- 0:08Speaker 1: Sure, it's hello. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice I'm
- 0:17Speaker 1: your host, Rob Shooter and it is Monday. Now normally
- 0:20Speaker 1: on Monday. Our dear friend Garrett Vogel from Z one
- 0:22Speaker 1: hundred that joins us. He's off today. He's off work
- 0:26Speaker 1: today for Martin Luther King Junior Day. I was asking
- 0:31Speaker 1: some friends about this. Should you say Happy Martin Luther
- 0:35Speaker 1: King Day? And the answer is yes. By acknowledging the
- 0:39Speaker 1: significance of the day and for expressing support of the
- 0:44Speaker 1: ideas of justice, equality and civil rights that doctor King
- 0:51Speaker 1: stood for. Wow. Remember in justice anywhere is a threat
- 0:58Speaker 1: to justice. Freeware Happy Martin Luther King Day. Now let's
- 1:05Speaker 1: jump into the gossip one time? Is it my friends?
- 1:09Speaker 1: It is tea time big story. At the top of
- 1:11Speaker 1: the show, Emily Blunt and Selena Gomez have teamed up
- 1:14Speaker 1: together to poke fun at the Golden Globe viral lip
- 1:20Speaker 1: reading gate. Remember that we talked about it on this show.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So after both being targeted by online lip readers during
- 1:30Speaker 1: last week's Golden Globes, the two actresses, both Emily and
- 1:34Speaker 1: Selena have now responded in the most adorable way. They
- 1:40Speaker 1: were at another award show and they got together and
- 1:42Speaker 1: they covered their mouths that's right, and took a picture
- 1:46Speaker 1: of the two of them. We couldn't see what they
- 1:48Speaker 1: were saying because they covered their mouths. Selena posted it
- 1:52Speaker 1: on Instagram with we shall not speak L O L. Funny, adorable,
- 1:59Speaker 1: maybe a little bit silly too, but in the best
- 2:02Speaker 1: possible way. But when somebody say something you don't like,
- 2:06Speaker 1: potentially something that's not true, what's the best way of response.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I used to pick up the sword. I used to
- 2:13Speaker 1: fight if you said something that I didn't like, or
- 2:15Speaker 1: something to a friend of mine, Oh my goodness, I
- 2:18Speaker 1: couldn't help myself. I jumped up and defended myself, defended
- 2:22Speaker 1: my friends sometimes. So that's not the best way, is it,
- 2:25Speaker 1: because all it does is get you into a fight.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Another way is just to ignore it. Often celebrities do
- 2:29Speaker 1: that when they see something they don't like, they just
- 2:33Speaker 1: ignore it another way. And I think potentially this is
- 2:37Speaker 1: the most successful way it has been, at least in
- 2:39Speaker 1: my life. Is to make a joke, is to have
- 2:42Speaker 1: some fun with it, to prove you're not hurt. But
- 2:45Speaker 1: at the same time, do prove that what is being
- 2:48Speaker 1: said is silly. Now, if you don't remember, let me
- 2:50Speaker 1: explain what was being said. So there was a video
- 2:53Speaker 1: that appeared on TikTok. It was watched hundreds of thousands
- 2:57Speaker 1: of times. And on the video, John Minski, who is
- 3:01Speaker 1: Emma Lee's husband, appears to be talking about divorce. Now,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I've watched this video for me. His lips are just moving,
- 3:08Speaker 1: but I'm not a lip reader. Now, that wasn't all
- 3:10Speaker 1: what happened at the Golden Globes. We also spotted Selena
- 3:13Speaker 1: Gomez and she was having a really fun time with
- 3:15Speaker 1: Taylor Swift. She went over to her table, was gossiping,
- 3:18Speaker 1: was laughing, and a lipreader. We can even name him.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He's on the record, Jeremy Freeman. He told Page six
- 3:25Speaker 1: that the actress that Selena said to Taylor that she
- 3:29Speaker 1: had been denied a picture with somebody. And what everybody speculating,
- 3:35Speaker 1: what fans believed, is that Selena was talking about Timothy Shallomeyer,
- 3:39Speaker 1: who is now seeing Kylie Jenna, who has beef with
- 3:43Speaker 1: Selena in the past. Now she clarified that what she
- 3:47Speaker 1: was talking to Taylor about it was actually two friends
- 3:49Speaker 1: who had hucked up and that was really nobody's business.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But then a few days later she bumped into Emily.
- 3:55Speaker 1: They posted this picture together. It's a funny picture. They
- 3:57Speaker 1: do look cute together. I think is such a good
- 4:00Speaker 1: way to get through life, not just problems, good good times,
- 4:03Speaker 1: bad times, everything in between. So I really love this picture.
- 4:08Speaker 1: But I want to know what you think about this,
- 4:11Speaker 1: which brings us to our whole question of the day.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Emily Blunt and Selena Gomez unite to pack fun at
- 4:17Speaker 1: the Golden Globes lip sinking moment, the lip sinking moment?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Is it funny or is it best just to ignore it?
- 4:24Speaker 1: What would you do? Would you have a little bit
- 4:26Speaker 1: of fun here? Would you mock? Or would you just
- 4:29Speaker 1: ignore it? Because we are talking about it again, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: we are talking about it now in a very different way,
- 4:35Speaker 1: aren't we. We're all having a little bit of a
- 4:37Speaker 1: giggle about this now, and it just all looks so ridiculous,
- 4:39Speaker 1: doesn't it. I mean, I'm a celebrity reporter, I'm an
- 4:42Speaker 1: entertainment reporter. Wouldn't you've got to start relying on lip
- 4:48Speaker 1: reading experts or body language experts. You know, you don't
- 4:52Speaker 1: really have a story. So if ever you read a
- 4:55Speaker 1: story on our website, at a blog, or even hear
- 4:57Speaker 1: it on a podcast, and the basis the foundation of
- 5:01Speaker 1: that story is a lip reading expert or a body
- 5:06Speaker 1: language expert. I can tell you from the industry point
- 5:10Speaker 1: of view, from the point of view of people that
- 5:12Speaker 1: work in the celebrity business, it's a pretty weak story.
- 5:16Speaker 1: We have sources, we have people telling us what's going on,
- 5:20Speaker 1: we have insiders. If I gotta hire somebody to read
- 5:23Speaker 1: your lips, I probably don't have the story. But what
- 5:27Speaker 1: do you think about this? Their response is what I
- 5:29Speaker 1: care about today. Are they being adorable? Are they being funny?
- 5:33Speaker 1: Or would this be better to just ignore? Go vote
- 5:36Speaker 1: on our Twitter page at a too Nice Rob or
- 5:38Speaker 1: go to our Facebook page Nordie gozip. I'm sure to
- 5:41Speaker 1: check back tomorrow to hear your results. Moving along, Taylor
- 5:47Speaker 1: Swift is going to be blamed for distracting Travis Kelson
- 5:51Speaker 1: if the Chiefs don't make it to the Super Bowl.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So famous quarterback controversial guy too Brett farm He thinks
- 5:58Speaker 1: that the Kansas City chief fans are going to turn
- 6:02Speaker 1: on Taylor if their beloved NFL team does not make
- 6:06Speaker 1: it to the Super Bowl this year. He said the
- 6:09Speaker 1: following quote, I think it's been a distraction. If they
- 6:12Speaker 1: don't make it to the super Bowl. If they don't win,
- 6:15Speaker 1: or they don't get to the super Bowl, someone's gonna say,
- 6:19Speaker 1: that's why blaming Taylor for this. Now, if you remember
- 6:23Speaker 1: a few years ago, jes Because Simpson, this happened to
- 6:25Speaker 1: her too. She was ridiculed when her then boyfriend Tony
- 6:28Speaker 1: Rumo lost a lot of games that she attended for
- 6:32Speaker 1: the Dallas Cowboys. Now at the moment, Taylor has turned
- 6:35Speaker 1: up to a lot of his games to Travis's games.
- 6:38Speaker 1: He's won some, he's lost them. But they are expected
- 6:42Speaker 1: to get to the super Bowl. Are a really strong team,
- 6:45Speaker 1: and if they don't. If they don't, they're gonna blame Taylor. Now,
- 6:49Speaker 1: because we're a fabulous sort of podcast and we have
- 6:51Speaker 1: access to this, I hit the phones and I spoke
- 6:54Speaker 1: to my Taylor sources. I said, what's going on here?
- 6:56Speaker 1: And they said, she's perfectly aware of this. She's one
- 6:58Speaker 1: of the most self aware celebrities in the world. She
- 7:02Speaker 1: knows this. But also too, they did remind me, if
- 7:05Speaker 1: they do get to the super Bowl, then Taylor can
- 7:07Speaker 1: take a victory lap. If you're gonna blame her for
- 7:10Speaker 1: them not winning, then you have to give her credit
- 7:13Speaker 1: when they do it, And the truth of the batter
- 7:15Speaker 1: is it has nothing to do with her. She isn't playing.
- 7:18Speaker 1: This is blaming somebody else. No, this is about him.
- 7:22Speaker 1: He's on the field. She's literally in the bleachers or
- 7:25Speaker 1: maybe in a private box. Very nice. I see a Taylor,
- 7:28Speaker 1: But she had nothing to do with this. But if
- 7:32Speaker 1: they win, Taylor will take a victory lap. And this
- 7:35Speaker 1: is where it gets delicious and awkward. Usher is performing
- 7:39Speaker 1: at the super Bowl. Now, a lot of people wanted
- 7:42Speaker 1: Taylor Swift to perform. They've been asking for her to
- 7:45Speaker 1: perform for years and years and years, and because of
- 7:47Speaker 1: a deal and endorsement deal with a different sponsor, she
- 7:50Speaker 1: couldn't do it. So if Taylor's there, if she's in
- 7:54Speaker 1: the audience but she's not performing, does she pull focus
- 7:58Speaker 1: from Usher? The person that's going to be the most
- 8:00Speaker 1: angry if Travis makes it to the super Bowl is Usher?
- 8:05Speaker 1: Because this is meant to be Usher's night, This is
- 8:07Speaker 1: Usher's performance. How's it gonna feel if the camera keeps
- 8:12Speaker 1: cutting to Taylor Swift? Oh? Delicious? Think about that? More
- 8:17Speaker 1: more news So, Priscilla Presley and Riley Kowa are both
- 8:21Speaker 1: remembering Lisa Marie Presley one year after her death. It's
- 8:24Speaker 1: been one year, they say, we miss you. So Lisa
- 8:27Speaker 1: Marie Presley is being remembered by her family just one year.
- 8:31Speaker 1: One year it's been after she died suddenly from cardiac arrest.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Her mommy, Priscilla. She went to Twitter now x to
- 8:42Speaker 1: say that she hoped her daughter was finding comfort reuniting
- 8:47Speaker 1: with her father, Elvis Presley. She wrote the following quote,
- 8:51Speaker 1: rest in peace, Lisa, You're in the arms of your
- 8:54Speaker 1: beloved father now. Only that gives me comfort now. Her
- 8:59Speaker 1: elder daughter Riley, took to social media too to mourn
- 9:03Speaker 1: her mommy by posting a picture of her and her
- 9:05Speaker 1: mamma throwback picture. She's a very young child in the
- 9:08Speaker 1: picture and she simply captioned it with the red heart emoji. Oh.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Lisa Marie was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla.
- 9:18Speaker 1: She died January twelfth, twenty twenty three, at the age
- 9:22Speaker 1: of just fifty four fifty four. It was later revealed
- 9:27Speaker 1: that she died from a small bowel obstruction that appeared
- 9:31Speaker 1: after she received weight loss surgery. It is all so heartbreaking,
- 9:38Speaker 1: just fifty four years old. People are asking why didn't
- 9:42Speaker 1: Priscilla and Riley issue a joint statement. I'm told that
- 9:47Speaker 1: there are still tensions. If you remember, after Lisia Marie passed,
- 9:51Speaker 1: there was a lot of fighting over her will, over
- 9:53Speaker 1: her estate. She owns the Elvis Presley estate. She owns Graceland,
- 9:58Speaker 1: and so there was a lot of Priscilla wanted to
- 10:01Speaker 1: take over that ownership, but she left it to her daughter.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Lots of back and forth, lots of ugliness. It gets nasty,
- 10:07Speaker 1: doesn't it when money is involved and death and families.
- 10:10Speaker 1: This is no difference. It got really, really ugly. I'm
- 10:13Speaker 1: told things are better, but they're not yet. They're not
- 10:17Speaker 1: yet solved. They probably never will be. Once these arguments
- 10:20Speaker 1: have been had, it takes a long time, if ever,
- 10:23Speaker 1: to heal. So fingers fingers crossed. Okay, this story is wild.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So Arianna Grande is getting slammed as a home wrecker
- 10:32Speaker 1: by fans after she addresses dating Ethan Slater in her
- 10:38Speaker 1: new song. So she put out a new single, I
- 10:40Speaker 1: Love It, and the song is getting a lot of backlash,
- 10:42Speaker 1: primarily because of the lyrics. And she's basically telling her
- 10:45Speaker 1: fans to mind their own business. But she's doing that
- 10:49Speaker 1: in a song. So is she using the relationship? Yes,
- 10:52Speaker 1: and then we're not allowed to talk about it. No.
- 10:55Speaker 1: So she says in one of her lyrics, why do
- 10:58Speaker 1: you care so much whose private parts? She uses a
- 11:02Speaker 1: different word, I write pretty explicit, Arianna. If you're gonna
- 11:07Speaker 1: go there and reduce this relationship to just that, then
- 11:11Speaker 1: I think you're gonna get a wild response. And that's
- 11:13Speaker 1: exactly what she got. Fans were not amused by this,
- 11:17Speaker 1: and they said, we don't care who you're having sex with,
- 11:21Speaker 1: but don't forget what you did. What they're referring to
- 11:23Speaker 1: here is that he was still married. He is still married,
- 11:27Speaker 1: he's getting a divorce now, and so was she. Another
- 11:30Speaker 1: person added quote, you ruined the life of the child
- 11:33Speaker 1: and the woman, Oh, I forgot to say that Ethan
- 11:36Speaker 1: has a very small child. They continued, you chose to
- 11:39Speaker 1: destroy a family. Truly a disgusting person. This is going
- 11:45Speaker 1: to be complicated for Arianna because if she wants to
- 11:48Speaker 1: sing about her new relationship, and she obviously does, then
- 11:52Speaker 1: she can't cherry pick parts of the relationship. You either
- 11:55Speaker 1: talk about it or you don't. And this relationship started
- 11:57Speaker 1: on a really shaky ground. Insiders insist friends that are
- 12:01Speaker 1: close to the couple that they didn't get together until
- 12:04Speaker 1: after both their relationships were over with their other partners.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Now the timeline is fuzzy here. It always is. Remember
- 12:11Speaker 1: when Brad and Angelina got together and he was still
- 12:13Speaker 1: with Jen, But then they put out, you know, hints.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I don't think they ever spoke about it, but sources
- 12:18Speaker 1: put out statements saying, oh no, no, he had already
- 12:20Speaker 1: broken up with Jen, and that timeline didn't quite add up.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Ethan and Arianna's timeline doesn't quite add up, and so
- 12:29Speaker 1: now she's sort of picked a scab off it. I'd
- 12:32Speaker 1: moved past this a little bit until this really aggressive,
- 12:35Speaker 1: aggressive new single came out, So I guess you only
- 12:39Speaker 1: have yourself to blame. Okay, Chloe Kardashian is doing something
- 12:44Speaker 1: so cool and I love it. She's talking about getting
- 12:46Speaker 1: along with her ex Tristan Thompson, but she says that
- 12:50Speaker 1: she still wants to be petty. I love how honest
- 12:55Speaker 1: she is. So she's known as a peace peacemaker, but
- 12:59Speaker 1: she admits that is not easy. She makes a point
- 13:03Speaker 1: to be an amicable co parent, even though there are
- 13:07Speaker 1: times when she has no patience about it at all.
- 13:11Speaker 1: She said in a new interview that she had to
- 13:14Speaker 1: learn to control her feelings. I've had to learn this too,
- 13:18Speaker 1: have you? She said? There are so many times when
- 13:20Speaker 1: my feelings got out of control and I was impulsive,
- 13:24Speaker 1: and I tweeted something or posted something and did something
- 13:27Speaker 1: that I went on to regret. She said. Do I
- 13:30Speaker 1: have days when I want to be a pettybitch? She added, yes,
- 13:35Speaker 1: of course I do, but I sort of do that privately.
- 13:39Speaker 1: That's a really good tip, isn't it, when you want
- 13:42Speaker 1: to lash out, when you want to fight back. We
- 13:45Speaker 1: were talking about this at the top of the show.
- 13:47Speaker 1: I don't do that on social media anymore. I do privately,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and by privately, I don't meaning DMS. I call a friend,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I text a friend, I talked to them. If you
- 13:57Speaker 1: fight back, if you get petty, that ever helps me.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I'm trying to think of an example of a time
- 14:04Speaker 1: when being petty made me feel better. Maybe for a
- 14:07Speaker 1: few minutes when I did it, Oh, I thought I've
- 14:10Speaker 1: got you, I told you, But no longer than that.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Within ten to fifteen minutes, I start to regret it,
- 14:16Speaker 1: and then an hour later I really regret it, and
- 14:18Speaker 1: then by by three or four hours later and maybe tomorrow,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm like, why did I do that? I made it worse.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Being petty feels good in the moment, in the instinct,
- 14:29Speaker 1: but it never actually works. So I advise you to
- 14:33Speaker 1: follow Cleary here and do it in private. If you
- 14:36Speaker 1: want to be petty, and we all do that, do
- 14:38Speaker 1: it with somebody that you can trust, and then move on. Okay,
- 14:42Speaker 1: We're going to move on and take a quick corection.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'll be right back. We knew that night. Shall I'm
- 14:49Speaker 1: your hostool and she said, hey, let's get it to
- 14:50Speaker 1: the polls. Thank you, Norty. Last year we talked about
- 14:55Speaker 1: Matthew Perry's final years were much darker and isolated than
- 14:58Speaker 1: we thought. We're getting new information out that he never
- 15:01Speaker 1: was sober, that his book where he claimed he had
- 15:04Speaker 1: recovered was just not true. He was violent, allegedly towards people.
- 15:08Speaker 1: He was abusive towards friends when he was high on drugs. Oh,
- 15:13Speaker 1: it's just heartbreaking. Details, really vivid, specific details are being revealed.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Our question was should all this be known? Should this
- 15:22Speaker 1: be revealed or not? Should we just let him? Let
- 15:26Speaker 1: rest in peace? That's the expression I'm hearing, rest in peace.
- 15:30Speaker 1: There's a complicated question, isn't it Because the truth is
- 15:32Speaker 1: the truth. And if you pretend that people just got better,
- 15:36Speaker 1: they recovered, and then they suddenly died, that story doesn't
- 15:40Speaker 1: make sense. So I don't know if it's really very helpful.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But at the same time, all these details, or all
- 15:47Speaker 1: these really dark details, is that something that's none of
- 15:51Speaker 1: our business. Let's have a look. Wow, this just goes
- 15:54Speaker 1: to show you how controversial this this is. It's fifty
- 15:58Speaker 1: to fifty. It's totally divided down the middle, and I
- 16:02Speaker 1: get it. I can see both sides of this argument.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Part of me is like, leave him alone. But then
- 16:06Speaker 1: part of me two is I think we do more
- 16:08Speaker 1: good if we tell the truth about people. When people pass,
- 16:11Speaker 1: we have the habit of turning them into saints. Nobody's
- 16:15Speaker 1: a saint. We're all mixed, we're all complicated, we're all
- 16:18Speaker 1: fifty shades of gray. There I say, no one's black
- 16:21Speaker 1: or white. And so I think a nuanced conversation about this,
- 16:25Speaker 1: a conversation without judging, pointing fingers, but acknowledging the reality,
- 16:29Speaker 1: is going to help other people. Okay, don't forget to
- 16:33Speaker 1: vote on today's poll. Go to our Twitter page. Act
- 16:35Speaker 1: Naughty Nice Rob or our Facebook page which is Naughty Gossip,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 16:43Speaker 1: And now it's time for our nicest of the Dame.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I love this part of the show. Brad Pitt and
- 16:50Speaker 1: his girlfriend were spotted on a rare date in Beverly Hills.
- 16:53Speaker 1: So Brad and Inz are still going strong. The notoriously
- 16:58Speaker 1: private couple who were first linked back late in twenty
- 17:02Speaker 1: twenty two, so they've been together a bit of a
- 17:04Speaker 1: while now. They were spotted at a date night at
- 17:06Speaker 1: a gallery in California. He was photographed leaving the gallery
- 17:11Speaker 1: with her. They made their wear through a parking garage.
- 17:15Speaker 1: She's a jewelry designer who was previously married to Vampire
- 17:19Speaker 1: Diaries Paul Wesley, so she knows what it's like to
- 17:22Speaker 1: be around famous people. But let's be clear, hit Paul
- 17:25Speaker 1: Vampire Diary is great, not a Brad Pitt star. He's
- 17:28Speaker 1: a super superstar. And so inside the exhibit, I like
- 17:32Speaker 1: this too. Britney Spears' ex husband sam as Gary was
- 17:35Speaker 1: there and he even snapped a picture with Brad Pitt.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Who doesn't want a picture with Brad Pitt, I'm told
- 17:41Speaker 1: too that John Voyd was there. Ooh, I haven't confirmed
- 17:44Speaker 1: it yet, but Angelina Jolie's father was apparently there too,
- 17:48Speaker 1: and I'm told that they had no interaction. Well that's interesting,
- 17:52Speaker 1: but this comes after the two of them have been
- 17:54Speaker 1: spotted out and about recently respotted them in Paris. They
- 17:58Speaker 1: were celebrating his sixty birthday. They are the real deal.
- 18:03Speaker 1: This is his first serious relationship since his divorced from
- 18:07Speaker 1: Angelina Jolie and nicest of the day now and naughty
- 18:11Speaker 1: is the day, Naughty, naughty, naughty, naughty norty. Chris Gramo
- 18:14Speaker 1: has been called out for humiliating Your CNN staffer. So,
- 18:17Speaker 1: a former CNN contributor says that Chris put her through
- 18:21Speaker 1: a quote embarrassing and humiliating experience that ultimately cost her job.
- 18:25Speaker 1: She claims she got a text from him saying Happy
- 18:28Speaker 1: New Year, timsel Crutch. She was shocked, she didn't reply,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and then after that they moved forward. Because she was
- 18:35Speaker 1: on a show a lot, this was a huge opportunity.
- 18:37Speaker 1: She was getting paid to do this, so she didn't
- 18:39Speaker 1: really know what to say. But when she did finally
- 18:42Speaker 1: confront Chris about the bikini comment, it was a picture
- 18:46Speaker 1: of her in a bikini that she posted, and that's
- 18:48Speaker 1: what he responded to her privately, her contract suddenly ended. Ooh, now,
