beat the Philadelphia Phillies, who's
- 57:14beating this team? I, I, I don't think any of does
- 57:19the Mariners, does the Blue Jays scare me?
- 57:22Does Detroit scare me? Even if you have to see scuba 3
- 57:26times with this pitching staff, the Dodgers have, Blake Snell
- 57:29was bitching the way he's bitching.
- 57:31I mean, come on guys, let's be honest here.
- 57:35I, I don't think anybody's beating this team.
- 57:38That's why I, I, I, it makes me sick and I knew this was going
- 57:43to happen. So my, my thoughts here,
- 57:47Phillies, they're done. There is no way they're winning
- 57:51three games in this series in a row.
- 57:53There's no way now with this roster, I, you, you booked this,
- 57:57I, I'll say it, I'll say it again.
- 57:59This Dodger team is destined to win a World Series this year.
- 58:03And I'm, I'm going to tell you this right now.
- 58:04You asked me right now, today, October 9th, at what time?
- 58:098:35 PM Arrow Mark says the Dodgers are winning the World
- 58:14Series. It's not even close.
- 58:16Yeah, the Phillies I think are the only team that would have
- 58:18beaten them too. And again, they had bull time
- 58:20bunders in game one. They didn't hit enough.
- 58:22I was mentioning on the show on Monday, they're swinging first
- 58:24pitch for a team that's supposed to be a big walk in power team
- 58:27and getting on base and stuff like that and they're swinging
- 58:29first pitch all the time. They finally adjusted their
- 58:31approach in game three. We'll see if they come back in
- 58:32this game. Java's updating us on the
- 58:35private chat. It's one to one right now in the
- 58:367th inning. So the Phillies can win this
- 58:38game. Obviously Game 5, anything can
- 58:39happen. And the Dodgers in the
- 58:41second-half of the season, a lot like the Mets did lose in
- 58:43clusters that point. So they almost threw the way the
- 58:45division because of that. The Padres are very close for a
- 58:46while until the Dodgers beat them head to head.
- 58:48Now, the Dodgers bullpen still a question mark, but everything
- 58:51else is pretty much great. And I agree with you.
- 58:52There's nobody else in the American League or the Brewers
- 58:55if they do advance that I think would beat the Dodgers at this
- 58:57point. The Brewers and the Cubs, yeah.
- 58:58The Brewers just have too much depth.
- 58:59The Cubs are top heavy. I don't think they did enough of
- 59:02the deadline. And the Brewers are taking it
- 59:03personally with the Craig Counsel thing and they're
- 59:05getting all the fans riled up because.
- 59:06Even if they win this game, they're not beating them in in
- 59:10Dodgers game, they're not doing. The Brewers don't.
- 59:13They lack of too much offense to me.
- 59:15We need to go up against the pitching staff.
- 59:16That's good. Remember, Snell pitched great
- 59:18the last month of the season. Yamamoto has been their best
- 59:20pitcher all year. And then now Otani's pitching as
- 59:22well, combined with all the other stuff and Java, like
- 59:24you've been saying on on Monday's show, Sasaki out of the
- 59:26bullpen is an interesting weapon too that they've implemented.
- 59:29So they're very creative. With that, he just he just threw
- 59:32and got out of the inning. So it's it's it's tough.
- 59:37I mean, when when you're throwing those guys out.
- 59:39And then glass now came out of the pen, but started today.
- 59:43And so now you just have so many options and you know, we talked
- 59:48if they get healthy at this time, you're like, oh, let's
- 59:50throw Sasaki in here and he's throwing 101 now.
- 59:53It's it is really tough. And I think obviously the Phil's
- 59:59it's a three in a row. I it's just it's tough.
- 1:00:03It's one to one right now going to the bottom of the eighth.
- 1:00:05But in the other series, it's I, I love the the the NL series
- 1:00:11they're. They've been awesome.
- 1:00:13The Mariners are tougher at home.
- 1:00:15That is kind of their only. And they still have.
- 1:00:17Good. Only soul is going in.
- 1:00:19They have a good depth to play like if not to reveal their hand
- 1:00:22on which starter too. And I think the manager in the
- 1:00:24front office doing a good job and not doing that and it'll
- 1:00:27just be a manager of a matter of them weathering the storm even
- 1:00:29if they're down 1. Nothing to get to the Tigers
- 1:00:31bolt pen. They better get to Tarik School
- 1:00:34Bulls early if they have any chance.
- 1:00:36They got to get to him early. If they don't that, that game's
- 1:00:39going to be. Over playing, he's given it like
- 1:00:41he's given up solo homers, like he gave up two solo homers, but
- 1:00:44it's going to take more than that.
- 1:00:45They're going to have to continue to like add on, add on
- 1:00:50because don't don't give him if you're going to get a Homer,
- 1:00:53that's usually what he gives up a solo Homer and then he locks
- 1:00:56in and he's and he's going to give you 7 strong weather and
- 1:01:00he's one of those guys where he's going to you're going to
- 1:01:03literally physically have to take him out of the game.
- 1:01:05It's not like, Oh, I'm at, you know, 92 pitches in the stat,
- 1:01:09like AJ Hinch will be like 8. Nope, it's it's your game to go
- 1:01:13unless you literally they're like, I'm gassed.
- 1:01:16I got to come out. He's he's going to ride that
- 1:01:18horse and I don't. Think school would do that?
- 1:01:20No, no, I mean you literally he'd have to have a limb fall
- 1:01:24off for for him to come out of that game if he didn't have to.
- 1:01:27I think he did the same. I think he did the same thing
- 1:01:29last year too, like really laboring through the end of that
- 1:01:32when they were playing Cleveland in game five too.
- 1:01:34And I think he allowed one run late in that either the 5th or
- 1:01:376th inning, but he was even stayed in after that too and
- 1:01:39made it close. They just, I think, lost other
- 1:01:41one. Lane Thomas hit that Grand Slam
- 1:01:42off the bullpen. I I just don't think and I'm
- 1:01:45going back to the Phillies and even if the Phillies win game
- 1:01:47number was 4, if if they win game four and they take it back
- 1:01:51to Dodger Stadium, I just don't see it happening.
- 1:01:53I, I really don't the Dodgers are destined to win this series
- 1:01:57and whoever comes out of the series is winning the whole
- 1:01:59thing. So I just, I don't think anybody
- 1:02:03in the American League now that the Yankees are out are going to
- 1:02:05be able to compete. I thought the way Max Freed
- 1:02:09looked in the Red Sox series and you have Cam Schlittler playing
- 1:02:12like that, you have two pitchers.
- 1:02:14And even if Rodon's the number 3 in that and they can get, they
- 1:02:17can get the pitching and maybe they find a way out of that
- 1:02:21series against the Blue Jays. Maybe they make a run and and
- 1:02:24put some pressure on the Dodgers.
- 1:02:25If they meet again in the playoffs in the World Series.
- 1:02:28I I'm not surprised one bit that the Blue Jays are going to
- 1:02:32probably match up against, in my opinion, the Detroit Tigers.
- 1:02:36And, and, and to me, if that happens, the Tigers are going to
- 1:02:39the World Series because I cannot buy into the Blue Jays.
- 1:02:42I cannot buy into them. I'm sorry, Blue Jay fans, take
- 1:02:46it or leave it. You can sell it, bat it, hit it,
- 1:02:49smack it, toss it, if you know what I mean, Speedy.
- 1:02:53They're not. They're not.
- 1:02:55They're not. So that's it.
- 1:02:57All right, ladies and gentlemen, my deuce of the day.
- 1:03:02The deuce of the day. You log, not a log.
- 1:03:03I don't have a log but. No.
- 1:03:11So, you know, Fish wrote a couple of things that I could
- 1:03:14attack. There was a couple of them that
- 1:03:17I could have went after. And Lebron's decision was an
- 1:03:20interesting one. I I could speak about that a
- 1:03:22little bit later, but I know everybody couldn't wait to hear
- 1:03:25my opinion to what happened last Sunday.
- 1:03:29Well, actually Saturday night with the old butt fumbler
- 1:03:33himself, Mark friggin Sanchez. And yes, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:03:38Mark Sanchez was drinking. He was in Indianapolis hanging
- 1:03:43out doing whatever he was doing. I don't know what else he was
- 1:03:47doing on the, you know, the sides or the ends of the earth
- 1:03:50of Indiana because there's really nothing besides, besides
- 1:03:55the city part and, and maybe 20 miles.
- 1:03:58It's all cornfields. It's all fields.
- 1:04:00I've been to Indiana. There's nothing, there's nothing
- 1:04:03big about Indiana. I'm just telling you guys, if
- 1:04:05you ever been, I know job has been there.
- 1:04:07It's there's nothing fun about it.
- 1:04:08But the city end and it's like 20 miles long.
- 1:04:11That's it. I want to say something about
- 1:04:13this man. This man is one of the most
- 1:04:17despicable, disrespectful, but fumbling idiots I've ever seen
- 1:04:23or met. Because I did meet Mark Sanchez.
- 1:04:26The mistake that the New York Jets made when they traded up
- 1:04:29with the Browns to get this idiot from USC when Pete Carroll
- 1:04:33came out and said he's not ready for the NFL.
- 1:04:36He's a loser. He's always been a loser AFC
- 1:04:40title game. It wasn't because of him.
- 1:04:42It wasn't everybody wants to get well, more changes how to make
- 1:04:44the bows. How about the defense?
- 1:04:46How about Rex Ryan's defense? How about the running game the
- 1:04:50New York Jets had, which was top three every single year.
- 1:04:54What a respectful just I was about to say something else, but
- 1:04:57I'm going to hold my lip because I we have guests in the back
- 1:05:00end. This guy is a complete moron.
- 1:05:03How do you, how do, first of all, how do you get stabbed by
- 1:05:06somebody and not remember that? That's, that's a joke that you,
- 1:05:10you had to be really, really drunk not to know when you're
- 1:05:13getting stabbed. Then you go to the hospital and
- 1:05:16the the detectors are asking you questions on what happened and
- 1:05:19you come out and say, I don't remember anything and you're
- 1:05:23going to you're going to sell that.
- 1:05:24You forget he what? He walked to the store 1st and
- 1:05:27knocked on the. Window.
- 1:05:27I'm sorry that that was that was another stupid thing that he
- 1:05:30did. You know what, I I I don't
- 1:05:33really have to say any more than what I really believe.
- 1:05:35He should be fired from Fox. He should never be in the media
- 1:05:37again. This guy needs to disappear off
- 1:05:39the face of the earth. What a disrespectful thought
- 1:05:43that this guy was my quarterback for a significant amount of
- 1:05:47time. That I cheered for this idiot.
- 1:05:49So my deuce of the day goes to the one and only butt fumbling
- 1:05:53idiots of all time, Mark friggin Sanchez.
- 1:05:58Thank you to all the fans that follow us on social media.
- 1:06:01Thank you to Choppa Chamberlain for just being Jabba

- 1:06:21keep following us, keep liking us.
- 1:06:24We're working on building on the YouTube channel.
- 1:06:26It's been growing and Giant fans are probably, you know, doing
- 1:06:29something, hopefully nothing on camera when they're doing it
- 1:06:33after this game because they're finally going to be Eagles.
- 1:06:36I just couldn't stop smiling for the last 20 minutes because this
- 1:06:39was just an ass kicking and I couldn't believe what I was
- 1:06:42seeing from these two awesome rookies.
- 1:06:44I'm just going to let you know it's it's not a good sign for
- 1:06:47you Giant fans knowing that they're.
- 1:06:48It's a great sign they just beat the Eagles 3417, the year if
- 1:06:52they won the world the Super. Bowl, I might need a Wellness
- 1:06:54check on the city of Philadelphia.
- 1:06:55It's not going to, it's not going to make a difference and
- 1:06:57the Giants just put on another win makes a big.
- 1:06:59Difference Video. Philly.
- 1:07:00Philly Fan. That's awesome.
- 1:07:02How did they start rioting yet? The giants are missing so many
- 1:07:05pieces. Crazy.
- 1:07:06The giants are missing so many pieces.
- 1:07:07They need to lose and build. That's the way they need to go.
- 1:07:11And losers only continue to lose.
- 1:07:13You got to win. You got to get to the playoffs
- 1:07:15somehow, OK? You got to that's.
- 1:07:16Not going to happen if that's what you think, If that's what
- 1:07:19you, you just. Draft a bunch of rookies and get
- 1:07:22become great you just. Lost against the Saints, you
- 1:07:25just lost against the. Saints got to go from steps.
- 1:07:27That's how football is. Stop the only reason why you
- 1:07:29just lost that game. The only one you got to go from
- 1:07:32can I? Finish.
- 1:07:32What I have to say Who wins and becomes a champion?
- 1:07:34Could I finish what to say something?
- 1:07:36Too late to have popcorn when you guys are arguing.
- 1:07:39Here's the facts. Here's the facts.
- 1:07:41Eagles went into the game thinking they were going to run
- 1:07:42all over them and they they ran into a team that had nothing to
- 1:07:46lose. That's all I'm going to say
- 1:07:47about that. A buzzword, OK.
- 1:07:50Jared, what size is your melon? That hat is almost to the brim I
- 1:07:54got. A big.
- 1:07:56Pig. Yeah, Wow, I just noticed
- 1:07:59putting tricks in his house. Like damn, he's about to run out
- 1:08:02of real. He's going.
- 1:08:02To pop out, babe, He's going to pop out.
- 1:08:05All right, that's it. Good night, it's the Worldwide
- 1:08:10Sports Radio Network.
