Speaker 2: for more than a century by radical progressives and liberals.

• 2:58

Speaker 2: You got to use a special website Hillsdale dot edu

• 3:09
Speaker 2: slash Morning Update. It's the forty seven Morning Update and
• 3:12
Speaker 2: it starts right now.
• 3:13
  Speaker 5: Story number one.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Liberals freaking out at the idea of giving someone three
• 3:20
Speaker 2: thousand dollars a holiday stipend for self deportation. The question
• 3:24
Speaker 2: all of us should be asking is why would you
• 3:27
Speaker 2: not be in favor of that. Democrats claim they're all
• 3:29
Speaker 2: about right humanity. They want to make sure that everyone's
• 3:32
Speaker 2: happy and safe and well taken care of. You know
• 3:35
Speaker 2: that the party of actually putting children in cages that
• 3:38
Speaker 2: was under the Obama administration now treating people like a
• 3:44
Speaker 2: human being, which is what Democrats have been obsessed with.
• 3:47
Speaker 2: Are again angry that we're saying, if you're willing to
• 3:50
Speaker 2: self deport, we will give you three thousand dollars holidays stipend. Now,
• 3:54
Speaker 2: this is running through the end of the year. It's
• 3:57
Speaker 2: a brilliant Trump policy, but it's also being sold as
• 4:01
Speaker 2: a small expense, is far less than the cost of
• 4:05
Speaker 2: chasing and deporting an illegal immigrant, And it comes amid
• 4:09
Speaker 2: the growing pressure of the economic issues that migrants. Illegal
• 4:14
Speaker 2: immigrants have put on this country, taking jobs away from
• 4:19
Speaker 2: American citizens, raising the cost of rent for American citizens,
• 4:23
Speaker 2: and raising the cost of home pricing for American citizens.
• 4:28
Speaker 2: The President said it this way during the Christmas season.
• 4:32
Speaker 2: The US taxpayer is so generously tripling the incentive to
• 4:35
Speaker 2: leave voluntarily for those in the country illegally, offering a
• 4:39
Speaker 2: three thousand dollars exit bonus. Now you only have to
• 4:43
Speaker 2: the end of the year. Christy Nome's saying illegal aliens
• 4:46
Speaker 2: should take advantage of the gift and self deport because
• 4:49
Speaker 2: if they don't, we will find them, we will.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Arrest them, and they will never return.
• 4:55
Speaker 2: Now, I think this is like one of the most
• 4:57
Speaker 2: humanitarian things I have ever heard, Right, I think this
• 5:01
Speaker 2: is amazing. There was a man that even filmed himself
• 5:04
Speaker 2: his deporting video at the airport to avoid being picked
• 5:09
  Speaker 2: up by ICE.
• 5:10
Speaker 1: He said that he.
• 5:11
Speaker 2: Doesn't feel welcome here anymore as an illegal immigrant. Now
• 5:22
Speaker 2: he's parked his car, he's got his pillow around his neck,
• 5:27
Speaker 2: and he's speaking into TikTok.
• 5:30
  Speaker 4: Right.
• 5:30
Speaker 2: The reason why I play this is because this, to
• 5:34
Speaker 2: me is like the best video that illegal immigrant could
• 5:37
Speaker 2: ever put out. Why One, they're basically admitting defeat. Two
• 5:41
Speaker 2: they're telling other illegal immigrants don't come here, it's not
• 5:45
Speaker 2: worth it. Right, the chance of you getting picked up
• 5:47
  Speaker 2: are very high. He's doing a p s A that
• 5:51
Speaker 2: is telling illegal immigrants to stop coming into this country.
• 5:56
Speaker 2: That is again another example of just how incredible this is.
• 6:00
Speaker 2: ICE putting out this Channel thirteen video self deported or
• 6:04
Speaker 2: be deported. The choice is yours, as they described it
• 6:08
Speaker 2: as a mother, a Columbian mother is self deporting with
• 6:11
Speaker 2: her kids next week after her husband had already been deported.
• 6:15
Speaker 2: And again this is great news because it's a walking billboard.
• 6:19
Speaker 2: You got an illegal from Guatemala say she may have
• 6:22
Speaker 2: to move home with her kids since her husband got deported.
• 6:24
Speaker 2: While waiting to work, waiting for work outside of a
• 6:27
Speaker 2: home depot, another example of self deportations. Again part of
• 6:32
Speaker 2: the story. Listen, This mother wants to be known as Mirabel's.
• 6:37
Speaker 2: She's not sure how much longer her six year old
• 6:40
Speaker 2: will still be playing with these kids here at Esperanza
• 6:43
Speaker 2: Elementary School. Mirabel is undocumented and now parenting on her
• 6:48
Speaker 2: own after her husband was detained while he looked for
• 6:51
Speaker 2: work outside of home depot. He's since been deported back
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: to Guatemala.
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: It's affecting their.
• 6:59
Speaker 3: Chill d and Marabel says as she speaks through the tears,
• 7:03
Speaker 3: the children have fear that makes them not want to
• 7:05
Speaker 3: go out on the street. But their one year old
• 7:07
Speaker 3: daughter was born in the US, and so was their
• 7:11
Speaker 3: six year old, who's now a first grader. Year right now,
• 7:14
Speaker 3: the district's enrollment stands that just over four hundred and
• 7:17
Speaker 3: nine thousand students. That's down four percent from last year,
• 7:22
Speaker 3: two percent more than what was projected.
• 7:25
Speaker 6: The projection for this year was off by a significant margin,
• 7:30
Speaker 6: and that margin is absolutely associated with federal immigration actions
• 7:35
  Speaker 6: in our community.
• 7:38
Speaker 4: For every single student, LAUS brings in about twenty thousand
• 7:42
Speaker 4: dollars in state and federal funds used to pay for
• 7:45
Speaker 4: variety programs many students use and benefit from.
• 7:50
Speaker 6: The loss is as high as one hundred and forty
• 7:53
Speaker 6: million dollars for a one single year. If that continues
• 8:00
Speaker 6: than year after year, then we're talking about a significant
• 8:04
Speaker 6: impact of the budgets.
• 8:05
Speaker 3: When you tell your daughter that you may have to
• 8:08
Speaker 3: pull her out of the school and move her to Guatemala,
• 8:11
Speaker 3: what does she tell you? She doesn't want to leave,
• 8:14
Speaker 3: Marrabel says, but her daughter may have no choice. Marabell
• 8:19
Speaker 3: can't afford to keep living in La much longer, so
• 8:23
Speaker 3: Esperanza is likely to lose one more student very soon.
• 8:28
Speaker 2: Again, this report I just played for you is exactly
• 8:32
Speaker 2: the best public relations campaign that Trump administration could have
• 8:37
Speaker 2: ever asked for. You can leave now. We will give
• 8:41
Speaker 2: you a three thousand dollars bonus. You can have a
• 8:44
Speaker 2: chance to come back legally and do it the right way,
• 8:47
Speaker 2: and if you don't, we will hunt you down. We
• 8:49
Speaker 2: will find you, and you will be gone now. The
• 8:55
Speaker 2: departure of economic migrants is also pressuring uncaring elites in
• 9:00
Speaker 2: the business. They say politics and government to help discarded
• 9:05
Speaker 2: Americans return to work, health, and prosperity this new report says,
• 9:08
Speaker 2: which again makes me laugh.
• 9:11
Speaker 1: You have the crazies out there.
• 9:12
Speaker 2: One of them said, quote, I feel like the system
• 9:14
Speaker 2: isn't broken, it's working against us. A young American with
• 9:19
Speaker 2: ten dollars left, shares a home with four roommates, lives
• 9:22
Speaker 2: off granola bars, drives a car she can't afford to fix,
• 9:24
Speaker 2: and watches rent bills and basing necesses wiped out of
• 9:28
Speaker 2: every paycheck. Wlin, Well, guess what when you are supporting
• 9:31
Speaker 2: people that are allowing for illegal immigrants to come into
• 9:35
Speaker 2: this country and take your jobs and drive up the
• 9:38
Speaker 2: price of housing and rent, this is what you get,
• 9:42
Speaker 2: which goes back to the question that I ask everyone,
• 9:46
Speaker 2: is it the best money we can spend? And showing
• 9:50
Speaker 2: compassion for illegal immigrants at the same time humanizing them.
• 9:54
Speaker 2: Democrats have said that Republicans will never do by giving
• 9:57
Speaker 2: them three thousand dollars to self deport. This is, by
• 10:02
Speaker 2: the way, I believe a incentive based program. Donald Trump
• 10:05
Speaker 2: understands incentive based programs and how powerful they can be,
• 10:10
Speaker 2: while also warning you that if you don't take this
• 10:13
Speaker 2: sweetheart deal, you've broken our laws and we're willing to
• 10:17
Speaker 2: fly you home and give you a bonus to do it.
• 10:21
Speaker 2: But if you don't do it right, this is important.
• 10:25
Speaker 2: If you don't do it, what's going to happen? Well, unfortunately,
• 10:30
Speaker 2: we're going to hunt you down, We're gonna find you,
• 10:33
Speaker 2: We're going to come after you, and you are going
• 10:36
Speaker 2: to lose. You will be deported and never allowed back
• 10:41
Speaker 2: in that right, there is exactly, I mean exactly what
• 10:47
Speaker 2: I voted for. And I was talking to some ICE
• 10:50
Speaker 2: agents gosh, forty eight hours ago and when this was
• 10:55
Speaker 2: becoming a thing, and I was like, all right, explain
• 10:58
Speaker 2: to me why I should be in favor of this
• 11:01
Speaker 2: or against it, And they all unanimously said, you don't
• 11:03
Speaker 2: understand the amount of time resources, court appearances, documentation, fingerprinting, processing,
• 11:12
  Speaker 2: even more paperwork.
• 11:13
Speaker 1: Then lawyers get involved.
• 11:14
Speaker 2: If if we catch someone at the home depot parking lot,
• 11:19
Speaker 2: the two thousand or three thousand dollars is a steal
• 11:24
Speaker 2: compared to what we pay while we hold them while
• 11:27
Speaker 2: we go through the process and then we deport them.
• 11:31
Speaker 2: It is also when we deport them, right, we're paying
• 11:34
Speaker 2: for that deportation flight. This is cheaper than that is
• 11:38
Speaker 2: they described it, and they said, if you could take
• 11:41
Speaker 2: tomorrow a million people and give them all three thousand dollars.
• 11:45
Speaker 2: It would be so much cheaper than what it would
• 11:47
Speaker 2: cost to deport a million people. And ultimately, if you're
• 11:51
Speaker 2: deporting these people and then the people who are taking
• 11:55
Speaker 2: their place are keeping their money in America in our
• 11:58
Speaker 2: systems as sending the majority of back home via Western
• 12:01
Speaker 2: Union to whatever country they came from, because the majority
• 12:03
Speaker 2: of legal immigrants do not keep their money in this country.
• 12:06
Speaker 2: That's also I think the thing really important that people
• 12:08
Speaker 2: need to understand. And so that's another part of the
• 12:12
Speaker 2: frustrating aspect of this.
• 12:14
Speaker 1: People are very, very very frustrated by this. Right.
• 12:20
Speaker 2: They're frustrated that the math is just so much cheaper
• 12:25
Speaker 2: if we do it this way. Are you rewarding bad behavior?
• 12:28
Speaker 2: Is how I asked the question. Well, but aren't we rewarding?
• 12:32
Speaker 2: They're like, look, if this is a revolving door, this
• 12:34
Speaker 2: would be a bad proposition, right, Like, we wouldn't advocate
• 12:38
Speaker 2: for this three thousand under the Biden administration because a
• 12:40
Speaker 2: lot of people just go back to see their family.
• 12:42
Speaker 2: You're paying for their trip back and then they're coming right,
• 12:45
Speaker 2: they're seeing right back in America. Well, we've locked down
• 12:47
Speaker 2: the border, like the illegal immigrants are not coming across
• 12:50
Speaker 2: the border. We have locked it down because of the
• 12:52
Speaker 2: leadership of Donald Trump. So they described it as now
• 12:56
Speaker 2: it's worth it to do it because you're getting a
• 12:58
Speaker 2: great bang for your buck. The other part is you're
• 13:01
Speaker 2: only doing this through the end of the year. It's also,
• 13:03
Speaker 2: they said, a psychological thing. Those who go to the
• 13:06
Speaker 2: front of the line and the good graces to leave
• 13:08
  Speaker 2: early are the.
• 13:09
Speaker 1: Ones that we're willing to look at when we come back.
• 13:11
Speaker 2: Okay, So like when we're going through the process of
• 13:14
Speaker 2: seeing who may get to come into this country, if
• 13:17
Speaker 2: you wait too long, not only do you lose the
• 13:19
Speaker 2: instead of the three grand, it drops back down to
• 13:21
Speaker 2: a thousand. But at some point you're going to get caught,
• 13:24
Speaker 2: as Christynome described it. And we've seen a lot of
• 13:25
Speaker 2: people get caught and then you get nothing. So there
• 13:28
  Speaker 2: is a there's a lot here, you understand, like, there's
• 13:32
Speaker 2: an awful lot of X factors here, And I think
• 13:34
Speaker 2: that's the important part when you're dealing with deportation and
• 13:37
Speaker 2: you're dealing with with time, paperwork, and part of this
• 13:41
Speaker 2: is it frees up for us to go after the
• 13:43
Speaker 2: hard criminals and the worst among us. If we have
• 13:46
Speaker 2: millions of people that are self deporting who may not
• 13:49
Speaker 2: be the hard criminals, that's another like massive perk. This
• 13:54
Speaker 2: is the fastest way to get people out, and then
• 13:58
Speaker 2: the dollars they were making are now going to Americans,
• 14:01
Speaker 2: and those dollars are staying in America in our economy,
• 14:04
Speaker 2: like three thousand. To get rid of someone who's taking
• 14:07
Speaker 2: up a home or an apartment and their money is
• 14:09
Speaker 2: not staying in America's economy is a no brainer. It's
• 14:12
Speaker 2: not just a tax dollars, it's the cash. The number
• 14:16
Speaker 2: one stimulus of Mexico's economy has been illegal immigrants sending
• 14:20
Speaker 2: money back to Mexico.
• 14:22
Speaker 1: It is outpaced oil production. So think about that.
• 14:26
Speaker 2: If you can have that amount of money stay in America,
• 14:30
Speaker 2: what does that do for our economy? Because the majority
• 14:33
Speaker 2: of legal immigrants that stay here, they do not keep
• 14:35
Speaker 2: all their money here. They send it home. It's a problem, man, Like,
• 14:39
  Speaker 2: it's a huge problem. And I hate that we're having
• 14:42
Speaker 2: to spend any money at all, but I know that
• 14:44
Speaker 2: we have to spend money to get rid of illegal immigrants.
• 14:47
Speaker 2: And if we're going out there to track them down,
• 14:49
Speaker 2: then it's a really big problem, and it costs a
• 14:52
Speaker 2: lot to do it. Incentivizing people to self deport with
• 14:55
Speaker 2: a three thousand dollars bonus, I would say why not?
• 15:01
Speaker 2: Like this is if we can get rid of a
• 15:04
Speaker 2: couple hundred thousand illegal immigrants by paying them three grand
• 15:08
Speaker 2: to get out of.
• 15:08
Speaker 1: Here, like, that's just money well spent.
• 15:10
Speaker 2: It's a lot cheaper than going after them, having to
• 15:13
Speaker 2: find them, dealing with all the deportations.
• 15:16
Speaker 1: Like it is that that is a hard thing to do.
• 15:21
Speaker 2: It takes money, it takes time, and everybody knows it.
• 15:27
  Speaker 2: It's a lot of cash. It's described as a three
• 15:29
Speaker 2: thousand dollars exit bonus.
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: Right.
• 15:32
Speaker 2: It's part of the voluntary self deportation program references Project Homecoming.
• 15:37
Speaker 2: Now here's the eligibility requirements. Because I asked for this,
• 15:40
Speaker 2: I'm going to go through them. So you understand, only
• 15:43
Speaker 2: undocumented immigrants people in the US without lawful immigration status
• 15:47
Speaker 2: are eligible. So that being illegal immigration, you have to
• 15:50
Speaker 2: have registration through the Department hid Security app. Individuals much
• 15:54
Speaker 2: register and arrange their departure using the Home the Home
• 15:57
  Speaker 2: smartphone app.
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: There's a part by deadline.
• 16:01
Speaker 2: The bonus would apply only if the individual voluntarily exits
• 16:04
Speaker 2: the country by December thirty first, so you got to
• 16:08
Speaker 2: go fast. The free travel provided, they say, the DHS
• 16:12
Speaker 2: wire arranged to pay for transportation flight for the person's
• 16:15
Speaker 2: home country as part of the offer as well. Then
• 16:19
Speaker 2: there are waivers of fines and penalties, so this is
• 16:21
Speaker 2: the incentivizing part. Okay, Participants quote may be eligible for
• 16:25
Speaker 2: forgiveness of certain civil fines or penalties tied to their
• 16:28
Speaker 2: unlawful presence if they voluntarily depart using the program.
• 16:32
  Speaker 1: The payment of.
• 16:33
Speaker 2: The flight are usually processed after departure is completed, all right,
• 16:37
Speaker 2: so there's a check and balance there with that. Some
• 16:39
Speaker 2: previous participants criticize delays or problems with receiving earlier versions
• 16:44
Speaker 2: of the payments because they won the money like immediately,
• 16:47
Speaker 2: like instagratification are upfront. They're not doing this now. The
• 16:51
Speaker 2: consequences are the incentive as well. DHS has said those
