Transcript
- 0:01Intellectual development is not the same as spiritual
- 0:05realization. The essence of Spiritual
- 0:08Development lies in the living experience of the truths of the
- 0:12spirit. Not in the mental understanding
- 0:16of Concepts. Thus, preeminence is placed on
- 0:20experience. Not reading the sages of The
- 0:24Vedic and punish attic times provided spiritual guidance
- 0:29through creation. In of an environment through
- 0:31example, and through guidance, for the thoughts emotions, vital
- 0:36energies, and physical development of the body with the
- 0:40focus on realization of the spiritual truths in their lives.
- 0:46Reading was not a focus for the disciples living in those times.
- 0:52As we advance into more recent times, we find that the
- 0:55development of the mental faculties and the general
- 0:59requirement for literacy with education focused on processes
- 1:04that require reading means that the conditions of Spiritual
- 1:08Development. Have also changed the entire
- 1:12idea of abandoning life in the world, to seek a spiritual guide
- 1:15in the forest. Where to spend a life in
- 1:18meditation in the caves has also been discarded.
- 1:23As a realization has come about. That spirituality is not about
- 1:27individual salvation solely, but also for transformation of one's
- 1:33life in society. And in the life of the world,
- 1:38some Seekers hold that reading is neither necessary nor
- 1:41beneficial And in some cases, they actually look down upon
- 1:47those who invest time in Reading.
- 1:50Other speakers, hold that reading is an extremely valuable
- 1:53Aid in achieving spiritual focus.
- 1:56And they in turn may look down upon those who have not
- 2:00developed their intellectual capacities in this direction.
- 2:05As with all things there's a truth within each.
- 2:08Standpoint reading can be useful.
- 2:11If it helps to tune the Consciousness toward the
- 2:14spiritual realizations, that are needed, and focuses the effort
- 2:19it can stand in the way of the Seeker.
- 2:21If it either distract from the need to realize the spirit in
- 2:25one's life, or if it creates an illusory form of Spiritual
- 2:30Development, that is based on the minds ability to create
- 2:34ideas. Some forms and convince itself
- 2:38that these are the true experiences.
- 2:42Similarly, those who deny the use of reading may be correct in
- 2:46their own sadhna to the extent, they are actually experiencing
- 2:51the deeper truths of the spirit and that is guiding them
- 2:55completely. But it is also possible that
- 2:58these Seekers may be caught up in an illusory world of Their
- 3:02Own. And without guidance May wander
- 3:05far away from the path by following after experiences,
- 3:11without in some cases, understanding the source and
- 3:14intention behind those experiences reading May and such
- 3:19cases, help to ground the individual and provide certain
- 3:24Guidance. The mother writes, quote always
- 3:30the most interesting cases for me have been those of People who
- 3:33had read nothing but who had a very Ardent aspiration and came
- 3:38to me saying, something funny as happened to me, I had this
- 3:42extraordinary experience. What could it mean truly?
- 3:45And then they describe a movement of vibration of force a
- 3:50light. Whatever.
- 3:51It might be, it depends on each one and they describe this, that
- 3:57it happened like that. And it came like that.
- 3:59And then this happened and then that and what it all mean, all
- 4:04this Then here one is on the right side when knows?
- 4:09That it is not an imagined experience that it is a sincere
- 4:13spontaneous one. And this always has a power of
- 4:18transformation much greater than the experience that was brought
- 4:22about by a mental knowledge. Disciple ass then mother.
- 4:28This means that it is better not to read.
- 4:33Mother responds on condition. That one truly has within
- 4:37himself, the order of aspiration.
- 4:41If you are born for this, for the yoga, and this is the thing,
- 4:45which dominates all your existence that you feel, yes,
- 4:49before knowing anything that you need to find something, which is
- 4:54in you. Then sometimes a word is enough,
- 4:58the conversation, which simply Orient you, it is enough.
- 5:03But for those who are seeking to grope, who are not absolutely
- 5:07sure who are pulled this way in that, have many interests in
- 5:12life, are not steady stabilized in their will for realization.
- 5:18It is very good to read because it puts them in touch with the
- 5:22subject, it gives them some interest in the thing.
