Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Welcome to Racer's Odds.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: I'm David Stiles.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: He's Andrew Curlin.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Tyler Reddick gets a much needed win out in the Valley of the Sun.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: And now the points are all shaken up as we have seven drivers within 56 points of the championship lead.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Kyle Larson's advantage is now down to just five.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: And Christopher Bell leapfrogs a couple of positions over Denny Hamlin into second place.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Andrew, a lot of wild and wacky things out west happened last week, and now we go to the wild card of them all, the high banks of Talladega.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: What are you looking forward to as we get ready to go to our last super speedway race of the 2026 season?
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: You alluded to it.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: The points.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: I can't wait to see how the points end up changing after Talladega.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I think, you know, you mentioned it, seven drivers within 56 points of one another.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: I actually think that gap after Talladega gets bigger.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Um and I think we're actually going to have less players.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: We're going to have fewer than seven really that we're going to consider a shot with a shot for the final two races because there's going to be carnage, there's going to be chaos.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: But with that said, Kyle Larson, I mean, how could you not have all eyes on him?
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: He's the point leader going into Talladega where he has just been god awful.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Kyle Larson is just not good here at this racetrack.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: It's one of his worst average finishes.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: Um he finished 40th in this race earlier in the spring.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Uh, he's got 23 starts, and it just has not been any sort of upside for Kyle Larson.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: So the big thing is can he maintain the points lead?
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: He's got five over the other drivers.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: There's going to be drivers that you know are capable of controlling these stages in this race.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: I'm curious to see who lets those teams do that, and and if anyone can control it.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: So as you can tell, I've got more questions than I've got answers.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Going into Tail of the Day, and that's what's fun about it.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: And the odds also reflect that.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: A lot of drivers in the you know, bet to win them column.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: They're all plus a thousand.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: This is really one of those weeks where you can throw the dart at the board and whoever you hit, it might pay off for you.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: There's just no rhyme or reason for who will win this race, but I have an inclination.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: We we not a guy that we've talked about a whole lot in recent weeks, and he's kind of doing his own thing.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna save him for you know my bet to win the race when we get a little bit further into this, but I'm going to start with a fairly safe bet that I think is good money this week.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Will the race go into overtime?
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Last time we were here for this race, there were six cautions.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: The record for cautions out of Talladega Cup Series race is 13.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: That was back in October of 2020 for a triple overtime race that we had in the old playoff system.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: You can bet this bet on Caesars will the race go to overtime, it's plus 110.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: I think that's a pretty solid bet.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: It's close to 50-50, but it's on the plus side with plus money.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: I think that one's that one's pretty doable.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I'll put a few units on it.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Andrew, your thoughts.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I will take the opposite.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna say no.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Um I and we talked about this on Fast Talk.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Will we see multi uh digit number of cautions?
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And I don't think we will.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: I I I really think that you're gonna need to go for everything, and a win means so much, especially at this stage in the postseason, but I still think drivers are gonna be calculating risk versus reward, and I don't know why.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: I just have a feeling we're gonna see a tame race.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: I really hope I am wrong.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: I think obviously the new package is gonna help some, the new spilers are gonna help uh drivers be able to maneuver and move through the pack.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Um, the biggest feedback that I heard after Daytona was, yeah, there's still fuel saving, but you could make moves while fuel saving.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: So um I don't know.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: With all that said, I still think we're gonna see somewhat of a tame race, and this is my long roundabout way of saying I'm gonna take the other side of that bet, Dave, and I'm gonna say no overtimes.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Well, there you go.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: I also think that we'll see stage points be very valuable, and so the racing at the end of the stages could get very competitive and could shade this race with a very chaos type complexion as we get further into it.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: So I think there will be a good number of cautions, and I think there will be overtime because you have to balance that out.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: There may be some guys who didn't get the stage points in the first two stages, and now they've they need the points at the end to win, and all bets are off.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: All the gloves will come off when we get down to the end of a super speedway race, and everyone's gonna get really selfish, and we're also getting down to the end of the year.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: There and everyone is gonna be take, take, take instead of give, give, give.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: With that being said, we do know that there are a couple of guys that will have the ability to give more than they're taking, and that will be a few of the teammates for Kyle Larson.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, they can get him up to the front.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: However, Chase Elliott and William Byron are very, very good at this racetrack, and Chase Elliott has two wins here.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna go ahead and go over to our matchups, and Caesars has done something that is very hard on everyone that's betting this week.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: They've taken these guys and they've put them together.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: So everybody that you think, well, they'd be pretty good.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: Like I'd take them in a matchup.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: They've put all of them in matchups together, and there's no real clut, cut, clear favorite for you to pick.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: And so the first one that we'll look at is Elliott versus Byron.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: Byron is favored at minus 120, Elliott at minus 110, but Chase Elliott has two wins here.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: William Byron yet to win at this racetrack.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: So I will actually put the units on Chase Elliott.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I think that they'll be pretty strong this week, and he runs really good at super speedways.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I uh I'm curious to see what Hendrick will do for Kyle Larson this weekend.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Um, specifically just looking at the players that are still in this thing.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: We've got a bunch of Toyotas in the in the Gibbs cars minus Ty Gibbs.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: We've got the Penske cars, we have Tyler Radik in the 2311, and then out here on an island is Kyle Larson in his Chevrolet.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: So um I'm curious, you know, with those matchups, David, I I would just be more interested to see how it plays out because will one of those guys sacrifice their own race to be a good teammate to Kyle Larson and bring home Mr.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: H a championship?
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, I still think a win's a win, and you're gonna go for it, whether you are last in the Chase standings or first, no matter who you are.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Um, but it is interesting, and that's why I just don't know where to approach any of the Chevrolets, because Toyotas all have something they're individually fighting for.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Same with the Fords and the Chevies.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: It's almost like I wonder if there's gonna be a collective movement of we're all team Kyle Larson this week and a Taladega.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Well, the other thing, too, that we've talked about this, you know, off-mic and and in different areas, but no one is mathematically eliminated yet.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: All 16 drivers are still mathematically in this hunt for a championship.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: So Chase Elliott he needs he needs wins in the worst way possible.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Both of these tracks this week and next week line up really well for him.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: And as you said, we may see the top of this points leading you know get shook up even further because the top seven are within sixty points of one another.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: So there's still a possibility that one of the guys from eighth on back to sixteenth could make a run, and Chase Elliott might be that guy.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: I don't think that it's going to happen, but it's still mathematically possible.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: He has a lot of ground to make up, but I like Elliott over Byron in that matchup.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: Another one we talked about, you talked about the Toyotas, Bell versus Hamlin.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Hamlin has not been very good on super speedway tracks in this generation of race car.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Christopher Bell has been very solid at all of the super speedways that we go to, as long as he can keep the car clean.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: He seems to be at the end of these races, which is a very valuable thing.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: He also has a number of top fives at Talladega, no wins.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: So I will put money on Christopher Bell over Denny Hamlin, both of those drivers minus 115 this week, but I think Bell will be a little bit stronger.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: And I think Hamlin's starting to fade just ever so slightly as we get further uh towards the end of the year.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: I would agree with that, actually.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it is about Denny as of late.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: I just all the faith and trust in him as someone who's trying to predict these races, I feel like with Denny's going out the window because they're just too unpredictable right now.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: You don't know what the heck is gonna happen.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: And Taladig is not the weekend to start believing in Denny Hamlin again, if that makes sense.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's got three-day Tona 500s to his name, but I also think that there is just some weird stuff going on in this chase with the 11 team.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: I want to read you the spring results from our top seven in-the-point standings.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Kyle Larson in the spring finished 40th.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Christopher Bell finished 17th.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: Now, here's why you should also like that Bell bet, David, by the way, is he led 31 laps, second in stage two.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: So talk about controlling a race.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: Bell kind of did that in the spring.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Didn't get the end result that he wanted, but leading laps is leading laps.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Chis Briscoe, 29th, although he is the defending winner of this race.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Denny Hamlin, 15th.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: Denny led 28 laps, but as you said, no next gen wins at drafting tracks.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Ryan Blaney, 37th.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: Uh Joey Logano, 39th, and Tyler Reddick, 14th.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: So none of these chase drivers really have a whole lot of confidence, I feel like, going into Talladega based on their last results.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Obviously, if you get caught in an accident, that's what happens.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: That one had like the huge accident that basically caught everybody in it.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: But I say all this to say that um if these are gonna be the results that we see this weekend, uh, it's gonna be interesting.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: I fully agree.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: And there's one bet on Caesars that I'm staying away from because I feel like if you pick one of those two drivers in that matchup, you might as well just bet on them to win the race.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: They've put Logano and Ryan Blaney together in a matchup.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: Stay away from that.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: That's hard to pick.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: That's a flip of the coin.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: They're both at minus 115.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: If you feel ever so slightly better about one guy than the other, then yeah, put a few units on it.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: Me, I'm staying away from it this week.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: I think they'll both be very, very good, but I I'm not gonna pick one of those guys over the other because I think they both have a puncher's chance of winning this race, and I think they'll be very dominant, but they're gonna be going after stage points just like the top seven are to try to make up this gap against Kyle Larson.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: So the next driver uh matchup that I have is Tyler Redick versus Brad Keslowski.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: If you remember, way, way back earlier in the year, I have Brad Keslowski to get more than half of a win.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: So I still need Keslowski to win a race.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: He's won six times here at Talladega.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: I don't think it's gonna happen this weekend, but this is his last best shot.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: So if it will happen, it will happen.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: So with that being said, I'm gonna take Tyler Reddick in the matchup.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: So that's a little counterintuitive.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: Whoa.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: But I think Tyler Reddick is very good at these super speedways, and and that will kind of even myself out.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: So if Keslowski wins, I'll get the payday for him winning the race.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: And then Redick, if he does better than Keslowski, then I'll win that bet.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: So I'm kind of playing myself in two different areas here, but I like Reddick a little bit better than Keslowski.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: He's got a ton of momentum right now.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: And he also is one of those drivers that even if the car is a little bit damaged, he seems to be there at the end of the race at these super speedway tracks.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Brad Keslowski's tied for the second best uh odds you can get at a race winner plus 1400.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: Now that's a lot, but everyone's gonna be a lot here at Teladega.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: I was interested to see what you were uh what your thoughts were about uh Brad Kazlowski.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: One guy I want to bring up, and I'm gonna champion him, is Zane Smith finished fifth in the spring, ninth at this race one year ago.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: He has there's just something about him that just really feels underrated when it comes to Talladega.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: I love the front row cars whenever we get to the style of racetrack, and he's someone that I think I actually haven't even looked at top 10 finish, but if I scroll down here for Zayn Smith, I gotta keep going.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Oh, plus 300.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Plus 300 for a top 10.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Still not bad.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: That's something I would be interested and willing to take.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: A poll winner, plus 4,500 if you want to bet him to win.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: And remember, he's going for broke.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: So it could be interesting.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: Nothing to lose.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: Nothing to lose.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: Any of these guys outside the top 16, they're going for W's.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: It doesn't, it doesn't matter.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: This is this racetrack, everyone's even.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Anyone can win it.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: The last matchup that I have, I've had four of these Suarez versus Bowman.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: So Bowman not in the chase.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: Suarez is in the chase, but he also runs really well at Super Speedway style tracks.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: I think that the Spire cars will be very good this weekend.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: They seem to have a knack for this kind of track.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: So I like Suarez over Bowman at minus 110.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Bowman's at minus 120.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: So that'll round out my matchups.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: And then we also had that overtime bet.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: So what are you thinking along those lines, Andrew?
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: I mean, Suarez versus Bowman.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Bowman pushed Carson Hosovar to a win the last time we were here, but those Spire cars, they just seem to have it figured out at this style of racetrack.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I can see why we put him in a matchup because even as you're asking me that question, I'm going back and forth.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: For the sake of uh interest, I like what you said in Daniel Suarez and these spire cars having something figured out at these speedways.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: I think Alex Bowman, I don't know, there might be just a little bit more going on there with Bowman and Hendrick and Larson and the Chevies, and I know Suarez is a Chevy as well.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: I just I'm more interested to see how the team orders play out this weekend, and that's why I want to stay away from Alex Bowman.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: Well, we're effectively doing that by betting Suarez.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: So there you go.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: We're, you know, it's one of those things.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: Now for race winner, I think if you're feeling froggy, you take the previous winner from the spring and you bet him.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: I think Carson Hosevart plus 1600 is not a bad bet for a tally.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: Who's gonna help him though?
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: I think that if he can get all the other spire cars up there together, I think that they'll work well together.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: He may not get pushed to the wind, but if he can control the race, we've seen it happen a couple of times before.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: If he gets up towards the front, he will make things happen regardless if he has help or not.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: So he will put that car in in weird spaces just to try to get an advantage.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: So if you're feeling froggy about it, I think Josevar to win at plus sixteen hundred is not a bad bet, but it is a little risky.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: I you have fun with it.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: I I don't see it.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: And it's just because, yeah, he can control a race, but who in this field is going to want to push Carson to a win?
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: And that's my biggest uh hesitation with that is no one's gonna want to help the guy that doesn't help them.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: Uh if you're a Spirecar, maybe.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Um, but we also saw Daniel Suarez came oh so close to winning at Daytona and and made some gutsy moves to get there.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: So I even think if it's teammate on teammate coming to the line that they're both gonna race each other for the win.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: And that's where I just have a hard time seeing Hosevar unfortunately win at these style of racetracks, is just because I don't think he's got any friends out there.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: That's my biggest fear.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: For talking race winner, um I like the two favorites.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: I do like the Penske cars.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: I like a Ford, I feel like they can control a race, and when it comes down to it, um they both know how to get it done at Talladega and Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, even author, Austin Sindrick in there are all experts, I feel like, at this type of racing, and that's why I'm I'm I'm gonna go with one of the Penske cars.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: I like that bet.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: I I'm just I'm you know, let's burn the boats.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: I like Carson Hosevar just because it's Carson Hosevar.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: I think it'd be interesting.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: But all of those Penske drivers, they have wins at this track.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: So all three of them very, very good and they work well together and they know how to push one another.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: So I I like that a lot.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: I think if you're if you're not wanting the carnage and chaos that that I am wanting with picking a Hosevar bet, I think picking one of those two drivers to win the race is actually a pretty solid decision.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: I would stay away from the matchup because I think your juice is better squeezed by picking the winner versus betting on them at minus odds for minus 115 as they're matched up together.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: So those are just my thoughts.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: Do what you want with your units, but uh this one's a wild card.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: Just throw the darts at the board and see what happens.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: So let's let's get into pick'em.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: I had a pretty good week last week.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: Ryan uh Ryan Blaney came in second.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: I was pretty close to getting a win, but you know, we'll we'll take it.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: 48 points for me.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Uh cut into the lead just a little bit.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: Uh Andrew, you had Ross Chastain.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: He did pretty well also.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: He finished ninth, got some stage points for me, got me 31 points.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: So I didn't score as many as you, but um I think I was able to keep the damage as much to a minimum as possible.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: I've got 180 points on you, so you're not mathematically eliminated yet, but now it's time for some real Hail Marys, David.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: Well, if you do the math, I've got three races.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: I've got to make up 60 points.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: That's the average that I need to make up over the next three races.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: I don't know if it's gonna happen.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: I think you may have this thing locked up with one race to go if we if things go poorly for me over the next two.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to basically pick three winners.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that that's that's what we're down to.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: But you get to pick first.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: I scored the most points last week.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: That's something that's uh not accustomed to you because you typically score way more points than I do.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Last two weeks have been the first guy to pick.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Um I am going to go with the guy that I mentioned is going for his third straight top ten at this racetrack.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: Give me Zayn Smith.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: I've had him, I've saved him from Talladega too all year long, and I'm finally able to see this one through.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: Not a huge fan of this guy, but when you need him, he seems to show up sometimes when you least expect it.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Give me Chase Elliott, that nine team, Alan Guffeson.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: I think they'll be pretty solid this weekend at Talladega.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: He runs really well here.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: So uh yeah, give me old Clyde and we'll we'll roll with him.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Former Talladega winner.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: So uh hey, you know what?
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: You're right, and you said it exactly.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Chase Elliott shows up at the most random times, and what more of a random time would it be than him getting a win when it's already too late?
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: That would be the sweet end for Chase.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's he's he's way behind minus 149 points from the leader.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: So he a lot of ground to make up, but uh, you know, you never know.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: He could go on a run right here.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: He's he's good at Talladega, he'll be good at Martinsville, I think.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: That seems to be two of his better tracks.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: But I I like him for this weekend at uh at Talladega, and I think that they'll they'll run pretty competitively.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: So we've only got three races left.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: This season has flown by.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: Uh what are your what are your thoughts so far on on how we've been doing on our betcasting show this year?
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's been interesting to try to sum up the field in this way.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: I think it it has allowed me, I think, to get a little bit more in-depth uh during the race week leading up into the races as who's gonna be good, who's not.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Um it's real fun when you're right, and uh I've mostly enjoyed pick'em.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Obviously, I've grown a points lead, but we're part of a bigger league that you do this, and I'm already making notes for next year.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: Who do I gotta make sure I set aside for this race?
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Because they're really good at this race last year, and and so on.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: So um I do really enjoy that fantasy style aspect to it.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Well, the bet book, we've pretty good on the bet book.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: If you've bet all the bets that I have done this season, you're almost plus 300 at the same if you bet the same amounts that I have bet.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: So we've been right more often than we've been wrong, which I think is good for the brand, but you know, we're we're we're giving you good info.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: So make sure to tune in next week and and we'll do the same as we get ready to uh go to Martinsville after Talladega, and we're running out of races.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: The season's coming to a close on us pretty quick.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: So uh a lot of fun has been had here this year, and we'll just soldier on.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: As always, it's about trying to grow that bankroll and inject some fun into these races every weekend.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: And you know, it's just it's just what we do.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: It's just how we do it.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: And uh we've been pretty successful.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: So for Andrew Curland, I'm David Styles.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: We'll talk again next week.
