Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're diving right back in
• 0:06
Speaker 1: to that New Mexico interim report from their Truth Commission
• 0:11
Speaker 1: law enforcement calls to Zoro Ranch. A full record of
• 0:15
Speaker 1: police activity on Zoro Ranch is not complete. It's therefore
• 0:19
Speaker 1: too early to discern any clear pattern or theme. This
• 0:23
Speaker 1: summary of law enforcement calls to Zoro Ranch is derived
• 0:26
Speaker 1: from records obtained by the New Mexico Department of Public
• 0:29
Speaker 1: Safety and the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office in response
• 0:32
Speaker 1: to Commission subpoenas. Additional information was obtained from the EFTA
• 0:37
Speaker 1: release from the DOJ. According to records released under the EFTA,
• 0:43
Speaker 1: an emergency call was placed to New Mexico law enforcement
• 0:46
Speaker 1: on February sixteenth, twenty sixteen, at eight forty three a m.
• 0:50
Speaker 1: From the mainland line on Zoro Ranch. The call was
• 0:54
Speaker 1: placed and the dialer hung up the dispatch call back
• 0:57
Speaker 1: and spoke with Karen Gordon, a ranch manager, who advised
• 1:00
Speaker 1: that everything's fine and later told police who were dispatched
• 1:04
Speaker 1: that a call was never made from the property. The
• 1:07
Speaker 1: call was logged by the Regional Emergency Communication Center which
• 1:10
Speaker 1: is operated jointly by the City and County of Santa Fe.
• 1:14
Speaker 1: According to emails between ranch manager Bryce Gordon and Jeffrey Epstein,
• 1:18
Speaker 1: Bryce stated it was probably the same patrol car we
• 1:21
Speaker 1: spotted just before Lammy. Epstein forwarded the email to his pilot,
• 1:26
Speaker 1: Larry Vasoski, with a note that said instinct, to which
• 1:29
Speaker 1: the pilot agreed. According to the Santa Fe New Mexican
• 1:33
Speaker 1: there was no police report in conjunction with the twenty
• 1:35
Speaker 1: sixteen call. The dispatch log noted no report required. The
• 1:40
Speaker 1: Commission will continue to investigate this incident. Importantly, in August
• 1:44
Speaker 1: of twenty eighteen, the New Mexico State Police were called
• 1:48
Speaker 1: to Zoro Ranch to investigate a report of a firearm theft.
• 1:52
Speaker 1: At this time, the Commission has obtained no evidence showing
• 1:55
Speaker 1: that Epstein was ever under investigation for a lawful possession
• 1:59
Speaker 1: of firearm. A follow up subpoeno will be issued to
• 2:03
Speaker 1: the New Mexico Department of Public Safety for additional information
• 2:07
Speaker 1: about the August twenty eighteen State Police call to Zoro Ranch,
• 2:11
Speaker 1: as well as for information regarding any other State police
• 2:14
Speaker 1: investigation relating in any way to Zoro Ranch or its employees.
• 2:20
Speaker 1: Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office records documents six calls to
• 2:23
Speaker 1: Zorro Ranch, but all of them occurred after Epstein's death
• 2:27
Speaker 1: in August of twenty nineteen. The February twenty sixteen call
• 2:31
Speaker 1: described above logged separately by the Regional Emergency Communication Center.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: On November eleventh, twenty nineteen, Deputy Maria Hernandez of the
• 2:41
Speaker 1: Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Saint Vincent's
• 2:44
Speaker 1: Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she made contact
• 2:48
Speaker 1: with Steve Chavez, a ranch hand employed at Zoro Ranch.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: Chavez reported that two men approached him while he was
• 2:55
Speaker 1: posting no trespassing signs on Zoro Ranch. The two males,
• 2:59
Speaker 1: who spoke Spanish, proceeded to assault them by punching and
• 3:02
Speaker 1: kicking them. The men fled and the black SUV was
• 3:05
Speaker 1: seen in the area. Officer Hernandez made contact with Bryce
• 3:10
Speaker 1: Gordon to inquire about persons seen in the area. The
• 3:13
Speaker 1: assailants were not identified were apprehended. On May seventh, twenty twenty,
• 3:18
Speaker 1: Deputy Joe Vigil of the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputy
• 3:22
Speaker 1: Office was dispatched the forty nine Zoro Ranch Road to
• 3:25
Speaker 1: investigate a report of trespassers. Officer Vigil spoke with Karen Gordon,
• 3:30
Speaker 1: who said she heard the security alarm go off and
• 3:33
Speaker 1: then saw two males walking on the property. Gordon confronted
• 3:37
Speaker 1: the men and asked them what they were doing there,
• 3:39
Speaker 1: and they said they'd been told by True News that
• 3:43
Speaker 1: the place was a tourist attraction and they could go
• 3:46
Speaker 1: wherever they wanted on the property. Gordon told the men
• 3:49
Speaker 1: they were trespassing and they left. Two Zoro Ranch workers
• 3:53
Speaker 1: then got on their ATVs and attempted to locate the trespassers,
• 3:56
Speaker 1: to no avail. No further action was taken. On June fifteenth,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: twenty twenty, Deputy Rachel Weber was dispatched to Zoro Ranch
• 4:05
Speaker 1: to investigate a burglary. Ranch personnel had apprehended the subjects,
• 4:09
Speaker 1: a male and a female, later identified as Darryl Carson
• 4:13
Speaker 1: and Melanie Viegis, and were holding them at gunpoint. Upon investigation,
• 4:18
Speaker 1: it was determined that Carson and Viegas breached a storage
• 4:21
Speaker 1: container and stole an antique Citruan car radiator which had
• 4:25
Speaker 1: been converted into a shelf. The pair were taken into custody, detained,
• 4:30
Speaker 1: and charged with possession of burglary tools, larceny, and criminal
• 4:34
Speaker 1: damage to property. The case status is unknown at this time.
• 4:39
Speaker 1: On August twenty fourth, twenty twenty, Deputy g Nieto made
• 4:43
Speaker 1: telephonic contact with a survivor who reported that Epstein sexually
• 4:47
Speaker 1: assaulted him in Los Angeles on December fifth, nineteen ninety three.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: The case was closed when Epstein was declared deceased. On
• 4:55
Speaker 1: February sixteenth, twenty twenty six, Deputy Clay Collison was dispatched
• 5:00
Speaker 1: to Zoro Ranch to investigate a report of a threat
• 5:03
Speaker 1: made by a person outside the front gate of the ranch.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: According to the report, the person brandished the crowbar and
• 5:10
Speaker 1: stated I just got out of prison and I will
• 5:13
Speaker 1: expletive deleted you up. The case is still open. On
• 5:17
Speaker 1: February twenty fourth, twenty twenty six, Deputy Joshua Thomas was
• 5:21
Speaker 1: dispatched to Zoro Ranch to investigate the theft of a
• 5:25
Speaker 1: security camera. Discussion of the investigative areas. This investigative area
• 5:31
Speaker 1: covers the areas of grooming abuse occurring at the Zoro Ranch,
• 5:34
Speaker 1: recruitment and interstate trafficking evidence discussed in this section. Is preliminary,
• 5:40
Speaker 1: and the Commission anticipates additional survivors may come forward. FBI
• 5:44
Speaker 1: and Federal court records established that miners were brought to
• 5:47
Speaker 1: Epstein's Oro ranch and abuse there. The Maxwell indictment charges
• 5:52
Speaker 1: that a miner was groomed at the property in nineteen
• 5:54
Speaker 1: ninety six, starting with an unsolicited topless massage. A victim
• 6:00
Speaker 1: sentencing statement described being flown to the ranch at fifteen
• 6:03
Speaker 1: in two thousand and four and sexually molested for many hours.
• 6:07
Speaker 1: These are separate incidents involving different victims spanning at least
• 6:11
Speaker 1: eight years. Positive identification of survivors has been hampered by
• 6:15
Speaker 1: the DOJ's refusal to release unreadacted copies of court and
• 6:19
Speaker 1: other records. Nonetheless, the evidence reviewed to date supports the
• 6:23
Speaker 1: conclusion that Epstein abused at least five women and girls
• 6:27
Speaker 1: on Zoro Ranch between nineteen ninety six and twenty twelve,
• 6:31
Speaker 1: including one who is now deceased. Survivors. The Commission has
• 6:36
Speaker 1: reviewed the reports of five survivors. There are almost certainly
• 6:40
Speaker 1: additional survivors who fell prey to Epstein in New Mexico. Indeed,
• 6:44
Speaker 1: the Commission has counted at least thirty other individuals who
• 6:48
Speaker 1: potentially were abused by Epstein in New Mexico. The exclusion
• 6:52
Speaker 1: of survivor from the list below is not intended as
• 6:55
Speaker 1: a comment on the credibility of a survivor's report of abuse. However,
• 7:00
Speaker 1: too little is known about these individuals at this point
• 7:03
Speaker 1: to confirm necessary facts. Some may be witnesses to abuse
• 7:07
Speaker 1: but not survivors of it. Others may be facilitators of
• 7:11
Speaker 1: Epstein's abuse, and some may be both survivor and facilitator.
• 7:15
Speaker 1: The investigation continues with a focus on positively identifying and
• 7:20
Speaker 1: questioning these witnesses. Reports of confirmed survivors are here to
• 7:26
Speaker 1: extend possible and they are as follows. Jane number one.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: In two thousand and six, the FBI interviewed Jane do One,
• 7:34
Speaker 1: who recounted interaction she had with Epstein and Maxwell in
• 7:37
Speaker 1: New York and on Zoro Ranch in nineteen ninety six.
• 7:42
Speaker 1: The interview was conducted in connection with the Southern District
• 7:45
Speaker 1: of Florida investigation of Epstein. The report of this interview records,
• 7:49
Speaker 1: in part as follows. Epstein purchased Darafare from Phoenix to
• 7:53
Speaker 1: New York, Jane Doe flu to New York and stayed
• 7:56
Speaker 1: with her sister in the West Village. Jane Doe, Anderson
• 8:00
Speaker 1: and met Epstein at his residence, where he offered them
• 8:03
Speaker 1: a bottle of champagne. Epstein took them to see Phantom
• 8:05
Speaker 1: of the Opera and on the way offered more champagne.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: At a later time, Epstein took them to see a movie.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: During the movie, Epstein held and caressed her hand, which
• 8:15
Speaker 1: made her feel uncomfortable. Later, Epstein or Maxwell purchased an
• 8:19
Speaker 1: airline ticket for her to fly to Santa Fe. When
• 8:23
Speaker 1: she arrived in Santa Fe, the Zoro ranch manager picked
• 8:25
Speaker 1: her up. When she arrived at the ranch, there was
• 8:28
Speaker 1: some discussion about where she was going to stay on
• 8:31
Speaker 1: the property, and Epstein made it clear that she'd be
• 8:34
Speaker 1: staying with them. She was the only guest at the ranch.
• 8:38
Speaker 1: During her visit. Epstein and Maxwell took her to town
• 8:41
Speaker 1: for some shopping. During the evening, Epstein asked if she
• 8:44
Speaker 1: would provide him with a foot massage. Maxwell gave a demonstration.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: Jane Doe then gave Epstein a foot massage. Maxwell later
• 8:51
Speaker 1: asked Jane Doe to undress so that Maxwell could give
• 8:54
Speaker 1: her a massage. Jane Doe removed her clothing, leaving only
• 8:58
Speaker 1: her underwear on. Max completed the massage by rubbing her
• 9:02
Speaker 1: up her body, including her breast. The next morning, Epstein
• 9:05
Speaker 1: came into Jane Doe's room and got into bed with
• 9:08
Speaker 1: her under the covers. They were both dressed. They later
• 9:11
Speaker 1: went to a movie, during which Epstein stroked and caressed
• 9:15
Speaker 1: her hand and put his hand on Jane Doe's thigh.
• 9:18
Speaker 1: Later that night, Epstein came into Jane Doe's room, sat
• 9:21
Speaker 1: on her bed, stroked Jane Doe's hair, and told her
• 9:24
Speaker 1: how beautiful she was. The indictment in the United States
• 9:28
Speaker 1: first Glene Maxwell in the United States District Court of
• 9:31
Speaker 1: the Southern District of New York alleged defense conduct occurring
• 9:36
Speaker 1: on Zoro Ranch and involving a minor designated as Minor
• 9:39
Speaker 1: Victim number two. It's understood that minor victim number two
• 9:42
Speaker 1: is Jane do One, and the indictment alleges as follows.
• 9:46
Speaker 1: Maxwell interacted with minor victim number two on at least
• 9:49
Speaker 1: one occasion in or about nineteen ninety six at Epstein's
• 9:53
Speaker 1: residence in New Mexico, when Minor Victim two was under
• 9:56
Speaker 1: the age of eighteen. Minor Victim number two had sl
• 10:00
Speaker 1: into New Mexico from out of state at Epstein's invitation
• 10:03
Speaker 1: for the purpose of being groomed and or subjected to
• 10:06
Speaker 1: acts of sexual abuse. Maxwell knew that Minor Victim two
• 10:10
Speaker 1: was under the age of eighteen at the time. While
• 10:12
Speaker 1: in New Mexico, Maxwell and Epstein took Minor two to
• 10:15
Speaker 1: a movie and Maxwell took Minor two shopping. Maxwell also
• 10:20
Speaker 1: discussed Minor two school classes and family with Minor Victim two.
• 10:25
Speaker 1: In New Mexico, Maxwell began her efforts to groom Minor
• 10:28
Speaker 1: Victim two for abuse by Epstein by, among other things,
• 10:31
Speaker 1: providing an unsolicited massage to Minor Victim number two, during
• 10:36
Speaker 1: which Minor Victim two was topless. Maxwell also encouraged Minor
• 10:40
Speaker 1: Victim two to massage Epstein. These allegations are repeated in
• 10:45
Speaker 1: the superseding indictment returned in sdny's prosecution of Maxwell. The
• 10:50
Speaker 1: Maxwell detention memorandum also alluded to Jane Do One's abuse,
• 10:54
Speaker 1: stating that the abuse occurred at Epstein's properties in New York,
• 10:57
Speaker 1: Florida and New Mexico. Jane don number one, who appeared
• 11:01
Speaker 1: at Epstein's bell hearing testifying that Epstein at Flooner to
• 11:04
Speaker 1: New Mexico and was inappropriate with her. Jane do number
• 11:09
Speaker 1: two Jane Do two was a massage therapist who was
• 11:12
Speaker 1: interviewed in connection with the SDN wise Epstein investigation. She
• 11:16
Speaker 1: has spoken to the FBI to the media about her
• 11:19
Speaker 1: interactions with Epstein and Maxwell on Zoro Ranch. Jane Do
• 11:23
Speaker 1: two reported to the FBI that she started going to
• 11:26
Speaker 1: the ranch as a professional massage therapist in ninety nine.
• 11:30
Speaker 1: She became friends with Zoro Ranch house manager. She went
• 11:33
Speaker 1: to Zoro Ranch for three years. Epstein came to the
• 11:36
Speaker 1: ranch approximately three to four times a year. Jane Do
• 11:39
Speaker 1: two massaged Maxwell, Epstein, and a younger woman who looked
• 11:42
Speaker 1: like models. Someone at the ranch was a previous massage therapist.
• 11:47
Speaker 1: Approximately two years after she started going to the ranch,
• 11:50
Speaker 1: Jane Do two was given a non disclosure agreement, but
• 11:54
Speaker 1: she did not sign it and stopped going to the
• 11:56
Speaker 1: ranch shortly thereafter. She remembered reading an article in Vanity
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Fair in two thousand and three about Epstein and remember thinking,
• 12:04
Speaker 1: holy shit, this is Jeffrey. She stopped going to the
• 12:07
Speaker 1: ranch prior to this article being published. Jane Do two
• 12:11
Speaker 1: remembered the layout of the main residence and remembered pictures
• 12:14
Speaker 1: of women with their breasts exposed. She spent most of
• 12:18
Speaker 1: her time there in the massage room, and also massaged
• 12:21
Speaker 1: a girl in the spare bedroom. She also massaged Epstein
• 12:25
Speaker 1: and Maxwell once in their bedroom and once in their
• 12:27
Speaker 1: expensive bathroom. She recalls massaging Epstein approximately fifteen times, Maxwell
• 12:33
Speaker 1: approximately five times, and guests approximately five times. She recalled
• 12:38
Speaker 1: massaging three girls and two older men. One of the
• 12:41
Speaker 1: girls had a British accent and one of the men
• 12:44
Speaker 1: was a physicist. The massages turned sexual with Epstein. She
• 12:48
Speaker 1: recalls she received payment by check with the name of
• 12:50
Speaker 1: Epstein's corporation on it. She knew of a reflexologist who
• 12:54
Speaker 1: went to the ranch. Maxwell told her, if you have
• 12:57
Speaker 1: any more friends who want to come out, they have
• 12:59
Speaker 1: to be good looking, pretty young. No Harry Pitts. One
• 13:03
Speaker 1: girl was brought to the ranch. Her name was redacted,
• 13:06
Speaker 1: as was her age. The girl said ew and never
• 13:09
Speaker 1: wanted to go back. All right, folks, we're gonna wrap
• 13:12
Speaker 1: up this episode right here, and in the next episode
• 13:14
Speaker 1: dealing with the topic, we're gonna pick up where we
• 13:16
Speaker 1: left off. All the information that goes with this episode
