- 0:29Speaker 2: you love it, so come on in and still We'll
- 0:33Speaker 2: do our best to make you smile. The indoors man.
- 0:41Speaker 3: What is happening? I'm Rob Lundquist and I'm Boog and
- 0:45Speaker 3: we are the Avid indoors Men.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Hell are pre one?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Hello? How are you, buddy?
- 0:53Speaker 1: I'm doing great, buddy, Football season full swing. We're here.
- 1:00Speaker 3: That's basketball.
- 1:01Speaker 1: That's okay. I liked it. That could really go better?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Better there it is.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I love that both nipples just erect right away, erecked.
- 1:10Speaker 1: It was one at a time, though, which is weird.
- 1:13Speaker 3: It's weird. Well, you got the basketball and then you
- 1:15Speaker 3: got it was the left.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I didn't know that for future reference for anyone that's
- 1:19Speaker 1: keeping any sort of log And I really wish I
- 1:22Speaker 1: hadn't done this riff.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I'm into it. I'm probably a little too into it.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, dude, very excited about the football season. Our
- 1:32Speaker 3: Minnesota Vikings had our biggest win in five years.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I did not know that was the case.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I mean, it makes sense because, yeah, two years ago
- 1:46Speaker 3: we won like the most like one score scoring.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I thought too.
- 1:51Speaker 3: I was like, the last year we lost the most
- 1:55Speaker 3: one score difference. It was like, it makes sense, but
- 1:57Speaker 3: I did not know it was twenty nineteen against the Chargers.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Was the last time that we had over twenty plus points.
- 2:05Speaker 1: That's crazy. Yeah, it seems like that should happen more
- 2:09Speaker 1: often than that, but I guess not.
- 2:11Speaker 3: For our Minnesota Vikings. Even when we play a bad team,
- 2:15Speaker 3: we usually played down to their level and then we
- 2:19Speaker 3: always make it close.
- 2:21Speaker 1: That's a that's a super fair point. Yeah, but that
- 2:24Speaker 1: kind was fun.
- 2:25Speaker 3: It was fun. Did you do anything fun for it?
- 2:27Speaker 1: I just watched it by myself. What did I do?
- 2:31Speaker 1: What did I do? That was fun? I feel like
- 2:32Speaker 1: I did something. Oh, I made a I did do
- 2:37Speaker 1: something fun, but it was so silly. I just made
- 2:39Speaker 1: a I went and bought some stuff for cookies and
- 2:42Speaker 1: made a cookie Sunday. Oh sonsome sounds like it's football Sunday.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's cookie Sunday Sunday, and then went into a sort
- 2:52Speaker 1: of food coma for a while.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Left the sure.
- 2:56Speaker 1: As you do. How about you? It looks like you
- 2:58Speaker 1: had a big party.
- 2:59Speaker 3: We went to my sister's place, for sure. I was
- 3:03Speaker 3: gonna say that. My daughter. She's like, I'm so excited
- 3:07Speaker 3: for the football season to start because that means we
- 3:10Speaker 3: get Mom's chili's right, So.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Chili is bomb, to be fair, I really thought about
- 3:16Speaker 1: making chili and I was so lazy.
- 3:19Speaker 3: We we had a big shmortgage board over at my
- 3:22Speaker 3: sisters and Kelsey made chili and Jenny made chicken wings
- 3:28Speaker 3: and there was a bunch of stuff. There was too
- 3:30Speaker 3: much food.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It was your sister's new path too, right, Yeah, dude,
- 3:35Speaker 1: so fun.
- 3:36Speaker 3: She's got a great place and she just got this
- 3:39Speaker 3: new TV. It's a monster TV, like right above her fireplace.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but there was an existing TV that the
- 3:46Speaker 3: previous owners just left because it was kind of like
- 3:49Speaker 3: the perfect little nooks, pretty small and it's got like
- 3:55Speaker 3: a cupboard.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Like exactly, yeah, totally.
- 4:00Speaker 3: So we had the Twins game on the little one
- 4:03Speaker 3: and the Vikings game on the top one.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You know what that was we call that the dream.
- 4:08Speaker 3: That's the dream.
- 4:09Speaker 1: That sounds lovely.
- 4:10Speaker 3: It was cool, It was really cool.
- 4:12Speaker 1: We're adults now, we make the rules. That was what
- 4:14Speaker 1: happened there.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I love it.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that's really cool. It was fun. That sounds lovely.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Very excited for the football season. But I'm also very
- 4:26Speaker 3: excited to hear about what the last movie was that
- 4:29Speaker 3: you watched?
- 4:30Speaker 4: Wow, Grant Segway.
- 4:33Speaker 1: This very day, I watched a movie called Night End Day.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Oh wow, Yeah I did. I we've seen it. No,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I don't think i'd ever seen it, Wow, because we
- 4:45Speaker 1: talked about it on When would we have talked about that.
- 4:49Speaker 3: It was the trivia game where that's maybe not the
- 4:54Speaker 3: amper saying draft of some sort. Yeah. I thought about
- 5:00Speaker 3: using it for the Amper sand one for dead Pool
- 5:02Speaker 3: and Wolverine, but.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's not like yeah yeah yeah, because it's just the
- 5:08Speaker 1: words spelled out anyway. This is the twenty ten film
- 5:11Speaker 1: with Cameron Diaz and Thomas Cruz. Ever heard of them?
- 5:16Speaker 1: A really fun movie, kind of a clandestine spy meets
- 5:21Speaker 1: a person who is not a spy and hilarity ensues.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It was goofier than I was anticipating it would be
- 5:28Speaker 1: in a fun way. And I really I really enjoyed it.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I mean it was just both of these two like
- 5:35Speaker 1: badass movie stars being movie stars. I really liked it.
- 5:38Speaker 3: It was fun.
- 5:39Speaker 1: The action was like pretty amped up, which was interesting.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Like not only was there a lot of it, they
- 5:47Speaker 1: were doing a lot of like quick cuts and everything
- 5:50Speaker 1: like seemed slightly sped up, you know what I mean
- 5:53Speaker 1: kind of style, which was cool. Brought it brought energy
- 5:56Speaker 1: to it, but it was it was interesting. It felt
- 5:58Speaker 1: like a choice all these fourteen years later, I was like, Oh,
- 6:02Speaker 1: that's interesting. That is such a vibe for that time
- 6:07Speaker 1: or something of that specific style. I don't know the
- 6:09Speaker 1: right way to say it, but uh but nine Day
- 6:12Speaker 1: pretty fun movie. I had a great time watching it.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I remember liking it. I saw it the one time.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I thought that that was enough, but I thought it
- 6:18Speaker 3: was it was entertaining.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah. I think it might have been the True Lies
- 6:22Speaker 1: podcast that we talked about it because someone was like
- 6:25Speaker 1: nine and Days kind of like a secondary True Lies
- 6:28Speaker 1: in some ways, like a spiritual sequel, And I was like, oh,
- 6:31Speaker 1: that's interesting. I don't know that I would go that far,
- 6:34Speaker 1: but it definitely has a similar vibe to it.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Cool, that makes sense.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I liked it. It was cool. They used
- 6:42Speaker 1: the which was killing me, the like the knock you
- 6:45Speaker 1: out drug. They used a lot that was a huge
- 6:48Speaker 1: plot device.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I can remember that pretty well.
- 6:52Speaker 3: It's really fun, like then they'd wake up in the
- 6:54Speaker 3: next situation.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, not in like a crappy way or skiv
- 6:57Speaker 1: way or anything, but just like, oh well, we have
- 7:00Speaker 1: to get to the next part, so you're gonna get
- 7:02Speaker 1: drugged because you're just a civilian and you can't handle
- 7:05Speaker 1: this or whatever. That's pretty fun. I liked it. But yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 1: it was good, and it was on HBO Max, and
- 7:10Speaker 1: I remember to write that down.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I'll get you nicely done, buddy, Yes, proud of you.
- 7:15Speaker 1: How about you, man, what movie have you watched recently?
- 7:18Speaker 3: I was on a plane recently and I checked out
- 7:21Speaker 3: a movie you talked about a while ago now, but
- 7:25Speaker 3: I watched Wicked Little Letters, featuring for fun, Olivia Coleman,
- 7:31Speaker 3: Jesse Buckley, and Timothy Spall were the people that I
- 7:35Speaker 3: knew and for the people who aren't aware. It's set
- 7:39Speaker 3: in the early twentieth century in a small English town
- 7:43Speaker 3: and people are being sent these nasty letters filled with
- 7:48Speaker 3: kind of funny, unpleasant swears.
- 7:52Speaker 1: So good. It's like someone's posting on Facebook or something,
- 7:55Speaker 1: basically right pretty.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Much, yeahnatural, Yeah, but apparently it was a really big
- 8:01Speaker 3: deal back then and like people were sent to jail.
- 8:05Speaker 3: And it was a funny. It was a whole thing.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I liked it more than I thought I was going to.
- 8:12Speaker 1: H It's a fun little romp, isn't it. It's pretty cute.
- 8:15Speaker 3: It's really quick. I think it's like maybe ninety minutes. Yeah,
- 8:20Speaker 3: Jesse Buckley really shines, and I mean Olivia Coleman's always awesome. Yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 3: but yeah, quick watch. I had a really good time
- 8:29Speaker 3: with it. It was fun.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of a lot of outhouse stuff, a
- 8:34Speaker 1: lot of outhouse stuff, funny, yeah, yeah, yeah, I really
- 8:38Speaker 1: that was one I think and I'm sure I said this,
- 8:40Speaker 1: but I watched it just sort of on a whim
- 8:42Speaker 1: and I was like, what a delightful little experience that
- 8:45Speaker 1: was nothing about it and just go in and get
- 8:49Speaker 1: to see them being silly and great and yeah, nice.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm glad. It was really good. I thought it was
- 8:53Speaker 1: really fun.
- 8:54Speaker 3: And now it is on the planes, but it is
- 8:56Speaker 3: also on Netflix. Now, so people are looking for that.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Go check it.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Look at you all a lot.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Speaking of Netflix, have you been streaming anything fun?
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yes? But over well, I guess on the same the
- 9:10Speaker 1: Max Again, I watched a movie that I really like.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It was a rewatch situation another and movie, and this
- 9:18Speaker 1: one was Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, which is
- 9:21Speaker 1: one that I just go back to every now and then.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It had been a little while. This movie is hysterical.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I remember thinking it was really funny. Yah, yeah, it's
- 9:31Speaker 1: it features let's see Zach Effron, Adam Devine, Anna Kendrick
- 9:35Speaker 1: and Aubrey Plaza are sort of the main players. But
- 9:38Speaker 1: we got like Stephen Root in there. We got Sam Richardson.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I was gonna say, Sam Richardson, isn't that right? I'm
- 9:44Speaker 3: waiting for that name.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yeah, he's the like groom the sister, the groom of
- 9:48Speaker 1: the sister too, you know. And sugar Lynn Beard is
- 9:52Speaker 1: the sister and she's hysterical in it. Kumil makes a
- 9:55Speaker 1: Kamil Nanjianni makes an appearance. Uh, you're Mary Holland, who
- 10:02Speaker 1: we've talked about a number of times on here, and yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 1: she's like the sort of like best friend of the
- 10:08Speaker 1: bride who's being kind of a stickler, which is just
- 10:10Speaker 1: a perfect part for her, like just kind of an
- 10:12Speaker 1: uptight you know, but like super funny.
- 10:16Speaker 3: She was a really funny one in that was it
- 10:18Speaker 3: happiest season that Christmas movie?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, about the two gals that went back and
- 10:24Speaker 1: like hit their relationship and whatever. But yeah, there's a
- 10:28Speaker 1: ton of people in this movie in retrospect, a ton
- 10:32Speaker 1: of cameos and stuff, and just it's just a super
- 10:35Speaker 1: super fun time. I had a great time rewatching it,
- 10:38Speaker 1: and I think it's like legitimately hysterical, and zac Efron
- 10:42Speaker 1: and Adam Devine are perfect in it, Like they're they're
- 10:45Speaker 1: so good as these sort of bumbling idiot brothers. It's
- 10:50Speaker 1: it's wonderful, and it's so if you're looking for like
- 10:52Speaker 1: a like a rom com but more calm and like
- 10:56Speaker 1: slightly raunchy, this is the movie for you. You're gonna
- 10:59Speaker 1: like it a lot. So nice I had. I had
- 11:01Speaker 1: an awesome time. I was like laughing out loud multiple
- 11:05Speaker 1: times during it. And I've seen it, you know, at
- 11:08Speaker 1: least a few times for sure, So nice. I was
- 11:10Speaker 1: having a great time. But how about you, what have
- 11:12Speaker 1: been storaming.
- 11:14Speaker 3: One of my recent favorite shows has just started back
- 11:18Speaker 3: up season four of Slow Horses, which is on Apple
- 11:25Speaker 3: TV plus love that it's it currently while we're recording,
- 11:29Speaker 3: it's only had its first episode of the season. Okay,
- 11:34Speaker 3: that's all that's out when this comes to week to
- 11:36Speaker 3: week for them. Yeah, so this might be two or
- 11:39Speaker 3: three episodes when this comes out. Sure, it's too early
- 11:43Speaker 3: to tell if this will be like an amazing season
- 11:46Speaker 3: because I just watched the first episode. Sure, but good
- 11:49Speaker 3: or bad, I will we I will be watching it.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Gary Oldman is so good in this role. It he's
- 11:58Speaker 3: so good, and I feel like it's the only time
- 12:00Speaker 3: I ever see Kristin Scott Thomas as well.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I can't think of she.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Was like in the first mission Impossible, the English Patient.
- 12:10Speaker 3: You'll recognize her right away when you look her up.
- 12:15Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, yeah, of course, Okay.
- 12:18Speaker 3: She's really good. And Jonathan Price was heavily featured in
- 12:24Speaker 3: the first episode, and yeah, has been playing kind of
- 12:29Speaker 3: a small role in the other the other seasons and stuff.
- 12:32Speaker 3: So well, we'll see what happens. I'm excited.
- 12:35Speaker 1: That's fun. And you've enjoyed all of the seasons of
- 12:38Speaker 1: this right.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Like, it's pretty quick. I don't even think they do
- 12:42Speaker 3: eight episodes. I think it's like a six episode thing. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 3: and just Carrie Oldman's character. I don't know if you
- 12:50Speaker 3: remember it, but he's just so crass and blunt and
- 12:57Speaker 3: I mean audibly passes a pretty regularly, like it's a
- 13:02Speaker 3: weird role. And he like he doesn't shower very much.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yes, he is. He's quite the character. It's a fun role, wonderful.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to watch this, I keep meaning to.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I don't know why I haven't jumped on board yet.
- 13:14Speaker 3: You absolutely should. Really good, I love it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Well, what do you think should we jump on board
- 13:19Speaker 1: with a few plugg a roonies.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Here, let's plug and nice.

- 14:21Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. This one came to
- 14:24Speaker 1: me quick. I was excited. I was like, well, could
- 14:27Speaker 1: we just do this?
- 14:28Speaker 3: And it was you're all about your yeah, and I
- 14:30Speaker 3: was like, oh, yes, I think I can do fifteen.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I think we're good.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah. I think I ended up with like twenty three
- 14:36Speaker 1: or something.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Oh crazy overachiever.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Yeah, which is not I'm not comfortable in this space.
- 14:43Speaker 1: That's not a thing I usually do. So yeah, let's all,
- 14:46Speaker 1: we'll get through it. It'll be fine.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Nice.
- 14:48Speaker 1: We're all in new new areas of our lives, yes,
- 14:51Speaker 1: but that should be a ton of fun, so stick
- 14:53Speaker 1: around for that. Also fun, We're gonna have a movie
- 14:56Speaker 1: game Dike coming up game very soon with guests TBD,
- 15:02Speaker 1: Tvdy our favorite band for procrastinators, so TBD. But it'll
- 15:09Speaker 1: be a hoots and I would venture a holler as well,
- 15:13Speaker 1: so possibly come on back and check that out. It'll
- 15:15Speaker 1: be fun as we play a bunch of movie related
- 15:18Speaker 1: games that we still have to make up, So come
- 15:21Speaker 1: on down for that. It'll be a ton of fun.
- 15:23Speaker 1: But we are here today to talk about a lovely
- 15:26Speaker 1: little film. It is called Dodgeball, a true underdog story
- 15:30Speaker 1: from two thousand and four, thus celebrating its twentieth anniversary,
- 15:34Speaker 1: which is Craig Rippen ain't. And we decided we had
- 15:38Speaker 1: to get a guy who dodges some balls, you know,
- 15:41Speaker 1: in his regular life, whether they be baseballs, whether they
- 15:46Speaker 1: be like a medicine ball and a workout scenario, pool
- 15:49Speaker 1: balls at various bar fights that he attends. You know,
- 15:53Speaker 1: there's a lot of stuff, a lot of stuff happening
- 15:55Speaker 1: around there.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Golf balls. I just went golfing with them the other day.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Golf balls, Yeah, probably a potato ball at some point yes,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I assume that's how we got the nickname Potato. Anyway,
- 16:08Speaker 1: let's welcome him here. Give it up for Nate.
- 16:10Speaker 3: What's up, Nate?
- 16:11Speaker 4: Oh, how's it going?
- 16:14Speaker 3: It's going so much better now.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Oh wow, good to see you.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I feel like I just saw you.
- 16:21Speaker 4: I did just see you.
- 16:22Speaker 3: He saw me. He went golfing, and like the day
- 16:27Speaker 3: before that, he was over at my sister's house putting
- 16:31Speaker 3: TV's up, and damn.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That sounds like a lovely week though it really was.
- 16:40Speaker 3: That's great, And we actually didn't golf terribly the time
- 16:44Speaker 3: before that. It looked like I'd never picked up a
- 16:47Speaker 3: golf club ever.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Well, I blame a lot of that on Adam.
- 16:51Speaker 3: I'm gonna too, yeah, most things.
- 16:55Speaker 1: In life, really, let's be honest.
- 16:58Speaker 3: But no, we had some good shots I watched. Uh
- 17:00Speaker 3: Nate got a good par on one of them.
- 17:02Speaker 1: And nice. Yeah, where'd you guys go?
- 17:05Speaker 3: We went down to New Prague, which is so funny.
- 17:08Speaker 3: It's such a Minnesota thing to do there. But it
- 17:12Speaker 3: should be New Prague, right, No, no think so? No,
- 17:15Speaker 3: I don't think so it's New Prague, New Prag, Prag, Minnesota.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, our European fans are just their eyes are twitching. Yeah,
- 17:26Speaker 1: what's happening? Yeah you monsters. Well that's fun. But got
- 17:30Speaker 1: a little golf and then be a beautiful few days.
- 17:33Speaker 4: It was. It was like storming on the way there,
- 17:37Speaker 4: and then we got there and the clouds parted and
- 17:40Speaker 4: it was probably the best weather you could have asked.
- 17:42Speaker 3: It was perfect, a cool down.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You're welcome. It was good. Glad I could arrange that
- 17:48Speaker 1: for you. Guess that's nice.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Thank you that.
- 17:50Speaker 4: I really appreciate it.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Anything to do with it.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Yes, you know who I met this week?
- 17:56Speaker 4: No, Norman. Now Norman like because Norman didn't care regards
- 18:05Speaker 4: to you.
- 18:06Speaker 1: No, he loves me. Norman's not a fan of me.
- 18:10Speaker 1: And when I said, I said Jenny a text about that,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and she straight up didn't believe me.
- 18:15Speaker 4: He is such a lovable dog that when she told
- 18:18Speaker 4: me that, I was like.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I know, that's like the one thing because he's met
- 18:23Speaker 3: quite a few people, and she's like, he loves everyone
- 18:26Speaker 3: except for bugs, except.
- 18:28Speaker 1: For except she really didn't care for me.
- 18:31Speaker 3: He was he was a little nervous of you. That
- 18:34Speaker 3: was strange.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I don't know why I'm so kind to animals. You
- 18:38Speaker 1: are he knows about certainly that he knows about.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Like, maybe there's like a Jeffrey Dahmer thing going on
- 18:44Speaker 4: here that we all just don't know about.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And I don't think so. If there is, I also
- 18:50Speaker 1: don't know about it, I'm scared.
- 18:52Speaker 4: That's a good thing.
- 18:53Speaker 3: I guess blacking out it's not an excuse, bukes, Okay,
- 18:58Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 18:59Speaker 4: I'll stop drinking too much chocolate milk. Oh.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I do love chocolate milk delicious. There's no good seguent
- 19:10Speaker 1: actually social If I drank chocolate milk, I would have
- 19:14Speaker 1: a real dumpster fire on my hands. It doesn't agree
- 19:19Speaker 1: with me anymore. I don't know, guys, uh dumpster fire?
- 19:22Speaker 1: The band buddy, You guys released Santa Monica Sunrise.
- 19:26Speaker 4: That is correct, and.
- 19:27Speaker 1: It's so beautiful how it's been going? Have you? Do
- 19:30Speaker 1: you feel amazing? Are you ready to release an onslaught
- 19:34Speaker 1: of other tunes? So what's happening?
- 19:35Speaker 4: I feel amazing that we actually released it because it
- 19:39Speaker 4: took four years.
- 19:40Speaker 1: That's I mean, honestly, that is not every video that
- 19:43Speaker 1: comes out as an undertaking. So good for you, for real,
- 19:46Speaker 1: that's amazing.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Yeah, the older I get, the more I realized that
- 19:50Speaker 4: we'd like I just want to keep even if it
- 19:52Speaker 4: takes a year to release one video. It's just fun
- 19:55Speaker 4: for me. Like it's not like it has a ton
- 19:57Speaker 4: of views. I mean it has more views in our
- 20:00Speaker 4: other videos and the you know, they've been around for
- 20:03Speaker 4: two years and this one's been around for two weeks,
- 20:05Speaker 4: So that's good.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It's a beautiful video too, Like you ever got that
- 20:09Speaker 1: footage and put it together, did a great job.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Yeah. It's actually a buddy of Jeremys, and he does
- 20:15Speaker 4: like stock video music videos. Because we could not afford
- 20:19Speaker 4: to fly out to Santa Monica and dick around for
- 20:24Speaker 4: three days shooting stuff in hopes that we get good
- 20:26Speaker 4: footage Sore Boulevard.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Is that okay?
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's wonderful.
- 20:37Speaker 4: I mean it's expensive for us to get together because
- 20:40Speaker 4: he's in sane Claude. I'm in Plymouth and I'm like, hey,
- 20:42Speaker 4: you want to go shoot a video and Monticello, like
- 20:47Speaker 4: that feels like a good place they.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Have really good is it? Monticello one of those spots
- 20:52Speaker 1: has a really great donut spot over there. No, it's
- 20:55Speaker 1: clear Water, clear Water. You get off with the old
- 20:58Speaker 1: Clearwater exit there. They got Bismark's that size her.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Had right off that exit there.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't remember. What's called Clearwater Plaza or something.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Yeah, there's like a gas station.
- 21:09Speaker 1: It's nice. I've got a restaurant in there too. I've
- 21:11Speaker 1: never had I've never eaten there, but you know it
- 21:13Speaker 1: looks pretty good. You guys, you're old. I don't know
- 21:17Speaker 1: what you want from me.
- 21:18Speaker 3: You get to be.
- 21:19Speaker 1: We would have had this discussion when we were twenty one.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Like, that is true.
- 21:22Speaker 4: This is actually that is true.
- 21:24Speaker 1: The tracks, Yeah, this is too weere Well, go to YouTube.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Check out dumpster fire. The handle is at dumpster fire
- 21:31Speaker 1: five three eight three.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Go check it out now, ye rolls off the door.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Learned that before.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I don't do you not realize was five three eight three?
- 21:43Speaker 4: That is brand new information to me. Like, I'm sure
- 21:46Speaker 4: I've shared it before.
- 21:47Speaker 1: But was one of you born in eighty three and
- 21:49Speaker 1: one was born in fifty three?
- 21:50Speaker 3: I think that there are five eighty two other dumpster fires.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I think that actually might be it.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, most of those fans, So that works out.
- 22:02Speaker 3: That was hurtful.
- 22:05Speaker 4: That's a great segue into Dodgeball.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Yeah, well it's a true underdog tale story story. I
- 22:12Speaker 1: think it's story.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Definitely story.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah, well go check out Dumpster Fire. Right now it
- 22:19Speaker 1: start talking about this movie that we've referenced a few
- 22:22Speaker 1: times already. Yes, time to talk about Dodgeball dodge band Rob. Well,
- 22:26Speaker 1: you gotta start it with just a rough SYNOPSI shuma. Okay.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Average Joe's Jim and its owner Peter Lafleur, are both
- 22:35Speaker 3: down on their luck. A fancy competing gym called Global Jim,
- 22:39Speaker 3: run by the maniac health nut White Goodman, is about
- 22:42Speaker 3: to put Average Joe's out of business unless Peter can
- 22:45Speaker 3: raise fifty dollars to keep his mortgage. To save the Jim,
- 22:50Speaker 3: Peter in a ragtag group of Average Joe's members and
- 22:53Speaker 3: employees enter a dodgeball contest with a big cash prize.
- 22:58Speaker 3: In response, White forms his own Globo gym team to
- 23:03Speaker 3: route the competition.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Wow, some of them are so short. And that one
- 23:08Speaker 1: I it just kept going. I really liked it. But
- 23:12Speaker 1: you and this is not a note. I this is
- 23:14Speaker 1: a love letter to you. Okay, some really strong choices
- 23:17Speaker 1: made in there. Thank you creation.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I was moving. It was a whole emotion, was going
- 23:23Speaker 3: to be more like Monotone was like, oh, this is
- 23:25Speaker 3: a really long synopsis. We're going to get going, We're
- 23:28Speaker 3: going to get it going.
- 23:30Speaker 1: There was a moment where I thought you were stopping
- 23:32Speaker 1: after the first sentence he's down on his luck. That
- 23:37Speaker 1: was it or something? Back to you?
- 23:39Speaker 4: Yeah, thanks, thank me you cotton there.
- 23:42Speaker 1: It is exactly exactly. Well, thank you so much for
- 23:45Speaker 1: reading that. Let's go to Rotten to Battos and hear
- 23:47Speaker 1: what they have to say. Critics have this coming in
- 23:49Speaker 1: at a pretty like pretty strong seventy one percent. I
- 23:52Speaker 1: was pretty surprised actually.
- 23:54Speaker 3: After euro Trip where it was like a thirty five
- 23:56Speaker 3: percent from the critics. I was pleased.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Thank you, Nate, Nate loves it. Yeah, we had two
- 24:04Speaker 1: people on the pod that didn't really care for it,
- 24:06Speaker 1: It's true, and then me who loved it.
- 24:08Speaker 3: It was it was okay, it's just.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You know, no, I didn't. I didn't feel persecuted.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:13Speaker 1: It was like it just felt like you guys were like, wow,
- 24:15Speaker 1: you've seen this, you.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Like this movie?
- 24:19Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, I just like Matt Damon's cameo.
- 24:23Speaker 1: It's the best, maybe the best cameo.
- 24:25Speaker 3: You should still listen to the episode, but that is
- 24:27Speaker 3: for sure. The dude or excuse me the dingis.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe the dude too. I don't know.
- 24:33Speaker 4: I got in like a two year argument before the
- 24:36Speaker 4: internet was super popular with one of my best friends
- 24:39Speaker 4: about that being Matt Damon.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Just like and you didn't just like look it up?
- 24:44Speaker 4: Yeah, he like was not He was like, no way,
- 24:47Speaker 4: no choice chance, and this is like I get it. Yeah,
- 24:52Speaker 4: like college would do that, but when we didn't have
- 24:55Speaker 4: it in our hands, we would have had to go
- 24:57Speaker 4: home to the computer and every time we'd see each
- 24:59Speaker 4: other be at like beat ups and be like no, yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Looking up, No you didn't. It's like, well I read
- 25:07Speaker 1: yeah long time. Truly, yeah, truly, Scotty does no.
- 25:13Speaker 3: We should talk about dodgeball now.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sorry audience members also Greece. Scotty doesn't know
- 25:21Speaker 1: the critics had it wrong. If they had it up
- 25:22Speaker 1: a couple more ticks, that's seventy six percent.
- 25:26Speaker 3: There, it is right.
- 25:27Speaker 1: That was strong strong. Well, let's go into what we
- 25:29Speaker 1: think it's time for our that's a hot take.
- 25:35Speaker 3: That's a hot.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Take, Spicy, I don't really have a good one for this.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a hot take.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I don't know. Uh, it's not my worst work. No, no, no, no,
- 25:50Speaker 1: that's less about me than it does about the quote. Anyway,
- 25:53Speaker 1: I'll go first. I like this movie a ton. I
- 25:56Speaker 1: think it is a silly good time. It is, I really,
- 26:01Speaker 1: I don't know. I've just always enjoyed it. I think
- 26:04Speaker 1: obviously our guy who I know, we're gonna talk about,
- 26:06Speaker 1: Vince Bond quite a lot. This was at his like height,
- 26:09Speaker 1: I feel like, pretty much right he was putting out,
- 26:13Speaker 1: you know, just banger after banger after banger, and he's
- 26:16Speaker 1: really great in this. To me, this movie harkens back
- 26:20Speaker 1: to another one of my favorite movies because Ben Stiller's
- 26:23Speaker 1: character in this he's very similar to his character in Heavyweights,
- 26:27Speaker 1: which is one of my all time favorite movies. I'm
- 26:29Speaker 1: so glad you're hear Nick, because I know you love
- 26:31Speaker 1: that movie.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Did you see that there's like fan fiction saying that
- 26:34Speaker 3: they they think it's the same character, just like grown up?
- 26:40Speaker 1: No, I never, I never did see that. That's really fun.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Yeah, like people want to make it and apparently they
- 26:45Speaker 3: both like the color purple. There were a couple of
- 26:47Speaker 3: things that they're.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Like, funny, interesting, funny. Yeah, he does have a different name,
- 26:51Speaker 1: but it doesn't mean anything. We can change hands.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Yeah, White goodmant and that's not a real name.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Come on, yeah, what was his name in Heavyweights? Perk
- 27:00Speaker 1: Perkosize is the like the video purkos It doesn't.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Matter no a anyway.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I just think this movie is a silly, fun, good time.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I don't know, it's it's really fun. It doesn't make
- 27:14Speaker 1: like a ton of sense of the like storyline is
- 27:17Speaker 1: pretty thin, but it doesn't matter either, Like, it's just
- 27:21Speaker 1: a good time. And I kind of like that Vince
- 27:24Speaker 1: Vaughn in this one is like a tiny bit more
- 27:27Speaker 1: of like the stray guy in this one, where he's
- 27:29Speaker 1: just like there's extra zany stuff happening around him and
- 27:33Speaker 1: he's just like, okay, or we could just not do that,
- 27:36Speaker 1: that would be fine as well, you know, Like I
- 27:38Speaker 1: mean he always says a little portion of that, but
- 27:40Speaker 1: this one specifically, he was like kind of the more
- 27:43Speaker 1: normal dude who just was was going through his life.
- 27:47Speaker 1: So yeah, I really enjoy this movie a lot. And
- 27:50Speaker 1: I don't think I have a hot take.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Hot take buddy somewhere else.
- 27:57Speaker 1: It's it's the best dodgeball movie I've ever seen that
- 28:00Speaker 1: now that's hot from that time period that is very hot.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Are there other dodgeball movies?
- 28:06Speaker 3: No, I think I thought that was the joke.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Well, it's kind of. I mean, The Great Escape is
- 28:11Speaker 4: kind of like a dodgeball movie except the dodgeballs or bullets.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Wow, that is really something. That is something, that's something Yeah, dark.
- 28:19Speaker 1: There are a lot of homages in this movie to
- 28:20Speaker 1: other movies, which is fun, like the thing with the
- 28:24Speaker 1: blindfold right from Matrix Resurrection Revolution. It doesn't matter, that's
- 28:30Speaker 1: my tep it take Rob.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I have thought this movie was really funny ever since
- 28:36Speaker 3: it came out. I agree, pretty dumb and a silly plot,
- 28:40Speaker 3: but the actors are what really make it for me.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Yes.
- 28:45Speaker 3: It was written and directed by Rowson Marshall Thurber. He
- 28:50Speaker 3: also directed We're the Millers, and he wrote and directed
- 28:54Speaker 3: a few Dwayne Johnson films like Central Intelligence, Skyscraper, and
- 28:59Speaker 3: Read Notice, which was fun.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Oh wow, I like a number of those movies. Good
- 29:04Speaker 1: job by this guy.
- 29:05Speaker 3: And it was his first big feature film. I thought
- 29:08Speaker 3: he did a really good job. The cast is filled
- 29:11Speaker 3: with big names and some of my favorite character actors.
- 29:16Speaker 3: There are definitely some things that don't age well. Pretty
- 29:20Speaker 3: much anything that comes out of rip Torn's mouth is
- 29:22Speaker 3: politically incorrect, but some of it is so funny and
- 29:27Speaker 3: it makes it.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Incorrect then, right, like it was kind of the point
- 29:31Speaker 1: of his but less obviously.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Yeah, whenever you throw the r ord for mentally challenge,
- 29:37Speaker 3: just like something about homophobic slurs and mentally challenged thing
- 29:42Speaker 3: twenty years ago, they thought that was so funny.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Honestly, it's everyone like a super run of those movies.
- 29:51Speaker 3: It feels like it's crazy man.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's pretty wild.
- 29:55Speaker 3: But yeah, there's there's quite a few lines in this
- 29:58Speaker 3: movie that I quote regularly. I do think it's hilarious
- 30:01Speaker 3: that we've done two movies in a row where David
- 30:04Speaker 3: Hasselhoff makes a cameo.
- 30:07Speaker 1: We're on the hassle Hoff Street and he was a
- 30:09Speaker 1: hot topic guy, he really was. Was this before or
- 30:12Speaker 1: after the Cheeseburger video before?
- 30:17Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 30:17Speaker 4: I mean we barely had video in two thousand and four.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, that's true.
- 30:23Speaker 3: But I don't have too much to add. This is
- 30:25Speaker 3: a silly comedy. It was fun rewatching for me. I
- 30:29Speaker 3: do have one hot take. Oh h. I never really
- 30:32Speaker 3: noticed how much Justin Long was blatantly just ripping off
- 30:37Speaker 3: Chris Farley. Oh he does it quite a bit where
- 30:43Speaker 3: he's like that, oh but I, oh, that's really fun
- 30:49Speaker 3: see like him doing the Chris Farley Show.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Yeah, he did it like five times. I was like, whoa.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Dude, funny. Yeah, and he's funny to do that.
- 31:00Speaker 3: It's so funny. I love just long but it was
- 31:03Speaker 3: a weird. That was a weird thing to do.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny. Good observation.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Hot take, Yeah, very hot take.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it.
- 31:13Speaker 1: All right, Nate, what's your hot take? Buddy?
- 31:16Speaker 4: Are you guys ready ready, ready? All right? Well, this
- 31:19Speaker 4: is the first one I've done with you guys that
- 31:24Speaker 4: I don't.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Have a glowing review.
- 31:28Speaker 4: No, So it's not horrible because it's very nostalgic for me.
- 31:34Speaker 4: The reason when you guys sent out the email, I
- 31:36Speaker 4: was like, yeah, Dodgeball, because I have so many memories
- 31:38Speaker 4: in my head of like I quote all these lines
- 31:42Speaker 4: and I'm not gonna lie. I rewatched it, and I
- 31:45Speaker 4: was like, I don't think I watched this as much
- 31:49Speaker 4: as I thought I did.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Oh, that's fun because movies like that I get.
- 31:53Speaker 3: You absolutely, especially comedies.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I knew the lines. I did not like you.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I said, it did not age quite as well. In
- 32:02Speaker 4: some aspects, I was like, oh wow, okay, that's like
- 32:09Speaker 4: giggling inside because of the awkwardness. But yeah, definitely not
- 32:14Speaker 4: saying that anymore. And to be fair, I don't think
- 32:16Speaker 4: I said it in two thousand and four, but it
- 32:18Speaker 4: probably passively laughed because.
- 32:20Speaker 1: It was like, hah sais yea Samis.
- 32:24Speaker 4: The actors though, like, I love every one of them
- 32:27Speaker 4: in this movie, and they made this movie. It was
- 32:30Speaker 4: such a dumb premise, which I am not opposed to
- 32:33Speaker 4: in a movie, right, but yeah, it just it didn't
- 32:39Speaker 4: hit quite as big as the nostalgia in my head
- 32:42Speaker 4: has like had made it. Yeah, okay, so and I
- 32:47Speaker 4: know I forget which movie bugs we did that you
- 32:50Speaker 4: kind of had the same thing. But it's one of
- 32:51Speaker 4: those where it's like, man, I really thought I knew
- 32:54Speaker 4: this better, and I watched it. I'm like, I actually
- 32:57Speaker 4: had to take notes.
- 32:59Speaker 1: It was funny.
- 33:02Speaker 4: I think I've seen Traffic thunder more and there are actually,
- 33:07Speaker 4: I mean a lot of crossover characters and similarities, but
- 33:12Speaker 4: the actors are phenomenal in both. But yeah, just slightly
- 33:19Speaker 4: underwhelming for me, which is the first time I think
- 33:22Speaker 4: I've come to a movie where I was like huh.
- 33:26Speaker 4: All right, well, I still like it. It's not bad,
- 33:30Speaker 4: but it just didn't didn't hit like I thought it
- 33:33Speaker 4: was going to. I was excited to watch it, and
- 33:35Speaker 4: it was like, okay.
- 33:36Speaker 3: That's interesting quite a bit.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and then you're like, this is not what I'm
- 33:40Speaker 1: going to like go back to right ever again, like whatever?
- 33:44Speaker 3: Right?
- 33:44Speaker 4: I lot it because I was like, I'll watch this again,
- 33:48Speaker 4: and I probably will, like once a year, watch it again,
- 33:50Speaker 4: just to.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Yeah throw some yeah, but I would.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I would probably put wedding crashers or you know, a
- 34:01Speaker 4: handful of other Vince von movies.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 34:07Speaker 1: That's kind of an Alzheimer for sure. But I like that.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I like that.
- 34:11Speaker 4: So that is probably the hottest tike I've had.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Yea hot take, Hot take, buddy, I love it.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Hot. Well, let's go through and lame some of these
- 34:21Speaker 1: great actors their favorite acting performance. Let's name the dude.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Dude.
- 34:26Speaker 6: I'm the dude, so that's what you call me, you
- 34:29Speaker 6: know that, or his dude or duder or you know,
- 34:35Speaker 6: el dudo reno. If you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Nate, you want to go first with your dude.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Oh gosh, you guys are gonna make me cool. First,
- 34:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah, okay, so this is partially because of one
- 34:48Speaker 4: of my favorite podcasts at the moment, but you can
- 34:51Speaker 4: probably guess this one.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Wow.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Really, I am actually going to give the dude to
- 34:56Speaker 4: Jason Bates.
- 34:57Speaker 3: I love that.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Wow, love cause part of it is I listened to
- 35:03Speaker 4: the podcast and they do reference this movie being Pepper,
- 35:09Speaker 4: so it he just like rewatching this. That was like
- 35:16Speaker 4: the highlight every time he was on. I was like,
- 35:19Speaker 4: this is fantastic, What a weird character for him, and
- 35:27Speaker 4: it it just made me giggle because it was so
- 35:32Speaker 4: out and left field. The camaraderie between those two is
- 35:36Speaker 4: like they just nailed it. And I actually struggled because
- 35:41Speaker 4: all of like, this is an all star lineup. This
- 35:43Speaker 4: is it's like going back to the Outsiders when you're
- 35:47Speaker 4: just like, I don't know who to pick, and I mean,
- 35:51Speaker 4: when we get to the Tucci all, I'll give you those.
- 35:56Speaker 4: But yeah, I think I'm gonna go with Jason Bateman.
- 36:00Speaker 3: So I get it. Man. I love that.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Too, because like when he talks about on the I
- 36:05Speaker 1: feel like I've heard him say on the podcast because
- 36:07Speaker 1: I listened to like the Family went in for one day,
- 36:11Speaker 1: You know, and I was like, oh, yeah, of course, right,
- 36:13Speaker 1: that makes total sense. But it's so weird to think
- 36:16Speaker 1: that and then have it be such because what would
- 36:19Speaker 1: this movie be without that?
- 36:20Speaker 4: It would be such a less fun Yeah, oh way,
- 36:23Speaker 4: less fun.
- 36:23Speaker 3: It's fun.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Well the funny. Yeah, I was gonna say. The funny
- 36:27Speaker 4: thing in retrospect is I'm a huge, like, I didn't
- 36:31Speaker 4: grow up a Jason Bateman fan. I wasn't like, oh,
- 36:34Speaker 4: teen Wolf two, but I did see it. I don't
- 36:41Speaker 4: remember it, so I can't comment to but I just
- 36:46Speaker 4: through the years he's been in these things, and then
- 36:48Speaker 4: I became a huge Ozark fan. Yes, and I've seen
- 36:52Speaker 4: him in a few other things that I'm just like,
- 36:54Speaker 4: oh man, I really dig this. And then now listening
- 36:58Speaker 4: to the podcas cast SmartLess, it is like the three
- 37:04Speaker 4: of them together just crack me up because it literally
- 37:07Speaker 4: is like hanging out with you guys. They just are
- 37:10Speaker 4: so unfiltered.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Like he is such a i don't know, more of
- 37:18Speaker 1: like a tightwad than I thought, not money wise, just
- 37:21Speaker 1: like a kind of a something Yeah yeah, yeah, I
- 37:27Speaker 1: think yeah, which is which is super fun to see
- 37:30Speaker 1: them be like real people.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Oh yeah, not always the case. With celebrities, but those
- 37:36Speaker 4: three definitely, I feel like relate. I'm able to relate
- 37:41Speaker 4: to them, Like all of them. I'm like, oh nope, yep,
- 37:43Speaker 4: but get that, get that, get that. So I yeah,
- 37:47Speaker 4: now watching this in retrospect, I'm like, it makes it
- 37:50Speaker 4: funnier for me.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Yeah. And I feel like at the time when it
- 37:54Speaker 3: came out, he wasn't like known as this super funny
- 37:59Speaker 3: like guy agreed, you know what I mean? And then
- 38:03Speaker 3: I think this kind of changed his career trajectory a
- 38:07Speaker 3: little bit.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Is he then a bunch of those fun movies after this,
- 38:10Speaker 1: like even like The Change Up or Horrible Bosses or
- 38:13Speaker 1: The Switch or Yeah, he did with Melissa McCarthy was good, Identity, Theft,
- 38:21Speaker 1: Yeah that was good. He was in a bunch of
- 38:23Speaker 1: really funny, good movies.
- 38:24Speaker 3: I thought, anyway, Yeah, that's a fun pick for sure.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I love that. Yeah that's great.
- 38:29Speaker 4: A little out of left field, but yeah, that's my dude.
- 38:32Speaker 3: That's a good dude. I went a little more traditional.
- 38:36Speaker 3: I went with Vince Vaughan as Peter Lafleur. A big,
- 38:41Speaker 3: big Vince vaugh fan. I've always loved how he delivers
- 38:45Speaker 3: a line. His whole vibe. I agree with you bugs
- 38:49Speaker 3: in your hot take. He's so carefree, go with the flow.
- 38:54Speaker 3: He listens to everyone's problems and gives just kind of
- 38:57Speaker 3: a calming energy and yeah, little lethargic, and it just works.
- 39:03Speaker 3: It totally works.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really great.
- 39:05Speaker 3: And of course he's hilarious. Everything he says is so funny.
- 39:08Speaker 1: So yeah, and I really find the older I get,
- 39:10Speaker 1: the more identify with characters that don't have like a
- 39:13Speaker 1: lot of ambition, just like I get it man.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Good for you, yeah, you know, like I get it life.
- 39:21Speaker 1: I love that. That's a great pick as well. I
- 39:24Speaker 1: think I'm going to pick Ben Stiller for this one.
- 39:26Speaker 3: For me, I think all different.
- 39:28Speaker 1: He's obviously the like zaniest of the characters in this movie. Maybe,
- 39:33Speaker 1: but I just I think he's so good in this
- 39:36Speaker 1: And he's a dirt bag, you know to his actual wife,
- 39:40Speaker 1: which is really funny and actually maybe it makes it
- 39:43Speaker 1: easier I don't know, in like a weird way. But yeah,
- 39:47Speaker 1: he's just a dirt bag, but also like so neurotic
- 39:51Speaker 1: and strange and like does like the pizza bits and
- 39:56Speaker 1: all these things. Oh my god, that's very It's Tony
- 39:59Speaker 1: Purkis by the way for Heavyweights. I just came in it.
- 40:02Speaker 1: It just came in here, all right. But yeah, he's
- 40:07Speaker 1: I think he's just this airicle in this, and I
- 40:08Speaker 1: don't think it's just because it reminds me of Pavyightes.
- 40:11Speaker 1: But that's probably not a small party either.
- 40:14Speaker 3: So No, he was for sure funny in this, and
- 40:16Speaker 3: you got some voice and he got to show off
- 40:19Speaker 3: his wife and show off that he's in good shape,
- 40:22Speaker 3: and yeah, it was. It was good.
- 40:24Speaker 4: What other movie because they have that dynamic in like
- 40:29Speaker 4: a couple of things and I'm forgetting what else they're
- 40:32Speaker 4: in together?
- 40:33Speaker 1: Balloons? Ope, sorry Patreon dot com Slash the Oven endorsement if.
- 40:42Speaker 3: You want to watch check it out.
- 40:43Speaker 1: You could be a member today. Go ahead.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Something else together where they kind of have a similar
- 40:51Speaker 4: dynamic where he's just like a huge dirtpeg and she's
- 40:54Speaker 4: like the nice great and.
- 40:56Speaker 3: My frozen I'm from Stiller and Christine Taylor.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like they're in something else or maybe
- 41:01Speaker 4: this is what I was thinking of.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Yeah, probably.
- 41:07Speaker 4: It also I mean he's he's in friends and she's
- 41:10Speaker 4: in friends and they're not in the same sure season.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Yep.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I actually just saw. I was like, are they still together?
- 41:16Speaker 3: And apparently they had broken up, separated, and then got
- 41:22Speaker 3: back together during the pandemic. They took like five years
- 41:25Speaker 3: off and then they're back together. Isn't that interesting?
- 41:29Speaker 1: I just took five years off as I was frozen
- 41:31Speaker 1: during that time. Did you guys notice I must be
- 41:35Speaker 1: a quality part of this? So what they broke up
- 41:40Speaker 1: for a few years, Yeah.
- 41:42Speaker 3: They sure did, and then the pandemic kind of brought
- 41:45Speaker 3: them back together and they're still together to this day.
- 41:47Speaker 4: For them, For them, they're like, oh, we have nobody
- 41:50Speaker 4: to talk to, we should talk.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like it was a fairly common theme
- 41:57Speaker 4: during COVID.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, true, Yeah, they felt like it kind of went.
- 42:02Speaker 3: You know, you either found out that you really like
- 42:04Speaker 3: each other, you found out you really don't like each other.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Sure, sure, sure, yeah, Well they probably have kids together
- 42:10Speaker 1: and stuff, right like I would guess anyway, I guess
- 42:13Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 42:14Speaker 3: But yeah, but that's a fun, dude. I think we
- 42:17Speaker 3: should keep on going. Let's go to our supporting characters
- 42:20Speaker 3: and let's pick the Tucci a load to chi.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Okay, Nate, you're first, who's your all? Right? The touches
- 42:29Speaker 4: is a tough one for me.
- 42:31Speaker 1: There's a lot.
- 42:33Speaker 4: There are so many. I literally could have picked every character.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Yeah, just picked one and then we'll come back for
- 42:39Speaker 1: honorable mentions.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Because of what we were just talking about. I am
- 42:44Speaker 4: picking Christine Taylor Nice.
- 42:46Speaker 1: I love it.
- 42:48Speaker 4: She's fantastic. She's so funny and like, it's even funnier
- 42:54Speaker 4: knowing that they're married. Sure, she just came off is
- 43:00Speaker 4: so sweet and you know, kind of lovable, but also
- 43:06Speaker 4: not like dumb, you know, just the girl that you
- 43:11Speaker 4: would hope you would meet at the bar if you
- 43:13Speaker 4: were in that situation.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Sure.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Oh man, I just wish I knew her when I
- 43:18Speaker 4: was twenty seven, when I was playing doshball. No, it
- 43:25Speaker 4: was great, it like and not in even a romantic way.
- 43:28Speaker 4: It just she encapsulated so many like little things that
- 43:32Speaker 4: made her endearing totally. So I do have a very
- 43:37Speaker 4: very close second to that, but I won't see it
- 43:40Speaker 4: right now.
- 43:42Speaker 3: I also loved her little side thing that she loved
- 43:45Speaker 3: unicorns in her house was so ridiculous fun. That was
- 43:49Speaker 3: a strong choice. I like unicorns. Yeah, I would have
- 43:56Speaker 3: picked Ben Steeler for all the reasons Buggs had said
- 43:59Speaker 3: for his dude My backup though, would have been Stephen
- 44:03Speaker 3: Root as Gordon so good. I love Stephen Root. He
- 44:08Speaker 3: always transforms into his characters. He never plays the same
- 44:13Speaker 3: role twice. He was so funny in this I loved it.
- 44:19Speaker 1: And you know, speaking of homage is Rob, I thought
- 44:22Speaker 1: he was specifically pulling a Rick Moranis from Ghostbusters here
- 44:25Speaker 1: a little bit with this character, because he did like
- 44:28Speaker 1: the the like fast talking as he was going off
- 44:31Speaker 1: the screen and stuff quite a few times. I'm sure
- 44:34Speaker 1: Rick Morani's also like is not the first person, but
- 44:38Speaker 1: he really made me think of him this time on
- 44:39Speaker 1: this rewatch. Sure I can see that he's.
- 44:44Speaker 4: There were a few moments because he wears the goggles. Yeah, yes,
- 44:50Speaker 4: very like you don't see it often because he plays
- 44:53Speaker 4: a fairly diverse.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Place.
- 44:57Speaker 4: He's that guy. But like a few minor moments where
- 45:01Speaker 4: I was like office Space Milton, Milton.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Like is it but he Yeah, he never got into
- 45:06Speaker 3: that voice, but I could definitely see that.
- 45:09Speaker 1: But I did goggles. Though.
- 45:10Speaker 5: I guess I.
- 45:11Speaker 4: Didn't know who he was because we didn't again have
- 45:14Speaker 4: the Internet when all this stuff came out, so like,
- 45:17Speaker 4: I did not know who Milton was in Office Space
- 45:21Speaker 4: and now going back, I'm like, oh, that's that is awesome.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I've known Stephen Rude forever. I really liked that
- 45:29Speaker 3: news radio show back in the day too. He was
- 45:32Speaker 3: one of the main characters in that, so I've kind
- 45:34Speaker 3: of been following him forever.
- 45:36Speaker 1: He's wonderful dude.
- 45:37Speaker 3: He's always always good to solid in everything. He might
- 45:40Speaker 3: be in some not great things, but he didn't make
- 45:43Speaker 3: it not great. He's always going to be. No, he's
- 45:46Speaker 3: always making it better.
- 45:48Speaker 1: That's a good call, Yeah, super good call. Like that
- 45:51Speaker 1: what you got, buddy. Well, all the people we've already
- 45:55Speaker 1: said would have been on my list too, so just
- 45:57Speaker 1: to shout out to all of them, I thought they
- 45:58Speaker 1: were really fun. Quick shout out to Patton Oswalt because
- 46:03Speaker 1: he does a couple of voiceovers in this This.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Is the first time that I've ever noticed that. I
- 46:08Speaker 3: noticed it, and he's.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Uncredited, right.
- 46:11Speaker 3: I noticed it in the Pizza down the Pants. I
- 46:15Speaker 3: did not catch the first one.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I thought the first one, and then the second one
- 46:19Speaker 1: came and I was like, it's got to be him
- 46:20Speaker 1: in the first one, and they just gave him more
- 46:22Speaker 1: to do, Like he's just really funny. I don't know,
- 46:24Speaker 1: I really liked that a lot, and then I wrote
- 46:28Speaker 1: down Jason Bateman, uh but uh, Aludic plays the weirdest,
- 46:34Speaker 1: weirdest role. It's very strange. I like him a lot.
- 46:38Speaker 1: On rewatch. I still don't really get why that exists,
- 46:42Speaker 1: but neither other than I guess. They just accept him.
- 46:45Speaker 1: And that's beautiful in its own right.
- 46:47Speaker 3: To It's so random, and I remember thinking that at
- 46:50Speaker 3: the time. I'm just like, this is this It almost
- 46:54Speaker 3: takes me out of it.
- 46:55Speaker 1: But a payoff for it. That was the weirdest part,
- 46:58Speaker 1: Like the treasure. Yeah, I guess, but okay, cool. But
- 47:04Speaker 1: I love him so much that I still like, I'm in.
- 47:07Speaker 3: I love him. I can't believe you named all these
- 47:09Speaker 3: people and you haven't said Rip Torn as Patrick, I was.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Just gonna say, Rip Torn's amazing. It's almost like a given.
- 47:15Speaker 3: It's like when pretty much when I think of this movie,
- 47:19Speaker 3: I think of rip Torn as if you can dodge
- 47:22Speaker 3: a wrench, you can dodge a bull.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Yeah, he is the quote of the movie, right, Oh
- 47:28Speaker 1: for sure?
- 47:29Speaker 4: Good yeah, how many times I've said that in my life?
- 47:32Speaker 3: So many times that's one of the regular quotes, for sure.
- 47:36Speaker 1: I mean, at least three or four of my favorite
- 47:38Speaker 1: quotes from this movie for sure, or just him. He's
- 47:41Speaker 1: hysterical in it.
- 47:43Speaker 3: All right, p r r P.
- 47:45Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, can I run her up? Yeah, of course
- 47:50Speaker 4: now after Rob led in the intro about how the
- 47:55Speaker 4: Chris Farley stuff, Yep. I'm a huge Justin Long fan.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Me too, And.
- 48:03Speaker 4: Like, there's so many things I love him in. He
- 48:08Speaker 4: plays the weird characters just to my liking, like just
- 48:15Speaker 4: so fun. And I was gonna pick him because he's
- 48:17Speaker 4: like the underdog and just kind of has that like
- 48:22Speaker 4: nerdy quality. I mean, I loved him and New Girl
- 48:25Speaker 4: Accepted is one of my favorite movies. Plays that, Yeah,
- 48:34Speaker 4: that I was gonna give it to him. But yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 4: Christine Taylor was just a little more out in front
- 48:42Speaker 4: like that.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I like that. Also. I have a runner up that
- 48:46Speaker 1: I didn't say, Lorie Beth Denberk, who was in All
- 48:51Speaker 1: That Back in the Day. She is the it's not
- 48:54Speaker 1: a great part because they like are making fun of
- 48:56Speaker 1: her weight, but she's the larger cheerleader. She was on
- 49:02Speaker 1: Did you ever watch All That Back in the Day.
- 49:04Speaker 3: I don't even know what that was.
- 49:05Speaker 1: It was a Nickelodeon like sketch show. Basically, and it
- 49:09Speaker 1: had Keenan and killing it and like a bunch of
- 49:11Speaker 1: other people that were in it. Did you watch that
- 49:14Speaker 1: night at all?
- 49:16Speaker 4: I did, And then upon watching the new documentary or
- 49:23Speaker 4: whatever it's called the I'm blanking on the name of it,
- 49:28Speaker 4: I don't know either.
- 49:29Speaker 3: But it shed light on that Nickelodeon people.
- 49:34Speaker 4: Yeah, so I grew up on like everything in that documentary,
- 49:37Speaker 4: and I remember, like, as I watch it, I was like,
- 49:42Speaker 4: I feel so bad for liking all of this, not know,
- 49:47Speaker 4: we didn't know, but it was what a bummery Like
- 49:50Speaker 4: I felt for all of the people that were involved
- 49:53Speaker 4: course Nickelodeon shows, because it was like some of them
- 49:56Speaker 4: did get out unscathed, but like a lot of them didn't. Yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 4: And I like, even rewatching this, I remember her and
- 50:04Speaker 4: that stuff, and I.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Was like, I was not familiar with her.
- 50:08Speaker 1: She's so funny, and again the part she plays in
- 50:11Speaker 1: this is not like awesome because they're just like she's making.
- 50:16Speaker 4: You know, she's a big cheerleader.
- 50:19Speaker 1: I just wanted to give her shout out because I
- 50:20Speaker 1: don't think she's done a lot else since then. She
- 50:24Speaker 1: was so funny back in the day on that show.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I always really liked her.
- 50:27Speaker 3: So she was It was super fun seeing Hank's area
- 50:30Speaker 3: for a minute as the young Hank area. William Shatner,
- 50:35Speaker 3: I honestly did not remember William Shatner was in it.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Me neither.
- 50:40Speaker 3: I didn't remember it one percent.
- 50:42Speaker 1: With you, I was like, man, this is a great movie,
- 50:44Speaker 1: game movie. Yeah, it's a lot of stuff happening now.
- 50:48Speaker 3: I do remember Chuck Norris just because of the line
- 50:51Speaker 3: at the end, which is so funny. Lance Armstrong had
- 50:56Speaker 3: a pretty hilarious cameo, especially in Red respect yes, considering
- 51:03Speaker 3: he was cheating and everything. Great, that Missy Pile is
- 51:09Speaker 3: so funny. It's so like, she's very pretty. And they
- 51:12Speaker 3: really that she was the from They didn't say Romania.
- 51:19Speaker 3: What did they call the country?
- 51:21Speaker 1: That she is a really beautiful man.
- 51:24Speaker 4: They made her just very They did a really good
- 51:28Speaker 4: job of.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I like her, she's funny.
- 51:34Speaker 3: And then yeah, just that David house Off cameo. It
- 51:36Speaker 3: was funny.
- 51:37Speaker 1: I love that.
- 51:38Speaker 3: That's all I had.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Also, uh, who is the other person I just thought
- 51:43Speaker 1: of that was in it for like a hot second.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I lost it.
- 51:48Speaker 3: It's gone, forever, gone, forever.
- 51:50Speaker 1: It doesn't matter a lot of good Oh.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Well, Gary Cole, we said Jason Bateman, but we didn't
- 51:54Speaker 3: say Gary Cole. The other commentator who was so.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Booker is the other one I was thinking of, Curtis
- 52:01Speaker 1: Armstrong Strong just a hot second.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Troue four seventeen.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Yeah, really funny, like.
- 52:09Speaker 3: That was funny.
- 52:10Speaker 4: I totally forgot about that whole like.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I didn't because the goddamn it Bernice line. It cracks
- 52:16Speaker 1: me up every time.
- 52:17Speaker 3: But it's hilarious with the hairy arms.
- 52:22Speaker 1: And bad but I love it so much.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's funny.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Well, speaking of these little kids, so funny funny scenes,
- 52:30Speaker 1: I think we should go and pick our favorite scene,
- 52:32Speaker 1: and let's pick the Dusky Sons.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Is quite simple, really, dingus dinghus.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I could talk about my dingas all night long. All Right,
- 52:43Speaker 1: what do you go for your dangis? Oh, this is tough,
- 52:51Speaker 1: It's kind of tough. This one is the whole top five.
- 52:53Speaker 4: There are so many good one liners that like that
- 52:56Speaker 4: makes scenes in this movie that I'm probably, uh, I'm
- 53:06Speaker 4: probably gonna go with the scene where because this actually
- 53:10Speaker 4: made me audibly laugh out loud when they got their jerseys.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Yes stuff, and it's.
- 53:21Speaker 4: The Dominatrix stuff that left so hard and then they
- 53:30Speaker 4: all like you're thinking like, oh, there's no way they
- 53:33Speaker 4: put this on, and then they all roll out in
- 53:38Speaker 4: dominate strings.
- 53:40Speaker 3: I don't.
- 53:41Speaker 4: That's the juvenile in me. That just was like, yep,
- 53:44Speaker 4: it's hilarious, that's fun.
- 53:47Speaker 3: And then has that you know, there's the submissive or
- 53:51Speaker 3: whatever he does. The line was I didn't.
- 53:59Speaker 4: It's sure it's in my quotes.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, probably shows up.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Then you must be daddy. I do love that daddy
- 54:14Speaker 3: necklace that Vince Fought is sporting.
- 54:17Speaker 1: That's Hilary Christmas is right around the corner, right, Yeah, buddy, Daddy,
- 54:23Speaker 1: would you wear it? If I bought that?
- 54:25Speaker 3: Absolutely not and you really wouldn't see.
- 54:28Speaker 1: It would just you would be for me, I'd have
- 54:32Speaker 1: to move a few chins for myself.
- 54:37Speaker 3: That is a good one. Picking one as well. So
- 54:42Speaker 3: I did go with my favorite line that I think of,
- 54:45Speaker 3: and I'll just say the dodgeball training montage, which the
- 54:51Speaker 3: line if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge
- 54:53Speaker 3: a ball. Uh and justin long getting just rocked with
- 54:57Speaker 3: that wrench is the funniest. It's so funny. It looks
- 55:04Speaker 3: like a real wrench. He acts like it's a real wrench.
- 55:07Speaker 3: It makes me laugh so hard. And then also you
- 55:11Speaker 3: get the if you can dodge traffic, you can dodge
- 55:13Speaker 3: a ball backyard. It's pretty great stuff.
- 55:20Speaker 1: It's really delightful. It's really delightful. Oh that's a great scene.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I had both of those written down, so that's amazing.
- 55:30Speaker 1: And then I put from my third one. I put
- 55:33Speaker 1: Christine Taylor and Ben Stiller just there back and forth
- 55:36Speaker 1: because I love that so much. But the one where
- 55:38Speaker 1: she fights back and she's like no, you know, like
- 55:42Speaker 1: get the hell out of here or whatever. Yeah, Oh
- 55:44Speaker 1: that's so great. I love that scene, so so funny.
- 55:48Speaker 1: He has a great line that I know will come up,
- 55:51Speaker 1: and definitely it's just it's I mean, it's super creepy
- 55:56Speaker 1: and awful, but it's also really fun.
- 55:57Speaker 3: It's funny. I'm with you.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fantastic.
- 56:02Speaker 3: Did you have another runner up, Nate?
- 56:07Speaker 4: I mean that's the hard part about this movie. Yeah,
- 56:11Speaker 4: Like every third scene but right rewatching and then the
- 56:19Speaker 4: timing for the you can dodge a wrench you can
- 56:22Speaker 4: dodge a ball, like they just the way the wrench
- 56:28Speaker 4: hits him was so it just like boom, like out
- 56:32Speaker 4: of nowhere.
- 56:33Speaker 3: But you're not expecting makes it great.
- 56:37Speaker 4: It is so absurd like that, that and well that
- 56:42Speaker 4: and the you can you can dodge traffic, you dodge
- 56:45Speaker 4: a ball like that also just cracked me up.
- 56:49Speaker 3: It's good.
- 56:50Speaker 1: So the way he crumbles to the ground really cracks
- 56:53Speaker 1: me up. It's really good. For sure.
- 56:58Speaker 3: I had two other things written down. I just had
- 57:00Speaker 3: pretty much anytime Pepper and Cotton have commentary.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Because the commentary is so funny.
- 57:07Speaker 3: It's always funny and it's always because of them. And
- 57:11Speaker 3: then my favorite Dodgeball scene is when Steven Root has
- 57:16Speaker 3: to get angry one on five and he just goes nuts.
- 57:22Speaker 1: I love that the wife who was mean to him
- 57:24Speaker 1: and we never get a payoff just mean to him.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:29Speaker 4: I like how he plays it down too, like how
- 57:31Speaker 4: that's that's how it's.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Supposed to be. Yeah, yeah, that's great.
- 57:35Speaker 4: I also I want to google this quick just to
- 57:38Speaker 4: make sure I'm not being a complete idiot. But he
- 57:44Speaker 4: is in Cedar Rapids. Have you guys seen that movie?
- 57:52Speaker 4: Is he not in that?
- 57:55Speaker 3: He's in Cedar Rapids?
- 57:57Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 57:57Speaker 4: I remember him kind of being a dick in that. Yeah,
- 58:00Speaker 4: and it like I he just when I see he's
- 58:08Speaker 4: an actor, I don't remember. I'm not like, oh, I
- 58:11Speaker 4: should go watch his movies, but every time I see him,
- 58:15Speaker 4: I'm like, ah, so good.
- 58:17Speaker 3: But he's always good. He's wonderful, you know, brother Art
- 58:19Speaker 3: though he's like the blind like recording guy and get Out,
- 58:24Speaker 3: he's also blind, which is interesting.
- 58:26Speaker 1: That is that's a good, that's a good.
- 58:28Speaker 3: He's been rocking Barry that show.
- 58:31Speaker 1: He's really good.
- 58:32Speaker 3: Hater. Yeah, so, I mean he's he's a wonderful actor
- 58:36Speaker 3: for sure.
- 58:36Speaker 1: He so does a ton of voice stuff too, I think, yeah, yeah,
- 58:40Speaker 1: cartoons and things.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Well we picked a lot of things. What
- 58:45Speaker 3: do we what do we think for for the if
- 58:47Speaker 3: we had to choose one, I'm great with the montage.
- 58:50Speaker 3: The montage.
- 58:52Speaker 1: It sounds like we're all pretty much.
- 58:54Speaker 3: With that wrench. I think I love it so much.
- 58:59Speaker 4: We've been voting it for twenty years.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Yeah. True, Well that's a really good segue too. The
- 59:04Speaker 3: dings has been chosen, and Nate said, we've been quoting
- 59:07Speaker 3: it for so many years. Let's go to our favorite quotes.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Show me the money, show me the money, show me
- 59:17Speaker 1: the money.
- 59:21Speaker 4: I don't have any money.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Oh well, then just read that quote that we keep
- 59:25Speaker 1: saying over and over, over and over and whatever other
- 59:28Speaker 1: ones you want to say, because there's a lot for
- 59:30Speaker 1: this movie.
- 59:31Speaker 4: Do you want to talk about that one or do
- 59:32Speaker 4: we want to talk about others?
- 59:34Speaker 3: Let's yeah, well we've said, yeah, if you can dodge
- 59:36Speaker 3: a rench, you can dodge a ball. Yep.
- 59:38Speaker 1: So that's probably the title of this podcast. I would
- 59:41Speaker 1: for sure is And so yeah, say some more, Nate.
- 59:44Speaker 4: I mean it's not as funny in context when I
- 59:46Speaker 4: just say it, but f and a cotton yep. I
- 59:49Speaker 4: have used that since two thousand and four.
- 59:52Speaker 3: You for sure, I can. I can confirm do that.
- 59:56Speaker 1: And like it's a bold move cotton. Let's see if
- 59:58Speaker 1: it pays off for him.
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: That's another one, like every moment of their interaction. Yeah, like, oh,
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: write in the testicles ouch population you bro like uh.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: And there was one I did not put in my
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: quotes notes because it was a little out there, but
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: it's kind of stuck in my brain from rip there's
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: a couple. There's a couple uh that he says that
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: You're just like, I don't think I can say that.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: No. No, I definitely didn't write down some.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Are you Are you talking about the lesbian one? No? One.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: It's so funny. I can't.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: I was watching it. Chelsea was reading and I was
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: watching it and that line came on and I laughed
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: so hard and she was just kind of giving me.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Too hard.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: Dude, I impressed my wife so much.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Funny because it's so ridiculous. Yeah, I get it, she's right.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: But yeah, no, it was the It was the reference
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: to the male genitalia tasting like being a totsy pop
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: but tasting like a.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Oh see, now I didn't have the unrated I heard
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: that that's the unrated the the regular one is a
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: poopy flavored lollipop.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I have the unrated version.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Okay, funny, what is the unrated like? It tasts like
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: a wie wi or something.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like a totsy pop, tasting like a Yeah.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: That's funny, but yeah that's bad.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: But it was poopy flavored lollipop was hilarious.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought the poopy one was actually bad.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: About as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: You know, some people like black liquor, some people like
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: a poopy flavored lollipop. It's fine there, it is room
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: for all times. That's really great.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I got of his.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I there were a couple of his that I
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: was like, man, they're so funny, but also like I
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: probably I'm just too Midwestern and in this day and age,
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: I don't feel like I should promote that.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: And I don't need a recording of me saying some
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: of those things.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: For sure. I don't have the future. I'll say it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I don't know there it is. Oh god, man, funny.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I love that. Well.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Patches did say one thing that was really funny. If
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: you're going to become true dodgeballers, then you've got to
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: learn the five d's of dodgeball. Dodge, duck, dip, dive,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: and dodge.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: And he kind of hesitates before the last dodge, which
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I think is so great dodge. Yeah.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Hank's area really did that in the video.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Such a great voice too.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: He he's fantastic and so many things ye here that
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: can I add one more for mine?
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: One that really.
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: Made me laugh was Cotton and Pepper. Looks like it's
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: going to be a two on one. A menage twave
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: pain usually have to pay double for that kind of action.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: Cotton, Yeah, that's average. Jose does a tough job facing
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: the lumberjacks. These was been probably haven't smelled a woman
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: in eight months. They must masturbade a lot cotton, just
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: throwing out all the.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: Pretty much any interaction between them is so funny.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: It is. It is for sure the other quote that
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: I think of all the time in this and the egs.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: You had alluded to it. But the nobody makes me
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: bleed my own blood.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Nobody, nobody, it's right there with shut your mouth when
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: you're talking to me, like the.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Similar and I'll do one more. But I always have
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: loved when his wife gives him the loser sign. He's
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: like l for love for love. I've always loved that
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: so much, lays.
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: It off so well, you believe that he just is like, no,
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: that's hell for love.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: What do you say? Some bugs?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Uh? This one always sticks with me. Necessary. Is it
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: necessary for me to drink my own urine? No? Probably
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: not no, but I do it anyway because it's sterile
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: and I like the taste.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: And I like the taste and then you see it's
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: like real kind of yellow brownish teeth.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Come on, man, so good? Love that so much? Uh again,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: we kind of said this one, but just to say
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: the whole line Unfortunately for Troop four one seven, during
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: the a d AA required random drug screening. What are
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: your players tested positive for three separate types of anabolic
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: steroids and a low grade beaver tranquilizer. I'm afraid by
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: rule your team must be disqualified.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: God damn you, Bernice.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: It cracks me up. I'm stupid, I know, but I
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: love it really fun. That's great, Go ahead and make
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: your jokes, mister Joki Jokerson really stuff.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: We have not touched on half of the Ben's Killer.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: He's like, I can't even repeat the lines because they're
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: so like out of memory. They're they're like there's no
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: way that was written like those are that's a prod.
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: And oh they're so good with him and Christine Taylor
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: where it's just like, well, hold on, I actually I
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: have one.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: That's like, oh, I don't think that I'm not a
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: lot dumber than I think you thought I was. Once.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: It's like, what, They're just all over the place, and
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: it's like hard to track them in the moment, but
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: they're so funny.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Man. One that always tracks for me is Jony loves Shatty.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Cram it up your cram hole. La floor is always
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: a great one. Yep, Duck Norris is a great.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: I loved that.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Also early on when they're lifting and he's like Bence
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Spiller's like in volunteer spatsims, in volunteer spatsoms, look at
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: the show, enjoyed the show. That is the maniac.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: That was another one that I didn't right down because
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: I wasn't sure how to explain.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Oh, it's so funny.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: It is so funny watching him trying to lift those
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: weights and you're like.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Pepper needs new shortsts.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Also like I think this is during the video too, but.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: That boy Tiger. But remember, datchball is a sport of violence, exclusion,
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: and degradation. So when you're picking players in gym class,
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: remember to pick the bigger and stronger players for your team.
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: That way you can all gang up on the weaker
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: ones like Winston here whack bam really good.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and this one has to be said. I
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: can't believe I haven't said it yet, but we should
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: mate what date?
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: Date?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I said, we should date sometime, you know, socially go
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: out and kick it and then sheeps, He's like, are
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: you okay? I'm fine. I just threw up at my
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: mouth a little bit. Yeah, yep, that was one of them.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Oh that's so good.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: Oh I read that in a book, in a book,
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: in a book. Yeah, there are a lot of great
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: liners in this. And if you look at the cast
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: and all the movies that they are in following and
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: previous to this, like the writers in these movies are
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: so fantastic. They just it's so funny.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: They got a lot of good stuff. I love when
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: Peter says, come on, Kate, it's time to put your
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: mouth where our balls are. I didn't remember that one.
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: I did not remember there being as many ball jokes.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: There are a lot, Yeah, which makes switch, but yeah,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: you I didn't remember that either.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Yeah, like one of the Pepper and Cotton, he was like,
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: oh he's he's ballless now or something. And then you
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: just hear Jason Bateman he's got no balls.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Cotton got no balls. It's like, I can't believe it.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: It's just not believable. Cotton, it's just the same thing.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's shocking. I am shocked.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: You know what.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: That reminds me of sac Alfanekis and the Hangover where
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: there's like god, damn it, gosh, darn.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: It, no that's hilarious.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: And which if you look at some of these movies,
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: there is I I would love to actually sit down
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: and go through like Crossover Cast, because there are a
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: lot of little tiny moments like that that kind of
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: go through all of these I like that, which I
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: very much enjoy. I love little things that stuff to
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: get or.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: It'd be fun to do like a super cut of
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: that or something if someone had just all the time
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: in the world, you know, that'd be cool.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's nice.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I forgot about the car wash stuff completely.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Oh my god. The guy playing with his belly button.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Oh, it's so funny.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: That's so gross.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: It's so bad and so funny. And then afterward they're
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: like they're talking about like those they they beat us
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: and we hate them. And then he's like, now, come on,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: the girls beat us fair and square. Now I for
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: one am going to go over there and congratulate all
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: of them individually, right, But yeah, the guy just like
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: gently playing with his belly.
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: That's it, boy, get in there nice.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: And deep deep, really funny.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: When they when they talk about how they want to
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: raise the money, he's like, well, we can give blood
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: and seamen. And then later on Peterlfer is like you
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: had yeah, blood and seamen, which was pretty great.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Also in that part, it's like I think it's the
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: pirate guy reacts and he's like, he's like, you're not
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: mixed together, right? Yeah? Gross?
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: Well, I guess if the person ever quit when the
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: going got tough, they wouldn't have anything to regret for
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: the rest of their life. But good luck to you, Peter.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: I'm sure this decision won't haunt you forever.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: That's not heavy handed at all.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: It was amazing.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: That's really great. I liked that a lot.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Last time I wrote down is too bad Hallmark doesn't
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: make a sorry or Dodgeball coach got killed by two
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: tons of irony card.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Also before that, it's like, I think it's how he
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: would have wanted to go, And then the one guy
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: just goes, what what it's the big tall guy who
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: says like, I think that's how he would have wanted
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: to go, Like, what the hell are you talking about?
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: All I had though, Yeah, I meets you. That's fun.
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I could have taken notes for a while, And
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: despite my hot take being I did enjoy the nostalgia.
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: It just didn't tickle all the parts that I thought it.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Sure, Yeah, I get that. I get that. Nice.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Well, let's go to the crying game. Bigs boo mummons
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: wow zero zero boohoosh, I'm not going to entertain it
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: zero booho's.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Not a lot of opportunity for crying in this movie.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: It's a nunner again on a roll.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: We're on a roll.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I am heartless.
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: Uh, Biggs, did you want to come and rowatch Titanic? Oh?
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: Boy, that one would get me. Now we watched Lord
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: of the Rings, which I'm due for a rewatch. That's
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: gonna be something something. All right, let's go into some
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: movie terrivia here. According to many cast members, the hardest
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: part of filming the dodgeball scenes was not Flint when
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: they were about to be hit by a ball, and
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, that makes sense. That would be
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: really hard to do to get like a natural shot.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Absolutely, that would be impossible. Really, I feel like you'd
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: have to try and just do it, like when they're not.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Don't tell me, yeah, don't tell me or something. It
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: really made me I really want Home Free to for
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: some reason, to like a music video where you guys
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: are getting hit by dodgeballs like super slow mo.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: You know, I'd pay for that.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: That'd be really funny. I think we should.
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: You should watch Our Life as a Highway newest one
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: that's similar, because we do have this the slow mo
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: what what did he use a leaf blower? Yeah, to
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: make our mouths go all crazy in slow motions that
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: I'd like to see you get hit though.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I think that would really hit up the ante a
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: little bit. Maybe just a solo video view getting hit
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: over and.
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: That's gonna be my only fans and golfing.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Adult dodgeball leagues began to spring up across the country
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: around the time of this movie's release, and cast member
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Gary Cole was even invited to a tournament in Chicago,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: which is really funny. I liked that. Let's see so
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: this I think is great and it really it's part
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: of our dinga scene, so I wanted to mention it.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Justin Long's eyebrow was actually cut open by the first
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: wrench that was thrown at him. The wrench was made
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: of rubber, but the first one was harder than all
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: of the others, so it really smoke.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: It looked like it.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm ever that will live rent free in my
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: brain forever. Oh, it's so funny.
- 1:14:51Speaker 4: Have you guys seen You Girl?
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Yeah, he's fantastic in it.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Oh, he's great in a weird vein. Is it a
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: similar character?
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I fought that, Like, what's his character? Why can't
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: I think of it right now?
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: I can't think of his name?
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: Oh, no chance, but say it a lot.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: He calls Nick Nicholas, which I love so much. It's
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: so funny.
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: Yes, he's a teacher, but anyway, yeah, he Maybe that's
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: why I liked it so much, because I did really
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: like New Girl and accept it and most of the
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: things he's in. He's in so many things.
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: Yeah, Waiting, he was super good and Waiting too.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, he is really great. And that that's a good one.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: That's an under that is an underrated.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: That one probably doesn't age. Well, it's no chance, but
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: I did love it at the.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: Time, same, same, same, Yeah, let's see. Many studios, including
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: dream Works and Metro Goldwyn Mayer, passed on the movie.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Twentieth Century Fox finally agreed when Ben Stiller reduced his
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: salary to well under a million dollars, and as of
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: March two thousand, and five. The movie has grossed over
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty four million when it cost only
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: twenty three million to make.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: Wow, that's a good I was back when comedy's made
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: that kind of money.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Also, they just don't make that like that level of
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: it's either like way less than that or way more
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: than that for budget.
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, like, yeah, so it's interesting.
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: That's actually been a big discussion on SmartLess.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's probably.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Where I'm still how they just say that.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, they just don't make comedy like we are
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: at a we're in a comedy drought right now. Like
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: they just don't. It's either the marvel like semi serious comedies,
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: but they don't do like they don't just make a
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: comedy because they're hit or miss.
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: Vince Vaughn episode. He definitely they definitely go into that.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Sure, that's really that was a good episode.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Let's see, I thought this was fun. On the unrated DVD,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: it contains a fake commentary where Ben Stiller and two
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: main actors do nothing but fight as well as claim
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: that they hate each other, and then about forty minutes
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: into it, they just storm out and then the commentary
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: is replaced with commentary for There's Something about Mary, and
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: the real commentary is like an Easter egg that you
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: can find elsewhere on there. But that was really funny,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: like what a silly what a silly thing. And speaking
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: of those Easter eggs, apparently they really went wild with
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: the DVD because in the special feature section of the DVD,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: if you click on the Globo Jim logo at the bottom,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: you'll see a short video with White Goodman talking about
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Easter eggs on the DVD. He tells you if you
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: press enter every time he snaps his finger in the movie,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: you'll see an Easter egg, and apparently he does it
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: four times and they are then like a deleted scene
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: will pop up basically oh wow, which is really fun.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I love that they did that. There's like a tanning
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: bed scene, uh something with a little bird.
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that was in my in my un.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Nice nice yea. So maybe they just included them then,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: but I thought that was kind of fun, like because
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: he snaps a few times in the movie, and apparently
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: every time you do that, if you press enter on
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: the old DVD, you would get like an extra special
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Easter egg, which is fun.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: Did you guys notice his giant dong piece.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Well, yeah, he even even inflates it at one point.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: Yeah, he pumps it up.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: It's hilarious at the Jordan pumps.
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: Just yeah. Sorry, I wasn't sure if we're going to
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: talk about that, but it is something I noticed.
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: I guess you did.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I have called my Taylor after I saw it. I'm
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: interested in some modifications.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: The Penn Stiller broke three cameras in succession filming one
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: scene and even hit his wife, Christine Taylor in the
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: face with the presumably when used.
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: To I'm assuming it to be, and that's why they
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: broke up for five years.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess. Terrible Armber.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: Four.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: In August of twenty seventeen, ESPN you changed it. It
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: changed its name to ESPN eight the ochow in homage
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: to this, and they showed and I think they still
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: do this every year, but they'll showed like obscure sporting events,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: including dodgeball tournaments during that time, which I think is
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: really fun. Carry Cole and Jason Bateman had to keep
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: redoing their voice recordings for the dodgeball matches because the
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: screenplay changed during the shoots, so they had to adjust
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: to what they shot. I guess. But oh, they do
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: have kids. Ben Still and Christine Taylor had an eighteen
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: month old baby at home while shooting this movie. Taylor
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: was apparently so exhausted from taking care of the baby
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: that she often dozed off in between takes, which bless
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: her heart. That's a you. No, that's a tough time.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: I don't I didn't birth the child.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Well, that's fair. You were around, I was. I was like.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: They practiced playing dodgeball for about a month before filming began,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: and that must have been pretty fun. Oh, it must
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: have been a good time. And apparently this is one
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: of Dame Helen Mirren's favorite movies, according to Rotten Tomatoes.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: I love that. That is so random.
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: That's fantastic.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: I think it was, you know, something so funny. Yeah, not,
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: that's good.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Absolutely, that was all I had. Buddy, did you have
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: anything that you found?
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: I saw that The director wrote the roles of Peter Lafleur,
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: White Goodman and Justin with Vince von Ben Stiller and
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: Justin Long respectively in Mind and apparently Norm McDonald can
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: be seen in some of the global Gym scenes. And yeah,
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: one is in the Global Gym commercial where he is
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: in the background working out. At one point he's talking
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: to some girl who's working out, and this looks like
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: he is hitting on her. Never noticed that, and I
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: didn't see anything else about roles except for one. I
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: saw that Ken Marino auditioned for the role of Steve
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: the Pirate, and for the audition he dressed in a
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: full pirate costume.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: He could have done it. It's a weird It's a
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: weird role for sure, gar weird gear.
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: That was all I had, though, Did you have any trivia, Nate?
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: No. The only we already talked about it that they
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: shot all the pepper and cotton scenes.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: In one day. Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah.
- 1:21:47Speaker 4: No, there was not much that I didn't like. I
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: didn't look much up.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Oh no, you're not supposed to just if you sometimes
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: you just run across him or whatever.
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the only one.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Because I love that.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: I get it. Judgment Day. Will there be a sequel?
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: I can't imagine they're getting.
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna you two can go that route. I'm
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: gonna hold out just a little bit, and not because
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: I want to see a sequel, but I could see
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: one happening just because.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: You know what, maybe they could like pickleball.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: Oh that's a great idea, you know.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: They say it's all ages. I love that pickleball.
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: Maybe I could see see it because I feel like
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: all of them are still connected and it could be
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: one of those things where it's like nah, or most
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: of us aren't doing stuff right now, like.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: We're too old to play dodgeball. We can play this though.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I like that. That's a good that's a good idea.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: It'd probably be more expensive to make it now with
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: all of them.
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, for sure they're all aless actors or
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: at least b plus it, you know.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Yeah, right, but no I don't.
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: I don't, probably not, probably not, but there could be.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: Well, do you guys want to play game?
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Yes, please?
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: I decided to make a quotes game, and let's just
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: call it. Let's just call it deep cuts.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Deep cuts.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: Does that sound like fun?
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: Well, not all of them are deep cuts. We can't
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: do no because it was too confusing, and then people
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: tried to make it more confusing. Anyway, So Nate, how
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: this works. I'm going to say a quote from a film.
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: I did not sign an NDA about this.
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: Oh no, you don't have to the whole world day.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: It's okay.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: We release it to the public, goes out. We want
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: them to know we're recording.
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: Do you know? Work neat? Come on, all right, So
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna I'm gonna say a
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: quote from a film, and I'm gonna want you to
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: answer three different things. I'm gonna want you to give
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: me the name of the film, the actor he said it,
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: and the name of the movie character. So you can
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: get three points for each quote. If you don't get
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: all three correct, the other person can guess what you
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: got wrong and steal for a point or two points
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: you get wrong. There is a theme you can guess
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: at any time for a point. Love it and that's
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: all I got. We ready to go big time. I
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: am Pepper needs new shorts? All right? Number one? This
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: is your quote?
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Wait? Is there a theme?
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: Did you say that?
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: Part?
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: I did say that?
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Okay, sorry, podcast?
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: There there is a theme you can guess at any
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: time for a point, and you don't unlimited guesses. I
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: feel free. Okay, Are we ready? Sorry, Bukes, are we ready?
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I'm ready and I'm sorry.
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: I really wasn't.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: I'm so sorry.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: I know I was writing down name of film. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: for sure. The first quote, stop talking. The first quote is, oh,
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: you can milk just about anything with nipples.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: It's Ben Stiller, it is I don't know what his
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: first name is, but it's Fokker.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: I'll give you half a point.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: I don't what is this think of it? But it's
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: meet the.
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: Waits it is. Yeah, so you got two and a half.
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: What is his first and.
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: Galor? Oh?
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. Well what did they call him though?
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: To that? You should give him a.
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: Point for I have nipples? Can you meg?
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: That would have been a good way.
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: Uh so naked's half I should get because I got
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: both his names.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: You know what?
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: I like that?
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: Yeah? Yes, that's uh you do that? Good thinking.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Cool.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: Let's go to number two. The next quote is Dorothy
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: Mantooth is a Saint Nate, what are you doing? Just
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: say your name? I did that one for.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: You, but I only know it as Shannon.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: He doesn't know he's like Rob lund Quist. Uh it
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: is from Anchorman. It is Vince Vaughn is I don't
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: remember his name? Something Mantooth, Jim Mantooth. I don't know
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: what his name.
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: I'll give you two and a half again. Do you
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: remember his name?
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: I don't, and I just looked it up, like I
- 1:27:00Speaker 4: didn't actually.
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: Look it up. But I'm it's Wes Mantooth.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: It is Wes. That's got. I'm not even gonna look
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: at you. It's West Milton, damn.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: Yeah. So another two and a half for bugs.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Oh and Nate got I have to no, no, no, no,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: I'm just giving you yeah. Yeah. It wasn't me rubbing
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: it in. I just am.
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: Stupid and Nate Nate still didn't. Okay, just make it sure,
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: just to U. Just one the number three? Excuse me,
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: I believe you have my stapler.
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: Bukes, Bukes, this is your work.
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: Yes, office face is correct, Stephen Rue correct, Milton.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: I don't think we ever get his last name.
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: I'll give you Milton for sure. He does have a
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: last name. Apparently it's Adams.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: Oh but I don't know that. No, No for three, No,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: you get three? Yeah?
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Well let's go to number four. We're not
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: hosting an intergalactic kegger down here? Oh Bukes Bukes.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: Men in black?
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: Uh? I was? I always get scared about Tommy Lee
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Jones incorrect. Oh, oh damn it. Duh, I know what
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: the theme is too.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: Now okay, but what uh? You know the character name
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: is he Q. He's not so it is Men in
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: Black Nate And he didn't get the actor or the
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: character name, right.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: Said Will Smith? What? Will Smith?
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: No, it's not that, And I honestly I do not
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: remember Men in Black aside from like a cup.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: Oh if you should watch that, because you know what
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: I'm going to give you.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: I'm going to give you a half a point for
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: Will Smith because he said he quotes that, it's like
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: we're not hosting an internal Yeah, that's a great. I'm
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: going to give you a half a point because Will
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: Smith does actually say that line because he is quoting
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: mugs Rip torn right, rip torn? Yeah, Z's dead Baby's
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: dead baby? And what's the theme?
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: The theme is movies that feature actors from this movie.
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: That's correct? Yeah, got it?
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: So damn it.
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: I really should have got accepted? Did I get it?
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: You didn't, man, I Will should have done an accepted one.
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: I didn't realize that you loved that movie too.
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: I would have definitely one of my go tos.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that one. Not knowing that that would have been
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: an unfair one to put in because Robert I really
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: like it.
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: So yeah, and I can go toe to toe with
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: you on that one.
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: I believe it.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: It's just not everyone can.
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: No, it's definitely a hit. And this because most people
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: don't know it.
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: Well, let's go to number five. Here it is, okay,
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: Oh no, no, no, I insist you take it. You
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: obviously need this more than I do.
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: God, what is that from.
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: I mean I've said that a few this week.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: No, no, no, I insist you take it. You obviously
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: need this more than I do.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: Five, So it's someone being silly.
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: Three. I mean i'd probably say Justin Long, Nate, justin
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: Long is correct? What movie?
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: I can't even think of.
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: What else's interant five?
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: Four?
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: I am totally blanking two on say a movie said
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: so many of his movies girls, it's not the TV
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: show New Girl. Okay, do you have a guest?
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: No, I don't remember what else we said for movies
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: for him earlier. Okay, I don't know.
- 1:31:22Speaker 3: This was his role of Dean in the movie waiting
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: after some redneck guy I think he's called redneck customer
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: leaves change on the table. He's like sir, you forgot
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: your change. He's like, no, no, no, it's a tip. He's like,
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: oh no, no, no, I insist you take it. You
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: obviously need this more than I do.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: That's right, And.
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: Then they lose their minds. They have to give this
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: bad customer like free Sundays stuff like that. Yeah, but
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: that's to get some point for just so long.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sorry, I didn't even write that, Okay.
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: It sounded like him, and I just I've seen Waiting
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: enough where I know the movie, but I haven't seen it.
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: It's in the document twenty years.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been a while for sure.
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: What what do we have after five mukes?
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: I have nine, eight has two and a half. Everyone's
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: in it.
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: You gotta get going, Nate, everybody's in it.
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: I don't feel good about this next one. Some of
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: these are tough, and this one is number six.
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: Feel the dreams.
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: There. We were minding our own business, just doing chores
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: around the house when kids started killing themselves all over
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: my property. Kids started killing them there. We were minding
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: our own business, just doing chores around the house when
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: kids started killing themselves all over my property. Five four good, bad,
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: two one. If you've seen the movie you would be obvious,
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: but this was Tucker and Dale versus Evil, and this
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: was Alan Tudic as Tucker.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: I haven't seen that movie.
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: Deep it's a deep cut, deep cut. Sorry to a
- 1:33:09Speaker 3: deep cut.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: Number seven also a deep cut. Your teacher wants you
- 1:33:17Speaker 3: to go slow, and she's wrong because it's the fastest
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: to get paid and it's the fastest who get laid by.
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: I'm having a tough time. I know this.
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: Your teacher wants you to go slow, and she's wrong
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: because it's the fastest who get paid and it's the
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: fastest to get laid. This isn't five bukes yess.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: It's not spelling bee, is it?
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: It is not?
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: Is that even the name of that movie, the Jason Bateman.
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: Spell that was called bad words, bad words. That's a
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: That was a good guess, though it's not that because
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: he was pretty uh crass. Do you have a guess,
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: Nate or look at me?
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: Don't look at me crash.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: That was incorrect. This was Gary Cole and this was
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: him playing Ricky Bobby's dad, Rebby Talladaggon Knights.
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: I've only ever seen that one, so I don't feel
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: too bad about that one.
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I've seen that a lot, and I should have
- 1:34:21Speaker 4: known that. But also I would just like to give
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: a shout out to Gary Cole because I love when
- 1:34:27Speaker 4: he is in the TV show Chuck.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's great, Chuck.
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: VP, and he's great, He's good.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: I feel like Talladega Knights must have been on the
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: bus affair amount does that? It feels like a bus.
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: Actually, no, one didn't.
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: Really No, it didn't. Okay, great, No, mostly stripped tease.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: I'm playing good. Oh that ever, I think no one's
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: ever even seen that movie.
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: Nod For the most part, it was the most PG.
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: People still ask me. They're like, oh es, oh my god.
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: We would play pop star a lot for people and
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: never stopping, never stopped, never stopping, never stopped, never stopping.
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: And yeah, you played it for some people. There's like
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: kind of like male nudity that we kind of forgot about.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: And oh no, played in front of the people where
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: they were a little weird to that.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: That wasn't.
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: Oh god, we digress. Let's go to number eight. I
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: feel good about this for bugs. I'm sorry, Nate number
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: right back to the future charades. That's some cute full circle.
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: Oh Bugs, that's Jason Bateman in uh Game.
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: Night, Game Night. Do you remember his character's name?
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: Boy, I sure don't.
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: I wouldn't move, Peter, I don't know. Don't you have
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: a guess on a male's name, Nan, let's go.
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: Let's go Mark.
- 1:36:03Speaker 3: You were close. It's Max, Max, You're way closer, you said,
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: I was like, what, So that's another two for bugs?
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's not looking good, Nate. Let's go to
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: number nine. Look me in my eyeball. I treat her
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: like my own flesh and blood.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Oh god, that's so familiar.
- 1:36:30Speaker 3: Look me in my eyebew I treat her like my
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: own flesh and blood.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: Bugs, bugs, So it's it's Hanka's area.
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: It is.
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: I cannot think of what the oh it must be from?
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: Oh god? What is it called?
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: Along? Came Polly? It is? And remember his name? Uh?
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: It's a French name. We oh god? What is its
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: on the thing? Uh?
- 1:37:03Speaker 3: We make scuba, We mix scooba, make like fire in
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: my trousers. As long as you are for scuba, I
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: am for you.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: Look me in my eye. I can't remember his name?
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: Cool? Do you know her French name? Nate Jacques close?
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: It was Claude Claude, Claude, but another two for bugs.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: One that's tough.
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: He's a deep cut too.
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: This is also a deep cut. Number ten Couples retreat.
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: But Jan, you don't have friends, You're just jealous.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: Jan.
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: Bugs.
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: Brady Bunch movie. Yes, Christine Taylor, Yes, and she's obviously
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Jan Brady.
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: She is not Nate. Do you know who she is?
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: Who is she?
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: Marcia Brady? Marcia? Yes, Well we got made another point.
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: All right, Marsha Marsham Marshot.
- 1:38:11Speaker 3: I tried not to do the actors names. I went,
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: I went quotes. Yeah, there were some deep cuts.
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: I actually liked that movie a lot, The Brady Bunch movie.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: I was into it.
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: It was super funny because they were the only ones
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: in their own little beard.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: It was such a fun Brady.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: Bunch thing, and then it's just like normal people reacting.
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: I really liked that take like that. They could have
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: gone a different way with that and it would have
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: been and they probably did. I don't even know. Is
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: that the only Brady Bunch movie they ever made.
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: I don't even know. They did enough. They did a
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: very Brady Bunch sequel as well. But it's funny because
- 1:38:48Speaker 3: Gary Cole is the dad and that, Oh yeah that's right.
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: Wow, he's Mike Brady, Marsha Marsham Mark.
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: Those are funny, man.
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: Yeah, those are good.
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: I'm always said, don't play ball in the house.
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: Yeah, and she they actually did that, So she got
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: the broken nose and like she's like talking to a
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: guy I think his name is Doug when I was
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: looking for for quotes sure, and she's like, oh, Doug,
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: I guess you're not gonna want to go out with
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: me now. And he's like, well, it's not your nose.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: I'm after. So they were just like I'm actually fine.
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: Yeah that's really great. Yeah I should watched those. I
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: really liked those back.
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: In the day. I haven't thought about him, Sam, but
- 1:39:31Speaker 3: I definitely haven't.
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: Say you're making me dig real deep. I don't remember
- 1:39:35Speaker 4: a lot about my high school years because I was
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: too busy playing guitar trying to impress the ladies.
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: I get that.
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't do either of those things, so I
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: remember I didn't.
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: I didn't impress them. I'm trying, you're trying.
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: You didn't try valiant effort.
