Tragedy struck in Perry County, Ohio, when 83-year-old Thomas Shafer died in a deadly two-vehicle crash at the intersection of OH-204 and OH-668. The van driver, 30-year-old Brandon Salyers, allegedly failed to yield, leading to a collision that sent the van off-road and into a ditch and building. Shafer’s truck struck a sign before flipping. Salyers suffered serious injuries, while a juvenile passenger in Shafer’s truck was treated for minor injuries.
