  Speaker 1: roll between buildings carrying supplies. Iron golems patrol in groups.

  Speaker 1: You even see some golden and diamond golems mixed among

  Speaker 1: them now. Spreading the golem spells around the village has

  Speaker 1: certainly made a difference. You push open the town hall doors.

  Speaker 1: Gus is standing over a map, and he doesn't look

  Speaker 1: particularly happy. Good morning, you say. Ah, good. You're here.

  Speaker 1: What's wrong? Gus points toward the map. I've received reports

  Speaker 1: from some of our scouts. You have scouts? Of course

  Speaker 1: golems aren't everything. Gus looks back down at the map.

  Speaker 1: We still don't have that many actual people capable of fighting.

  Speaker 1: The golem king has soldiers as well as golems, and

  Speaker 1: who knows what else. We have some guards, hunters, miners,

  Speaker 1: and villagers willing to defend themselves, but... Not nearly enough

  Speaker 1: trained soldiers. You think for a second. Well, if we

  Speaker 1: don't have enough people, maybe we just make the people

  Speaker 1: we do have more powerful. Gus looks up. How? Diamond

  Speaker 1: golem mech suits, you answer. Gus stares at you. For? Everyone? Well,

  Speaker 1: everyone who's going to fight. Gus slowly smiles. That is

  Speaker 1: actually an excellent idea. If every soldier has a diamond

  Speaker 1: mech suit with lasers, neural controls, and magic integration for

  Speaker 1: any of the spells we've taught them, or, well, will

  Speaker 1: teach them, then one person could probably fight like ten

  Speaker 1: or twenty soldiers. Perhaps considerably more than that. Exactly. You pause.

  Speaker 1: And while we're preparing for the attack, I still think

  Speaker 1: we should keep exploring the minefield. Gus nods. We have

  Speaker 1: views from the front, the side, the back. By the

  Speaker 1: time your hand stops... You're looking down at a detailed

  Speaker 1: blueprint of the entire Diamond Golem mech suit. Huh? You

  Speaker 1: hand it to Grayson. He studies it. Oh. Yeah. You

  Speaker 1: can make them? I can make a lot of them.

  Speaker 1: Especially with all the materials the golems are collecting from

  Speaker 1: the mines. Perfect. I'll start right away. You leave him

  Speaker 1: The armor closes behind you and the neural connector presses

  Speaker 1: against the back of your head. That familiar tingling sensation

  Speaker 1: passes through your body and everything changes. You aren't inside

  Speaker 1: the mech anymore. You are the mech. You move your

  Speaker 1: enormous iron diamond fingers Your shoulder lasers track wherever you look,

  Speaker 1: and beside you, JD activates his own. Ready, you ask. Ready,

  Speaker 1: JD answers. The two of you squeeze inside the elevator

  Speaker 1: and ride all the way down to the final diamond level.

  Speaker 1: When the doors open, you walk out. There's the dungeon
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: realm portal you've already explored the day before, and beside
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: it is the staircase you discovered but never entered. Portal
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: or stairs? JD asks. I think we better do the
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: stairs this time. You begin heading down them. The staircase

  Speaker 1: winds deeper into the mountain, and deeper and deeper, the

  Speaker 1: walls start becoming darker. Then, JD suddenly stops. Wait, what?

  Speaker 1: He points toward one of the blocks in the wall.

  Speaker 1: There's something dark inside it, almost black, but with a

  Speaker 1: strange metallic shine. JD steps closer. No way. What is it,

  Speaker 1: you ask? I think it's netherite. Netherite? I've heard about it.

  Speaker 1: It's supposed to be one of the hardest materials, well, anywhere.
• 15:57
  Speaker 1: JD produces a pickaxe from his inventory and swings it Clang, clang.

  Speaker 1: The pickaxe bounces away. He tries again and again. He
• 16:11
  Speaker 1: gets nothing. Okay, that's very hard. J.D. looks at his
• 16:19
  Speaker 1: shoulder lasers. Stand back. Uh, that's probably not the best idea,
• 16:26
  Speaker 1: you start to say. As J.D. fires. Two laser beams
• 16:33
  Speaker 1: slam into the block. For a moment, nothing happens. Then
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: the stone cracks. There, the entire wall cracks with it. Oh,
• 16:47
  Speaker 1: the ceiling rumbles. JD? Yeah? I think you broke the staircase.

  Speaker 1: The floor disappears and both of you fall. You drop

  Speaker 1: through darkness. Stone rushes past you. You fall and fall

  Speaker 1: and fall until... Boom. You slam into solid rock. Luckily,

  Speaker 1: you're inside a diamond golem mech suit. You slowly stand up. JD? I'm... okay.

  Speaker 1: He says... JD gets up nearby and you look around. Whoa.

  Speaker 1: You're staring at the inside of an enormous cavern. Rivers

  Speaker 1: of lava flow through channels in the stone. Huge waterfalls

  Speaker 1: of glowing orange lava pour down from cliffs. Little lakes
• 17:55
  Speaker 1: of lava bubble all around you. and scattered through the
• 17:59
  Speaker 1: dark rock are strange crystals. Red ones, blue ones, purple ones,

  Speaker 1: green ones. And every once in a while, you see
• 18:11
  Speaker 1: another tiny patch of that strange black material. Netherite. JD
• 18:20
  Speaker 1: reaches down and collects the pieces he blasted free before
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: the collapse. So... This stuff is really that good? It's
• 18:31
  Speaker 1: incredibly rare, JD says, and incredibly valuable. Supposedly, it's one
• 18:40
  Speaker 1: of the hardest materials known. Normally, you can't even find
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: it in this realm. Harder than diamond, you ask? Way harder.

  Speaker 1: Is it useful? Extremely useful. You absorb the netherite into

  Speaker 1: your inventory. Then we should probably find as much as

  Speaker 1: we can. The two of you begin exploring. You collect

  Speaker 1: crystals as you walk. A little netherite here, a little
• 19:15
  Speaker 1: more there. Using your lasers to blast it apart, of course.

  Speaker 1: There's nowhere near as much of it as the other
• 19:24
  Speaker 1: ores you found in the mines. Then... The lava starts
• 19:29
  Speaker 1: to move beside you. You stop. Did you see that?

  Speaker 1: You ask. Yeah. The lava rises. Something enormous begins climbing out.

  Speaker 1: First a head, then shoulders, then... enormous arms. A golem
• 19:54
  Speaker 1: rises from the lava. A golem made out of netherite.

  Speaker 1: It's nearly twice the size of one of your diamond golems.

  Speaker 1: The lava rolls harmlessly off its almost black metal body.

  Speaker 1: In one hand, it carries an enormous netherite club. Oh no.

  Speaker 1: The golem swings. Boom. The club smashes into your chest.

  Speaker 1: You fly across the cavern and crash into a wall.

  Speaker 1: Before you can stand, it swings a JD. JD goes
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: flying in the opposite direction. The golem opens its mouth,
• 20:45
  Speaker 1: and lava erupts from inside. Move, you yell. You roll
• 20:51
  Speaker 1: aside as molten rock splashes against the wall. You aim
• 20:56
  Speaker 1: both shoulder lasers and fire. The beams strike the netherite
• 21:02
  Speaker 1: golem directly in the chest. It makes him stumble, but
• 21:08
  Speaker 1: it barely leaves a mark. That's not good. JD fires
• 21:14
  Speaker 1: his lasers too. Still, almost nothing. Magic, you yell. You
• 21:22
  Speaker 1: reach down into the ground. Earth magic surges through the cavern.
• 21:27
  Speaker 1: A gigantic boulder rips free and slams into the golem.
• 21:32
  Speaker 1: JD follows with lightning. Crack. Electricity dances across the netherite body.

  Speaker 1: You unleash a concentrated fireball, then another, then another. Your
• 21:49
  Speaker 1: advanced wizard ability lets your mana regenerate almost as quickly

  Speaker 1: as you're using it. The golem swings again. You grab

  Speaker 1: the club with telekinesis and, for a second, You stop it. Now,

  Speaker 1: you say, and JD unloads everything. Lightning, lasers, fire. You

  Speaker 1: create two stone pillars and smash them against the golem
• 22:19
  Speaker 1: from either side. A tiny crack appears in its chest.

  Speaker 1: It's working, you say. Just don't give it any time
• 22:29
  Speaker 1: to recover. JD blasts it with lightning again. You fire
• 22:35
  Speaker 1: your lasers. JD fires his. You tear boulders from the
• 22:41
  Speaker 1: earth and launch them like cannonballs. The golem tries to move,
• 22:46
  Speaker 1: but you grab its leg with telekinesis just as JD
• 22:51
  Speaker 1: sends another concentrated fireball into the crack. The crack spreads slightly,
• 22:58
  Speaker 1: and the netherite golem roars. It raises its club, and
• 23:04
  Speaker 1: you hit it with everything you have. Fire, lightning, earth, telekinesis, lasers.

  Speaker 1: JD does the exact same thing. The golem staggers with
• 23:19
  Speaker 1: every hit, and the cracks spread. You continue firing back
• 23:26
  Speaker 1: and forth every spell you possibly can. until your mana
• 23:31
  Speaker 1: is just about depleted, and the crack has spread across
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: its entire body. Then, finally, boom! It explodes. Chunks of
• 23:47
  Speaker 1: netherite scatter across the cavern, and floating in the middle
• 23:52
  Speaker 1: of it is a book. You walk forward and pick
• 23:57
  Speaker 1: it up. Netherite Golem spell? No way. You quickly open

  Speaker 1: the book. Time stops and memories slam into your mind.

  Speaker 1: Memories of netherite, heat, pressure, forging it in molten lava.

  Speaker 1: You understand something immediately. Unlike your other golems, A netherite

  Speaker 1: golem cannot simply be assembled anywhere. It must be created

  Speaker 1: surrounded by pure lava. You remember shaping the nearly indestructible material,

  Speaker 1: forming enormous limbs, a massive body, and finally pushing an

  Speaker 1: incredible amount of your own life force into it. The

  Speaker 1: book disintegrates. Congratulations, netherite golem spell unlocked. You look at

  Speaker 1: the pile of netherite, then at the lava. Well, this
• 25:14
  Speaker 1: might be my only chance. You reach out with your mana.

  Speaker 1: The netherite pieces rise into the air. They plunge into

  Speaker 1: the lava and begin coming together. The molten lake churns,
• 25:32
  Speaker 1: a massive arm rises, then another, a head, a torso.

  Speaker 1: You focus all of your mana, press it together at once,
• 25:44
  Speaker 1: and force it into the golem's chest. Its eyes open,
• 25:51
  Speaker 1: and it looks down at you. What are your orders?

  Speaker 1: the golem says. Congratulations, you have created a netherite golem.

  Speaker 1: But know this, the netherite golem spell requires an extraordinary

  Speaker 1: amount of life force. It may only be used once

  Speaker 1: per year. Once per year, you say, incredulous. Correct, However,

  Speaker 1: netherite is exceptionally rare. Despite the lengthy spell reset, you

  Speaker 1: are statistically more likely to be prevented from creating another

  Speaker 1: netherite golem by lack of materials than by spell limitation itself. Well,

  Speaker 1: that's reassuring, I guess. JD looks upward. Ah. We still

  Speaker 1: to the lasers. A jet. What? JD asks. I think

  Speaker 1: I just figured out how to make our mech suits. fly,

  Speaker 1: or at least jump really high. You start gathering crystals
• 28:34
  Speaker 1: and the remaining scraps of netherite, then you deactivate your
• 28:39
  Speaker 1: suit and climb out. You place your hands against its back.

  Speaker 1: You picture two compact magical engines, netherite housings, crystal focusing chambers,

  Speaker 1: and connections directly to the mech's power cells, and the
• 28:59
  Speaker 1: ghostly designs appear. You lock it in and allow the

  Speaker 1: materials to fly from your inventory. With a few clangs
• 29:11
  Speaker 1: and a couple clicks, two strange jet-like engines form on
• 29:17
  Speaker 1: the mech's back. Then you do the same to JD's.

  Speaker 1: completely exhausting all of the netherite you were able to find.

  Speaker 1: You climb back inside your own mech, the neural connections activate,

  Speaker 1: and you just think... up the engine roars and you

  Speaker 1: shoot upward into the air whoa you work to stabilize
• 29:50
  Speaker 1: yourself JD launches beside you we can fly he says
• 29:59
  Speaker 1: You circle the cavern once. Then, you look down at
• 30:04
  Speaker 1: the netherite golem. How? Uh, well, I don't think he's
• 30:09
