- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein chronicles.
- 0:05Jeffrey Epstein had plenty of powerful friends, and not all
- 0:08of them resided in the United States of America. He
- 0:12also had very powerful friends in the UK, and one
- 0:15of those powerful friends was Peter Mandelssohn. Peter Mandelssohn was
- 0:21an ex politician in the UK. He was the Labor
- 0:25Cabinet Minister, and according to Epstein's schedule, Mandelsshn was penned
- 0:31in at least four times. And not only that, he
- 0:34also allegedly had a sleepover at Epstein's townhouse after Ebstein
- 0:40was already convicted as a sex offender. So just another
- 0:44shining example of another elected official who thinks it's a
- 0:48good idea to hang out with a pedophile. Today's article
- 0:52is from the Daily Mail headline Peter Mandelssh had four
- 0:56dates scheduled in the diary to see Jeffrey epstein're the
- 1:00tycoons jail term. This article was authored by Daniel Bates.
- 1:06Peter Mandelsson was scheduled to have four meetings with Jeffrey
- 1:09Epstein after the tycoon you mean pedophile served time in
- 1:13prison for having sex with underage girls. The Pedophile's private
- 1:18calendars reveal that the ex Labor Cabinet minister was due
- 1:22to meet the financier Pedophile between twenty ten and twenty
- 1:26and thirteen, even though he was a registered sex offender.
- 1:31The diaries even suggest Lord Mandelsson stayed at his sixty
- 1:35three million pound New York mansion in twenty twelve. All
- 1:39of these grown ass men having sleepovers? Is that not
- 1:43weird to you? Fellas? How many of you out there
- 1:46are having sleepovers at the Homies house now that you're
- 1:49in your thirties and your forties whatever. I'm sure not
- 1:52many of you, unless, of course you're out, you're drunk
- 1:55something like that. Okay, I get it. Nobody wants to
- 1:57drive drunk, nobody who has a brain in their head.
- 2:00But besides that, why is a grown man staying the
- 2:03night at another grown man's house? Can somebody please explain
- 2:07that behavior to me? The Mail on Sunday can also
- 2:10reveal that Prince Andrew was so comfortable in Epstein's home
- 2:14he invited a close friend over for tea. The calendars
- 2:18were revealed as part of hundreds of documents handed over
- 2:22by the Epstein estate during an investigation by the government
- 2:26of the US Virgin Islands where he had a private island.
- 2:29Well private for the rest of the world, maybe not
- 2:33private for these disgusting assholes who were hanging out with them.
- 2:36That island was legitimately Disney World for pedophiles. They shed
- 2:41light on the network of associates cultivated by Epstein, who
- 2:45hanged himself in twenty nineteen while awaiting trial for sex trafficking.
- 2:51The disgraced billionaire pedophile was jailed for thirteen months in
- 2:54June of two thousand and eight for soliciting a minor
- 2:58for prostitution as part of a sweetheart plea deal. After
- 3:02leaving jail, Epstein had to register as a sex offender
- 3:05and was subject to a twelve month house arrest, which
- 3:09expired in July of twenty ten. We all know that
- 3:13that wasn't a real house arrest. He was out working allegedly. Really,
- 3:17what he was doing was committing more crimes, and the
- 3:20record shows it. While he was out on house arrest
- 3:24and under the management of Palm Beach, this dude was
- 3:27still bringing girls to his office. There were still girls
- 3:30coming to the house, and he was under the management
- 3:34at the time of the Palm Beach County Probation office,
- 3:37and then to find out that they lost all that
- 3:40paperwork documenting Epstein's time on probation is almost too much
- 3:45to stomach. But it fits right in with all the
- 3:48other stuff that we have seen throughout this entire case,
- 3:52missing videos, chain of custody being ignored, stash of videotapes gone.
- 3:58So where did all of this evidence go, Who's in
- 4:01possession of it and why has it not been acted on?
- 4:05Despite this, Lord Mandelsson, a former EU Commissioner for Trade,
- 4:09appears to have met Epstein several times. Lord Mandelsson declined
- 4:12to confirm if the meetings had taken place, but other
- 4:16figures who appear on the documents have said their get
- 4:19togethers did go ahead. At the time, the Peer was
- 4:23out of public office but being tipped to lead the
- 4:26IMF or the World Trade Organization. All of these groups,
- 4:31these bodies that people point to all the time, like
- 4:34the World Trade Organization, the IMF, the UN, all of
- 4:38these organizations are suffering from a severe amount of corruption.
- 4:43Every time you turn around, there's a new scandal with
- 4:45the UN or the IMF or one of these groups.
- 4:49They talk about, how you know they're here to help people,
- 4:52and they're going to help poor countries or whatever. But
- 4:55instead what we hear are reports of people that are
- 4:59part of these un teams end up raping people, molesting people,
- 5:03and doing way more harm than they do good. So
- 5:07it doesn't shock me for a second that they'd be
- 5:10in bed with Jeffrey Epstein. We already know that, and
- 5:12stories like this coming to the forefront they just reconfirm
- 5:16what folks like us already knew, and that is all
- 5:20of these people who were hanging out with Epstein, all
- 5:23of them were sick degenerates who knew what he was
- 5:26and willingly chose to dance to the tune that he
- 5:29was playing. The first two meetings were listed for Epstein's
- 5:33New York townhouse on March first and March third of
- 5:36twenty ten, when he was still under house arrest. The
- 5:40March first entry says Lord Mandelsson was due at seven
- 5:43thirty pm, while Benjamin Wegg Prosser, referred to as Peter's friend,
- 5:49was due to arrive at one pm. And when you
- 5:51look at all of the people, as far as people
- 5:54in the UK politicians and other powerful people that are
- 5:58connected to Epstein, is it any wonder that Scotland Yard
- 6:01decided not to pursue this case the way they should have.
- 6:05Who are they trying to protect? No different than over
- 6:08here when you have certain folks in certain positions protecting
- 6:13people like Epstein say things happening over in the UK
- 6:16because this degeneracy, what you think, it starts and stops
- 6:20here in America? Of course, not the rich, the powerful,
- 6:24those in charge. This is how they roll. They show
- 6:27us every single day who they are. The question is
- 6:30when are people going to start paying attention. Mister wegg
- 6:34Prosser was Lord Mandelsson's assistant and was previously Tony Blair's
- 6:39director of strategic Communications. He now works at Global Council,
- 6:44Lord Mandelson's consulting company as a managing director. An entry
- 6:49for May twenty eighth, twenty twelve said Peter Mandelsson to
- 6:52arrive in the evening from Shelter Island. Will he stay
- 6:55at the house. Shelter Island is an island in the Hamptons,
- 7:00the millionaire's playground east of New York. The entry for Wednesday,
- 7:04May thirtieth reads Peter Mandelssohn possibly leaves today if meeting
- 7:08organized for Boston. Otherwise, the parts Thursday for DC. So
- 7:13this guy, Peter Mandelssohn obviously has enough money. He could
- 7:16stay wherever he wants, the Waldorf, Astoria, Hilton, whatever you
- 7:21want to do. But no, I'm gonna stay at this
- 7:24convicted pedophiles house. And then I'm gonna get mad when
- 7:26people ask me questions about my relationship with said pedophile.
- 7:30And then I'm gonna get mad anytime anyone asked me
- 7:33a question about my relationship with Epstein. I mean, these
- 7:37people are just bizarre. They really truly think that they
- 7:40can just control the narrative and the stuff that we know,
- 7:44the stuff that has been outed about them, that they
- 7:47can just put it all back in that little box.
- 7:49But they can't. We all know what we know now,
- 7:52and it's time for these people to finally be held
- 7:55to account and at the very least, at the very
- 7:58least answer some questions. And until they start putting people
- 8:02under oath with some skin in the game, then we're
- 8:05never gonna get any real answers from any of these
- 8:08people who are around Jeffrey Epstein. Why would they answer,
- 8:11Why would they open their mouths if they're not compelled
- 8:14to do so. It's only going to make it worse
- 8:16for them, right, And that's why so many people that
- 8:19have been connected to Jeffrey Epstein just keep their head down,
- 8:22ignore the story, and act like nothing is happening. And
- 8:25they're able to do that, unfortunately, because the legacy media
- 8:29refuses to challenge these people about their relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 8:34And then the legacy media has the audacity to call
- 8:37people conspiracy theorists when they won't even set the record straight.
- 8:41So they set the stage for there to be all
- 8:45of these conspiracy theories and fertile ground for them to grow,
- 8:48and then they cry when it happens. Here's an idea,
- 8:51Tell the truth about what happened here, and you won't
- 8:54have to worry about conspiracy theories because the real truth,
- 8:57the actual truth of what occurred, is so good and
- 9:00disgusting you don't need a conspiracy theory to be mad
- 9:04about it. All you have to do is look at
- 9:06the real facts and the people who were with this
- 9:08dude committing these crimes. And it becomes very apparent why
- 9:12the legacy media has had a pretty much hands off
- 9:15approach until Alexander Acosta's name popped up with the story.
- 9:20The final entry is for April fourth, twenty fourteen, and
- 9:24is a dinner with Mandelssohn, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Brock,
- 9:28investor Mord Zuckerman and Jess Day, the former head of
- 9:32JP Morgan, who has been accused of abusing Epstein's survivors.
- 9:36Previous reports have shown photos of Lord Mandelsson on Epstein's
- 9:41island in two thousand and five and at his birthday
- 9:44in two thousand and six, but the diaries are the
- 9:47first suggestions of meetings after his prison sentence. Mister wegg
- 9:52Presser said I had the misfortune to meet Epstein on
- 9:55one occasion. It was a short meeting of no consequence
- 9:59and thanks flee was never repeated. Meanwhile, The Mail on
- 10:03Sunday has learned that Prince Andrew invited family friend Kathleen
- 10:08Keating forty one, daughter of former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating,
- 10:13to Epstein's mansion. We saw the pictures. We already knew
- 10:16that he was photographed peering around the door of the
- 10:19disgraced billionaire's home Pedophile on December sixth, twenty ten, as
- 10:23he waved goodbye to her. One source said Andrew told
- 10:27Emily Maitliss in his Newsnight interview, he went to New
- 10:30York to sever his ties with Epstein, So it seems
- 10:33counterintuitive he would feel comfortable enough to invite an old
- 10:37family friend over for tea. You have to wonder what
- 10:40was he thinking. He wasn't thinking about anything besides the
- 10:44fact that he felt untouchable. I'm the Prince of England
- 10:47and I'm with mister Jeffrey Epstein, who is being protected
- 10:50by Lord knows who, So why would he feel anything
- 10:53but comfortable? And now that all of this comes back
- 10:57and boomerangs to hit Joe Exotic of the Windsor family
- 11:01directly in the face, is anyone surprised? I'm not. How
- 11:05long have I been telling you about this shit? We
- 11:07have been talking about this for years now, and the
- 11:11fact that the legacy media is talking about it like
- 11:13it's just dripping out now is absolutely absurd. But if
- 11:17it gets more people interested in what's going on here
- 11:20and more people demanding accountability, I say better late than never.
- 11:26All right, folks, that's gonna do it for this one.
- 11:28All of the information that goes with the episode can
- 11:30be found in the description box. What's Up Everyone, and
- 11:34Welcome Back? To the Epstein chronicles. There are so many
- 11:39scumbags that were caught up with Jeffrey Epstein that were
- 11:42in political positions around the world that it will make
- 11:45your head spin. And in today's episode, we're going to
- 11:48talk about one of those dirt bags once again, and
- 11:52that dirt bag is Peter Mandelson, another UK politician who
- 11:57thought palin around with Jeffrey Epstein was a good idea.
- 12:00And now mandelssn's being exposed for the fact that not
- 12:04only was he paling around with Epstein, he was still
- 12:06in contact with him after Epstein was already a convicted
- 12:10sex offender. Today's article is from the Guardian headline. Bank
- 12:15report details Peter Mandelsson's apparent contact with Jeffrey Epstein. The
- 12:21author of this article is Rowena Mason. Court documents of
- 12:25shed light on the labor former business secretary Peter Mandelson's
- 12:29apparent contact with a disgraced businessman you mean, pedophile Jeffrey
- 12:34Epstein after the pedophile was convicted of procuring an underage
- 12:38girl for prostitution. No big deal to them, right, an
- 12:42underage girl for prostitution, that's just you know, light work
- 12:46for these disgusting scumbags, So why would they be mad
- 12:48at their buddy Jeffrey Epstein for the same shit they're doing.
- 12:52The document is a twenty nineteen internal report on Epstein
- 12:56by JP Morgan Bank, which had a fifteen year relationship
- 13:00with the financier, and was filed to a New York
- 13:03court this week. It found that Prince Andrew appeared to
- 13:07maintain a particularly close relationship with Prince Andrew, the Duke
- 13:11of York, and Lord Peter Mandelsson, a senior member of
- 13:15the British government. And you wonder why Prince Andrew, Jeffrey
- 13:19Epstein and Glenn Maxwell weren't even really investigated in London.
- 13:24And you have the answers you need right here. How
- 13:26many well placed people within the elite establishment of London
- 13:31were in the pocket of Epstein or were friendly at
- 13:34the very least with them. A whole lot of people, right,
- 13:36And then you add to that you got guys like
- 13:38Mandelssh and Prince Andrew, and they can exert a lot
- 13:42of political pressure on people not to investigate them, and
- 13:45we have seen the effects of that. Look what ABC
- 13:48did with the tapes that they had for the Amy
- 13:50Robock Show with the interview with Virginia. How they quashed
- 13:54that interview because they wanted to keep access to the royals.
- 13:57So for a long time, the last thing any of
- 13:59these knew, all his agencies wanted to do was to
- 14:02step on the toes of the royal family. And then
- 14:05you add in a guy like mandelssh who's very powerful
- 14:07as well, and you see how a guy like Jeffrey
- 14:10Epstein was able to operate with impunity. In two thousand
- 14:14and eight, Epstein was given an eighteen month sentence after
- 14:17pleading guilty to procuring an underage girl. That is such
- 14:21ridiculousness right on its face. Procuring an underage girl. You
- 14:26mean molesting an underage girl, right, You mean being a
- 14:29child molester, because how could a young girl who is
- 14:32under age be a prostitute if they can't consent? And
- 14:35the only reason that they were labeled as a prostitute
- 14:38is because Epstein brought up the money in the first place.
- 14:41What you think these fourteen year old girls were out
- 14:43there working the blade. No, he went and recruited them
- 14:47by using other girls to bring them into his scheme. Prostitutes.
- 14:51I got your prostitute right here, you fucking sto noad.
- 14:55He served time at the private wing of the Palm
- 14:58Beach County Stockade in Florida before being released on probation
- 15:02on July twenty second of two thousand and nine. And
- 15:06imagine the travesty of this idiot saying that he actually
- 15:09had to do jail time when he was just hanging
- 15:11out in this stockade. He didn't do real jail time.
- 15:15What he was in the yard, he was mainlined. He
- 15:17was dealing with all of the pressure that real people
- 15:20deal with when they're incarcerated. Hell no, he wasn't. And
- 15:23when you have dossier's on people like Prince Andrew and Mandelsshn,
- 15:27you know that they're gonna dance to your beat. And
- 15:30we know that Epstein had dossier's on just about everybody.
- 15:33What was in those dossiers, Well, that's the question. The
- 15:36JP Morgan Report reveals that Epstein wrote to his private
- 15:40banker Jess Daily on the seventeenth of June in two
- 15:43thousand and nine, in relation to Mandelssyn, to say, Peter
- 15:47will be staying at seventy first over the weekend. Do
- 15:51you want to organize either you or you? And Jamie
- 15:54quietly up to you at the time, Lord Mandelssh was
- 15:59Business secret terry in the government of Gordon Brown and
- 16:03talking about Jamie, he's referring to Jamie Diamond, the same
- 16:06guy who says he had no idea who Jeffrey Epstein was.
- 16:09That's interesting, huh. At that time, Lord Mandelsson was Business
- 16:15Secretary in the government of Gordon Brown. It also refers
- 16:19to an email from Mandelssohn when he was still Business
- 16:22Secretary in March of twenty ten, to Epstein saying can
- 16:26just send me email on issues Read Dodd's Vulkar. The
- 16:30request appears to be related to US regulations in the
- 16:34wake of the financial crisis. You mean the financial crisis
- 16:37that was created by these idiots, all of these financial
- 16:42sector experts who destroyed everybody's retirement in savings and lives.
- 16:48So during this whole period they're in contact with Epstein
- 16:51trying to find a way to navigate the new regulations. Meanwhile,
- 16:55I was sitting in the employee dining room at the
- 16:57hard Rock Hotel with some of my coworkers who were
- 17:00older and ready to retire, watching their whole lives be
- 17:04ripped out from underneath them because they lost their retirement,
- 17:08They lost their four oh one K. They lost everything
- 17:11and what happened nothing? Did any of these bankers go
- 17:14to prison? Did anything change? Of course it didn't. They
- 17:17might have changed the hustle, but look, the lick remains
- 17:20the same. The report also refers to two occasions on
- 17:25which Epstein said he was with pd which the Bank
- 17:29interprets as a reference to Mandelssohn, in November twenty ten
- 17:33and January twenty and eleven. Mandelssohn was out of the
- 17:37government by this point. Still scumbag ex political figure Palin
- 17:42around with pedophile Epstein. Yeah, you're gonna get called out
- 17:46for that, buddy, believe it. The Guardian has contacted Mandelssh
- 17:49and the lawyer for the Duke of York for comment
- 17:52on the report. A spokesperson for the Labor Peer said,
- 17:56Lord Mandelsson very much regrets ever having been introduced to Epstein.
- 18:01This connection has been a matter of public record for
- 18:03some time. He never had any kind of professional or
- 18:07business relationship with Epstein in any form. It has understood
- 18:11that Mandelson has no recollection or record of staying in
- 18:15Epstein's house in New York in two thousand and nine.
- 18:18They never remember, and you know how I say, they
- 18:21all play out of the same playbook. Here it is
- 18:23once again, I don't recall, I don't remember, and they
- 18:26frame it like that on purpose, so if they get
- 18:29out it later on, they can refer back to their
- 18:31previous statement and say, look, I said I didn't recall,
- 18:34I didn't deny it. And that's what every single one
- 18:37of these people has done when they've been called out
- 18:40on their relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Mandelssh appears to have
- 18:45been introduced to Epstein by Glenn Maxwell, daughter of the
- 18:48tycoon Robert Maxwell. She is serving twenty years in prison
- 18:52for the assisting of Epstein in sex trafficking of underage girls.
- 18:57The report also raises questions about print It's Andrew's claims
- 19:00have cut ties with Epstein in December of twenty ten.
- 19:05The royals friendship with Epstein has been criticized, particularly after
- 19:10he stayed with Epstein during a December twenty ten visit
- 19:13to New York, which the Duke of York has said
- 19:16was to tell him that they could no longer be
- 19:19in contact. Yeah, okay, I'm gonna fly across the pond
- 19:23so I can talk to this moron and tell him
- 19:26we can't be pals anymore? Does anyone believe that? Honestly?
- 19:31Out there, does anyone believe that story? That explanation? Would
- 19:35any of you do that hop on a plane fly
- 19:37across the Atlantic to tell a friend who has been
- 19:40outed as a pedophile that you can't be friends with
- 19:43them anymore? Or would you just stop talking to them
- 19:45altogether and say go fuck yourself? However, the JP Morgan
- 19:50report states that in February twenty eleven, two months after
- 19:54the Central Park meeting, Epstein wrote to Staley Andrew asked
- 19:58for your London schedule. Last year, the Duke of York
- 20:02settled a sexual assault case filed against him by Virginia
- 20:05Roberts for an undisclosed sum, but with no admission of liability.
- 20:11Roberts was introduced to him through Epstein and Maxwell. Look,
- 20:15he might not have admitted what he did, but when
- 20:18you pay out that sum a doe, do you really
- 20:20think that people are going to believe that you just
- 20:22paid it so you can move on. You're not rich,
- 20:25you're over there, a griftin from your brother, you're a
- 20:27mom everybody. So that's a big blow to Prince Andrew
- 20:31and his fortune. If he was innocent don't you think
- 20:35he would have fought that. In twenty nineteen, federal prosecutors
- 20:40charged Epstein with sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy
- 20:44to commit sex trafficking. Epstein denied the charges and was
- 20:48refused bail. He died months later in custody in an
- 20:51apparent suicide. The JP Morgan report was commissioned to examine
- 20:57the extent of the bank's relations with Epstein, which continued
- 21:01until twenty thirteen. And it's funny about that JP Morgan report.
- 21:05Up until this lawsuit with the US Virgin Islands, there
- 21:09was no chance that we were ever going to see
- 21:11that report. You think JP Morgan was going to let
- 21:14us see this internal report that is outing themselves as
- 21:18being scumbags. Zero chance. They did that report for this purpose,
- 21:23specifically in case they got nailed down the line, they
- 21:26could refer back to the report and tell the court, Look,
- 21:30we're our own self watchdog. We initiated this whole entire investigation.
- 21:34See what we did here. Meanwhile, it's a bunch of
- 21:37bs and they're just investigating themselves. But now that it's
- 21:41convenient to them and that they might use it as
- 21:44far as ammunition, well they can't wait to release it. Right,
- 21:49Mandelsshn has given informal advice to the current Labor leadership.
- 21:53A spokesperson for the party said, there are a whole
- 21:56range of people that kyr Starmer talks to. Obviously, he
- 22:00talks to people who were part of the last Labor government,
- 22:03including Peter Mandelssohn. Well, again, this is nothing new to us, folks.
- 22:07We've known about Peter Mandelssohn for how long now, But
- 22:11again it shines a spotlight on all of these powerful
- 22:14people that were palaling around with Epstein that still have
- 22:17not answered for that relationship, and unfortunately they're never going
- 22:22to be forced to do so. All right, folks, that's
- 22:25gonna do it for this one. All of the information
- 22:28that goes with the episode can be found in the
- 22:30description box. What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode
- 22:34of the Epstein Chronicles. So Peter Mandelssyn was arrested yesterday
- 22:40and now he has been released on Bell and that
- 22:43follows the same pattern that we saw with Prince Andrew
- 22:47who was also recently arrested and released after about twelve hours. Now.
- 22:52The investigation obviously is ongoing, and they haven't confirmed one
- 22:56way or the other which way they're leaning. But just
- 23:00from the emails themselves, it's rather obvious that these two
- 23:04dudes passed on confidential information to Jeffrey Epstein. And I
- 23:08know some people act like it's no big deal, but
- 23:11it most certainly is. I mean, how much more evidence
- 23:14is needed that Jeffrey Epstein was collecting information, was using
- 23:19that information for his own ends, for his own benefit
- 23:22and for the benefit of whoever else than what we've
- 23:26seen already. I mean, we have confirmation right here that
- 23:30two high ranking members of the English government were passing
- 23:35classified information to somebody that's been called an intelligence asset.
- 23:39Do you think Epstein was just collecting that information for
- 23:42fun or do you think that he had a purpose
- 23:44for it, that he had a use for it, Because
- 23:47I don't think there's any doubt that Jeffrey Epstein was
- 23:50collecting this information for a specific purpose. What that purpose is,
- 23:55I have no idea sell it to somebody, use it
- 23:58to benefit for himself, whatever it might be. He wasn't
- 24:03just collecting this information to collect it though, that's for
- 24:05damn sure. And I think that this really throws cold
- 24:08water over the narrative that Jeffrey Epstein is just some
- 24:12kind of pervert, because it was obviously a lot more.
- 24:15In the previous episode, we talked about the Dea investigation
- 24:19that included Jeffrey Epstein. That's never been explained. We've talked
- 24:24about how many different money laundering situations, and it doesn't
- 24:28just stop at money laundering. If there's a financial crime
- 24:32that could be committed, these people were committing them. You
- 24:37have to remember people like Epstein, they wrote the book
- 24:41on how to commit crimes in the financial sector. His mentors,
- 24:44the people that showed him the ropes. They knew exactly
- 24:48what buttons to push, and Epstein himself getting all that
- 24:52experience at bear Stearns and running his own financial scheme
- 24:55over at Tower Financial. Epstein had everything that these people
- 24:59were looking and then you add the proclivities to that,
- 25:03his sick, disgusting, deviant desires, and it was a match
- 25:07made in heaven. So if anybody thinks that Jeffrey Epstein
- 25:11was just some pervert who might have hooked up with
- 25:13a seventeen year old girl one time, congratulations, you're the
- 25:17exact kind of moron they're counting on. Today's article was
- 25:21published by AP and the headline Former UK Ambassador Mandelsshn
- 25:26released on Bell after arrest and Epstein probe. This article
- 25:30was authored by Pan Pylos and Jill Lawless. Police in
- 25:35Britain said Peter Mandelson, the former UK ambassador to the
- 25:39United States, has been released on Bell after he was
- 25:42arrested in a misconduct probe stemming from his ties to
- 25:46the late Jeffrey Epstein. It came days after a friendship
- 25:50with Epstein landed the former Prince Andrew in police custody,
- 25:54and the writing was on the wall right once Prince
- 25:56Andrew was arrested, I knew that Mandelssohn was next, and frankly,
- 26:00I thought that Mandelson would have been arrested first. But
- 26:03once Andrew was arrested, you knew that mandelsyn was gonna
- 26:07get hemmed up. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said in a
- 26:11statement issued just after two am Tuesday, A seventy two
- 26:15year old man arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public
- 26:19office has been released on Bill pending further investigation. So
- 26:24this isn't going away, and I think that Mandelssynh is
- 26:29facing a lot of exposure here now. Of course, we
- 26:32always have to keep in mind Is this all just
- 26:34for show? Are they acting like they're just absolutely mortified
- 26:40by Mandelssohn's actions and then they're gonna go light on
- 26:43them because you know, he's one of us. That's how
- 26:47it's always been. Is the UK going to change course
- 26:52and actually treat Mandelson like they would anybody else? Imagine
- 26:56if Mandelsson was I don't know, a lieutenant in the Navy,
- 27:00any passed nonsensitive information to anybody, how would that be
- 27:05dealt with? We all know that it would be dealt
- 27:07with swiftly and brutally, So the same should be true
- 27:11for Peter Mandelssohn and people like him when they find
- 27:15themselves in the crosshairs of an investigation. The man was
- 27:20not named, in keeping with British police practice, but the
- 27:23suspect in the case previously was identified as the former
- 27:26diplomat who's seventy two. Mandelssohn was filmed being led from
- 27:31his London home by a car by plane clothes officers
- 27:34on Monday afternoon, and I know people wanted like a
- 27:37dramatic arrest, but that was never going to happen, the
- 27:41fact that they even arrested Mandelssohn and Andrew is gigantically huge. Now,
- 27:47of course I'm not naive it could all be performative.
- 27:51Certainly wouldn't be the first time, and it certainly won't
- 27:54be the last. But I have a feeling that the
- 27:57people of the UK have had enough and I think
- 28:01that Mandelssh and Prince Andrew or the former Prince Andrew
- 28:05are a good start. But of course the million dollar
- 28:08question is does the British establishment have the backbone to
- 28:12see this through? And I guess we'll have to wait
- 28:15to see what goes down, but certainly a good start.
- 28:22Both Mandelsson and Andrew Mountbatten windsor the former Prince Andrew
- 28:26are suspected of improperly passing UK government information to the
- 28:30disgraced US financier, and the high profile British arrests are
- 28:35some of the most dramatic fallout from the troph of
- 28:38more than three million pages of Epstein related documents released
- 28:42last month by the US Justice Department. Well, no doubt
- 28:45about that. I mean, here in America we're sitting on
- 28:49our hands, no big deal. Come on, this is all
- 28:51just overblown. You're just a fableist. This is the moral panic.
- 28:56Jeffrey Epstein. Not really that bad of a guy. He
- 29:00like seventeen year old girls. So what That's the kind
- 29:03of bullshit we're dealing with here in America. Meanwhile, over
- 29:07in the UK you got a principal blood getting him
- 29:10up and one of the most powerful politicians in the
- 29:13whole last country. Like you dudes in America can't find
- 29:16one financial crime to arrest anybody on well, for them
- 29:20to do that, that have to upset their donors and
- 29:23the Epstein administration, I mean, the Trump administration is never
- 29:27going to do that. Police are investigating Mandelsyn overclaims that
- 29:31he passed sensitive government information to Epstein a decade and
- 29:35a half ago. He does not face allegations of sexual misconduct. Yeah,
- 29:40I've never heard anything about Mandelsinn diddling anybody, so certainly
- 29:44not in that realm. But when it comes to other
- 29:47things enabling Epstein and helping enrich Epstein, there's no doubt
- 29:51that Mandelssyn is a co conspirator. His arrest came four
- 29:56days after in Mount batt And Windsor was arrested in
- 29:58a separate case on suspicion of a similar offense related
- 30:02to his friendship with Epstein. He was a released after
- 30:06eleven hours in custody while the police investigation continues. Yeah,
- 30:10I didn't think they were going to hold them. I mean,
- 30:12they'll keep them there, interrogate them, and then release him
- 30:16after he sees a judge or makes bail or whatever.
- 30:19But there was no way that they were going to
- 30:20hold him indefinitely. There's no capital crimes committed here. But
- 30:25I will say this, the fact that they're even talking
- 30:28about treason is a big deal. Do I think they're
- 30:31going to go that route? No, but they should. Anybody
- 30:35who's passing classified information to anybody else is putting the
- 30:39whole nation in jeopardy. And I know if I was
- 30:42a British citizen, I wouldn't be happy about any of it.
- 30:46And you can say that is taking it too far,
- 30:48or it's overblown, whatever, but I don't agree. Once you
- 30:52start talking about state secrets and passing those along to
- 30:55other people, especially people like Epstein, we're talking about big
- 31:00trouble and we're literally talking about treason because you don't
- 31:04know what Epstein's going to do with that information. Is
- 31:06he going to sell it to whoever? Probably either that
- 31:12or he's going to enrich himself, And either way it's
- 31:14bad news. Mandelson served in senior government roles under previous
- 31:19Labor governments, and was UK Ambassador to Washington until Prime
- 31:23Minister A. Curas Starmer fired him in September after emails
- 31:26were published showing that he maintained a friendship with Epstein
- 31:31after the financier Pedophiles two thousand and eight conviction for
- 31:34sex offenses involving a minor. And this is the big
- 31:38problem because it says involving a minor. It was a
- 31:42lot more than that. And I think that Barry Krisher
- 31:46and the State of prosecutors that are responsible for this
- 31:50should have to answer for it, because there's no way
- 31:53in hell that with what Epstein was up to, he
- 31:55should have only received the sentence that he received. Was
- 32:00looking at a life sentence on those federal charges. To
- 32:03go from a life sentence to thirteen months only for
- 32:06a guy like Epstein, certainly not for me, certainly not
- 32:10for you. The files released in January contained more explosive
- 32:15revelations about Mandelson's ties to Epstein, whom he once called
- 32:19my best pal. Messages suggest that Mandelssohn passed on sensitive
- 32:24and potentially market moving government information to Epstein in two
- 32:28thousand and nine, when Mandelssohn was a senior minister in
- 32:31the British government. That includes an internal government report discussing
- 32:35ways the UK could raise money after the two thousand
- 32:38and eight global financial crisis, including by selling off government assets.
- 32:44Mandelssohn also appears to have told Epstein he would lobby
- 32:48other members of the government to reduce a tax on
- 32:51banker bonuses. And remember, Jeffrey Epstein benefited from the financial
- 32:56collapse by being made whole by the taxpayer. Oh, if
- 33:00you're not mad about that, I don't think there's any
- 33:02help for you. How can you not be mad that
- 33:05you are being robbed by Jeffrey Epstein? Please explain that
- 33:09British police launched a criminal probe earlier this month and
- 33:13searched Mandelssohn's two houses in London and Western England. The
- 33:17decision to appoint Mandelsson nearly cost Starmer's job earlier this month,
- 33:22as questions swirled around his judgment about someone who has
- 33:25flirted with controversy during a decade's long political career. Though
- 33:30he acknowledged he made a mistake and he apologized to
- 33:33victims of Epstein, Starmer's position remains precarious. His future may
- 33:39rest on the release of files connected to Mandelsson's appointment.
- 33:43The government has pledged to begin releasing those documents in
- 33:46early March, though the timeline may be complicated by his arrest.
- 33:52Mandelssohn has been a major, if contentious figure in the
- 33:55center left Labor Party for decades. He's a skilled, critics say, rum,
- 34:00ruthless political operator whose mastery of political intrigue earned him
- 34:04the name Prince of Darkness. While not that great, huh
- 34:08was sending emails to Jeffrey Epstein audition off state secrets
- 34:12and not even protecting those communications. Not so savvy after all.
- 34:18Lizzie the grandson of former Labor Cabinet minister Herbert Morrison.
- 34:24He was an architect of the party's return to power
- 34:27in ninety seven as centrist modernizing New Labor under Prime
- 34:31Minister Tony Blair. Mandelsson served in senior government posts under
- 34:36Blair between ninety seven and two thousand and one and
- 34:40under Prime Minister Gordon Brown from two thousand and eight
- 34:43to twenty ten. In between, he was the European Union's
- 34:47Trade Commissioner. Brown has been particularly angered by the revelations
- 34:52and has been helping police with their inquiries. Mandelsson twice
- 34:56had to resign from government during the Blair administration over
- 35:00allegations of financial or ethical impropriety, acknowledging mistakes but denying
- 35:06any wrongdoing. Oh, just a big mistake. I had no idea. Well,
- 35:09if you're that dumb, you shouldn't be in government. Pretty simple.
- 35:13And how many times are you guys going to throw
- 35:14this dude out of government and then let him back in?
- 35:18What he's a change man? Oh, I've turned over a
- 35:21new leaf. I only take money from pedophiles now, not
- 35:24arms traffickers. Oh wait, Epstein's both. He later returned to
- 35:29government and was back on the political front line when
- 35:32Starmer named him Ambassador to Washington at the start of
- 35:35US President Donald Trump's second term. Mandelssohn's trade expertise and
- 35:40comfort around the ultra rich were considered major assets. He
- 35:45helped secure a trade deal in May that spare Britain
- 35:48some of the tariffs Trump is imposed on countries around
- 35:50the world. Oh well, in that case, let's just forget
- 35:53everything else he was up to. No big deal, got
- 35:56us a couple of trade deals, So no big deal.
- 36:00The status of the deal is now up in the
- 36:02air after Trump announced a new set of global tariffs
- 36:05in the wake of a US Supreme Court decision quashing
- 36:08his previous in poor tax order. Earlier this month, Mandelssohn
- 36:13resigned from the House of Lords, Parliament's upper chamber, to
- 36:16which he was appointed for life in two thousand and eight,
- 36:19but he still has the title Lord Mandelsson that went
- 36:22with it. All right, So there's where we're at with
- 36:25Lord Mandelssh and his arrest, and obviously when we have
- 36:29some more information, one way or the other will get
- 36:31it added to the catalog. As far as this one, well,
- 36:35that's going to do it. All the information that goes
- 36:37with this episode can be found in the description box.
