- Lucas: Hej och välkommen tillbaka till Learn Swedish with Fexingo! Today we're going shopping for a sweater. Luna: Ohh, I love that. It's getting chilly, so a nice tröja would be perfect. Lucas: Exactly. And tröja means sweater. Let's start with the basics: 'Jag skulle vilja ha en tröja.' That's 'I would like a sweater.' Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en tröja. Jag skulle vilja ha en tröja. Lucas: Perfect. Now imagine you're in the store and you see a sweater you like. The salesperson might ask: 'Vilken storlek har du?' Which means 'What size do you have?' Luna: Vilken storlek har du? That sounds like 'which size have you?' literally. Lucas: Right. So you'd answer: 'Jag har storlek M.' Or whatever your size is. Storlek is size, and M is medium. You can say small, medium, large — små, medium, stor. Luna: Jag har storlek M. So I say that. Then I'd want to try it on, right? Lucas: Exactly. 'Får jag prova den?' means 'May I try it on?' Prova means try, den means it. Luna: Får jag prova den? Får jag prova den? That's polite. Lucas: Great. Let's put it together. Listen and repeat after me: Jag skulle vilja ha en tröja. Lucas: Great. Now let's imagine a scene. You're at the store and you see a nice blue sweater. What do you say? Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en tröja. En blå tröja. Lucas: Perfect. And the salesperson asks your size. Luna: Vilken storlek har du? Lucas: Right. You say: Jag har storlek M. Luna: Jag har storlek M. Lucas: Then you want to try it. Får jag prova den? Luna: Får jag prova den? Lucas: Yes. And if it fits, you can say: Den passar. It fits. Or Den är perfekt. It's perfect. Luna: Den passar. Den är perfekt. I love that. Lucas: Now, before we practice more, I want to mention something quickly. Now, after you say 'Får jag prova den?' the salesperson takes you to the fitting room. Prova rummet. Luna: Prova rummet. Fitting room. So I can say: Var är provrummet? Where is the fitting room? Lucas: Exactly. 'Var är provrummet?' That's useful. So let's practice the whole conversation together. I'll be the salesperson, you be the customer. Ready? Luna: Ready. Lucas: Hej! Kan jag hjälpa dig? Luna: Hej! Luna: Ooh, I got it! And I understood självklart — of course. Lucas: You did great. Let's repeat those key phrases one more time. Lucas: Perfect. Now you're ready to buy a sweater in Swedish. Practice these with a friend, or say them to yourself. Repetition is key. Luna: Tack för idag, Lucas! I feel more confident already. Lucas: Det var så lite. See you next time on Learn Swedish with Fexingo. Hej då! Luna: Hej då!
