- 0:00Speaker 1: Right, Jeffrey cap Here's what we got. First pick Mendoza.
- 0:03Speaker 1: We knew Bailey made sense. They actually went Jeremiah Love.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Pause. They actually went Jeremiah Love at three. We were
- 0:10Speaker 2: not expecting. Carnal Tait was when we all got shocked.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We were expecting an r Bell resource sun these styles,
- 0:16Speaker 1: they go wide receiver for Cam, then we go Rvel.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Chiefs traded up to get Monsor Delayne then styles Tyson
- 0:23Speaker 1: second wide receiver off the board to the Saints. Fano
- 0:26Speaker 1: after the Browns traded down, and then Mauioah when the
- 0:30Speaker 1: Giants got their trade with Dexter Lawrence and the Bengals
- 0:34Speaker 1: Cowboys moved up to take Caleb downs. Malik Neighbors was
- 0:38Speaker 1: an absolute just frustration.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Caden Proctor goes at twelve.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Ty Simpson was the biggest shock, going thirteen to the Rams.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yojana at fourteen. Ruben Bain falls all the way to
- 0:51Speaker 1: fifteen for Tampa Bay Trays Bucks Sadiq goes sixteen to
- 0:56Speaker 1: the Jets. We knew the lines would go tackle Vikings
- 0:59Speaker 1: supprise with Caleb Banks going a little bit earlier than expected.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Monroe Freeling giving some protection there for Bryce Young and
- 1:07Speaker 1: then we just spoke.
- 1:07Speaker 2: To a Mackay Lemon, now the wide.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Receiver that will likely be the aj Brown replacement in
- 1:13Speaker 1: that new wide receiver room. Arizona State tackle goes to
- 1:17Speaker 1: Pittsburgh at twenty one, a perfect fit.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Mesador the pick at twenty two for the Chargers.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Malachi Lawrence rounds it out with downs for the Cowboys.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Concepcione gives some weaponry there for the Browns, and then
- 1:31Speaker 1: Dylan Thieneman Our Trevor is saying that that is the
- 1:35Speaker 1: steal of the draft there at twenty five, Rutledgit twenty six,
- 1:39Speaker 1: Johnson at twenty seven, lowbo look at all the trades
- 1:42Speaker 1: twenty six, seven, twenty nine, thirty all trades.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Chiefs go Peter.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Woods there to strengthen up to d line, and then
- 1:49Speaker 1: Omar Cooper Junior wraps up a pretty darn stellar draft for.
- 1:53Speaker 2: The New York Jets.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And then the last two picks there Keldrick Falk for
- 1:58Speaker 1: the Titans and they traded up and Jadarian Price be
- 2:02Speaker 1: running back for Seattle.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Is now our time to pick the winners of the draft.
- 2:07Speaker 1: This could be a player, this could be a team,
- 2:10Speaker 1: It could really be anything. Sigmund, why don't we start
- 2:13Speaker 1: with you. Who would you like to spotlight as your
- 2:15Speaker 1: winner of the draft.
- 2:17Speaker 3: So I'm going to say the Jets were great, but
- 2:20Speaker 3: I have to say Dylan Thingum in the Chicago Bears.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I just think that he went to a perfect spot.
- 2:24Speaker 3: This is a defense that loves the force turnovers, a
- 2:27Speaker 3: defense that likes to keep things multiple. I feel like
- 2:29Speaker 3: Dylan thenuman is going to have the ability to just
- 2:32Speaker 3: be a major difference maker for the Chicago Bears. So
- 2:35Speaker 3: for me, this is my big winner. You got a
- 2:37Speaker 3: top eight player in the class at number twenty five overall.
- 2:41Speaker 3: It was a position of need and it's the type
- 2:43Speaker 3: of player that allows you to continue to have one
- 2:46Speaker 3: of the one of the defense in the NFL that
- 2:49Speaker 3: creates the most turnovers. And when you are trying to
- 2:51Speaker 3: win a Super Bowl, which the Chicago Bears are, they
- 2:53Speaker 3: feel like they're close. You needed a player like this
- 2:55Speaker 3: and they got a player like this at twenty five.
- 2:57Speaker 3: So to me, the Chicago Bears and Dylan Thinumano both
- 3:00Speaker 3: of them big winners with this number twenty five over old.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Pick Malik Neighbors, who would you say is your big
- 3:05Speaker 1: winner of Draft Night?
- 3:06Speaker 2: One?
- 3:07Speaker 4: Personally, I gotta say us, Do you mean the four.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Of us in this room or do you mean the
- 3:12Speaker 2: New York Giants.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Giants for sure, I mean we got we got all
- 3:16Speaker 4: Bell Reese. I mean we just we traded away Bobby
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yep and Michael mcfaden went our last year with a list, Frank,
- 3:24Speaker 4: so we asked somebody else in that linebacker room. Without
- 3:27Speaker 4: the linebacker that we added, like you said, with the
- 3:31Speaker 4: defense that you know hardball runs, it'll be a great fit.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And then take Francis Malnoa.
- 3:37Speaker 4: And we just got rid of Vyn Roland last year.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Puts him right there at the guard position that feels
- 3:42Speaker 4: that role. So we're moving in the right direction. So
- 3:44Speaker 4: I feel like overuy, we won. We got our picks,
- 3:47Speaker 4: we got the right spots that we need to fill up,
- 3:49Speaker 4: and that was it, all right.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So he's taking the Giants attacking the trenches. Michael Parsons,
- 3:55Speaker 1: Who would you say was the big winner tonight?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Man?
- 3:57Speaker 5: I would say that, judge. I just think for where
- 4:00Speaker 5: they were at, they committed that they were tanking. They
- 4:03Speaker 5: knew where they were as an organization and said, hey,
- 4:06Speaker 5: we're going to let go of our best players and
- 4:09Speaker 5: we're going to get cheap, and we're going to attack
- 4:11Speaker 5: free agency. We're going to attack the draft, be aggressive.
- 4:15Speaker 5: And I'm actually like super proud because they're trying to
- 4:19Speaker 5: they're trying to help Aaron Glen. Usually don't see that
- 4:21Speaker 5: in organizations, you know what I mean. Like, they're giving
- 4:24Speaker 5: Aaron Glenn a real chance to coach a legitimate football team,
- 4:28Speaker 5: and I say he's on his way to getting that.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Do I say their.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Playoffs ready automatically?
- 4:35Speaker 3: No?
- 4:35Speaker 5: Because of the division in Drake May Josh Allen, it's
- 4:39Speaker 5: a very competitive division that they still have to go through.
- 4:44Speaker 5: But do you say, are they on their way this
- 4:46Speaker 5: next year? Because they still have a lot of draft
- 4:48Speaker 5: picks for next year and they still have uh, they
- 4:52Speaker 5: still have plenty of picks this year. Are they on
- 4:55Speaker 5: their way to being a competitive division? Competitive inner division?
- 4:59Speaker 5: I would say yes. So I think they took the
- 5:02Speaker 5: biggest step forward as an organization today for where they
- 5:06Speaker 5: started at.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Right. I think about the Jets.
- 5:08Speaker 1: They came in with two second round picks because of
- 5:10Speaker 1: the Quinn Williams trade.
- 5:12Speaker 2: They package one of them up to go up there
- 5:14Speaker 2: and get Omar Cooper Junior.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Pretty darn stellar all over the place because I've been
- 5:19Speaker 1: hanging around with Micah so much. Some of the winners Mendoza,
- 5:22Speaker 1: Tate and Downs because they're going to tax free states.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I didn't think about that. That's so much more money.
- 5:28Speaker 1: That's really great. But my big winner is the guy
- 5:31Speaker 1: we talked to early Ty Simpson talk about going to
- 5:34Speaker 1: the perfect spot if he would have gone to the
- 5:37Speaker 1: Jets or to the Cardinals.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Sure, you get to be the.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Guy right away, but you get to be behind Matt
- 5:43Speaker 1: Stafford and learning from Sean mcvayh in a no lose situation,
- 5:47Speaker 1: and you are.
- 5:48Speaker 2: A quarterback that is used to waiting.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So it's completely like the development continues in the perfect situation,
- 5:56Speaker 1: and we can look back at this the way we
- 5:57Speaker 1: do Jordan Love and the way we've looked at the
- 6:00Speaker 1: these other quarterbacks that get to wait. Patrick Mahomes played
- 6:03Speaker 1: one game his rookie year and it was a meaningless
- 6:06Speaker 1: week seventeen game.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Ty Simpson, do I think he's gonna be great? I
- 6:10Speaker 2: don't know, but I know he's in an awesome situation.
- 6:13Speaker 2: So those are our winners from round one.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Let's take a look at the best available players for
- 6:18Speaker 1: Night two. Night two tomorrow, we will bit a due
- 6:21Speaker 1: to my leak, neighbors and Michael Parsons Sigma, myself and
- 6:25Speaker 1: Connor Rogers.
- 6:26Speaker 2: We're gonna have the full stock exchange here.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Trevor, why don't you take me through the big board
- 6:31Speaker 1: best available for day two?
- 6:33Speaker 3: Honestly, guys, there's not a lot of like big shots.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I thought, Okay, maybe DeAngelo Ponds gets into the first round,
- 6:40Speaker 3: maybe Jacob Rodriguez gets in the first round, maybe Emmanuel
- 6:44Speaker 3: McNeil Warren, maybe Chase Besonti's but there's not anybody that's
- 6:47Speaker 3: like sitting here that I'm like, oh my gosh. I
- 6:49Speaker 3: never would have thought that this player was getting in
- 6:52Speaker 3: the second round. Obviously, Jamal McCoy being eight overall my
- 6:55Speaker 3: big board stands out. But he has the knee injury.
- 6:58Speaker 3: And then there was something else that kind of came
- 6:59Speaker 3: out in this past week where it was like, Okay,
- 7:01Speaker 3: now teams aren't worried about the knee that he had
- 7:04Speaker 3: surgically repaired. They're worried about the other knee that might
- 7:07Speaker 3: have issues that he might need to have a second surgery. So,
- 7:10Speaker 3: to be honest with you, it's not too shocking. But
- 7:13Speaker 3: I think a lot of these guys that are in
- 7:14Speaker 3: this group are gonna go pretty early. If you need
- 7:16Speaker 3: an interior offensive lineman, Chase Besantas is gonna go next.
- 7:19Speaker 3: The next linebacker is gonna be Jacob Rodriguez, did'angelo Pons.
- 7:23Speaker 3: He's gonna be where everybody's eyes go for where he goes.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I think Christian Miller, the defensive tackle from Georgia, is
- 7:29Speaker 3: such an underrated player. He's not the pass rusher that
- 7:32Speaker 3: you want to draft in the first round, but as
- 7:34Speaker 3: a defensive tackle who holds the line of scrimmage, defends
- 7:37Speaker 3: the run, I mean, he is one of my favorite
- 7:39Speaker 3: players in this class. He's actually my top interior defensive lineman.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Left you get a couple of other pages of guys
- 7:44Speaker 3: who are corners, linebackers, edge rushers. There's a lot of
- 7:49Speaker 3: fun names that are still left on the board. So
- 7:51Speaker 3: at the beginning of Day two, it's gonna move fast
- 7:54Speaker 3: because it's gonna be a lot of like, oh, they
- 7:55Speaker 3: got this guy in the second round, they got this
- 7:57Speaker 3: guy in the second round. There's gonna be a ton
- 7:59Speaker 3: of those reactions
- 7:59Speaker 1: To Trevor great not great job, tonight Man, really appreciate it.
