- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's a state of being.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: It is the Mile High Huddle Podcast.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm your host, Solo Tonight, Chad Jensen.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: My part, Zach Kellerman is off this evening.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: He'll be back tomorrow, though.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: So let not your hearts be troubled.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: We got plenty to talk about, though.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we got some...
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't quite call it rumors about Troy Franklin being traded, it's more like chatter and speculation could he be traded, but you know, the other guy to think about and credit to our buddy Jeff Cohen, I don't know if he's in the chat tonight or we'll see him, but he brought this to my attention with the Nuggets game today, Marvin Mims Jr. doing some altitude TV, popped in, gave his reaction to the Jalen Waddle trade, which I thought
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: sincere genuine and should make everybody kind of think twice but even Marvin Mims let me put it this way we'll get to it I'll see if I can't do a little bit of share screen.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'll send it to Mr. Producer and he can put it up on screen here in a little bit But everybody I think if your name's not Portland Sutton or J. J. J. and Wattle I think everyone's a little bit unsure exactly What this whole thing really means for them
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: And not even necessarily like, oh my gosh, does that mean I'm gone, but just like, even how do I fit into this thing?
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll we'll talk about it.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: Some hello is real quick.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: We got the mic first comment in the chat dear member Mike Thompson.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, brother?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: We got Raj and the string guys saying good evening.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: Just got the garden plowed for my wife.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: for the weather turned cold and windy again, your good husband buddy.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, spring cleaning, we've been doing a lot of that stuff.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: But gallbladder surgery on the 31st, oh, you're about a week out.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's, know, I know a few people that have gone through that.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: And for some of them, it's been like easy peasy, no big deal.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: Some of them, it's been a little bit more involved.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: So fingers crossed that you're the the easy peasy guy Raj on all that stuff.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: So shout out.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: We got pearl.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not a bunch happening, but we got some stuff cooking.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: Pearl says I saw a report that the Broncos had a zoom conference with a tackle from Washington that's from Colorado.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was from us.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: That was from MHH Broncos on SI.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the the story on that.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: What's his name, Carver Willis, I got to make sure I'm getting his first name right.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Carver Willis.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: He was at the senior bowl.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: Wasn't he Scott?
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty sure he was there the Washington offensive tackle.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, he had a, um,
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: Sit down with Justin mellow of the NFL draft on SI one of our sister sites and he talked about how he's having a virtual meeting with the Denver Broncos so big big offensive tackle.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: kind of classic situation where he played tackle in college, but you know, as he is going to be good enough to play in space like that at the next level, there are some doubts, but he's definitely a guy that's going to hear his name called, it's just a matter of not only where and when, but like, how is he, what's his NFL role?
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a story up you guys go check it out.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: A carver willus going to be meeting with the Broncos.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: One of, you know, they're going to be with virtually in between their top 30s, you know, close to 100.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: 100 prospects.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, Kirsten jumping in, what's up?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: Another deer member saying, so I was talking to another musician.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: that I went to see over the weekend.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: She said it already was her 44th show of the year of the year.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: I've only played 17 shows so far.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that is a lot.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's someone that's doing some doing some hard work.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: That is for sure.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, Kirsten.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: And glad to hear you're out there playing some shows.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's dope.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what I was talking about Marvin Mims with Altitude.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: talking about his role and really just reacting to John Wall.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: You could tell he's maybe a little bit shook.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_04]: The good news is Bo is going to come back healthy.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_04]: The majority of your team is going to come back.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_04]: The Broncos just signed Jalen Waddle and we were talking before this.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_04]: You can never have enough talent on the team.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: How did you react when you saw that trait?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think it really surprised me, you know, just bringing in the guy like that, but I mean, if you look at his, I mean, his career ever since high school to college and now, I mean, he's just a explosive playmaker.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think offensively, you know, we always need more playmakers.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think it'll be a really fun to watch, so we'll just see how it all comes out this season.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: Do you ask yourself, what does that mean for me, since you guys are essentially the same type of player?
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a little bit, you know, it's just interesting to see how often in the offense, but then the day, you know, just for me, the past two years, I mean, the thing I've taken pride in has been able to play running back, you know, be a returner, be a receiver.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I can affect the game.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm happy to go out there and do it.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: So there you have it.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: He was surprised, right?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: He was surprised A and B.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, yeah, I'm not really sure exactly where I'm going to fit.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, we are kind of similar type receivers, although Jalen Wattles is significantly more accomplished NFL wide out.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: And I think there's room for both of them.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think especially for this new vision offense that has a guy like Davis web calling the plays.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: They could be dangerous together.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see Patrick what's up, dude.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: Aloha right back at you big dog.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well and pair a dice, but what do you guys think?
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you saw you saw Marvin Mims.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to write up a story on this after the podcast tonight for it.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean Rodney saying a love Marvin Mims, especially that bangles game.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: in 2024, he put on a show.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that, you know, a good example of the Broncos still kind of growing 2024, they go to overtime, couldn't quite figure out how to win that one, lose to Joe Burrow in the Bengals, but he was pivotal.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: Without Marvin Mims, it doesn't go to overtime.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he had the earlier touchdown over the top nice deep ball, and then I can't remember was the third down.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: I might have been third or fourth down either way.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: It was a got to have it situation, Bonyx flushed out, you know, 25, 30 yard line, maybe even a little bit deeper than that.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: flushed out right Marvin Men's double covered, but both season window and he chucks it, Marvin goes up, grabs it comes down, contested, touchdown.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: And that was the pivotal moment if you guys remember in that game when Sean Payton could have done the Mike Shanahan thing, you know, like against the the chargers back in 2008, that week two game, that crazy game.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: and go for two, but he, and win the game, but he chose to play for over time and ended up living to kind of regret that.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: But Marvin Mims, look, that's why going into 2025, we were so excited about what the future could hold for Marvin Mims in this offense, started kind of thinking about him as more of like a...
- 6:55[SPEAKER_02]: surefire receiver not just a role player and then nothing right nothing he wasn't really involved till the second half of the season and even then it was more like the playoffs but once again back to back years now he punctuates the season with a memorable memorable place right like his his performance against the bills and the divisional round was huge he was like the only receiver in the championship game against the Patriots that really showed up so
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how he fits in, but it's going to be interesting.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_02]: Rock says hit the thumbs up and subscribe to the MHH podcast on YouTube.

- 7:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's up MHH Peeps, happy Sunday.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so the main, uh,
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: The main story line around tonight, we're going to talk about here in a second, and that is PFF.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: We're reaching that kind of low in the news cycle, the major waves of free agency are officially in the books.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: So you know, it's like, all right, how do we keep the conversation going, talking about the Broncos?
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, PFF, they released their post-free agency.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: power rankings and we're going to talk about exactly where the Denver Broncos found themselves checking in there.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: But first guys, before we get to that real quick, listen, March, hey, the tournament's back, upsets are inevitable and underdog guys is still the best place to get in on all that action.

- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so yeah.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_02]: So the Denver Broncos check in at
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: on PFF's post free agency power rankings, the Broncos check in, you guys are gonna love this.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: If you haven't seen the article already, they check in at number 12, all right?
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously it was that these rankings were pretty heavily weighted by
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: Mason Cameron of PFF, how he perceived teams either competitive competitor teams Improved or didn't during free ages.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: In other words, the ones that really use free agency to try and take some steps forward They seem to get a lot more love in the rankings than the Broncos who let's face it.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: They did finally make a splash play, but I mean, it's still been a really unique
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe unprecedented is now a little bit too strong, but it's been a curious approach to the offseason, and this is what he wrote.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos were reserved through the first week of free agency, opting to prioritize their own pending free agents as opposed to adding new talent.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: Not all were able to be retained as John Franklin Myers cashed in on a strong showing over the past two years in Denver, the real splash didn't come until this week with the trade to acquire former Dolphins receiver, Jalen Waddle, giving quarterback Bonesix a highly efficient pass catcher who was ranked in the 88th percentile in yards per route over the past three seasons.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: So that's all he wrote and it doesn't really justify where he drops him.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, though guys.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this is one of the final four teams in the NFL this last season, right?
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: And he's going to drop him 12.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's got teams like the chargers, the Texans.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: I had of them.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: So kind of curious, but because it's pff, it's like, hey, we'll write it up.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Get the conversation going, but should we be surprised?
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: And what I'll say is like, hey, man, it's the Broncos.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: I would prefer to see the Broncos still be in slept on still being overlooked somewhat then going into a season where it's like okay guys here's the new kings of or one of the new kings of the AFC West that everybody's got to like gear up to vanquish.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_02]: I rather than kind of fly beneath the radar.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: Papa bear what's going on Big Dog great to see you a dear member, a Mount Rushmore superstar every single night throwing down a super chat and support and not only as a member, but through super chat, so thank you, Big Dog, you know, we appreciate you.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: He says good evening Broncos country hashtag god bless the USA and let's go, but we definitely need both those hashtags.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: with what's going on right now.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you, Big Dog.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: Really, really appreciate you.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: We also have George Fox and D.A.C.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: is doing another trade before the draft.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos for life, MHH for life hit the thumbs up guys.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's hard to say because trades first of all, part of the, I mean, we kind of saw something like this coming or at least we heard all the rumors and there's, there's a lot of smoke dating all the way back to last fall, especially with how quiet they were that first week.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: We all kind of felt there might be something coming,
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: trades by nature, you know, they kind of come out of left field unless it's right up against the deadline.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: Then you expect to see some things happen.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: You're never sure exactly what dominoes are going to fall, right, even against the deadline.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: But before the draft, no, I could see some stuff happening during the draft, though, and George Peyton.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: is very well known for making draft day trades, not just moving up and down the board, but I mean, John Franklin Myers was draft day.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think Zach Wilson, if memory serves, the quarterback was draft day.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: So what I'll be curious to see.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: is if any of the receivers below Cortland Sutton and Jalen Waddle are going to generate any interest because it's kind of crazy to think, you know, when I was writing this article up about Troy Franklin and just some of the trade chatter yesterday, I had to remind myself I'm like, well first of all, I go, oh, you know, what's, what could he feasibly be worth in a trade?
- 14:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm like, well, I guess the the best example would be in Broncos recent canon would would be seeing what reminding myself what the Broncos got for Devon Bailey.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: Fourth round pick in a seventh round pick, whoa for Devon Bailey.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, dude.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: If a team was in love with Troy Franklin, maybe a fourth round pick, maybe, best case scenario, probably more like fifth round conditional or, you know, conditional six, something like that.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: However, what's ironic is the Broncos got such a good return on that Devon Bailey trade.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: And yet, Troy Franklin, at this stage in his career, is already a significantly more accomplished receiver in the NFL than Bailey was.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: him pulling in a little bit more for the team if they were going to trade him.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't necessarily that's not me saying that I think the Broncos are going to be picking up the phone trying to move.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: Troy Franklin, but if the phone rings.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: It'd probably be around the draft George.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, buddy, we'll see on that front.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: We got the Duchess, Michaela Parker checking in from the top rope with a very generous super chat tonight as I'm holding her down solo.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: Happens every once in a while and it's always fun.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's always a joy talking with y'all.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Duchess says, hi, Chad, love you.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I love you too.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's a fact.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: She says, any more moves, you see us making.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: MHH forever.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: Amen to that sister.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: Listen.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: There's moves that I would like to see the Broncos make, but this particular off-season kind of has me a little bit off-kilter on feeling confident in my reads because like most of the time it's pretty clear like if you're seeing something from a roster weakness perspective and it seems pretty evident from the outside, not always, but more often than not, you see the team doing things that kind of correspond to that, you know, yeah, okay.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: right now they're still some obvious what ifs on this if they had to go to war tomorrow like they need that third linebacker that has a little proven sand in his his his drawer so to speak are they fully confident in who has a reke and saviour on jones basically kind of tag teaming that starting role that john Franklin Myers had and if not
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you got to make a move there.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: Tide end, I am still utterly dissatisfied.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm fine with Evan Ingraham.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: I just hate everything but Evan Ingraham.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, specifically a blocking slash y-tide end guide, like David and Joku, last I checked.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: Unless you heard something scab before we went live here and get, in fact, you know, I'll just do it real quick.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: Might as well, I'm live, so I don't say something that isn't true.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're still available.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: still out there.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: So these are moves that I would like to see the Broncos make.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: The question Michaela is, do I now reasonably believe that they will?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: And now I really don't, I don't think so.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think that they are a lot higher on
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: Adam Troutman to fill that that why role once again and they're excited to see what they can get out of Evan Ingraham in year two, running back their fully stoked on RJ coming back for year two and JK Dobbins coming in on that new contract and being healthy and having the whole off season in the strength and conditioning program and really taking advantage of that to hopefully stay on his feet.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: for the whole season, although I still think it'd be good to add one more guy out there, just to give the Broncos some first and second down flexibility in the event that JK Dobbins suffers another unfortunate injury or misses any time whatsoever.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, we'll see Michaela and I'll ask you the same.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: Do you see any other moves coming down the pike because I think it ends up being the draft where some of the stuff happens?
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: uh gene William brother good to see a big dog he's saying what's up my friend.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: I hope your night is going great.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, some dudes can rock the cowboy hat with a plum.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: Some dudes can't.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: You can rock it with a plum dude.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: Look at you.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: Look at you with that cowboy hat and the and the Bruceky rocking it dude.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: Says I hope your night is going great.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: Alvin Camara and Von Miller are going to be in Denver by the start of the season.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: So there's some options for you, Michaela.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: Look,
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think every last three shows I've done.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe last four shows I've done.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: Cameras name has been brought up.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: And look, first things first.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's still under contract.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't released him.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_02]: And they have some pretty gnarly dead money if they do release him.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I kind of don't expect him to.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: In other words, if you wanted Camara, you'd have to trade for him.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: And what are you going to give up?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: You're already sans a first rounder.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: You do have a second round pick, but do you want to give up a second round pick team for 32 year old running back and I get it.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's been a pro bull or he's been prolific and his best years were with Sean Payton, but you know, two years ago before the 2024 trade deadline during the season, it made a lot more sense.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he was almost 30 not quite, so he's still barely in his 20s.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: And the Broncos did not have RJ Harvey at the time.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: They did not have JK Dobbins.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: They could have really have used him, but not only did the Saints not trade him, they ended up extending him then.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why he's now become kind of too expensive to really contemplate, especially for a team like Denver that has a basically a mini on the guy that's been drafted to be a Camara in RJ Harvey.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: already built in number one running back JK Dobbins.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: So I actually see Von Miller as a stronger possibility for what you're saying than Alvin Khmerin for what it's worth.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: Now, if we're going to talk about saints, you know, their defensive, um,
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: their defensive alignment cam Jordan, that's a guy that I think the Broncos would be wise to check you know, just because again, you got that hole, the JFM hole, and you got a couple guys that you're prepared to perhaps rely on, but you really want to have to rely on them.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe go get a guy that's got some proven experience in the tank.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: Love you, Michaela.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: You got to let us know.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: Drop a one in the chat.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: If you saw the thing I played at the top of the show about Marvin Mims with a big one party on the altitude where he talked about his reaction to jail and water.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: So with a very second very generous second super chat, Michaela says, I keep on hearing trade rumors.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: for both Franklin and MIMs, any truth to that that you hear.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, no.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: At this point, I kind of mentioned this at the top two, but it's not so much, um,
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: rumors, Michaela as it is kind of chatter and speculation, which there is a difference.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: You might say, you're kind of splitting hairs on me here, Jensen, but rumors, it usually stems from somebody who is credibly in the know, floating something out there, heard from this, you know, I'm hearing this.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hearing that.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's a rumor.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: Then you have verified reports and then it turns into a real story.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: What we got right now, Michaela is,
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what are the implications, you know, income's joy or incomes, jail and water?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: What does it mean for Troy Franklin?
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: What does it mean for Marvin Mims could either of them be expendable?
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: Could the Broncos be looking to maybe make back some of that draft capital?
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: They spent acquiring water by trading one of these guys.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_02]: So here's the thing.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: If you put my put me in a corner, gun my head, whatever, I would prefer to see MIM stick around, not just because of what I believe he can do, that is so unique as a receiver, but obviously his special teams return or stuff.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: But Franklin, you know, he's a...
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: Also, men's contract year, so you got to think about that, I guess, in the in the equation in terms of his value, but I don't know, there's a long-winded way of me saying it's chatter at this stage, there may be some truth to it in the sense that like these guys are now on a little bit different footing than they were.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: But it really comes down to are the Broncos really looking to shake things up that much with their receiver room because those guys combined for whatever was some like 1200 yards last season.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see right now it's just chatter, but if you haven't checked out the.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: the Marvin Mims interview with it's just a real short 30 second blurb that he did with Vickland Barney.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we'll play it again at the end of this at the end of the episode for those who maybe weren't there at the top of the show.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Kirsten saw it rock saw it.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll maybe play it one more time at the bottom of the show.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: If not, it's on my ex account at Chad and Jensen.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: 97, Eric, what's up, dude?
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the generous superchap big dog.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: He says, Brock is country, roll tied roll.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm happy to get water because it's that explosive piece we needed to get over the hump.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: I keep doing a mock draft with the Texas Tech linebacker Rodriguez, Jackson, Jr., the defensive tackle, and then the tight end, trig, or jolly, and the running back at him, Randall.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, those all those guys are interesting in their own right.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: The thing about jolly is, you can't block, so keep that in mind.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: Randall, he's a converted wide receiver, still kind of
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: Check him out in person for a few days at the senior bull.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: He was interesting, but
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I mean, you're not wrong about the whole roll tied roll thing.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, that just reminded me of something, Luca Evans of the Denver post, who does really, really good work.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: So shout out to him.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: But he had a nice piece today, Sunday read type thing on the Jalen water trade and just kind of getting insights from different folks.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just seeing if I can find this real quick and easy, but while I'm also talking off the top of my head.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: But he got a awesome quote from Patrick Sertan senior here.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: Here it is.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: I found it.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: So Sertan senior was on the Dolphins coaching staff as I don't know an advisor or maybe an intern.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember something But he was with the Dolphins in 2022.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: So that was water second year and of course
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: his son and water were such good friends and everything in college and stuff like he knows Jalen water very, very well.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: So the comment he gave to Luca Evans of the Denver Post was quote, obviously Jalen is a deep threat with his speed and explosiveness.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: He can run every route.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's going to be even more scary with both escape ability.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to see a
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: Where J gets open close quotes.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: So that's Patrick's or tan senior talking to the Denver Post and I got to tell you man
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with them, you know, there's going to be bonyx.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's one of sometimes he breaks the pocket too early once in a while, right?
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's one of the criticisms of both is that he doesn't stay patient enough.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say it was Kurt Warner at the Super Bowl saying that's one of the things I want to see from Bo in terms of his progression is just give it that extra beat or too long or stick in the pocket because that's one thing's
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: In the route progressions really start opening up and you can hit guys and be prolific, but we know Bowle at the first kind of hand of things He will break that pocket and he'll go either run and pick up yards with his legs or he'll throw on the run and do there could be some big things in store there So as you say happy to get him in town that explosiveness jail and water It's gonna pay some dividends Jean appreciate your dog.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: He says much love.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: I just see camera getting cut this year
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: just saw the chemistry at that flag football event so um I'll pull it up I'll pull it up I had it up last night let me go uh let me go out in Camara yeah yeah yeah yeah hang with me guys we'll do some scratch and sniff so I can illustrate this for y'all and you can see a gene now look especially in today's NFL what I'm about to show you doesn't necessarily
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: because we've seen like the Broncos do the dead money thing with us.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: We're seeing all the dead money that the dolphins are incurring.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: But here is where things stand with Alvin Cameras contract.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: So he'll be 32 this season.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_02]: So he's 31, but he will be 32 during the season.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: and he's on the books currently with a for 2026 for a 10.4 million dollar cap number, but if you look at his over here on the right-hand side, all right, the left-hand column shows dead money, right-hand column shows cap savings.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: So this word, this is if they just cut him right now without a post first post-une first designation, they would incur 24
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: million bucks in dead money, but of course if they were to cut him, whether it's in the near future or later this summer, they would obviously designate it as a post-June first cut.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: They'd still take on 10 million in dead money and it would only save them 300 grand.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: So what's the incentive is what I'm getting at?
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: What's the incentive if you are the saints?
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: to move on from Camara unless he had either completely fallen off or was like cancerous or something in the locker room, right?
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: So one other thing here, let's take a quick look at his.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: a reminder of how he did last season, a production wise with the new coach in the new system.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: So last season, he did miss time, he only had 11 games, finished with 471 rush yards, let's see, averaged.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: One of his, actually, that might be a career low.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: It is a career low.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: 3.6 yards per carry in those 11 games.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: And then as a receiver, he only chipped in 33 grabs 186 yards.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: So we're talking, you know, basically 600 yards from Scrimmage in 11 games.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: If it happened, you know, more than one season, you start worried a little bit if you're the Saints, but the year before when he was quite a bit healthier, granted different scheme, different system and coaching regime, I mean, he had 950 rushing yards, which was his career high.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: In 2024, that was the year he was almost traded six touchdowns.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: So is it enough to say, ah, he's fallen off so much?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: How much do you point to the injury problems he had yesterday, last season?
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not as confident as you are that he is going to get cut this season, just because why they they don't have much incentive from a cap savings and a lot of dead money.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see never say never though, because it is the NFL A.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: And as I mentioned, we're seeing that kind of thing, teams just kind of come to terms with it more and more.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: or the last few years, the Broncos, in particular, kind of helping to signal that shift.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to our boy, Smouse, and the House celebrating five months of actual MHH YouTube membership.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: But he's been in the clan dude.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's been an insider for going on almost seven years, dude.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_02]: One time we've been doing this now, one time.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: MHH UN, indeed, he says your boy has an app package,
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: Is that what he's saying?
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think Scott, I don't have a Zach with me to help interpret some of this stuff your boy has an app Package on Apple iOS and almost on Android so Dude, that's dope congrats to you grinding hustle and dude proud of you super proud of you buddy good to see you tonight Zachary Love your grind man.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: I love how hard you go after it.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: Sue Gibson a dear dear member
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: Jumping in with a super chat tonight, man.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: It just feels real special.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Sue.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate your support more ways than one, right?
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: Being a member and a superstar.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: Love you.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: She says, Hey, Chad, what are your thoughts on Titan Max Claire?
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have a prayer for City.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have a prayer.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos didn't have a prayer sitting at 30 without moving up, you know, half the round to even maybe get a shot at City.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: And now that you don't have the first round pick, Kenyan City is officially off the board.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: But I like him.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: Um,
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know, 64, 246, this is from Lance Zerlin of NFL.com, highly athletic, pass-catching tie-dend, capable of earning volume targets on the pro level.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: Claire can live beyond the typically typical targeted depth for most tie-dends thanks to his route inventory and ability to generate separation across the field.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: draft out of the gates to be a receiving tight end with maybe, you know, six, four, two, forty, six.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: If he works on things, maybe he could develop into helping me out as a blocker, but I like him.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: I like him.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: There are some other options in the draft, but yes, a deep definitely Sue is is out of reach now.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's out of reach for show.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: We got
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: 10 MHH memberships, gifting them in the chat to folks who I'm sure are going to be stoked, but I'm stoked.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Kirsten.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: Much love and respect.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: That means a lot.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for being a member.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for supporting what we're doing by gifting memberships.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: And you'll have to tell me about the shows you've played this this year.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a minute.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: I want to check out your YouTube channel at one point, but I know it's been like, it's been
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, Kirsten, for the gifted membership.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_02]: Moneymore is loving that and he's been with us forever.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: Moneymore is a legendary superstar.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: So, Kirsten, much love and respect, but are you playing in a band?
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: Go after a lot of snow and we can go check it out.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: My band, we've only played two shows this year, but you know, we're not trying to like, go out there and get it, you know, so to speak.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: We play shows when we can afford to and by afford, I just mean like when we have the time to, but you know, I usually try to schedule it when I do that stuff in the off season of the NFL because the season, man, I'm too busy most of the time.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, we just, well, it wasn't not this weekend,
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: Last weekend, we played a couple of shows, we were on the road, we hit Salt Lake City, we hit Las Vegas, play it at the punk rock museum, my band bridge the gaps, so that was really cool.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_02]: So, drop some stuff on your band, love to check it out or what you're doing.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's really cool.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: Much love and respect, my friend.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, where we at time was, guys, we're doing pretty good, but real quick, before we, there's some other stuff we're going to talk about here tonight, but before we do.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, when we first started the MHH Merch Store way back in 2019, we weren't sure whether it was the right decision and, you know, being honest, we had thoughts like, man, what if this doesn't work, what if no one wants to buy anything and that kind of uncertainty is not easy to overcome, but choosing to make the leap and launch the Merch Store, I got to tell you,
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: It was one of the best decisions MHH has made, and when we were launching the MHH merch store, Shopify helped ease so many of those concerns with its expertise, helpful tools, and easy to use platform.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you, it's like paint by numbers, it's point and click, it's so helpful and easy.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: we could not have succeeded without Shopify or frankly, your support and Shopify, what is it?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's the e-commerce platform that is behind millions of businesses around the world, and 10% of all e-commerce period in the U.S. from household names like Mattel and Magic Spoon to brands just getting started and niche brands, kind of like MHH.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: Get started with your own design studio with hundreds of ready to use templates, Shopify helps you build an online store that is beautiful, that matches your brand style.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're worried that people haven't heard of your brand, Shopify helps you find customers with easy to run email and social media campaigns, which I can vouch for, having used them, they work.

- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm, I got to remind myself on an app name.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: Stand by, homie.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: Almost there.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I don't know, dude.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure I don't want to lie to you.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, probably Genesis Smith, just because he's more of the
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's more of like straight forward safety and the Broncos need some depth there as opposed to corner back, you know, I guess you got to start hedging a little bit for Riley Moss's potential for him leaving after this season, but that's a good question for the hardcore draft guys at MHH fill like tomorrow morning.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: If I know they get up early, they're rocking it even earlier these days, Broncos for breakfast, but
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's something Nick and Eric could tackle for you in depth.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, I'll send him this question for you.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: And even if you're not up and at him, you could go back and play it.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll make sure they cover for you a big dog.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the question.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: Sue Gibson says, I love your podcast.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: You guys are the best.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: So we love you too.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know this.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: She says so happy about water.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: Your thoughts on camera.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I I like camera.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just a little bit worried about where he's at age wise.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: Why was I think it was 32?
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: He turns 31 in July.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: But still, wrong side of 30 either way.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: And so last season had a little bit of a hard time staying on the field, the production starts to suffer.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm not fully ready to just like draw huge conclusions from that because the year before in 2024 as we were talking about a few minutes ago, we had some career rushing production anyway, which was followed by a career low,
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: So from an efficiency standpoint, you go, all right, is it the age thing?
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so quite yet for him, by the way, is it the new system thing or was it the injury that caused him to not look so hot?
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: But he had an MCL spring.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's what happened to him last season.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: And that was about 12 weeks in.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, it didn't help that the saints were dealing with, especially that first half of the season with some pretty gnarly quarterback in consistency and
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: that affects everything like yeah it's not the quarterback run in the ball between the tackles but when the quarterback can't get it first down with his arm what it teams do defenses they load the box they make it harder to run because they just don't think you can beat them and so that was something that obviously affected him I like him if he were a free agent right now
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: different story.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be a lot more open to the idea of saying, hey, even though you got RJ Harvey, look, Camaro would be an option like I could sell myself on it by going like, hey, Camaro could step in right away and just like be that guy immediately that Sean Peyton is trying to develop Harvey into becoming at some point.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: And yet if you do that,
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: it comes at the cost of RJ Harvey's action and you know, it'll slow down his development.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: So if that if the Broncos did not have Alvin, or pardon me, RJ Harvey right this second, it would make a lot more sense.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: But when you have RJ Harvey and RJ did what he did last year, all those touchdowns and look, I know he wasn't the guy that
- 39:15[SPEAKER_02]: proved he was ready quite yet to carry the load as the you know RB1.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully he doesn't have to be that guy this year with with JK coming back and all that so he can just be the guy RJ Harvey that is utilized as that weapon in different spots across the field especially in the red zone.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see but I'm not too stoked on it.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: I could again, I could talk myself into it.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: If he was a free agent, but if you're the Broncos and you were like hell bent on Camara.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: You've already given up a first-in-the-third-round pick.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, are you gonna have a draft this year?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta start wondering about that.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: a fun question they'll sue and thank you to podcast tonight or to super chats of one podcast I should say thank you so much, sue, love you.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: But guys, I do have to keep it kind of tight this evening, so if you have any burning topics or questions, get them in the chat and we will get to it, I will get to it before we dip out of here.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela, she's still in the house with us because I want, yeah, she is.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to show you this one more time in case you might have missed it.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: This is Marvin Mims doing an appearance today on altitude with Vickland Bardy and he's asked about the Jalen Water Trade.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: So check it out.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: We make sure we got volume OK.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_04]: The good news is, Bo is going to come back healthy.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_04]: The majority of your team is going to come back.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_04]: The Broncos just signed Jalen Waddle and we were talking before this.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_04]: You can never have enough talent on the team.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_04]: How did you react when you saw that trade?
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think it really surprised me.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just bringing in the guy like that.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, if you look at his career, ever since high school to college, so now I mean, he's just a explosive playmaker.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think offensively, you know, we always need more playmakers.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think it'll be a really fun to watch.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll just see how it all comes out this season.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_04]: Do you ask yourself what does that mean for me since you guys are essentially the same type of player?
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a little bit, you know, it's just interesting to see how often in the offense.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: But then the day, you know, just for me the past few years, I mean, the thing I've taken pride in has been able to play running back, you know, be return or be receiver.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, I can affect the game, you know, I'm happy to go out there and do it.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so there you have it, uh, you're seeing that, yeah, he's feeling a little unsettled at this point and wondering what the implications are specifically for him, which, you know, just kind of goes to show an illustrate that when a big splash move is made, whether it's a trade, whether it's a big free agent signing, look, the media and the fans, we're not alone in one run, ooh, what are the implications for the incumbents at that position that are already on the team?
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: uh... she says if you were ready uh... if you were a white jumping in again by the way makala third super chat of the night if you were a receiver needy team would you trade for franklin for a second round or no no i think the absolute like most desperate here we just really want to a franklin is a fourth round pick that's probably maybe maybe maybe maybe in some like super
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: desperate like oh my gosh our guy just tore his ACL away from the facility or something like here's the second round pick I don't think so though.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think the best and it's pretty feasible like you could maybe get a fourth round pick for Franklin so if a team calls Michaela during the draft
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's something the Broncos probably do, honestly, because I mean, look at how discipline they've been in not making and spending money in free agency, just to try and protect that future fourth round comp pick, they're hoping to get back or expecting to get back from JFM.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: Someone calls him up on the phone during the draft and says, here's a fourth round pick for Troy Franklin, and you've got Jalen Waddle.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: He's out the door.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: And look, Pat Bryant might end up being that third receiver anyway, even with Franklin still here like Broncos love Pat Bryant so really interesting questions and I think the speculation is going to continue all the way up until the draft so we'll continue talking about this very topic as we kind of close out March here over the next week and get into draft month April and it'll the draft will be here before you know guys just like it felt like
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: Supervolz over man.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_02]: We got like a month and a half or something till Pre-Asian Sea all of some boom.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's here.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get there and it's these streams and these conversations that help pass the time and get us there So thank you.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much again, Michaela love you Rock dude gifting 20 MHH memberships in the chat between rock and Kirsten.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: We got 30 gifted memberships which is phenomenal, dude
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's so cool.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Ron.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we love you big dog.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_02]: Everything that you do here at MHH and I know those folks that got the memberships, they're going to be stoked too.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you, pal.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: I want to give a shout out here before I dip to Marcus White on Facebook says hello guys.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: Keep up the good work.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, buddy.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think we should look for a replacement for
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: What do you guys think?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: Because it kind of is a little bit more pressing than you might think, because Jared Stidham,
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: is now in a contract here.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: So he's on an expiring contract 2026.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's his last year on his deal.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: And we all had these super high hopes that he was going to be able to kind of like not miss a beat.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos not miss a beat with him at quarterback in the AFC Championship game.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: And that obviously those hopes came crashing down relatively quickly by the second quarter.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think we all knew it was like, yeah, we were tripping to think that all of a sudden,
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I digress, the point is, what kind of backup do you need?
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: Before the divisional round, I would say that Jared Stitham was what had been like, it's not, I don't want to approach it that way.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: You got to look at a different way now.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: Bonyx has shown he can get hurt, he's human.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_02]: And when he gets hurt, he's your franchise quarterback.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously, the show kind of comes to a stop when your franchise quarterback goes down.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: So you got to prioritize it, I think, two different ways.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_02]: Steadom is exactly the kind of guy that you need to keep around for now, especially with Bonyx, recovering from that ankle.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I know where I'll be entalled.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: And there's no reason to doubt it that he's going to be good to go.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, by me, right by the time the offseason training programs going around, but just in the event that there's a setback or whatever I'm knocking on wood is I say this you want a guy who can step in nosy offense veteran guy keep things going till bows fully ready to rock and roll at the same time, though.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be a free agent after 2026 and yes, they also brought back.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Stam Ellinger gave him two million bucks to return as the third.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: quarterback, but I'm not a hundred percent convinced that he's going to still be around by the time we get to, you know, mid-September, he's a guy.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: I could see potentially be entreated himself, depending on how some things unfold around the NFL.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's time that they draft a guy.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: And if they don't draft it, I don't mean high.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying he's a second round.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: You're second round pick or even your fourth round pick, but
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you got to fit.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: You got three seven throunders.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe one of those sevens.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: You earmark and prioritize for a developmental quarterback.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: There's a few intriguing options.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_02]: If you go to milehighhotel.com, Eric trickle broke this very topic down with an awesome article.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: Seven light round mid to late round quarterbacks.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos could look at.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: So we're not talking the it's a pretty weak quarterback class once you get past men doza.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: And so, you know, we're not talking about high round pick, but late round guy to come in and start developing.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: And so we'll see.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: We got D dove checking in from the top rope.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome dude.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: So good to see a much love and respect.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the support brother.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: He says I heard everyone is prepping for next year's draft as it is purportedly going to be loaded.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's what the draft nerds say.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's what Eric says, Nick, all those guys word on the street.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, everyone's like,
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: gearing up for that.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: I would not be surprised, Dale says, if we let go of a player, buy the trade deadline, depending on health.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: See you flying solo today, Chad, yes, sir.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos, faithful for life, MHH, dude.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: You're a legend, D.W. and you're a dear friend.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: and I appreciate, I appreciate your support and your insights.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: And as he says, I would not be surprised if we were to trade a player ahead of the deadline because of you trying to stockpile some picks because you're so stoked on the 2027 draft class.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: Which is part of the reason why the Broncos have been so conscientious
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: about that comp pick they're getting back for JFM, you know, if it's, if that class ends up being as deep as everyone thinks it is, a year from now we're all going to be damn glad they've stayed as disciplined as they did because they're going to, you know, reap the rewards in the draft, 2027 when it's a deeper class.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, but, you know, there's also that part of me Dale that can't help but wonder.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, well,
- 48:35[SPEAKER_02]: But next, he's only young and cheap for a couple more years.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_02]: So like, yeah, I get it next year.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: Straps are going to be deeper draft and all, but you got fish to fry this year.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have the horses?
- 48:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they do for the most part, but they can't be done.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, you let go of Drake Greenlaw.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: They saw last season that they needed all three of those linebackers in the rotation and maybe again they're betting on a Drew Sanders finally showing up and doing something or maybe they're betting on one of the you know recent undrafted guys, but I still think that would be a move they could make before the draft sign in the guy and if not draft in a lineback I think linebacker is very much on the table.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_02]: Even at the second round level that would be by the way if the Broncos use their second round pick on a linebacker
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: That linebacker would be the highest drafted linebackers since DJ Williams, who was a first round pick in oh four.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_02]: So they don't usually draft them high is my point here at linebacker, but there's going to be some guys right in that window where they're at the second round and they don't have a third now where they might not want to wait and risk a guy they like, not being there in the fourth.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: But D-Dub, love you buddy.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much for your support
- 49:55[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so Drew Sanders, he's still haunting Broncos Park, he's still there.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then you got LaVelle Bailey, you got Jordan Turner and Carina Reed.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: all returning.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: Two of those guys were undrafted rookies last year and then Bailey of course was undrafted the year before.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: So D-Dub one last super chat saying, and thank you bro.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: Seriously, your guys generosity, I'm telling you man, there's there's nothing like it.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: There's nothing like it in the sports realm.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_02]: Love you.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: D-Dub says haven't drafted yet, but already
- 50:35[SPEAKER_02]: Who knows what the roster looks like in September?
- 50:38[SPEAKER_02]: Good takes.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, very true.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_02]: You got to start.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: wondering how much cornerback actually factors in, at least thinking about it.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think it was PFF.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: Zach could have broken it down for it because he wrote the article for us.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_02]: But he had this article today, pro football focus talking about how their Broncos biggest remaining needs are tied in defensive line and what cornerback?
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: The latter of which they say could find quote-unquote competition for Riley Moss in the draft next year.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: But I think PFF's kind of tripping the Broncos.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's not to say they won't draft a corner, but they did that last year.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: They started preparing for the departure of Riley Moss.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_02]: The possibility of him leaving, because they could still resign him.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: But they started preparing for that last draft when they took Judea Baron.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: in the first round.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, great stuff.
