- M1: Welcome back to another episode of Sister Sisters. M2: Welcome back everyone. We have such a good episode planned. I could not be more excited. I'm just gonna it's about the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. It's gonna be so good. So M1: And if you don't know what that is, just hold your horses because we're gonna teach you what it is and you're going to love it. But first, for a little chit-chat up top, I have to say I'm kind of like twitching and itching because I don't really have a Disney trip that soon. You have something before me, which am I bitter about? Perhaps. M2: You're going to Portugal, FYI, so you have a big trip. M1: my God. I should have mentioned that. Yeah, guys, I am going to Portugal in like two weeks. M2: For Mouselette C's family trip. but yes, I am going to well, I'm going to Wolani, talked about that in the sitting on the ground segment. So if you want to learn a little bit more about that, you can check out that segment for our Patreon subscribers. But after that, I'm going to Disneyland for two and a half days. And we're going to Oogie Boogie Bash, me Mouselit A and Taryn. I asked them one, I said, Do want to be in the group message where we talk about costumes? She said, Absolutely. I said, M1: for sure guys, I have FOMO. I would never want to not be included. But a lot of ideas have been thrown around for the costumes. M2: So we've been I was about to say we've been throwing a lot of ideas around. we have a couple of front runners and we'll M1: I don't even know what the frontrunners were. I couldn't like follow. I assume this isn't a real frontrunner. when we were at NT23, we saw someone who was dressed up as one of the care one of the purple ants from Bug's Life. I don't know them well enough to know who it was. And their child was dressed up as another one. Princess Otta, Princess Dot, perhaps. I'm not sure. But it was M2: Okay. M1: like, it was like a very impressive outfit. M2: The grandma and dot, yes, I think. I would love Well, M1: And Mauslet too was inspired by that. M2: Darren is like, I'll be highlick and I said, I would yeah, me and Mal City being flick and auto, that would be iconic. M1: I mean you know what and I said M2: I just didn't know if I could sell it because I would want an ant, like a literal ant, like an ant booty, and I wouldn't be able to carry that in my suitcase. So I'd have to ship it to Tarran. M1: I said I would l I would love for you to do that outfit because that's not an outfit that I'm interested in ever doing. So you guys can take that one for now. M2: Well, we've been looking at fun outfits for groups of three. expect more coming on that soon. Nope. Don't. M1: One sec. One sec. M2: Unacceptable. Expect more about that coming soon, talking at the Disneyland trip, as well as Olani, but just there's a little teaser for you. We are gonna talk Halloween at the bottom of this episode, the end. M1: Yes. But to sort of talk about a little bit of news, but I I want to have a larger conversation about it, which is why we're talking about it now. Disney Cruise Line announced their fall 2027 and spring 2028 sailings. And leading up to this, they have been teasing that Disney Cruise Line is going to be once again sailing out of New York City, which like I guess I did know was a thing that happened many years ago, but we were not cruising at that time. So like M2: Yeah. M1: I didn't really understand that that was a thing and is now gone. Obviously when I heard about it, I said, that would be so cool. M2: We're a hundred she said, We are one hundred percent doing that. And so I'm like, All right. M1: I said 100%. Sailing out in New York would be so convenient. Like it'd be amazing. So I said, Malsa 2 and I don't ever book things in a timely manner. Which is sort of a fun fact about us that we've talked about many a time. If you have followed us, M2: Except my Olani trip, which I did. M1: yeah, but generally speaking, we don't. And so I said, I assume that this is going to be popular. So I reached out to David's Vacation Club Rentals because if you don't know, they also book cruises and we book our cruises through them. And They have a team that like handles everything for you. So I reached out and I said, we are interested in the New York cruises. I know they haven't been officially announced yet. but but do you guys know anything? Have your travel agents heard anything? And they said, the itineraries are going to be released tomorrow. They're not bookable yet, but we'll send them to you and let us know what itinerary you're interested in and we'll book it. Which I was like, okay, amazing, because then I don't have to book it. But yes. M2: A little bit of context about our cruising experience. We've been on The Wish twice, Disney Wish. We've been on the Disney Treasure once. Those are like the newest class of ships. The Wish was our first ship. We loved it. Then we went on the treasure and we said, we love it even more. It's even better. Then we went back on the wish and we said, fun. Then in October, we're going back. No, December. M1: In December. M2: We're going back on the wish. I love the wish. Okay. I love the wish. But we're like, okay, that'll be three trips on the wish. So, like, ready to do something different, you know. M1: And also, we definitely love like that class of ship because it's the only one we've ever been on. I think the we've talked about this in some episodes somewhere. The wish is great, but the treasure leveled up on the wish. It just did like with the lounges, at least for our personal interests, the treasure leveled up and like the Moana stage show that they have is amazing. Whatever. Don't need to get into it now, but we really do love the treasure. However, the treasure only does like eight night sailing. So we can't. go on the treasure right now. It's too long for us. And the Destiny is very Marvel focused. Noslit two is not a huge Marvel girl, so we're not sh M2: You're not even as into the destiny. M1: I wanna I would want to go on the Destiny, but like M2: I would go on it anyway. All this to say that from New York the only ship sailing is the Wish. And we were like, Ugh. But I was like, Well, Castaway Key Mouse one goes, No, it doesn't go to Castaway Key. It goes to Nova Scotia and like Bermuda. And I was like, M1: Yeah. So it they only have seven itineraries because the only reason they're going to New York basically is like as the wish like repositions itself, like in between being in Europe and stuff like that, it like pops into New York. There's literally one of the seven sailings is a one-way sailing. You end up in Puerto Rico and then you have to like get home from there or whatever. So it's super M2: Wait, why Puerto Rico? M1: I don't know. It goes to Puerto Rico. I'm not sure. But it's just like super, super limited sailings. So we're like, okay. Sailing out of New York, I think, would be really cool and really fun. But it's the Wish. Again, do we want to do a fourth of five cruises on the Wish? Like, I don't know. And the itinerary is like we wouldn't go to Castaway Key. So I think we're leaning, yeah. M2: For me, it's like if I wanted to take a cruise that was in colder weather, because it'd be October. So it's like, okay, October in Canada, I mean it's cold. I would do the Alaska cruise. And I've been to Bermuda before. Like, I'm not a huge Bermuda girl. It was okay. But like it wasn't my favorite place. And I love Castawa Key. I think that's the biggest thing is I love Castaway. So like, well, it would be a different experience. And if we cruised more often, but because we don't cruise that often, I just want like that quintessential cruise. So M1: So we're trying to decide what ship to do. Here's the next thing. Like I said, wish is out, guys. Okay. We cannot do the wish again. Would absolutely love to bring our family on the treasure. They would be obsessed, but it only does like minimum eight day cruises. And I think that's just too long for us. M2: Just yeah, not gonna happen. M1: And so we can't do mostly Malsa 2 doesn't want to do that. I would do an eight day cruise, but M2: I don't wanna spend my entire week on a cruise ship. That's just way, way, way too long. M1: So no treasure. Then again, the destiny, we could do the destiny, but I think whatever. So it's like, do we go back to the OGs, to the magic and the wonder? Do we do the dream and the fantasy? If you guys have thoughts, please let us know because we don't really know anything about the older ships, but we need to decide. M2: But now I was gonna say, we'll get into a little bit of news. Mark Res stuff coming soon, but not in this episode. There was a flood at the frontier trading post. Did you see it? M1: Yes, it was bad. If you don't know what store this is, it's the huge pin store. We love this store in Frontierland. M2: They like got all of the merch out of the way pretty quickly, although I'm sure that reorganizing that was a disaster. M1: Does that 'cause it's pins. Like that's like the worst possible thing, I feel like. M2: No, no, plushies. Stuffed animals are the worst thing. M1: No, I would way rather organise plushies. Pins are like M2: I thought you meant to get wet. M1: no no to reorganized. M2: Yeah, reorganized that would be and also like how much spoiled merchandise. Crazy. Yeah, there was like some videos. I don't know how someone possibly got a video of that. Maybe the store was just open and they were dealing with it. But M1: Me neither. Yeah. M2: that was insane. So there's your kind of random piece of news. M1: It it has re it has reopened, so like it was obviously fine, but it was crazy. Then M2: That's crazy. M1: the next thing is in Animation Courtyard in Hollywood Studios, the Magic of Animation, Magic of Disney Animation building has not officially opened yet, but they revealed the entrance sign. And it's very cute. I didn't like fully understand the way that they were theming this. So the building is made to look like the actual animation building in LA. And then it's a bunch of Disney characters holding a big banner that says open house. M2: I think that's cute. I really like that. M1: I love it. M2: I I think it makes sense. There's kind of a storyline. Again, I'm l I'm sad that we might be losing the characters from the outside of the animation area for like meet M1: Me too. M2: and greets inside. But overall, I'd like adding a playground. I think this is exactly what Hollywood Studios needs. It feels like an Epcot pavilion almost. And like that is what they need. M1: Yeah, and I love that it's like it looks like the real building, but all the characters have like come to life and take are inviting you in for an open house. Like I think that it's so I think that it was it's a a great theme. M2: Yeah, agreed. M1: Next up, Disneyland has shown their Halloween, their character costumes for Halloween. If you don't know, Disneyland character costumes change out like 1000 times more frequently than Walt Disney World. Walt Disney World, like Mickey and Minnie meet in a Halloween costume. during the Halloween party that has been the same for as many years as I can remember. Every year all eight of the main characters get new Halloween costumes at Disneyland. Same with Christmas. They're always so cute. Once again, they're so cute. I love them. M2: not in on that lore. I like that's not something that I would ever really think about. M1: they're really cute, I have to say. Much better than the costumes that we saw the other day for the seventieth, which if you know you know. M2: okay, Food and Wine Festival. Food and wine festival menus finally came out. I believe Food and Wine has officially kicked off. Now, yeah, when you're listening to this. Yeah. M1: did I? When does it kick off? M2: To tomorrow, does it not? M1: I've no idea to be honest. Sort of was off my radar. M2: Well, we're not there. So that's what Epcot Food and One Kicks Yeah kicks off on the 27th. I knew it. Twenty-seventh to November 21st. It's the 30th anniversary. Disney has said that they have over 30 festival exclusive food kiosks and a hundred new menu items. That being said, I was M1: That's crazy to me. M2: about to say that being said, a lot of like foodie influencers have said that there are 44 or like under 50 new items in some are returns. Either way, that's a lot, that's a lot of options. I Okay, other things going on. Eat to the beat. They have the eat to the beat concert, which is which is really fun. They have a bunch of different bands that come in. They also do this, I actually at this point they do it for most of the festivals. but I'm excited about that. August is Motown Enhanced Evolution Motown Enhancement. September, I'm just gonna read a couple that I know. Fits in the Tantrums. Looks like that's the only Smashmouth. That's exciting. M1: that's fun. M2: Smashmouth is also at the beginning of October. The fray is in October. Ben Rector, wow, is in October. Bowling for Soup is in October. And November, Boys to Men, Grace Potter, Beach Boys, the Hooligans. When are we there? M1: I guess no one good when we're there. Early November. M2: Boys to Men. M1: I've heard of them. Don't know if I can name a song. Okay, well it's kicked off. M2: Anyway, there's a lot of good food, exciting. We'll be there at the very end of it, but still fun. M1: Next up, two small pieces of news. They're redoing the little or like revamping, refreshing the little train area near Germany, which I did not know, but I guess has presumably been going on for a bit. and they just announced that there's a little like Dream Finder figurine that they put in there. There's like a little dream finder area, which I thought was really cute. Yeah. M2: That's cute. I like that. Yeah, that's cute. M1: And then just as a note, they're starting to announce things for the holidays. They already obviously had already announced like the dates for Jollywood and Very Merry Christmas Party. But they're announcing other experiences. So far, there's nothing new nor noteworthy, just like things that have happened in the past are returning. So we'll talk more about it, but just FYI if you're keeping an eye. But M2: All right, that is your news for the week. And last thing, a very exciting piece of news, the pop century bellhop costumes changed out like six months ago. Okay. M1: Okay. You know what? We're hang on one second one second. M2: I will get us into the main segment if I can find it. Today we are talking about the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Easily the biggest, most interesting sort of niche piece of lore that Disney Imagineering has ever come up with because it has such a widespread reach. And we got a lot of questions on our last trip about what the heck it was. M1: So the reason this even came up is when we were at D23, Disney dropped exclusive pins each day. And we saw before we went that one day they were dropping a mystery set of Society and Explorers of Explorers and Adventurers pins. This is like insane. If you're a Society of Explorers and Adventurers fan, like there is no merch for this. Like they don't really ever talk about it, but they I have them all out. They dropped this pin set. Mouse lit two and I was the only thing we wanted from D23. We did manage to get it, but there also was something teased on the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram that they would be doing like an uncreating of some new C artifact. Anyways, we were able to go to it. We're gonna talk about that more as we get there. But to start, everyone was asking, why did you guys want this pin set so much? Why do you care about this? M2: The the coolest thing about C is that it is so it's a fictional backstory, right? That Disney created. It interconnects all of these different attractions across the world at Disney Parks cruise line as well. And it literally runs so deep. Like it runs so deep. We're gonna we're gonna go deep. And we're gonna talk about the park specific things for sure, because I know that's what a lot of people want to hear, but we're gonna dive into like the lore of this. It's crazy. It's like reading M1: No, like M2: a mystery book. M1: you, you know, if you're a Disney like secrets or details lover, I'm sure that you can think of like cool backstories. For example, Dinoland had a really cool backstory. That was one of Disney's most intricate backstories. It doesn't even pale in comparison to what we're about to talk about. So we're basically what we're gonna do is run you through kind of like the timeline of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Again, as a reminder, this is a fictional backstory that Disney Created. I just feel like that might get like slightly confusing. we're gonna run you through the timeline and then tell you different places that you can go see things that nod to this. Because all of this information, yeah, but in C, it's called M2: But ch M1: S, it's called C, Society of Explorers and Adventures, S E A, C. M2: Hereby from this point in the podcast we will be calling it C. M1: C. But all of this information, like Disney has never written a book or published stuff about this really. All this information is gathered through clues that are left around the parks. And you'll kind of see how that comes to be. But I guess should we dive in? M2: kicking off. C is a sacrative organization that was established on August 12th, 1538, at Porto Paradiso, Italy. To be clear, not actually in the real Italy, right? This is a fictional backstory. I just, again, I am worried that's gonna get lost. We won't say it again. We might, but M1: Ha ha ha. M2: and the club's headquarters is the Fortress Explorations. This is an attraction in Tokyo Disneyland that I'll talk about more in a second. But from the 1500s to the 1900s, the Secret Society. C grew and added new members, scientists, explorers, researchers, artists, travelers, and adventurers from all around the world. And in general, C is dedicated to the continued exploration of the world. Their original mission was we, the Society of Explorers and Adventures, shall acquire knowledge through exploration. Anyway, so this all started at Tokyo Disney, which is leveled up. Like Tokyo Disney is just even bigger and better than anything else. This is actually in Disney C. not to make it confusing with C, but they created an attraction called the Fortress Explorations. It was an opening day attraction in the Mediterranean harbor area. And the goal of the attraction was to promote the sharing of nautical and scientific knowledge for world exploration. It's I guess you could equate it most to like what we have as like the Swiss family tree house in terms of like the style of it. It's like the the Nautilus at Disneyland Paris. It's a walkthrough experience. And it's very interactive. It's almost like the Kim Possible game. Guests solve a series of challenges, then they get to join the Society of Explorers and Adventures, in quotes. And the backstory is all spelled out on these like different maps. M1: So, yeah, that's why like it was actually created in the first place. And so it has then since spread to other parks. So to continue sort of walking through the timeline again, that was in the 1500s in this backstory. So the society's influence can also be seen on the Magellan restaurant. That's another place in Tokyo Disney Sea. And in the backstory, that is what served as the society's meeting place. It has a secret wine cellar hidden behind a bookcase. But then for like 350 years, there's not really anything. that C is doing. Okay. It was founded in 1500, then it kind of went dark until someone named Camellia Falco comes up. And I actually have all the pins in front of me. Here's Camellia. Camellia Falco comes up. And she was the daughter of the founders of the Museum of Fantastic Flight. So that is the Museum of the Fantastic Flight, is the fictional backstory setting and like cue building for the Soarin that's in Tokyo Disney, which is called Soaring Fantastic Flight. So, anyways, Camellia Falco was the daughter of the founders of that area. And she inherited that museum in 1850. In 1851, she became the first woman inducted into sea yes, we love to see it. We love to see a woman, really the first woman character that we know anything about. And so now we're gonna start talking to you about like, okay, if you want to get into it, where can you see these things, right? So at the Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland. Camellia Falco's expedition paddles are on display in there. These will come up a few times because there's actually a bunch of characters referenced. But basically, according to the backstory, she took an 1831 trip down a river, the Zambezi River. I hope I'm saying that right. And some of her paddles are on display there, talking about that expedition, talking about her. We also know that she developed a strong interest in hot air balloon flight travel. She developed something called the Dream Flyer Glider. And then in eighteen seventy five it's said that she passed away, but her spirits kind of lingered on in the Museum of Fantastic Flight, and she still sort of exists to invite visitors to come aboard her dream flyers, which are part of the attraction. M2: Just to like jump in, even with this little bit of lore, right? It's created these, these, this attraction at Tokyo Disney C fun, super unique. I mean, the amount of time they did as people who made our own escape rooms, most of it's lore, like M1: I mean seriously. M2: then the level of that, and then Magellans, but then having Camellio Falco, who they didn't have to create a different backstory of Soarin, but they did, again, it just shows how layered it is. The next two characters are, I believe, are my favorite characters from C because you can see them both at Walt Disney World. as well as one of them at Disneyland. So in 1870, Barnabas T. Bullion went on a river expedition with C and met someone named Jason Chandler, who will come up later. Several years later, Barnabas became the owner and president of the Big Thunder Mining Company, which dug up gold from Big Thunder Mountain. He moved the company's headquarters from Rainbow Ridge to the newer town of Tumbleweed, which is at Walt Disney World and our Big Thunder Mountain. And it says that the spirit of Big Thunder was hostile to miners exploiting its land, leading to cause many accidents and disasters. The reason that I love Barnabas T. Bullion is because he was the first that I we, me and Mouse One really ever were like, what is this? Because a lot of the C characters are are like inspired, I guess, by different imagineers or different people. And we looked up and we saw a portrait of Mouse One. Do you know who it is? M1: Tony Baxter. M2: Yes, Tony Baxter. We looked up and we said James, Tony. And yeah. M1: Tony Baxter is an imagineer, and there's a portrait of him in Big Thunder Mountain. And we were like, what is that? It was added in like 2013. And we were like, wait. M2: Because Tony Baxter was instrumental to the creation of Big Thunder Mountain, as well as many, many, many other things in Disney Parks. So we're like, what is that? And it's it's very, very cool. There's not that many references to this entire story. There's that portrait. There's some like flyers and things put on the wall, Rainbow Ridge, Disneyland, moved to Tumbleweed, R Disney World, the little village on Thunder Mountain. But there aren't that many obvious things until you kind of dig into it and know that. M1: But so when you're walking down, you know, like the two ramps that go down to the actual loading area, look up and you'll see a portrait of someone. That is Barnabas T. Bullion. However, he visually looks like the imaginary Tony Baxter. It was based on him. It's very cool. And that's like, yeah, one of the places to like really see a picture of one of the characters. M2: So that's Barnabas' story. Again, remember, he met Jason Chandler. He went on a river expedition. That was 1870. So next up, we have my other basically favorite character, because you can see her at Disney World as well as other places, the cruise line. Captain Mary Oceaneer. She was a sailor and a treasure hunter with an interest in piracy. In July of 1898, she launched the Oceaneer Lab, which we'll talk about in a minute, equipped with diving equipment for nautical studies and treasure hunting. So Oceaneer Lab. Well, not the original one she created, right? In the story, but that it can be seen on the Disney cruise line. That's like the kids' club area, which is, yes, they're using the name Oceaneer Lab, but when we were on the cruise, we you can go into the kids' club in an open house at the beginning of the cruise. We specifically went into there to see the tributes to the Society of Explorers and Adventures, which you can see. It's very, very cool. M1: It's it's so cool. M2: Mary is also documented to have visited Castaway Key in the Bahamas. And recovered a sunken golden sword and buried treasure. So again, we're sticking with the timeline specifically here. So this is what you need to know about Mary right now. We'll get into her a little bit more soon. But in 1899, she attended a meeting for the Society of Explorers and Adventures at the Hotel Hightower, which is a hotel fictional, of course, in New York. And it was hosted by Harrison Hightower the Third. M1: Here's Harrison Hightower the Third, if you're watching on video. And I just want to once again say, already you're probably like, this is insane. Because it is. Like so far, we have connected to two attractions in a restaurant in Tokyo, Disney Sea, Big Thunder Mountain in both Disneyland and Disney World. the Disney cruise line ships that have Oceaner Labs, which I believe is the Wish class only, and Castaway Key are all connected by this group of people who knew each other and explored and worked together. And we're like at the very beginning. M2: It's insane. M1: so, anyways, Harrison Hightower the Third, this is him. He is someone who inherited a huge fortune, and he was using it to collect exotic artifacts that he was displaying in his New York waterfront mansion. But he also was the owner of something called the High Tower Hotel, and this is Tokyo Disney's Tower of Terror. So, this was the first time that Imagineers ditched the Twilight Zone theme. That were in all other incarnations of the attraction at the time. Obviously, mission breakout wasn't a thing yet. And instead, they created a brand new storyline built around the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. So the storyline goes that on December 31st, 1899, Harrison Hightower threw a New Year's Eve party to show off his latest acquisition, which was an cursed statue called Shriki Atundo. Okay, here he is if you're watching on video. And this proved to be a bad idea because when the clock struck midnight, the idol came to life. Harrison disappeared. He has not been seen since. So that's kind of the backstory of that ride. And then in 1911, the New York Preservation Society opened up the High Tower Hotel for tours. And that is how you get to go on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror out there. Then around the same time, there is a man named Lord Henry Mystique. And he Opened a museum that showcased his treasures and antiques from his years of explorations. And just like Hightower, he wanted to show off his latest acquisition, which was a music box. And this is Mystic Manor in Hong Kong Disneyland. some of the Society of Explorer Adventures people have like little sidekicks. Mario Shaneer actually has one that we'll get into a little bit later, but this guy has one. It is a monkey called Albert, and he is like the star of Mystic Manor in Hong Kong Disneyland. It's confusing because there is another character named Albert that we're going M2: Yeah. M1: to get into. So I just want you to know right now, this is the monkey Albert that is associated with Mystic Manor. There's a different Albert who's completely unrelated later. then, anyways, nearby in Mystic Point, so again, another area of Hong Kong Disneyland, Lord Mystic built the Explorers Club restaurant. And this continues Lord Mystic's story with decor drawn from his collection of antiques. Including some animated masks and other artifacts that originally adorned the walls of Walt Disney World's Adventurers Club. So should we take a moment to do a quick aside on the adventurers club, perhaps? M2: well, I'm literally about to get into it. So I feel like I'll just keep rolling with the timeline if that works. M1: Perfect. M2: okay, getting very briefly into the other Albert first. In nineteen eleven, so that same year again that they opened up the the Hightower Hotel for tours, Dr. Albert Falls, who an ex who was an explorer who created something called the Jungle Navigation Company, which you should all know if you've been on the jungle cruise. he created that on April 8th. And after many years of exploring, he wanted to improve shipping in remote areas for other explorers and adventurers. We're gonna get into him in a minute, but this is in the timeline, right? That he just created this jungle navigation company. but we're gonna flash forward about 25 years to someone named Meriwether Pleasure. He was a member of C who opened up a clubhouse containing an extensive collection of artifacts he collected around the world. This is an area that. kind of crosses two sort of paths because this is a real place on Pleasure Island. You might have been to it. It was called the Adventurers Club. And so the Adventurers Club has this insane sea tie-in that also just was like there was other lore associated with it as well. But then it also was just a place people could visit. so the date was unknown of this. This is some sea lore. We don't know when, but a member of the Adventurers Club, Pamelia Perkins, sent a letter to Drami Kaimi at Olani. Boom, we've connected to Olani, which is insane. And this is like the most subtle little thing. In the letter, she talks about some of the less honorable ancestors of the club, the Pillagers Brigade. And the leader of the organization of that was Harrison Hightower, who stole Shriki Udundu, the idol. So this is like, this is very, very crazy lore. Just to talk a little bit about Pleasure Island, if you don't know about it, it was located at downtown Disney. It was the The brainchild of Michael Eisner, favorite CEO, that he wanted to have more adult type activities. And so they did this huge sort of transformation of what was the name, you know, prior to downtown Disney was a much smaller sort of area. And they built Pleasure Island. Pleasure Island's big shtick was the fact that it was New Year's Eve every single night there. That was like the that's mom and dad went there. And I'm kind of confused when. Do you know? I'm like, when, where were M1: Me to I have no idea. Like where were we where were we? M2: Where were we? Did they go to Disney without us once? But anyway, Adventurers Club was a themed nightclub in the Pleasure Island district. It was themed after a private club from the 1937s. The walls of the club were covered with artifacts and photographs from various expl explorations. It featured animatronics, puppets, and a cast of adventurers, basically like Street Mosphere characters, who performed in shows and did improv comedy while mingling with basically the visitors and the guests. it was a little bit like PG 13. that's how a lot of people kind of talk about it and remember it fondly. And then people who would go frequently sort of became a part of the lore as well, which is which is very cool. The Adventures Club opened on May 1st of 1989. Again, it had this huge backstory about Merriweather pleasure. And unfortunately, it closed in 2014. No, was it 2014? No, it was 2008. Okay. M1: Past was it that late? Okay. So as I mentioned earlier, when this closed, a lot of the things that had been on the walls there, because they tied into C and stuff, were moved to the Explorers Club restaurant at Hong Kong Disneyland. They kind of reused a lot of things. People really people who love C and love this level of detail and lore really mourn the loss of the Adventures Club because it was kind of like a huge Base, I guess, for immersing yourself in this storyline. As you can tell from everything we've described so far, the stuff that exists is super little random details, right? So this was kind of like a more immersive place. Anyways, back to our timeline. So in 1939, we talked about Dr. Albert Falls, right? He was the guy who founded the skipper navigation company. He disappeared, and his granddaughter, Alberta Falls, Succeeded him. And so she took over the jungle navigation company and she opened it up to tourists to guide them around the jungle rivers. That is, of course, what we now know as jungle cruise. So then the old skipper canteen, which was, you know, a hangout area for the skippers, was opened up to guests as well. And that included a secret room that her grandfather used to use to entertain other members of C, which can be accessed through a secret hallway in the library. Now, important for you to know. Skipper Canteen is a place with a lot of sea references. So if you are interested in sea after this, that's kind of one of the places in Walt Disney World in Magic Kingdom that you can go to see a lot of things. So inside you'll see fezes like hats belonging to Albert Falls, Henry Mystic, Albert the Monkey, I guess, Mary Ocean, yep, M2: Yep, miniature one. M1: Mery Oceanier, and Merryweather Pleasure. Those are all found in a display case. Then there are maps that feature like legendary creatures that some of these explorers encountered during their travels. So Mario Shaneer drew some of those maps, and then a couple other people that aren't as main characters are hanging on the walls. So, anyways, I have her pin somewhere, but I can't find it. Anyways, very cool like details within that restaurant, if you want to go. I found her pin, guys. I'm sure you are all as perturbed as me. Here's Alberta Falls. Anyways, back to our timeline. So in 1940, a man named Jock Lindsay, you may recognize that name, a freelance pilot who regularly transported Indiana Jones and is featured in Raiders of the Lost Ark, made a home at a waterfront property after flying over the area in search for the elusive fountain fountain of youth. He was a member of C, who frequently welcomed his globe-trotting friends. Tis hangar for drinks and fun times. And so inside of his bar, you can find a passport belonging to an adventurers club member, Samantha Sterling, and then an opening night photo with other adventurers club members. And so Jock Lindsay's hangar bar in Disney Springs is a place where you can find C artifacts because he was a C member. This is one of the most random ones to me, I have to be completely honest. M2: It it's interesting. So this opened in twenty fifteen when they redid they did a huge sort of renovation of Disney Springs again. This one is is like kind of Society of Explosion Adventures, but also like not really. And so it's very interesting, the subtle details. It confuses me. I l but I like it, but I like it, but it confuses me. Do you agree? M1: Same. Yes. And again, as a reminder, like it's not like Disney's ever published an official guide about all this. This is like fans looking at the artifacts on the walls of places and kind of piecing things together. And like, you know, occasionally there will be like a Disney Parks blog post about like little bits of it or something. But so it's not if it sounds a little, you know, fuzzy, it's because some pieces of it are kind of fuzzy. M2: So back to Mary O'Cheneer, who we talked about earlier, who was the you know, O'Cheneer Labs from Disney Cruise Lime in n M1: She lived a long life, I have to say. When I was reading this timeline, I was like, dang, she's an old lady by this point. M2: When when did she start exploring? M1: I mean, in 1898 she launched the Oceanear Lab, so she had to have been at least, what, twenty? M2: She was in her 70s or 80s in 1955. She got caught in a hurricane in her old days. This is tragic. Her and her ship were launched to the seaside port of Placid Palms at Misadventure Falls. More on this in a moment. The storm split her ship in half and sent her large artifacts from her recent voyage into the trees. There's a little kind of like side character. She also has Albert the Monkey. There's also Duncan, who is a turquoise macaw parrot and the trusted diving partner of Captain Mary O'Chineer. The rest of Mary's treasure was scattered all throughout the bay. And Mary, in her old age, this makes a lot of sense, said, It's time to officially retire. She said, I'm done. I'm retiring. Her grandson, Oliver Ocean, haven't seen much of him, to be honest, continued the family legacy with C into the 21st century. So if you go to Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, which I know not everyone does, but if you do, they have a little tiny sucker family raft ride. That's not the one that we're talking about. M1: Terrible compared to Blizzard Beach. M2: Where you have to roll your own raft up. It's outrageous. They added a new one. It's called Misadventure Falls, and it is where you can find Cap Captain Mary Oceanier. So M1: And you'll Duncan on it too. It's like entirely themed around her. Like if you actually pay attention to the storyline, it's one of the more overt themings that we have in the United States. M2: I would say, and and I also think it's cool that they connected it to the water parks. this opened up in 2017. So that was like 2015, 2017. Like that was like a big C era. So in general, these are the main characters and the primary storyline of C, but crazily enough, this is not this is not it. There's hundreds of other references in the parks. We'll talk about a couple of other like kind of cool ones as well as things they're working on now. So in Disneyland Paris. Disneyland Paris is actually the only place that does not really have like true sea references. Even we attended at D23 that sea talk, like a panel. And the only place on a map that wasn't like flagged with a dot was Disneyland Paris. That being said, there are some connections. There's an explorer's restaurant there. Captain Something feels sea energy. I bet they'll add that soon. And then at Discovery Land, which is their Tomorrowland version, Captain Brew. Docked his airship, the Hyperion. The Hyperion was used to create a map of the Mekong River for Jason Chandler. Remember, Jason, we mentioned him earlier, and he'll pop up in a second as well. Jason Chandler, who is associated with Barnabas B. Bullion. And then again, I mentioned the Explorers Club restaurant. It has a C patch, but it's it's more vague. So Jason Chandler, who again was the buddy of Barnabas B. Bullion, he is pro. M1: Barnabas tea bullying. M2: He originates from this is some mouse at two lore, Discovery Bay. What's Discovery Bay? Something in Tokyo, perhaps? No. Discovery Bay was a planned expansion of Disneyland that Tony Baxter was working on. That was that is the reason that Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland looks different as a different mountain range that looks a little bit more like bubbly. Because it was this huge concept that's supposed to be this big golden kind of steampunk. Anyway, Jason Chandler was going to be there. They were also going to produce a mini series on television about Jason Chandler and Discover Bay in general. They didn't ever end up building Discovery Bay. And so Jason Chandler is like the most niche thing. I also find it crazy that the the only Disneyland Paris lore really about C is that this random captain docked his airship there, and that same thing was used by Jason Sandler, who actually ended up being the president of C for a bit. So I guess he is important, but very, very interesting. A couple of other things at Walt Disney World, the Abercadab Bar, which is a bar on the boardwalk, contains a C fez, which indicates that one of the magicians, unnamed though, was a member of C. At the UK Kid Cot Station is themed after the Royal Adventure Society. And there's a C Handbook. And then do you want to talk about the Jungle Cruise ones? M1: Yeah, so at Disneyland, there's a character named Dr. Ken. I'm gonna do my best to pronounce this, Chonsuke. Here he is. He appears in Jungle Cruise with C paraphernalia. There are also crates in the queue of the Disneyland one that reference Lord Mystic and Harrison Hightower. And then one of my favorite tie-ins of C is Trader Sam's. So Trader Sam's at Disneyland, but Trader Sam's in general. contains a lot of references to see. It's kind of similar to Adventures Club vibes, where like if you read stuff that's on the walls, you'll you'll be able to see little C references. So there's references to Harrison Hightower, Albert Falls, Merriweather Pleasure. And again, like I just love that in particular, Trader Sam himself M2: Yeah, me too. M1: is kind of like a side member to see. I wouldn't say he's a member, a side character, I guess, to see, because he was involved a jungle cruise, which obviously was run by Albert and Alberta Falls. So like that's one of my favorite places to look for to look for sea. yeah, anyways. One new thing is the Adventureland Treehouse. So when they redid the tree house in Disneyland from Switch Family Robinson, bye bye, needed to go, to this new M2: No, no. M1: theme. It's themed after just like a generic family, a generic unnamed family. But up in one of the rooms, there is clearly a girl who's trying to be an astronomer and is very interested in C. And there are a ton of C references in there. There's like a C flag, a bunch of C books about. Being in a fan club and becoming a member and stuff like that. And so Disney, I would say, right now, seems to really be leaning into C in a way that they haven't for a while. Like Mouselit 2 said, in 2015, kind of 2017, they sort of went through a boom where they focused on it a bit, but it really is rarely mentioned and it seems to be coming back. So that was one thing Adventureland Treehouse. But they also introduced a new character named Luna. She is a character in Tokyo Disney Sea. I'm gonna get into her whole lore, but she's like more a more modern addition to the roster or whatever. And this is Luna. But then also, as I mentioned earlier, right before D23, they announced that in the Imagineering Pavilion, they would be doing an unc an uncreating of some sea artifact. So obviously, Me Mouse Latoo and Taryn like ran over there because we had to see it. Me too. No. M2: I was about to say, I was worried we wouldn't even build a step foot. I said, everyone's gonna want this. No, this is such a niche thing. I like literally thought it'd be like we would be in the very, very back. Yeah. Yep. M1: Yeah, like packed. We were panicking. We were like the front row. and so they uncrated, they uncreated this crate, and there was nothing in it. And so there's this new storyline that is actively unfolding. There was like a piece of paper in the crate, actually, that said, you know, I I don't even remember exactly what it said. Basically, it implied that there's a new C member emerging who has stolen some artifact. M2: After the C's artifact went missing in D twenty three, they need our help to figure out the name. So the C woman basically s left a series of riddles or person, left a series M1: Yes. M2: of riddles that tie back to this. M1: And so on the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram, they've released two riddles. One of them I think I know the clue to, the answer to. M2: I'm gonna read the riddle out loud. And if you wrote what you think in the spreadsheet, you are incorrect. I'm sure you're wondering who M1: Perfect. M2: am I? The answer is a C reject with loose ends to tie. Still curious about my game? To win, you need to discover my name. One letter at a time is key. Here's your first puzzle beneath the marquee. I've grown fond of this street. I'm rather keen of its people, its shops, and its screens. I like to collect tickets everywhere I go, and who doesn't love to see a good show? She takes your ticket from a strip. Her lips won't spill, but what does she sip? So this is Disneyland on Main Street USA. Underneath the theater, there's a statue, I guess, of this woman. She doesn't M1: Anim animatronic, but she doesn't move, so M2: move. She's just a yeah, a figurine named Tilly. Tea for Tilly. No, actually it's tea for the tea that she sips. but both teas. So I feel like they probably did that on purpose, maybe. But M1: Yeah, these riddles are each going to give us one letter of the new C member's name, but then it's going to be scrambled. The second one, I don't know. Maybe we'll figure it out together. Go ahead. I don't. M2: No, you do. I know it and you know it too. No, you do. I've always loved a good trick or clever prank, hence why I left my name blank. I'm trying to prove that C's judgment wasn't fair. So find another letter, another letter where steam fills the air. A grand circle tour. It's quintessential. Wow my god. The view from this car is quite presidential. A perennial bloom, a beauty tray rare. It's In red and gold as you climb the stair. You'll see five as you hop aboard, but you need only one to get your reward. Let's break it down. M1: The fire truck? M2: Steam. Where is steam? What's steam? M1: I thought it was the unsinkable Molly Brown ship, but then M2: It's M1: they said car. M2: okay. What's steam? M1: Train. M2: Grand Circle Tour Train M1: Lily Bell. M2: Yep Lily. Flower. A perennial bloom. A beauty tray rare. El M1: What's the letter? It's one letter. Why would it be L? M2: for Lily. M1: What's the last clue? M2: You only need one to get your reward. M1: Hm. It's a letter. Are you sure it's L? M2: yeah, I am. M1: Okay, guys, anyway, so this is very exciting. They are building up to a new C character. The C character is clearly going to have a big Disneyland tie-in because all the clues are Disneyland specific. And as Society of Explorer and Adventurer fans, it is very cool to get to kind of see this unfolding in real time because again, it's really not something Disney explicitly talks about that much. M2: It's so niche in the best way. It's actually funny. Like we talk about this. The Disney parks have all of these different layers. The first layer is the person who goes for like a day and they just, these rides are fun. They don't think anything about it. The second layer is where you start to be like, like a hidden Mickey or something like that. The third layer is some of the like facts that we like, like the engineering behind it or remnants of old rides. Society of Explorers Adventures is like fourth or maybe even fifth tier. It is like for the die hard Disney fans who know every detail. M1: Yes. And I would say now that you guys listening know more about the Society of Explorers and Adventures, there's like too much to explore, like in totality to start. But if any of these things piqued your interest, like whatever park you go to, look up where you can see details, look up what the C logo looks like, and you can start to find it. And it is like a scavenger hunt almost for the truest Disney fan. M2: Yeah, the logo that that is iconic, honestly. Go to Skipper Canteen. I think my biggest recommendation if you want to get into C is dine at Skipper Canteen. Maybe you need a reason to dine at Skipper Canteen. Honestly, the food is good. It's very interesting. My also one has the logo up right now. You'll see a lot of really cool C details. And if you ask any of the cast members, the skippers there, they will be happy to show you where those fezzes are and where the secret C room is. You can also order those Brazilian rolls off of the hidden secret menu, which is nothing to do with C, M1: And you should get those 'cause they're amazing. M2: but they're so good. So I would say that's where I would probably start. Also find the Barnabas T Bullion picture. M1: Portrait of Big Thunder Mountain. Yeah, he's easy to see. But yeah, a lot of the cast members in Skipper Canteen know more about C than any other cast member. Other cast members, like honestly, might not know anything about it, but many of them do. And some of them like can even tell you sort of more and more. So that's a very good place to start. I hope that you feel like you are now an unofficial C member, as me and Mouselit too do. We are, of course, some of the newest members of C. And tell us if you find things in the parks because it is a really cool thing to explore. But now let's get into our special segment. M2: It's Halloween. I already said I'm not celebrating M1: Crazy enough, yeah. Halloween season. M2: Halloween until after my honeymoon. M1: Halloween season has begun at Disney. And when I personally go to Disney for Halloween, I'm like, okay, okay, I can get in the Halloween mood. But like in real life, like I think it's way too early to be celebrating Halloween. However, if you are taking a Disney trip around now, it is Halloween time. And so we're gonna do a little segment on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. I wanted to start off with some of our top tips. If you happen to be going, we're gonna kind of do like rapid style tips. So the first one is Your party ticket gets you in at 4 p.m., even though the party starts at 7 p.m. And we highly, highly, highly recommend not spending money on a park ticket for that day. Relax, take a rest day, and then go in at 4 p.m. You are still going to get eight hours off of that party ticket, which is insane. And if you don't take a rest day, unless your stamina is like amazing, you're gonna be sitting on the ground watching Mike Wozowski dance on a stage, falling asleep, as me and Maslatoo have done many times. M2: Yeah, do not get a ticket for that day. It is just, it is not worth it. You will have such a better time if you rest. another tip we say people get very eager to do like the the trick or treat trails right away. Wait till later. Like you're gonna be queuing in a line, but you'll actually have a better experience with some of these trails and things after. in the diamond horseshoe, there is hitchhiking ghosts this year, which is very, very exciting. They're really using the diamond horseshoe to its full potential. You M1: No, they are. M2: can also see some of the villains in Princess Fairy Tale Hall. So Those things, they're only gonna get shorter as the night goes on. And honestly, I'll say that is a common theme of this party. The later it gets, M1: Yes. M2: the the shorter the lines get. M1: I also do just want to remind you that you paid hundreds of dollars for that ticket. And you can go buy a big bag of candy at CVS if you need to. So, like, yeah, we're not candy people. No, M2: We're not like out a candy people. Some people are though. Some people are. M1: some people are, but like, don't spend a really long time waiting in candy lines. It's just not worth it. This is a random tip that Mouse 2 and I have learned the hard way multiple times in a row. It's really weird. During the parties, they have specialty foods available. Those specialty foods are not available for the full length of the party. Typically, they stop being served around approximately 10 p.m. It's different times for different foods. It's not advertised anywhere. But like if you're thinking later in the night you're gonna go get a specialty, Mouse 2 really wanted these like pumpkin tortellini things, I remember last year. and they had stopped being sold like 30 minutes before. Many times. M2: We've been burned by this FYI, not to make this a Jollywood podcast, but this is the same situation as Jollywood. a couple a couple of other tips. The second parade is less crowded. Now, if you have young kids, I would say watch the parade from Frontierland. You can get a really good view there and it's way less busy. But if you can stay up later, go to the second parade. It's so much emptier and it's just better. I'm a first parade kind of girl. I'll say I'm a Frontierland first parade girl. Sure, is the castle cool? Yeah, but Something about seeing the headless horseman in Frontierland really works for me. Yeah. M1: We did really like that last year, yes. Then the big stage show with the villains gets less crowded as the night goes on. So a the real hack is that the very last show of the night starts at midnight. So it and then doesn't finish until like 1220. The party ends at midnight. So you can't do anything else in the park at that point. So that's a good way to like literally get your full eight hours, then watch the final show of the night. You don't have to leave the park until like 12 30. You're getting extra time. I understand not everybody can stay up that late, but just know. The first show of the night's gonna be the most crowded and they will get progressively less crowded. So wait as long as you can to watch that if you want like a really good see. By the end of the night, you can literally sit on the ground up front. We have done that many times. M2: Yep. The last tip that I would say is that dress in costume. People say it's hot. Yes, it is hot. And I understand there's costumes you can wear that like help you be stay cooler, right? Like there's you can do different levels. And we're gonna do a quick costume rundown and how hot we've been in each, because some of these we roasted and died, but it is so fun to do a costume. It adds so, so, so, so, so much to the experience. Get a locker, wear your costume from four PM to like eight PM, and then change into a M1: Into comfy clothes. M2: Big Halloween shirt and biker shorts. And it is I think a costume is M1: It's the best. M2: so worth it. M1: Yes. And depending on the time of year you go, especially, it is not light for that long. So once it starts to get really dark, no need to wear the costume anymore. Everyone's complimented you on your costume already. You got your pictures. Go put on something comfy. But like having a costume at the beginning is so fun. The energy is amazing. So we figured we'd run through some of our costumes. The very first year we went, we went with our mom and our godmother M2: September of twenty eighteen. M1: Yeah, we went with our mom and our godmother because we won a free trip to Disney. That's some Really random. Yeah, that's what we've we've talked about before. M2: Like we've like mentioned it before. So insane. So insane. M1: and we were villains. So I was Cruella, our mom was the Queen of Hearts, our godmother was Ursula, and Mouse 2 was Yesma. And iconically, by the end of the night, Mouse 2's heavy easma makeup was literally melting off her face because it was August and it was so hot. M2: I looked talk about crusty. I looked so crusty. Also, this is the most insane lore. This is actually crazy. When I was building my Yesma costume, Yesma has a big purple sort of headdress type thing, okay? And I was trying to figure out how to build it. Mouselit one found in our dress up in our basement a police officer hat and attached this like purple stick to it and said, and was dead serious and said, wear this hat with that attached. M1: No, I stand by that one hundred percent. I thought it would have been perfect. M2: That I that would have looked so stupid and bad. M1: You were gonna cover it with purple. You wouldn't be able to see the hat. It was just to have a base. M2: No, no, no. Anyway, the next costume we did the year after we went in 2019. this is iconic from us. I was Merlin and Mouselit one was Madam Mim. This is a Madam Mim podcast. Okay. The third host of this podcast is Madam Mim. I wore my a high school graduation gown and a beard and glasses and a mustache. The mustache kept falling off. The beard, most of the pictures of the night are like the beard around my like neck. So I M1: Yes. M2: I was. Dying of heat. That was my hottest by far. I had a wizard hat also. Yeah. M1: Really? Wow. No, that was a very cool outfit for me. The next year, or the next time we went, we went with Mouslit C and Mouselit A, and we did the sweet life of Zach. I know she was obsessed with this trip. M2: This was Mousla A's favorite trip ever. Still, she still says that. M1: We did the sweet life of Zach and Cody. So Mouslit 2 and Mouselit A were the twins. I was Maddie M2: Maddie. M1: and then Mouselit C was Esteban and also some random He was dressed as Esteban, like the the employee of the Tipton, he had a little Esteban name tag. M2: Bell hot. M1: Yeah, it was like a gold name tag. It didn't look anything like the Disney name tags. But someone came up to him and tried to speak to him as though he was a cast member. M2: That was iconic. okay, then after that, that was 2022. We went the next trip we went was Oogie Boogie Bash, actually, at California Adventure. And we dressed up as princess witches. We had a big group of friends, our friends mom meets moms meet magic, and then Taryn. And we all chose a different princess. So I was Anna, Mouse at one was Elsa, and that was we wanted to like do something sister. Taryn was Merida when she had Orange Terry, and then our friends were various princesses as well. This was fun, it was really creative. And I really enjoyed doing that. Also, honorable mention goes to the fact that we wore like kind of quasi bound costume type things. that entire trip. We did our elemental characters, which was really fun. Although those dresses were cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap. M1: Cheap, awful. Yeah. M2: We did Hitchhiking Ghosts. we did Baymax and Hero and then which I love my hero outfit and I love those pants. M1: I loved my Baymax outfit, yeah. M2: And then except you met your you wore that outfit in Ventures Campus and took a bunch of pictures of the characters in a white beret and it's still look. And then we also M1: Ha ha. M2: did like an Adams family outfit. M1: Then we went to not so scary with Mouslit C and Mouselit A. This is so many names if you don't know us, but my husband, yeah. M2: Mouse Lid A sister, Mouse Lid L and then Mouse Let her hubs. M1: Her husband. So it was a group of six. And so we did the parent trap where we had the twins, we had Meredith, we had Chessie. Who else? What were Mouslit C Martin? M2: We had Martin and Dad. M1: right, and the dad. Yeah. So we did the parent trap. That was another really fun one. M2: We didn't have Chessie. We had Chessy on a stick. M1: right. We had Chessy on a stick. We also were staying at the Wilderness Lodge cabin. So it was just like a very parent trap like camping vibe. It was very fun. And then our most M2: That was fun. M1: recent one. M2: It was August of 2025 where we did the Evil Stepsisters. It was me, Mouse One, and our friend Michael from Michael Does Diz who dressed up as Lady Tremaine in like full drag, you could say. And we were the evil stepsisters. This was really fun because we got to meet the evil stepsisters in the outfit, which was just like a blast. We'll post some of this content again, probably. dressing in costume. It's so worth it. I'm going to Oogie Boogie in about a month or five weeks, I guess, and I will be dressed in a costume there. It is. So fun. It makes the experience so much better. So I will leave you with that. Everyone wear a costume. And if you need something quick, buy like Monsters Inc. shirts. Just buy like a big Mike Krozowski shirt and a Sally shirt and your family can wear them and you can someone can be boo. It's so easy. So there's your easy costume, courtesy of the mouselets. All right, let's wrap up with a pit M1: Yeah. Let's get into our M2: and peach. I have a deferred peach, which is that we hit 300,000 followers on Instagram. M1: Okay. We did. M2: that was a couple of it was right around D23. And while The follower count doesn't necessarily matter. Our goal of the mouses has always been to share like facts and tips with people and like all of the information that we love. And so hitting that number is just like, yes, we're continuing to grow and share that and like grow the podcast, share the podcast with your friends, everybody. so I'm very excited about that. That's my deferred peach. M1: My peach is that this weekend Mouse Lit C and I had a little pool party. And by pool party, I mean it was Mama Mouselet, Papa Mouse Lit, Mouse Latoon and Mouse Day, because Mouselith was on vacation and couldn't come. We had a little pool party and it was so nice. We were able to use the pool. We were able to use this volleyball net that Mouse Let Too and Mouse Day had gotten us to go in the pool and like play volleyball. We had a barbecue and it was just like such a nice summer, summer day, summer barbecue vibes. M2: That was good. And I'll I'll give an honorable mention, Peach. I was in Delaware Monday, Tuesday because Mouse Let I had something for work. So we're staying with Mama and Papa Mouse Let at their house and I went paddleboarding and it was really fun. my pit. So I for a while was banned from saying my pit was being stressed at work, but because n wait, because but I was gonna say M1: You're still banned. You're still banned. You're still banned. M2: because it's been so long, I think that the ban has been sort of like paused. Hmm. M1: No. So think of a different pit. M2: Okay, I'll I'll say my pit is that my work computer is not working at all. And I have had to restart my computer at least four times while recording this podcast. M1: Yeah, so if you notice any like choppy moments, also guys, it is 9 39 p.m. on Wednesday night. This podcast comes out at 5 a.m. Thursday. M2: We had a busy week. We had a busy week, so less than ideal, but that's okay. M1: My pit is that Mama Mama Mouselit is here and we went to M2: Mum mum sled. M1: Mama Mouselit's here and we went to Target and I felt very ill in Target and then for the rest of the night I continued to feel very ill knowing that I had to come on to record this podcast and I was just feeling very unwell. M2: but talking to me made you feel better? M1: No, I think all my altoids, if you haven't noticed, I'm sort of on an altoid binge. I think those maybe helps a little bit. M2: I haven't noticed genuinely I haven't. It would have made me really mad if I had seen you sneak in those all episodes. So I'm glad about that. We M1: I've been eating them all episode. M2: ate like I think each like a hundred alt toids when we were in Disneyland at D twenty three. It's like sick. We're a M1: I guys, I had to buy like three packs of alt toids in advance because I knew that we would just be like feasting on altitoids and we were. And we had like M2: Yep. We were also like hungry. We had no food, so that like our only option. M1: and water, like they help you if you're thirsty. I don't know. M2: My fact of the day. well, I just did a fun fact about I'll do a fact about Echo Lake. so Echo Lake at MGM Studios, Hollywood Studios, whatever, is shaped in a very specific shape. It is like a a circle with like kind of a a little bit of a flat part because Echo Lake forms the ear or formed the ear of a giant hidden Mickey located in the middle of Hollywood Studios that they've sort of faded away. And I found an old document from opening day of MGM where they referred to the stage as the Mickey Nose stage, which I like loved. I thought that was so funny. M1: That's funny. Did you see mom also sent us the echo? Lake was like completely drained. M2: Yeah. Yeah, included in my video. Did you not watch my video? Wait. What's your fact? Stop stop stalling. M1: I guess I didn't. I'm trying to think of a fact. I'm trying to think of a fact. This is like a random fact, but I was in the Trader Sam's Trader Sam's mindset. So if you've never been to Trader Sam's, when you order different drinks, like different things happen, which is very fun and is like kind of a fact in and of itself. Like you should not say that you should order those drinks just because of that, but like it is really cool. M2: No, you should. I order a drink that I don't even like that much because of that. So you should. M1: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like you honestly should. But one of the ones that's like very fun is there's this drink that comes in a pearl. I think you have the pearl glass somewhere, but it comes in like this pearl. M2: I do it in my pol in my Polynesian themed room. M1: Yeah, it comes in this like this pearl glass. And it's M2: It's actually plastic. M1: yeah, right. It is plastic. But it comes in a pearl. And so it comes out of this giant clam and they'll pull it out and it's like the pearl. but occasionally Someone will get a black pearl. And it's like this special thing when a black pearl comes out. I think we've been in there one time when someone pulled a black pearl. M2: I like can vaguely remember. I unfortunately most of the time when we're in Trader Sam's, I'm like crushing. I'm so tired. M1: Yeah, I was gonna say every time we're in Trader Sams, me and Mel Cela are like ready to go and you're like basically about to fall asleep. Yeah. M2: I'm like, yep. Well, I can't stay up late. So, all right, guys, that was our episode today. That was your deep dive into the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Coming up from the Mouse Let's We have a lot planned.
