- 0:00SPEAKER_02: So if you hadn't heard about it, TRL, yes, with Carson Daly is actually putting together kind of a reunion thing.
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: It's gonna end up somewhere on Roku in 2027.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: I I'm sure by the time it comes around, uh because there is no more MTV.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: You guys have to remember, even though we had VMAs two weeks ago, that was sort of hypocritical.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: There is no MTV left.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, where where does it lie then?
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: That doesn't matter.
- 0:23SPEAKER_02: It's gonna have to go in Roku somewhere, which I don't mind.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: Roku's actually Roku's getting content up pretty good right now.
- 0:29SPEAKER_02: Remember, they got bought by Fox, so I think they're getting an influx of not political things.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: I'm not talking just Fox News like the whole company got involved with buying them.
- 0:40SPEAKER_02: So we'll see what happens.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so because like now, if you want to see a music video, you just go on YouTube and you get the music video.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: But back back in the day, we'd come home from school and it wasn't that on-demand TV that we have now, it was you were watching whatever was right there right then.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: TRL is was a huge one.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: We used to oh I was a big big Jerry Springer fan.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: We would watch that right after school.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Um, what else?
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, you said you watched cartoons.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, I was, but mine were the action cartoons.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: It was the Transformers, G.I.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: Joe stuff.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: You know, and it held for a while.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: I mean, until I finally was like, oh, I got other things to do after school than watch TV.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: I do love this one.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: After school, we would watch DuckTales, then bonkers, then Goof Troop.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: I completely forgot about Goof Troop.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: And I love, love that you mentioned that one.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: I just thought of another one.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: What?
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: I'm not this generation either.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: But all the slime shows that were on Nickelodeon.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: They were always on in the afternoon.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, heck yeah.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: That was like the the a little bit when I was a little bit younger, and then TRL kind of became my like, I'm a teenager now.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: This is what I'm watching.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Or I'm flipping between that and Jerry.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: I'm a little surprised.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: I know, right?
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: I'm a little surprised at this one.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Somebody said Melrose Place, but I didn't realize that something so spicy was on right after school.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: Uh, it must have been in some rerun form because Melrose used to be on Fox at night at like nine o'clock, but it does give me the opportunity to play this.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: Admittedly, it's a little edgy, but here you go.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: This week on Melrose Place.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: You slept with my husband, you bitch.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Stole my clients, you bitch.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: You tried to kill me, you bitch.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: You're the bitch, you bitch.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Bitch, bitch, bitch, you bitch.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: That was Melrose Place.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Melrose Place.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: Anytime, any day, it doesn't matter.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: That's the funny thing.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: We were watching, like, even with the Jerry stuff, it'd be like, oh, you slept with my sister.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: It was a lot of really out there kind of stuff.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: And we're concerned about Roblox?
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, why are we concerned about that?
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying in general.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: I'm like, what are we doing?
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Yes, this was, you know how to do it.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: I mean, how many times did Maury say you're not the father?
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, my god, this is I mean, Oh, that was another one.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: I loved Maury, and I also loved Montel.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Basically Montel.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, my ex-wife was a Montel guy.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: And then sorry, and then it became all of the judge shows.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: It's like, okay, Maury and Jerry are over.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: So I still need some drama.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: So we got Judy, Doug, Lou, Frank, Martha.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: We got all of them.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: What was the what was the black guy?
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: I loved him.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Brown.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Um Judge Brown, that's what it was.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Joe Brown.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Was it Joe Brown?
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: I think it was Judge Joe Brown.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: So it was Judy and then Joe.
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: And does anybody remember anybody remember just the classical Judge show, the the classic people's court with Wappner?
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: It was so tame.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: So and then from that, we spawned literally.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: You you mixed Jerry Springer with Judge shows.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: So here I am.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: And they're still on.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Just m mowing down on some chicken tendies.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Finding out who's gonna actually have to pay the rent this week.
- 3:49unknown: Right.
