- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is Mark Simon Show on sevent ten.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Woo Hey, it's Monday. We got a lot to get
- 0:12Speaker 2: to the liberation of Iran. We'll go over that. It's
- 0:15Speaker 2: day three. We'll get to we'll get their old friend
- 0:17Speaker 2: Neil Sedaka, we'll get to crazy Mom Donnie, and we've
- 0:21Speaker 2: got Epstein and a whole lot more to talk about. Hey,
- 0:25Speaker 2: you know, the good news is it's gonna be cold today.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's gonna be uh, let's get the highest. It's gonna
- 0:30Speaker 2: be a cold, cold day. But this is it. This
- 0:34Speaker 2: is the last cold day until next year. This is
- 0:38Speaker 2: the very final cold day. Today it's gonna go up
- 0:42Speaker 2: to thirty two, but then tomorrow it heads into the
- 0:45Speaker 2: forties and then into the fifties and next week in
- 0:48Speaker 2: the sixties. One day it'll even hit seventy next week.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So this is the final cold day. This coming weekend,
- 0:57Speaker 2: we go on daylight saving time eighteen days until spring.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Eighteen days until spring. You did it. You got through
- 1:05Speaker 2: the winter. You don't have much more to go. Just
- 1:08Speaker 2: get through today, and it's going to be warm for
- 1:10Speaker 2: the rest of the rest of the whole until the fall,
- 1:15Speaker 2: until the winter. So we're in day three, of the
- 1:19Speaker 2: action against Iran. Let's call it the liberation of Iran.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Democrats don't know what the hell to do. They're running
- 1:25Speaker 2: around like crazy, trying to find the attack Kolmane. Clearly
- 1:30Speaker 2: the Ia tolda clearly the most evil man on earth,
- 1:33Speaker 2: the closest thing to Hitler in the world today, a brutal,
- 1:38Speaker 2: brutal dictator killing his own people at the rate of
- 1:41Speaker 2: thirty thousand a month, recently savagely killing them, shooting protesters
- 1:46Speaker 2: in the street, the ones that survived and got into
- 1:48Speaker 2: the hospital. This is absolutely true. In the last few weeks,
- 1:52Speaker 2: the Komeni forces have been going into hospitals and shooting
- 1:55Speaker 2: them in the head, right in their bed. This is Komene.
- 1:58Speaker 2: He's the Hitler of today, obviously trying to wipe out
- 2:02Speaker 2: Israel and all the Jews. It's a horrible, horrible, horrible situation.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Something had to be done. They tried at the negotiating table.
- 2:11Speaker 2: They gave it a good shot. It was clear, very
- 2:15Speaker 2: clear that he was not going to negotiate, and he
- 2:17Speaker 2: was never going to stop trying to get a nuclear weapon.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So there was no choice. Time to do something. Now
- 2:24Speaker 2: they had spent weeks and weeks and weeks and months
- 2:27Speaker 2: planning this attack. They also have spent the last couple
- 2:31Speaker 2: of months watching the Iya had told that every day,
- 2:34Speaker 2: learning his habits, his patterns, where he went, what he did,
- 2:38Speaker 2: and they were going to go. The plan was not
- 2:40Speaker 2: to go now. Originally the plan was a few days earlier,
- 2:44Speaker 2: and then the plan was for a few days later.
- 2:46Speaker 2: But something happened on Saturday. They saw and we have
- 2:50Speaker 2: incredible intelligence in Iran, we in Israel, and a lot
- 2:54Speaker 2: of it is Israel, but we saw on Saturday something developing.
- 2:59Speaker 2: They were going to hold a meeting with the top
- 3:01Speaker 2: forty leaders and the Iatola himself. These forty one people
- 3:05Speaker 2: were going to meet in a building. They knew which building.
- 3:08Speaker 2: They were going to do it on Saturday morning, which
- 3:11Speaker 2: would be the middle of the night our time. But
- 3:14Speaker 2: the reason they felt it was okay to all show
- 3:17Speaker 2: up for this meeting in broad daylight, Iran miscalculated, well,
- 3:21Speaker 2: actually I don't know if they miscalculated. They realized a
- 3:24Speaker 2: few things. The US always attacks in the middle of
- 3:27Speaker 2: the night, always in total darkness, because we are the
- 3:30Speaker 2: best in the world with night vision equipment and nobody
- 3:33Speaker 2: else is, so we have an advantage in the dark.
- 3:36Speaker 2: We always attack in the middle of the night, so
- 3:38Speaker 2: the Iotola figured it was safe we wouldn't attack in
- 3:41Speaker 2: broad daylight. He also figured we wouldn't attack on Ramadan.
- 3:46Speaker 2: He also figured we Israel's not going to attack during
- 3:49Speaker 2: the Shabbat on Saturday, so that's why he felt it
- 3:53Speaker 2: was safe to have that meeting and for him to
- 3:55Speaker 2: show up at it. So we saw this happening, and
- 3:58Speaker 2: we'd been ready to go, and when we saw this,
- 4:01Speaker 2: we decided it was the right time take them out.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And that's when they hit that building, killed the Ayatola
- 4:07Speaker 2: and forty of the top leaders, just wiped them out.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So it was a great, great success. The beginning operation,
- 4:16Speaker 2: the news hit the airwaves that we were then bombing Iran,
- 4:20Speaker 2: attacking Iran, very tough, tough moment for Democrats. It was
- 4:26Speaker 2: Saturday morning. They hear the news. They all had to
- 4:29Speaker 2: run out and buy Iranian flags. They didn't know where
- 4:31Speaker 2: to get them. They went online trying to order Iranian flags.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It's tough for them. As the bombing continued throughout the
- 4:40Speaker 2: day and night. Then they realized on Sunday, they're probably
- 4:41Speaker 2: gonna have to tear up those Trump Taco signs, remember those.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Trump always chickens out. So then the Sunday shows come along,
- 4:49Speaker 2: and what do you do. They can't praise Donald Trump
- 4:52Speaker 2: no matter what he does. If he killed Hitler, they'd
- 4:54Speaker 2: be attacking him. Well, he didn't get congressional approval. He
- 4:57Speaker 2: didn't follow the War Powers Act. First of all, you
- 4:59Speaker 2: don't need congressional approval for the first sixty days. And
- 5:03Speaker 2: it's not likely this thing will even make it to
- 5:05Speaker 2: sixty days. But you don't need congressional approval for the
- 5:08Speaker 2: first sixty days. And if you read that War Powers Act,
- 5:11Speaker 2: if there are no boots on the ground, and there aren't,
- 5:14Speaker 2: you don't need to worry about congressional approval. President Trump
- 5:18Speaker 2: made himself available to reporters in in a way that
- 5:22Speaker 2: they even surprised the reporters. Millions of people have his
- 5:25Speaker 2: cell number, his private cell number, a lot of reporters.
- 5:27Speaker 2: He gives it to all of them, and some of
- 5:30Speaker 2: them started calling even Saturday morning, just as the news broke.
- 5:34Speaker 2: John Levine, the great reporter, called Saturday. It was like
- 5:37Speaker 2: eight in the morning. The President answered on one ring.
- 5:40Speaker 2: He usually does, by the way, he'll answer on one ring.
- 5:44Speaker 2: There are sometimes two rings. If he's really tired about
- 5:47Speaker 2: not all he does it, but he'll answer on one ring.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But Levine got him right on the phone, talked him
- 5:53Speaker 2: for four minutes. There are ten other reporters who got
- 5:56Speaker 2: the president on the phone. He was happy to talk
- 5:58Speaker 2: to them. Democrats had to figure out how to criticize this.
- 6:04Speaker 2: They had to go on these Sunday shows. How do
- 6:05Speaker 2: you criticize President Trump? And he was on the airwaves.
- 6:09Speaker 2: He was talking, he may address the nation.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I once again urged the Revolutionary Guards, the Iranian military
- 6:16Speaker 3: police to lay down your arms and receive full immunity
- 6:20Speaker 3: or face certain death.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It will be certain death won't be pretty.
- 6:25Speaker 3: The entire military command is gone as well, and many
- 6:30Speaker 3: of them want to surrender into saving their lives. They
- 6:34Speaker 3: want immunity.
- 6:36Speaker 1: They're calling by the thousands.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So first attack from the Democrats was he hasn't exclaimed
- 6:42Speaker 2: that to the nation. Why isn't he holding a press conference?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Why isn't he Well, he did address the nation at
- 6:47Speaker 2: great length. Those are just a couple of clips I
- 6:49Speaker 2: got play the whole thing that goes on for a
- 6:51Speaker 2: long time. He did address the nation. He talked to
- 6:54Speaker 2: eleven reporters, answered all their questions, including a Kristen Welker
- 6:58Speaker 2: of meet. The even talked to her Hexath and General
- 7:03Speaker 2: kin Raising Cain did a briefing this morning, went on
- 7:07Speaker 2: at great length. They took questions for a long time,
- 7:10Speaker 2: so that attack doesn't work. The next attack they tried
- 7:14Speaker 2: was by the way he was at mar A Lago.
- 7:17Speaker 2: There was a fundraiser scheduled for Saturday night and he
- 7:19Speaker 2: had planned to go to mar A Lago, and they
- 7:22Speaker 2: decided he should go to mar A Lago because if
- 7:24Speaker 2: he didn't or if they canceled the fundraiser, it might
- 7:28Speaker 2: raise suspicion in Iran. They might think there's an attack coming.
- 7:31Speaker 2: So to keep the illusion up, the fundraiser was on.
- 7:34Speaker 2: He went to Florida, which made the Iya Tola even
- 7:37Speaker 2: more confident in going to that meeting in broad daylight.
- 7:41Speaker 2: So they did all of this Saturday morning. The bombing
- 7:44Speaker 2: continued throughout Saturday and Saturday night. The president in a tuxedo,
- 7:48Speaker 2: went to the fundraiser and then had dinner at mar
- 7:51Speaker 2: A Lago. So this was the other democratic attack. Look
- 7:53Speaker 2: at that in the middle of this bombing, he's having
- 7:56Speaker 2: dinner with millionaires at mar A Lago. How dare he? Well,
- 8:01Speaker 2: if you check their record, that's usually what happens. In fact,
- 8:05Speaker 2: the biggest military operation of Obama's presidency was killing Bin Laden.
- 8:10Speaker 2: That was a very, very, very dangerous operation. And while
- 8:14Speaker 2: that was going on, Obama was laughing and joking at
- 8:17Speaker 2: the White House correspondence dinner, which you're supposed to do.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Go to the dinner. That makes the enemy think you're
- 8:24Speaker 2: not up to anything, the business as usual. So that
- 8:27Speaker 2: attack fizzled out. What was the other attack? Well, hey,
- 8:31Speaker 2: the other thing is you know they've been attacking Pete
- 8:33Speaker 2: Hexath ever since he got in there as totally incompetent,
- 8:36Speaker 2: not qualified. Even Mark Kelly, that awful senator over the weekend,
- 8:41Speaker 2: still saying Hexath is the most unqualified Secretary of Defense,
- 8:45Speaker 2: least qualified secretary Defense. Well, first, that's not true. Hexath
- 8:49Speaker 2: has a lot of military experience. And half the people
- 8:52Speaker 2: we made secretary Defense had zero military expense. There were
- 8:56Speaker 2: a congressman, one was an academic. So he's got more
- 9:01Speaker 2: military experience than half of the secretaries of Defense. And
- 9:05Speaker 2: as much as you've attacked him, you got to admit
- 9:07Speaker 2: he's now run about six of the most complex, sophisticated
- 9:11Speaker 2: military operations flawlessly taken out the nuclear reactors, capturing Maduro,
- 9:18Speaker 2: killing the Ayatola. Now we did lose some soldiers. We
- 9:21Speaker 2: lost three. As we started bombing Iran, they started firing
- 9:26Speaker 2: on neighboring countries. One bomb hit Kuwait, hit one of
- 9:30Speaker 2: our military bases, and three US soldiers died there. Also,
- 9:35Speaker 2: we just found out yesterday Kuwait accidentally shot down three
- 9:40Speaker 2: of our planes. They thought they were Iranian, so it
- 9:43Speaker 2: was friendly fire. Kuwait shot down three of our planes.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But the good news, all six pilots ejected safely. So
- 9:52Speaker 2: now I'm trying to think of the other attacks. They
- 9:54Speaker 2: just couldn't find the attacks, and then they went back
- 9:56Speaker 2: to he didn't get congressional approval. You don't need congressional approval,
- 10:00Speaker 2: and the last eighteen wars and nobody's gotten any congressional approval.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Then the other attack. I was watching this all day Sunday,
- 10:08Speaker 2: especially the Sunday Shoes. They tried this new attack. He
- 10:11Speaker 2: ran on the promise of no regime change. The central
- 10:16Speaker 2: theme of his campaign was no regime change. We all
- 10:21Speaker 2: watched that campaign. I don't remember that ever coming up.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Do you remember that as even being mentioned. I don't
- 10:26Speaker 2: the central theme. I think the central theme was the border,
- 10:30Speaker 2: illegal immigration. I think the central theme was taxes, the economy.
- 10:34Speaker 2: May have mentioned regime change somewhere in the campaign, but
- 10:37Speaker 2: it was not a theme of the campaign. He did
- 10:41Speaker 2: say in the campaign company He did promise a few times,
- 10:43Speaker 2: no more endless wars. And that's what this is. No
- 10:46Speaker 2: more endless wars, no boots on the ground. There's not
- 10:49Speaker 2: going to be any endless tried you know, nation building,
- 10:55Speaker 2: trying to occupy the nation. There'll be none of that here.
- 10:58Speaker 2: So it was a tough tough time for Democrats. They
- 11:02Speaker 2: didn't know what to do. They got to attack him
- 11:05Speaker 2: left and right, no matter what he does, no matter what. Now, Mom,
- 11:08Speaker 2: Donnie is the mayor of New York. His job is
- 11:12Speaker 2: to pick up the snow, run the police department. But
- 11:16Speaker 2: being a crazy left winger, he's got to shoot his
- 11:19Speaker 2: mouth off.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Today's military strikes by the United States and Israel mark
- 11:24Speaker 4: a catastrophic escalation in an illegal, active war of aggression,
- 11:30Speaker 4: bombing cities, killing civilians, opening up a new theater of war.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Americans do not want this.
- 11:38Speaker 2: First of all, he has no qualifications to speak about this,
- 11:43Speaker 2: has absolutely no knowledge of what he's talking about is
- 11:45Speaker 2: not in the illegal war, and Americans are all upset. Well,
- 11:50Speaker 2: I hate to break it to you, they're all in
- 11:52Speaker 2: the streets celebrating. That was the problem with CNN. Every
- 11:55Speaker 2: time they went out to see some Iranian protesters or
- 11:57Speaker 2: what they thought were protesters, turned out it was people celebrating.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Iranians all over the world are celebrating. They're so grateful
- 12:06Speaker 2: to the President for getting rid of the evil, evil
- 12:10Speaker 2: barbarian liberating Iran. So CNN goes out and there's a
- 12:13Speaker 2: bunch of Iranians gather, and they thought they would get
- 12:15Speaker 2: them to attack the president, but no, they were celebrating.
- 12:17Speaker 5: The celebration is striking. We got here just moments after
- 12:23Speaker 5: initial reports, initial rumors of the death of Iola kmm
- 12:26Speaker 5: and A had just started to trickle from Iran to
- 12:30Speaker 5: this diaspora community, and people were jumping in excitement, hugging
- 12:35Speaker 5: each other, crying, saying that basically they've been waiting forty
- 12:39Speaker 5: seven years for this very.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Day, their country has been limited liberated. They're thrilled.
- 12:46Speaker 6: Thank you, Donald Trump.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Now this is a CBS. They've got somebody on hoping
- 12:49Speaker 2: they'll bad mouth Trump, but no.
- 12:51Speaker 6: Thank you, Donald Trump, Thank you Benjamin Netya who, thank
- 12:54Speaker 6: you America. It's not death to America after they killed
- 12:57Speaker 6: the leader the Americans in the Israelis did it. It's
- 13:00Speaker 6: not death to Israel and death to America. It's thank you.
- 13:03Speaker 6: It's a new day dawning, but very early days, very
- 13:08Speaker 6: very early days. So we'll have to see what comes.
- 13:10Speaker 6: But it's the Iranian people that have been telling me
- 13:13Speaker 6: over and over and over again, we want this.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah. So it is one sane democrat out there. John Fetterman.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I never thought i'd say this. Remember when he was running,
- 13:24Speaker 2: he was a crazy lunatic in the shorts and the hoodie.
- 13:27Speaker 2: But boy, he's changed.
- 13:29Speaker 3: You know.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Remember the State of the Union speech. As the President
- 13:32Speaker 2: comes down the aisle and sees everybody, all of the
- 13:34Speaker 2: Democrats refuse to look at him, touch him, shake hands.
- 13:37Speaker 2: They the only one, the only Democrat that shook hands
- 13:40Speaker 2: with him was Fetterman, and he got nothing but flack
- 13:43Speaker 2: for it.
- 13:44Speaker 7: And if someone's angry that I shook the President's hand
- 13:47Speaker 7: as he walked in, that's I think that's on them.
- 13:52Speaker 7: And I think some of the people that were angry
- 13:55Speaker 7: that I did that, they didn't really have a problem
- 13:57Speaker 7: when Mandamn he visited with the White House too, So
- 14:02Speaker 7: like if we refuse to talk to the other side,
- 14:05Speaker 7: I mean, that's the only one that really loses, that's America.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, he might be following the Bill Clinton model.
- 14:11Speaker 2: You know, back ninety nine Bill, No, No, No, ninety two one.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Bill Clinton saw that the party, after all these defeats
- 14:23Speaker 2: from you know, they lost, losing a Rag and a Bush,
- 14:25Speaker 2: Democrats were really on the outs, so they went far
- 14:28Speaker 2: to the left. They were left wing wacko kooks. Bill
- 14:32Speaker 2: Clinton decided to be the common sense moderate and lead
- 14:36Speaker 2: the party back to the middle, and that's how he
- 14:37Speaker 2: got the nomination. Fetterman might be thinking that right now,
- 14:41Speaker 2: with all the left wing crazies in the Democratic Party,
- 14:45Speaker 2: he'll be the moderate. He'll be the common sense Democrat
- 14:48Speaker 2: and lead them back to the center and back to victory.
- 14:52Speaker 2: So Fetterman was the only Democrat not going after the
- 14:55Speaker 2: president for Iran.
- 14:56Speaker 1: That's bizarre.
- 14:58Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:59Speaker 7: I'd like to remind my i colleague over in the
- 15:01Speaker 7: House that I ran massacre at thirty thousand of their
- 15:04Speaker 7: own people. Right now, this war is not about the
- 15:07Speaker 7: Iranian people. It's about this poisonous regime. And that's why
- 15:11Speaker 7: I'm proud to stand with our military. I'm proud to
- 15:14Speaker 7: stand with Israel too. I might be a democrat, but
- 15:17Speaker 7: in this specific case, the President is absolutely correct.
- 15:21Speaker 2: It's a courageous thing to say if you're a democrat.
- 15:24Speaker 2: So anyway, we'll get back to this. We'll take some calls.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Next coming up, we'll get to our old buddy, Neil
- 15:30Speaker 2: saidaka the nicest guy in the world and the most
- 15:32Speaker 2: talented guy. Will get to him. Coming up. Hey, we're

- 17:30Speaker 8: Frankie Avalon Paul Anka. What great music. Now there was talent.
- 17:36Speaker 8: And I just want mentioned real quick. My sister was
- 17:40Speaker 8: on American Bandstand with Dick Clark and she met Neil
- 17:44Speaker 8: Sedaka and he actually asked her out, and my stupid
- 17:48Speaker 8: sister said no, Yeah, so there was my per What
- 17:52Speaker 8: a dope.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so there was my inn.
- 17:54Speaker 8: You know, I could have been you know, I have
- 17:56Speaker 8: a decent voice, I can say.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I don't think so that was my inn.
- 18:00Speaker 8: I could have been somebody. But now just another bum
- 18:03Speaker 8: walking around of Polucaville.
- 18:06Speaker 2: He's quoting from on the waterfront. But yeah, I mean
- 18:10Speaker 2: I hate well, actually, let me think now. Neil Sidaka,

- 18:16Speaker 2: whose family owned the Big hotel in the Catskills where
- 18:19Speaker 2: a very young Neil Sidaka worked and met her there.
- 18:23Speaker 2: So I think he might have wanted to go out
- 18:25Speaker 2: with your sister, but I think he was already on
- 18:28Speaker 2: the way to marrying Liba Sidaca even back then. Let's
- 18:32Speaker 2: go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing. Good morning,
- 18:36Speaker 2: Mark that's Mike.
- 18:38Speaker 9: I wanted to mention Neil Sidaka, but just one thing
- 18:40Speaker 9: before that, one way to demo the Republicans can modify
- 18:44Speaker 9: the Democrats to just say that Komane was in the
- 18:47Speaker 9: Epstein files.
- 18:49Speaker 10: He could have been.
- 18:51Speaker 9: But yeah, you know the other thing about Sadaka other
- 18:55Speaker 9: than is obviously I'm not telling how far bia for
- 18:58Speaker 9: me to tell you, but well associate for others, you know,
- 19:01Speaker 9: I mean being a member of the brill building and
- 19:04Speaker 9: that that whole crowd over there is quite remarkable.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, he wrote, he wrote the Love Will Keep Us Together,
- 19:11Speaker 2: a huge hit for the Captain and to Neo. What
- 19:14Speaker 2: else I'm trying? What else did he write?
- 19:15Speaker 9: He wrote for Connie Francis.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, of course, I'm sorry. Now do you know
- 19:19Speaker 2: that the biggest song one of his songs, Well, that's
- 19:23Speaker 2: a long story. Sinatra started to sing The Hungry Years
- 19:26Speaker 2: in concert and it was a it was a very touching,
- 19:30Speaker 2: very serious ballad from Neil Sidaka about he and his
- 19:34Speaker 2: wife when they struggled when they were poor, the Hungry Years,
- 19:37Speaker 2: and it was all about how he misses the Hungry Years.
- 19:39Speaker 2: And Sinatra started to sing it in concert and then
- 19:42Speaker 2: dropped it after a few weeks and Neil Sidaka asked
- 19:46Speaker 2: me once, could you ask Sinatra why he dropped us?
- 19:48Speaker 2: And I asked him, and that's a beautiful song. It's
- 19:54Speaker 2: beautifully written. He said, I didn't understand the song. I
- 19:58Speaker 2: didn't get it. He said, you missed the hungry Yers.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I miss when we were poor, he missed when we
- 20:03Speaker 2: lived in this little apartment. Moved back there.
- 20:06Speaker 7: You just go back.
- 20:07Speaker 9: It's so Sinatra, it's funny.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, thanks for calling. There was another song.
- 20:14Speaker 2: It was a huge hit Barbara streisand People nineteen sixty four.
- 20:17Speaker 2: It was the biggest hit in the world, People who
- 20:19Speaker 2: Need People are the luckiest people in the world. And
- 20:23Speaker 2: Sinatra had always sing the current and we would never
- 20:25Speaker 2: sing it, and they asked him why. He said, I
- 20:27Speaker 2: don't understand the song. People who need people are the
- 20:30Speaker 2: luckiest people. What the hell does it mean? And he
- 20:33Speaker 2: was right, Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach.
- 20:36Speaker 9: Rich.
- 20:37Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 20:38Speaker 10: Hey?
- 20:38Speaker 8: Thanks Mark, you know, Neil Saidakh was also good friends
- 20:41Speaker 8: with Arthur Spooner on The King of Queens towards the Yeah, Jerry,
- 20:45Speaker 8: that's series one, Jerry.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Still, Yeah, we'll talk about Neil saidak, and the next
- 20:49Speaker 2: hour we'll get him. He was a real New York guy.
- 20:50Speaker 2: He lived right over there, fifty eighth in Park. Let's
- 20:53Speaker 2: go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 20:56Speaker 10: Good morning, Mark, I'm okay, Mark. Thanks for talking about
- 21:01Speaker 10: all the people in the United States who were celebrating
- 21:06Speaker 10: the offering of the Komany, Marked, that's nothing compared to
- 21:12Speaker 10: what they were doing in Europe. In Europe they were
- 21:16Speaker 10: processions celebrating Commaney getting whack. That in Paris looked like
- 21:23Speaker 10: they were blocks and blocks and blocks long, carrying the
- 21:27Speaker 10: old Iranian flag, not the new Iranian flag, the murderer's flag.
- 21:33Speaker 10: Also in Italy, in London and in Greece. And these
- 21:38Speaker 10: people were speaking. None of them had towels on their head,
- 21:41Speaker 10: like the whack jobs, the green haired monsters with the
- 21:45Speaker 10: nose rigs who were protesting in Times Square and Mark,
- 21:50Speaker 10: these people they copied George Sorows. They immediately had these
- 21:55Speaker 10: massive placards made up with the picture of Donald Trump
- 22:01Speaker 10: and pe Levy's son that they want to go start
- 22:04Speaker 10: the interim government. And their new slogan is right from
- 22:08Speaker 10: Donald Trump, make Iran great again, Mega and It shows
- 22:14Speaker 10: a profile of Donald Trump looking forward and at his
- 22:17Speaker 10: side pe Levy's son and on the need it says,
- 22:21Speaker 10: Mega and I'm telling you marked the celebrations in Italy
- 22:26Speaker 10: and Greece and Paris were massive.
- 22:29Speaker 2: All right, well, Vincent, that's great to know. Excellent call,
- 22:32Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Yeah, we'll get to a Pavlovi. It's
- 22:35Speaker 2: the son of the Javaran who's been leading, you know,
- 22:39Speaker 2: the way. He wants to go back and run the country.
- 22:41Speaker 2: From what I hear, they don't want him to. They
- 22:43Speaker 2: love him, but he hasn't been in the country in
- 22:45Speaker 2: forty seven years. You need somebody who knows what's going
- 22:48Speaker 2: on over there. Hey, when we come back to the
- 22:50Speaker 2: brilliant columnist Liz Peak, we'll be with us next and
- 22:53Speaker 2: we'll talk to her about all of this coming up.
- 22:55Speaker 2: But first on seven to ten w R.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Now mark someone on seven ten R.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Well, we're looking for Liz Peak. Hey. By the way,
- 23:08Speaker 2: a lot of people have asked about Michael Goodwin. You know,
- 23:10Speaker 2: he's been under the weather for a while, but I
- 23:11Speaker 2: spoke to him late last week. He's feeling much better
- 23:15Speaker 2: and should be back with us on the show probably
- 23:17Speaker 2: next week. Well, we'll hope next week he'll let us
- 23:20Speaker 2: know when he's ready to come back. He's taking some
- 23:21Speaker 2: time off to but we'll have Michael Goodwin back on
- 23:24Speaker 2: the show soon. So that's been tough on Democrats. You know,
- 23:31Speaker 2: first they Maduro, they all had to go out and
- 23:33Speaker 2: buy Venezuela flags. They already had their Ukrainian flags. This
- 23:39Speaker 2: is it's just tough on them. Now they got to
- 23:41Speaker 2: all run around buying Iranian flags, and it's not easy
- 23:45Speaker 2: on them. And everybody is stunned at some of the
- 23:48Speaker 2: Democrats in their reaction. Adam Schiff on the Sunday Shows,
- 23:52Speaker 2: when asked should we have taken out Kolmani said, no,
- 23:59Speaker 2: very harsh reaction. But anyway, we'll get back to that. Well,
- 24:02Speaker 2: we got Liz Peak, oh right, the brilliant columnst lis Peak.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Of course, you see her all over television and you
- 24:08Speaker 2: should check out her site, your website lizpeak dot com
- 24:12Speaker 2: if you want great news and analysis and sign up
- 24:16Speaker 2: there because you'll get the daily briefing. It's really good stuff.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Go to lizpeak dot com, lizpeak dot com, Lizpeak. How
- 24:23Speaker 2: you doing.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I'm terrific. Thanks for having me on.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Hey, great to have you. You know, if you watch all
- 24:29Speaker 2: the foreign television Europe everywhere, there just celebrating the liberation
- 24:34Speaker 2: of Iran, the death of Colmany. But if you put
- 24:37Speaker 2: on American television, you get the opposite of what is
- 24:40Speaker 2: going on here.
- 24:42Speaker 11: You know, I've been thinking about this, Mark, and I
- 24:45Speaker 11: think party partly, the wing of the Democratic Party that
- 24:50Speaker 11: has exposed exposed itself as being somewhat anti Semitic, is
- 24:55Speaker 11: sort of taking it one step further. The fact that
- 24:58Speaker 11: the United States partnered with Israel is viewed as an
- 25:02Speaker 11: offensive thing that we've done, and the fact that we
- 25:05Speaker 11: attacked a Muslim nation, you know, just sort of doubles
- 25:09Speaker 11: down on that. I guess it's hard to figure. I mean,
- 25:13Speaker 11: I think, look, Trump's arrangement syndrome is alive and well
- 25:19Speaker 11: and it isn't going anywhere. And the fact that this
- 25:22Speaker 11: president did this, of course makes it almost immediately a
- 25:26Speaker 11: knee jerk negative reaction from Democrats. But you also see
- 25:31Speaker 11: that to some degree on the far right as well,
- 25:34Speaker 11: with Candice Owens and Tucker Carlson and these people condemning
- 25:38Speaker 11: this action in part because again of our ties to Israel.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I mean, it's really it's pretty horrifying.
- 25:46Speaker 11: And I love these Democrats who are saying it's an
- 25:49Speaker 11: I llegal war.
- 25:50Speaker 1: They have no plan.
- 25:51Speaker 11: Do you think that the Trump administration gave a lot
- 25:54Speaker 11: of thought to sharing their plans with the likes of
- 25:57Speaker 11: Chris Murphy or Elon Ohms. No, I don't think so.
- 26:01Speaker 11: I mean so, I think there's a lot to be
- 26:03Speaker 11: said here. I must say, I don't know if you
- 26:05Speaker 11: saw Pete Hegseat this morning at his breast conference and
- 26:10Speaker 11: then also the general in charge of I think Sentcom.
- 26:15Speaker 11: I thought they just did a fabulous job of laying
- 26:17Speaker 11: out not just the rationale, but kind of what was
- 26:19Speaker 11: going on.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I was on Maria Barbarromo's show this morning.
- 26:23Speaker 11: We had Jack Keenan who said, look, you know, in
- 26:27Speaker 11: forty eight hours, the missiles coming out of Iran have
- 26:30Speaker 11: been knocked down to fifty percent of the volume that
- 26:33Speaker 11: they were. The navy has been crushed, not eliminated, but
- 26:38Speaker 11: certainly very badly hurt.
- 26:41Speaker 1: There has just been.
- 26:42Speaker 11: An enormous amount going on, and the Iranians amazingly.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Thought that they could attack the Gulf.
- 26:49Speaker 11: Arab nations with impunity, and what they've done is now
- 26:53Speaker 11: solidify the entire region in opposition to them.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So it's a pretty fascinating thing to do.
- 27:00Speaker 11: I think it's unbelievably gutsy of this president, because guess what,
- 27:04Speaker 11: Politically this is really dicey. When oil prices are up
- 27:08Speaker 11: almost thirty percent from the beginning of the year, that
- 27:11Speaker 11: is a high cost to Americans, and it's going to
- 27:14Speaker 11: be a high political cost to Republicans and to this president.
- 27:18Speaker 11: But you just have to say, I give them enormous
- 27:22Speaker 11: credit for taking the war to where it should be
- 27:27Speaker 11: in the Middle East, which is Iran. And we've been
- 27:30Speaker 11: dancing around this for decades, allowing these truly truly evil
- 27:36Speaker 11: people who not just slaughter their own citizens happily, but
- 27:41Speaker 11: also obviously have attacked Americans repeatedly over the years. We
- 27:46Speaker 11: have finally taken it to them, and I think that's great.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I guess you could you could fairly
- 27:52Speaker 2: say that the Ayatola was the closest thing to Hitler
- 27:55Speaker 2: on Earth today, killing thirty thousand Zone people month recently,
- 28:01Speaker 2: wanting to wipe out Israel and the Jews, just horrible, horrible,
- 28:05Speaker 2: the main sponsor of terrorism in the world. And then
- 28:08Speaker 2: explain to us the obituaries that we're you're right about
- 28:11Speaker 2: this at lispeak dot com. The obituaries in the New
- 28:14Speaker 2: York Times, in Washington Post.
- 28:16Speaker 11: It's staggering, you know, how Kamanie really had poetry in
- 28:21Speaker 11: his heart. And you know, I mean, the concept that
- 28:25Speaker 11: this fellow was anything but an evil tyrant is so offensive. Mark,
- 28:31Speaker 11: I don't know, you know, every now and then you
- 28:34Speaker 11: just kind of think, well, these people have just lost
- 28:36Speaker 11: their minds. And I think a little bit that's the case.
- 28:39Speaker 11: I just cannot imagine a reporter sitting down to write
- 28:43Speaker 11: an oh bit about one of the most hated people
- 28:45Speaker 11: on the face of the earth. I mean, it really
- 28:48Speaker 11: would be writing an obituary about Hitler and saying, well, gosh,
- 28:52Speaker 11: he had a lovely place in the mountains, you know.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It would be like saying stupidity.
- 28:57Speaker 2: It would be like saying a best selling author, yeah, yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I mean, you know, yeah exactly.
- 29:06Speaker 11: He penned mind comp and oh my goodness, wasn't that
- 29:09Speaker 11: a work of genius?
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yes.
- 29:12Speaker 11: I don't know what's wrong with these people, I really don't.
- 29:16Speaker 11: It seems to me this is a moment truly of
- 29:19Speaker 11: moral clarity. Iran was a great nation, educated people, freedom
- 29:26Speaker 11: for women, all the rest of these things, and it
- 29:29Speaker 11: became a murderous theocracy that constantly funded and.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Supported terrorism in the Middle East.
- 29:38Speaker 11: And that's why, by the way, Saudi Arabia and the
- 29:42Speaker 11: UAE and elsewhere have joined pretty happily. I would say,
- 29:46Speaker 11: the United States in fighting Iran.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I mean, this is not an easy thing for them.
- 29:51Speaker 1: They have undoubtedly.
- 29:55Speaker 11: Residents in their own countries who were in league with
- 29:59Speaker 11: the Shia Muslim world there. It's going to be a
- 30:02Speaker 11: very divisive thing in some of these Arab countries. But
- 30:06Speaker 11: the answer is, you know, enough's enough, and they know
- 30:11Speaker 11: perfectly well that these are these are bad guys. So,
- 30:14Speaker 11: I mean, it's hard to imagine with Israel the United States,
- 30:18Speaker 11: the combined military and intelligence capabilities of those two countries
- 30:22Speaker 11: and now Jordan, Saudi Arabia, et cetera. Some of those
- 30:26Speaker 11: countries are pretty sizable militaries. I cannot imagine this goes
- 30:30Speaker 11: on terribly long.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Yeah, so as soon as they started, Iran started bombing
- 30:35Speaker 2: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, they hit all the neighboring countries. It
- 30:39Speaker 2: wasn't that a big miscalculation. It brought all those countries
- 30:42Speaker 2: on board with US immediately. What were they do. So
- 30:45Speaker 2: what were they think?
- 30:47Speaker 11: I think they must have been thinking. You know, actually
- 30:50Speaker 11: you probably saw they came out with the thing thing. Well,
- 30:53Speaker 11: that was not intentional. It was a rogue military operation. Yeah.
- 30:58Speaker 11: I don't think there's a lot of rogue military cherry
- 31:00Speaker 11: groups with their hands on missiles in Iran. But you know,
- 31:04Speaker 11: I could be wrong, But yes, I think they were
- 31:09Speaker 11: assuming that the Arab countries, which have, let's face it,
- 31:13Speaker 11: enabled and turned their attentions away from Iran for a
- 31:18Speaker 11: very long time, and let this go on, Let Hesbela
- 31:23Speaker 11: carry out terrorist attack from Lebanon. Let you know, Saudis
- 31:26Speaker 11: aren't exactly keen on the hooties, but let's face this
- 31:29Speaker 11: little dingback group, the hoodies had been allowed to run
- 31:32Speaker 11: riot around Saudi Arabia in the Gulf, et cetera. And
- 31:40Speaker 11: you know, I think the Iranians just miscalculated.
- 31:43Speaker 1: They've just didn't see that they were just ready to
- 31:46Speaker 1: say enough.
- 31:47Speaker 11: And by the way, they may not have understood that
- 31:51Speaker 11: President Trump and Muhammed Bin Salomon, that the facto head
- 31:55Speaker 11: of Saudi Arabia have been partners, have been working on
- 31:59Speaker 11: a world partnership for a long time since his first
- 32:03Speaker 11: term and that's one of the reasons. I mean, that's
- 32:06Speaker 11: one of the reasons that Joe Biden went after MBS
- 32:08Speaker 11: so aggressively and was insulting to him. He couldn't stand
- 32:12Speaker 11: the fact that Trump had actually worked with the guy. Well,
- 32:15Speaker 11: that didn't turn out too well because when Biden wanted
- 32:18Speaker 11: more oil out of Saudi Arabia, NBS said, no, thanks,
- 32:21Speaker 11: we don't think we're going to help you out. So,
- 32:24Speaker 11: I mean, I think the Biden and Obama whitehouses were
- 32:29Speaker 11: so incredibly instinctively wrong about everything that they should do
- 32:34Speaker 11: in the Middle East, and Trump, you gotta say, has
- 32:36Speaker 11: kind of got it right.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, Liz Peak brilliant as always. Everybody, go to
