- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Hello, and welcome to another episode of Flourishing Femme.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: This is episode 16, and we are going to be talking about how our body sends us messages.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: You know, last week we talked a lot about authenticity and how we can look at ways that we are not authentic, which creates misalignment and then blocks our ability to be able to truly flourish and thrive.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: We talked about how we we don't and we can't flourish by simply just doing more.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: We flourish when the body has opportunities to experience safety and restoration and connection.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: So as we look at these formula of creating a feeling of flourishing in our life and flourishing more in the divine feminine template, which means that we create a magnetism because we are in our divine feminine polarity, and we create magnetism to work better in our relationships with our divine masculine that we are in relationship with, or wanting to create a relationship with, looking for someone in our life to be our companion and that magnetic polarity of the divine masculine.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: So we're going to talk a little bit about what continually pulls us out of alignment and out of our authenticity.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: And we've we talked a little bit about that in the last episode, in episode number 15, but we're going to go into a little bit more detail about how to recognize when we are out of alignment, and that is by really learning to listen to our body and notice how our body is expressing a message to us.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And um because our body keeps the score and feelings buried alive, never die.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: That's the name of a book I I first read when I was my eyes was open, my eyes were open to so much of how I trapped emotion in my body, and so therefore things and organs and systems within my body started to shut down.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: So we're going to talk a little bit about how emotion, um, when it's swallowed, when it's buried, when it's ignored, um, knowing and recognizing that emotion is created by thoughts that we have about ourselves, about our lives, about our environment, thoughts or beliefs.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: And that can be from the conscious or the subconscious.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And so when they're coming, a lot of times from the subconscious, we we get to do some deep reflection and digging to say, wow, what thoughts am I having that are causing this emotion?
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: So the body becomes that place where what hasn't been processed gets held.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: And it gets held in the organs, it gets held in the fascia, and it gets held in our gut.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: And so it's really important to begin to try to notice the messages that our body is giving to us.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: It's not our enemy.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Our body is not our enemy, even though sometimes I know we feel like that, but um it's really not.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: It's it's trying to help us see what is out of alignment.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: And it's it's never our enemy.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: It's just always wanting to communicate with us and say, this is where some imbalances are, this is ways that you are out of alignment.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Because those those misalignments create emotions, which is energy in motion, that causes a disturbance in our body at a cellular level.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: So let's just, I'm just gonna give you a few to think about.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: So let's say our thyroid or Hashimoto's.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: This, when we have issues with our thyroid or have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, what we might want to look at is the ways that we've spent so much time swallowing what we really wanted to say, or what we really wanted to express, or that we really wanted to say no, but we said yes, so we weren't speaking our truth.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Let's look at endometriosis.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: That kind of seems to be a thing in a lot of women.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Um, that has to do with how you have become incredibly good at tolerating what hurts you, or what or tolerating situations or relationships that don't feel safe, and what we as women were taught to endure quietly and just accept that that is what we do as women.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Um where we as women were expected to tolerate, suppress, sacrifice, or even disconnect from our own bodies.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Your own womb actually is holding a story, plus energy that belongs to your maternal line.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: And you know, a lot of times I got I got to look at this pretty heavily when I ended up needing a full hysterectomy, uterus, cervix, and ovaries.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: So what I got to look at is, hmm, how did I handle a lot of things in my life similar to my mother, similar to my mother's mother?
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And it was very in a very interesting journey that I explored for a quite a while, actually, and was very enlightened as to how I handled a lot of situations and how I buried things, and how I just thought that that's what women do.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: You know, we just we just tolerate and suppress and sacrifice and disconnect from our own bodies and just serve, serve, serve, serve our children and our husbands and our community and you know, that kind of stuff, which nothing's wrong with serving our husband and our children and our community, but do we do it with resent do we do it with resentment, uh, with dread, with sometimes even feeling really resentful or uh angry and resistant.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: And we feel like we're in that have to, need to, ought to, should paradigm.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's look at another one.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: PCOS.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: Here's one we really want to be careful and look at.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: You've become incredibly good at pushing through, just keep pushing through, doing, achieving, managing, controlling, surviving.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: And there can be so much strength in you that softness begins to feel unsafe, even.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Receiving feels uncomfortable, rest creates guilt.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: You've learned that life works when you make it work.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: And so it's really it's really a great invitation for you to explore your relationships with feminine energy, the ability to surrender and receive, and that you don't lose your power when you soften.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: That is that is a fallacy.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: In fact, you actually step into magnificently your power when you learn to soften.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Um, but a lot of us in the past believed that that was weakness.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's look at eczema or psoriasis.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: You keep saying, It's fine, even when this part of you is saying no, and there's just a constant irritation or overstimulation or feeling very invaded or exposed.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: And so your skin becomes this very symbolic place to explore where your boundaries have been blurred, perhaps, and your body is asking you to stop tolerating what your soul has been trying to say no to, which that exactly might be it's fine, give me another job, it's fine, give me another project.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: Oh no, it's fine, give me another task to accomplish.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: So, you know, things to just be aware of and look at that formula of the authenticity plus alignment is what creates safety.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's look at gut issues.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: This has been a real big focus for me lately, just because I'm really wanting to clean up my gut and be uh aware of what I have held in my gut as far as trapped emotion and trapped trauma.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: But the the the things that are held there in your gut is fear, uncertainty, conflict, hypervigilance, always trying to predict what's going to happen next.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: And your mind just keeps analyzing because you believe that feels safer than not knowing.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: And your never nervous system never gets the message that the danger is past.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Energetically, the invitation is to notice what you're still trying to mentally digress, control, and prepare yourself for.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Like that, okay, when's the next boot gonna or when's the next shoe gonna drop or boot is gonna drop?
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: And um it's a lot of mental processing, always trying to figure out, oh, uh, well, this could happen and that could happen and this can happen.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: So how am I gonna try to interject and interfere from that thing happening?
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Because in my past, when that certain thing happened, I was devastated, or I was punished, or I was um hurt so deeply.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: And so, you know, this is where I love the model of rapid eye technology that I do.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: I'm a master rapid eye technologist and actually a trainer for the institute.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: And I love this modality because it simulates what you do in your own REM sleep, because that's your own God-given melt mechanism, God-given built-in mechanism to process emotion and trauma.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: And so I have this skill and tool that I can work with people that actually simulates that you're fully awake, but you're in your awake alpha theta state instead of your asleep alpha theta state.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: And we can go in and we can move a ton of energy through the optic nerve, just like you do when you sleep.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And it's just a fantastic process that gets that moves energy so quickly, so fast, and in a way that is not foreign to the body.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: And there's so many safety mechanisms built into this model that just keeps everything feeling safe.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Your ego, your psyche, all everything feels safe because it's like, oh, I know what's happening here.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: I'm processing emotion.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: And um it's it's so acknowledged and recognized as being such a powerful um process to release and remove a lot of that trapped trauma in the body and in the gut, in the fascia, in the organs.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: And then what's really great that you don't really have the um ability to be able to do in your own sleep is we put really good stuff back in.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: So that energy settles into the cells, and then as your cells replicate, they start replicating in a higher frequency.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: It's so slick, so fast, works so great, and it's a modality that literally saved me as a young mother when my body was shutting down, for sure.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: So, another good reason to hop on my website, awakenedacademy.io, and make an appointment for a personal alignment discovery session, and we can see what would work best for you and um where what your next step would be.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: And I would love to get to know you and we could discuss these options and see what step would be next for best and next for you to move forward into what you're wanting to create, and that is that authenticity, and then alignment, and then a feeling of safety.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's look at chronic fatigue.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is you're exhausted from overriding yourself.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Pushing when you wanted to stop, saying West, saying yes when your body screamed no, being strong because everybody depended on you, resting only after everything and everyone else was taken care of first.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Boy, don't we do that as women so much?
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: And then this exhaustion and this fatigue becomes that invitation to examine a life built around constantly overriding your own limits.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Look at that, consider it.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's look at hormone imbalances.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: You're ignoring your body's cyclic nature and rhythm.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: Wow, that was a story of my life.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: That's why I ended up needing a full hysterectomy at such a young age.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Young, meaning my later or my mid-50s, but still that's still putting me into full-on menopause at much younger age than I think my body wanted to be.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: So this is all about push, perform, produce, repeat.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Modern life teaches us to function as though your energy should remain identical and mechanical every single day.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: But we're we're we have cycles that we go through as women.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: And your needs change and your capacity changes and your body changes.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: Energetically, imbalance becomes an invitation to explore where you have disconnected from your own rhythm in order to meet everyone else's expectation, and always have this rushed pace of life.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: I never slowed down.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: It didn't matter where I was in my cycle, I just kept going, pushing, performing, and repeat.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: So um I didn't know all of this back when I mean I I knew a lot about stored trauma in the body because I've been doing, you know, rapid eye for 28 years now, but I didn't recognize that it was not only stored trauma, which I had worked a lot on that stored trauma in those organs, but I still did not change my daily habits of push, perform, produce, repeat, keep going, keep pushing through.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: And so there was there was a disconnect in my in my complete understanding at that time.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, so those are just a few to consider and look at, and I have lots of material, lots of content, lots of books that can help direct us if there's a certain part of your body that is just screaming at you, we can look at what the the messages it are that your body's working to give to you, and perhaps what emotions are stored, and what kind of trauma is held in that part of the body.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: And maybe it's not even all your own trauma.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Maybe there's some generational trauma that was, you know, handed down through the DNA.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: We can look at all of that, and that's so what's so exciting about the work that I do is I love helping women create a space where there can be a lot of self-reflection, a lot of discovery, a lot of awareness about what their what messages their body is giving them, what is happening in their life, their environmental situation, their relationship situations, all of that.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: It's messages.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: It's messages that we just don't know how to interpret or look at.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: So here's the invitation.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: Here's today's invitation for this podcast.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Notice what's going on in your body.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Where are you experiencing pain?
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Where are you experiencing imbalances?
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: Would you be open to exploring what those messages are?
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you only have messages once a month during your period.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Maybe you have messages in your body um on the weekends.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Believe it or not, that is a real thing.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: I I experienced it.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe your body only gives you messages at night.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: Like pain that you have between twelve o'clock at night and six o'clock in the morning.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's your body constantly waking up at two to three o'clock a.m.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: That's all messaging.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: So take note, journal about it, notice what's going on in your body, notice where you're experiencing pain or discomfort, noticing where you're experiencing um a very irregular period or maybe irregular hormonal imbalances before your period or after your period.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it can just be um, you know, having a lot of different cranky emotions before your period.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: That's a message.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: That is an imbalance.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we as women have just accepted, oh yeah, I have PMS.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: Well, that means there's an imbalance.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: So, anyway, thank you for joining me today, and I hope I've given you some food for thought.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: And I just thank you for joining me, and I would ask that you submit uh to this podcast so you'll always get messages as far as when I have um created a new podcast for you to enjoy and learn from, or you know, some feedback would be great as well.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: And for sure, push the like button if this is something that has been really interesting to you.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Again, thank you for joining me, and I just hope you have a really blessed day.
