Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Broadcasting live across the world right now.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the John Jay and Rich radio program.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Rank.com dropped the scariest Halloween movies this year so far.
- 0:15Speaker 3: So far. Back Rooms is number 14. My son just
- 0:18Speaker 3: told me yesterday he thought that movie was terrifying. A
- 0:21Speaker 3: movie called Exit 8. Then Marama. Faces of Death was
- 0:25Speaker 3: number 11. 28 Years Later, The Bone Temple was number 10.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Leviticus is nine. They Will Kill You is eight.
- 0:34Speaker 4: That doesn't sound good. They Will Kill You.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Apophiniacs was seven. Her Private Hell is number six. Resident
- 0:42Speaker 3: Evil is number five. Touch Me is number four. Hocum,
- 0:47Speaker 3: number three. Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Missima is
- 0:51Speaker 3: number two. And the number one I keep hearing over
- 0:55Speaker 3: and over and over again is Obsession. It's the scariest
- 0:58Speaker 3: movie of 2026.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I liked it. Now you might watch it and be like,
- 1:03Speaker 4: it's not that scary, but if you really truly do
- 1:05Speaker 4: watch it, you will be screaming your face off. Peyton
- 1:08Speaker 4: made me watch it and I'm still mad at her.
- 1:10Speaker 5: I didn't find it that scary.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Maybe I just dated too many people like that.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Yeah, but I don't know. Right now, like right around
- 1:18Speaker 5: Halloween time, I'm always into watching the scary movies and stuff.
- 1:21Speaker 5: And the new Crystal Lake show came out and I
- 1:24Speaker 5: was watching and it stars Linda Cardelli and she plays
- 1:27Speaker 5: like Pam Voorhees, Jason's mom. And I'm watching it, and
- 1:31Speaker 5: I'm like, there is not enough slashing in this slasher
- 1:34Speaker 5: movie for me.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You need to see more people die. I need more people.
- 1:37Speaker 5: I need more blood splatter. I need more stuff. If
- 1:40Speaker 5: I'm watching a scary movie.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I want to watch a scary movie.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You know what? I had a couple people message me
- 1:43Speaker 3: saying it was really good.
- 1:44Speaker 5: It's pretty good so far, but it is a little
- 1:46Speaker 5: slow moving for me. I'm about halfway into the third episode,
- 1:50Speaker 5: and they're about 45 to 50 minutes long. And I just,
- 1:54Speaker 5: it's like you, you side with Jason. You, you feel
- 1:57Speaker 5: the empathy for them. He's bullied and Pam, you know,
- 2:01Speaker 5: she's just a mother who just like wants her child
- 2:03Speaker 5: and they're reopening Crystal Lake, but they haven't found Jason's
- 2:06Speaker 5: body yet. And so she like is trying to go
- 2:08Speaker 5: and get vengeance on everyone who did her kid wrong.
- 2:11Speaker 3: So it's a prequel, right?
- 2:12Speaker 6: Yes.
- 2:12Speaker 3: So if I remember the movie and I only saw
- 2:14Speaker 3: one time and it was the biggest mistake of my life, but,
- 2:17Speaker 3: but You find out at the end of Friday the
- 2:20Speaker 3: 13th that's the mom, the killer, and it's because Jason
- 2:22Speaker 3: drowned or died or something like that, right? So this
- 2:24Speaker 3: takes you up to that.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Yes.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Or he's already drowned.
- 2:26Speaker 5: It starts off with Jason's drowning.
- 2:29Speaker 3: And then they go, and then they show you him
- 2:30Speaker 3: getting bullied, and then, so then she starts, at some point,
- 2:33Speaker 3: she starts killing people.
- 2:35Speaker 5: And she's killed a couple people, but not enough.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Has she killed Kevin Bacon yet?
- 2:39Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, he was in that first one.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Kevin Bacon was the first person killed in the first
- 2:43Speaker 3: Rite of the Day movie. He wasn't even famous yet.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I remember traumatically, he was in the bottom bunk. He's
- 2:48Speaker 3: laying down in the bottom bunk, and the knife comes
- 2:50Speaker 3: from underneath the bunk, and they hold his head down,
- 2:52Speaker 3: and then the knife goes.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Through his throat. Yeah, they're pretty gruesome murders, for sure.
- 2:58Speaker 4: You're rooting for Linda Cardinelli to just kill more people?
- 3:00Speaker 5: Yeah, because, yeah. Well, it's like you feel really bad
- 3:04Speaker 5: for him because he really is just a sweet kid
- 3:06Speaker 5: who just is different.
- 3:07Speaker 3: That's so sad.
- 3:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Hey, dummy. If you get free roses, it's a trap.
- 3:12Speaker 1: War of the Roses starts right now on John Jay
- 3:16Speaker 1: and Rich.
- 3:17Speaker 3: It's time for War of the Roses. John Jay and Rich,
- 3:19Speaker 3: you think someone's cheating on you, so you come to us.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Good morning, Adrienne. Good morning. What's your story?
- 3:25Speaker 8: Well, so I had to go out.
- 3:28Speaker 9: Of town last minute for work this past weekend. And
- 3:32Speaker 9: before I left, I told my husband... I gave him
- 3:35Speaker 9: like a list of very specific things to do.
- 3:38Speaker 10: One that I really wanted.
- 3:40Speaker 9: Was watering my plants. I have some really expensive.
- 3:43Speaker 10: Plants I've had for years.
- 3:44Speaker 8: And when I got home last Sunday, they were all dead.
- 3:49Speaker 8: It shows that he clearly didn't even touch them.
- 3:52Speaker 9: And when I asked him about it, he said he forgot.
- 3:55Speaker 9: So I went and I checked our ring cameras.
- 3:58Speaker 11: And conveniently, they like died Friday afternoon right after I left.
- 4:04Speaker 3: He forgot to water those, too.
- 4:06Speaker 5: He took out the batteries up to something real shady.
- 4:08Speaker 5: How convenient.
- 4:10Speaker 12: Right.
- 4:10Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 4:11Speaker 1: So.
- 4:13Speaker 10: And.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Oh, the cameras died. I thought you were saying the
- 4:16Speaker 4: plants died.
- 4:16Speaker 8: No, no, no.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I'm sorry. The plants died.
- 4:18Speaker 8: The cameras died.
- 4:19Speaker 4: But I mean, like, on Friday afternoon, you can see
- 4:21Speaker 4: them just overwilt. And then Friday afternoon, they're all gone.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Now I get it. Yeah, he unplugged the batteries.
- 4:27Speaker 9: So I couldn't look at anything this weekend. And there
- 4:31Speaker 9: is a woman... named Michelle.
- 4:34Speaker 10: That he used to work with, who I've always sort
- 4:36Speaker 10: of been suspicious of.
- 4:38Speaker 9: And a few months ago, she FaceTimed him at midnight,
- 4:42Speaker 9: which she claimed was.
- 4:43Speaker 10: An accident, but I just think that was inappropriate.
- 4:47Speaker 9: I don't know how you FaceTime someone by accident at midnight. Anyway,
- 4:52Speaker 9: she's also recently single, and they used to text constantly
- 4:56Speaker 9: until I said something about it, and I genuinely think
- 4:59Speaker 9: he spent the entire weekend at her house, and That's
- 5:03Speaker 9: why he didn't take.
- 5:04Speaker 10: Care of the plants.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Or she was at your house all weekend. That's why
- 5:07Speaker 4: the cameras were unplugged.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Oh, God, that makes it worse.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Ew.
- 5:10Speaker 14: Oh, yeah, that makes sense.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Was there anything that you noticed around the house? Something maybe...
- 5:15Speaker 5: Dead plants! Misplaced other than your dead plants?
- 5:18Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 5:19Speaker 12: Like, did you.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Unplugged cameras!
- 5:20Speaker 4: See some, like.
- 5:21Speaker 3: What about something else?
- 5:22Speaker 15: Glitter?
- 5:23Speaker 4: What about not even single Michelle?
- 5:24Speaker 5: No, I'm thinking of, like, another woman being in your home.
- 5:28Speaker 5: I'm talking about a random stray hair.
- 5:30Speaker 16: She might not have been there, but he may have
- 5:32Speaker 16: unplugged the cameras because he didn't want to see that
- 5:34Speaker 16: he wasn't there.
- 5:35Speaker 12: Right.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Who knows?
- 5:36Speaker 4: You know what's weird about this is there's almost nothing...
- 5:39Speaker 4: he could excuse himself from that doesn't make him sound
- 5:42Speaker 4: guilty to me at this point. He sounds totally guilty.
- 5:45Speaker 5: Well, we got to find out what his explanation is
- 5:47Speaker 5: and who he sends these roses to.
- 5:48Speaker 3: All right, we'll get him on the phone and find out.
- 5:50Speaker 3: But real quick, I am a little naive in this
- 5:53Speaker 3: part of the world, Adrienne. If you don't water plants
- 5:56Speaker 3: over two days, they die. I don't know. I know
- 5:58Speaker 3: Kyle kills every plant she comes in contact with. I'm like,
- 6:00Speaker 3: don't ask me, plant care. I don't know how to worry,
- 6:02Speaker 3: because I don't think I've ever watered plants.
- 6:03Speaker 15: It's not that they die.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Well, one of them's an orchid.
- 6:07Speaker 12: Oh.
- 6:07Speaker 9: They're very hard to keep alive.
- 6:09Speaker 10: And you can.
- 6:11Speaker 9: Just tell, like, they've been thirsty.
- 6:14Speaker 15: One of them didn't die.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Like Michelle. She's thirsty.
- 6:18Speaker 6: She probably is.
- 6:20Speaker 8: Okay.
- 6:21Speaker 15: Sorry.
- 6:21Speaker 3: What do you call it? Infidelity humor. All right. We're
- 6:25Speaker 3: going to get your husband online. What is his name, Adrienne?
- 6:28Speaker 12: Jacob.
- 6:29Speaker 9: Okay.
- 6:29Speaker 15: Hold on.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Okay.
- 6:29Speaker 3: We're going to get Jacob on the phone. We're going
- 6:30Speaker 3: to see who he sends the flowers to. Colin, are
- 6:32Speaker 3: you ready to do this?
- 6:33Speaker 17: I'm ready.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Let's bust this guy.
- 6:34Speaker 18: Okay.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Let's go. War of the Roses continues next with John
- 6:36Speaker 3: Jay and Rich.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 6:39Speaker 3: All right, we're in the middle of War of the Roses.
- 6:41Speaker 3: You got Adrienne here who goes out of town for
- 6:43Speaker 3: a weekend. All she asked her husband Jacob to do...
- 6:46Speaker 3: water the plants guess what he didn't water the plants
- 6:49Speaker 3: when she got home they were dying they were dead
- 6:51Speaker 3: and she was pretty pissed because she's had them for
- 6:52Speaker 3: a long time so she goes and checks the cameras
- 6:55Speaker 3: batteries taken out of the cameras she's putting two and
- 6:58Speaker 3: two together she realizes also that an old co-worker of
- 7:00Speaker 3: his or a co-worker of his facetimed him at midnight
- 7:03Speaker 3: a few weeks ago she said they said it was
- 7:05Speaker 3: a mistake she's pretty confident something's going on so she
- 7:10Speaker 3: wants us to find out if he's cheating so Adrian
- 7:12Speaker 3: that's a quick setup did I leave anything out is
- 7:15Speaker 3: that good are you ready to go Yes. Kyle, are
- 7:18Speaker 3: you ready?
- 7:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 7:20Speaker 19: Hello?
- 7:32Speaker 3: Hi there. Is Jacob available?
- 7:34Speaker 8: Yes, is he?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Perfect.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Hi, Jacob.
- 7:37Speaker 16: So my name is Sienna. I'm with a new company.
- 7:38Speaker 16: We're called J & R Flowers. I'm really just trying
- 7:40Speaker 16: to get the word out. So we started this social
- 7:43Speaker 16: media campaign that you've actually been chosen for.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Congratulations.
- 7:46Speaker 16: What this means for you, Jacob, is you get to
- 7:48Speaker 16: send our most romantic bouquet of roses. We call it
- 7:51Speaker 16: our pure passion bouquet. Dozen red roses, beautiful vase, very
- 7:54Speaker 16: like woo worthy. I mean, it's stunning. Totally free. You
- 7:58Speaker 16: do this totally free. You send it to someone special
- 8:00Speaker 16: in your life. And, you know, what we're kind of
- 8:02Speaker 16: hoping in return is that you, you know, either repost
- 8:05Speaker 16: something on our Instagram or just post about J &
- 8:06Speaker 16: R Flowers so, like, all of your friends know that we're, like,
- 8:10Speaker 16: a great brand to choose.
- 8:12Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 8:13Speaker 20: I'm not going to get, like, a bunch of email.
- 8:16Speaker 20: spam from this, am I?
- 8:17Speaker 16: No, I mean, I don't even need your email address.
- 8:20Speaker 16: I don't need your address. I don't need a credit
- 8:21Speaker 16: card or any information like that. The one, the really
- 8:25Speaker 16: only thing that I will need from you, and it's
- 8:27Speaker 16: a really cool thing that we're doing, when whoever you
- 8:31Speaker 16: choose to receive this beautiful gift, when they get it,
- 8:34Speaker 16: we send it with a, like a voice note. It's
- 8:36Speaker 16: like a voice memo. And that's your chance to really
- 8:39Speaker 16: kind of just say whatever you want them to hear
- 8:42Speaker 16: when they receive this gift. And that's really the only
- 8:45Speaker 16: thing that I need from you. I, we can get
- 8:48Speaker 16: that going whenever you're ready.
- 8:49Speaker 5: If you're down.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Okay, sure.
- 8:51Speaker 14: Perfect.
- 8:51Speaker 21: Okay.
- 8:52Speaker 3: So, all right.
- 8:53Speaker 16: So you're just going to hear a little beep and
- 8:54Speaker 16: that's when you can start. That's when I'm recording right
- 8:56Speaker 16: about now.
- 8:57Speaker 4: At the tone, please record your message.
- 9:01Speaker 20: I know this weekend was a lot, but I'm glad
- 9:04Speaker 20: we finally got to spend some real time together. I
- 9:07Speaker 20: promise things are going to change soon.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I love you.
- 9:10Speaker 16: Okay, that's a great message. So we'll talk address in
- 9:15Speaker 16: just a second, but just give me a name that
- 9:17Speaker 16: I can address this to.
- 9:19Speaker 20: Can you send it to Michelle?
- 9:22Speaker 9: Things are going to change soon? What the does that mean, Jacob?
- 9:27Speaker 9: I would think very hard before you choose to speak.
- 9:30Speaker 7: Hi.
- 9:31Speaker 6: What?
- 9:32Speaker 22: Hello?
- 9:33Speaker 6: Hi.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Adrienne?
- 9:35Speaker 21: What's going on?
- 9:36Speaker 9: What's changing? Why are you sending Michelle flowers?
- 9:41Speaker 23: Wait, no, no, what is this? Some kind of setup?
- 9:45Speaker 3: Yes.
- 9:47Speaker 9: I knew something happened. What's changing? Did you have her
- 9:51Speaker 9: in my house, Jacob?
- 9:53Speaker 20: Adrian, please, can we just talk about this when I
- 9:56Speaker 20: get home?
- 9:57Speaker 24: No, you're going to.
- 9:58Speaker 9: Talk to me about it right now.
- 9:59Speaker 18: What do you mean?
- 10:00Speaker 9: Things are going to change?
- 10:01Speaker 20: No, just give me, can we just talk about this
- 10:05Speaker 20: another time?
- 10:06Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 10:07Speaker 9: What do you mean things are going to change?
- 10:11Speaker 22: It means I'm leaving, okay?
- 10:14Speaker 4: It means I'm leaving.
- 10:15Speaker 20: Michelle and I have been looking at apartments.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Ooh.
- 10:18Speaker 15: Ooh.
- 10:19Speaker 20: We actually found one this weekend, and I was going
- 10:21Speaker 20: to tell you.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I didn't know how.
- 10:23Speaker 9: Oh, my God. I'm going to throw up. You went
- 10:27Speaker 9: apartment hunting with another woman while I was out of town?
- 10:30Speaker 3: Well, I haven't been happy for a very long time, Adrienne.
- 10:34Speaker 20: And I know that's hard to hear, but they're trying
- 10:36Speaker 20: to figure out how to get out of this marriage
- 10:37Speaker 20: for months.
- 10:38Speaker 9: So you've just been coming home and sleeping next to me,
- 10:40Speaker 9: acting like everything is normal?
- 10:43Speaker 3: Because every time I tried to bring up how unhappy
- 10:45Speaker 3: I was, you acted like everything was fine.
- 10:47Speaker 20: I need to actually have.
- 10:49Speaker 23: A conversation about this.
- 10:50Speaker 20: And Michelle actually listens to me. I feel like I'm
- 10:54Speaker 20: myself when I'm with her.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Wow.
- 10:56Speaker 9: And I was here upset because you killed my plants
- 10:59Speaker 9: and you're literally planning a whole new life behind my back.
- 11:04Speaker 18: Well, I'm sorry.
- 11:05Speaker 5: For years.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I'm sorry, okay?
- 11:08Speaker 20: I don't want to be married to you anymore.
- 11:09Speaker 10: You're such a coward.
- 11:11Speaker 4: I don't want to be married.
- 11:12Speaker 10: I haven't for a long time.
- 11:15Speaker 20: And we can talk about this when I get home.
- 11:16Speaker 9: You're not going to want to be married to anybody.
- 11:18Speaker 5: I'm sorry, Adrian.
- 11:19Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 2: That's hard to last.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Hold on, Adrian. We'll talk to you real quick, see
- 11:23Speaker 3: if we can get you some counseling real quick. Hold
- 11:24Speaker 3: on a second. That's War of the Roses. You're John
- 11:27Speaker 3: Jay and Rich.
- 11:27Speaker 15: Oh, cool.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Your scanner stopped. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 11:31Speaker 3: All right, you guys. She's been on our show before.
- 11:32Speaker 3: She was amazing. We have Wendy the Witch on the line.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I was in love with you. And then the witch doctor,
- 11:41Speaker 3: he told me what to do. He said that... I
- 11:44Speaker 3: put a spell on you. I put a spell on you.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Must be the.
- 11:50Speaker 8: Season of the witch.
- 12:04Speaker 25: Must be the season of the witch.
- 12:09Speaker 12: Must be the season of the witch.
- 12:12Speaker 8: They're burning all the.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Witches even if you aren't one.
- 12:17Speaker 24: So light me up.
- 12:19Speaker 19: Light me up.
- 12:20Speaker 8: Light me up. Light me up.
- 12:21Speaker 19: Light me up.
- 12:25Speaker 18: Light me up.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Good morning wendy the witch how are you.
- 12:35Speaker 8: Good morning i'm doing great thank.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You uh we have a lot of stuff to get
- 12:39Speaker 3: to with you we want to get into what happened
- 12:41Speaker 3: with kyle but this started that we wanted to get
- 12:43Speaker 3: you on because i think it was of javier right
- 12:44Speaker 3: was javier the one that had he lived in a
- 12:46Speaker 3: house well he could tell the story let's see uh
- 12:49Speaker 3: javier good morning Good morning.
- 12:51Speaker 26: How are you guys?
- 12:52Speaker 3: Good. Hey, can you say hi to Wendy the Witch
- 12:53Speaker 3: and tell her your situation, please? But a quick version.
- 12:56Speaker 3: We don't have all day to listen to you. It
- 12:57Speaker 3: was a long story. Go ahead.
- 12:59Speaker 26: Morning, Wendy the Witch. So basically, since I was a kid,
- 13:04Speaker 26: almost every single house I've moved to, like from city
- 13:07Speaker 26: to city, I've had this weird feeling when I'm going
- 13:09Speaker 26: to bed. And then I'll wake up in the morning
- 13:12Speaker 26: and there's like this huge crack in the window. And
- 13:14Speaker 26: like I said, it's been happening since I was a kid.
- 13:17Speaker 26: Went from Tempe, Gilbert, Chandler, back to Tempe. Now I
- 13:20Speaker 26: have my house. So far, so good. But I'm pretty
- 13:23Speaker 26: sure talking about it is probably going to make it
- 13:26Speaker 26: come out.
- 13:27Speaker 13: So a little worried.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You feel a presence like in the room or outside
- 13:30Speaker 4: of the room trying to get in. And then you
- 13:32Speaker 4: wake up and you see a window cracked.
- 13:34Speaker 26: It's just a weird presence when I'm laying in bed
- 13:36Speaker 26: about to go to sleep. And it's never necessarily been
- 13:40Speaker 26: next to the window. Like my bed's never been next
- 13:42Speaker 26: to the window, but I can just kind of feel it.
- 13:44Speaker 26: And then, you know, the next morning, like, oh, there's
- 13:46Speaker 26: a giant crack in the window.
- 13:47Speaker 17: Cool.
- 13:47Speaker 3: All right, Wendy, your vibes?
- 13:49Speaker 8: So what is breaking? Is it mirrors or windows?
- 13:52Speaker 4: Windows.
- 13:53Speaker 24: Windows.
- 13:54Speaker 9: Interesting.
- 13:54Speaker 8: So one of the things that I am feeling for
- 13:58Speaker 8: you is that you probably are carrying something since you
- 14:04Speaker 8: were a child. And I've been around before, so please
- 14:07Speaker 8: sit with this one. But I would recommend that you
- 14:09Speaker 8: do a spiritual cleansing on yourself because if it's following
- 14:12Speaker 8: you from one place to another, it's going to continue
- 14:16Speaker 8: to follow you until you release it. I will recommend
- 14:20Speaker 8: you that you also just allow yourself to release whatever
- 14:24Speaker 8: it is that you are attached to. It doesn't necessarily
- 14:27Speaker 8: mean that it's something bad, but it is connected to
- 14:30Speaker 8: you somehow. So I will actually think it may be
- 14:33Speaker 8: from your family line. So it will not surprise me
- 14:37Speaker 8: if somebody from your ancestry was also feeling something similar.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Oh, interesting. Very interesting.
- 14:44Speaker 4: So it's like a family curse.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Well, hopefully he didn't re-wake it by bringing it up.
- 14:47Speaker 5: Yeah, that would not be fun.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Let us know if it happens again.
- 14:51Speaker 16: Yeah, windows can be expensive.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:53Speaker 5: And if it does happen, that's how you know you
- 14:55Speaker 5: need that cleaning.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Javier, thanks for calling. We have Raymond on the line.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Did Raymond send us a picture also? He did? Okay,
- 15:02Speaker 3: good morning, Raymond.
- 15:04Speaker 18: Good morning.
- 15:05Speaker 3: What did you send us? What's your ghost story?
- 15:08Speaker 23: So about five, six years ago or so, my wife
- 15:11Speaker 23: had We had bought an address for my son off
- 15:14Speaker 23: Facebook Marketplace. So, you know, she sent it, painted it, whatnot.
- 15:17Speaker 13: So she was proud of it.
- 15:18Speaker 9: She took a picture of it.
- 15:19Speaker 23: A couple years later, my little daughter was messing with
- 15:23Speaker 23: her phone and found a picture and was, Mommy, who's
- 15:25Speaker 23: this little boy in the window? And you enlarge it,
- 15:28Speaker 23: and you see this little boy's face in the window.
- 15:31Speaker 23: There was nobody in that room at that time, and
- 15:34Speaker 23: we have no idea who this.
- 15:35Speaker 9: Little boy is.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Where's that picture? Is it on our Facebook? Where is it?
- 15:40Speaker 23: Yeah, I posted it on the Facebook page the other day.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Okay, I'm looking at it. If you go to John D.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Rich on Facebook, I'm looking for it. Do we send
- 15:46Speaker 3: it to Wendy? Does Wendy see it? Wendy, do you
- 15:48Speaker 3: see it?
- 15:49Speaker 17: I just received it.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 15:50Speaker 8: Yeah, I can see. I can definitely see a face here.
- 15:53Speaker 8: Is this your house?
- 15:55Speaker 23: Yes, that is in our basement.
- 15:58Speaker 8: Okay, have you seen it again or was it just
- 16:00Speaker 8: one time?
- 16:01Speaker 3: Oh, hell no.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Hell no.
- 16:02Speaker 9: I'm afraid to look.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I want to see. Where is it?
- 16:05Speaker 12: Hell no.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I don't want to look.
- 16:07Speaker 4: I don't want to get none on me.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I don't know what he's going to be like, Raymond,
- 16:09Speaker 3: get out of the house. Oh, hell no.
- 16:12Speaker 21: I mean, no.
- 16:13Speaker 16: That's for sure a little boy.
- 16:15Speaker 12: Look at this.
- 16:17Speaker 16: Oh, my.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 16:19Speaker 4: What do we have it posted?
- 16:20Speaker 3: And there was nobody there. If you go to John J.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Rich Facebook, and it's Raymond's post.
- 16:25Speaker 12: Oh, my gosh. It was probably his dresser.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Hell no, dude. Okay, I'm sorry. Go ahead, Wendy. Your
- 16:30Speaker 3: thoughts on that?
- 16:33Speaker 8: No, I was just going to say, if you saw
- 16:34Speaker 8: it one time, I don't think that you need to
- 16:37Speaker 8: worry about it too much. If you see it several times,
- 16:39Speaker 8: then you have a problem. Sometimes, spirits are just passing by.
- 16:43Speaker 5: They're just stopping in for a photo bomb.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Oh, this is a scary-looking spirit. This kid, I mean,
- 16:48Speaker 3: this is.
- 16:48Speaker 6: A hell of a.
- 16:49Speaker 16: A kid's like, why are you using my dresser?
- 16:51Speaker 23: Yeah, well, the year before we bought that house, the
- 16:55Speaker 23: previous owner did. unalive himself down there.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 17:00Speaker 5: But that was like a baby.
- 17:01Speaker 23: From other people I've talked to with this paranormal.
- 17:06Speaker 23: Yeah, some other people I've talked to with the paranormal stuff,
- 17:09Speaker 23: they have mentioned maybe it was him as a younger child.
- 17:12Speaker 23: So we did do some research and found some pictures
- 17:15Speaker 23: of that gentleman when he was little and it does
- 17:17Speaker 23: have a very.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Dang, dude. Get rid of that dresser.
- 17:22Speaker 15: Oh, my gosh.
- 17:23Speaker 4: That's why you got to buy stuff new whenever you can.
- 17:26Speaker 23: Yeah, that's what we do now. We don't buy nothing else.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I go to Ikea. All right.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Cleanse it before you bring it in.
- 17:33Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Oh, I guess that's good, too. Cleanse it.
- 17:35Speaker 8: Okay, here's what we do.
- 17:37Speaker 3: We're going to take a break. We got Wendy the
- 17:38Speaker 3: Witch on with us. You can tell us how to
- 17:40Speaker 3: cleanse it. We can tell us. Let's talk about curses,
- 17:43Speaker 3: and let's also find out what's going on with Kyle.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Some big stuff happened to Kyle.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, you definitely picked up, don't say what, but
- 17:49Speaker 4: you picked up something in Kyle's bathroom, right?
- 17:52Speaker 18: Yes.
- 17:52Speaker 3: All right, we're going to get all that and talk
- 17:54Speaker 3: to you next. 877-937-1047. We just want.
- 17:58Speaker 2: To hear from you, and I don't think that's too
- 18:00Speaker 2: much to ask, and.
- 18:01Speaker 1: It's really stressing me out that you're not calling.
- 18:05Speaker 3: 877-937-1047.
- 18:05Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 18:09Speaker 3: We have Wendy the Witch on the line. She's a
- 18:12Speaker 3: fifth-generation witch.
- 18:15Speaker 7: 877-937-1047.
- 18:16Speaker 3: You can ask her anything. Um, I got a text
- 18:20Speaker 3: about the pic, the picture on Facebook. And this person says,
- 18:23Speaker 3: you guys are lying. I'm on your Facebook. I don't
- 18:25Speaker 3: see pictures. There are, you, you scroll down and we
- 18:27Speaker 3: posted on October 19th. This is, you want to see,
- 18:29Speaker 3: we want to see your scariest ghost pictures. And there
- 18:31Speaker 3: are some of the freakiest pictures on here that are
- 18:34Speaker 3: so disturbing. Anyway, that's our Facebook. And we're going to
- 18:36Speaker 3: post them on Instagram too. So you can see them
- 18:38Speaker 3: on Instagram. They're on Instagram now. Okay, good. So good.
- 18:41Speaker 15: Good.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Go to John Jane, rich, go to Instagram. Um, Wendy,
- 18:45Speaker 3: good morning.
- 18:46Speaker 12: Hello.
- 18:47Speaker 3: For people that want to get a hold of you,
- 18:48Speaker 3: is there a website to reach out to you? Is
- 18:50Speaker 3: it wendythewitch.com?
- 18:53Speaker 8: No, but maybe I should buy that.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 3: What is it?
- 18:55Speaker 8: Bruja.us. B-R-U-J-A.us.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Okay. Let's get into Kyle's situation. Kyle, what was your situation?
- 19:03Speaker 16: So it was my son basically was freaked out to
- 19:07Speaker 16: sleep in his own room. And so one night I
- 19:10Speaker 16: actually was like, well, let's see what's so scary. And
- 19:12Speaker 16: I went in and I had an experience with what
- 19:14Speaker 16: I can only say was definitely a demon. And it
- 19:18Speaker 16: was like coming out of his bathroom. It was pretty terrifying, actually.
- 19:22Speaker 16: And so I was like, you don't have to sleep
- 19:23Speaker 16: in your room anymore.
- 19:25Speaker 4: And he hasn't since then.
- 19:26Speaker 3: No, he has not.
- 19:27Speaker 4: And so we sent a picture of Kyle's bathroom to Wendy.
- 19:31Speaker 8: So I do see something in this bathroom. I see
- 19:35Speaker 8: a very angry but also very sad male spirit. And
- 19:41Speaker 8: it doesn't feel like a spirit that was in the house.
- 19:44Speaker 8: It feels like a spirit that you guys picked from somewhere.
- 19:47Speaker 3: How do you do that?
- 19:49Speaker 16: And why would he be in my son's bathroom?
- 19:52Speaker 8: I don't necessarily think that it's because it's your son's bathroom.
- 19:55Speaker 8: It's because that space, that bathroom, feels like it's a
- 19:59Speaker 8: very stagnant space. Is there any windows in it?
- 20:02Speaker 1: No.
- 20:04Speaker 8: Yeah, so energy accumulates in the areas where there's no circulation.
- 20:08Speaker 15: Okay.
- 20:09Speaker 8: So my recommendation will be that you either bring some light,
- 20:13Speaker 8: I will burn some tobacco and some garlic in that space,
- 20:18Speaker 8: and I will ask that spirit to just get the
- 20:21Speaker 8: F out of your house.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Did you say, you said something to me in the
- 20:28Speaker 4: text when I sent you the picture that the ghost
- 20:30Speaker 4: wants their life. What does that mean?
- 20:33Speaker 8: So sometimes spirits are there because they're angry and sometimes
- 20:37Speaker 8: spirits are there because they lodge or they want the
- 20:40Speaker 8: life of the people living in spaces. So this feels
- 20:44Speaker 8: like it's somebody that wants to have your life in
- 20:47Speaker 8: a way. I am not necessarily saying that it's going
- 20:49Speaker 8: to take over your life, but some of the spirits,
- 20:53Speaker 8: they didn't live the life that they wanted. And when
- 20:56Speaker 8: they see a life they want, they can stay there
- 20:59Speaker 8: until you release them. That's how it feels to me
- 21:01Speaker 8: when I'm sitting in the picture.
- 21:02Speaker 5: I might do that when I die. I might want
- 21:04Speaker 5: to stake out in someone's nice life.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Kyle, how old is Easton?
- 21:08Speaker 5: He's nine.
- 21:09Speaker 3: He's nine. Is it better for Kyle to say, hey, ghost,
- 21:13Speaker 3: get the F out of my house, or should she
- 21:14Speaker 3: have her nine-year-old say it?
- 21:17Speaker 8: I think that her, as a mother, she'll bring all
- 21:20Speaker 8: the mama bear energy.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Oh, sorry, Easton.
- 21:23Speaker 5: No, I'm like making a family affair. Have everyone do it.
- 21:25Speaker 3: To have Kyle be like, okay, Easton, here's what I
- 21:27Speaker 3: need you to say. This is the one time you
- 21:30Speaker 3: have the right to say this as loud as you
- 21:32Speaker 3: can and point.
- 21:34Speaker 4: And more importantly, how does Kyle and her family keep
- 21:36Speaker 4: from anything attaching themselves to them when they're out and about?
- 21:39Speaker 8: So do you remember when did you get this? Is
- 21:41Speaker 8: it related to a hospital or cemetery or church? Because
- 21:44Speaker 8: usually those are the places that there's a lot of
- 21:46Speaker 8: attachments with.
- 21:47Speaker 16: I don't know because I'm not really sure like exactly.
- 21:50Speaker 16: I don't think I can pinpoint exactly when he started
- 21:53Speaker 16: getting like the nightmares. He's never really enjoyed sleeping in
- 21:56Speaker 16: his room.
- 21:57Speaker 3: You know, can I bring up something else that you
- 21:58Speaker 3: brought up in the past? Why don't you tell her
- 22:00Speaker 3: about what your daughter said when you passed the cemetery?
- 22:02Speaker 4: Oh, that's right.
- 22:03Speaker 16: But that was a lot.
- 22:04Speaker 8: That was a lot.
- 22:04Speaker 16: So my daughter was, I think, like, I think she
- 22:08Speaker 16: was four or five years old.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Were you in that house?
- 22:10Speaker 16: No, we were in a different house and we were
- 22:11Speaker 16: driving past a cemetery. She goes, look, mommy, that's where
- 22:14Speaker 16: you die. And I was like, oh, yeah, no, that
- 22:17Speaker 16: is where people go when they pass away. And she's like, no,
- 22:20Speaker 16: that's where you die.
- 22:21Speaker 10: I was like, okay.
- 22:25Speaker 8: Okay. Hey, kids are very, very sensitive when they see
- 22:28Speaker 8: things that we forgot to see. But I will recommend
- 22:31Speaker 8: that you do a closing in your house. But more
- 22:32Speaker 8: than anything, it feels like it's.
- 22:33Speaker 22: A situation of empowerment and sovereignty.
- 22:36Speaker 8: You have to go with that energy of you guys
- 22:38Speaker 8: are not allowed here. Thank you for coming and visiting,
- 22:39Speaker 8: but this is not the space. off, but I feel
- 22:43Speaker 8: like that's... You have to be aggressive, Kyle. Yeah, be aggressive.
- 22:49Speaker 8: And I'm going to say something. I don't know if
- 22:51Speaker 8: it fits or not.
- 22:51Speaker 4: I've never met you.
- 22:52Speaker 8: But usually these kind of encounters are a lesson for
- 22:56Speaker 8: us to tap into that energy. So it may be
- 22:59Speaker 8: that in your life, you may also be needing to
- 23:02Speaker 8: say this to people or to circumstances. So that this
- 23:06Speaker 8: is kind of like giving you the lesson. This is
- 23:08Speaker 8: the kind of energy that you need to have so
- 23:09Speaker 8: that you push away from your life the things that
- 23:11Speaker 8: you don't want.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Are you saying like a spiritual boundary? Kind of thing?
- 23:14Speaker 4: What are you saying?
- 23:15Speaker 3: Real people.
- 23:15Speaker 5: I was going to say, yeah, it's like translating to
- 23:17Speaker 5: real life.
- 23:18Speaker 8: It is translating to the real life. That's what I feel.
- 23:20Speaker 8: I've been wrong before, but that's what I feel when
- 23:23Speaker 8: I see the picture. It's one of those circumstances that
- 23:26Speaker 8: something in life is translating to your physical space. And
- 23:31Speaker 8: the thing is, that usually shows through our kids because
- 23:33Speaker 8: our kids are very sensitive and they haven't shut down
- 23:36Speaker 8: their spiritual senses yet. But you do have the opportunity
- 23:39Speaker 8: to remind your son that also he's allowed to tell
- 23:42Speaker 8: them to go. And I will just do something symbolic
- 23:46Speaker 8: in his room, like some sort of cleansing so that
- 23:49Speaker 8: he feels like you guys are taking action. But I
- 23:53Speaker 8: feel more like you are the one that has to
- 23:55Speaker 8: step into that energy of the warrior and be like, nope,
- 23:58Speaker 8: not anymore. It is here.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Not in my house. Does Easton like think that there's
- 24:02Speaker 5: a spirit in there? Or does he not know?
- 24:04Speaker 16: He used to call it a Bubba Bear.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Well, that sounds friendly.
- 24:08Speaker 5: That sounds like a good ghost. I saw Bubba Bear
- 24:09Speaker 5: in my bathroom again.
- 24:10Speaker 16: No, because he called it that because it was like
- 24:14Speaker 16: this character we saw on TV one time and it
- 24:16Speaker 16: was like a dark figure.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Makes sense.
- 24:20Speaker 3: There is a ghost in Easton's bathroom. An evil spirit.
- 24:24Speaker 16: Angry and sad, apparently.
- 24:26Speaker 5: And watch your life.
- 24:27Speaker 3: He's very constipated. Very constipated. Okay, Wendy. Wendy the Witch. Again,
- 24:33Speaker 3: what is the website? Bruja.us. Bruja.us, right?
- 24:36Speaker 19: Right.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Okay. Thank you for jumping on our show. You were awesome.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Really appreciate it.
- 24:41Speaker 8: Thank you so much.
- 24:42Speaker 16: It was a lot of fun.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Thank you, Wendy.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Have an idea for the show? Today is your day.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Use the iHeartRadio app and talk back to us right now.
- 24:51Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 24:53Speaker 3: We're going to get into who has had a job
- 24:56Speaker 3: for the least amount of time. 877-937- 104.7. We got
- 25:02Speaker 3: tickets to Wicked Well. We got tickets to Public Enemy
- 25:04Speaker 3: for you. Who's had a job that's short amount of time?
- 25:06Speaker 3: And I say that because I saw on the news
- 25:08Speaker 3: like last week that the White House hired a new
- 25:10Speaker 3: press secretary. And then I saw that she's gone already.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Five days.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Five days. And I so don't understand and don't need
- 25:17Speaker 3: to get into it. Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Not for us.
- 25:19Speaker 3: I'm just so curious, too. It's five days.
- 25:22Speaker 18: Wow.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Five days. And I mean, it's not like she had
- 25:25Speaker 3: a job at Wendy's. It's a big one.
- 25:28Speaker 4: And I assume she relocated her family to do that.
- 25:31Speaker 3: I had a friend of mine, he took a job
- 25:33Speaker 3: in radio at a Dallas radio station. He loaded up
- 25:36Speaker 3: his U-Haul, loaded with everything, moved into an apartment, and
- 25:40Speaker 3: then got fired a week later.
- 25:42Speaker 12: Oh, my gosh.
- 25:43Speaker 16: That would be rough.
- 25:45Speaker 3: He jokes and says he took a vacation with furniture.
- 25:48Speaker 5: Oh, my goodness. I feel like a lot of professional
- 25:50Speaker 5: athletes run into situations like that where they get signed
- 25:53Speaker 5: to a team and then maybe get dropped or whatever
- 25:56Speaker 5: a week or so later, and they pack up their wife,
- 25:58Speaker 5: their kids, everyone. I'm like, that sucks.
- 26:01Speaker 12: Yeah, it does.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Christopher, good morning.
- 26:04Speaker 27: Morning.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Did you have a job for a short amount of time?
- 26:07Speaker 13: I did. I worked at a jack-in-the-box for like maybe
- 26:11Speaker 13: 20 minutes.
- 26:13Speaker 16: That's really short. What happened?
- 26:16Speaker 4: Maybe 20 minutes.
- 26:17Speaker 13: Well, I went in and they said, okay, you're going
- 26:21Speaker 13: to clean the grease traps. And I was like, okay.
- 26:24Speaker 13: And then they gave me like one of those little porters.
- 26:27Speaker 13: And they said, go out and sweep the parking lot,
- 26:30Speaker 13: and I was just like, yeah, that's not going to happen.
- 26:34Speaker 13: So I just went out, left the porter in the
- 26:37Speaker 13: parking lot, and just kept walking.
- 26:40Speaker 3: All right, so that was 20 minutes.
- 26:42Speaker 4: Now, I'm wondering, what do you do now? What's your
- 26:45Speaker 4: gig now?
- 26:47Speaker 13: I was working with the Arizona Office of Tourism.
- 26:52Speaker 3: What's going on there? What's going on with tourism in Arizona?
- 26:54Speaker 3: Where do you tell people to go? Grand Canyon? Grand Canyon?
- 26:58Speaker 13: Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Tombstone.
- 27:02Speaker 4: All the canyons.
- 27:03Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Tombstone, Antelope Canyon. I don't think I've been there.
- 27:05Speaker 13: Surprisingly, what I have to tell people, and this is
- 27:08Speaker 13: really weird, is if they go to the reservation, not
- 27:12Speaker 13: to walk into people's houses without asking or being invited in.
- 27:16Speaker 15: Hmm.
- 27:16Speaker 5: I think that would be like the obvious thing to do.
- 27:19Speaker 16: Is that like a common mistake people are making?
- 27:21Speaker 4: What's going on there?
- 27:22Speaker 5: Why are people walking into houses uninvited?
- 27:25Speaker 13: I don't know. You know, the doors are open and
- 27:26Speaker 13: they just kind of, oh, I'm going in, I'm taking pictures.
- 27:29Speaker 26: What?
- 27:31Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Interesting. That's bizarre.
- 27:34Speaker 12: Yep.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Melissa, we're looking to see who's had the shortest job ever.
- 27:38Speaker 3: And 877-937-1047, what was yours?
- 27:42Speaker 10: I worked at McDonald's for three days. It won't be
- 27:44Speaker 10: 20 minutes, but three days.
- 27:46Speaker 8: I went on vacation with my parents at the time
- 27:48Speaker 8: and I stepped on a nail and I came back
- 27:50Speaker 8: and I couldn't walk.
- 27:51Speaker 13: So that was my excuse.
- 27:53Speaker 10: So I kind of quit.
- 27:54Speaker 21: But I was on the payroll for a month.
- 27:57Speaker 3: You mean like you kept getting paid?
- 27:59Speaker 6: No, well.
- 28:00Speaker 4: So you were on the payroll and you just didn't
- 28:01Speaker 4: clock in. So you didn't get paid.
- 28:03Speaker 6: Exactly, yes.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Oh, gotcha.
- 28:05Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 28:05Speaker 3: All right, well, thank you, Melissa.
- 28:07Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 28:08Speaker 4: 20 minutes is our record, though, so far. That's pretty strong.
- 28:10Speaker 5: It's impressive.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. 877-9... Oh, Dylan. Yes, Dylan.
- 28:16Speaker 28: I worked at... Rails is not my first retail escapade, actually.
- 28:19Speaker 28: I worked at Anthropologie for one shift. Fun fact.
- 28:22Speaker 3: When was that?
- 28:23Speaker 28: So it was senior year of college. My friend got
- 28:27Speaker 28: me the job, and I didn't realize it was seasonal.
- 28:29Speaker 28: So I went in for one shift, and then they
- 28:30Speaker 28: were like, can you work on Christmas Day? And I
- 28:32Speaker 28: was like, wait, no, I can't. And they were like, okay, well,
- 28:34Speaker 28: we don't need you anymore.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Got fired on the first day.
- 28:38Speaker 28: I did, but it was fun. It was a fun
- 28:41Speaker 28: one day.
- 28:41Speaker 4: I'm surprised they are open on Christmas Day.
- 28:44Speaker 8: I know, the mall?
- 28:45Speaker 28: They want to get, you know, all the dollars they can,
- 28:48Speaker 28: I guess.
- 28:48Speaker 4: All the returns, maybe.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Well, no, you think about the people that don't celebrate Christmas.
- 28:52Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 3: They want to shop, too.
- 28:53Speaker 16: Or the people that get gift cards in the morning
- 28:55Speaker 16: and then want to go out and buy them.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Dylan, you want to go see Public Enemy? Oh, my God,
- 29:01Speaker 3: I would love to. That's a pretty good one right there.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Good call. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Charles, you have a short job?
- 29:06Speaker 21: I think I have the shortest job time ever.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:09Speaker 21: I actually did security, and so I drove all the
- 29:13Speaker 21: way to a site, which my site supervisor then told me,
- 29:18Speaker 21: You are 40 miles from anything, and all I had
- 29:21Speaker 21: to do was guard an open electric box. And as
- 29:25Speaker 21: soon as he told me, I was there for like
- 29:26Speaker 21: two minutes, and then I went home because I was
- 29:28Speaker 21: not doing that.
- 29:29Speaker 4: You didn't want to guard an electric box?
- 29:32Speaker 21: No, in the middle of the night, absolutely not. There
- 29:34Speaker 21: were no lights around me. There was nothing for 40 miles,
- 29:37Speaker 21: and I was not going to sit there by myself.
- 29:40Speaker 21: for 12 hours.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Well, I mean, it does sound like a pretty easy gig.
- 29:42Speaker 4: How many people are going to attack an electric box
- 29:45Speaker 4: in the middle of nowhere?
- 29:46Speaker 5: Or going to attack the guard and axe murderer who's
- 29:48Speaker 5: just waiting for his next victim?
- 29:50Speaker 3: Maybe there's people that want that box.
- 29:52Speaker 5: I'm with you.
- 29:53Speaker 21: There were coyotes and scorpions and rattlesnakes and people were
- 29:58Speaker 21: known for Getting dragged off by coyotes.
- 30:01Speaker 5: Yeah. I'm with you, Charles.
- 30:04Speaker 4: People were dragged off by coyotes.
- 30:06Speaker 8: People.
- 30:07Speaker 16: Okay, well, I guess I'd probably only want to be
- 30:10Speaker 16: there for two minutes or two.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I'm not judging you. I think that's fine. Two minutes.
- 30:13Speaker 3: I don't want to be in the dark.
- 30:14Speaker 13: No.
- 30:14Speaker 3: I'm with you, brother. Hold on. Courtney. Courtney, good morning.
- 30:18Speaker 3: How long did you have a job for?
- 30:19Speaker 8: I worked at EG's in Tucson up on Oracle.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 20: First day, this was back when, you know, they didn't
- 30:26Speaker 20: have the prepackaged ranch.
- 30:27Speaker 8: So it's my first day going in, and they made
- 30:29Speaker 8: me put ranch in the little containers for four whole hours.
- 30:33Speaker 6: And I was like, I am not doing this again.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Right off McGee, Oracle of McGee. That's where the Gee-Gees is, right?
- 30:40Speaker 13: Yes, yes.
- 30:41Speaker 4: I know it very well.
- 30:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Haven, good morning.
- 30:44Speaker 24: So I think I have the shortest job ever. Like
- 30:47Speaker 24: a couple of years ago, Amazon was doing like a
- 30:50Speaker 24: promotion for like a bonus. So if you worked there
- 30:54Speaker 24: for three months, you got like $ 1, 000 or something like that. Well,
- 30:57Speaker 24: I signed up and I went to like the orientation
- 31:00Speaker 24: and whatnot, but I never actually worked a shift and
- 31:03Speaker 24: still ended up getting like $ 600 from the first portion
- 31:06Speaker 24: of the bonus.
- 31:07Speaker 4: So just the orientation. That's all you attended.
- 31:10Speaker 12: Yep.
- 31:11Speaker 3: You don't have to work at all. That is the
- 31:13Speaker 3: shortest job.
- 31:14Speaker 24: I don't know how, but they did.
- 31:16Speaker 16: Doesn't really sound like a good business model for them.
- 31:18Speaker 3: All right. Thanks, Haven. Thanks for calling in. Hey, Bree.
- 31:22Speaker 29: I worked at Great Clips for four days. I just
- 31:26Speaker 29: graduated cosmetology school, and they just basically were like, all right,
- 31:29Speaker 29: go cut hair. And I didn't really know how to
- 31:32Speaker 29: cut hair that well because.
- 31:33Speaker 14: I was practicing on mannequins. And so I just kept
- 31:36Speaker 14: ruining people's hair. And they're like, it's fine. You just
- 31:38Speaker 14: learn while practicing. And it freaked me out, and so
- 31:43Speaker 14: I never went back.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Do you cut hair now?
- 31:47Speaker 14: No, I actually work in the ER now.
- 31:49Speaker 5: What?
- 31:49Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 31:50Speaker 1: What a shift.
- 31:50Speaker 3: You're working on the people who you cut?
- 31:54Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 31:55Speaker 3: What do you do in the ER room? Are you
- 31:57Speaker 3: a nurse? Doctor?
- 31:58Speaker 14: I'm a tech. So I do, like, I help with
- 32:02Speaker 14: the nurses and the doctors and stuff like that.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Right on, Bree. Well, I'm glad you called in. Thanks
- 32:05Speaker 3: for listening.
- 32:06Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Hi, Erica.
- 32:10Speaker 28: Hi.
- 32:11Speaker 12: Hi.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Did you have a job for a short amount of time?
- 32:13Speaker 22: My worst and shortest job ever was at Select Carpet
- 32:17Speaker 22: and Air Deck Cleaning. And I had a highlighter and
- 32:22Speaker 22: a white pages directory. And they said, welcome to the job.
- 32:27Speaker 22: Go ahead and start with the letter F. And I
- 32:30Speaker 22: just had to call, like, hello, I'm there to a
- 32:32Speaker 22: Select Carpet and Air Deck Cleaning.
- 32:34Speaker 16: It was terrible.
- 32:35Speaker 22: And I just had to go one phone number at
- 32:38Speaker 22: a time, just use my highlighter and cross off who
- 32:40Speaker 22: I had already called.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Just called random people out of the book to ask
- 32:44Speaker 3: them to sign up with the deluxe carpeting?
- 32:47Speaker 26: Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 22: I was like, would you like your carpet cleaned or
- 32:50Speaker 22: your air decks cleaned? The dude walked around with like
- 32:53Speaker 22: five and $ 10 bills.
- 32:54Speaker 24: In his back pocket.
- 32:55Speaker 22: And he like, make sure that they poked through so
- 32:58Speaker 22: that we could see them. And they're like, if you
- 33:00Speaker 22: get a booking, I'm going to instantly give you $ 5.
- 33:02Speaker 22: So you're not making $ 7 an hour. You're making 12.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Are they still around?
- 33:09Speaker 22: No, it was like this tiny little hole-in-the-wall place in
- 33:13Speaker 22: Mesa where I grew up.
- 33:14Speaker 4: That's direct marketing.
- 33:15Speaker 5: Yeah, well, it's cold calling. There's a ton of those
- 33:17Speaker 5: sales gigs like that. Yeah, and they're brutal.
- 33:21Speaker 22: It was just a phone, a highlighter, a cubicle, and
- 33:25Speaker 22: the white pages.
- 33:26Speaker 18: That's it.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Jessica, you started at F. That means other people had
- 33:28Speaker 3: got all the way through to F, calling every single
- 33:31Speaker 3: name in that book.
- 33:32Speaker 8: Yeah, I know.
- 33:33Speaker 11: There were people making good money.
- 33:35Speaker 22: There were some big ballers that got 20.
- 33:37Speaker 12: Really?
- 33:37Speaker 4: They had a high closing rate? That's pretty impressive.
- 33:41Speaker 22: It was awful.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Well, thanks, Erica.
- 33:44Speaker 22: It lasted five days.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Thanks for calling in five days. Thank you. I'm so
- 33:49Speaker 3: glad you're here.
- 33:50Speaker 1: As the person who currently occupies your attention, I would
- 33:53Speaker 1: like to thank you for listening to John Jane Rich.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Every year for the many, many years, we've done the
- 34:00Speaker 3: John Jane Rich Chainsaw Show. Massacre, wake up, or we
- 34:04Speaker 3: sneak into someone's house with a chainsaw.
- 34:19Speaker 19: Somebody wants to talk to you.
- 34:24Speaker 18: Oh, my God.
- 34:25Speaker 1: This is so awesome.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Fire alarms going off.
- 34:30Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 18: Oh, my God.
- 34:31Speaker 19: This is so awesome.
- 34:33Speaker 12: You look way.
- 34:34Speaker 22: Scarier than I thought.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Have a great Halloween.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Happy Halloween, guys.
- 34:40Speaker 3: We're doing something a little different this year because of
- 34:42Speaker 3: the hit movie Obsession.
- 34:44Speaker 4: That's right, and nobody's scarier than Nikki. Scarier than a chainsaw.
- 34:47Speaker 3: And the thing is that she would, like, what, get
- 34:50Speaker 3: up in this person? I never saw the movie.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Stare at her boyfriend when he was sleeping and wait
- 34:53Speaker 4: for him to wake up and be right on his
- 34:55Speaker 4: face and, you know, just say cringey things to him.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Scare him half to death.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Nikki? What are you doing?
- 35:02Speaker 6: Watching you sleep.
- 35:05Speaker 25: You're so cute when you sleep.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Can you come back to bed?
- 35:08Speaker 17: No.
- 35:10Speaker 12: No.
- 35:16Speaker 27: I feel like you don't love me as much as
- 35:19Speaker 27: I do. Like it's not mutual.
- 35:27Speaker 8: No, I do.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Just come back to bed. Please.
- 35:32Speaker 15: Please.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Okay, so Brianna's online because she wants us to do
- 35:46Speaker 3: that to her boyfriend, but we're trying to do something.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Dylan is with Brianna right now, and Dylan is going
- 35:50Speaker 3: to be the person that does all the crazy stuff.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Good morning, Brianna.
- 35:54Speaker 22: Good morning, you guys.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Tell us a little bit about the situation with your boyfriend,
- 35:58Speaker 3: and I know it's early, early, early morning. Right now
- 36:00Speaker 3: it's dark. He's sleeping, right?
- 36:02Speaker 24: Oh, my God.
- 36:03Speaker 10: I'm so excited. Yeah, my boyfriend is, like, literally impossible
- 36:06Speaker 10: to wake up. I can yell at him, shake him,
- 36:09Speaker 10: turn all the lights on and off. He does not
- 36:11Speaker 10: get out of bed. I don't get it. So I
- 36:14Speaker 10: wanted to prank him and recreate that scene, yeah, where Nicky, like,
- 36:18Speaker 10: gets right up in his face, like you were saying,
- 36:20Speaker 10: and keeps saying, like, wake up. He's literally going to
- 36:23Speaker 10: lose his mind. Yeah, he's dead asleep right now. He
- 36:26Speaker 10: has no idea what's going on.
- 36:27Speaker 4: But he's seen Obsession. So was he freaked out by
- 36:30Speaker 4: that at all, like I was, where I didn't sleep
- 36:32Speaker 4: for three straight nights?
- 36:34Speaker 10: I don't think I've ever seen him so scared coming
- 36:36Speaker 10: out of a horror movie.
- 36:37Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Well, I'll tell you guys. Yesterday, I was watching Dylan
- 36:42Speaker 3: practice her face. I'm telling you.
- 36:45Speaker 4: It's really good.
- 36:46Speaker 3: If you don't know her and you wake up with
- 36:48Speaker 3: that face next to you. So, Dylan, are you ready
- 36:51Speaker 3: to walk in the house and go do it?
- 36:53Speaker 13: I'm here.
- 36:53Speaker 9: I'm just like Nikki.
- 36:54Speaker 10: I'm ready to scare.
- 36:56Speaker 13: Okay.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Now, listen. This is the first time you're doing something
- 36:58Speaker 3: like this for us. So, you need to be quiet.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Quiet and whisper and crawl in. You're going to like,
- 37:05Speaker 3: so Brianna, you're going to walk her in and then
- 37:07Speaker 3: I just want you to walk us through it slowly. Okay.
- 37:11Speaker 15: Okay.
- 37:12Speaker 3: We're going in.
- 37:12Speaker 13: All right.
- 37:13Speaker 6: Come.
- 37:13Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 37:14Speaker 10: Follow me this way.
- 37:15Speaker 12: Come this way.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 37:17Speaker 6: We're going down this hallway.
- 37:20Speaker 8: Okay.
- 37:22Speaker 10: He's completely asleep.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 37:25Speaker 11: I'm trying not to laugh.
- 37:27Speaker 18: Okay.
- 37:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Are you in position? Dylan?
- 37:31Speaker 13: The cover's right now.
- 37:33Speaker 16: Oh, my gosh.
- 37:34Speaker 5: Not under the cover.
- 37:37Speaker 8: Under the cover.
- 37:38Speaker 26: Okay, I'm going to start. I'm going to start.
- 37:40Speaker 17: Okay, ready?
- 37:40Speaker 13: Okay.
- 37:42Speaker 8: Wake up. Wake up.
- 37:44Speaker 29: Wake up.
- 37:45Speaker 18: Wake up.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Wake up.
- 37:47Speaker 18: Wake up.
- 37:48Speaker 8: Wake up.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Wake up.
- 37:49Speaker 24: Wake up. Wake up.
- 37:50Speaker 28: Wake up.
- 37:51Speaker 18: Wake up. Wake up.
- 37:52Speaker 19: Wake up.
- 37:53Speaker 15: Wake up.
- 37:53Speaker 12: Wake up.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Wake up.
- 37:59Speaker 16: Wake up!
- 38:00Speaker 8: Wake up! Wake up!
- 38:02Speaker 19: Wake up!
- 38:03Speaker 14: Wake up!
- 38:03Speaker 28: Wake up!
- 38:04Speaker 19: Wake up!
- 38:04Speaker 15: Wake up! Wake up!
- 38:05Speaker 12: Wake up!
- 38:05Speaker 20: Wake up!
- 38:06Speaker 28: Wake up!
- 38:07Speaker 10: Wake up!
- 38:09Speaker 17: Wake up!
- 38:09Speaker 6: Wake up!
- 38:11Speaker 13: Wake up!
- 38:11Speaker 6: Wake up!
- 38:12Speaker 26: Wake up!
- 38:14Speaker 19: Wake up!
- 38:15Speaker 22: Wake up!
- 38:15Speaker 6: Wake up!
- 38:28Speaker 8: Wake up.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Are you awake? Don't forget to tell him how much
- 38:32Speaker 4: you love him. Chris, you're on the radio. Help him out.
- 38:37Speaker 5: Are you okay?
- 38:39Speaker 15: What?
- 38:40Speaker 3: Hand Chris the phone.
- 38:42Speaker 13: What is what?
- 38:43Speaker 3: Chris. Yeah, Chris, you're on the radio. John Jay and Richie,
- 38:47Speaker 3: that's Dylan, and she does have a freaky face.
- 38:49Speaker 5: I know she does. Yes, she does.
- 38:51Speaker 3: When you see her make this face, when you see,
- 38:54Speaker 3: hold on a minute.
- 38:54Speaker 16: I gotta see the face.
- 38:55Speaker 3: When you see the face she makes, trust me, trust me,
- 38:58Speaker 3: it's creepy.
- 39:00Speaker 13: Babe, are you kidding?
- 39:01Speaker 4: What the f * * *?
- 39:03Speaker 5: He's scared, okay?
- 39:05Speaker 8: He's like, who is this person?
- 39:06Speaker 15: I'm dying.
- 39:07Speaker 8: Why would you do that?
- 39:11Speaker 10: I literally never wake up.
- 39:13Speaker 5: Oh, my God. I'm dead.
- 39:14Speaker 8: I can't.
- 39:16Speaker 10: It was obviously a prank.
- 39:20Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 39:22Speaker 23: I've never been this scared in my whole life.
- 39:25Speaker 26: What the f * * * is your problem?
- 39:27Speaker 4: I saw a little tribute to the movie Obsession.
- 39:31Speaker 5: That was good. Good job, Dill. You crushed it.
- 39:34Speaker 13: I'm shaking.
- 39:34Speaker 23: I'm literally shaking.
- 39:36Speaker 6: I know.
- 39:43Speaker 3: That was awesome. Brianna, that was awesome. Dylan, would you
- 39:47Speaker 3: take us out by telling us to wake up? Wake up,
- 39:50Speaker 3: wake up, John Jay and Rich.
- 39:52Speaker 13: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
- 39:54Speaker 8: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> If.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Chaos was a radio show, you're listening to it.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 40:01Speaker 25: Oh, no.
- 40:03Speaker 12: What?
- 40:04Speaker 16: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 40:11Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I started doing something a couple weeks ago on my
- 40:17Speaker 3: own because I'm all into longevity.
- 40:19Speaker 16: Yes, you like the biohacking life.
- 40:21Speaker 3: I like the biohacking life. I saw this thing with
- 40:24Speaker 3: Andrew Huberman. He was talking about sometimes when you can't sleep,
- 40:27Speaker 3: there's certain things you can do when you lay in bed,
- 40:29Speaker 3: and then it's like to move your eyes as far
- 40:31Speaker 3: to the right as you can, as far to the
- 40:33Speaker 3: left as you can, and then in circles, and then
- 40:36Speaker 3: cross your eyes and it's supposed to help your eyes
- 40:38Speaker 3: relax so you can go to sleep. Well, I saw
- 40:40Speaker 3: this other thing where they do this thing in this
- 40:42Speaker 3: Japanese culture and I learned about it about three weeks
- 40:45Speaker 3: ago and I do it now all the time when
- 40:48Speaker 3: I got nothing going on. I look at what I'm
- 40:50Speaker 3: thinking and Kyle, you kind of caught me doing it.
- 40:54Speaker 3: What was I doing? You do that weird thing with
- 40:56Speaker 3: your mouth?
- 40:57Speaker 1: With your eyes?
- 40:58Speaker 3: What was I doing?
- 40:58Speaker 16: You were like, had your mouth kind of like your
- 41:00Speaker 16: tongue sort of singing like, like what?
- 41:03Speaker 3: So what they say they do in Japanese, in Japan
- 41:05Speaker 3: is You stick your tongue out like this. It's like exercise.
- 41:09Speaker 3: You push it with your tongue. You're like this.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Like a lizard.
- 41:14Speaker 3: But longer. You hold it out for lizards. You're like.
- 41:18Speaker 4: I've seen that on TV.
- 41:20Speaker 3: You stretch your tongue out so you feel it being
- 41:22Speaker 3: pulled right here. So you're like.
- 41:24Speaker 12: Ow.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but I've been doing it a lot lately, and
- 41:27Speaker 3: I like it.
- 41:27Speaker 16: It looks strange.
- 41:28Speaker 3: It does. I did it. I was on the treadmill
- 41:30Speaker 3: this morning, and there's a mirror in front of me.
- 41:31Speaker 3: I do it on the treadmill all the time, and
- 41:33Speaker 3: I stare at myself.
- 41:35Speaker 5: I thought you were talking about the thing you do
- 41:36Speaker 5: with your eyes.
- 41:37Speaker 16: You have a very pointy tongue.
- 41:40Speaker 3: I think I'm getting stronger. I think we used to
- 41:42Speaker 3: not be pointy. Look at your little tongue.
- 41:45Speaker 4: You have a pointy one, too.
- 41:46Speaker 3: No, you're not doing it.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Oh, and you stick it out that way.
- 41:47Speaker 5: I feel like that's what happens.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh, your tongue's so little. You're not doing it.
- 41:52Speaker 3: That's not how you do it. You're doing it wrong.
- 41:55Speaker 3: How do we do it? You're sticking your tongue out
- 41:56Speaker 3: like you do with someone making a face.
- 41:58Speaker 6: No.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Keep your mouth open. Now stick your tongue out. Straight out.
- 42:02Speaker 12: I don't like that.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Straight out. Not down. Straight out. By the way, did
- 42:07Speaker 3: I make a weird noise? No, I did not. I
- 42:09Speaker 3: stick your tongue out.
- 42:11Speaker 5: It's hard not to make a noise.
- 42:14Speaker 3: You guys are like this.
- 42:16Speaker 12: No.
- 42:16Speaker 5: Open your mouth.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Stick your tongue out straight. No, yours is curving it.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Yours is like a wave up.
- 42:21Speaker 28: Straight.
- 42:21Speaker 23: Straight.
- 42:23Speaker 12: I can't.
- 42:23Speaker 3: And then do it like 10 times. It's weird. I
- 42:30Speaker 3: don't like it. Do that again. Do it again. Now
- 42:33Speaker 3: you're doing it like you're- When you.
- 42:34Speaker 5: Do it fast, it's hard to keep it straight.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Straight.
- 42:37Speaker 16: It's stupid.
- 42:39Speaker 5: What is it supposed to do again?
- 42:41Speaker 3: It's make you live a long time.
- 42:42Speaker 16: It is?
- 42:43Speaker 12: Yes.
- 42:43Speaker 16: What's the logic behind it?
- 42:44Speaker 3: You've got to do it right. Not like this.
- 42:47Speaker 13: Sorry.
- 42:47Speaker 15: Sorry.
- 42:50Speaker 8: Okay.
- 42:50Speaker 16: Is there some sort of connection between a strong tongue
- 42:53Speaker 16: and a long life?
- 42:54Speaker 3: I just read the headline and kept going.
- 42:59Speaker 15: Okay.
- 42:59Speaker 3: I don't know if I Googled it.
- 43:01Speaker 4: Google it.
- 43:01Speaker 3: It's so good, John Jay. I've been doing it for
- 43:06Speaker 3: like three weeks, and I feel like my tongue got stronger.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Like when you say the point is pointy, I think
- 43:11Speaker 3: that's the muscles in my tongue.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Like you could lick the shit out of an ice
- 43:13Speaker 4: cream cone.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Oh, whoa. I was doing a break on
- 43:17Speaker 3: the air. This whole thing was on the air. I
- 43:20Speaker 3: might have to bleep Rich out now.
- 43:21Speaker 12: Sorry.
- 43:21Speaker 4: I thought you were just talking.
- 43:23Speaker 3: No. Oh, yes.
- 43:26Speaker 12: Okay.
- 43:26Speaker 3: What's it say?
- 43:28Speaker 16: It's the AIUB exercise.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Okay.
- 43:31Speaker 16: It is a popular Japanese oral and facial workout created
- 43:34Speaker 16: by Dr. Takashi Imai to strengthen tongue and throat muscles,
- 43:40Speaker 16: reduce mouth breathing, and lower aspiration risks that can affect
- 43:44Speaker 16: health later on in life.
- 43:45Speaker 3: See? That's what I've been doing.
- 43:48Speaker 16: It improves swallowing, reduces aspiration pneumonia, encourages nasal breathing.
- 43:53Speaker 3: See? I've been doing all that. Now you guys can
- 43:55Speaker 3: do it too.
- 43:56Speaker 4: Thanks for that.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Whenever you got nothing going on, just stick the tongue out.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Do some tongue-ups.
- 44:00Speaker 9: Tongue-ups.
- 44:00Speaker 3: All right.
- 44:01Speaker 12: Okay.
- 44:01Speaker 3: That's how you live long. Thank you, John Jay. You're welcome.
- 44:04Speaker 1: The next segment we're going to do is called Second
- 44:07Speaker 1: Date Update because that's what we're going to try.
- 44:09Speaker 2: And get, and that's what the bit is called. Second
- 44:12Speaker 2: Date Update starts right now on John Jay and Rich.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Time for a second date update. You meet somebody. You
- 44:17Speaker 3: go out on a date. You have a great time.
- 44:18Speaker 3: You expect there to be a second date. It doesn't happen.
- 44:21Speaker 3: You talk to your friends and family. They can't give
- 44:23Speaker 3: you the answers you want, so you come to us.
- 44:25Speaker 3: We're going to hear your story. We're going to call
- 44:26Speaker 3: the person blowing you off. Let's say hello to Derek.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Good morning, Derek.
- 44:30Speaker 7: I already know this is going to sound bad, but
- 44:31Speaker 7: I promise I have a legitimate explanation.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Okay, let's hear it.
- 44:35Speaker 7: I went out with this girl, Riley, and we had
- 44:36Speaker 7: an amazing time. Like, dinner was great. The chemistry was there.
- 44:39Speaker 7: We were laughing all night. And, you know, I ended
- 44:42Speaker 7: up going back to her place. One thing led to another.
- 44:44Speaker 7: I ended up spending the night. Well, kind of because
- 44:47Speaker 7: like around three in the morning, I woke up like
- 44:50Speaker 7: the worst stomach of my entire life.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Worst stomach. I can tell you're nervous. And I know
- 44:55Speaker 3: that Dylan, our phone screener, she did a great job.
- 44:57Speaker 3: She told you to get to it because it's probably
- 44:59Speaker 3: a really long story. But I want you to take
- 45:01Speaker 3: your time. Talk to us, Derek. Don't stress. So you
- 45:04Speaker 3: met this girl. The one thing led to another and
- 45:06Speaker 3: you end up sleeping at her. You end up getting
- 45:08Speaker 3: intimate with her.
- 45:10Speaker 18: Yeah, like it was a great night.
- 45:11Speaker 7: We had a great time.
- 45:12Speaker 3: And then what happened to your stomach when you said
- 45:13Speaker 3: you had the worst stomach? Stomach what? Stomach ache?
- 45:15Speaker 13: I don't know, man.
- 45:16Speaker 7: I woke up at like 3 and I had this
- 45:18Speaker 7: really bad stomach ache. I've never had anything in my life.
- 45:21Speaker 3: Okay, now go on. So you had a stomach ache,
- 45:24Speaker 3: and then what?
- 45:25Speaker 7: I panicked, I grabbed my stuff, and I left while
- 45:27Speaker 7: she was sleeping.
- 45:29Speaker 5: So that's where you think you went wrong.
- 45:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 7: Well, I know how bad that looks, right? I genuinely
- 45:34Speaker 7: wasn't trying to sneak out on her, but... I texted
- 45:37Speaker 7: her when I got home explaining everything, apologized like a
- 45:39Speaker 7: million times, and I've gotten absolutely nothing back from her.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Put yourself in a situation, first of all, because your
- 45:45Speaker 3: stomach hurts. You're not going to go blow out her toilet.
- 45:47Speaker 3: You want to get the hell out of there.
- 45:49Speaker 16: At least you texted her explaining things.
- 45:53Speaker 7: I actually really like this girl. I don't want to
- 45:55Speaker 7: think I just used her for a hookup. I'd love
- 45:57Speaker 7: to see her again. But at this point, I don't
- 45:59Speaker 7: even know if she'll talk to me. So I'm calling
- 46:00Speaker 7: you guys to see if you can help me explain.
- 46:02Speaker 4: I mean, we could definitely help patch that up because
- 46:04Speaker 4: I imagine what you're saying is the reason she's not
- 46:08Speaker 4: getting back to you. And if you have us on
- 46:10Speaker 4: your side, then maybe she'll see things in a different light.
- 46:13Speaker 6: Right.
- 46:13Speaker 5: It's like you have the ability to hook up with me,
- 46:16Speaker 5: but you don't have the ability to just like turn
- 46:18Speaker 5: and shake me and say, hey, I got to head out.
- 46:20Speaker 5: My stomach hurts. Like, I can understand where she's coming from,
- 46:23Speaker 5: but she probably does want that explanation. She probably saw
- 46:25Speaker 5: your text and was like, screw this dude.
- 46:28Speaker 16: You, like, left something really weird behind.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Like stomach residue?
- 46:32Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 46:32Speaker 12: Oh, God.
- 46:33Speaker 5: I wasn't thinking that, but, yeah, I mean, that would
- 46:36Speaker 5: be worse.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Quite honestly, I hate to put this out here, Derek,
- 46:40Speaker 4: but maybe your lovemaking just wasn't on par.
- 46:42Speaker 5: That is always you, Rich. That's what you always go to.
- 46:45Speaker 4: I mean, maybe she just barely was tolerating her clumsy,
- 46:49Speaker 4: drooling lunges.
- 46:50Speaker 18: I think I did a pretty good job.
- 46:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Pretty good. It was pretty good.
- 46:55Speaker 3: All right, dude. So here's what we'll do. We'll call her,
- 46:57Speaker 3: let her tell the story, let her see what she
- 46:59Speaker 3: has to say. Maybe she's, you know, not mad at
- 47:03Speaker 3: you for that. Maybe she's mad at you for something else.
- 47:05Speaker 16: Maybe she's got the stomach ache now and can't respond.
- 47:08Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 47:08Speaker 4: Or you're a selfish lover.
- 47:10Speaker 18: All right.
- 47:10Speaker 3: So her name's Riley. We're going to get Riley on
- 47:12Speaker 3: the phone. We're going to find out why she's blowing
- 47:13Speaker 3: you off. All right, Derek. I really appreciate your help.
- 47:16Speaker 3: You got it. So you hang tight. Let us get
- 47:18Speaker 3: her on the phone. Hold on a second. All right.
- 47:19Speaker 3: All right. Second date update continues next. John Jay and Rich.
- 47:22Speaker 2: We just want to hear from you. And I don't
- 47:24Speaker 2: think that's too much to ask. And it's really stressing
- 47:26Speaker 2: me out that you're not calling.
- 47:28Speaker 19: 877-937-1047.
- 47:29Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich. All right.
- 47:34Speaker 3: We are in the middle of second date update. You've
- 47:36Speaker 3: got Derek and Riley.
- 47:37Speaker 4: Well, there was magic on this date, according to Derek.
- 47:40Speaker 4: There was laughs. There was romance. There was even a
- 47:44Speaker 4: trip back to Riley's place where there was lovemaking. But
- 47:49Speaker 4: in the middle of the midnight, Derek got the bubble
- 47:52Speaker 4: guts and he left the scene right away, leaving no
- 47:57Speaker 4: explanation in the middle of the night. But now that
- 47:59Speaker 4: he's tried to contact Riley, there is radio silence. She
- 48:04Speaker 4: is like a ghost of the Halloween season. She is
- 48:06Speaker 4: not returning his calls at all. He would like to
- 48:09Speaker 4: make up and get a second date. She is not
- 48:11Speaker 4: responding at all. That's where we come All right, Derek,
- 48:13Speaker 4: that's a pretty good recap. So you slept with her.
- 48:15Speaker 3: You slid out in the middle of the night, texted
- 48:17Speaker 3: her and told her why, but she never responded, right?
- 48:20Speaker 22: Correct.
- 48:20Speaker 3: All right, you stay quiet. We're going to get her on.
- 48:22Speaker 3: She's ready to go. All right, go ahead and patch
- 48:24Speaker 3: her through.
- 48:26Speaker 20: Riley.
- 48:28Speaker 15: Riley.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Hey, how are you?
- 48:30Speaker 6: Hey, good morning.
- 48:31Speaker 8: Morning.
- 48:32Speaker 3: So thanks for jumping on the air with us.
- 48:34Speaker 25: Yeah, of course.
- 48:36Speaker 3: Trying to get some information on you on your date
- 48:38Speaker 3: with Derek, if you don't mind.
- 48:40Speaker 12: Oh, okay.
- 48:42Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, remember Derek?
- 48:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:46Speaker 5: That doesn't sound good.
- 48:47Speaker 4: It does not.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Wait, well, what do you want to say?
- 48:51Speaker 25: What's going on?
- 48:52Speaker 3: Well, he reached out to us, and he was giving
- 48:54Speaker 3: us the details of your date, and now he says
- 48:56Speaker 3: that you're not responding to his text messages, so we
- 48:58Speaker 3: thought we would call you and get your version.
- 49:01Speaker 6: Wait, he's wondering why I'm not texting him back?
- 49:03Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 6: Like, that's actually hilarious. They didn't tell you what.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Happened Well, did he tell you? I believe so. He said,
- 49:15Speaker 3: you guys hit it off. He went back to your
- 49:17Speaker 3: house and he he had to leave pretty early and
- 49:20Speaker 3: he texted you and told you why uh.
- 49:23Speaker 25: Okay look um i just love to know why a
- 49:26Speaker 25: 29 year old man i thought it was acceptable to
- 49:29Speaker 25: pee in my bed and.
- 49:31Speaker 21: Leave did what in your bed really i can i
- 49:34Speaker 21: explain Oh, he's there.
- 49:36Speaker 8: Oh my God, he's on the phone too.
- 49:38Speaker 5: Yeah, he knows exactly what happened.
- 49:41Speaker 25: Literally, okay, I woke up at four in the morning.
- 49:44Speaker 25: I'm literally laying in a wet.
- 49:46Speaker 6: Bed covered in a grown man's pee. Ew.
- 49:50Speaker 3: Gross.
- 49:51Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 49:51Speaker 25: No, I mean, I was super confused because, I mean,
- 49:53Speaker 25: I'm half asleep. And then I realized what happened.
- 49:56Speaker 6: And I almost threw up. So I peed in my bed.
- 49:59Speaker 25: No, instead of.
- 50:00Speaker 6: Waking me up and apologizing to me, I'm literally doing anything.
- 50:03Speaker 25: This man grabs his stuff and runs.
- 50:05Speaker 6: I didn't have the audacity to, like, text me the
- 50:07Speaker 6: next day about his stomach was hurting. What does that
- 50:09Speaker 6: have to do with you peeing in my bed? Like, dude,
- 50:12Speaker 6: I can call the radio station to, like, ask me
- 50:14Speaker 6: why I'm not calling you back.
- 50:16Speaker 18: Riley, I called because I, well, we were drinking that night.
- 50:18Speaker 18: And I think, you know, I had one of those
- 50:19Speaker 18: dreams where I thought I got up to use the bathroom. And,
- 50:21Speaker 18: you know, so I called the show, you know, trying
- 50:26Speaker 18: to get you back and talk to you about it.
- 50:28Speaker 18: I'm really sorry.
- 50:29Speaker 6: Well, I had to shut my entire bed.
- 50:31Speaker 3: I had to throw my pillows.
- 50:32Speaker 6: I had to spend the.
- 50:33Speaker 25: Entire next day trying to figure out how to get
- 50:35Speaker 25: your grown man pee out of my mattress.
- 50:37Speaker 6: Like, you want another date? Absolutely not. I mean, we
- 50:41Speaker 6: could have a date where you take me to go
- 50:42Speaker 6: buy a new mattress.
- 50:43Speaker 3: How about that?
- 50:44Speaker 18: You're right. I mean, I handled it wrong. Horribly wrong.
- 50:48Speaker 11: I'm sorry.
- 50:48Speaker 18: I was hoping you'd give me another chance, though.
- 50:50Speaker 21: Oh, yeah, you did.
- 50:51Speaker 6: You just walked out and didn't even, like, Like, wake
- 50:54Speaker 6: me up so I can get up and start cleaning. Like,
- 50:56Speaker 6: you just left me there laying in your pee, bro.
- 50:58Speaker 8: I've soiled the good Krusty Krab name.
- 51:01Speaker 16: Soiled it.
- 51:02Speaker 19: Soiled it.
- 51:03Speaker 17: Soiled it.
- 51:04Speaker 19: Soiled it.
- 51:05Speaker 8: Soiled it.
- 51:06Speaker 15: Soiled it.
- 51:07Speaker 4: I command you to stop that.
- 51:09Speaker 3: You know, what's funny is he was worried. He left
- 51:11Speaker 3: because his stomach hurt. So I figured he was worried
- 51:13Speaker 3: that he was going to, you know, do something else
- 51:15Speaker 3: in the bed. But go and pee. Did you know
- 51:16Speaker 3: you peed in the bed, dude?
- 51:17Speaker 20: Or did you not know you peed in the bed? I, it,
- 51:20Speaker 20: it was a little wet.
- 51:21Speaker 18: It didn't seem like it was, I thought it could
- 51:23Speaker 18: have been half off. It wasn't a big thing.
- 51:25Speaker 3: You know, what's interesting for me, my, well, like first
- 51:28Speaker 3: I was like, Oh, he peed in the bed, whatever.
- 51:29Speaker 3: But then when you start saying that you had to
- 51:30Speaker 3: pull the sheets, you had to pull them out, whatever.
- 51:32Speaker 3: I'm like, Oh my God, that, that is right. And
- 51:34Speaker 3: then you have this mattress. That's your mattress that now
- 51:37Speaker 3: has someone else's pee stain on it.
- 51:38Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 51:39Speaker 3: That's terrible.
- 51:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:40Speaker 3: Have to get out. But what should he have done?
- 51:42Speaker 6: I have a protective cover on my mattress.
- 51:44Speaker 4: Oh, that's good.
- 51:45Speaker 3: Okay, so what should he have done? He should have, like,
- 51:48Speaker 3: just for future, as people that are listening to this,
- 51:50Speaker 3: any men, women, once they pee in the bed with
- 51:53Speaker 3: someone they just met, what should they do? Hey, wake up.
- 51:56Speaker 3: I peed in your bed.
- 51:57Speaker 6: It's super embarrassing, but at least, like, the person up
- 51:58Speaker 6: and apologize.
- 51:59Speaker 15: Right.
- 52:00Speaker 25: Start helping clean.
- 52:01Speaker 6: And maybe they should reconcile something. I mean, it's really
- 52:04Speaker 6: awkward and really, you know, people.
- 52:06Speaker 25: Have accidents, I guess, but, like, dude, you should just leave.
- 52:08Speaker 6: Somebody laying in You pee in my house.
- 52:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not cool.
- 52:11Speaker 5: That's gross. Because I get, too, like, if his stomach hurt, like,
- 52:14Speaker 5: maybe he was, like, having the cold sweats, you know,
- 52:17Speaker 5: really just not feeling good. Like, I can empathize with that.
- 52:21Speaker 5: But I can't empathize with, like, you just getting up
- 52:24Speaker 5: and dipping and not telling someone that you had an accident.
- 52:27Speaker 3: That's tough.
- 52:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:30Speaker 18: I handled it wrong. Totally wrong. I'm really sorry.
- 52:32Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 52:33Speaker 18: Really, you know, I'm hoping that we.
- 52:35Speaker 21: Could pass this up.
- 52:36Speaker 4: I wonder how you left that out when you were
- 52:38Speaker 4: talking to us.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Well, it's embarrassing. I get it.
- 52:40Speaker 4: I get why you wouldn't want to say anything.
- 52:42Speaker 3: It's not like it happened and he's running away. Like
- 52:44Speaker 3: he's still like, like he wants, like he's, you know
- 52:47Speaker 3: what I mean?
- 52:47Speaker 18: Like, I think that would happen to me. It wasn't
- 52:50Speaker 18: that big of a spot. I didn't think it was
- 52:51Speaker 18: that big.
- 52:52Speaker 3: It must have been. But hold on for one second.
- 52:54Speaker 15: Hold on.
- 52:55Speaker 3: So Riley, do you need a new mattress or you
- 52:57Speaker 3: said there was a cover on it? It's fine.
- 52:59Speaker 25: No, it went through the cover too.
- 53:02Speaker 26: Okay, okay, okay.
- 53:03Speaker 3: So it was interesting. You need a new mattress. Okay,
- 53:05Speaker 3: so currently working right now, I am with a mattress
- 53:09Speaker 3: company called Bored Mattress Company. I'm trying to get a
- 53:11Speaker 3: deal with them so maybe we can give them some
- 53:13Speaker 3: love and they can jump on the air and do
- 53:14Speaker 3: an endorsement with us. B-O-R-E-D mattress.com. Check them out. I
- 53:19Speaker 3: have one of those. I have one of them in
- 53:20Speaker 3: my house right now.
- 53:22Speaker 6: I really don't want to have a day with you.
- 53:24Speaker 6: I wonder if they can be on the radio to
- 53:26Speaker 6: have to explain all this.
- 53:28Speaker 3: That'd be a good campaign. Hold on a second.
- 53:30Speaker 6: I'm trying to do a mattress commercial.
- 53:32Speaker 16: For board mattress right now.
- 53:44Speaker 3: And it'd be great if there was a slogan they
- 53:45Speaker 3: had about, you know, Hey, your pee doesn't stay in
- 53:48Speaker 3: our mattresses.
- 53:48Speaker 4: You're in good hands with us.
- 53:50Speaker 3: Board mattress.com. You're in good hands with us. That's fantastic.
- 53:54Speaker 3: There you go.
- 53:55Speaker 4: You're in for a good night's sleep.
- 53:56Speaker 3: That's it. New endorsement deal for Rich and me. Okay.
- 53:58Speaker 15: Riley.
- 53:59Speaker 16: I'm so sorry.
- 54:00Speaker 4: I had to get that out.
- 54:01Speaker 3: You can also play along with you guys.
- 54:02Speaker 16: So sorry.
- 54:04Speaker 4: All over our mattress. We're good.
- 54:05Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 54:06Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 54:06Speaker 18: All right. Anyway, go ahead.
- 54:07Speaker 27: Raleigh.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Do you want to see him again? Or do you
- 54:09Speaker 3: not want to see him again?
- 54:09Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 54:10Speaker 13: No, I'm good.
- 54:12Speaker 6: I'm good.
- 54:13Speaker 25: I love your show.
- 54:13Speaker 6: Thank you for calling. This is just so weird. But
- 54:17Speaker 6: have a good day and feel free to look up
- 54:19Speaker 6: that mattress thing if you want to send me one.
- 54:21Speaker 6: Other than that, don't contact me.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Okay, so if he sends you one, you'd be willing
- 54:24Speaker 3: to see him again?
- 54:25Speaker 6: No, I'll see him for the mattress.
- 54:27Speaker 4: So the lovemaking was just okay. He was right. He
- 54:31Speaker 4: said it was adequate. Just okay.
- 54:34Speaker 3: I got to go.
- 54:35Speaker 5: She's like, I don't got time for this.
- 54:37Speaker 3: All right. Well, thank you for going on the air
- 54:38Speaker 3: with us, Riley. There you go, Derek. That's why she's
- 54:40Speaker 3: blowing you off.
- 54:42Speaker 18: I know I didn't do the right thing, but I
- 54:43Speaker 18: think she could have come around, especially if you got
- 54:45Speaker 18: her a mattress.
- 54:46Speaker 26: It would have worked out.
- 54:47Speaker 3: I'm going to get her a mattress.
- 54:50Speaker 16: They just wanted the endorsement.
- 54:51Speaker 3: I'm trying to get an endorsement deal then because I
- 54:53Speaker 3: like the mattress.
- 54:55Speaker 18: Yeah, if you got Riley a new mattress, that would work, right?
- 54:59Speaker 3: I'm trying to find them online. She says no. I
- 55:00Speaker 3: can't find them online anymore.
- 55:01Speaker 16: That wouldn't even help.
- 55:02Speaker 6: So sorry.
- 55:02Speaker 3: Maybe they're already out of business. Prices were too good.
- 55:05Speaker 4: Maybe I'm wrong on the name.
- 55:07Speaker 3: All right. Thanks, Derek. Good luck. Don't pee in people's beds.
- 55:12Speaker 18: Thank you.
- 55:12Speaker 3: All right.
- 55:13Speaker 6: Bye.
- 55:13Speaker 2: You come for the John Jay and Rich, but let's
- 55:15Speaker 2: be honest. You stay for Kyle and Peyton. It's John
- 55:20Speaker 2: Jay and Rich.
- 55:20Speaker 3: Okay, you guys. I asked our very own Noah Lashley
- 55:23Speaker 3: to pull something for me, pull some audio for me.
- 55:25Speaker 3: There was a website called ultimateclassicrock.com, and they put together
- 55:29Speaker 3: all this research, and they put together a list of
- 55:31Speaker 3: the most hated songs. The most hated songs in rock.
- 55:36Speaker 5: Ooh, like because they're annoying or overplayed?
- 55:39Speaker 4: Probably all those things, or maybe they just get under
- 55:42Speaker 4: people's skin.
- 55:43Speaker 12: Okay.
- 55:44Speaker 3: So I pulled the top six most hated songs, and
- 55:49Speaker 3: some of these are under rock, but I don't think
- 55:51Speaker 3: some of these are rock, but that doesn't matter. I
- 55:52Speaker 3: think these are all songs we know. And I think
- 55:55Speaker 3: these are all songs that when you hear them, I
- 55:58Speaker 3: enjoy them. I don't want to hear them over and
- 55:59Speaker 3: over again. But Noah, Noah, what did you think when
- 56:02Speaker 3: you pulled them?
- 56:02Speaker 17: I think the list rocks.
- 56:05Speaker 4: They should be the most loved songs on your playlist?
- 56:08Speaker 17: I get what the list is saying now that I know.
- 56:13Speaker 3: The song's slap. Okay, all right, hold on.
- 56:15Speaker 4: I haven't seen this list, but before you get to
- 56:17Speaker 4: number one, I won't take a guess until you get
- 56:19Speaker 4: to number one.
- 56:20Speaker 3: No, don't even, okay, don't take a guess until you
- 56:21Speaker 3: get to number one. But when I play the song,
- 56:24Speaker 3: let it breathe for a second before you comment, okay?
- 56:26Speaker 3: So this is song number six of the most hated
- 56:28Speaker 3: songs of all time.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Too many runaways That was going to be my number
- 56:32Speaker 4: one guess.
- 56:32Speaker 6: In the night My pony plays the.
- 56:35Speaker 19: Bumble Listen to the radio Don't you remember We built
- 56:44Speaker 19: this city.
- 56:45Speaker 8: We built this city on rock and roll.
- 56:51Speaker 3: I feel like this should be in a cartoon nowadays.
- 56:53Speaker 5: I've never heard this song in my life.
- 56:55Speaker 3: It's in the Lego movie? It's Starship. We built this city.
- 57:01Speaker 3: It's the band. It's called Starship. We built this city.
- 57:03Speaker 5: It's not Cobra Starship.
- 57:05Speaker 3: No. Starship. Starship. We built this city. That is the
- 57:08Speaker 3: number six most hated song of all time.
- 57:10Speaker 4: That was my pick for number one.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Never heard it. This is the number five most hated
- 57:14Speaker 3: song of all time. Shining Happy People by R.E.M. I
- 57:34Speaker 3: feel like that's some chicken little.
- 57:36Speaker 16: That could be annoying.
- 57:37Speaker 5: Oh, I love Chicken Little, but I don't recognize the song.
- 57:40Speaker 3: And this is the number four most hated song in rock.
- 57:43Speaker 4: Eisenhower vaccine.
- 57:45Speaker 3: England's got a new queen. Marciano, Liberace, Santayana, goodbye. We
- 57:48Speaker 3: didn't start the fire. Billy Joel.
- 57:53Speaker 5: It was always burning since the world's been turning.
- 57:56Speaker 19: We didn't start the fire.
- 58:01Speaker 4: I mean, that's kind of iconic if you make one
- 58:04Speaker 4: of the most hated songs ever. That's pretty good. That
- 58:07Speaker 4: means it was probably pretty popular at some point.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Didn't some band just redo it?
- 58:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Fall Out Boy did.
- 58:11Speaker 3: Fall Out Boy redid it. Yeah, that's right. That's right.
- 58:31Speaker 3: The number three most hated song in rock and roll.
- 58:37Speaker 3: How dare they?
- 58:38Speaker 8: How dare they?
- 58:45Speaker 3: Phil Collins. Lily Collins' dad. Emily in Paris' dad.
- 58:51Speaker 4: How could anybody want to take Sue's studio?
- 58:53Speaker 3: Yes, Noah.
- 58:55Speaker 17: Play a Phil Collins record. on a vinyl turntable. It
- 59:00Speaker 17: sounds absolutely incredible.
- 59:02Speaker 3: You do that?
- 59:02Speaker 17: Yes. My mom raised me on Phil Collins, and I
- 59:07Speaker 17: bought the record just because I got a nice turntable.
- 59:09Speaker 17: and I'm not joking. It is like a masterpiece to
- 59:12Speaker 17: the ears.
- 59:13Speaker 6: I'm with you.
- 59:14Speaker 3: That is something that I don't want to do.
- 59:16Speaker 4: He's a national treasure.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Phil Collins. I don't have a turntable, and I don't
- 59:19Speaker 3: have vinyl. So Phil Collins, Sousou Studio, the number two
- 59:23Speaker 3: most hated song in rock and roll.
- 59:24Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 59:29Speaker 4: I'm not a fan.
- 59:30Speaker 3: From the hit Tom Cruise movie Cocktail. Kokomo by the
- 59:35Speaker 3: Beach Boys.
- 59:38Speaker 4: Not their best work.
- 59:49Speaker 3: We're down in Kokomo.
- 59:51Speaker 16: Peyton looks like she might hate all of these.
- 59:53Speaker 5: I don't know any of these songs. I'm literally 0
- 59:57Speaker 5: for 5 right now.
- 59:58Speaker 3: That's okay. This wasn't like, what songs does Peyton not know?
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: Well, I'm just saying, but before when you started, you
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: said these are songs that we all know, and I
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: don't know any of these songs. I grew up in
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: a very different... I don't think she would like this, actually.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Your grandma would know these songs.
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: She would know those songs. I don't know if she
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: would like those songs.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Which means she would fit right in this category. These
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: are songs that people hate.
- 1:00:18Speaker 12: That's true.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: These are songs people hate. And the number one most
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: hated song in rock and roll, which, by the way,
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: before you play it, is a big debate. Noah told
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: me a fun fact about this song. It's from a movie.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: It's from a movie that his parents was their first date.
- 1:00:35Speaker 12: What?
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: How dare they?
- 1:00:37Speaker 15: Armageddon.
- 1:00:40Speaker 16: Cause I miss you, babe.
- 1:00:42Speaker 27: And I don't wanna miss a thing This one.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: Actually does sound a little familiar.
- 1:00:49Speaker 16: I feel like you would know this one.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: I don't, yeah.
- 1:00:51Speaker 21: I don't know.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: This was Aerosmith's biggest hit and I think that's what
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: people have a problem with because they're a rock band
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: and this is a love song.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: I'm not gonna lie to you, I enjoy all these songs.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: But they're also the kind of songs like, I don't
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: listen to rock any rock stations but they probably play
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: all the time.
- 1:01:05Speaker 16: And you don't want to hear them all the time.
- 1:01:07Speaker 17: Without this song, I would not be here.
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: Oh, they make love. They make love to that song.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Damn you to hell.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: Oh my God.
- 1:01:17Speaker 16: We can say thank you.
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: That is their baby making song.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: I'll give you a little fun fact about the song.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: I was watching what my dad had on the TV
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: show 60 Minutes and they were interviewing Barbara Streisand and
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: her husband James Brolin. James Brolin is Thanos' dad from
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: all the Avengers movies and Interview in 60 Minutes, he
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: says to the news reporter, he says, my wife, Barbara Stratton,
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: I love her so much that I don't want to
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: go to sleep because I feel like I'm going to
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: miss her. And Stephen Tyler was watching that, and he
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: wrote this song based off of that 60 Minutes interview.
- 1:01:51Speaker 20: Oh, my goodness.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: From ABC News, 2020 continues. Once again, Barbara Walters.
- 1:01:56Speaker 12: The other night, he was, you know what spooning is,
- 1:01:59Speaker 12: don't you? I think so. So he was like whispering,
- 1:02:03Speaker 12: he was holding me and whispering.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: Sleeping spoon stock.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: Yeah, sleeping like.
- 1:02:06Speaker 12: Spoon stock, cuddling in bed. Is that what we're talking about?
- 1:02:08Speaker 12: And we were just about to fall asleep. I thought,
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: you know, he says, I don't want to fall asleep.
- 1:02:14Speaker 12: And so I say, why not? And he says, because
- 1:02:17Speaker 12: then I'll miss you.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Damn you, Barbara Streisand.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: If you wouldn't have slept so beautifully, Noah wouldn't be here.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: Why have we said a bad name?
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Damn you, Noah. Damn you, Noah, to hell.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: I mean, baby, maybe when we're playing this right now, Noah,
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: your parents are making love right now.
- 1:02:37Speaker 15: Yeah, he doesn't want to think that. Right now.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Right now they're making love.
- 1:02:40Speaker 12: No, no, no.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Do you think your parents did it on the first
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: night after seeing that movie? Do you think they hooked up?
- 1:02:45Speaker 17: My parents have rehearsed the story of how they met,
- 1:02:48Speaker 17: and they claim that they just stayed up talking the
- 1:02:52Speaker 17: first night. She was so enamored by my dad's eyes.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: He does have beautiful eyes.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: He has beautiful eyes.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: I get it. And I think you got his eyes, huh?
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: You got his eyes. I do, yeah. You have beautiful eyes.
- 1:03:02Speaker 17: And our eyelashes, which is why my last name is Lashley.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: You mean you guys changed your last name?
- 1:03:07Speaker 17: That's why they changed it? The Lashleys have known to
- 1:03:10Speaker 17: have beautiful eyelashes for like 100 years. That's the lore.
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: Oh, it sounded like.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: You guys changed your last name to Lashley because you
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: got the long lash.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: I wonder if my last name would have been originally
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: receding hairline.
- 1:03:19Speaker 15: Wow.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: We'd like to dedicate this to Winifred and Noah's dad.
- 1:03:23Speaker 16: Yeah, you can use the Walmart card, but keep it
- 1:03:31Speaker 16: under 40 bucks, okay? Spend the rest with your money.
- 1:03:35Speaker 16: I'm trying to pay it down, but somebody, somebody keeps
- 1:03:39Speaker 16: sucking your father and I drive.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Those are the most hated songs in rock and roll music.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Yeah, if that last segment offended you, I am really,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: really sorry. Please email our management at yourmom at iheartradio.yourmom.com.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: Hey, Katie, good morning.
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: Hi.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: Hi, what's going on?
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: I know you're a big fan of Ella.
- 1:04:06Speaker 13: I am.
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: And I like all of her.
- 1:04:09Speaker 21: Songs, too.
- 1:04:10Speaker 11: But when I was listening to She's in Texas... I
- 1:04:13Speaker 11: got it stuck in my head and she said it
- 1:04:16Speaker 11: in the song and now I can never unhear it.
- 1:04:18Speaker 11: So like in the chorus, she'll say, there's nothing I
- 1:04:21Speaker 11: can do. But then in the middle of the song,
- 1:04:24Speaker 11: she'll say, there's nothing I can do-hoo. Now it's just
- 1:04:29Speaker 11: like stuck in my head.
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: Every time I'm like, there's nothing I can do-hoo.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: You know, that song stays with me all day. I
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: sing that song all day in my head. Well, it's
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: number one for 26 weeks. I can't wait to listen
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: for that part.
- 1:04:46Speaker 11: Yes, and it made me think of how you did
- 1:04:49Speaker 11: the farts, how you heard it.
- 1:04:51Speaker 12: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:52Speaker 11: Other people's songs, and I don't know, it just always
- 1:04:55Speaker 11: made me laugh.
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: That's what I thought I'd tell you.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:04:57Speaker 11: You'll get it stuck in your head now.
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: John Jay, you need to listen to Solar Eclipse on repeat,
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: the Drake and Don Tolliver.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Oh, I've heard it.
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: They really, I listened to it probably 10 times yesterday,
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: and I was like, this is such a good song.
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: Such a great song. But I love Ella Langley. I'm
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: definitely an Ella fella, and I want, I'm going to
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: try to make my own merch of hers, because I
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: don't like concert merch. I always think it's weird. It doesn't,
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: fit me right.
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: There's a lot of words and the shirts don't fit right.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: You know, when they put all the tour dates on
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: the back.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: I like the tour dates on the back. I don't
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: like the stuff on the front.
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: You know what it is? When I see somebody with that,
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: I feel like I have to read every single day
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: or I'm, you know, like denying the artist's vision. So
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: I got to read the entire shirt. That's a lot
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: of reading.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: Katie, thanks for listening. I'm so glad you texted us.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: They what?
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: Make a do-hoo shirt.
