- 1:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure now we're there, bro.

- 2:30[SPEAKER_11]: So, the first thing we wanted to talk about today,
- 2:33[SPEAKER_11]: Super Bowl, right?
- 2:34[SPEAKER_11]: It's just diving into the snooze fest that we call it a Super Bowl.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_11]: Seattle Seahawks wins.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_11]: Sam Darnell becomes the first quarterback out of that class to get the Super Bowl.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_11]: It's kind of crazy.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_11]: He did it against the Patriot, which you know, the scene Ghost meme came out of.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_11]: Talk about it.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_11]: Just like a full circle moment for Sam Darnell.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_11]: I think guys like him and even Baker to an extent
- 3:00[SPEAKER_11]: Genos Smith before them.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_11]: I think it's kind of like there's a development in a patient's problem in the league and like a guy like Sam Darnode was basically just cast away and now here he is winning a Super Bowl and looking like honestly like one of the top one, two, three, quarterbacks in the NFC.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_11]: So good for Sam Darnode, good for the C-hawks tough for the Patriots.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_11]: That was
- 3:31[SPEAKER_11]: It was terrible, this is, I, I, I turned it off.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_11]: So first of all, my life, I didn't watch the whole game.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_11]: I, I watched, I was watching into the Patriot scored and I was like, okay, maybe this will be worth watching.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_11]: And then the very next possession, the third pick, Seattle, just drive and write that and I just, I turned it off.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_11]: They're up, this one's over, this has been boring, it's been awful, commercials were terrible.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, it was, to be, it was just like the most,
- 4:00[SPEAKER_11]: Unnoteworthy Super Bowl.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_11]: I can remember and like basically my my life.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_11]: I agree.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean it was uh it was definitely a snoozer.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: It was a tough one.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: I like touching on what you said with Sam Darnell good for him like did really really well Minnesota and they still kind of cast him away and then to do what he did with Seattle get a Super Bowl uh McDonald like
- 4:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know, basically, I very, very new or coach in the NFL, basically just wrapping up a Super Bowl.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: The big one for me, good for Kenneth Walker.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: A guy that is like, you know, especially with like fantasy people is kind of slept on.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_03]: And a year where he's becoming a free agent, he just completely went crazy in the biggest game you could.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_03]: One MVP, he's going to get the bag, whether it's from Seattle or somebody else.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_03]: So it's, I mean, good for him, that was a bright point to it.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_11]: He kind of reminded me I was watching him run and like his patients kind of run me like leaving on bail.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_11]: Oh yeah, patients behind the line.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, just kind of like kind of like Biden time and then just like a quick little jump cut hit the whole and go.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, for a while, I thought the MVP was going to be Seattle's kicker.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_11]: That's yeah.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_06]: That's kind of the worst.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_11]: I was like, this is going to be a not fun game in that.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_11]: It was one of those deals where I don't want to take anything away from the Patriots.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_11]: They won 14 regular season games, but in it's the NFL, I always, I don't love when we talk strengths of schedule and stuff like that in the NFL, because they're all professional athletes.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_11]: You know, you play, the league makes your schedule, it's not like you build your schedule.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_11]: You have your division of opponents, all that good stuff, but man, they played a really easy schedule all year and then compounded on top of that, they get to the playoffs.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_11]: and they get to play the Texans with a CJ Straud who has, you know, kind of falling off a cliff towards, I think, five interceptions that game or something, four interceptions something crazy.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, the Patriots barely could, they barely pulled that out and, uh, and Shroud had four or five turnovers in that game.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_11]: Um, if he only has two Texans might win that game.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_11]: And then,
- 6:22[SPEAKER_11]: you know, who hasn't played, and I don't remember the last time you played a game, and then on top of that, as soon as they get a lead, a blizzard starts and no team can do anything.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_11]: So they kind of had like,
- 6:38[SPEAKER_11]: You wonder how a team this offensively inept and honestly kind of like devoid of talent on the offensive side.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_11]: Obviously we think Drake may's good and Trigger on Henderson is explosive and Remondere Stevenson's a nice back, but their offensive line is not good.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_11]: And if four-year-olds defund eggs off an ACL, Terry is your number one receiver, your wide receiver course, probably not great either.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_11]: You know?
- 7:03[SPEAKER_11]: it's kind of like how did this team make the Super Bowl and then if you really go back and look from week one through the postseason it's like okay stars just kind of aligned for them and this is what happens.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: You got to go ahead I just what all I was going to say on it was man when it really came time their their offensive line was exposed badly like especially left side that was a very
- 7:33[SPEAKER_03]: He had kind of had some film like that leading up to this game, but man, there's a moment for us to like yikes on his ass.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_12]: That's what I was going to ask if you guys had talked about Will Campbell yet, because you think about that.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_12]: They take the guy fourth overall, left tackle out of LSU.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_12]: It's like, OK, we locked it up.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_12]: We got our left tackle, we're good to go.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_12]: They made the whole stink about the short arms and the pre-draft process and all that kind of stuff.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_12]: That guy got his ass owned the entire playoff.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_12]: That's what you're talking about, Justin.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_12]: It's like every game that you watch, the Patriots play, Houston, Denver, Seattle, destroyed that.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_12]: Now obviously, he's a rookie.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_12]: He can get better.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_12]: He's going to get better.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_12]: But just because you take a, and this is for us to his Browns fans looking at pic six, just because you take a tackle.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_12]: anywhere and though we took jet wheels at 10 just because you take a tackle does not mean you're getting that franchise changing guy I guess that goes to say for any position but that it did was just interesting watching him be at own.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know how he played like the whole year but I did see the report today that he tore leg of it in his knee at some point this year and was playing with a torn leg of it through the whole postseason.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know if that had anything to do because I can't tell you how he played before the ligament torques.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_11]: I don't watch the Patriots every single week, but I do think that obviously playing not at 100% I will say this, despite getting kind of lucky and playing against poor offenses through the playoffs, they did play arguably the two best defenses in football going through the playoffs.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, the Texans and the Broncos defense were very, very legit, that's a tough road.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, you had to play the Texans.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_11]: You need to play the Broncos and you need to play the C-hawks.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_11]: If I told you to pick the three best defenses in the league this year, outside, you know, them and what the Browns may, it may be make, those are four and four up five.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, first.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_11]: No, I mean, yeah, so it's, so that would have been a tough road, but.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_11]: We were talking just in, like, if you liked a defensive battle, you'd like this Superbowl.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_11]: It wasn't even an overly defensive battle because the Patriots had guys hoping and may kept missing.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_11]: You know, like, it wasn't like two teams and just nobody could do it.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_11]: If they could have just done some of the easy pitches and catches, who knows what the game was.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, he missed.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_11]: was it Henry or somebody wide open, or maybe it was Austin Hooper.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_11]: I don't remember who it was, it was Hooper.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_11]: I knew it was a white Ted in.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_12]: He are Ted and that's why I remember that.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_11]: And he misses him wide open on like I who knows what could have been.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_11]: So it's just like,
- 10:14[SPEAKER_11]: Yes, it was very good defense out of C-Hox, but it was a lot of bad offense out of the Patriots too.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_11]: Just like I said, it was just not an exciting game, like no part of that game had me excited.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_11]: I turned it off with seven minutes to go and haven't thought about it since.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, any time you turn the ball over three times and you're sacked upward.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you get sacked five times.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_03]: it's uphill sled and I mean, it was I felt like at no point where they ever in the game.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_03]: Like I really I know we talked about like that first touch on they got and you know, maybe the momentum is picking up, but I just felt like as the game went on, I was like, they really just can't do anything.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like they just can't move the ball.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_12]: Now, and I think the whole city I heard you guys, yeah, I know you start talking about the Sam Darn old in the development issue in the NFL with the quarterbacks and stuff, but
- 11:03[SPEAKER_12]: There is a patience situation with these quarterbacks because not very many guys come in the league ready to just play at that super high level in year one and two.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I know Drake may go to the Super Bowl this year, but then you saw what happened to him in the Super Bowl.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, he looked like Sam Darn would look back in his second year in the league.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_12]: So maybe we just need, I know it's hard for us as fans too because if you see a guy come in, it's not like an immediate, oh, this is it, this is awesome, then you get like, I'll get the next guy in there.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_12]: That's when you see these players go to different teams and four or five years down the road, they start to have success.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_11]: I think you kind of see fit.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_11]: And I've said this before when we've been drafting people, fit matters, almost more than anything.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_11]: All these dudes are talented, especially guys taking them in the first round.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_11]: They all have big arms, the most of them can move at least to some degree.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_11]: They're all 6-3 giant humans, they all have talent.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_11]: They all played big-time college football for the most part, most of the guys fit in culture, has so much to do with it, and what do you have around them?
- 12:09[SPEAKER_11]: I just think like expecting guys to come into a team.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_11]: with his just nothing around them except for dysfunction.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_11]: A bad offensive line and you don't have a coach who knows how to maximize their abilities.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_11]: What they do well, I think that is something like John Harbour and the Raven staff should be very much applauded with Lamar Jackson.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_11]: Lamar Jackson was not a finished product coming out of college and going to the Ravens.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_11]: He was very much like a freak athlete.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_11]: and he had an arm, but he was not a polished passer and basically it was like if you could keep Lamar Jackson in the pocket, you could beat Lamar Jackson because he was basically a running back first and he'd throw the ball sometimes.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_11]: And I think we could all agree now like they were patient and they used his strengths.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_11]: They're like, we're going to use this strength and why we work on this as we can this is over time, but we're going to focus on what it does well and let him carry us with those things.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_11]: And this, once he gets this stuff, he's going to be the total package now, two MVP's later.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_11]: I think we all think LeBar Jackson's definitely a good enough pastor to be a quarterback in the NFL now.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_03]: He can swing it, bro.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: He's very good.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_03]: He's okay.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_11]: Yes.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_11]: you know, and he'll miss, they all miss him sometimes.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_11]: So it's just like you have to have a team who can build off their strengths while coaching up the weaknesses and still be able to get something out of him because with the Ravens have been patient with Lamar, if they were trying to build off of his strengths,
- 13:39[SPEAKER_11]: and they won two games a year.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know if they would have been patient.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_11]: So you got to be able to do both.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_11]: You got to be able to still win and get something out of what they do well while building up on their weaknesses to kind of build them into the final product and teams like the Browns and the Jets and before Bryce Young honestly, the Panthers, like all these teams that, you know, like the Sam Darnal went to and unfortunately Baker, you know,
- 14:05[SPEAKER_11]: that's not what they're known for.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_11]: It's like you better come here and you better want us to super bowl in your first week and if not you're gone.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_11]: And that's why we are presently bad and there's teams around the league like the Seahawks.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_11]: have to see hooks like really have been bad at least for any long stretch of times, you know, in the last 20 years, they'll have like, they'll be good and maybe they have a down year and then in a down year's, not a brown's down year.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_11]: You know, it's not two wins and then they're right back in the Super Bowl.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_11]: It starts with fixing like from the top culture, the building, all the expectations, all that kind of stuff.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_12]: Well, if you remember the last off season, I mean, I, I'm sure you guys felt the same.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_12]: I remember coming on this show and saying, I wonder the seahawks doing for sure.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_12]: Trade in a way, Gino Smith or tradeway DK.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_12]: Meckout, they're just, everybody's gone.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_12]: They're getting rid of all these players and it's like, okay, I don't really see the vision there.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, they knew what they were doing.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I was just, it's crazy, but Mike McDonald is,
- 15:07[SPEAKER_12]: a great coach.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: Very good.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: Another guy from Baltimore.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_03]: You know, yeah.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_11]: It's what he's a great coach too.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_11]: And I don't they might have the best drafting GM ever dude.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_11]: I saw I saw a list of maybe like their last it was their last three or four drafts.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_11]: They had it missed on a path.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_11]: Every like every pick for their last four drafts
- 15:37[SPEAKER_11]: No, like no wonder they just won the Super Bowl.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_11]: If you, they got good cheap talent all over the roster.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_11]: I wish I I wish I was shoulda saved the pitcher so I could have read them off.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_11]: It is crazy.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_11]: All the way back to the the Tyreek woolen draft.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yeah.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_11]: And they got him in the fourth or the fifth.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_11]: Since that draft they hit on every player in that draft and since they hit like literally they haven't missed every player plays form.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_11]: It's crazy.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_11]: It's like the anti-clivel browns.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_12]: This episode is sponsored by Butcher Box.

- 17:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you'll guys.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_07]: It is Kenny Mac and it is currently a blizzard up here.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_07]: So Blake will be happy to know that we've got about two or three centimeters already, but jokes aside.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_07]: How about that superbowl man?
- 17:45[SPEAKER_07]: What a tough watch.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, like that.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_07]: If see.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_07]: The whole ASC conference was so bad and we couldn't get our crap together to get in and get something half decent on offense and special teams that maybe we could have competed but I mean I guess I flew on myself we knew how the offense was going to be at the beginning of the year.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_07]: I'm glad we got monkey now, but I mean, if you take a look at the way that that Super Bowl went, there was a blueprint there, and one of the things was the defense, obviously, we got some elite pieces there, but the offense, they don't have a stellar quarterback.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_07]: They've got a quarterback that doesn't make
- 18:24[SPEAKER_07]: bad decisions and like previously before it was jam on hurts and so maybe that blueprint is over two years now but I believe like elite special teams running game you can rely on that you can really sell playaxe into is the way to go but that being said guys man we need
- 18:43[SPEAKER_07]: definitely to have a special team coordinator.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_07]: The other thing I want to see after all Josh's mock drafts, I want to see two receivers in the first round.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_07]: I want to see Boston, I want to see Tate, but the O line, I'm having problems with athletic or robot.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_12]: He was asking if we should be going after a more athletic tackle for the past protection or like a more run game-mulling type of tackle.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_11]: you got to find somebody who can do both and that would be the answer.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_11]: Yes.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_11]: You know, I mean, um, the uh, I know he mentioned special teams coordinator.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_11]: We just hired one right before we came on here correct.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_11]: I didn't imagine that.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_11]: Nope.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_11]: We got his name, Josh.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_11]: Yep, it is Byron Storer.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_11]: Look at that graphic.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_11]: Look at us.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_11]: All over.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_11]: It's like, you went.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_11]: I know you're going to, you wouldn't have known from the first eight minutes of this show, but we've done this before.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, but no, so it's a guy from the, uh, he was a assistant special teams coordinator coach for the, the Packers, um, I wish I could say like, oh, great, higher.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_11]: I, I really don't, don't freaking out.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_11]: You know, I don't know anything about them.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_11]: I know that the Packers have won a good amount of games the last few years.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_11]: And so it's not a bad thing to hire guys from winning organizations.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_11]: So,
- 20:02[SPEAKER_11]: That's that's really all I can say about that.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_11]: And and I think Kenny said it in the discord.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_11]: Your special teams coordinator obviously there's some scheming and stuff, but that's be honest like your special teams are probably going to be about as good as the player as you get to put on there.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_11]: So it's going to be like so much of the season's going to be can't enter Barry give the coaches good players.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_11]: because I don't care if Todd Munkin ends up being freaking the Kirk Signetti of the NFL, we'll never freaking know if we don't add good players.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_11]: Because it's just not gonna be, you can't win in the NFL at bad players.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_11]: It's not a thing, this isn't a high school football, like effort and attitude that they only get you so far, you know.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_12]: Last off season was a good step in the right direction for what Andrew Barry can do with this roster.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_12]: Unfortunately, the results of the last two seasons only winning five or what eight games in two years is largely a result of a very poor roster building over the previous five years.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_12]: So it's, what are we going to get this time around?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_12]: We'll see if how much deep desta being gone influences things, Kevin and that coaching staff being gone, having these new coaches in here.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_12]: It's going to be interesting.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_11]: So I wanted to talk about as kind of transition from special teams coordinator.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_11]: Hopefully, we're not accustomed to this guy out in six months, you know.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_11]: So welcome to the welcome to Cleveland coach.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_11]: Hopefully, things go well.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_11]: I kind of wanted to then talk about we still don't have a defensive coordinator.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_11]: I know we have been interviewing guys kind of kind of casting what seems like a little bit of a wide net.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_11]: Do you have a list of names that guys we've interviewed Josh?
- 21:41[SPEAKER_12]: I do, I'm gonna have to scroll a little bit to get them.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_12]: So I know first of all we've done Jason Tarver, the linebacker's coach for the Browns, and F from Banda, is that how do you say it?
- 21:51[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, the safety scoge.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_12]: Yep.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_12]: So it's cool.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_11]: And I know we did the passing game coordinator for the Rams.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_11]: And I know some people were like defensive passing game coordinators, right?
- 22:01[SPEAKER_11]: Defensive passing, I have to answer this in our Facebook post.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_11]: Somebody was asking about like, why would we hire an offensive guy for defense?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_11]: There's passing game coordinators for both sides of the ball.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_11]: Here's the deals.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_11]: I don't really know any of these guys, but that one at least on the surface level peaks my interest in terms of like I didn't want to hire a passing game coordinator to be our head coach.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_11]: I'm definitely willing to promote a passing game coordinator to defense of coordinator if we think he's got what it takes.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_11]: Rames have had very good defenses.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_11]: Yes.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_11]: intrigues me again like speaking on specifics of the coaches and they're what they would want to do scheme and who that I don't know a bunch of passing game coordinators around the league on the defense side of the ball you know what I mean like yeah but that's at least on the surface of guy who it kind of like oh well that could that can be interesting did you say his name I'm sorry if I missed it.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_12]: I did not, it's only pleasant.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_12]: There you go.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_12]: Right?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_12]: The hobby wasn't.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_11]: Yep, be a pleasant higher.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_11]: Um, and then, uh, but, uh, I kind of mentioned this in the discord yesterday.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_11]: Do you guys want to promote from within, or do you want to go outside?
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: So, uh, there is, uh, there is,
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: So there's things here.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: I really think Jason Tarvers have kind of intriguing.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like, just based on what that, that he's done with that position group.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you think about it, you've got J, okay.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_03]: You got Swesinger.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: Devon Bush, like that group has been very consistent Anthony Walker.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: I know when he wasn't in, we looked terrible.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: Like there, he has developed that room to top notch.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: So will it translate to defensive coordinator?
- 23:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure, but I'm intrigued enough.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: Then I think he's done enough, and the system would be pretty similar where you could kind of just slide him up.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I'm just, I kind of like the outside higher approach.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_12]: you retain some of these guys if you want to on the staff and everything, but getting a fresh perspective on what you can do with this defense just because I know there's a lot of this talk about wanting to keep this scheme in place because the players play very well in the scheme, but the scheme also screws us very often.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_12]: That's fair.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_12]: And there's parts of the defense does poorly that I would like to get rid of, honestly, if we could,
- 24:31[SPEAKER_12]: And if bringing in like they they interviewed Corey Andlin from the Texans trying to see some of these other names Mike Ruttenberg from the Falcons and then Jonathan Coolie's an interesting one.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_12]: I hear people really like him from the Panthers
- 24:48[SPEAKER_12]: and then Charlie Bowlin from the Giants and then Aubrey Pleasant from the Rams.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_12]: So what could a new outside guy bring to our defense that like an Aubrey Pleasant from the Rams?
- 24:58[SPEAKER_12]: Very good defenses.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_12]: What could he bring here and maybe even have more success with Miles Garrett and Denzel Ward and Carson Swesinger in these guys?
- 25:05[SPEAKER_12]: So I'm kind of intrigued with the outside higher prospects.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_11]: That's what I said, the discord yesterday, and I know like some people kind of jump at you for that because Jim Schwartz is kind of like revered as a god and Cleveland because he had good defenses with a top three corner and the best defensive player in the NFL and the rookie of the defensive rookie of the year at Lionbacker.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_11]: Well, duh, you know, if we, if we didn't, there would have been a huge problem.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: We would have to get a new defense of coordinator again.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_11]: So anyway, I'm with you.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_11]: The pat, uh, pleasant, uh, from the Ramses intriguing to me, uh, the Texans who didn't, I think is, how do you say his name or undone, or, I don't know if I forget.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_11]: I've learned, I think, is there no one there?
- 25:53[SPEAKER_11]: He, that's intriguing because the Texan's defense has been great.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_11]: There's gonna be a Demica Ryan's.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_11]: I'm with you, maybe I was kind of early on this.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_11]: I've been kind of poundin' the table about how our defense has been full's gold a little bit.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_11]: The last, you know, a couple of years, like obviously, we watched Joe Woods, okay, be awful with the talent on this team.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_11]: And we were like, we gotta get somebody in here.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_11]: And then we brought in Jim Schwartz,
- 26:20[SPEAKER_11]: and then the defense was much better.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_11]: Also lost in that though, we added like other really good pieces for gym shorts, hence why we haven't drafted any good offensive players because we were drafting all these defensive players.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_11]: So, um, but we just got so stoked for gym shorts because it was so much better than what it was with Joe Woods.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_11]: But we've said this so many times, we can't stop a jet sweet.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_11]: We can't stop a counter.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_11]: We can't get off the field on third down a lot of times.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_11]: Like we give
- 26:49[SPEAKER_11]: Great defenses.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_11]: The Browns defense is very good.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_11]: I do not consider them great early.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_11]: Great defenses.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_11]: Don't let Carson's Carson wins go 80 yards in under two minutes for a win.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_11]: Great defenses.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_11]: Don't give up 31 or 32 points.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_11]: The Titans in in loops.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_11]: You know like it's just
- 27:09[SPEAKER_11]: I think they were a little bit of front runners when they're at home and it's going well and they're feeling themselves they play well but as soon as they're some adversity as soon as you know they're playing on a creative offensive coach that has a a serviceable quarterback.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_11]: They got shredded.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_11]: I mean we watched
- 27:27[SPEAKER_11]: What's his face from the, the cults shred this defense two years ago.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_11]: Gardening to you know, I mean, shred, shred this defense and that was a game which I mean, Miles Carrier like 28 sex in that game.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_11]: We still not shred it.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_11]: So it's just I'm with you Josh in terms of like I appreciate Jim Schwartz and I think he's a good defensive coordinator I think there's better defensive schemes out there.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_11]: I the wide nine leaves this open to getting gashed up the middle in the right game That's fair.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_11]: Um, and it's it's like a defense where unless you're playing with the lead it's just not
- 28:02[SPEAKER_11]: you know, there's better ones.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_11]: The Vikings defense was better.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_11]: The Seahawks defense was better.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_11]: The Patriots defense attack.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_11]: There's better defenses out there that don't have the talent and the draft capital invested into their defense like we did.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_11]: So I'm with you Josh.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, I'm not going to throw a fit if we promote one of these guys who were here and the guys like them in the play form, but I'm highly intrigued about looking outside the organization.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_12]: And I know there's people that'll go to the stat sites and say, well, the Browns are ranked as the number one or number two defense in yards or points allowed or whatever for the season.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, yeah, for the season.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_12]: And that's on because the outliers within that, you know, equation, we dominated some people at home, like majorly dominated.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_12]: we've gotten barrised on the road quite a bit and then when the titans came in I mean I think the aggregate of the season would show that yes overall we were the second best defense or whatever ended up being in yards allowed but game to game it just wasn't like that.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_11]: No, that's kind of how I feel.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, I was saying that really early in this season, you know, like, sometimes I'm early on these things.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_11]: So do we have more voicemails we want to get to?
- 29:17[SPEAKER_11]: Do we need to take a commercial break real quick?
- 29:19[SPEAKER_12]: Why don't we do a quick break and then we'll come back and Brad's got a song for you guys on the other side.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, Jesus.

- 31:16[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I know some people were apprehensive about the James Harden move me at first also, but that's looking
- 31:25[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know if anybody watched that Denver Game last night.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_11]: I'm really liking the moves the cast made.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_11]: So I'm all in on the calves right now.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_11]: And then I saw a comment in here before we get to commercials.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_11]: It says Josh and dogs.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_11]: I send a cheap bush on his episode.

- 31:45[SPEAKER_11]: So, thank you.

- 31:47[SPEAKER_11]: I would like to check it out.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe let us know what episode it was.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_11]: So, I'll go check it out.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_11]: So, yeah, drop a link.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_11]: Appreciate that.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_11]: Yep.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_11]: We appreciate that.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_11]: We've collabed with a lot of other Cleveland sports creators.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_11]: That's always nice when.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_11]: When they do something like that, so we appreciate it.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_11]: Oh yeah, that was good.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_11]: But all right, let's get to another voicemail.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_09]: I'm here without you, baby.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_09]: I really missed the 2020 Browns.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_09]: I really love when we had a offense that could score.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_09]: I'm here without you, baby.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_09]: I hope we find a offense so we can watch.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_08]: more scoring this scene is a rip front art man three doors down man always listen to a child I guess well the joke goes on as well y'all lost it pretty much the whole offense from 2020 that we won the playoffs with is
- 32:50[SPEAKER_08]: No wonder you're going to be here this next season.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_08]: So time for our reboot and new offense.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_08]: Let's go.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_08]: I have some new coaches looking for a new thought to coordinator.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_08]: Got a special team to coach now.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_08]: Finally, close the book on the gym shorts drama.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_08]: We'll see how this offseason goes.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_08]: I hope we just draft a lot of offense because we need to ban our guys can't wait for the show.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_08]: Let's go Browns.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_12]: Did you guys see the reports that the Raiders are interested in Jim Schwartz?
- 33:23[SPEAKER_12]: I did.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_12]: I did.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_12]: I did.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_12]: I wonder how that's going to work out.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_11]: He, uh, I saw a report that said he's more than open to going there too, so I can be shocked if that's not where he ends up.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_11]: Um, first of all, Brad, like he said, RIP.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I didn't know that was from, uh, from three doors down, uh, Justin and I should have saw them in concert, but he didn't get to, he wasn't able to play because he was six.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_11]: So that was a tough one.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_03]: Got stuck with freakin' commentary, I saw a long time ago, back when I was like, 19, but I,
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like most things when I was 19 don't remember a lot of it.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_11]: I never got to solve.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_11]: So now I was bummed about that, but uh, so it gets on not a pride money maker there.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_11]: I guess.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_11]: I think he's ever actually heard this song.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I didn't know this song when he's selling it because I didn't know that was going to be a tribute like Tenacious D, but who knew?
- 34:16[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, thanks.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_11]: But Brad did bring up a good thing, a good thing we need to talk about.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_11]: David, Joke, he coming out on Instagram yesterday, basically saying, hey, Cleveland, I love you, but I'm going to not be back next year.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_11]: And I feel like a lot of people were kind of like, they kind of felt like the Browns weren't going to resign.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_11]: And I wonder if Chief kind of like, they basically told him, my teammate, and we're not going to give you some big contract.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_11]: And so he just kind of got out in front of it and said he's going to look for new home either way.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_11]: David Joke has been like, he's one of my favorite Browns players of this era, the way that he kind of turned it around, total like attitude adjustment, I guess is a way to say it in terms of wanting to be traded to becoming like the biggest defender of Cleveland, like he just couldn't talk bad about Cleveland in front of him, or he was going to correct you, like,
- 35:10[SPEAKER_11]: I just, that's one that sucks, and I understand it for, like, I hope you just go somewhere and get to play on a good team.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_11]: So, like, I understand it for a hand, I understand it for the Browns, in terms of they just drafted faded.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_11]: They're trying, they got to add town to the team, you're probably not going to sign an older tight end.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_11]: They just sucks, because, like, you know, like, the sucks one of your favorite players is going to be back on the team.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's you couldn't have said a better man like honestly the last few like few seasons kind of been like the heart of Cleveland, especially with the Brown He's like that outspoken like, you know, rally the city kind of guy that we haven't had as far as like him leaving me and Josh were talking about it for you get on I know everybody like we love Harold fan and he's awesome, but they're at least kind of legitimate holes at what you're going to try to do with blocking He's kind of we
- 36:02[SPEAKER_03]: people forget how good he was at blocking.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_03]: He was a big part of what we tried to do.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and we're successful at the past few, you know, three seasons ago if you want to call it that.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: But, um, you know, obviously, I think that that leaves a huge void that they're going to have to address.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_03]: And it's, it's not as easy as just Harold Fan in being a plugin.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like that.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_11]: No, they're completely different styles of Titans.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_11]: And like he became a very good run block in Titan.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_11]: When he first came into the league, he was just like a guy who went to basically play a wide receiver, you know.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_11]: And he changed his game, became such a great run blocker.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_11]: And he had the great run with Joe Flacco, and then he kind of saw his numbers really drop off last two seasons.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_11]: Well, big part of this because we couldn't block.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_11]: And he had to stay in and block all the time, you know?
- 36:53[SPEAKER_11]: So in the quarterback play, he's just been a church just the last two season and just basically the play in general.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_11]: So I could see him going somewhere that has a good offense in being very good again, like, it would suck, but what if he goes to the chiefs?
- 37:10[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, that's the one everybody talks about.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_12]: Do really well.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_11]: the chiefs or there's another team that I was thinking of.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_11]: I somebody mentioned it to me earlier today and I was like, that'd be a great fit for him also.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_11]: So, or go out to like San Francisco and play with Kiddlestick.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_11]: Kiddlestick is always hurt.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_11]: What did Kiddlestick hear?
- 37:30[SPEAKER_03]: It tore his feelings man.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_03]: Jake Tong, this is going to probably be the guy.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_03]: But he said it was, I did read Kiddlestick.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_03]: It was like on the milder end.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_03]: He liked it after everything.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_03]: He expects to be back at the beginning of the season.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, we'll see.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_11]: We know how the the Achilles injuries are.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_11]: You know what I mean?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_11]: So there's gonna be some good land and I hope he's made it a lot of money I hope he goes somewhere that's good for him like football fit.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_11]: I'd love to see David jokie wins up football games and be on that like a contender In contributing so I'm happy for David.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_11]: It just sucks
- 38:03[SPEAKER_12]: it does and you know kind of he was one of the guys that we were keeping an eye on when the trade deadline was rolling around in November.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_12]: It was like, okay, it's the Browns are going to move him before the trade deadline because he's on the last year of his deal and all that stuff.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_12]: They didn't which I see some people online saying that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense now.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_12]: Like if if you weren't going to trade him, then that means you probably wanted to extend him.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_12]: They didn't extend him.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_12]: Now they're not going to extend him.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_12]: So
- 38:27[SPEAKER_03]: I guess he was hurt too.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_03]: He got hurt right before the deadline blips me and his knee all up.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_11]: That's be honest as much as we like David and we think he's gonna he can go to a contender and be very good for a good team.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_11]: What's the market for a 30 year old, you know, banged up tight end?
- 38:44[SPEAKER_11]: Like, so what we're going to get a fifth form maybe, you know, a fifth or sixth, hell, I just keep them for half the season.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_11]: Well, you know, I mean, just just keep them then and let them be included and let them play here because, I mean, do we need another six round draft pick?
- 39:00[SPEAKER_11]: I guess, like, in theory, it's always better to have them than not have them.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_11]: But, I don't know, I just don't think.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_11]: I just don't think you returned on an investment more than likely if you traded him in the season was going to be worth it.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_11]: Now, somebody was like, offering you third, okay, then we're stupid for not taking it.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_11]: But those officers obviously weren't coming in.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_12]: And I wonder how much of them not trading him had anything to do with the dead cap it?
- 39:22[SPEAKER_12]: Because I was reading some stuff.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_12]: He's got like a void year, a dummy year on the deal.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_12]: So they're going to mark him as like a post-June first cut.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_12]: or his contract essentially so they can split the last what is it 24 million over the next two seasons rather than taking it all this year or something like that.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_12]: So I don't know how that works if you trade the guy maybe you can't do that anymore.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_12]: I don't know maybe that had had something to do with it.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_10]: Um, Blake just pulled me John Nye I feel I know it's I'm tired.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_10]: Maybe it's been a long past out past out on there Nice stop, Ralph.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_10]: We're just over here.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_10]: You're on it Excuse me out of here.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I was staring at my second monitor, and it's just black Last time the fall sleep.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah So we got another voice.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe we went play.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, this one here is what time we got going on this one's from Cooper
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: Hey guys, who's prevailing back then just wanted to say if I noticed like you guys were talking about this in a past episode like not the past episode like the past past episode so I heard that a player on Ohio State was going to be in the NFL draft for 26
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: which was a tate, you know something, but me and my dad really wanted them on the team.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: We obviously want like in the next few years obviously right now because the guys because like Jeremiah Smith is too young to enter the draft, but whenever he is not too young then we definitely are hoping he's a future Cleveland Browns.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, I just wanted to mention that, you know, yeah, I really hope you get paid this year.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, that's all.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_03]: And what cool.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_03]: I love it, bro.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_03]: I was never been so proud.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_03]: I was waiting for him to be like in Screw Blake, Renekor, like Pat McAfee's style, but he didn't do it.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_11]: Unfortunately.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_11]: We should send that kid some dogs podcast.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, can we get a, can we get a if you're watching email the show?
- 41:33[SPEAKER_11]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 41:41[SPEAKER_11]: We want to send Cooper some gear.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_11]: That's awesome.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_12]: Actually, Cooper and his dad just joined the dog pack.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_03]: Really?
- 41:46[SPEAKER_03]: Again.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_12]: Yes.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Andrew Jackson, chill out.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: That's all for you, brother.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's you, dog packs.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_11]: That's a place for a child.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_11]: We're going to have to clean it up.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, we're at to put some rules in place.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not to clean up my show my show language a little bit out.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: And that's for you, Cooper, I'll be that guy.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_11]: I'm in, but well, that's awesome.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_11]: All right, that's so cool.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_11]: And like we too would love Jeremiah Smith to be a future Cleveland Brown.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_11]: I hope the Browns don't suck bad enough this year that we're picking, you know, one number two or three because that's where he's going to go.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_11]: But if we are, I'm taking him 100 times out of 100 in Cardinal T is
- 42:29[SPEAKER_11]: Coronel Tata 6 is definitely like, it's him.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_11]: It's one of the big three, honestly.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_11]: I want one of them.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_11]: I know we've talked about you just, do you go tackle it six?
- 42:42[SPEAKER_11]: I just think the drop off from receivers, like you top three or four, depending on where you have Boston, the drop off from there to the next ones, like they're still other good receivers, but those are like your clear cut top three or four guys.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_11]: I think there's other tackles and offensive linemen you can get.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_11]: at 26 or even the first pick in the second that we'll come in and start day one and be better than anything we have.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_11]: So I just think you kind of have to weigh that positional value and where the dropoff is.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_11]: So if if trust me, if the Browns draft Carnotate at number six, that's going to be the next Browns jersey.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_11]: I buy when that's when.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I would.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_12]: I was saying we can keep the draft talk going because now the voicemail next is Brandon.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_05]: What's going on guys Brandon from Phillipsburg, New Jersey represent in the 908 here by the Cleveland Browns Bay in the heart.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_05]: My question is reference to the draft.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_05]: I know we have the six pick.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm hoping that we take Cornel Tate, um, just want to do your input for some reason.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_05]: Cornel Tate is not there at pick six.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_05]: Let's say he's taken by the giants or an earlier team.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_05]: Do you think the Browns still go wide receiver there?
- 43:44[SPEAKER_05]: Like picking lemon or do you think that they go tackle?
- 43:47[SPEAKER_05]: Now that Tate is off the board.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_05]: I appreciate what you guys do and looking forward to hearing our response.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_12]: I'll say this real quick.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_12]: If, obviously, I would love to go wide receiver at six.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_12]: Tate, lemon, I love those guys.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_12]: I will not be shocked if Andrew Barry passes on wide receiver and goes tackle.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_12]: Even if Tate's on the board, I would not be shocked if that's what he does.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_11]: I guess then here's my thing.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_11]: If we don't take a receiver and we take a tackle, are we upset or are we like, well, that's also a huge need.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_11]: You know what I mean?
- 44:28[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, obviously, I want the wide receiver because really like outside of Josh Gordon, we haven't had like that kind of guy on our team.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_11]: Ever, we're constantly trying to find, you know, mid-brown draft picks and make them good, Brian, or Biscuits and Muhammad Nazquads and all that stuff.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_11]: You know, just bringing some names out of the seller, but at the same time, our tackle play the last few seasons is probably the worst in football, and until those two positions are solidified, I don't care if we add all four of the top four receivers to our team.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_11]: We're not going to be a good.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_11]: So it'll be hard to like not be disappointed.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_11]: If those guys are sitting there, especially Cardinal Tate, because he's a bug guy, and we go with a tackle, but I'm telling myself now, a month and a half in advance, like, be okay with getting a good offensive line, because all the best teams have good offensive lines.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_11]: That's just the way it goes.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_03]: I just worry, this is my only fear Blake, and this is just, this is a me problem.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_03]: I worry that I'm going to have Julio Jones syndrome after this thing.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to watch McCuy, Lemon, and Tyson, and Coronel Tay just ball out for the rest of my life in their careers with these other teams, and I just got to eat it.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, if history holds whoever we take,
- 45:50[SPEAKER_03]: will be just historically crappy, and now we'll just have to deal with that forever.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_03]: So I disagree with you here, man.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: I want the shiny toy, man.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_03]: I know that it won't matter if we can't hold the friggin, the hold the defensive end, but give me the shiny toy.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: At least we can solidify that in.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm bored.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_03]: I love all three of those guys.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think I don't think you can really miss.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_03]: Tyson, there's some injury stuff, but man, those three are very, very exciting.

- 47:58[SPEAKER_11]: I understand trust me, I definitely know you do, bro, I know.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_11]: It's one of those things like, when you mentioned the injury history, how much does that scare you knowing the Browns?
- 48:11[SPEAKER_11]: We draft guys who've never even heard of the word injury and then spend their entire career and Cleveland on IR, I had just terrified to draft a guy who already has an injury history.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_11]: I just felt the Browns are screwed.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_11]: He'll be the best one.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_11]: He'll never get hurt again.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_11]: He'll play 12 years in the NFL.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_11]: Walk straight into the Hall of Fame.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_11]: And if we draft him, he'll be Cedric Tobin.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_11]: Never be able to stay on the field.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: Take it.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_12]: My thing with Tyson so far from what I'm coming away with.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_12]: Like he's he's probably the most dynamic.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_12]: Sure.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_12]: Of those big three or big four if you include Boston, which I'm starting to I really really like what I've seen and read about with Denzel Boston, but with Tyson, the reason why I have him behind Carnell Tate in my Kyleman, he's got some focus slash concentration drops that creep into the film and he doesn't do a whole lot with the ball after the catch like if you if you get him wide open and space sure he'll take it, but he's not making guys miss so he's very acrobatic.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_12]: You know, going up and coming down with some catches and stuff, but that injury history is just
- 49:21[SPEAKER_11]: It's one of those things where just like just don't sometimes just don't ever think it a high estate wide receivers just like look at all of them.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_11]: Just take it.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_11]: You know, I mean just take it and his at the knocks I hear like he was number the number one wide receiver on his college team while we take him that high wouldn't turn either was a mech egg, buca, neither were you know,
- 49:48[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, a lot of these guys aren't the number one because turns out Ohio State just has a chit load of good wide receivers.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_11]: Imagine not drafting Justin Jefferson where you would a draft where you drafted it because he wasn't the best wide receiver on LSU's team that you're because they had your mark chase.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_11]: Justin Jefferson must not be any good.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_11]: He's the number two one.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_11]: It's college team.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_11]: How could it be a number one in the NFL?
- 50:09[SPEAKER_11]: So I just I don't understand that logic at all.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_12]: No, that's no absolutely not meant if you just just turn on the the tape for tape And we watch every Ohio State game, but we're not watching the film break down for a specific router or specific guy or anything Carnell tates routes my goodness like he does he's not he doesn't have burner speed He's not gonna blow by you on a nine route and just take it down the sideline He will get wide ass open because of his route nuance like he just knows how to shake defenders get open He didn't drop a single pass
- 50:40[SPEAKER_12]: all season.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_12]: He's the only receiver in this draft class who had zero drops.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_12]: Super impressive.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_12]: And he, he's good at the contest catch.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_12]: I can catch the other things.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_12]: Crazy.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_12]: 12 out of 14 contested catches.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_12]: You think about how many times you're throwing up contested catches, those are great opportunities for drop passes, where it's a pass that you probably could cut a cut, you end up dropping it.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_12]: He didn't drop any.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_12]: He cut damn near all of those opportunities.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_12]: He's going to be good in the NFL.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_12]: Very good.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_11]: I'll say the, I think what will strongly dictate what we do at six also, what has to do with what we do for agency.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_11]: I'm sure there's wide receiver like big time wide receivers basically don't hit the market, but say there's like a miracle and you somehow added one.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_11]: Then that changes up your need at six, you know what I mean?
- 51:26[SPEAKER_11]: Personally if we add some, I don't know, I don't know if I'm going to throw a name out there and no speculation.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_11]: But if somehow we landed a number one wide receiver in free agency or trade when three agency opens, I'd still take cardinal tape at six.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_11]: And then you can take a tackle with your next two picks at 26 and what 32 or 3439, 24 and 30.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_11]: So even if that, like, give me the loud, like I said, I made my argument for why I could see why they go tackle, but I'm with you just and in terms of like,
- 52:00[SPEAKER_11]: Can we please get an explosive out of it?
- 52:02[SPEAKER_03]: Forget that, man.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_03]: And so here me out here on this too, there's a serious chance that Tarnal, Tarnal Tay goes off the board before we get to him.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it's potentially could happen.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_03]: If it does, and lemon is sitting there is six, turn the card in.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_03]: Turn the card in, turn the card in, turn the card in.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_03]: If it comes down to both of those guys who are available at six, I will have a lot of trouble.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I would be okay if they took lemon over him.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_03]: I know, I know that's crazy, but I just think we're in a good spot to just take that guy.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_03]: Don't take a tackle when we have no receivers.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: Don't do that.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_12]: Please.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_12]: If they did go tackle, how do you guys feel about, I mean, really, the two in that range are going to be Francis Malanoa out of Miami and then Spencer Fano.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_12]: Fano, how do you talk?
- 52:53[SPEAKER_12]: Those are like your two options there.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_11]: just take just takes a buddy and take the good one.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_11]: Don't pull uh, don't, don't go to jet wheels, Tristan Worf's root.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_11]: That's another thing I don't need to see.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_11]: I'm just, I have so much trauma from brown straps.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_11]: What is that?
- 53:11[SPEAKER_12]: I will say to you, I don't, I don't think this is, I know people will say, we'll just trade back a little bit or something and get some more draft capital.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_12]: I don't think you're trading back in this draft.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_12]: The high end talent in this draft, I don't see people giving up future assets or second round third round picks in this draft to come up and get any of these guys, really.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_11]: Although, I would have said that about Travis Henry.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, Travis Henry.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_11]: Travis Henry.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_11]: You know what I mean?
- 53:42[SPEAKER_12]: We, if I don't guys, there's a little bit different with him.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but I think there's a, I mean, a lot of tea, I don't know if he was
- 53:52[SPEAKER_11]: They gave up a lot to get a guy who was like, just mediocre, everything he did last year.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_11]: And then got hurt, exactly like everybody predicted to happen if you tried to play both sides.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_11]: You know what I mean?
- 54:05[SPEAKER_11]: So it's just like, so I don't know, maybe you find another team out there, but I don't want to try it back.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_11]: Just freaking, and just pick the best players.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_11]: That's add like six quality offensive players in this draft in treadome and some freaking football games.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_11]: That would be the lovely.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_11]: Was that all over our voicemails where y'all done?
- 54:27[SPEAKER_12]: No, there's one more if you want me to play it.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_12]: If not, we can just get out of here.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_12]: But I'll play Kurt's voicemail.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: We got another jersey.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, Kurt from Jersey, I've seen a lot of talk about Watson playing again.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_02]: And honestly, it turns my stomach to even think to imagine I'd see him on the field again.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_02]: I would probably lose it.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_02]: I want to go so far as to retire the number four from anybody ever.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_02]: Wearing that number again never want to see the number four on the fields for Cleveland again.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_02]: I get it We all have a lot of money.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's like I get it, but no get out of here like I don't want to see him on the bench I don't want to see him.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to see stupid videos from the freaking French Riviera wherever the hell is
- 55:15[SPEAKER_02]: little tic-cocks or whatever he's doing.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_02]: Go make tic-cocks dude.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: Go make tic-cocks and retire the number four.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm tired of watching.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm tired of the talk.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to see his name again.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I like to propose a trade to Atlanta.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: Dilling gay real.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: and Mary Kay for a bag of chips.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_02]: Not even good chips, not like the retos, like just laser original, that would be fine.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_02]: Not even a big bag, maybe just a small snack size.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, go Browns.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: Later, guys.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, so Kurt from Jersey's very, very unhinged, very funny makes me laugh a lot at home.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_11]: Yes, if you like that kind of stuff, that's what you join the dog pack for.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_03]: Now, number four, in Brown's history, should already be retired.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: So I would make that argument, you know, former kicker that we had that was really good.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_03]: Should already be, you know, unclaimable, but as far as the Watson stuff,
- 56:12[SPEAKER_03]: I was saying it last year.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, oh, man.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_03]: I really hope we don't go down this road.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_03]: I feel very confident just as far as like moving forward if it should or against Watson straight up.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm putting my chips in on that sure Sanders.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Watson, the last time we saw him, he looked like a shell of himself.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_03]: Blake's talked about a million times.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't didn't even look at.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_03]: Let it could not run.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_03]: The backyard football stuff wasn't working anymore.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_03]: It just looked awful.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_03]: At least there's flashes.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: When I watch it or Sanders, at least during the day, there's multiple times during a game right up.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, that's something we can build on cool.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't seeing that from four.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_11]: I think there's, I don't think you can play him.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_11]: I know that you can't make football decisions based on like fan reaction and stuff, but I do think you have to read the room a little bit.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_11]: And if you put him out, first of all, if you decide to put him out there, there's going to be blowback.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_11]: And then if you put him out there, and he throws a pick, or he throws one six feet short of the guy into the dirt in front of him.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_11]: It's going to be bottleneck, you know, you know, like it is going to be a hostile environment if you do that.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_11]: I just don't, I just don't see a world in which that happens.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_11]: I think I'm seeing more reports in terms of
- 57:40[SPEAKER_11]: the browns we are going to bring in of that to kind of compete in the in the the cubi room and like there's a better chance you'll see a veteran play for top monk in this year than you would see to Sean Watson I think we all are like let's see what we got should do or especially if we add offensive talent around them so we can properly evaluate them
- 57:59[SPEAKER_11]: But I'm also, I'm not going to handcuff my new brand new coach.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_11]: I'm going to see, you know, what do you need?
- 58:03[SPEAKER_11]: What do you want?
- 58:04[SPEAKER_11]: What do you think's best in and go from there?
- 58:07[SPEAKER_11]: So I'm with Kurt.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_11]: I don't think you can put him on the field.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_11]: I really don't want to.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_11]: And don't throw so much shade at laser originally.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_11]: And they're not terrible.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_07]: I want to.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_11]: The bait's okay.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_11]: I wouldn't give up.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_11]: So yeah, the bait ones are real good.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_11]: Super great.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_11]: That's a great point.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_12]: I'm not giving up my original release for Mary Kay, that's for sure.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_12]: I think it's funny that he wants to try.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_12]: Mary Kay's the one that I don't know if you guys saw like her article from, I think it's from today talking about how Todd Monkon is intrigued with the Sean Wat he didn't say that.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_12]: He said that, you know, we have this guy in the room who at one point in time was a pro bowl quarterback and played at an elite level.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_12]: He did not say I think he's still
- 58:52[SPEAKER_11]: Somebody out there's telling them they're telling them to warm us up.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_11]: They're fluffing us.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_11]: Getting us ready.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_12]: So I don't think it is.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_12]: I'm with you, though, and that will not go for well.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_03]: No, bad.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_03]: Pat, public, I'm any member one.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_03]: You're immediately, you're putting the lens on yourself as, hey, we suck.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_03]: We go ahead, talk shit about us.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, here's something more, they go ahead.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, man.
