The Radiant Face of Moses: Faith That Reflects God’s Presence
Exodus 34:29–35
After encountering the glory and mercy of God on Mount Sinai, Moses descends the mountain carrying the renewed covenant tablets. Something extraordinary has happened during his time in God’s presence. His face is shining. The people are afraid to approach him. This episode explores the radiant face of Moses through the original Hebrew narrative, classical interpretation and ancient linguistic insight. We examine how transformation occurs in the presence of God, why holiness can both attract and unsettle people, and how true faith eventually reflects what it beholds.
