- 0:32Speaker 1: get my perspective on this twenty one day journey. So
- 0:36Speaker 1: we are day number nineteen. Of course it is day twenty,
- 0:41Speaker 1: but I wanted to make sure I was in transition,
- 0:44Speaker 1: so I was not able to do the eighteenth and
- 0:50Speaker 1: the nineteenth, but I did the eighteenth this morning. It
- 0:53Speaker 1: is hosted. The nineteenth is right now. So today's topic
- 0:59Speaker 1: is a noun send events and opportunities. That's gonna be
- 1:04Speaker 1: our lesson on today. That is going to be our
- 1:07Speaker 1: lesson for today, announcing events and opportunities. And yeah, I
- 1:15Speaker 1: have planned a little listen for you guys. So if
- 1:19Speaker 1: you would, those that are on TikTok, if you would
- 1:21Speaker 1: share this out for me, share this out for me,
- 1:23Speaker 1: I would truly, truly, truly, truly truly appreciate it. Appreciate it.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Let me see, let me see, let me see. Hey, hey, hey, y'all,
- 1:36Speaker 1: come on in, come on in, come on in, come
- 1:46Speaker 1: come on me. Okay, let me pull my lesson real
- 2:02Speaker 1: quick so we can go on and get started. I
- 2:04Speaker 1: ain't gonna be before your loan. Y'all know, I'll do
- 2:06Speaker 1: it quick, fastening, hurry, but I just want to participate
- 2:09Speaker 1: in the challenge. Today is day number nineteen of the
- 2:15Speaker 1: challenge Upcoming events opportunities announcing any upcoming readings, signings, podcast interviews, collaborations, etc.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So the lesson title, of course is announcing upcoming events
- 2:33Speaker 1: and opportunities are objective? Is By the end of this lesson, participate.
- 2:37Speaker 1: We want you to be able to understand the importance
- 2:40Speaker 1: of proactively shared upcoming events and opportunities such as book readings, signings, podcasts, interviews,
- 2:48Speaker 1: or collaborations that you may be doing with your audience.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And we want to learn effective strategies to make these
- 2:56Speaker 1: announcing announcements engaging. So number one and why are announcing
- 3:01Speaker 1: upcoming events important? It builds anticipation. When you announce an
- 3:07Speaker 1: event ahead of time, you give your audience something to
- 3:10Speaker 1: look forward to. This creates excitement and it keeps your
- 3:14Speaker 1: audience engaged. It boots participation. The earlier your followers know
- 3:20Speaker 1: about the event, the more likely they're able to attend,
- 3:23Speaker 1: share and support showcase active involvement. Regularly participate participate in
- 3:29Speaker 1: any events or collaboration signals to your audience that you
- 3:33Speaker 1: are active, professional and in demand. How do you expand
- 3:39Speaker 1: your reach? You reach out to podcasts, you reach out goner,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you some interviews, collaborate with some individuals. Hence, look, when
- 3:50Speaker 1: you collaborate with other people, it gives you an opportunity
- 3:54Speaker 1: to be a part of their platform when you do
- 4:00Speaker 1: collaboration projects. This is why I tell people when you
- 4:04Speaker 1: do collaboration projects, it's important that you get to know
- 4:07Speaker 1: the people that is a part of the collaboration project with. You.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Don't think that you just have to stay focused on
- 4:16Speaker 1: that one thing that you're doing, but utilize if you're
- 4:22Speaker 1: in a project with three hundred and sixty five people,
- 4:26Speaker 1: that means you got three hundred and sixty four people
- 4:28Speaker 1: that you can collaborate with that you can nectwork. If
- 4:31Speaker 1: you're part of any of the books that I've done,
- 4:36Speaker 1: the poetry books of some of I did a three
- 4:41Speaker 1: book series and there were seven individuals that were in
- 4:45Speaker 1: all three of the series. They was in all three
- 4:48Speaker 1: other books, so they had an opportunity to connect with
- 4:51Speaker 1: the first book there was I think twenty people. The
- 4:54Speaker 1: second book there was like thirty people, and then the
- 4:57Speaker 1: last book there was like forty people, so they had
- 5:00Speaker 1: opportunity to connect with all of those people. Now, what
- 5:03Speaker 1: you do once you get in the midst of them,
- 5:06Speaker 1: that is totally up to you, but there is an opportunity.
- 5:11Speaker 1: That's why I said, you have to utilize these opportunities. Y'all.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Utilize these opportunities to cross cross promote, and to amplify
- 5:24Speaker 1: the things that you're doing. Types of opportunities. To announce
- 5:31Speaker 1: your book readings. When when you're having a virtual or
- 5:35Speaker 1: in person event, you should announce these things. Let people
- 5:39Speaker 1: know what's going on, even share exerts from your upcoming
- 5:43Speaker 1: book event so that people know what's gonna take place
- 5:47Speaker 1: at that event. Book signings, you can get connected with
- 5:53Speaker 1: local libraries, local festivals, bookstores. A lot of us have
- 5:59Speaker 1: our books. Barnes and Noble, a lot of us have
- 6:01Speaker 1: our books and books a million Why not go and
- 6:04Speaker 1: ask them if you could participate in their monthly book signing. Y'all.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Most of these places have monthly book signings, So if
- 6:13Speaker 1: you have a book there, you should connect with them
- 6:16Speaker 1: and see how you could get become a part of
- 6:19Speaker 1: what they're doing. If your book is already in Barnes
- 6:23Speaker 1: and Noble. You can reach out to them and say, hey,
- 6:26Speaker 1: I have a book that's here and I was wondering
- 6:28Speaker 1: when it's your next book signing, or just reach out
- 6:32Speaker 1: and ask how could you get your own book signing?
- 6:34Speaker 1: I mean, they gonna The only thing that can The
- 6:37Speaker 1: only thing people can say to you is either yes
- 6:40Speaker 1: or no. If they say no, you keep moving, You
- 6:44Speaker 1: go to the next person. You keep beating the pavement,
- 6:48Speaker 1: you keep getting your voice out there, you keep sharing, y'all.
- 6:52Speaker 1: There's a program that reaches like Kroger, Fryer and another
- 7:01Speaker 1: other supermarkets. Once a year they hold a where you
- 7:06Speaker 1: can sign up and be a part of it. Of course,
- 7:09Speaker 1: there's a fee they charge you, like a membership free
- 7:12Speaker 1: that you have to pay. You pay that fee and
- 7:14Speaker 1: you're able to go when they have these book signings
- 7:18Speaker 1: within these grocery stores. You can go and be a
- 7:20Speaker 1: part of that, y'all. There's so many opportunities. Sometimes you
- 7:24Speaker 1: just gotta go and google or go and act somebody.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Just just staying aware of the opportunity that's around you, y'all.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Podcasts and interviews, even just going live on TikTok on Instagram,
- 7:41Speaker 1: on Facebook, substat just different places, utilizing blogs, usializing your
- 7:49Speaker 1: local TV. Most news stations have a community, a community section.
- 7:56Speaker 1: You could ask if you could be on the community.
- 8:00Speaker 1: A lot of them will allow you to come and
- 8:02Speaker 1: even be in the studio and able to share about
- 8:05Speaker 1: what you're doing. But you always can be on podcasts.
- 8:10Speaker 1: There are so many podcasts around here, so many podcasts
- 8:15Speaker 1: and joining panels there. I've noticed that there are a
- 8:18Speaker 1: lot of panels on TikTok. So if you don't see
- 8:23Speaker 1: a panel that that you want to join, create your
- 8:26Speaker 1: learn how to create your own table and allow other
- 8:30Speaker 1: people to come and build. Some people may be needing
- 8:34Speaker 1: that same space that you you are needed. So if
- 8:37Speaker 1: you see that that space is not there, sometimes you
- 8:40Speaker 1: got to create your own space. It may not be
- 8:43Speaker 1: so big and elaborate right off the bat. You gotta
- 8:47Speaker 1: put into work. You gotta build it, make it what
- 8:49Speaker 1: you want it to be. But you gotta start somewhere.
- 8:53Speaker 1: The point is, we gotta start. We gotta start somewhere.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Collaborations is is a key. Collaborations is a must, like
- 9:04Speaker 1: joint ventures with other authors of the creators of the organization.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Of course, anathologies, all types of things like that. So
- 9:17Speaker 1: those are types of opportunities that you guys can utilize
- 9:21Speaker 1: to get your brands out there, and we want to
- 9:24Speaker 1: make sure that we are announcing these things. When and
- 9:28Speaker 1: how to announce your upcoming events timing is key. A
- 9:34Speaker 1: lot of people start making announcements six to eight weeks,
- 9:43Speaker 1: but the normal two to four weeks in advance to
- 9:49Speaker 1: maximize visibility. But some even start a year ahead of time.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It's all about how you want to engage with those
- 10:00Speaker 1: that you want to be there. If you really want
- 10:03Speaker 1: to establish a trustworthy, respectable event or movement, you got
- 10:12Speaker 1: a plan and you gotta build a team. Build a
- 10:16Speaker 1: team so that you can have perspectives, different perspectives. You
- 10:21Speaker 1: can have different people working on different things and y'all
- 10:24Speaker 1: can all come together. When and how to make announcements
- 10:30Speaker 1: on platforms, So use your website, event pages, email out newsletters,
- 10:38Speaker 1: use your social media Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, sub stack.
- 10:47Speaker 1: We also have event Pacific platforms like event bright. There
- 10:52Speaker 1: are a couple of other platforms like event bright, good Reads.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I can't think of the platforms, but there are several
- 11:01Speaker 1: other platforms that are just like event right where you
- 11:05Speaker 1: can organize an event and you can have people sign up,
- 11:08Speaker 1: you can talk about the event, you can sell tickets,
- 11:10Speaker 1: you can do all of that just you can google
- 11:13Speaker 1: it and find out alternatives if you don't want to
- 11:16Speaker 1: use event right, but there are other there are other
- 11:19Speaker 1: spaces as well. And when you are making announcements, it's
- 11:24Speaker 1: always that we want to make sure that we are
- 11:27Speaker 1: putting the event details. You want people to know what
- 11:31Speaker 1: is happening, the day and time that's happening, the location
- 11:36Speaker 1: there is that is happening at. And if it's virtual,
- 11:39Speaker 1: you want to include the virtual link so that people
- 11:42Speaker 1: can connect. You want to acknowledge your environment in it.
- 11:47Speaker 1: What will you be doing and why is it exciting
- 11:51Speaker 1: to you? So you want if you're if you're going
- 11:53Speaker 1: to be the host, not acknowledge that you're going to
- 11:56Speaker 1: be the host, and not that you're going to be
- 11:57Speaker 1: the host, whatever position that you're gonna play, whatever role
- 12:00Speaker 1: you're playing in it. Let the people that support you
- 12:04Speaker 1: let them know what roles your plan. Then you want
- 12:10Speaker 1: to include how others can participate, So how can they register,
- 12:16Speaker 1: how can they RSVP? How can they purchase tickets? How
- 12:19Speaker 1: can they tune in or just mark the calendar engagement.
- 12:25Speaker 1: You want to invite readers to ask questions in advance,
- 12:28Speaker 1: to comment, to share. You always want to get your
- 12:32Speaker 1: supporters involved in sharing of your events and opportunities that
- 12:37Speaker 1: you have. So as soon as you have the announcements ready,
- 12:41Speaker 1: as soon as you have the fly is ready, make
- 12:43Speaker 1: sure that you are sharing it out with your supporters,
- 12:46Speaker 1: the ones that support you, so that they can share
- 12:48Speaker 1: it out, and that way it can get it can
- 12:51Speaker 1: get out further and it reaches more. We want to
- 12:55Speaker 1: invite everyone to be a part. So I want to
- 13:05Speaker 1: challenge you guys to draft up your own announcement. I
- 13:10Speaker 1: know some of you guys have podcasts, some of you
- 13:14Speaker 1: may have a book release that's coming up. Some of
- 13:17Speaker 1: you may have a a conference that you're doing, or
- 13:24Speaker 1: a webinar that you're doing. Create a social media post,
- 13:29Speaker 1: an email, or a newsletter blur announcing one of your
- 13:33Speaker 1: upcoming events, and make sure you tag me so that
- 13:36Speaker 1: I can share it out too. You want to make
- 13:38Speaker 1: sure that you focus on excitement, clarity, and the call
- 13:43Speaker 1: for action. So y'all, I'm about to wrap it up.
- 13:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna wrap it up. I'm gonna wrap it up.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Announcing upcoming events, keep your audience engaged and boost their participation. Clear, timely,
- 13:58Speaker 1: enthusiastic announcement create momentum and shows your professional activity. Do
- 14:05Speaker 1: not be shy about sharing your opportunities. Your audience wants
- 14:10Speaker 1: to support you, So when you have things coming up,
- 14:13Speaker 1: share them so that your audience can support what you're doing. Again,
- 14:18Speaker 1: I want you, guys to draft up and share at
- 14:21Speaker 1: least one announcement across your preferred platform tag me, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: then I want you to track your engagement, know what
- 14:31Speaker 1: works for you and what didn't work for you, and
- 14:35Speaker 1: then going forth you can apply these things, reapply these things,
- 14:39Speaker 1: and adjust them reportedly. Okay, now let me know if
- 14:46Speaker 1: if you have anything any questions that you guys want
- 14:54Speaker 1: to ask me. I have a few more minutes. Do
- 14:59Speaker 1: y'all have any questions, any comments, anything that you would
- 15:03Speaker 1: like to ask concerning this topic on today, anything that
- 15:07Speaker 1: you would like to ask Again, we have been discussing
- 15:13Speaker 1: upcoming events and opportunity announcements, how to announce these things,
- 15:18Speaker 1: and the importance of making announcements and allowing your audience
- 15:24Speaker 1: to be able to participate. Okay, So again, if you
- 15:28Speaker 1: are not following me, on subs that go over and
- 15:31Speaker 1: follow me on Substa, because you guys can tap into
- 15:34Speaker 1: all of these written so if you don't. Some people
- 15:38Speaker 1: like to read, they like to see the visual every
- 15:41Speaker 1: one of these videos that I've done. They also have
- 15:45Speaker 1: a newsletter that goes with it. If you go over
- 15:49Speaker 1: to substa, it is Queen Angela. Yeah, it's Queen Angela
- 15:59Speaker 1: dot's substat dot com. So it's Queen Angela dot substat
- 16:04Speaker 1: dot com. If you go over there and just type
- 16:08Speaker 1: in twenty one day challenge, most of them will pop up.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Or you can just scroll down the page and you
- 16:14Speaker 1: can just look and just tap into, tap into those
- 16:19Speaker 1: that you want to listen listen to, or scroll down
- 16:23Speaker 1: and look at the actual the actual newsletter, the actual
- 16:28Speaker 1: printed information. And I hope that something that I've shared
- 16:32Speaker 1: throughout these last nineteen days. I'll be back later tonight
- 16:37Speaker 1: for day twenty. Y'all. We got one more day and
- 16:39Speaker 1: this challenge is complete. It is complete, And to be honest, y'all,
- 16:44Speaker 1: I have truly seen a difference on several of my
- 16:48Speaker 1: platforms just being active and being engaging. I've noticed that
- 16:54Speaker 1: my visibility has increased, even though you may not see
- 16:58Speaker 1: all the lights in the shares that you personally may
- 17:00Speaker 1: want to have. If you go to your analytics and
- 17:03Speaker 1: look at your analytics, you can exactly you can see
- 17:06Speaker 1: exactly excuse me, you can see exactly who who is
- 17:12Speaker 1: not the individual, but you can see exactly like if
- 17:16Speaker 1: it was in the US, if it was in the Netherlands,
- 17:18Speaker 1: if it was in Australia, wherever people are tuning in
- 17:23Speaker 1: and supporting you from. It shows you the percentage, and
- 17:25Speaker 1: it'll show you your increase. Y'all, My views have increased,
- 17:32Speaker 1: it says eight hundred percent. I went from twelve thousand
- 17:37Speaker 1: views to well over twenty eight thousand views. Because y'all know,
- 17:42Speaker 1: I wasn't using this page. My main page got shut
- 17:47Speaker 1: down for whatever reason. I'm not dwaging on it. I
- 17:51Speaker 1: had well over seven thousand, almost eight close to eight
- 17:55Speaker 1: thousand followers over there and supporters. For some reason, they
- 17:59Speaker 1: fell that I was a threat. They shut my page down,
- 18:03Speaker 1: so I no longer have that page. They have been
- 18:06Speaker 1: reviewing it since May the thirty first, and they keep
- 18:10Speaker 1: telling me I have these many days, these many days
- 18:13Speaker 1: to do a review, and it will not let me
- 18:15Speaker 1: do it again. So I've pretty much come to the
- 18:17Speaker 1: conclusion that once these one hundred and some days are up,
- 18:21Speaker 1: they're gonna shut my page down, Which is fine because
- 18:24Speaker 1: I always keep a backup plan, and that's what I
- 18:26Speaker 1: want you guys to do. Keep a backup plan, keep
- 18:29Speaker 1: something going, because everybody that's over here utilizing TikTok, you
- 18:33Speaker 1: better have you somewhere else. If y'all just think that
- 18:36Speaker 1: TikTok is the platform and that's the only platform you need,
- 18:41Speaker 1: you are sadly mistaken because as of September, the first
- 18:46Speaker 1: TikTok will no longer exist, and when they come back
- 18:49Speaker 1: in twenty twenty six, it's gonna be better. So I
- 18:54Speaker 1: want to encourage you guys to utilize your other platforms
- 18:58Speaker 1: and not put all your your eggs in one basket.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Because some of us we got all our eggs in
- 19:04Speaker 1: one basket. I see some of us we go live
- 19:06Speaker 1: over here seven and eight times a day like this
- 19:09Speaker 1: is our only job. Do not put all your eggs
- 19:12Speaker 1: in one basket. Please don't. If you are not utilizing
- 19:16Speaker 1: other platforms. I want to encourage you today to go
- 19:21Speaker 1: and utilize other platforms. Check out some of these other
- 19:25Speaker 1: platforms and get involved in those platforms. Sub Stack is
- 19:29Speaker 1: a great platform to utilize. You have the capability to
- 19:34Speaker 1: go live. I don't know how to go live the
- 19:37Speaker 1: way that some of them go live, but I go
- 19:39Speaker 1: live on my phone when I do want to go
- 19:41Speaker 1: live over there. So you have the capability to go live.
- 19:44Speaker 1: You have the capability to upload and have a podcast.
- 19:47Speaker 1: You have the capability to do a newsletter. I mean,
- 19:50Speaker 1: there's so many options that you have right there on
- 19:52Speaker 1: a free platform. And then you have the capability to monetize.
- 19:59Speaker 1: You can physical, you can monetize yourself. You have that
- 20:03Speaker 1: capability to monetize. So I want you guys to definitely
- 20:08Speaker 1: get involved, to go over there and to check it out.
- 20:11Speaker 1: If you have not checked it out, I want you
- 20:13Speaker 1: to go over there and check it out. Okay, y'all.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I will see y'all later on tonight because I have
- 20:20Speaker 1: day number twenty that I must complete, y'all. I am
- 20:25Speaker 1: on this day too. I am on this twenty one
- 20:27Speaker 1: day challenge with my Libros Ramero. She's the only one
- 20:31Speaker 1: out of the one hundred out the movement that is participating,
- 20:35Speaker 1: so I always got to too her on and give
- 20:37Speaker 1: her a shout out because she's definitely representing her brand.
- 20:40Speaker 1: She's definitely representing her brand. She definitely is showing that
- 20:45Speaker 1: she means business and she want people to know who
- 20:48Speaker 1: she is. So I give hats off to her and
- 20:51Speaker 1: I congratulate her for yet another twenty one day challenge
- 20:55Speaker 1: and yet increase visibility and yet more brand aware. So, y'all,
- 21:01Speaker 1: if y'all want more brand awareness, y'all want more visibility,
- 21:04Speaker 1: I encourage you to get involved participate in our August challenge.
- 21:07Speaker 1: We're gonna be doing another twenty one day challenge in August,
- 21:10Speaker 1: from August the first to August the twenty first. Get
- 21:14Speaker 1: involved and allow your brand to speak around the world. Okay,
- 21:23Speaker 1: all right, y'all, I am going to go on and
- 21:25Speaker 1: get on up out of here. I'm gonna go ahead
- 21:27Speaker 1: and get this uploaded for you guys. So y'all will
- 21:30Speaker 1: be able to see some clips here shortly over here
- 21:32Speaker 1: on TikTok. If you want to catch the replay, of course,
- 21:37Speaker 1: you can go over to YouTube. You can go to Twitch,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you can go to kick or you can go simply
- 21:42Speaker 1: right there on Facebook and hear the whole full recording.
- 21:47Speaker 1: And we will be up on speaker, which will be
- 21:49Speaker 1: on I heart Spotify and all those other platforms here
- 21:53Speaker 1: shortly again, I want to thank you guys for tuning

- 22:00Speaker 1: and so supportive. See y'all later, see y'all later. H
- 22:25Speaker 1: mm hmm
