- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's Best music is.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome back to another episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered.
- 0:07Speaker 2: We just got done with the episode that you probably
- 0:10Speaker 2: have heard where Abby was getting completely trashed by our coworkers.
- 0:15Speaker 1: They said kill that bitch twice, and.
- 0:17Speaker 2: So we should make hats that say KTB. But I'm
- 0:21Speaker 2: making merch. Yeah, you don't talk smack. We're gonna make money. Okay,
- 0:25Speaker 2: I'm kidding. But we're not going to really dive into
- 0:27Speaker 2: that right now because I'm still up in the air
- 0:29Speaker 2: on if I want to bring one of them into
- 0:30Speaker 2: the studio.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I think we should. I do too, because I mean
- 0:33Speaker 1: that's really ultimately I think what mean you both felt
- 0:37Speaker 1: after listening was this could have been so much better radio.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I think it would be an awesome opportunity to try
- 0:43Speaker 2: to see eye to eye to air out any grievances. Yes,
- 0:47Speaker 2: I was thinking about it over the weekend and I
- 0:48Speaker 2: was like, I wonder though if it would turn into
- 0:51Speaker 2: a fight.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I think we're gonna fight.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Well, I just like the uncomfortableness. Okay, so me naturally,
- 0:57Speaker 2: I'm not a huge conflict person. So if they're two
- 1:00Speaker 2: people that are going at it, I'm like even the
- 1:02Speaker 2: thought of it, I'm getting chills down my spine. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 2: radio terms, I love it because I'm like, well that's
- 1:07Speaker 2: entertaining and as long as it's like in all playful ways.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I just can't think of anything that would go down
- 1:13Speaker 1: in this room that would lead into like an actual brawl.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I think the thing I'm worried about is like if
- 1:17Speaker 2: something was said and you actually got hurt.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I'm not as fragile as I look like. I know,
- 1:22Speaker 1: I know that, but I mean you like, I'm more
- 1:25Speaker 1: worried about them.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Oh that's damn right, you know what? You know what
- 1:28Speaker 2: actually that I take my statement back. I mean, I
- 1:31Speaker 2: know you could hold your own, but I also, like
- 1:33Speaker 2: I said in the podcast, I was like, it's just again,
- 1:36Speaker 2: you're probably stronger will than I am. But like going
- 1:38Speaker 2: into a new space and like you're finding out coworkers
- 1:40Speaker 2: or talking shit, you're like, okay, yeah, I would be
- 1:44Speaker 2: as I'm already like eternally self conscious. I'd be like, okay,
- 1:49Speaker 2: everyone hates me. I'm gonna walk around my head down.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate your conscientiousness about that. I think that's
- 1:55Speaker 1: very sweet of you to think of me. I I
- 2:00Speaker 1: think it's because this isn't like a this isn't a
- 2:02Speaker 1: pain point for me.
- 2:03Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I my ultimate goal in creating content is creating things
- 2:09Speaker 1: that make people laugh, that resonate with people. And so
- 2:13Speaker 1: if these were videos that didn't perform well and people
- 2:16Speaker 1: were talking about them, yeah, I would feel really insecure
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I would feel a little embarrassed and did I
- 2:21Speaker 1: go about this wrong? And yeah, maybe my philosophy wasn't right.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, I made content
- 2:27Speaker 1: I think is really funny that you stand on that
- 2:30Speaker 1: I stand on, and that other people think is funny,
- 2:32Speaker 1: if it didn't resonate with them because they misinterpreted what
- 2:37Speaker 1: I was saying, like that's a skill issue, you know
- 2:39Speaker 1: what I mean, Like that's not it's not it's not
- 2:42Speaker 1: a me issue, because it's not like these videos are flopping,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I'm not saying, oh, I'm
- 2:46Speaker 1: going so viral, but they're getting hundreds and hundreds of shares,
- 2:50Speaker 1: thousands of likes, tens of thousands of views.
- 2:54Speaker 2: So you're not I'm not gonna stop just because you
- 2:56Speaker 2: never hate.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say is like I'm proud
- 2:58Speaker 1: of that content. I think it's funny, and ultimately that's
- 3:03Speaker 1: my way of ingratiating myself in the Tampa market. Whereas
- 3:06Speaker 1: I know they don't know my history with Tampa, but
- 3:09Speaker 1: I'm not some random newbie. I've been coming to Tampa
- 3:13Speaker 1: my whole life, and my relationship to Tampa is that
- 3:16Speaker 1: of like a friend. And what do you do with
- 3:18Speaker 1: your friends. You don't just hype them up constantly. You
- 3:21Speaker 1: roast your friends, You dig in on their little quirks
- 3:24Speaker 1: because you have that relationship. For me, if anything, that
- 3:27Speaker 1: was my way of trying to show the Tampa Bay
- 3:29Speaker 1: area that I am.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Observing of what's going on here.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I already understand the little nuances that happen here. This
- 3:36Speaker 1: isn't my first rodeo. To me, the newbie thing to
- 3:40Speaker 1: do would be to do what I did on a
- 3:43Speaker 1: video I did where I was asking, hey, girls, what
- 3:47Speaker 1: do I wear the lightning game? You know me likes
- 3:49Speaker 1: that video? Got that got twenty likes because nobody cares
- 3:52Speaker 1: that I'm new to Tampa and.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I don't know what to wear to a lightning game.
- 3:55Speaker 1: But if I can show that I have a if
- 3:58Speaker 1: I have insider knowledge as the inside jokes into the
- 4:01Speaker 1: things that happen here, and I can poke fun and
- 4:03Speaker 1: make good, clever jokes to me.
- 4:05Speaker 2: That's my way of saying, Tampa Bay, I get you.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah see, I like that. In'sa authentic You're just being
- 4:11Speaker 2: who you are. You're joking around, and it reminds me
- 4:13Speaker 2: of the influencer Tampa Brie, who's the realtor who her
- 4:17Speaker 2: whole stick is. She bashes a house, She's like, this
- 4:21Speaker 2: house looks like they had a bunch of three sums
- 4:23Speaker 2: in here. It's too like what the heck kind of.
- 4:26Speaker 2: It's so funny though, but that's why I watched the
- 4:28Speaker 2: whole thing. And I don't give a dang about the house.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I don't want it, but it's so entertaining. I'm like
- 4:33Speaker 2: it worked because it's satirical and it's funny.
- 4:35Speaker 1: If she was going around to those houses being like,
- 4:37Speaker 1: look at these marrable cants, like that's what you watch
- 4:39Speaker 1: HGTV war exactly, And there's a market for that, of course.
- 4:42Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, as a twenty eight,
- 4:45Speaker 1: twenty nine year old chick on my Instagram and I
- 4:48Speaker 1: scroll by and I see her going, oh my god,
- 4:49Speaker 1: look at the taj mahal, Yeah, countertops, I'm not paying
- 4:52Speaker 1: attention to that.
- 4:52Speaker 2: That's true. And again I like what you said. It's
- 4:54Speaker 2: like you can't make me feel bad about something that
- 4:56Speaker 2: I don't feel bad about. Like yeah, as in like
- 4:58Speaker 2: you can't like make me insecure about something I don't
- 5:00Speaker 2: feel insecure about. Like Okay, you guys are saying that,
- 5:02Speaker 2: but it doesn't impact me. That's what I mean. You can't.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I don't feel inferior or by it because I I
- 5:08Speaker 1: like what I put.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Out and it's honestly, I guess that's like you rattled
- 5:11Speaker 2: the cage, which is good, and you made the noise
- 5:13Speaker 2: and let them talk and that's awesome and we won't
- 5:15Speaker 2: bring them in. Okay, that's good. I'm glad we had
- 5:17Speaker 2: the discussion because I want to have that discussion with
- 5:18Speaker 2: everybody and just see their point of view too, because
- 5:21Speaker 2: I'm like, this is what hopefully a good conversation turns into.
- 5:24Speaker 2: It is like where people could start to see eye
- 5:26Speaker 2: to eye, but usually happens is like it's just so
- 5:28Speaker 2: far off and I don't understand how people can understand it.
- 5:31Speaker 2: And so I sit here with like my hand on
- 5:34Speaker 2: my head and I'm like, how do you not understand
- 5:36Speaker 2: what she's doing? Okay, I guess you just live in
- 5:40Speaker 2: that bubble. But we'll bring them in.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess Ultimately I'm fine. But there's nothing they
- 5:45Speaker 1: could come in and say to me that's gonna make
- 5:47Speaker 1: me like go home and cry.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Unless they actually have deep seated dislike for me, then
- 5:52Speaker 1: that's different. Then that's something I don't The thing is,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't think that they do.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I don't think they can. You literally can't because you
- 5:58Speaker 2: don't know who you are. You don't that's just if
- 6:02Speaker 2: it's kind of like somebody on the internet right now,
- 6:03Speaker 2: if they just hate me, I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 6:05Speaker 2: like that sucks. But I literally don't know you and
- 6:08Speaker 2: you don't know me, so it's kind of a weird
- 6:09Speaker 2: place to put your hate.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's because you represent something that they have
- 6:13Speaker 1: a history with, and I think just being in this position,
- 6:15Speaker 1: it takes a couple of years for you to get
- 6:17Speaker 1: those scabs over those emotions, whereas people will project so
- 6:21Speaker 1: many things on you that at some point it starts
- 6:24Speaker 1: to feel not normal, but it's it stops feeling like
- 6:27Speaker 1: this is a personal attack.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, you see, it's like that's them literally projecting, Yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 2: I poke something in you that hurts, and so you're like, ah,
- 6:35Speaker 2: I gotta tell you about that hurt, but I'm gonna
- 6:37Speaker 2: make it seem like you're the worm that did all
- 6:39Speaker 2: the wrong exactly.
- 6:40Speaker 1: So when I hear you know, bury that bitch or
- 6:42Speaker 1: I hate that bit, like, it doesn't feel personal because
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't really understand this is this is something,
- 6:47Speaker 1: but it's not about me.
- 6:48Speaker 2: What about those names, though, because I feel like when
- 6:50Speaker 2: I hear those names, I'm like, god, man to call
- 6:52Speaker 2: somebody like a bitch, I'm like, ah, different style of radio.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I know those guys do it all the time. Yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 2: I never do that because it just feels way too
- 7:02Speaker 2: cringe derogatory. I don't like it. How does it hit you?
- 7:04Speaker 1: My opinion is that the word bitch, when it's used
- 7:08Speaker 1: towards a woman by a man, it hits.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Derogatory with me.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But I also recognize that that's a word they're probably
- 7:15Speaker 1: really desensitized to. And so back to what we were
- 7:20Speaker 1: saying with our video, if you take ten seconds to
- 7:22Speaker 1: really think about where they're coming from, they're not calling
- 7:25Speaker 1: me a bitch because I'm some crazy woman who has
- 7:28Speaker 1: wild opinions. That's just what they call women constantly. Do
- 7:32Speaker 1: I agree with it? Do I think women should be
- 7:33Speaker 1: called bitches by men? No? No, But I also recognize
- 7:37Speaker 1: that to them, when they say the word bitch, it's
- 7:39Speaker 1: not coming out as harsh as it's hitting with me.
- 7:41Speaker 2: That's okay, that's valid because I have heard their show
- 7:44Speaker 2: before and I hear that a lot.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, they call every woman a bitch, and so
- 7:48Speaker 1: I think it is derogatory. But at the same time,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I recognize that their intent is probably not to be derogatory. Well,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I mean, maybe it is to be derogatory, but maybe
- 7:59Speaker 1: they're so conceald they use it so consistently that it
- 8:01Speaker 1: feels more normal to them than it sounds to me.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just another word for them that they're going
- 8:06Speaker 2: to And if you didn't listen to that episode, I
- 8:08Speaker 2: did is broke down everything that they were kind of
- 8:10Speaker 2: talking about and did the little pieces. You could actually
- 8:12Speaker 2: listen to that on the last episode. But today I
- 8:15Speaker 2: want to talk about how you actually did go out
- 8:17Speaker 2: and Brace Tampa. You went all out in Brace Tampa
- 8:20Speaker 2: and it actually ended up biting in the ass. And
- 8:22Speaker 2: it seems like the worst way. But I think this
- 8:24Speaker 2: conversation is going to take the turn that I think
- 8:28Speaker 2: it needs based off of what you told me. Because
- 8:30Speaker 2: on Friday you were talking about how you're going out,
- 8:33Speaker 2: You're gonna get your hair, did you're gonna go out?
- 8:35Speaker 2: And the crappy thing was is I know, now, well
- 8:40Speaker 2: you know when you get your hair, did you want
- 8:41Speaker 2: to go show the town? And so you told me
- 8:44Speaker 2: and Alexia You're like, we should go out. Plans literally
- 8:47Speaker 2: fall through, Like that sucks.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yeah, this story I'm about to tell you was actually
- 8:51Speaker 1: all you and Alexia's fault.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I feel like it is we are the problem. I'm
- 8:55Speaker 2: gonna play Alexia first. I'm just joking. But as I
- 8:58Speaker 2: saw Abby was like going out out, I was getting
- 9:01Speaker 2: my car fixed, and so I was like, ah, sorry, girl,
- 9:03Speaker 2: I ain't gonna be able to get out there. You
- 9:05Speaker 2: go have a great time out in downtown Tampa, which
- 9:08Speaker 2: you have a couple spots in mind, What spots did
- 9:12Speaker 2: you hit and up until the moment that you texted me,
- 9:17Speaker 2: what happened in that couple hour window.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So I'm a little annoyed because the one area of
- 9:23Speaker 1: Tampa that I have found that I really enjoy going
- 9:25Speaker 1: out to because I'm a city girl. Is I love
- 9:28Speaker 1: going to the part of Tampa that feels the most
- 9:30Speaker 1: like a walkable city to me, and.
- 9:32Speaker 2: That is Channel Side.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I recognize it makes me basic, it makes me
- 9:36Speaker 1: very transplant s.
- 9:37Speaker 2: That's the whole point of the area. It is beautiful.
- 9:40Speaker 2: The buildings are beautiful, the water is beautiful, the people
- 9:42Speaker 2: are beautiful, the food is beautiful. Like every part of
- 9:44Speaker 2: that was made to exactly that moment.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Every single time I go out to Channel Side by myself,
- 9:48Speaker 1: this is now two for two. There's always some kind
- 9:51Speaker 1: of major sporting event that ruins my plans.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, because that was the tournament for basketball.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yes, because last two weeks ago, I went out because
- 9:59Speaker 1: I'd got my hair. There's a pattern here. I got
- 10:01Speaker 1: my hair done and there was a lightning game. So
- 10:04Speaker 1: I'd pay sixty hours for parking and couldn't get in
- 10:08Speaker 1: anywhere that I wanted to sit down. I wanted to
- 10:09Speaker 1: go sit at the Pearl I have a little gab
- 10:11Speaker 1: with someone, and it was completely packed because it was
- 10:14Speaker 1: a lightning game. So I'd go to the addition, which
- 10:16Speaker 1: just wasn't really the plan. Whatever, it's fine. So then
- 10:18Speaker 1: on Friday, I was like, it's a beautiful day, it's
- 10:20Speaker 1: gorgeous out, my hair is done. I finally got my license.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I let me take my new license. Fir a spin.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna walk down to Channel Side and I'm gonna
- 10:28Speaker 1: get a Margara or I'm gonna do something by myself.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And so I get down the Channel Side. It's the
- 10:34Speaker 1: March Madness Tournament, which is so great. So I wore
- 10:37Speaker 1: my little UF hat and I'm like, maybe I'll find
- 10:39Speaker 1: some gators. It'll be great.
- 10:40Speaker 2: That'd that's smart?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Did you?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yeah? That intentionally like thinking I'm going to find somebody
- 10:45Speaker 2: and that's an easy connection. Boom. Yeah.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Well, first of all, I was like, I look cute
- 10:48Speaker 1: in this hat. Second of all, I was like, the
- 10:50Speaker 1: gators are literally playing.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I need to support.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Third, I'm like, this is a good conversation starter. So
- 10:54Speaker 1: I go to Channel Side.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It is a freaking madhouse.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Thank god I could walk to it, because I'm like,
- 10:59Speaker 1: if I had driven down there, no, absolutely not.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So I get down there.
- 11:01Speaker 1: It's a madhouse and I'm just trying to find an
- 11:03Speaker 1: open bar seat. So I'm walking past the addition I'm
- 11:07Speaker 1: walking past the Pearl. I'm walking past the place next
- 11:10Speaker 1: to the Pearl, that pizza beer place, and finally everything
- 11:14Speaker 1: is just I mean, it's like an ant hill, Like
- 11:16Speaker 1: that's how freaking packed it is. But it's such a
- 11:20Speaker 1: gorgeous day out, and I look so good that I
- 11:22Speaker 1: was like, I'm not sitting in my house. I'm not
- 11:24Speaker 1: sitting in my house today.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Look in this damn good.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So I walk past the pizza beer wings place that's
- 11:31Speaker 1: next to the Pearl, and I walk towards Sparkmanmhor, which
- 11:33Speaker 1: I have been once and I thought it was super cute.
- 11:35Speaker 1: So I'm like, I'm gonna go back to Sparkmanworf. So
- 11:37Speaker 1: I go to Sparkmanwharf and I'm like, you know what
- 11:39Speaker 1: sounds really good right now is a fat margarita. And
- 11:43Speaker 1: I find an empty bar seat, and I asked the
- 11:45Speaker 1: guy sitting there. I was like, it's anyone sitting there? Like, no,
- 11:47Speaker 1: you are, So I sit down and I immediately get
- 11:50Speaker 1: start getting chatted up by the guy to my left,
- 11:53Speaker 1: the guy to my right. It's a it's a march men,
- 11:55Speaker 1: this duo. One's there to support duke. One's just there
- 11:58Speaker 1: to support his friend. They're in their mid forties. They're
- 12:01Speaker 1: being very nice to me, not in a creepy way,
- 12:03Speaker 1: but just chatty with me. The guy in my left
- 12:05Speaker 1: is my age, kind of a sweet, wholesome dude. And
- 12:10Speaker 1: I'm sitting there ordering my margarita and I'm having like
- 12:13Speaker 1: a lovely afternoon. I'm talking with these strangers. We're having
- 12:16Speaker 1: a good time. And then about halfway through my margarita,
- 12:20Speaker 1: the guy in my right goes, oh, we should take
- 12:22Speaker 1: a shot, and I was like, oh, okay, I'll take one.
- 12:24Speaker 1: He goes, what do you want, like a white tea,
- 12:25Speaker 1: green tea? And I said, no, I'm drinking tequila. So
- 12:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna stick with tequila because because the thing about
- 12:30Speaker 1: me is Tequila's my very even keeled alcohol. Vodka's a
- 12:34Speaker 1: different story. If you ever see me drinking vodka, something's amiss,
- 12:37Speaker 1: something is deeply wrong. Call me gaprasod I turn. You
- 12:41Speaker 1: know how everyone always says, oh, tequila makes me crazy,
- 12:43Speaker 1: makes my clothes fall off, all those things.
- 12:45Speaker 2: That's how I feel about vodka.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Wow, if I have too much vodka, I'm texting guys
- 12:49Speaker 1: I haven't spoken to in ten years.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I'm a savage. It's embarrassing.
- 12:54Speaker 1: It's not a fun drunk wine is sappy and cute,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and I'm commenting on all your Instagram stories. Tequila's bear
- 13:00Speaker 1: even keeled. And then vodka crazy Abby comes out.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Wow, wow, Oh.
- 13:04Speaker 1: What the point I'm trying to make with the shot
- 13:06Speaker 1: story is, I'm very cognizant about what I'm drinking and
- 13:09Speaker 1: how much I'm drinking.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I'm not like a I'm not somebody who.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Goes and gets hammered every weekend and comes back to
- 13:14Speaker 1: my house and doesn't remember what happens.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and so far you've just had you have what
- 13:17Speaker 2: you're one margarite in front of you. I have one.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I mean, granted it's a big margarita, of course, but
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm drinking it and I feel fine. I'm like, God,
- 13:23Speaker 1: I could probably do another one if I want it.
- 13:25Speaker 1: So anyway, I'm halfway through this margarita. I specifically asked
- 13:28Speaker 1: for the tequila because I'm trying to stick with one
- 13:29Speaker 1: alcohol because otherwise it makes me, it makes my stomach upset. Yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: so I take the Tila shot. I feel fine. I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: actually eating the guy's food next to me. He's sharing
- 13:38Speaker 1: his case a deal with me. Forty five year old
- 13:43Speaker 1: nice all right, No, no, no, it's not like that.
- 13:45Speaker 1: But like he's like, oh, he seemed actually very like
- 13:49Speaker 1: a good dude. People are talking about his divorce. I'm
- 13:51Speaker 1: asking him questions about his divorce. He's got a new
- 13:53Speaker 1: younger girl for He's like, my girlfriend's thirty and like,
- 13:54Speaker 1: that's a little weird. But because he's like facetiming, I
- 13:57Speaker 1: can tell that he's.
- 13:58Speaker 2: A good guy.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Because I I did something where I did that little
- 14:02Speaker 1: clap thing I do with my fingers that they do
- 14:03Speaker 1: on theve Island. Yes, and he was like, oh my god,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I need to tell my girlfriend about this. She'll probably
- 14:07Speaker 1: think this is so funny. I was like, send a
- 14:08Speaker 1: video of me doing it, and he goes. He doesn't
- 14:10Speaker 1: point it to me, he points it to himself and
- 14:12Speaker 1: he does it to his girlfriend and send it to her.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, that guy is someone being cognizant
- 14:17Speaker 1: about his girlfriend's feelings. Oh and that makes sense, yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 1: because something he just entered a video.
- 14:21Speaker 2: But I saw him do it.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I was like, oh, that's a that was a cognizant
- 14:24Speaker 1: move to not make her feel weird that he's sitting
- 14:26Speaker 1: there with me.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I's sitting next to a year So anyway, like.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Two hours later, they all leave. The guy to my
- 14:31Speaker 1: left leaves, the duo to my right leaves, and it's
- 14:34Speaker 1: just me and they've ordered me another margarita, and I
- 14:36Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, that's so nice. They covered
- 14:37Speaker 1: my tab. It was great.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Oh hell yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Literally, so I'm like, yeah, I'm I'm gonna like finish
- 14:41Speaker 1: this Margarite's gonna be great. But then I have about
- 14:43Speaker 1: three SIPs of that next margarita and something is a miss,
- 14:48Speaker 1: something dangerous is a foot at the circle k in
- 14:50Speaker 1: my stomach. Oh my, and I start going I think
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna throw up, which is so weird because literally
- 14:55Speaker 1: the timeline is I left my house around four forty five.
- 14:59Speaker 1: It's it's now maybe seven pm. So I've had one
- 15:02Speaker 1: margarita and a shot.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Of tequila and a two hour window.
- 15:06Speaker 1: In a two hour window and a taco, so like
- 15:09Speaker 1: it's not like I'm on an empty stomach. I'm eating,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I'm drinking, I'm doing all the things, chips, case, all
- 15:14Speaker 1: the things. And I start to think something is dangerously wrong.
- 15:19Speaker 1: So I call my uber. The uber takes me to
- 15:22Speaker 1: my house. I get out of my uber and I
- 15:24Speaker 1: don't know. If I'm looking back on this, I'm like,
- 15:26Speaker 1: was I so drunk that I was like standing outside
- 15:29Speaker 1: the car for too long?
- 15:30Speaker 2: Which I don't think that I was.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But anyway, I get.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Outside the car, the door's open.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to shut the door, and the Uber driver
- 15:36Speaker 1: jets off like and I'm literally screaming, I'm like, dude,
- 15:39Speaker 1: your car door, and so he pulls back around. He
- 15:43Speaker 1: gets out of the car and like shuts the door.
- 15:45Speaker 1: What in the world so bizarre. I get into my house,
- 15:47Speaker 1: I get into the shower, and I cannot remember the
- 15:51Speaker 1: last time I was just drunk. And it's the most
- 15:53Speaker 1: bizarre experience because it's not like, oh I've been because
- 15:56Speaker 1: literally last weekend, my mom and I were marathon drinking
- 15:59Speaker 1: from and.
- 16:00Speaker 2: You guys came out with us and we didn't drink
- 16:02Speaker 2: it every single bar, yeah to twelve.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Pm, Like we were going, going, going, and I was
- 16:06Speaker 1: perfectly fine that day. So all of a sudden, I
- 16:09Speaker 1: go out to this Mexican restaurant. I have one margarita
- 16:12Speaker 1: and a shot of tequila, and I am the sickest
- 16:14Speaker 1: I've been in years off alcohol. Like I can't remember
- 16:18Speaker 1: the last time I got that sick.
- 16:20Speaker 2: See. The thing that comes to me immediately is like,
- 16:22Speaker 2: when you're telling me this, I was like, there's no
- 16:24Speaker 2: way that that would have equated to literally in the shower,
- 16:27Speaker 2: like throw it up. There's no way. One Margaret, I
- 16:30Speaker 2: don't care how big it could be, the Jumbo thirty two,
- 16:33Speaker 2: like the Bartenders specific, like, they don't make it that
- 16:36Speaker 2: strong and it takes you so long to drink it
- 16:38Speaker 2: that it kind of evens you out. Yeah, the first
- 16:41Speaker 2: thought was I was like, I don't I don't think
- 16:44Speaker 2: it's the restaurants like I do think though it's a
- 16:47Speaker 2: potential that you might have been drugged.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I've been drugged once, and this experience didn't feel like
- 16:53Speaker 1: being drugged to me.
- 16:54Speaker 2: You don't think how else would you have gotten so
- 16:56Speaker 2: sick so fast?
- 16:58Speaker 1: I don't know, because I didn't start feeling bad it
- 17:00Speaker 1: until I had the second margarita. And I do have
- 17:02Speaker 1: this theory about the second drink is do you ever
- 17:05Speaker 1: notice when you get a glass of wine, the first
- 17:07Speaker 1: poor is always like five ounces, and then you get
- 17:09Speaker 1: order a second glass of wine and they always fill
- 17:11Speaker 1: it to the brim. Oh yes, I wonder if because
- 17:14Speaker 1: the tab was covered maybe he'd already gotten a big
- 17:17Speaker 1: tip if the bartender gave me like a crazy amount
- 17:21Speaker 1: of tequila in the second drink, because I felt totally
- 17:24Speaker 1: fine until I started drinking the second market?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Did you finish the second market?
- 17:27Speaker 1: I had maybe three SIPs of it.
- 17:28Speaker 2: That's the part to me that I'm like, Okay, even
- 17:30Speaker 2: if it was that much tequila, I could, as somebody
- 17:33Speaker 2: that rarely drinks, I could probably do like a couple
- 17:35Speaker 2: of shots in tequila right now and be like, all right,
- 17:38Speaker 2: We're fine.
- 17:39Speaker 1: That that is the weird thing.
- 17:41Speaker 2: That's why I'm like, why would you get six so quick?
- 17:43Speaker 2: And to the extent that you're like even thinking, like
- 17:46Speaker 2: what happened? How did I get on a car? Like
- 17:49Speaker 2: what you told me? Like like it was was it
- 17:52Speaker 2: a little spotty when you went home? And like a
- 17:54Speaker 2: little I'll be honest with you, but here's the thing.
- 17:56Speaker 1: So I'll tell you my experience of being drug the
- 17:58Speaker 1: first time and the only time I've ever been drugged.
- 18:01Speaker 1: And I know that there are different date rape drugs.
- 18:05Speaker 1: H I think the one I was given was GHB,
- 18:08Speaker 1: And I'll tell you why. So the first time, this
- 18:11Speaker 1: was such a convoluted story. So I was twenty two,
- 18:14Speaker 1: is my first year post grad. I was living in Jacksonville.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I met this guy out that I was talking to mumble.
- 18:17Speaker 1: We date him form a couple months afterwards. It's like
- 18:19Speaker 1: the whole thing. But what I'm trying to say is
- 18:21Speaker 1: I wasn't drinking that much. I was having a couple
- 18:24Speaker 1: of vodka sodas and I was eating in between. I
- 18:26Speaker 1: remember I did get a little nervous at one point
- 18:28Speaker 1: where I started drinking a little bit more because I'm
- 18:30Speaker 1: talking to this guy and he's so cute. But here's
- 18:32Speaker 1: where things I noticed started getting really weird because I
- 18:34Speaker 1: wasn't able to stand up. So what's funny is I'm
- 18:37Speaker 1: talking to this guy that I've been talking to on
- 18:38Speaker 1: bumble and he's like so excited to ask me out.
- 18:41Speaker 1: And he's like, well, can we go out tomorrow? And
- 18:43Speaker 1: I was like sure, but you have to like ask me,
- 18:44Speaker 1: like you have to ask me out on a proper See,
- 18:46Speaker 1: he's so cute, and so he was so cute. He
- 18:48Speaker 1: got on one knee and like said, will you go
- 18:51Speaker 1: out with me tomorrow?
- 18:51Speaker 2: I mean it was just really fun. One am.
- 18:53Speaker 1: You know, we're both drunk, and so he stands up,
- 18:56Speaker 1: and in doing so, he kind of knocks me. He
- 18:59Speaker 1: jostles me a litle little bit, but not to the
- 19:02Speaker 1: point where it was like anything crazy. But I couldn't
- 19:04Speaker 1: stand up.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Good lord, So you're just and so there's all these.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Guys in this bar who think he's just pushed me.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Oh great, there's guys trying to fight him. My friends
- 19:13Speaker 1: are dragging me out of the bar. When I got home,
- 19:16Speaker 1: she's like, yeah, you were just Look. I was a
- 19:17Speaker 1: little mad about this because she was like, yeah, I
- 19:18Speaker 1: left because like you were just staring at me and
- 19:20Speaker 1: you wouldn't say anything. And I'm like, Okay, do you
- 19:23Speaker 1: not think that maybe something much wrong?
- 19:24Speaker 2: Like that's kind of a sign right there, I might
- 19:26Speaker 2: not be the same person.
- 19:27Speaker 1: But the reason I know I was drugged is a
- 19:30Speaker 1: because I couldn't stand up or really like move my
- 19:32Speaker 1: limbs and nonverbal. But I also woke up and there
- 19:36Speaker 1: was shit everywhere, like poop really, yes, all over my bathroom,
- 19:43Speaker 1: all over my bed, like I everything was cleared out.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Which when I told my friend that, my friend who's
- 19:50Speaker 1: a part of the community, I said, yeah, the only
- 19:52Speaker 1: time I've been drugged was I knew I was drugged
- 19:54Speaker 1: a because I couldn't stand went nonverbal. I've never really
- 19:59Speaker 1: blacked out before, don't remember anything, and I woke up
- 20:02Speaker 1: covered in shit and she was like, Oh, I bet
- 20:05Speaker 1: you they gave you GHB.
- 20:07Speaker 2: That is GHB.
- 20:08Speaker 1: GHB is a drug that I have been told by
- 20:11Speaker 1: this friend. And maybe I'm getting the drug name wrong,
- 20:13Speaker 1: but she said there is a specific drug that some
- 20:17Speaker 1: people in the community will use a because it clears
- 20:18Speaker 1: out your bowels, but be also you know, kind of
- 20:22Speaker 1: exhibits those.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Kinds of yeah, those symptoms.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Those symptoms as well, And so that didn't happen to me.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I just threw up like crazy. But I also didn't
- 20:30Speaker 1: have a ton of that drink, like I had like
- 20:31Speaker 1: two or three SIPs.
- 20:32Speaker 2: See that's the part that's just that's so crazy to me.
- 20:34Speaker 2: It's so scary. I had one friend at one time.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I remember like we went out to a bar in
- 20:38Speaker 2: Saint Pete and it was like maybe just one drink
- 20:40Speaker 2: in and all of a sudden they were just gone, yeah, gone,
- 20:44Speaker 2: like and I had a friend have to take them
- 20:46Speaker 2: home and everything like that, and I remember like, why
- 20:48Speaker 2: are they so belligit? And then we found out like, oh, yeah,
- 20:50Speaker 2: they're definitely drugged afterwards, like they they had like a
- 20:52Speaker 2: friend that was able to take them home and stay
- 20:54Speaker 2: with them, and they're okay, but it was it was
- 20:56Speaker 2: like a switch all of a sudden, They're falling all
- 20:59Speaker 2: over over all of a sudden, they can't really have
- 21:01Speaker 2: a good conversation with you, and I'm like, we've been
- 21:03Speaker 2: here for like ten minutes. This is insane. And that's
- 21:06Speaker 2: the part that's so terrifying. And that's where you know,
- 21:10Speaker 2: obviously it should never happen, but it sucks that it
- 21:14Speaker 2: happened on the one time that you're like, I'm well,
- 21:16Speaker 2: and again, I don't know what happened at the bar
- 21:18Speaker 2: on Friday, Yeah, but signs look very similar.
- 21:22Speaker 1: We really need to like put a disclaimer. I'm not
- 21:23Speaker 1: saying this bar drug being No, I don't think. No,
- 21:26Speaker 1: we didn't give the name of that.
- 21:27Speaker 2: No, there's no bars name of it. Again, it's like
- 21:28Speaker 2: it's not the bar that I think is the problem.
- 21:31Speaker 2: It's just like the bigger conversation is like you really
- 21:34Speaker 2: always have to be like, who the heck am I
- 21:37Speaker 2: sitting next to? What the heck are their intentions? Where
- 21:39Speaker 2: the heck is my drinking? I don't even at that
- 21:41Speaker 2: you don't even know.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I don't think those guys did anything because they left
- 21:44Speaker 1: and then they got the margarita. Do you. And I'm
- 21:48Speaker 1: not saying the bartender did anything either. I'm not even
- 21:50Speaker 1: saying my drink was drugged.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I just for me, it's just it sounds like
- 21:54Speaker 2: it might have been.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Yes, And I think it's good that I have. I
- 21:57Speaker 1: have really good survival instincts because.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I got to get an over immediately, just like because.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I immediately can clock when I feel sick, because
- 22:04Speaker 1: that's my body's reaction. If I had have too much
- 22:06Speaker 1: to drink, my body will instantly go into get it
- 22:08Speaker 1: out mode, which is great. Thank you, Thank you. Body
- 22:10Speaker 1: appreciated that. It's one of the reasons I don't like
- 22:13Speaker 1: weed is because when I feel like I get too high,
- 22:15Speaker 1: there's nothing you can do about it. Like you're just high,
- 22:18Speaker 1: that's just what it is. Whereas when you're too drunk,
- 22:20Speaker 1: I feel like my body goes, Okay, I need to
- 22:22Speaker 1: get this out.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, can get it out.
- 22:24Speaker 1: So anyway, it is scary. It does make me wonder
- 22:28Speaker 1: can I go out by myself? Like can I sit
- 22:31Speaker 1: and have a drink at a bar? Or a restaurant
- 22:33Speaker 1: and not be afraid of like something happening to me.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Oh see, that's so. And women have to face this
- 22:39Speaker 2: thought way more than men.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I like will, but men can get drugged too, absolutely.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I you know, it's it's foolish of me to think
- 22:46Speaker 2: that I can't go out and like have a moment
- 22:48Speaker 2: like this. Yeah, it's never happened. I'm very grateful. I'm
- 22:50Speaker 2: knock on the studio to desk for it, because it's
- 22:53Speaker 2: not something I even think about consciously. I'll walk around
- 22:55Speaker 2: like I was the other night when we went out
- 22:58Speaker 2: and after you all went, I went to another bar
- 23:00Speaker 2: and before my buddy got there, I just walk around
- 23:03Speaker 2: is bobbing with people with an open drink. I'm like,
- 23:05Speaker 2: at any point, bam, bam, it could just happen in
- 23:08Speaker 2: minutes and nobody would know. And it's how how do
- 23:11Speaker 2: you not how do you prevent? But how do you protect?
- 23:14Speaker 2: In that case? Like, because you should be able to
- 23:16Speaker 2: go out in downtown Tampa and say I'm gonna go
- 23:18Speaker 2: sit at a nice bar and have a drink and
- 23:20Speaker 2: feel like, no matter what, I'm protected.
- 23:21Speaker 1: And to be fair, nine point nine out of ten times,
- 23:24Speaker 1: I'm fine correct it just it only takes one time
- 23:28Speaker 1: for something to go wrong. And it is funny because
- 23:30Speaker 1: I'm such a proponent of buying those drug testing strips,
- 23:33Speaker 1: and I bring them every time I travel alone, but
- 23:36Speaker 1: I've never I always bring them with me and I
- 23:38Speaker 1: never use them because you know, we want to know
- 23:40Speaker 1: why I always have a false sense of security of
- 23:42Speaker 1: this place. Seems fine, Ah, that's the but you know,
- 23:46Speaker 1: am I gonna am I gonna test every drink I have?
- 23:49Speaker 1: Now when I go out by myself, I probably should. Yeah.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I think if you're going out alone, then yeah, it's
- 23:54Speaker 2: like if you're with friends or you have a friend nearby,
- 23:55Speaker 2: it's like, okay, god forbid. You guys are looking out
- 23:58Speaker 2: for each other. You know, you know this, you know
- 24:00Speaker 2: the things whatever. But if you're out of the bar alone,
- 24:02Speaker 2: you're like, all right, now, it's gonna take the quick,
- 24:03Speaker 2: little three seconds, a little dip this in here and
- 24:05Speaker 2: take it out and see what happens. I wish there
- 24:07Speaker 2: was a better way though, for like, because I do
- 24:09Speaker 2: love a classy drink where it like looks nice in
- 24:11Speaker 2: a glass. And then you know, I know there's some
- 24:13Speaker 2: bars that like don't now cover it to make sure
- 24:16Speaker 2: that nothing could be put in there. But I wish
- 24:19Speaker 2: there's just an easier way to protect or just feel
- 24:21Speaker 2: a little more secure if you are going out alone,
- 24:23Speaker 2: because there's so many nice bars you just sit at,
- 24:25Speaker 2: vibe at, and even if you're like getting pretty tipsy,
- 24:28Speaker 2: like that's still fun to do alone. No, I know
- 24:30Speaker 2: that's what I did, yeah, and like feel protected and safe. Yeah,
- 24:33Speaker 2: So I guess.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Maybe that's just what I need to do moving forward.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And maybe that'll make me look a little weird for
- 24:37Speaker 1: a minute at a bar. But I always think before
- 24:41Speaker 1: something really horrible happens, you get some kind of warning
- 24:45Speaker 1: shot like this Absolulu, and I don't want to be
- 24:48Speaker 1: in For example, I'm going to Italy next year. If
- 24:51Speaker 1: I'm sitting at a bar by myself in Italy, I
- 24:53Speaker 1: don't want to certainly be in a position to where
- 24:55Speaker 1: I wake up and I go I don't know where
- 24:57Speaker 1: I am and I don't know what's happened.
- 24:58Speaker 2: To me or I could be dead, you know what
- 24:59Speaker 2: I mean, like or being trafficked. Yeah, horrible. So what
- 25:02Speaker 2: is the link for these Like not the link, but
- 25:04Speaker 2: like what are these strips called? Because I've never seen
- 25:06Speaker 2: anybody pull these out. I've never seen these online.
- 25:08Speaker 1: You can get the money Amazon. They are really expensive, though,
- 25:11Speaker 1: are they really? That's what's crazy is like, oh my god,
- 25:13Speaker 1: so not only you're paying twenty dollars for a cocktail
- 25:15Speaker 1: every time you go to the edition. You know, this
- 25:17Speaker 1: is like a two dollars strip.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Okay, but I think that's actually very Again, if it's
- 25:22Speaker 2: you're going out, I would say by yourself, by yourself.
- 25:24Speaker 1: But the thing is is nowadays I do go out
- 25:26Speaker 1: a lot by myself because that's kind of what I
- 25:29Speaker 1: have to do. Like I'll be texting people will be like, Hey,
- 25:31Speaker 1: it's Friday. What do you guys want to do?
- 25:32Speaker 2: Alexia Scott, do you want to go? Nope, can't do it.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And this is what happened. I know, you see that
- 25:36Speaker 2: we don't go out one time. Next thing you know,
- 25:38Speaker 2: you're flying home in an uber throwing up in the shower.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I know, my bad.
- 25:42Speaker 1: So this is on you, Scott.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 25:43Speaker 1: It's definitely not the ten shots of tequila I allegedly had.
- 25:48Speaker 2: We'll go out to Top Club on Sunday. I'll go
- 25:50Speaker 2: up to that together. Who is this man that you're
- 25:52Speaker 2: sitting next to? The thirty year old, there's nothing there.
- 25:54Speaker 1: No, And I felt bad and all. This is again
- 25:57Speaker 1: prime example of me doing what I think women should do.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Is you don't embarrass somebody in public, but then you
- 26:03Speaker 1: shut them down in private if you're not into it.
- 26:05Speaker 1: So this guy was sitting next to me, to my left,
- 26:07Speaker 1: and he was about my age and super sweet guy,
- 26:10Speaker 1: just not not described.
- 26:12Speaker 2: What does he look like?
- 26:12Speaker 1: No? What was it wrong with describe what? He's a
- 26:17Speaker 1: nice dude, He's in his thirties, tall, pale skin, good conversation. Yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you're a sweet guy, I mean, like very much, just like
- 26:25Speaker 1: friend vibes.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Was he already sitting there?
- 26:27Speaker 1: When he was already sitting there, so I'm like, oh,
- 26:29Speaker 1: he probably thought I came to sit down next to him,
- 26:31Speaker 1: but I was like, no, I just want to order.
- 26:33Speaker 2: That was the only spot. So what was it like
- 26:36Speaker 2: that you knew like maybe he was possibly interested. I
- 26:38Speaker 2: mean you can just tell them, you know, like yeahsk
- 26:40Speaker 2: guys were not really secretive about it.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Here there was a moment and I don't mean this
- 26:45Speaker 1: in a derogatory way, but I don't I didn't think
- 26:47Speaker 1: he was interested in women. If it gives you any
- 26:49Speaker 1: kind of vibe and so when he he literally left
- 26:52Speaker 1: the bar and then came back and was like, you
- 26:53Speaker 1: know what, I want to get your number. And I
- 26:54Speaker 1: was like, oh, good for him, you know what, to
- 26:57Speaker 1: be fair, good for him.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yeah, most guys don't like that. That's a thing that's
- 27:00Speaker 2: been talked about so much recently is most guys, especially
- 27:04Speaker 2: under twenty five, have never asked out a girl. Yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 2: they've never asked out somebody. They never asked for a number. Like,
- 27:09Speaker 2: it's just something that is not being done anymore. And
- 27:12Speaker 2: so I do love when you talk about this because
- 27:14Speaker 2: I think it's something I wish more women talked about,
- 27:17Speaker 2: because it's scary as a dude ycause usually right now,
- 27:20Speaker 2: it's like you're made to look like the freaking fool.
- 27:22Speaker 2: And so that's what stops us from doing it. We're
- 27:23Speaker 2: like at a bar, we see a pretty girl and
- 27:25Speaker 2: she's with friends. So the option is your brain's like, man,
- 27:29Speaker 2: I would love to, but my brain goes to the extreme.
- 27:32Speaker 2: It's like you're gonna go, You're gonna ask. They're all
- 27:34Speaker 2: literally gonna look at you, look up and down, make
- 27:36Speaker 2: you feel like a worthless piece of shit. They're gonna
- 27:38Speaker 2: turn and they're gonna.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Laugh, Like that's literally what your brain plays out.
- 27:41Speaker 2: So the fact that you're like, no, I'm not not
- 27:43Speaker 2: gonna embarrass you in public. No, I want to make
- 27:46Speaker 2: sure that you feel confident and comfortable and know that
- 27:48Speaker 2: it's okay to do. But it's also okay for you
- 27:51Speaker 2: to say, well, I'm not also I'm not interested.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah, because I don't think women should be obligated to
- 27:55Speaker 1: give men their attention.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I think ultimately weird in a generation where guys weren't
- 28:01Speaker 1: really there was no incentive for guys to make that
- 28:04Speaker 1: move in person, and so they never really learn those
- 28:07Speaker 1: skills to make those moves.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yeah, to get comfortable in that space. Yeah, a couple
- 28:11Speaker 2: of times. And that's like, I don't know how many
- 28:13Speaker 2: dudes listen to this podcast, but I will tell you,
- 28:15Speaker 2: Like me and my buddy we do a thing where
- 28:16Speaker 2: it's like, every time we go out in public, the
- 28:17Speaker 2: goal is to talk to at least one person. Yes,
- 28:19Speaker 2: because it's a muscle. The more you use it, the
- 28:21Speaker 2: stronger and the more comfortable you will get with it.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And same with rejection too, Like exactly like when we
- 28:27Speaker 1: were talking about the podcast earlier about how them saying
- 28:30Speaker 1: kill that bitch or whatever on air doesn't bother me.
- 28:32Speaker 1: It's because that's a muscle that's been flexed before five
- 28:34Speaker 1: years ago that might have really upset me doesn't bother
- 28:37Speaker 1: me now. And I think men need to be and
- 28:41Speaker 1: I'm I'm saying men specifically because I do wish more
- 28:43Speaker 1: men would approach, whereas I know a lot of women
- 28:45Speaker 1: that now have to take that lead because they're not
- 28:47Speaker 1: getting approached. Is to know that rejection is a possibility,
- 28:52Speaker 1: but that when it happens, it's just rejection. Like it's
- 28:55Speaker 1: not me saying I think you're an unworthy person who
- 28:58Speaker 1: shouldn't have loved because at the end of the day,
- 29:00Speaker 1: I'm hoping that by me giving you my number that
- 29:03Speaker 1: one time, the next time you sit next to a
- 29:05Speaker 1: girl that is interested in you, you have the courage
- 29:10Speaker 1: to say, hey, I want to go out with you
- 29:12Speaker 1: or ask for your number, and hope you know that
- 29:15Speaker 1: the worst thing that can happen is exactly what I
- 29:17Speaker 1: just did was go hey, I'm not really interested.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Boom from the comfort of your couch. Yes. And I
- 29:22Speaker 2: think that's the biggest thing that we need to remind
- 29:24Speaker 2: ourselves of is you know, it's literally not the end
- 29:26Speaker 2: of the world, and don't take it too personally. You're
- 29:28Speaker 2: not everyone's going to be your wife. Not everyone's going
- 29:29Speaker 2: to be your husband, Like, but you have to be
- 29:31Speaker 2: able to step into the arena to play the game,
- 29:33Speaker 2: step into the arena. So he asked you for a number,
- 29:36Speaker 2: you give it to him, and there was just nothing
- 29:38Speaker 2: there and he texted you later. Did you tell him
- 29:40Speaker 2: then that you weren't interested or did you tell him later?
- 29:42Speaker 1: I think I said I was seeing somebody because I
- 29:43Speaker 1: wanted to. I was hoping he would read between the
- 29:45Speaker 1: lines that I'm not interested, but I wanted to give
- 29:47Speaker 1: him something to hang on to that it wasn't personal,
- 29:50Speaker 1: because I do. Like that's hard because he wouldn't have
- 29:53Speaker 1: asked if he knew I wasn't interested. But also like,
- 29:56Speaker 1: I don't want to convey to you that I'm not interested,
- 29:58Speaker 1: because I'm happy to talk to you with bar and
- 30:01Speaker 1: be friendly, but it doesn't necessarily mean I want to
- 30:04Speaker 1: date you.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I like that it's a respectful way to
- 30:06Speaker 2: politely decline instead of like dropping your drink and looking
- 30:09Speaker 2: at them laughing and then walking away. That's what I mean.
- 30:12Speaker 2: That's my biggest fear.
- 30:13Speaker 1: I know but and everyone thinks it's gonna happen, like
- 30:15Speaker 1: it's literally not gonna happen.
- 30:16Speaker 2: No, it's not, and it very rarely does. And now
- 30:18Speaker 2: I've gotten to the point where I'm like, if that
- 30:19Speaker 2: does happen, that's not a met problem, that's a that's
- 30:21Speaker 2: a problem. What the hell is wrong with you? That's
- 30:23Speaker 2: what I mean. Make me feel like I what embarrassed? Okay,
- 30:27Speaker 2: enough of you. But we are going out to do
- 30:29Speaker 2: another social activity and that's Tub Club. We've talked a
- 30:31Speaker 2: lot about. We're finally confirmed this upcoming Sunday.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I'm so excited to go to Top Club.
- 30:36Speaker 2: I have been looking at their instagram now because I
- 30:38Speaker 2: saw you were following their Instagram, and initially I was like,
- 30:41Speaker 2: oh my god, the people there are beautiful, and I
- 30:46Speaker 2: wonder if because of course that's m there's probably hundreds,
- 30:52Speaker 2: if not thousands of people that are going to these events,
- 30:54Speaker 2: and their marketing team, it just seems like every photo
- 30:57Speaker 2: they put like post up, I'm like, did they hire
- 31:00Speaker 2: models to be a part of this? And I'm like
- 31:02Speaker 2: it's ridiculous, And at first it honestly does intimidate me.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm getting in the tub with the guy
- 31:07Speaker 2: that was on Love Island, like I've done that before. Oh,
- 31:12Speaker 2: I don't know who the heck it was, though, this
- 31:13Speaker 2: guy's beautiful. He had a great head of Harry was
- 31:15Speaker 2: on like some reality show.
- 31:16Speaker 1: And he seems really sweet too.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Oh my god. But I'm like sitting there, I'm like, Okay,
- 31:21Speaker 2: this is ridiculous. This dude's literally on TV. Like that's crazy.
- 31:24Speaker 2: But I am excited to go one because I think
- 31:26Speaker 2: there's a lot of other people that are probably like
- 31:29Speaker 2: not TV models, but just normal folks that are just
- 31:31Speaker 2: getting out hay s Ormies like us is Normy's like
- 31:34Speaker 2: us just doing a nice social activity. And I love
- 31:36Speaker 2: it because it's health but also social because most of
- 31:40Speaker 2: the time right now it's like to go out and
- 31:41Speaker 2: be social. Sometimes it takes away from your health. This
- 31:44Speaker 2: is like the best it's in the day you're getting
- 31:46Speaker 2: Like I think Gateway Subs is out there giving away food.
- 31:48Speaker 2: They got coffee vendors, they got tubs, and they got
- 31:50Speaker 2: a DJ so you could dance and in the day
- 31:52Speaker 2: not losing sleep.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I know, I'm excited, and I think we should issue
- 31:55Speaker 1: a challenge to ourselves because I know your challenge is
- 31:58Speaker 1: probably how many people can we be home friends. I'm like, no,
- 32:00Speaker 1: I think our challenge we need to try and get
- 32:05Speaker 1: our photo posted on the top club page.
- 32:07Speaker 2: That's a good challenge.
- 32:09Speaker 1: We need to look so ungodly hot. On Sunday, I'm
- 32:12Speaker 1: gonna get Bronzer. So Scotty and I are going to
- 32:15Speaker 1: Solid Core on Wednesday. Oh my gosh, we have a
- 32:18Speaker 1: busy week together.
- 32:18Speaker 2: We have. I'm amazed you're not tired of me yet.
- 32:20Speaker 2: That's actually really good. We'll get there.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Okay, No, Tuesday, We're going tomorrow, So when you're hearing this,
- 32:27Speaker 1: it'll be today. Okay, assuming you're listening on Tuesday. So Tuesday,
- 32:32Speaker 1: we are going to the Lightning Game on the twenty fourth.
- 32:34Speaker 2: What are we doing for that? We're gonna go, Well,
- 32:36Speaker 2: we're getting like they hooked us up, so we're going
- 32:39Speaker 2: to like the club level where it's like unlimited food
- 32:41Speaker 2: and drink, which, my.
- 32:42Speaker 1: God, I can't wait.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Crazy z.
- 32:44Speaker 1: We're gonna have to pre record the show on Wednesday.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Actually, we should talk to the boss about that. That's
- 32:48Speaker 2: a really good idea.
- 32:48Speaker 1: We really at least like the first hour.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Yeah, just to give ourselves a little second to breathe.
- 32:54Speaker 2: So then we're doing I think before we should hit
- 32:56Speaker 2: the place that you like. What was it Beacon at
- 32:58Speaker 2: the Top, honestly like to go to like.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Or we should do the Pearl. We should sit at
- 33:03Speaker 1: the Pearl. You want to go? The thing is it's
- 33:05Speaker 1: a madhouse downtown, Like, I don't even know if we'll
- 33:08Speaker 1: be I could maybe try and get us the reservation,
- 33:09Speaker 1: but why would we do that.
- 33:11Speaker 2: We're going to get free food at the club at
- 33:12Speaker 2: least one cocktail. We should always do one cocktail before.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Let me see if I can get us a reservation.
- 33:16Speaker 2: We should always do like. I just love the always
- 33:19Speaker 2: I'm the drinking expert. No, we should go and either
- 33:22Speaker 2: go to the Pearl or to the rooftop at the Marriotte,
- 33:26Speaker 2: which is so Beacon Beacon Beacon's great. I've never been
- 33:29Speaker 2: to the Edition, but I don't know if we'll be
- 33:31Speaker 2: dressed for the addition.
- 33:32Speaker 1: No, but I also I don't really care.
- 33:34Speaker 2: You don't care for the addition or you can't don't care.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I don't care if they judge us.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, I don't either. I would like to
- 33:39Speaker 2: go before.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Because I know we're also shooting video footage for sales
- 33:42Speaker 1: and so I'm like, do I need to wear something
- 33:43Speaker 1: under my lightning jersey?
- 33:45Speaker 2: No?
- 33:46Speaker 1: To like, oh look with the addition, I look normal,
- 33:48Speaker 1: and then I put the jersey on over it.
- 33:50Speaker 2: I guess we could. We'll talk to Alexei about it
- 33:51Speaker 2: and what we want to do with this.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Video because I have a really great outfit. I want
- 33:54Speaker 1: to wear a channels do you want to wear it
- 33:56Speaker 1: that night? And I could put a jersey over it?
- 33:58Speaker 2: Okay, so we can put the jersey in the car
- 34:00Speaker 2: and just have it like ready to go do one drink,
- 34:02Speaker 2: Go put the jersey and go to the game. Yeah, okay,
- 34:04Speaker 2: that would make sense. I can only do so many
- 34:06Speaker 2: spots though, like I'm gonna be I'm a lightweight. I
- 34:09Speaker 2: cannot do all that I can do, like one cocktail.
- 34:11Speaker 1: And allegedly I am too. Yeah, so, Marguerite, I'm blacked out.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I'm actually only gonna do mocktails. But it's Tuesday light,
- 34:17Speaker 2: so we're not drinking tomorrow, not to marrow. No we are.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Yes, you said you're only doing mocktails.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Well I kind of lied. I might do one cocktail, okay,
- 34:27Speaker 2: just one. I might do two. It make you two.
- 34:30Speaker 2: We're gonna be in the club. So it's gonna be
- 34:32Speaker 2: a couple, but it's gonna be fun. We'll have a
- 34:33Speaker 2: whole video out about it. We did try to get
- 34:35Speaker 2: we'll see where. I just got a text back from
- 34:38Speaker 2: one of our bosses here about trying to get us
- 34:39Speaker 2: some cool lightning jerseys for it. We'll see if that
- 34:42Speaker 2: actually goes through.
- 34:43Speaker 1: So time, what time is the game tomorrow?
- 34:46Speaker 2: Ask me a lot of questions that I don't have
- 34:47Speaker 2: the answer to.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I need you to google them.
- 34:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna look at the tickets and my wallet. I
- 34:52Speaker 2: think it's probably seven. It's a Tuesday game, it's at seven.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna okay. So let's say we go down at four,
- 34:56Speaker 1: four thirty, mm hmm. All those places aren't gonna be
- 34:58Speaker 1: open until five.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Five, seven thirty. The games at seven thirty.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I bet we could get in somewhere right at five,
- 35:05Speaker 1: we going over to the try the pearl The Pearls
- 35:08Speaker 1: Bar looked awesome, or what about the place that you like, Bulon?
- 35:11Speaker 1: We could probably try and get into Bulon. That'd be awesome.
- 35:14Speaker 1: At the bar at five it's probably fine.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think there's anybody going to be raging
- 35:18Speaker 2: in there because that's usually like what I hear it
- 35:20Speaker 2: is Friday night that's really crazy, or Saturday night that's
- 35:22Speaker 2: really crazy. Yeah, it's a Tuesday.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I was there on a Saturday night and it wasn't
- 35:25Speaker 1: that crazy.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Well, see that's seasons Seasons of change.
- 35:28Speaker 1: People are chilling.
- 35:29Speaker 2: That's right. Five point thirty. I think it'll be fine.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I'll be down for bulon. And we also got to
- 35:33Speaker 2: see what Alexia's schedule works up to to get us
- 35:35Speaker 2: over the bridge. I wonder if it's an uber kind
- 35:37Speaker 2: of day.
- 35:38Speaker 1: It's a walking kind of day for me.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Well not everyone has that luxury.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Well, you guys can park itt my place if you want.
- 35:43Speaker 2: And then walk over. We could stop by. What's that
- 35:46Speaker 2: we could do? Oh my god, it could be a
- 35:47Speaker 2: whole little bar tour like Jackson's. We could do a
- 35:51Speaker 2: little drink over there. Oh wait, no, no, no, no, okay,
- 35:55Speaker 2: I gotta I always get where you're at in Harbor Island.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Well, I mean you have to cross Harbor Islands.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Okay, then a side doesn't get a little cocktail there, Okay.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Tuesday Wednesday, solid Core got to get sexy for them
- 36:07Speaker 2: tub club Sunday. Yeah, and how do you expect to
- 36:10Speaker 2: get on. We need to see who their social team is.
- 36:11Speaker 2: I bet we can find who that is, Like who
- 36:13Speaker 2: does the photos?
- 36:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I think he.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Actually here's my grievance. Actually we brought this up before.
- 36:18Speaker 2: What this is actually gonna be the thing that stops
- 36:20Speaker 2: me from growing to chup club?
- 36:22Speaker 1: Yes? No, I want to go to top clubs.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Okay, Well you told me before we'd even started this
- 36:25Speaker 2: that you actually have to get a ticket. Yes, I
- 36:29Speaker 2: didn't know this was a thing. I thought you just
- 36:31Speaker 2: showed up. No, and you hopped in a tub. It's
- 36:33Speaker 2: thirty dollars. That's ridiculous. Thirty dollars for me to freeze
- 36:36Speaker 2: my ass off.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Well, it includes a workout class. Oh what kind of
- 36:40Speaker 1: class we're talkings? You want to do pilates with the
- 36:43Speaker 1: hot girls of Saint Pete. Where's your girlfriend coming?
- 36:47Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I don't have a girlfriend.
- 36:53Speaker 1: It could be me you your girlfriend.
- 36:56Speaker 2: It would be fun.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I guess Alexi, it will probably want to come to No.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I had check with her for club tubs, even
- 37:01Speaker 2: though she does. She just did the party at the
- 37:03Speaker 2: Moxie this past weekend, so I don't know if there's
- 37:04Speaker 2: another one which.
- 37:05Speaker 1: By the way, do we define what tub club is
- 37:07Speaker 1: or are we just calling it tub club and assuming
- 37:08Speaker 1: that people know.
- 37:09Speaker 2: So tub club is. I mean, it's a bunch of
- 37:11Speaker 2: cold plunges that they set up in a certain part
- 37:14Speaker 2: of town. It changes all the time, and like I said,
- 37:17Speaker 2: they have a DJ that goes out there. It's like
- 37:19Speaker 2: a dirty if you remember that in college, like a
- 37:20Speaker 2: day party. It's a dirty but no alcohol exactly, which
- 37:24Speaker 2: was awesome, Like that sounds right up my alley. But
- 37:26Speaker 2: it might have like herbal drinks. I think it might
- 37:28Speaker 2: have like like a TC thing. Possibly Again, I've never been,
- 37:31Speaker 2: but I'm just going off of vibes.
- 37:32Speaker 1: It doesn't look lame to me.
- 37:35Speaker 2: It does not look blame at all. It looks like
- 37:37Speaker 2: a club but just outside during the day.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 2: No, it's literally top club. It's like when I went
- 37:42Speaker 2: to an event and they are doing like public cold plunges,
- 37:45Speaker 2: I will say, and I bet they have it, you
- 37:47Speaker 2: know what. I'm gonna give them the benefit of that.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I bet they have them so pristine. But when I
- 37:51Speaker 2: went to this public event, those things get dirty so
- 37:53Speaker 2: quick and people roast me up. I don't know if
- 37:56Speaker 2: you're gonna be peeing in that cold water, because.
- 37:57Speaker 1: It does kind of the thought of it if you
- 37:59Speaker 1: get into Even though the water looks like I'm looking
- 38:02Speaker 1: at these videos and it doesn't look dirty to me.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I hope they have a system that helps people like
- 38:07Speaker 2: clean off beforehand, because we were doing a whole event
- 38:10Speaker 2: where it's like we were running and working out and
- 38:12Speaker 2: getting to these tubs and the water got so murky
- 38:14Speaker 2: and so dirty.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Okay, don't know you no.
- 38:17Speaker 2: We'll get through early though. And honestly, I'm not a
- 38:19Speaker 2: huge fan of they cold plunge anymore, so I'm just
- 38:21Speaker 2: doing it like one time, just to socialize. The cool
- 38:23Speaker 2: thing is that it opens the door for conversation very quick. Yeah,
- 38:27Speaker 2: oh my god, freezing my ass off.
- 38:29Speaker 1: How are you staying so warm?
- 38:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm really struggling. Is it your first time? Yeah,
- 38:32Speaker 2: that's my first time. That's really sweet. How did you
- 38:34Speaker 2: hear about it? I was listening to this podcast, Oh
- 38:36Speaker 2: which one unfiltered? Gott unfiltered?
- 38:39Speaker 1: Unlike this water? Which is weird? Or no, just like
- 38:41Speaker 1: this water.
- 38:42Speaker 2: This water is so unfiltered.
- 38:43Speaker 1: It girls, it's peed's sweat, it's probably clump of hair.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Mother into furious activities.
- 38:49Speaker 2: I bet it's so clean. Yeah, it's gonna be pristine.
- 38:51Speaker 2: It looks sexy, it looks very sexy. Is that what
- 38:53Speaker 2: gets you excited for?
- 38:55Speaker 1: My boyfriend's going to be a tug club.
- 38:57Speaker 2: That would be amazing.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Guys, I'm getting a boyfriend this weekend.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Are we manifesting it? How do we probably manifest We
- 39:02Speaker 2: don't have crystals.
- 39:03Speaker 1: You don't need to manifest something that's written in the star, Scotty.
- 39:06Speaker 2: I think that's what manifestation is. No, I think it's
- 39:08Speaker 2: the same into the universe. Hey, I see you. I'm
- 39:10Speaker 2: ready for you. They're just conjured.
- 39:12Speaker 1: You always do this moan thing. I know you're a
- 39:14Speaker 1: big moaner. No, I'm not manifesting. I'm not manifesting. I
- 39:21Speaker 1: am just announcing to the world. Hey, I'm getting a
- 39:24Speaker 1: boyfriend on Sunday. You're just letting the world know so
- 39:26Speaker 1: they're prepared. I feel it in my guts. I feel
- 39:29Speaker 1: it and every single one.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Do you think you're gonna meet them? Let me take
- 39:33Speaker 2: me to the scenario that's gonna happen on Sunday.
- 39:35Speaker 1: He's gonna look at me and he's gonna be like, Wow,
- 39:37Speaker 1: that girl looks naked and afraid.
- 39:39Speaker 2: She literally is naked and she is afraid.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you don't show up naked for context
- 39:43Speaker 1: for people like what are they talking about? You wear
- 39:45Speaker 1: like spandex and a sports bra or like I might
- 39:48Speaker 1: wear running shorts.
- 39:49Speaker 2: I haven't decided yet. Yeah that sounds about right.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and you just get in the cold tub. But
- 39:54Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, you show up and you're freezing, like shivering.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yeah, so he sees you as you walk up, and.
- 40:01Speaker 1: You're like, she's like rail she looks like a small
- 40:05Speaker 1: Victorian child dying from tuberculosis.
- 40:08Speaker 2: She walking up next to this random man. I bet,
- 40:10Speaker 2: I bet they're together and they're gonna have to do
- 40:12Speaker 2: the whole thing where it's like, no, we're not, we
- 40:15Speaker 2: work together. What do you guys do a radio show?
- 40:19Speaker 2: Oh that's really cool.
- 40:20Speaker 1: That's why you have to bring your girlfriend, because me
- 40:22Speaker 1: and you look too much like siblings to where they'll go,
- 40:24Speaker 1: oh that's her brother. But if you bring your girlfriend.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Well now it's me and two girls, then actually then
- 40:31Speaker 2: I get all the attention to the guys. So like,
- 40:33Speaker 2: that guy's got to going. He knows how to do
- 40:35Speaker 2: this thing. It's challengers, that's right, guys to learn from me.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but then if I bring Alexia, then people might
- 40:40Speaker 1: be like, oh my god, that's her girlfriend.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Unless Alexia brings her husband. And now, yes, now we're
- 40:47Speaker 2: a polycule. We we live in a compound together.
- 40:50Speaker 1: What if I got a hat that just says I'm single,
- 40:53Speaker 1: please talk to me.
- 40:54Speaker 2: I do wish more events did that more often. Not
- 40:56Speaker 2: the hats, but like when you go out and they
- 40:57Speaker 2: give you like the wristbands or they give you the necklace.
- 41:00Speaker 2: That's just a quick indicator Boom, I'm single and I'm interested,
- 41:02Speaker 2: or yes, boom, I'm taking do not ask me out,
- 41:05Speaker 2: or maybe we'll see what happens. I love when events
- 41:08Speaker 2: do that, like just take down that wall really quick,
- 41:10Speaker 2: make it very easy for everybody, so you just know, like,
- 41:13Speaker 2: all right, I'm going to spend my time talking to
- 41:15Speaker 2: you with the intentions of asking out, not just talking
- 41:18Speaker 2: to you because I guess we could be great friends
- 41:20Speaker 2: at the end of this.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I'm just going to show up looking like the biggest
- 41:22Speaker 1: slutt at tub club. Remember the teeniest, tiniest spandex shorts,
- 41:27Speaker 1: the slutiest skankiest.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Sports brush, working it on pilates, just really putting in
- 41:32Speaker 2: but how much effort do you put in pilates where
- 41:34Speaker 2: it's like do you want to be like sweaty? Are
- 41:37Speaker 2: you going to what's the class I was.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Going to do that?
- 41:39Speaker 2: I was like super worried. I was just gonna be
- 41:41Speaker 2: dripping my face off. I think I was going to
- 41:43Speaker 2: do a dancing class and I was like, boom, boom,
- 41:45Speaker 2: Well I sweat my ass off a zoom but too. Yeah,
- 41:47Speaker 2: but I was going to do like a dance lessons class,
- 41:50Speaker 2: and I was like, that's kind of sexy, but it's
- 41:52Speaker 2: not sexy when I start dripping sweat. I sweat so easily.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I don't sweat that much of pilates.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Must be nice if you do. I think it's like
- 41:59Speaker 2: a glistening thing. Well, we'll find out on Sunday when
- 42:01Speaker 2: I'm trying pilates. So this Wednesday, I'm going to do
- 42:03Speaker 2: a warm up pilates to see how that actually goes. No, no, no, no,
- 42:06Speaker 2: solid core is not the warm up. Well as in
- 42:08Speaker 2: it's gonna be my first experience ever doing it.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I cannot Actually you're gonna die. I just saw the
- 42:16Speaker 1: run club for mffors who don't run. They posted a
- 42:18Speaker 1: video of all the guys doing jet set pilates and
- 42:21Speaker 1: just seeing them die was so.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Funny. Oh good, that's actually you're bringing me for the cost.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Valid No, I think you'll enjoy it. And also I
- 42:30Speaker 1: get these free buddy passes. I'm like, I gotta do
- 42:32Speaker 1: something with it.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Bring up, buddy, I'm the buddy, You're my buddy.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Even Also, I've realized I enjoy going to solid core
- 42:39Speaker 1: more on the weekends when I go to Hyde Park
- 42:42Speaker 1: because it does feel a little bit more like a community.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Every time I go to the one on like in
- 42:47Speaker 1: Saint Pete, it doesn't feel as like cohesive group wise,
- 42:51Speaker 1: and maybe just because I vibe with the Hyde Park
- 42:52Speaker 1: people better not that God, now, no it.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Is I think I actually sound bad. No, no, no,
- 42:58Speaker 2: it does not sound bad because I think this is
- 43:00Speaker 2: something that I've walked into gyms or other spaces in film.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Sometimes people don't do the first out to reach and
- 43:05Speaker 2: then like you have to be the one that's like, hi,
- 43:07Speaker 2: I got to start the conversation with everybody. Yeah, and
- 43:09Speaker 2: then I judge if then it's still not taken.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I think it's because the classes I go to on
- 43:13Speaker 1: Saturday and Sundays and Fridays are smaller because they're always
- 43:16Speaker 1: like Friday night classes. So I show up on Saturday
- 43:19Speaker 1: and it's me and one other girl, and the the
- 43:21Speaker 1: instructors like, hey, it's just y'all. And I was like, hey,
- 43:25Speaker 1: so you have no choice but to kind of pay
- 43:26Speaker 1: attention to the other person. And I thought it felt
- 43:29Speaker 1: more fun because I'm like, oh, this is sort of like
- 43:30Speaker 1: a private lesson because she can only pay attention to us.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Well, then you could can I'm surprised that, Like, how
- 43:35Speaker 2: does it when you get on your little machine, what's
- 43:37Speaker 2: it called the reformer? The reformer? Do you talk to
- 43:40Speaker 2: the girl next to you?
- 43:41Speaker 1: Now?
- 43:41Speaker 2: Okay, so I would like I even do that when
- 43:44Speaker 2: I go to cycling classes. I like, you know, a
- 43:45Speaker 2: little couple jokes on the bike, and then I would
- 43:47Speaker 2: like talk to the people around me. Now it doesn't
- 43:50Speaker 2: go anywhere further than that, but I'm like, what an
- 43:51Speaker 2: easy way. It seems like easy to like make a friend.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I think it's because it depends on the energy, because
- 43:57Speaker 1: when I go to the St. Pete one, it's like
- 43:59Speaker 1: two pm on a Monday. No, Like, I'm just trying
- 44:02Speaker 1: to get a work out and go back to work.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I'm exhausted by the end. That's the end of my day.
- 44:06Speaker 1: You well, Mondays, it's not Mondays. That's like the middle
- 44:08Speaker 1: of my day, and then I have to go home
- 44:09Speaker 1: and do more work. So but like if I go
- 44:11Speaker 1: on like a Thursday, it's like Thursday at two pm,
- 44:14Speaker 1: I just want to go home after this. I'm here
- 44:15Speaker 1: because I have to be here, and then I just
- 44:16Speaker 1: want to go home. Whereas Saturday and Friday, it's kind
- 44:19Speaker 1: of like I got nothing to do, so I'm more
- 44:21Speaker 1: like relax.
- 44:22Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, so that sounds like it would be
- 44:24Speaker 2: a good challenge, Like you need to go out for
- 44:26Speaker 2: like brunch with the next girl that you see at
- 44:27Speaker 2: the Saturday pilates.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I'm not gonna do that.
- 44:29Speaker 2: What do you mean? Why not? That sounds so fun.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Everyone's living their life, you know what I mean.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Like, but people are looking for friends and just waiting
- 44:35Speaker 2: for that person to go first. You could be the
- 44:37Speaker 2: one that goes first.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll go second.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Okay, Well that means nobody's.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Ever gonna go like I'll go home to mark Cats
- 44:44Speaker 1: respective homes.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Now, you'll be fine after you find a boyfriend. On
- 44:48Speaker 2: Sunday with tub club, I'm so.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Excited to meet my boyfriend on Sunday. That's what I'm
- 44:51Speaker 1: just gonna keep saying it. I'm just gonna keep saying it,
- 44:53Speaker 1: and I feel it in my gut. I'm so excited
- 44:55Speaker 1: to go to tub club because that's where I'm meeting
- 44:57Speaker 1: my boyfriend.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I do think it will be something in this world,
- 45:00Speaker 2: not in this world, but in this realm that will
- 45:03Speaker 2: be the place that you find something that you're actually
- 45:04Speaker 2: interested in. I don't think it's gonna be out on
- 45:06Speaker 2: a Friday night. I don't think it's gonna be like
- 45:08Speaker 2: bar hop, and I think it's gonna be like I
- 45:10Speaker 2: went to this random ass like Cold Plunge event and
- 45:13Speaker 2: then I just started chatting with this you know dude name.
- 45:16Speaker 2: You know, what's this hypothetical man's name, Zach?
- 45:21Speaker 1: I know Zach doesn't sit with my spirit. Well, really
- 45:24Speaker 1: give me another name. What do you think my boyfriend's
- 45:26Speaker 1: name is going to be?
- 45:27Speaker 2: Oh?
- 45:27Speaker 1: Okay, Because I think about.
- 45:28Speaker 2: This all the time, and I have a couple theories
- 45:30Speaker 2: about what your boyfriends name should be.
- 45:32Speaker 1: There are certain names that I'm like that sounds like
- 45:33Speaker 1: someone who would be my boyfriend.
- 45:35Speaker 2: I see an L. I see an L. An l
- 45:38Speaker 2: L like a Luke.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Oh, Luke, like a Luke.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Luke actually is a very strong man. The name Luke.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Actually there, you manifested Luke. We're meeting Luke on Sunday.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Oh no, no, Luke. If you think about it, kind
- 45:50Speaker 1: of sounds like Dookie.
- 45:54Speaker 2: It does not sound like Dookie. No part of Luke
- 45:57Speaker 2: sounds like Dookie.
- 45:58Speaker 1: You know what when I take too big of a
- 46:00Speaker 1: bye the yogurt, Yes, kind of like how I did
- 46:02Speaker 1: just right now. Luke does kind of sound like the
- 46:05Speaker 1: sound of me eating a big bitey yogurt.
- 46:07Speaker 2: That's why you'd like him. We want to take a
- 46:08Speaker 2: big bite of him. Come on, Luke, not Luky Luky.
- 46:14Speaker 2: So if you see him and he's dancing and his
- 46:16Speaker 2: name's Luke, send him Mabby's way. Luke. All right, So
- 46:19Speaker 2: I got to reach out. We got to actually reach
- 46:21Speaker 2: out about this thirty dollars cause I'm not paying thirty
- 46:22Speaker 2: dollars to go to clublub Tub club. You're not, absolutely not.
- 46:25Speaker 2: I'm not paying, girl. I got bills. I have bills
- 46:29Speaker 2: and we're talking about them on our podcast in our show.
- 46:32Speaker 2: I'm not paying thirty dollars.
- 46:33Speaker 1: You're gonna send them a DM and say, hey, you're
- 46:35Speaker 1: gonna send them a deal. You're gonna send them a
- 46:37Speaker 1: DM because I almost paid the thirty dollars last night.
- 46:39Speaker 2: You were just about to do it.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Yeah, happy, we have thirty dollars to meet my boyfriend Scott.
- 46:45Speaker 2: That's true. I spent a lot more to meet somebody
- 46:47Speaker 2: else that really interested in it feels only. I think
- 46:50Speaker 2: thirty dollars is just the first wine.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Are you gonna make me go to tub club by myself?
- 46:53Speaker 2: Absolutely not, but I'm going to make sure that we
- 46:55Speaker 2: get in for free.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Okay, I asked them.
- 46:56Speaker 2: They're gonna be like, absolutely not. We'll see if we
- 46:58Speaker 2: got rejected. What do I say? Though? It's like him.
- 47:01Speaker 1: We could ask chatchebt.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Producer Chat, We're going out to your club, tub tub Club?
- 47:07Speaker 2: What the hell is it called?
- 47:07Speaker 1: We would love to post about you on our social media.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we would want to, you know, give you access
- 47:12Speaker 2: to it. Oh jeez, that's plug ole or we're gonna
- 47:14Speaker 2: get arrested. Whatever. Well, we'll see how Sunday goes with
- 47:18Speaker 2: the adventure of top Club. Abby. What is your social
- 47:21Speaker 2: media so you can finish your yogurt? Oh my god,
- 47:24Speaker 2: I can't stand that noise. Could I just go ahead
- 47:27Speaker 2: and paint the picture the way that Abby each yogurt.
- 47:30Speaker 2: I have never seen someone takes so much yogurt on
- 47:34Speaker 2: a single spoonful. It's impressive. See Abby's gonna say I'm
- 47:37Speaker 2: judging her. I'm not.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I'm being efficient.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Efficiency is a great way to put it, because it
- 47:42Speaker 2: is a glob, a massive glob, and you're just like,
- 47:45Speaker 2: you're like, I'm gonna take this whole thing down. Hold,
- 47:48Speaker 2: And then I hear it in the microphone every single time.
- 47:52Speaker 1: I know. It's worse this morning because I I don't
- 47:54Speaker 1: know what is in my parents' house, but something in
- 47:57Speaker 1: that house is trying to kill me. It's a ghost,
- 47:59Speaker 1: it's someone either strangled me, or its allergies, or it's
- 48:03Speaker 1: like fumes from the paint. But I woke up with
- 48:06Speaker 1: just the worst pain in my throat this morning.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Have you been drinking water?
- 48:10Speaker 1: Yes?
- 48:11Speaker 2: Not enough. It's kind of like when like your partner says,
- 48:14Speaker 2: I have that age, It's like, did you drink water?
- 48:15Speaker 1: That's not how allergies works.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Might as well be everything comes down to water.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Literally.
- 48:20Speaker 2: That's why I have a doctor degree. All right at
- 48:22Speaker 2: Scott'savlin is mine and then follow along on the Magic
- 48:25Speaker 2: ninety four to nine Instagram. We'll see if we could
- 48:28Speaker 2: get Abby a boyfriend talk
