- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and his time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always I ask
- 0:05Speaker 1: that you join along with me in prayer. Have you
- 0:08Speaker 1: ever just been tired your body, your physical body, you've
- 0:12Speaker 1: been getting sleep, you just feel mentally or emotionally exhausted.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So that's kind of what I want to pray about,
- 0:20Speaker 1: because you know, life is happening and things are happening,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and you're just emotionally spent. So today I want to
- 0:26Speaker 1: pray that we can find that rest for our souls.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Heavenly Father, hear the name of Jesus Christ. In this
- 0:32Speaker 1: moment of stillness, we come before you if we can
- 0:35Speaker 1: be honest God well, weary, weary in spirit, warning heart,
- 0:39Speaker 1: and tired and our soul in our mind, our will,
- 0:43Speaker 1: our emotions. Life has felt like a storm lately, a
- 0:47Speaker 1: constant wave crashing over us, pushing and pulling us in
- 0:51Speaker 1: every direction. But right now, Lord, we just need you.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We need peace that goes beyond our human understanding. We
- 1:00Speaker 1: need your rest, your word says in Matthew eleven twenty eight.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and I will give you rest. So Father, here we
- 1:10Speaker 1: are just as we are, God, laying every burden at
- 1:15Speaker 1: your feet. The pressure we've been carrying, the silent battles
- 1:19Speaker 1: that no one knows about, the questions that haunt us
- 1:23Speaker 1: in the night, the fears that won't let us go. Lord,
- 1:25Speaker 1: we surrender them to you. God. We're tired of trying
- 1:29Speaker 1: to do it all on our own, tired of pretending
- 1:31Speaker 1: to be strong when we feel so weak. So Father,
- 1:34Speaker 1: we ask you now, quiet our souls. Let your spirit
- 1:38Speaker 1: wrap around us like a blanket of peace, calm the
- 1:41Speaker 1: anxious thoughts, silence the lies of the enemy, and remind
- 1:45Speaker 1: us that you are still in control. Teach us how
- 1:48Speaker 1: to rest, not just physically, but spiritually, to rest in
- 1:52Speaker 1: your promises, to rest in your faithfulness, to rest in
- 1:56Speaker 1: the truth that you are working all things out for
- 1:59Speaker 1: our good, even when we can't see it. Lord, help
- 2:02Speaker 1: us trust in You, to trust you enough to let go,
- 2:06Speaker 1: let go of the things that we're trying to hold on.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Help us to release what's not ours to carry. God,
- 2:13Speaker 1: we lay down the weight of comparison. We lay down
- 2:16Speaker 1: the weight of worry. We lay down the fear of future. God,
- 2:20Speaker 1: we lay down the guilt of our past. God, we
- 2:23Speaker 1: pick up your yo caause you said your yoke is
- 2:25Speaker 1: easy and your burden is like God. Let your peace, God,
- 2:29Speaker 1: our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus. Let your
- 2:32Speaker 1: joy become our strength. Let your love feel every empty place.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Let us rest God, knowing that you are our shepherd,
- 2:40Speaker 1: and we shall not want. And even when life gets
- 2:43Speaker 1: busy again, even when demands pull at us from every direction,
- 2:49Speaker 1: God remind us that rest is not found in a
- 2:52Speaker 1: place or a moment, but in you, Lord, we receive
- 2:56Speaker 1: your rest, We receive your peace, We receive see the
- 3:00Speaker 1: stillness that can only come from being in your presence.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Thank you for seeing us God, Thank you for carrying
- 3:07Speaker 1: us God, and thank you for never letting us go.
