- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Israel goody Eras
- 0:22Speaker 1: cannot stop laughing. Let's go to Sherman Oaks quickly here
- 0:27Speaker 1: because Dan Meyer, I saw you speaking.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Well, I shouldn't go.
- 0:33Speaker 4: To one time.
- 0:35Speaker 5: I don't think now's the time.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yes, I saw him speaking words, trying to deliver a
- 0:39Speaker 1: sports update. I just didn't hear the update. What is
- 0:42Speaker 1: going on there in Sherman Oaks today, Dan.
- 0:45Speaker 6: He still doesn't have the laughs.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I still lived there anyway.
- 0:50Speaker 6: Try to tell you you don't take it.
- 0:52Speaker 5: You don't take it so funny.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Oh god.
- 0:55Speaker 1: So eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, mikey A
- 0:58Speaker 1: is off today. It is me Israel goody Eras at
- 1:01Speaker 1: Taylor in studio. We think the guys out in Sherman
- 1:04Speaker 1: Oaks will join us at some point. We're not one
- 1:07Speaker 1: hundred percent certain. I'm not even confident Taylor right now
- 1:10Speaker 1: to fire off a think about It Thursday.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know what to do. I love Thursdays,
- 1:19Speaker 3: do you?
- 1:21Speaker 5: Friday is so closed and we get to think about
- 1:23Speaker 5: things and every once in a while you get to laugh.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yes, Dan Byer is very serious. He's professional. He is
- 1:28Speaker 1: not happy. I see him screaming at people at Sherman Oaks.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I mean, God, what I would not.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Give to hear? What the hell is that? Iowa Sam
- 1:36Speaker 1: leaves and everything falls apart?
- 1:39Speaker 5: Yeah? I mean who knew? Who knew? We needed? I
- 1:42Speaker 5: was Sam so badly?
- 1:43Speaker 3: Yes, happy football season too?
- 1:45Speaker 4: Is he?
- 1:46Speaker 6: Wow?
- 1:46Speaker 5: Is that today?
- 1:47Speaker 4: Huh? Yeah?
- 1:48Speaker 1: The Hall of Fame game, if you want to call
- 1:49Speaker 1: it football, it is today. The Hall of Fame Game
- 1:52Speaker 1: is today, Taylor. Do we have the ability for wardot
- 1:56Speaker 1: Ricardo to fire off the imaging for think about It Thursday?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Or do I have to rely on Sherman Oaks So.
- 2:02Speaker 7: Chris, Chris Purfect has to has to play it. But
- 2:04Speaker 7: he knows that that it's coming.
- 2:07Speaker 1: So okay, But is anything working over there? I mean, back, baby,
- 2:13Speaker 1: look at that.
- 2:14Speaker 5: We're not all right?
- 2:15Speaker 3: Chris? Give it to me.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Let's think about it on a Thursday. Here, give me
- 2:18Speaker 1: the give me the open please.
- 2:22Speaker 2: You know that segment said talk about it tuesdayday, Crowder
- 2:25Speaker 2: and this is like this is like that, but bigger
- 2:29Speaker 2: figure man better better, And forty eight hours later late
- 2:33Speaker 2: they see it, they see it, think about it the
- 2:36Speaker 2: first stairsday?
- 2:38Speaker 1: All right, we do this segment every single week on
- 2:40Speaker 1: a Thursday. Why it's both think about It Thursday. It
- 2:44Speaker 1: is Taylor's attempt to counterprogram a local show down here
- 2:47Speaker 1: in Miami, Hawkman, Slero, and Crowder.
- 2:51Speaker 3: So what are we thinking about today?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Taylor?
- 2:54Speaker 7: So spider Man Brand New Day is out and if
- 2:56Speaker 7: you didn't see the last movie, the premise is after
- 2:59Speaker 7: doctor stream cast the spell, the entire world forgets that
- 3:03Speaker 7: Peter Parker is spider Man. Right, So that brings us
- 3:06Speaker 7: to today's think about It Thursday. If you could erase
- 3:09Speaker 7: one moment from all of sports history, wow, and make
- 3:13Speaker 7: everyone forget it ever happened?
- 3:15Speaker 4: Right?
- 3:16Speaker 7: What would it be?
- 3:18Speaker 1: So you're erasing one moment in sports history? I think
- 3:21Speaker 1: the listeners would be in on this eight seven seven
- 3:23Speaker 1: ninety nine on Fox. That is eight seven seven ninety
- 3:27Speaker 1: nine on Fox. If the phones are working out in
- 3:30Speaker 1: Sherman Oaks, We're not sure. So we're erasing one moment
- 3:33Speaker 1: in sports history. It completely goes away.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Is that what you're saying.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Yes, that's what he said. Nobody has ever remembered that happened.
- 3:42Speaker 5: It just goes away. Now, this isn't a follow up question.
- 3:45Speaker 3: This is just than.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Just trying to make it a little bit more understandable. Sure,
- 3:50Speaker 5: so most people would think it would be something that
- 3:53Speaker 5: would benefit you and your you know, your favorite team.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Sure so, mostly it would be you know, I would
- 4:00Speaker 5: go to a place where, hey, if said rival was
- 4:05Speaker 5: never as good as they could be, if I could
- 4:07Speaker 5: take away one thing to make that rival not be
- 4:10Speaker 5: as good as they were, then I would do that
- 4:12Speaker 5: because it would help my team.
- 4:13Speaker 3: All right, right, yes, yes, can I erase the Jets
- 4:16Speaker 3: all of it?
- 4:17Speaker 7: I mean, you can erase the moment you became a
- 4:19Speaker 7: Jets fan.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I don't want to do that. That was a good
- 4:21Speaker 3: moment for me.
- 4:21Speaker 7: Yeah, But if you erased the moment you became a
- 4:24Speaker 7: Jets fan, that then erases whatever it is, you know,
- 4:28Speaker 7: fifty years of Jets Harper.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So I erased the day my dad took me and
- 4:32Speaker 1: my brother to our first football game Shay Stadium. Joe
- 4:35Speaker 1: Walton was the coach, Richard Todd was the quarterback Wesley Walker.
- 4:38Speaker 3: They were just good enough to suck this kid in.
- 4:42Speaker 7: So you erase a very positive memory.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you're doing it.
- 4:45Speaker 7: It's kind of you lose the battle, but then you
- 4:47Speaker 7: win the war.
- 4:48Speaker 1: All right, But does my dad take me to my
- 4:50Speaker 1: first Giants game with my brother?
- 4:52Speaker 8: Where?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Like, how does that work?
- 4:53Speaker 5: Well, we're not rewriting his Okay, similar portion of his.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I'd like to know if I erase one part of
- 5:00Speaker 1: my history, Like, what do I get in exchange for history?
- 5:04Speaker 7: You never know what what web you're gonna pull on?
- 5:07Speaker 3: All right, So here is is that the thing? Huh?
- 5:10Speaker 5: Here's one ample. I'm gonna throw this out as an example,
- 5:15Speaker 5: but it's not gonna be my answer. Not that we
- 5:17Speaker 5: have to limit ourselves to one answer. Okay, I would
- 5:20Speaker 5: like to erase the moment that the Patriots drafted Tom Brady. Wow,
- 5:28Speaker 5: I wish that had never happened, which I'm assuming gat
- 5:30Speaker 5: on alone. Yes, I'm assuming that means somebody else drafts
- 5:33Speaker 5: Tom Brady. But you know, there's no way he could
- 5:35Speaker 5: have recreated what he did with Bill Belichick somewhere else
- 5:38Speaker 5: necessarily well, in the fifth or sixth round. Right, You're right,
- 5:41Speaker 5: sixth round.
- 5:41Speaker 1: So there's no guarantee all those teams had passed on
- 5:44Speaker 1: him five or six times at that point.
- 5:46Speaker 3: There's no guarantee he gets.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Drafted, right, and if he doesn't get drafted, man he
- 5:49Speaker 5: either becomes the greatest undrafted player in all the sports history,
- 5:53Speaker 5: or more than likely, he just kind of falls through
- 5:54Speaker 5: the cracks, never becomes much of anything. And maybe just
- 5:58Speaker 5: maybe my Miami Dolphins some level of success during the
- 6:01Speaker 5: Tom Brady.
- 6:02Speaker 1: There are many fan bases who I'm certain would like
- 6:04Speaker 1: to erase that as well, every one in the AFCs,
- 6:07Speaker 1: the Falcons.
- 6:10Speaker 5: That's probably very high up on the list. Like or
- 6:13Speaker 5: you could go with a single moment, you could say,
- 6:16Speaker 5: and you see a theme developing here for me, if
- 6:19Speaker 5: the tuck rule situation never happened, right, right, if the
- 6:23Speaker 5: Raiders go ahead and somehow win that game, Yeah, maybe
- 6:27Speaker 5: maybe the Patriots don't even keep Tom Brady as their starter.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Maybe they're looking somewhere else for their starter, and maybe
- 6:33Speaker 5: that dynasty doesn't ruin my entire fandom when it comes
- 6:37Speaker 5: to football.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Because Brady replaced bloodsoe. So you're saying, maybe it's just Bloodsoe.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Maybe they go back to Bledsoe. Maybe they look for,
- 6:44Speaker 5: you know, somebody they draft in the first round as
- 6:46Speaker 5: opposed to a sixth rounder at their next big quarterback.
- 6:48Speaker 7: Yes, so what you guys are doing, I think are
- 6:50Speaker 7: two different games. You guys are playing. Well, let me
- 6:53Speaker 7: rewrite history. Yeah, you're just forgetting a moment.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Right, But if I forget if that moment, if.
- 6:59Speaker 7: You forget that the Patriots drafted Tom Brady, then you're
- 7:03Speaker 7: just forgetting everything about the Patriots during the Tom Brady right.
- 7:07Speaker 5: So as the results of the ray come at one moment.
- 7:09Speaker 7: Somebody isn't becoming a new champion then, but you're just forgetting.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You're just by extension. If Brady never makes it to
- 7:17Speaker 1: the NFL and you're.
- 7:18Speaker 7: Raised getting the years that Tom Brady won in New England.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Doesn't seem like a big enough payoff.
- 7:25Speaker 5: But mean, yeah, all right, so Taylor, give me an example.
- 7:29Speaker 1: But it stands to reason if Brady's not drafted, then
- 7:32Speaker 1: six other teams or maybe one other team who.
- 7:34Speaker 7: Knows Brady still gets drafted. Right, everybody just forgets about
- 7:39Speaker 7: Tom Brady's existence. That's the difference. Okay, Like like mine,
- 7:44Speaker 7: for instance, Okay, yes, two thousand and four, I want
- 7:47Speaker 7: to forget Red Sox Yankees Game seven, where the Red
- 7:50Speaker 7: Sox complete the three to Oh you just want.
- 7:52Speaker 1: To three ye come back. It's still happening. You just
- 7:55Speaker 1: want to forget it.
- 7:55Speaker 7: It still happens.
- 7:57Speaker 5: You're just wow. So you're erasing it from your memory.
- 8:00Speaker 5: You're not erasing the moment from sports history, which is
- 8:03Speaker 5: the line I'm.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Reading right here. Yes, totally different game and very confusing.
- 8:08Speaker 7: Yep, you're erasing it from sports history.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Okay, Well, I don't want to erase the day my
- 8:12Speaker 1: dad took me to my first football game Chase Stadium.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I mean, I don't want to erase that day. It
- 8:17Speaker 3: was a great day. I enjoyed that day.
- 8:19Speaker 5: I think Dan Bier wants to erase the opening of
- 8:21Speaker 5: the show. Can he talk?
- 8:24Speaker 3: Though, No, that's testing it.
- 8:26Speaker 8: That was gonna be my joke. Well, and I don't
- 8:31Speaker 8: even have anything to contribute.
- 8:34Speaker 3: You were going to erase the last nine minutes of your.
- 8:36Speaker 8: Life, at least sixty seconds of it.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Wait, for instance, in this game, Dan Bayer is a
- 8:42Speaker 7: Seahawks fan. He probably wishes he could erase the Malcolm
- 8:47Speaker 7: Butler interception game That game still happens. He just forgets
- 8:51Speaker 7: the moment.
- 8:52Speaker 3: But what's the point of erasing it if it still happens.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Yeah, somebody's gonna remind you it happened somewhere.
- 8:58Speaker 7: Everybody forgets it.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Okay, then it's but it still happens. They just forgot it.
- 9:01Speaker 5: So we're playing a game of uh, you guys.
- 9:05Speaker 8: I think it's Bill Banner, like I think it's Bill
- 9:07Speaker 8: Buckner in this The Mets can win the World Series,
- 9:09Speaker 8: but we forget Buckner makes the gaff and lets the
- 9:12Speaker 8: ball go through his legs.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yes, I think that's one of my greatest memories in
- 9:16Speaker 1: the history of sports.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I mean, but you wouldn't be fine as a Mets fan.
- 9:20Speaker 8: It's just that Buckner is the Red Sox became the
- 9:24Speaker 8: focal points of it.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Right.
- 9:26Speaker 7: Is playing this game the right way?
- 9:28Speaker 3: Because the saw Spider Man in that same vein Dan.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Cubs fans wish they could erase the Steve Bartman memory.
- 9:35Speaker 5: I oh, sure, I would remind them so much. I
- 9:38Speaker 5: would forgot. Yeah, but I could. I have My brain
- 9:41Speaker 5: would work so hard to remember that that I would overcome.
- 9:43Speaker 3: It's hurt if you would try to jart back into
- 9:45Speaker 3: their memories.
- 9:46Speaker 5: I'd be like, moistless, don't you remember what happened?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Come on, but I don't remember, No, you do.
- 9:55Speaker 5: I would like to forget that on my Florida Gator
- 10:00Speaker 5: Championship football teams. I would like to forget that Aaron
- 10:03Speaker 5: Hernandez killed somebody and that's been meyer with interesting.
- 10:06Speaker 7: That was playing the game.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Now you've seen Spider Man. Let's go out to Jim.
- 10:12Speaker 1: He's in Montana today, Jim, go ahead, you're on Fox
- 10:15Speaker 1: Sports Radio.
- 10:18Speaker 9: Well, I would like to forget the eighty five Chicago Bears.
- 10:24Speaker 9: I want to forget the Bears shuffle. I want to
- 10:28Speaker 9: forget Jim McMahon, get to Buddy Ryan, all of them.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Forget Packer fan or what's going on.
- 10:36Speaker 9: Absolutely not Viking fah Okay, that makes sense.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Erasing the eighty five Bears. One of the great teams.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Thank you for the call, Jim. We appreciate it. One
- 10:46Speaker 1: of the great teams in NFL history. Jim's playing the
- 10:48Speaker 1: game the right way he saw Spider Man.
- 10:51Speaker 5: I think all of Argentina would love if people forgot
- 10:56Speaker 5: the Diego Maradona hand of God goal, because then they're
- 11:00Speaker 5: winning of that World Cup seems so much more legitimate, right.
- 11:03Speaker 5: They didn't beat England by you know, slapping the ball
- 11:06Speaker 5: into the net.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So I was going to erase Kevin Durant deciding to
- 11:09Speaker 1: go to Golden State. But I'm just erasing it from
- 11:12Speaker 1: my memory. Nothing happened. He doesn't stay in Oklahoma City. Correct,
- 11:16Speaker 1: he still goes to Golden State.
- 11:19Speaker 7: But nobody remembers.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Right, I'm not playing the game.
- 11:21Speaker 5: You don't remember how he got there. And he's there,
- 11:23Speaker 5: spider Man, I swear to God last year he was
- 11:25Speaker 5: in Oklahoma City.
- 11:26Speaker 3: What happened?
- 11:27Speaker 1: Everybody, Spider Man. Let's go to Alan in New Mexico today. Alan,
- 11:32Speaker 1: go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 11:35Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm My biggest thing is I would love to
- 11:38Speaker 10: erase this fact that Jimmy Johnson, released from the Cowboys
- 11:43Speaker 10: after two Super Bowls, could go for the three pt
- 11:47Speaker 10: and just that's the biggest one I could ever think of.
- 11:53Speaker 3: All right, but you're still one one with Barry Switzer.
- 11:55Speaker 5: I mean, and you'd be very confused. Yeah, you could have, right,
- 12:01Speaker 5: but again you'd still be very confused because you went
- 12:03Speaker 5: to sleep and Jimmy Johnson was the coach and you
- 12:05Speaker 5: woke up and nothing changed. But hey, now, we've got
- 12:08Speaker 5: Barry Switzer on the sideline.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Let's go to Sherman Oaks.
- 12:10Speaker 4: What do you have, Dan?
- 12:11Speaker 8: I want to eliminate more anguish Scott Norwood in the
- 12:14Speaker 8: Bills missing that field goal against the Giants wine right, Yes,
- 12:17Speaker 8: I mean they lost four straight Super Bowls. That's bad enough.
- 12:20Speaker 8: I feel he gets ninety percent of it, even though
- 12:22Speaker 8: they were blown out, you know, by the Cowboys and
- 12:25Speaker 8: Washington and Super Bowl twenty six.
- 12:27Speaker 3: He deserves it. I mean, Chip Shop, I gotta tell you.
- 12:31Speaker 7: Nobody's playing this game better than Dan Byer right now,
- 12:33Speaker 7: because that was one that I wrote down. Also, Michigan
- 12:37Speaker 7: basketball fans wanting to erase the Chris Webber timeout one.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I mean, go ahead and win your championship
- 12:44Speaker 5: and stop having to blame Chris Weber for that time out.
- 12:48Speaker 5: I love that one. I would like it.
- 12:49Speaker 3: It was his faults.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's so much more pleasant to remember your
- 12:54Speaker 5: championship and not them losing the championship because of I'm thinking.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Of it from a North Carolina get more pleasure out
- 13:00Speaker 1: of blaming guys for not winning a championship.
- 13:03Speaker 5: I would like to erase the nineteen ninety five NCAA
- 13:07Speaker 5: National Championship game between the Florida Gators and the Nebraska Cornhuskers,
- 13:11Speaker 5: because the Nebraska corn Hunter Huskers absolutely. I mean it
- 13:16Speaker 5: was just a beatdown. And then the next year the
- 13:19Speaker 5: Gators won a championship. So if I can forget the
- 13:22Speaker 5: terrible game and just remember the championship that they actually won,
- 13:25Speaker 5: I think that makes my fandom a little bit better,
- 13:27Speaker 5: all right.
- 13:28Speaker 1: George Shane Neil Matt The phone lines are loaded.
- 13:32Speaker 7: Is he You're welcome.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I'm not even certain what the topic is.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Every guy's thinking on this. There's here's a bone everyone,
- 13:42Speaker 5: here's a bonus.
- 13:43Speaker 8: You have no idea what I said at the top
- 13:44Speaker 8: of the hour, So it's a tease when I give
- 13:46Speaker 8: you the updating ten minutes of what's happening today, so
- 13:49Speaker 8: there's even more suspense. What's coming up?
- 13:51Speaker 3: Who are you yelling at there? Name names?
- 13:55Speaker 8: It was no one's fault. It was no one's fault.
- 14:00Speaker 1: All right, everyone on hold, stay right there, because I
- 14:03Speaker 1: promise you all we're doing today is taking phone calls
- 14:05Speaker 1: on sports moments you'd like to erase from your memory.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 14:12Speaker 2: Live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on
- 14:16Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 14:21Speaker 3: We are thinking about it on a Thursday.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Taylor's really gotten cooking.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Well, I gotta be honest. Taylor keeps moving the goalpost.
- 14:29Speaker 7: Now, I mean, that's not what I'm doing. You're gonna
- 14:31Speaker 7: still be figuring it out on a Friday.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Yeah, goal post is staying still right, It's just really
- 14:36Speaker 5: windy and a lot of us are missing. We're just
- 14:39Speaker 5: missing the gold post.
- 14:41Speaker 3: We have a ton of calls.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Matt Manual, George, Shane, Neil Lance, everyone stay right there.
- 14:45Speaker 5: Oh, let's try this again.
- 14:49Speaker 3: All right, Well, what level of confidence do you have
- 14:52Speaker 3: right now?
- 14:52Speaker 4: Is he is?
- 14:53Speaker 1: I throw it out to Sherman Oaks that Dan buyer
- 14:55Speaker 1: for it up. I see a smile on Dan's face.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I had confidence, all right, I'm at well, not quite
- 15:00Speaker 1: that high.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Let's try it regardless.
- 15:02Speaker 4: We have to.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Oh no, he's talking over Chris kidding.
- 15:05Speaker 8: That was a joke. There's a joke only for you guys.
- 15:08Speaker 3: The listener didn't get it, but that was only for
- 15:10Speaker 3: you guys.
- 15:11Speaker 1: We'll get to your calls. In his second year, Dan
- 15:13Speaker 1: as his first sports update of the show.
- 15:16Speaker 3: I was so excited to say football is back.
- 15:18Speaker 8: Hall of Fame game tonight Cardinals and Panthers Kennon, Ohio
- 15:21Speaker 8: eight o'clock Eastern time kick. A bunch of news in
- 15:23Speaker 8: the NFL as the Colts and running back Jonathan Taylor
- 15:25Speaker 8: agreed to terms on a two year extension worth forty
- 15:28Speaker 8: four million dollars. Deal could be worth up to forty
- 15:30Speaker 8: seven million with thirty nine million dollars guaranteed. Baker Mayfield
- 15:34Speaker 8: did not get his extension from the Buccaneers. We heard
- 15:37Speaker 8: Baker's thoughts earlier in camp. Today, GM Jason Light was
- 15:41Speaker 8: asked if they think Baker is a franchise quarterback.
- 15:44Speaker 11: Well, I'm not gonna get in specifics about the contract
- 15:48Speaker 11: and all that stuff, but yeah, we do think he is,
- 15:50Speaker 11: and we love Baker. Our feelings for Baker haven't changed.
- 15:54Speaker 8: Light also said the team has no plans on trading
- 15:56Speaker 8: defense in lineman Vita Vea, who has requested a trade.
- 15:59Speaker 8: North carolinasive coordinator Steve Belichick not with the team and
- 16:02Speaker 8: on medical leave. Head coach and Steve's father, Bill Belichick
- 16:05Speaker 8: wouldn't confirm if Steve would be back for the season
- 16:07Speaker 8: opener August twenty ninth against TCU, Red's just dropped the
- 16:10Speaker 8: A six to five, Angels on top of the Orioles
- 16:12Speaker 8: in the ninth four to one, Mets lead the Guardians
- 16:15Speaker 8: nine to five. That's in the seventh inning. Brewers and
- 16:17Speaker 8: Pirates tied up at two a piece in the fifth.
- 16:19Speaker 8: In Milwaukee, if Andy Junior signed a new six year
- 16:21Speaker 8: deal with Real Madrid, now under contract through twenty thirty two.
- 16:24Speaker 8: Bo Hostler leads to the Windham Championship at nine to
- 16:27Speaker 8: under par in the final event of the regular season
- 16:30Speaker 8: of the PGA Tour. Stoo back to you.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Thank you, Dan. Glad to see your mic is working.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Glad to hear your mike is working. Taylor is now
- 16:39Speaker 1: claiming that you're not just erasing this from your memory.
- 16:44Speaker 3: It's from everyone's memory. Is that correct, Tailor?
- 16:46Speaker 7: Yeah, that's what happened in Spider Man. I want to
- 16:49Speaker 7: kill you guys in.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I haven't seen it. Why would I see it after
- 16:52Speaker 1: your glowing review? I mean you said it was terrible.
- 16:54Speaker 7: No, I said it was a great movie. I just
- 16:56Speaker 7: said I was confused at certain points because Spider Man's
- 16:59Speaker 7: my guy. I don't know who some of the ancillary
- 17:01Speaker 7: characters are right.
- 17:02Speaker 1: So you were confused watching the movie, and we're can
- 17:04Speaker 1: confuse discussing this topic.
- 17:06Speaker 7: Let me let me give you guys another example. Okay,
- 17:09Speaker 7: so I'm a Carolina fan. Twenty sixteen, Villanova wins on
- 17:13Speaker 7: the buzzer beater. Chris Jenkins hits the buzzer beater shot
- 17:15Speaker 7: in the National Championship. Guy, Yes, yep, I'm going to
- 17:18Speaker 7: a race the last four point seven seconds from that game.
- 17:22Speaker 7: So I don't remember Chris Jenkins buzzer beater. I'm not
- 17:25Speaker 7: changing the outcome of the game.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Can't.
- 17:27Speaker 7: But when people go back and think of the twenty
- 17:30Speaker 7: sixteen National Championship, there'll be like, huh, we remember it
- 17:34Speaker 7: was tied and then that was it.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Okay, but you don't know what happens.
- 17:39Speaker 5: And then we're all just okay with it and we
- 17:41Speaker 5: just move on to the next time.
- 17:42Speaker 1: He's saying is he would rather not know what's gonna
- 17:44Speaker 1: happen and then have that heartbreaking moment.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Collect Now I'm playing the game, Taylor.
- 17:49Speaker 7: If we open up the record books right there in
- 17:51Speaker 7: twenty sixteen, there's just gonna be a question mark. Yes,
- 17:55Speaker 7: it was tied North Carolina Villanova, and then something happened
- 17:58Speaker 7: in the last four point seven seconds.
- 18:00Speaker 5: One right, I've got one that would make me feel
- 18:02Speaker 5: better as a fan of the Miami Dolphins.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Just forgetting it all together.
- 18:06Speaker 5: No, yeah, that would make me a fan. I would
- 18:11Speaker 5: like to forget Dan Marino's final NFL game, in which
- 18:15Speaker 5: he lost sixty two to seven in an AFC Divisional
- 18:18Speaker 5: playoff to the Jacksonville Jaguars. I would just like to
- 18:21Speaker 5: believe that his career ended. Whatever the heck happened at
- 18:24Speaker 5: that regular season finale, not the way to go. Didn't
- 18:27Speaker 5: embarrass himself.
- 18:29Speaker 7: Now you're playing the game there, so are you going
- 18:31Speaker 7: to be the judge?
- 18:31Speaker 4: Yes.
- 18:32Speaker 8: They beat the Seahawks in the wild card game before that,
- 18:34Speaker 8: so that would have been the last win. Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I would have been very confused as to why
- 18:38Speaker 5: he didn't have another game after winning a playoff game.
- 18:40Speaker 5: But I wouldn't have that sadness.
- 18:42Speaker 3: It easy's mind. He would have went out on top.
- 18:44Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, there you go.
- 18:45Speaker 1: You guys are playing the game, so you're gonna judge.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You're gonna simply tell people you're playing the game. Yeah
- 18:53Speaker 1: all right, well let's try and call that Dan.
- 18:54Speaker 3: You're not at all confused by this, you get it.
- 18:56Speaker 3: You saw Spider Man.
- 18:57Speaker 8: Yeah, I did not see Spider Man. I'm not a
- 19:00Speaker 8: movie guy, but I will say Balligan Red Card just
- 19:04Speaker 8: everything about it, like, Okay, maybe the US gets crushed
- 19:07Speaker 8: by Belgium, whatever, Ballagan Red Card a recent history of
- 19:11Speaker 8: Now I just kind of wish it never happened.
- 19:13Speaker 1: So some people are telling me that I should erase
- 19:15Speaker 1: from my memory everyone's memory the butt fumble, But it
- 19:17Speaker 1: brought so much joy to so many people, including myself,
- 19:20Speaker 1: that I don't want to erase it from my memory.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Is that fair?
- 19:24Speaker 5: It is? I mean, I don't know that how what
- 19:26Speaker 5: kind of Jets fan that makes you? But that just
- 19:28Speaker 5: makes you somebody who's more, who likes your job, what
- 19:31Speaker 5: you do, more than you're fandom of the Jets.
- 19:33Speaker 1: It makes me a Jet fan that is so depressed
- 19:35Speaker 1: because his team has been so lousy for so long,
- 19:38Speaker 1: They've never been good, that I'll.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Take the funny moments. I mean, that's it.
- 19:42Speaker 7: If I was a Jets fan, the moment I would
- 19:43Speaker 7: want to erase his fireman ed becoming our spokesman team
- 19:46Speaker 7: fan such a gimmick.
- 19:48Speaker 5: It's a little jarring to me to hear you talk
- 19:51Speaker 5: about the Jets as hours and us because I have
- 19:54Speaker 5: been established. It's been established obviously Stu Gotts is a
- 19:56Speaker 5: Jets fan. Mikey as the Jets, and I feel like
- 19:58Speaker 5: you've been holding back because you don't want to say
- 20:00Speaker 5: that you are. But I was telling you about this
- 20:01Speaker 5: even yesterday, and I was like, really.
- 20:03Speaker 7: So I just disassociated from the New York Jets?
- 20:06Speaker 5: Are you raised them from your memory?
- 20:07Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 20:07Speaker 7: Exactly?
- 20:08Speaker 4: Who are you?
- 20:08Speaker 3: A fan of football?
- 20:10Speaker 5: Was?
- 20:10Speaker 3: NFL?
- 20:10Speaker 7: Was whatever team Matt Collins is on? So right now
- 20:13Speaker 7: the Patriots?
- 20:13Speaker 3: What if he became a Jet that would be a
- 20:15Speaker 3: Jets fan?
- 20:16Speaker 1: We again, God, I hope that happens, just so you
- 20:20Speaker 1: could feel my bait and then you would know why
- 20:22Speaker 1: I don't want to erase the butt fumble from my memory.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Let's take some calls here eight seven, seven ninety nine
- 20:27Speaker 1: on Fox. Let's go out to Matt who's in Michigan today, Mac,
- 20:30Speaker 1: go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 20:33Speaker 12: Hey, good afternoon, suite fella's thanks for taking a call.
- 20:35Speaker 4: All right?
- 20:36Speaker 12: So, first one, raising the fact that Pete Rose was
- 20:40Speaker 12: caught gambling, then he would have been voted in by
- 20:44Speaker 12: the Riders before he died. That would rewrite history properly.
- 20:48Speaker 12: Number two, now you talk about it, is erasing Michael
- 20:51Speaker 12: jordan sabbatical to the barons, and he would have had
- 20:54Speaker 12: six consecutive championships eight indem was debt.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Hey, yes, well I've already erased it. My personal record
- 21:03Speaker 1: books still gots book dot com. Elijah wont never won
- 21:07Speaker 1: two Jordan one eight consecutive titles.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I'm with you on that.
- 21:09Speaker 5: That one's tricky. He's playing the game well, right, Taylor.
- 21:11Speaker 7: He's that that is how you play the game well,
- 21:14Speaker 7: because if you forget that Michael Jordan had those two years,
- 21:17Speaker 7: you would just have that that six run of titles.
- 21:20Speaker 7: And also the Pete Rose one is right because while
- 21:23Speaker 7: I said you can't really rewrite history, yeah, what would
- 21:26Speaker 7: happen in Matt scenario here is Pete Rose. Would everybody
- 21:31Speaker 7: would forget that he got caught gambling, Yes, and then
- 21:34Speaker 7: the writers would be like, wait, why isn't Pete Rose
- 21:36Speaker 7: in the Hall of Fame. And then the writers wouldn't
- 21:38Speaker 7: have that memory that he got caught gambling, so they
- 21:40Speaker 7: would just look at his numbers and be like, obviously
- 21:42Speaker 7: this guy's you could do. You could do the steroids, guys,
- 21:44Speaker 7: getting caught.
- 21:45Speaker 3: He'd be a first ballot guy.
- 21:46Speaker 8: Though.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Yea.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Writers wouldn't need a reminder. They just there's no gambling.
- 21:49Speaker 1: They don't remember it. He'd be a first ballot Hall
- 21:51Speaker 1: of Famer. He's a hickeke.
- 21:52Speaker 7: If somebody chose forgetting Barry Bonds got caught with steroids,
- 21:56Speaker 7: Barry Bonds becomes a unanimous Hall of Famer.
- 21:58Speaker 3: The greatest player ever. He still is in my personal
- 22:00Speaker 3: record book.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Yes, Dad.
- 22:02Speaker 8: Chris Purfet, our technical producer, I know this. It's Home
- 22:05Speaker 8: in Detroit, had a really good nomination.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Chris, Yeah, okay.
- 22:09Speaker 6: I don't want to erase the man entirely because he
- 22:10Speaker 6: seems like a good, good guy. But I would like
- 22:13Speaker 6: to erase Jim Joyce being involved in the Galarraga Perfect Game.
- 22:17Speaker 4: That's a great one because then the.
- 22:19Speaker 6: Tigers would have a perfect game in their history. Gal
- 22:21Speaker 6: and Jim Joyce wouldn't get all of the hell that
- 22:24Speaker 6: he got, and we wouldn't.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I don't sell so much about the perfect game. I
- 22:27Speaker 1: care about the hell that Jim Joyce has a perfect game. Yeah,
- 22:30Speaker 1: still weird perfect game under this scenario. It's just that
- 22:32Speaker 1: Jim Joyce wouldn't. It might be a perfect game. Maybe
- 22:35Speaker 1: someone else under Taylor's rules, not under Taylor's version, they
- 22:38Speaker 1: playing the game.
- 22:39Speaker 7: Taylor, he's not really playing the game. It would be
- 22:41Speaker 7: playing the game, and then he wasn't play.
- 22:43Speaker 5: It would be the strangest perfect game ever because it
- 22:45Speaker 5: would just be twenty six out. Yeah, like what happened
- 22:47Speaker 5: at twenty seven that it doesn't matter.
- 22:49Speaker 7: I think he would get credit because the only outs
- 22:51Speaker 7: that we could remember in this scenario for Chris right
- 22:54Speaker 7: is Galaga with a twenty six out perfect game.
- 22:57Speaker 3: All right, I just want to make sure I'm playing
- 22:59Speaker 3: the game correctly.
- 22:59Speaker 1: So Jordan in that example, so we just assume after
- 23:03Speaker 1: winning three straight he takes two years off. If we
- 23:05Speaker 1: erase that from the memory, we just assume that Jordan
- 23:08Speaker 1: won the next two because he's Jordan, right.
- 23:10Speaker 5: I don't think that's how that works. We're gonna have
- 23:12Speaker 5: to erase those two years entirely from our memory and
- 23:15Speaker 5: just assume that the NBA just took a sabbatical started
- 23:18Speaker 5: up again in ninety six.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're bookending it with this Jordan winning three
- 23:22Speaker 1: straight and then Jordan winning three straight, So you would
- 23:24Speaker 1: assume in the middle there the part that we're erasing,
- 23:26Speaker 1: not remembering he would, well, no, I'm not playing well,
- 23:29Speaker 1: his wish was.
- 23:30Speaker 7: We forget Jordan played baseball. His wish was, and we
- 23:33Speaker 7: forget two years of everything that happened.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Right, It's just like, oh, what did Jordan get hurt?
- 23:38Speaker 5: Maybe did he just stop playing? Maybe you just forget
- 23:40Speaker 5: that he played baseball and that was the reason.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Why I play in the game.
- 23:43Speaker 8: So then do we say, like Elijah Wanzon underachiever because
- 23:47Speaker 8: of the championships that happened during those years.
- 23:51Speaker 5: I think that might be I don't know, it might
- 23:52Speaker 5: be taking it too far.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Yeah, changing history.
- 23:56Speaker 5: I've got one another one. I would like to race
- 24:00Speaker 5: November two thousand and nine, the incident where Tiger Woods
- 24:04Speaker 5: crashes is then suv into the tree and fire hydrant,
- 24:07Speaker 5: and then exposes everything else from his personal life as
- 24:10Speaker 5: a result. The reason why is because I mean, I
- 24:13Speaker 5: loved Tiger Woods as much as anybody else. Yes, and
- 24:16Speaker 5: I don't like that his decline starts with that, right,
- 24:21Speaker 5: with controversy with some and then then come all the injuries.
- 24:24Speaker 5: I would rather just a regular Oh he got injured
- 24:26Speaker 5: because he was so good. Oh, okay, he's not as
- 24:28Speaker 5: good as he used to be that's fine, but now
- 24:30Speaker 5: when you think of Tiger Woods, it's oh, man, that
- 24:32Speaker 5: really happened, and for some reason that sort of seemed
- 24:35Speaker 5: to signal his decline, and then he just does the
- 24:37Speaker 5: dumb things like you know, the painkillers and all that stuff.
- 24:40Speaker 5: But I think erasing that incident would just help me
- 24:43Speaker 5: be a better fan of Tiger Woods.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Okay, that's fair, but sometimes erasing the pain doesn't make
- 24:47Speaker 1: the next accomplishment feel that much better. He did come
- 24:50Speaker 1: back and with a masters with his kids watching. It's
- 24:53Speaker 1: like someone brought up Bartman right in that first segment.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I think you have to go through some of those
- 24:57Speaker 1: and the Cubs certainly have for the winning feel that
- 25:00Speaker 1: much better.
- 25:01Speaker 5: But if he was just because he went through the injuries, right,
- 25:03Speaker 5: we don't we kind of combined those two and assign
- 25:06Speaker 5: his his downfall that the injuries happened after that as
- 25:09Speaker 5: that incident being the reason. Now, I would just rather
- 25:12Speaker 5: have believed, Oh, he got hurt and then he had
- 25:14Speaker 5: this great comeback that still allows me to be a
- 25:16Speaker 5: big Tiger fan.
- 25:17Speaker 8: I kind of want to meet Iszy halfway on this.
- 25:18Speaker 8: Can we just erase the dorky phone call to the
- 25:21Speaker 8: president on the most recent arrest. Just that like two
- 25:24Speaker 8: seconds of not political, but he just sounded like such
- 25:27Speaker 8: a dork, like on the fold, was just on the
- 25:29Speaker 8: phone with the president, like just erase that.
- 25:32Speaker 3: I want to say, Yes, we could do it, but
- 25:33Speaker 3: that's up to Taylor playing the game the right way.
- 25:38Speaker 8: Let's go.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Let's go out to uh George and Fort Lauderdale. George,
- 25:43Speaker 1: go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 25:46Speaker 13: I'd like to erase that ref Terry Porter, that dirty
- 25:49Speaker 13: rat bastard.
- 25:53Speaker 3: You know what he's talking about. Yeah, great call, a
- 25:56Speaker 3: proper call.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yeah, let's first find out Taylor from Taylor.
- 26:01Speaker 3: If he's playing the game, he's playing the game the
- 26:03Speaker 3: right way.
- 26:04Speaker 5: So if they just win on a last second situation
- 26:07Speaker 5: or whatever without that, without that flag, you don't blame
- 26:10Speaker 5: the referees for Miami's loss. There you feel a little.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Bit better about that, correct, all right, thank you for
- 26:15Speaker 1: the call, George. Let's go to Manuel from Texas.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 26:20Speaker 9: Yes, I don't know if this counts or not, but
- 26:21Speaker 9: I would like to erase Tom Tuo'll leave it in
- 26:24Speaker 9: Derek Rose to him, turn his l fellows.
- 26:28Speaker 10: Sure we're going to beat the heat that year.
- 26:30Speaker 1: So if you erase that memory, you are still left
- 26:33Speaker 1: wondering why Derek Rose did and.
- 26:35Speaker 5: Took a year off. Yes, am I playing the game
- 26:39Speaker 5: and then came back.
- 26:40Speaker 7: You're playing the game the right way, because you would
- 26:43Speaker 7: just see box scores of Derek Rose in that series
- 26:45Speaker 7: and it would say d NP next way and you'd.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Be like, what happened?
- 26:48Speaker 7: You would have no recollection that Darren Rose's career got
- 26:51Speaker 7: derailed because of a cl injuries, and.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Then after his full year off, he's like, why isn't
- 26:55Speaker 5: he jumping as high?
- 26:56Speaker 6: What?
- 26:56Speaker 5: What happened to this guy?
- 26:57Speaker 7: To be fair to Manuel, what I think happened there
- 27:00Speaker 7: is when he called in, he was playing one game,
- 27:02Speaker 7: and then as he was waiting, he was realizing that
- 27:05Speaker 7: the game he was trying to play was a different game,
- 27:07Speaker 7: because you could hear it in his initial saying of
- 27:10Speaker 7: I think I'm playing the game.
- 27:12Speaker 1: So he made the pivot right, So he was playing
- 27:14Speaker 1: the way you were playing earlier, right, But then he
- 27:16Speaker 1: figured it out right? Is that what you're saying? Extra
- 27:18Speaker 1: points for that? Or I mean I'll give him a
- 27:20Speaker 1: bonus point.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Can I ask Dan a follow up question? It seems
- 27:23Speaker 5: to be my specialty. Yeah, I never understand when people
- 27:27Speaker 5: say they're not a movie guy. Do you just not
- 27:30Speaker 5: have the patience for movies? Do you not think that
- 27:32Speaker 5: they're very good? Because if you're not, are you not.
- 27:34Speaker 3: A TV guy at all?
- 27:35Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 27:35Speaker 8: Yeah, Like I don't get into the art of it.
- 27:37Speaker 8: I don't get into the time length of it as well.
- 27:40Speaker 8: I'd rather watch I'd rather watch four like sitcoms in
- 27:44Speaker 8: a row than watch like a two hour movie. If
- 27:46Speaker 8: that seems maybe it's an attention span thing. I don't
- 27:48Speaker 8: go to the movies. I don't none of that.
- 27:51Speaker 5: But what about those sitcoms where they have a two
- 27:53Speaker 5: b continued. Yeah, and it's like a or maybe three
- 27:57Speaker 5: episodes in a row. Sure, kind of like a.
- 27:59Speaker 8: Movie kind of Yeah, kind of, but as long as
- 28:01Speaker 8: it's not a three parter, then we're good.
- 28:05Speaker 5: But I still don't fully understand it.
- 28:06Speaker 1: But okay, well I used to be a movie guy.
- 28:08Speaker 1: No longer am priority shift. I mean, I got things
- 28:10Speaker 1: to do.
- 28:11Speaker 5: I don't go to movies very often, but I very
- 28:13Speaker 5: much enjoy a good movie. You tell me a movie's
- 28:15Speaker 5: you know, ninety five percent on Rotten Tomatoes, I'm gonna,
- 28:18Speaker 5: you know, once it starts streaming, I'm gonna watch that.
- 28:20Speaker 8: If I see a movie on Netflix it says like
- 28:22Speaker 8: two hours, thirty five minutes already eliminated, it's gotta be
- 28:25Speaker 8: like under two hours for me to be like, all right,
- 28:28Speaker 8: let's have it's bad.
- 28:29Speaker 5: But some of the best movies were epic and really long.
- 28:32Speaker 5: Go ahead tell her.
- 28:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 7: But if, to Dan's point, if I see a movie
- 28:35Speaker 7: that's two and a half hours, I'm like, no way.
- 28:37Speaker 7: But then if I see Toledo Verse.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Seven hours, oh yeah, You're rejected in my veins.
- 28:43Speaker 7: There's some action tonight, some action.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Give me a five overtime college basketball game.
- 28:51Speaker 8: I think, especially if a fans calling the plays now,
- 28:54Speaker 8: then I'm totally locked down.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Listen, I don't want to change the game. I'm not
- 28:57Speaker 3: trying to change the game.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Is there a movie, Dan Bayer, that you would like
- 29:00Speaker 1: to erase from your memory, a movie that you've.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Seen that you wish you had it seen.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Oh god, that's a good one.
- 29:07Speaker 8: Yes, I saw down Periscope in the theaters, and maybe
- 29:13Speaker 8: that could have been like the point of demarcation where
- 29:17Speaker 8: it's like no more of this, no more taking a whim.
- 29:21Speaker 8: Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad. Don't remember anything.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Of it.
- 29:23Speaker 8: I just didn't think it was a great movie.
- 29:26Speaker 5: I saw dark Man. It is terrible.
- 29:30Speaker 3: I've never even heard of it.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a nineteen ninety movie, just awful.
- 29:34Speaker 3: What's it about?
- 29:35Speaker 5: It's a I don't know. Is that a superhero somebody
- 29:38Speaker 5: named dark Man who saved the day? I don't even remember.
- 29:40Speaker 5: I'd like to forget it.
- 29:41Speaker 3: You've already erased it from your memory, but.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Yet somehow I remember watching it. Wow, it literally was
- 29:46Speaker 5: the first one that came to mind.
- 29:48Speaker 7: Leam Neesen's in it.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yeah, huh what does that mean? Let's go to Mike
- 29:56Speaker 1: from Austin. Mike, go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio, Dad, I.
- 30:01Speaker 14: Canna forget how then that Abrade losties?
- 30:06Speaker 4: Oh?
- 30:07Speaker 5: That was was that play at the plate?
- 30:10Speaker 10: Uh? Ah?
- 30:11Speaker 15: This like all of it after Game two?
- 30:14Speaker 1: Mostly okay, just erase it, but you got to the
- 30:17Speaker 1: World Series. But I guess if you erase it.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Then you never know what happened.
- 30:20Speaker 5: How they lost? Oh how they want to know that
- 30:22Speaker 5: they lost? That's okay, but how they lost?
- 30:24Speaker 3: Why not erase the entire thing that way?
- 30:26Speaker 1: You know, you don't know if they want or lost,
- 30:29Speaker 1: which is better than lose it?
- 30:30Speaker 5: Yeah, it'd be like, why in the record books are
- 30:32Speaker 5: they not show a world Hippy in nineteen n six.
- 30:33Speaker 5: I don't know. Let's just keep going, Spider Man.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Let's go to uh, Let's go to Jr. From Wichita Jr.
- 30:42Speaker 8: Go ahead.
- 30:43Speaker 3: I'm laughing because I have a feeling I know where
- 30:45Speaker 3: he's going. Go ahead.
- 30:48Speaker 15: Yeah, I just want to forget the last twenty minutes.
- 30:50Speaker 16: Of this show.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Thank you, last twenty minutes. But when you called in,
- 30:55Speaker 5: you want to remember that part? Yes, that's a funny
- 30:57Speaker 5: joke though.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Let's good as Shane and Colorado today. Shane, go ahead,
- 31:03Speaker 1: you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 31:04Speaker 13: Hey, boys, thanks for the call, tak for taking my call.
- 31:07Speaker 13: I initially went with the Malice in the Palace, but
- 31:10Speaker 13: now that I understand how you guys are playing, the
- 31:12Speaker 13: one that I the moment I would want to erase
- 31:14Speaker 13: is the the tuck rule when Woodson forced that fumble
- 31:19Speaker 13: on Tom Brady and then all of a sudden that
- 31:22Speaker 13: tuck rule ruined games.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Right?
- 31:25Speaker 1: If you yes, I never want to erase the Malice
- 31:29Speaker 1: in the Palace from my memory because if I erase that,
- 31:31Speaker 1: I'm erasing the moment that Jamal Tinsley came out on
- 31:33Speaker 1: the court to fight someone with a broom.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I do.
- 31:37Speaker 5: I do like the tuck rule thing because a lot
- 31:39Speaker 5: especially you know, Patriots fans, just want people to forget
- 31:42Speaker 5: about that because people will say, well, if that rule
- 31:45Speaker 5: or that you know, loophole didn't exist and they lose
- 31:48Speaker 5: that game, then maybe the whole dynasty doesn't exist. And
- 31:52Speaker 5: I understand that where people are just gonna be upset. No, no, no,
- 31:55Speaker 5: we were great for years. Forget that tuck rule. Even
- 31:57Speaker 5: if we don't win that game, we would have won,
- 31:59Speaker 5: you know, multiple super but the Patriots.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Still win that game. And aren't you left confused as
- 32:04Speaker 1: to how they won the game? Well, I mean I guess,
- 32:07Speaker 1: or you don't care.
- 32:08Speaker 3: We just won the game in the end.
- 32:09Speaker 5: You don't. Maybe it's just that play that disappears. You
- 32:12Speaker 5: forget it altogether. You just see the final score. Okay, Hey,
- 32:14Speaker 5: I remember we won that game.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Taylor were playing the game or that was playing
- 32:17Speaker 1: the game the right way.
- 32:20Speaker 3: It makes me feel good when he says.
- 32:21Speaker 5: That it's oddt for that one guy who said the
- 32:24Speaker 5: last twenty minutes of the show he'd like to forget.
- 32:26Speaker 5: That doesn't make me feel good. Why why he you
- 32:28Speaker 5: I took that call purposely, but weren't taking all the costs.
- 32:33Speaker 8: Yeah, like let's go to a oh, I like Super
- 32:35Speaker 8: Bowl twenty five though if we don't know the tuck rule,
- 32:38Speaker 8: we're just remembering how good Adam Vinitary's kicks were in
- 32:41Speaker 8: that game, which I'm totally fine with because he was
- 32:44Speaker 8: kicking field goals in an absolute blizzard and was nailing them.
- 32:48Speaker 1: All Right, Matt and Texas, stay right there, Dwight Kentucky,
- 32:51Speaker 1: stay right there, some open phone lines. Eight seven seven
- 32:53Speaker 1: ninety nine on Fox Moments in Sports that you would
- 32:56Speaker 1: like to raise from your memory and everyone's memory, and
- 33:00Speaker 1: seven ninety.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Nine on Fox.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Gotson Company
- 33:06Speaker 2: Live WEEKDS at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Get back to your calls here in just a second.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. I am very excited.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Is he Hall of Fame game tonight?
- 33:21Speaker 5: No, you're not.
- 33:22Speaker 4: And since Jr.
- 33:23Speaker 1: And Wichita did not like the last twenty minutes of
- 33:25Speaker 1: this show, which we enjoyed thoroughly, I think Taylor has
- 33:29Speaker 1: something for Jr. And Wichita because clearly he wants us
- 33:32Speaker 1: to do a different show. So with that being said,
- 33:35Speaker 1: Hall of Fame Game tonight, Taylor has your keys to
- 33:38Speaker 1: the game. Oh what, here are my keys to the
- 33:42Speaker 1: game for tonight's preseason Hall of Fame game that sees
- 33:45Speaker 1: the Panthers as a one and a half point favorite.
- 33:50Speaker 7: As Kenny Pickett suits up for Carolina against Carson Beck
- 33:54Speaker 7: and Arizona. My three keys to the game tonight got
- 33:57Speaker 7: to establish the run. It's all gonna be about ball security,
- 34:00Speaker 7: Gotta protect that football. And then a lot of roster
- 34:03Speaker 7: spots are up for grabs, so I'll be keeping track
- 34:06Speaker 7: of who wants it more. Stu Gotts back to you.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Thank you, Taylor, We appreciate it. Kenny Picketts of Carolina
- 34:12Speaker 1: Panther huh yeah, providing his own sound effects.
- 34:23Speaker 8: What was that?
- 34:23Speaker 5: Sounded more like an elephant.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Let's go out to uh? Where am I? Oh? There's
- 34:30Speaker 3: so many calls. I don't know what to do.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Let's go out to Matt in Texas. Mac, go ahead,
- 34:34Speaker 1: you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Hey sir, Yeah, thanks for taking my call.
- 34:39Speaker 16: I was gonna say the Tuck rule, but I got taken,
- 34:41Speaker 16: So I'm gonna go with Mark Davis.
- 34:45Speaker 17: Picking Josh McDaniels over Derek Carr and completely ruining.
- 34:49Speaker 15: Our chances and the best team we had in a while.
- 34:52Speaker 3: All right, so you want to erase that from your memory, Josh.
- 34:55Speaker 1: MCTI hurts, all right, Taylor's he playing the game.
- 35:01Speaker 7: He's playing the game the right way because every time
- 35:03Speaker 7: his team's drafting, he doesn't have to have it in
- 35:06Speaker 7: the back of his mind. Are we going to make
- 35:08Speaker 7: that same mistake again?
- 35:09Speaker 5: I've got one in that same vein, and it's actually
- 35:11Speaker 5: from Ricardo or he said, I wish I could forget
- 35:14Speaker 5: that Drew Brees was a physical away from signing with
- 35:16Speaker 5: the Dolphins. It would take out the sting of watching
- 35:19Speaker 5: him win so much. That is a great one, Ricardo.
- 35:22Speaker 5: The Dolphins had a choice.
- 35:23Speaker 1: It was Nick Saban as the head coach, it was
- 35:24Speaker 1: Dante Culpepper, and doctor Canell missed Drew Brees.
- 35:31Speaker 5: I don't know why I didn't let Riccardo say that
- 35:33Speaker 5: for himself. He's got a voice.
- 35:35Speaker 1: But you know, yeah, bull credit, can you Saban would
- 35:41Speaker 1: still be the head coach of the Dolphins, perhaps.
- 35:43Speaker 5: Well, well, no, it's not that's right, quarterback.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm not playing the game. I haven't seen Spider Man,
- 35:51Speaker 1: yet I'm getting to it.
- 35:56Speaker 8: I feel like.
- 35:56Speaker 5: Dwight from Kentucky's been on hold for a while. Should
- 35:58Speaker 5: we go to Dwight from Kentucky as.
- 36:00Speaker 3: He forgot Dwight?
- 36:01Speaker 5: Go ahead?
- 36:02Speaker 18: Hey, hey, I got doing man? Hey thanks, Hey, I
- 36:06Speaker 18: got I want to go to the movies real quick,
- 36:08Speaker 18: and then I got my sports one next.
- 36:09Speaker 8: But to the movies.
- 36:10Speaker 18: When you know the movie you said you wish you
- 36:11Speaker 18: could have forgot, you ever watched and never had? What
- 36:14Speaker 18: when my movie is any movie that plays on tuby,
- 36:17Speaker 18: I wish I had never watched it. I don't care
- 36:22Speaker 18: what it is.
- 36:22Speaker 8: It's on Touby.
- 36:23Speaker 18: I shouldn't have watched it, Okay, fair, I want to
- 36:27Speaker 18: forget UK and Duke nineteen ninety two, when Christy Laker
- 36:30Speaker 18: stumped on our UK player then to add and so
- 36:33Speaker 18: the injury. The man turned around and hit a turn
- 36:35Speaker 18: around jumper at the buzzer to beat us in the
- 36:36Speaker 18: NCAA tournament.
- 36:38Speaker 8: So I wanted to get there too, right.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I never want to forget that, and I don't like too,
- 36:42Speaker 1: but it was just one of the great sports moments
- 36:44Speaker 1: in the history of sports.
- 36:45Speaker 5: It really was. If you forget that, Dwight. You'd be like,
- 36:47Speaker 5: why does everybody hit Christian Latner so much just because
- 36:50Speaker 5: he beat us whatever?
- 36:53Speaker 3: And you really be wondering how he made the Dream Team.
- 36:58Speaker 3: He was swinging on something. I was trying to bring
- 37:00Speaker 3: it the basketball for you.
- 37:01Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 37:02Speaker 5: No, again, you're not really playing the game right because
- 37:05Speaker 5: he still would have won the championship. You just don't
- 37:08Speaker 5: remember that he did it by stepping on somebody and
- 37:11Speaker 5: then hitting the buzzer beat.
- 37:12Speaker 4: I get it.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I want to say, I get it, but I know,
- 37:14Speaker 1: let's go to what Eric in Oregon? Eric, go ahead,
- 37:17Speaker 1: you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 37:19Speaker 9: Well, I don't know if I'm playing the game the
- 37:21Speaker 9: right way.
- 37:22Speaker 4: No one does. That's the point.
- 37:24Speaker 9: Yes, I want to forget that.
- 37:27Speaker 10: Jalen Hurts trumble six and Super Bowl fifty.
- 37:31Speaker 5: Wow, that was the second quarter one he's in eight years. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 37:38Speaker 5: that was the linebacker Nick Bolton. That's right. Yeah, you
- 37:41Speaker 5: just go ahead and lose a Super Bowl.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Don't lose it that way, right, You don't want to
- 37:43Speaker 3: know how you lost?
- 37:44Speaker 4: Is essentially what you say. Yeah.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Different.
- 37:47Speaker 7: If I was a Philadelphia fan, the moment I would
- 37:49Speaker 7: want a race from people's memory is the throwing batteries
- 37:53Speaker 7: at Santa because people always come back to that moment
- 37:56Speaker 7: when they want to talk about how bad Philly fans are. Yeah,
- 37:59Speaker 7: if you erase that moment, you're leaving. You're leaving some
- 38:03Speaker 7: ammo out of the gun for people when they start
- 38:06Speaker 7: targeting you.
- 38:07Speaker 3: I feel like Philly fans are proud of that moment though.
- 38:09Speaker 7: No they're not. They hate that moment and the snowballs
- 38:11Speaker 7: at Santa they hate that one too.
- 38:12Speaker 5: They never proud of your at least you're like your
- 38:14Speaker 5: worst moment.
- 38:15Speaker 3: We're talking about Philly fans.
- 38:16Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's still their worst moment.
- 38:18Speaker 1: They define themselves by their worst moments. IM sorry, I
- 38:23Speaker 1: mean the egg, the house of the offensive coordinator.
- 38:26Speaker 8: Jesus.
- 38:27Speaker 7: They don't want that moment on their resumes.
- 38:28Speaker 3: I know, but don't you guys? Do you agree with this?
- 38:31Speaker 1: If you don't experience the pain of the fumble six
- 38:34Speaker 1: with Jalen Hurts, then the winning doesn't feel better. Like
- 38:38Speaker 1: you have to go through some losing for the winning
- 38:40Speaker 1: to feel maximum good.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Is that fair?
- 38:43Speaker 5: I mean yes, except like if you're Victor wimbin Yama,
- 38:46Speaker 5: like you're just you don't have to suffer at all.
- 38:48Speaker 5: You just win, win, win.
- 38:49Speaker 3: That dude's never forgetting He's coming for everyone.
- 38:54Speaker 7: Do In this instance, you're saying, would the National Championship
- 38:59Speaker 7: North Carolina one in twenty seventeen not feel as good
- 39:03Speaker 7: if I didn't have the heartbreak in twenty sixteen.
- 39:05Speaker 3: I'm asking that question. Yes, no, it would feel just
- 39:09Speaker 3: as good.
- 39:10Speaker 5: It's just as good, right, Yeah, Like if Lebron James
- 39:12Speaker 5: wins that twenty eleven championship, I think he's going to
- 39:16Speaker 5: be perfectly. I don't think it's going to be make
- 39:18Speaker 5: twenty twelve any better. I think he's gonna feel great
- 39:20Speaker 5: in twenty eleven winning because that was the reason he
- 39:22Speaker 5: went there.
- 39:22Speaker 8: Yes, Dad, if there's no COVID, the Lakers Championship isn't
- 39:28Speaker 8: used with an asterisk. That's like very wide ranging. But
- 39:32Speaker 8: Lebron doesn't have a fake title.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't know if that's playing the game.
- 39:36Speaker 1: If there's no COVID, well he's still win it. You
- 39:38Speaker 1: forget about COVID.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I mean just forget about COVID.
- 39:40Speaker 5: But you are confused as to why they decided to
- 39:42Speaker 5: play this part of the season in October November it
- 39:45Speaker 5: was assumption by a but still.
- 39:49Speaker 7: Dan is right though, if you forget about the bubble,
- 39:53Speaker 7: you don't get people calling it a Mickey Mouse title
- 39:56Speaker 7: for Lebron playing the game the right way?
- 39:58Speaker 3: If you say so.
- 40:00Speaker 1: That is eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox will
- 40:02Speaker 1: continue sports memories that people would like to erase from
- 40:06Speaker 1: their memory, from everyone's memory. It's coming in from all angles?
- 40:09Speaker 1: Is he Taylor has some nominees here on social media?
- 40:12Speaker 1: What do you have for us?
- 40:14Speaker 10: So?
- 40:15Speaker 7: A Commander's fan wrote in uh will underscore st five said,
- 40:20Speaker 7: can we just forget Dan Snyder?
- 40:24Speaker 8: Sure?
- 40:25Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, you could be okay with your team being terrible,
- 40:28Speaker 5: though you don't want to have one person to blame
- 40:30Speaker 5: for the entire thing. Yeah, that's what people did in Washington.
- 40:33Speaker 8: That's fair.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Is he playing the game? Taylor?
- 40:35Speaker 7: That is playing the game? Especially Couse. It just made
- 40:38Speaker 7: me laugh too. The other one that came in from
- 40:41Speaker 7: somebody named Hugh on Twitter. He said, the worst movie
- 40:44Speaker 7: I ever saw in the theater was Caddyshack Too. I
- 40:47Speaker 7: wanted a race for my memory.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yeah, same, shame on you for going to see that.
- 40:51Speaker 4: You should have known.
- 40:52Speaker 5: I mean sorry, I have a fantastic one that I
- 40:55Speaker 5: did not think about until just now. If I may
- 40:57Speaker 5: pat myself on the back. I would love to forget
- 41:00Speaker 5: Dwayne Wade in a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform. Wow, that's a
- 41:03Speaker 5: good one, man, I got it right. I'm fine with
- 41:06Speaker 5: him in Chicago. In fact, I just saw a whole
- 41:08Speaker 5: three minute clip of him hitting fadeaways in Chicago, and
- 41:10Speaker 5: I was like, you know what, he was still really
- 41:12Speaker 5: good there, and everybody was still happy that he was
- 41:14Speaker 5: playing on a regular basis. But then that Cleveland stint
- 41:17Speaker 5: was just.
- 41:19Speaker 7: I have one for me, and then one for somebody
- 41:21Speaker 7: in sports media, but one for me. I wish I
- 41:24Speaker 7: could forget and everybody forget the Aaron Judge drop pop
- 41:27Speaker 7: up in Game five in the World Series against the Dodgers,
- 41:30Speaker 7: because unless he wins a World Series, Yankee fans are
- 41:33Speaker 7: gonna remember Aaron Judge for that drop all and how
- 41:35Speaker 7: it wound up leading them to a blown five zero lead.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Can you forget something if you don't remember it.
- 41:40Speaker 5: I was just about to say, lucky for you, Taylor,
- 41:42Speaker 5: I've already forgotten it.
- 41:45Speaker 7: And then my one from sports media, Colin Coward's take
- 41:48Speaker 7: of Hey Lebron, we're good. Simmons has got it from here.
- 41:54Speaker 7: I think Colin is one of the best to ever
- 41:58Speaker 7: do it. Oh, he's great, But I think if you're
- 42:00Speaker 7: a him, you want people to forget that date. We're good,
- 42:04Speaker 7: We're good lebron Ben Simmons has got it.
- 42:07Speaker 3: How about the year he went like going fifteen on
- 42:09Speaker 3: the blaze in five?
- 42:12Speaker 5: Already forgot that one. So it gives you a pickt you.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Take a lighter out and light your money on fire.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Let's go to We'll get to the calls in just
- 42:21Speaker 1: a second. I think he was out with fifteen.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Through three weeks.
- 42:24Speaker 4: I could be wrong.
- 42:25Speaker 3: What are you trying to tell me?
- 42:26Speaker 4: There is?
- 42:26Speaker 5: You go to line too?
- 42:27Speaker 1: I will, but I have to go to Dan first. Yeah,
- 42:31Speaker 1: he's out in Sherman Oaks with a sports update.
- 42:32Speaker 8: Now I'm excited here what line two? Scott's Hall of
- 42:35Speaker 8: Fame game today, Cardinals Panthers eight Eastern in Camton. No
- 42:39Speaker 8: practice today for Packers running back Josh Jacobs set out
- 42:42Speaker 8: with a groin injury. Speaking of running backs, Coltson tailback
- 42:45Speaker 8: Jonathan Taylor agreed to terms on a four year extension
- 42:47Speaker 8: worth forty four million dollars bucks GM. Jason Light weighing
- 42:51Speaker 8: in today on the plans for Vidavea who wants to trade.
- 42:54Speaker 11: Yeah, we love Vita. We've we've been engaged with his
- 42:58Speaker 11: agent recently. Don't want to I don't know how it's
- 43:02Speaker 11: gonna end, but we've been engaged and that's at least
- 43:07Speaker 11: some progress.
- 43:08Speaker 8: Yeah. Well, it also says that they believe that Baker
- 43:11Speaker 8: Mayfield is a franchise quarterback, that Fite not giving him
- 43:13Speaker 8: that contract extension that Baker wanted, and also said that
- 43:16Speaker 8: there's a possibility they could use the franchise tag on
- 43:19Speaker 8: Baker next offseason. Angels beat the Oriols today four to one,
- 43:22Speaker 8: Reds down the A six to five, Mets over the
- 43:24Speaker 8: Guardians thirteen to six. Brewers are up on the Pirates
- 43:27Speaker 8: five to two in the eighth while Dylan Ceeze has
- 43:29Speaker 8: struck out ten today. Blue Jays lead the Cubs to
- 43:31Speaker 8: nothing in the seventh, and the Tigers have jumped out
- 43:33Speaker 8: to a two to nothing lead on the Mariners. ESPN
- 43:36Speaker 8: says the Wizards and star Anthony Davis will wait until
- 43:38Speaker 8: the regular season to talk about a possible contract extension.
- 43:42Speaker 8: Finney Juniors signed a new six year deal with Real Madrid,
- 43:45Speaker 8: and Bo Hostler leads to the Windham Championship after a
- 43:48Speaker 8: round of sixty one. Today he's at nine under par.
- 43:50Speaker 8: Stew back to you, Thank you, Dan.
- 43:52Speaker 1: You think the Wizards are just waiting to see if
- 43:54Speaker 1: Anthony Davis shows up?
- 43:58Speaker 5: Well, he said he's gonna play eighty two games this year.
- 44:00Speaker 5: Is the biggest laugh I've gotten in a month.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Did you realize I'll get to the calls for a
- 44:03Speaker 1: second that Baker Mayfield disrespect me? Someone do this in
- 44:06Speaker 1: my lifetime. Disrespect me with a two year, one hundred
- 44:09Speaker 1: million dollar offer.
- 44:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I would like to go back and erase my
- 44:13Speaker 5: defense at Baker Mayfield. There After, he said he felt
- 44:15Speaker 5: disrespected because disrespect me with one hundred million dollar offer.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Please, that's what I'm saying.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I know he wanted the years, but it was two years,
- 44:22Speaker 1: one hundred million dollars, and from where he came from,
- 44:25Speaker 1: which was a backup quarterback for the La Rams. I
- 44:28Speaker 1: know what he's done for Tampa. Tampa's done a lot
- 44:30Speaker 1: for him. Two years, one hundred million dollars is not disrespectful.
- 44:34Speaker 1: But Baker needs to find.
- 44:35Speaker 5: The chip on his shoulder he always does. Yeah, it's there.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Yes, one hundred million dollars, fifty million dollars per season
- 44:42Speaker 1: eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. That is eight
- 44:45Speaker 1: seven to seven ninety nine on Fox. We'll go back
- 44:48Speaker 1: to the phones here. Let's go to a Phil in
- 44:50Speaker 1: Key West today. Phil, go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 44:54Speaker 10: Hey guys, great show.
- 44:55Speaker 14: I can't get the memory of the Houston Astros stealing
- 44:58Speaker 14: that World Series.
- 45:00Speaker 5: Uh the guy right, the guy rounding.
- 45:02Speaker 10: Third base holding the device under his jersey.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Al tuvo, Yeah, you're still there.
- 45:09Speaker 5: The main reason I wanted to go to you because
- 45:11Speaker 5: you were lying too, is because you're in Key West,
- 45:13Speaker 5: one of my favorite places in the world, and listening
- 45:15Speaker 5: to us in Key West sounds like a gorgeous day.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Yes, even though it's.
- 45:19Speaker 19: Raining, it's pretty awesome.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Oh geez, I can't say that.
- 45:24Speaker 4: We can.
- 45:24Speaker 3: It's so good that he had to curse.
- 45:26Speaker 5: And you know what, all the listeners will forget that,
- 45:29Speaker 5: that forget that that ever happened.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Right, It's pretty awesome. Just a decent day, but pretty
- 45:33Speaker 3: bleep it awesome.
- 45:34Speaker 6: I already snapped the Fano's fingers.
- 45:37Speaker 3: A whole different kind of day. Let's listen. Those are
- 45:42Speaker 3: the dangers of going to someone in Key West.
- 45:44Speaker 5: True, you know that, right?
- 45:45Speaker 4: True?
- 45:46Speaker 5: Always relaxing. Maybe a little too relax.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Yes, let's go to Emmett. Who's in Seattle today? Emmic,
- 45:52Speaker 1: go ahead, you're on Fox Sports radio.
- 45:55Speaker 17: Man.
- 45:55Speaker 16: They're making Christ work today with that dumb button.
- 45:57Speaker 5: But I got to you.
- 45:59Speaker 16: The one is the Seahawks in twenty fifteen in the
- 46:03Speaker 16: Super Bowl against the Patriots. Why did we throw the ball?
- 46:05Speaker 16: What are we doing? And then also, can we just
- 46:07Speaker 16: forget the New York Jets in the past fifteen years.
- 46:10Speaker 3: I've tried fans, Lord knows, no one has tried harder
- 46:14Speaker 3: than me. It is so yes, so bad.
- 46:17Speaker 5: It's so good, though it would make me forget that
- 46:19Speaker 5: Jason Taylor ever played for that franchise because right exists. Also, Chris,
- 46:23Speaker 5: how about that getting name dropped?
- 46:26Speaker 6: I but yeah, and it's a long time p went
- 46:29Speaker 6: around the Fox Sports radio waves.
- 46:31Speaker 7: He knows me.
- 46:31Speaker 5: Flairls.
- 46:32Speaker 4: Yeah you are.
- 46:34Speaker 1: You're really relying on the dump button today though you
- 46:36Speaker 1: are working hard, Chris, I feel bad for you.
- 46:39Speaker 6: No, this is this is this is nothing. This is
- 46:41Speaker 6: nothing compared to some of the other shows I've done.
- 46:43Speaker 1: I mean, but you have to be thinking the one
- 46:44Speaker 1: day these idiots take phone calls.
- 46:46Speaker 3: I have to be here.
- 46:47Speaker 6: I mean I did Dan Patrick this morning too, so
- 46:51Speaker 6: I this is like the end of like a nine
- 46:53Speaker 6: hour shift for me too.
- 46:55Speaker 3: What's it like going from Dan Patrick to us?
- 46:57Speaker 4: For me?
- 46:59Speaker 6: Well, you're more interacting if you talk to me, that's
- 47:01Speaker 6: for sure.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Well, I know, I know that. But he's way more professional,
- 47:04Speaker 3: he's polished, he's great at this.
- 47:06Speaker 6: I don't know. They spent two and a half of
- 47:08Speaker 6: their three hours talking about a wedding this morning. I
- 47:11Speaker 6: don't know. I don't know about that.
- 47:12Speaker 3: I mean, Taylor, that's playing the game correctly.
- 47:14Speaker 7: Now, you want more keys to the games.
- 47:19Speaker 5: DP, I mean Hall of Fame.
- 47:21Speaker 6: I want I want wall to wall coverage in the
- 47:24Speaker 6: Hall of Fame game, every every corner of the of
- 47:28Speaker 6: the fourth stringers that we'll see tonight.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Yes, well, Taylor, there's going to be tight end three
- 47:33Speaker 3: for the Panthers.
- 47:33Speaker 4: Well.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Taylor said earlier during one of our podcasts that he's
- 47:36Speaker 1: not going to tune in until the fourth quarter.
- 47:38Speaker 3: He likes to see guys fighting for jobs.
- 47:39Speaker 7: Yes, and what I'm going to be really looking at
- 47:41Speaker 7: is to see who could get off the field on
- 47:43Speaker 7: third dat.
- 47:44Speaker 5: I will say that I feel like those who are
- 47:48Speaker 5: regularly successful in fantasy football are big time preseason guys
- 47:53Speaker 5: because they'll take a flyer on somebody that nobody knows
- 47:55Speaker 5: had a huge third quarter in the second preseason game.
- 47:58Speaker 5: Next thing you know, he's one injured away from being,
- 48:01Speaker 5: you know, the most productive tight end of the week.
- 48:03Speaker 6: And gamblers too. You know, preseason is the pre season.
- 48:07Speaker 7: Yeah, when you guys think of preseason football, I don't
- 48:10Speaker 7: doubt either. But okay, yeah, there's only one player I
- 48:13Speaker 7: think of in the entire history of the NFL when
- 48:16Speaker 7: I think of preseason football.
- 48:17Speaker 5: Really, wait, wait, can I guess there's one?
- 48:19Speaker 7: You could guess?
- 48:20Speaker 5: Is it Ladanian? Tomlinson?
- 48:22Speaker 14: No?
- 48:22Speaker 3: I never played, Okay, all right, who is it?
- 48:26Speaker 7: The one player I think of when I think of
- 48:28Speaker 7: preseason football Victor Cruz. Because Victor Cruz almost came out
- 48:32Speaker 7: of nowhere that that Jets Giants game, and then after
- 48:35Speaker 7: that preseason game, it felt like Victor Cruz went from
- 48:38Speaker 7: like a bubble guy coming out of UMass to a
- 48:41Speaker 7: star to a star in the NFL. Yes, just because
- 48:43Speaker 7: of preseason football.
- 48:45Speaker 5: And because of a little salsa dance.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Yes, but he had a moment and he made the
- 48:48Speaker 1: most of it. He made the team right change his life. Yes,
- 48:50Speaker 1: that's what Taylor likes.
- 48:51Speaker 3: He's a walk on football player at North Carolina.
- 48:54Speaker 5: He likes those stories, true, but he doesn't love the
- 48:56Speaker 5: game enough to play flag football.
- 48:58Speaker 3: He doesn't love your game enough.
- 49:00Speaker 7: Yeah, I hated it.
- 49:03Speaker 8: I don't want to I don't want to step on you.
- 49:04Speaker 5: Stop showing up.
- 49:05Speaker 8: Yes, I don't want to step on Taylor's toes. But
- 49:08Speaker 8: I have an X factor tonight.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Okay, mother Nature, hold on, let's get the imaging. Please
- 49:14Speaker 1: fall on one second, Fox Imaging. Thank you X Factor tonight,
- 49:19Speaker 1: Mother Nature. There could be a thunderstorm late afternoon which
- 49:22Speaker 1: could cool temperatures tonight after a hot, muggy day in Campton, Ohio.
- 49:29Speaker 1: You're gonna throw it back to me, X factor. It's
- 49:41Speaker 1: an important update. I'm not taking the over now.
- 49:43Speaker 7: I'm gonna be looking at which team could could take
- 49:46Speaker 7: it one score at a time.
- 49:47Speaker 8: Yeah, and then.
- 49:50Speaker 7: Scared me.
- 49:51Speaker 4: What happened?
- 49:53Speaker 5: Just Taylor?
- 49:55Speaker 1: So what Chris is doing there is anytime we talk football,
- 49:57Speaker 1: talk about tonight's game, he's gonna hit that music. That's
- 49:59Speaker 1: good producing. He just came in a little bit loud,
- 50:01Speaker 1: a little hot, you know what I'm saying.
- 50:03Speaker 3: And Stu.
- 50:03Speaker 7: There's gonna be so many players shuffling in and shuffling out,
- 50:07Speaker 7: And when the Cardinals and the Panthers take battle tonight,
- 50:10Speaker 7: I'm gonna be keeping an eye on which team plays
- 50:12Speaker 7: a full sixty minutes.
- 50:14Speaker 5: Wow, what if mother nature gets in the way and
- 50:17Speaker 5: the game is shortened to like forty five minutes, which
- 50:19Speaker 5: it could be.
- 50:20Speaker 7: Yeah, probably just cancel the game and not come back
- 50:22Speaker 7: out after a thunder warning.
- 50:24Speaker 4: I'd be okay with that.
- 50:27Speaker 5: I also say take the over on Carson Becks numbers,
- 50:30Speaker 5: because that dude is all about big potential and big
- 50:33Speaker 5: hype and then not really coming through.
- 50:35Speaker 3: So take the over.
- 50:35Speaker 5: That's what I said. I'm what on whatever numbers.
- 50:38Speaker 7: It's thirty five and a half. I like the Panthers
- 50:40Speaker 7: tonight because the Panthers have Kenny Pickett starting and then
- 50:44Speaker 7: Haines King from Georgia Tech behind him. I like what
- 50:48Speaker 7: the Panthers are doing in Matt Canalis's offense.
- 50:54Speaker 5: They do player props in preseason games.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Yes, I know he said it earlier, but I'm still
- 50:57Speaker 1: surprised that Kenny Picketts a Carolina Panther.
- 51:03Speaker 8: Yes, Dan, you know, as an update anchor, we always
- 51:05Speaker 8: try to grab your attention right away when our mics
- 51:08Speaker 8: are working and you know, you try to say something,
- 51:11Speaker 8: maybe something catchy. I have a feeling like today in
- 51:15Speaker 8: Phoenix they're like beck to football, but in Charlotte the
- 51:22Speaker 8: cats out of the bag.
- 51:28Speaker 5: To be fair, then I never paid more attention to
- 51:30Speaker 5: you than when I couldn't hear your voice.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Yes, this is the danger of doing something like that.
- 51:34Speaker 1: I'll want you to do one for every regular season game.
- 51:36Speaker 8: Okay, Dan, I.
- 51:39Speaker 7: Don't know if you noticed, but Jeremiah Love will not
- 51:42Speaker 7: be playing for the Cardinals tonight, so no love loss,
- 51:47Speaker 7: there will be no love found.
- 51:49Speaker 3: He can keep that, right, Taylor, if he needs it, you.
- 51:51Speaker 7: Can have that one for free.
- 51:52Speaker 8: Dan, Thank you very much.
- 51:56Speaker 1: What a ridiculous show. Keep the music going, football all starting.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Let's go to mow in Arizona totally unehsssar Mo.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Go ahead, You're on Fox Sports Radio. But I loved it.
- 52:09Speaker 17: Hey, I was gonna go with the defense of forty
- 52:12Speaker 17: nine Ers could have played any play on Hartman in
- 52:15Speaker 17: that Super Bowl, but I gotta go with Kobe Bryant
- 52:19Speaker 17: had maybe taken.
- 52:20Speaker 5: An uber that day, different game.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I can't change the uh, you know, the mode of transportation.
- 52:27Speaker 5: Honestly, the best answer, the best change of anybody. But
- 52:31Speaker 5: all we're doing is forgetting stuff. So you would have
- 52:33Speaker 5: been like, man, where's Kobe? What happened to right? Kind of?
- 52:37Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 52:37Speaker 3: Yeah, because Kobe would never quit playing basketball?
- 52:39Speaker 4: Right right? Right? You know, just yes, well, yeah he
- 52:42Speaker 4: was retired. Yeah, oh that's right. I'm sorry, Yeah, he
- 52:45Speaker 4: was retired.
- 52:46Speaker 3: He did quit playing basketball.
- 52:47Speaker 5: Actually, it would be a Hugkking situation where you'd just
- 52:50Speaker 5: be like, what happened to Kobe? Did you just go
- 52:52Speaker 5: up and live on some private island?
- 52:54Speaker 3: Thank you for reminding me. I've been trying to forget it.
- 52:56Speaker 4: That's what's fine.
- 52:57Speaker 5: It's a very confusing day.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Let's go to Cody from Oregon. Cody, go ahead, you're
- 53:04Speaker 1: on Fox Sports Radio.
- 53:06Speaker 20: Hey guys, First of all, thanks for taking my call.
- 53:08Speaker 5: Three things really fast.
- 53:09Speaker 20: I want to double down on Judge dropping the gabble
- 53:13Speaker 20: at the worst time possible. Yeah, and then Dan Patrick,
- 53:18Speaker 20: you got to let him have it.
- 53:19Speaker 5: It's his daughter's first wedding.
- 53:20Speaker 20: She might have a couple more after that, but it's
- 53:22Speaker 20: number one.
- 53:23Speaker 1: No, No, I'm not blaming Dan Patrick. I'm saying he
- 53:25Speaker 1: does this a lot better than we do.
- 53:27Speaker 3: That's all. He's a professional, he's a Hall.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Of Famer, and he should be talking about weddings, especially
- 53:32Speaker 1: in early August.
- 53:33Speaker 5: You know, absolutely.
- 53:35Speaker 20: And then the reason I called was the NOLA no
- 53:38Speaker 20: call the NFC the twenty nineteen NFC Championship game Rams Saints,
- 53:44Speaker 20: the no call pass interference that just changed the ruling,
- 53:49Speaker 20: the reshaped the rule making of the NFL.
- 53:52Speaker 5: It deeply impacted the game. Yeah, I'd like to take
- 53:55Speaker 5: that further and forget that whole PI review that used
- 53:59Speaker 5: to have for a couple of years. Right where they
- 54:01Speaker 5: did they took it to the booth to see if
- 54:03Speaker 5: something was a PI or not. That was just one
- 54:05Speaker 5: of the worst rule changes just because of one terrible call.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Right, are they playing the game correctly, Taylor?
- 54:11Speaker 7: Did you say Vikings?
- 54:12Speaker 4: I think so?
- 54:13Speaker 7: Yeah, Yeah, that was Saints rans from what I remember.
- 54:15Speaker 5: And then it was already halfway so forgetting it.
- 54:17Speaker 7: And then it led to the Minneapolis Miracle. If I
- 54:20Speaker 7: remember correctly.
- 54:22Speaker 3: You knew, and I think we're changing rules though that's
- 54:24Speaker 3: not the game.
- 54:24Speaker 8: Go ahead, Dan, Yeah, no, there was a different years
- 54:26Speaker 8: because who was the year prior that was Minneapolis Miracle?
- 54:30Speaker 8: Because that was Super Bowl fifty two that the Eagles
- 54:33Speaker 8: ended up going to in beating the Vikings on their
- 54:35Speaker 8: way to do it. However, the caller did get it
- 54:37Speaker 8: right and not changing that the Saints won the game,
- 54:40Speaker 8: but he was right and they did make the rule change,
- 54:42Speaker 8: which I honestly only lasted a couple of weeks. I
- 54:45Speaker 8: remember the Seahawks really benefited from a call against the
- 54:48Speaker 8: Steelers in Week two and the NFL is kind of
- 54:50Speaker 8: like this kind of ridiculous and calling pass interference on replay,
- 54:53Speaker 8: so they kind of policed themselves the rest of the way,
- 54:56Speaker 8: but it did change the rule. He's right about that.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Can you your memory and your tension stops showing off?
- 55:01Speaker 8: I was just lucky it happen to be in a
- 55:05Speaker 8: Seahawks game. I think it was Tyler Lockett like drew
- 55:08Speaker 8: a p I call that was totally unnecessary.
- 55:10Speaker 1: So yes, yes, uh Dan. How do you feel about
- 55:13Speaker 1: the rams of the field as a Seahawk fan.
- 55:17Speaker 3: I'm just wondering. I like the.
- 55:18Speaker 8: Seahawks underdog, uh factor, but not as much as the Panthers.
- 55:23Speaker 8: Tonight in that Hall of Fame game against the Cardinals
- 55:29Speaker 8: by a whisker, Carolina wins Hey, Hey, I'm.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Not gonna lie.
- 55:34Speaker 5: I like Taylor sound better. It sounds a little staticky,
- 55:38Speaker 5: but for some reason, I'm getting panthers.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Hold on, let's hear the real sound first play. Let's
- 55:44Speaker 1: hear Taylor. Yeah, so much better. Let's go to Uh
- 55:55Speaker 1: Will from North Carolina. Will go ahead, You're on Fox
- 55:58Speaker 1: Sports Radio.
- 56:00Speaker 16: Will's my alter ego.
- 56:01Speaker 19: I'm actually a Steve Lyons of the Chicago White Sox.
- 56:05Speaker 19: I really wish everyone in the whole world.
- 56:07Speaker 16: Could forget that day slid headfirst into first base. It
- 56:11Speaker 16: dropped and brought the whole nations.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 56:15Speaker 5: Wait, this isn't really Steve Lyons.
- 56:16Speaker 1: No, he was playing the game. That's playing the game correctly.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I'll call again.
- 56:19Speaker 5: Is the guy us memory you want to raise? I,
- 56:22Speaker 5: for one, would not like to forget that. That was
- 56:24Speaker 5: one of my early baseball memories. And uh yeah, I
- 56:27Speaker 5: think it was the Only reason I want to forget
- 56:30Speaker 5: it is because I feel like, and this is a
- 56:32Speaker 5: theory that I've had my entire life. I feel like
- 56:34Speaker 5: he did it on purpose, that it wasn't an accident.
- 56:36Speaker 5: I feel like he's a bad actor.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Well, I feel like Will's okay remembering that he just
- 56:39Speaker 1: wanted to go away for Steve Lyons.
- 56:41Speaker 5: Nah, yes, that there wasn't Will.
- 56:42Speaker 4: That was Steve Lyons.
- 56:44Speaker 5: He actually has that.
- 56:46Speaker 3: He said, alter ego, I think live radio.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike and Miami. Mike, go ahead, You're
- 56:52Speaker 1: on Fox Sports Radio.
- 56:55Speaker 9: As a Miami Hurricane.
- 56:57Speaker 10: San, I'd like to forget Terry Porter making that as
- 57:00Speaker 10: passing appearance call at the end of the two thousand
- 57:03Speaker 10: and three Fiesta Bowl the Kains national title.
- 57:07Speaker 3: It did you still lose it?
- 57:08Speaker 4: Though?
- 57:09Speaker 3: You realize that, right, I lose that. You just forget
- 57:11Speaker 3: why I lost it?
- 57:12Speaker 5: Like Barren Square, it would have been got Rob. That's like,
- 57:16Speaker 5: there's a big difference exactly. You know, you're right, and
- 57:19Speaker 5: I'm totally with you too, because the main thing that
- 57:21Speaker 5: gets me upset about that is my basketball fandom really
- 57:26Speaker 5: started in the early nineties, and I remember Terry Porter,
- 57:29Speaker 5: the basketball player, and everybody that from Miami seems to
- 57:32Speaker 5: remember this referee as the original Terry Porter, and I'm
- 57:35Speaker 5: just like, no, No, that was a great basketball player
- 57:38Speaker 5: named Terry Porter. Let me tell you all about him.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Yes, please do go ahead now, that's all right.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Clyde Drexler, Kevin Duckworth. Right, Jerome Kersey, you're.
- 57:45Speaker 3: In my wheelhouse right now. Man, Hey, what do you
- 57:48Speaker 3: got buyer?
- 57:49Speaker 8: Buck Williams brought over in a trade from the Nats
- 57:52Speaker 8: too in the later Blazer years.
- 57:54Speaker 3: Yes, I was going to say that, I'm just showing
- 57:56Speaker 3: off my memory and retention.
- 57:57Speaker 4: How about that?
- 57:58Speaker 3: Yes, Ella, Stu.
- 58:00Speaker 7: When you came back to sports radio, Yeah, and I said,
- 58:03Speaker 7: what would be your ideal day on sports radio?
- 58:05Speaker 4: We're having it.
- 58:06Speaker 7: It would be taking fifty five calls.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Oh, this is heaven. I mean, this is the fastest
- 58:10Speaker 1: foot full of this sport stuff. What a spa a
- 58:13Speaker 1: two hour sprint of phone call. I want this to
- 58:15Speaker 1: be every day. I'll never forget today.
- 58:18Speaker 8: You could try to.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Erase it from my memory and you won't be able
- 58:21Speaker 1: to all that.
- 58:22Speaker 8: I love the Steve Lyons call. And the reason being
- 58:24Speaker 8: is because we've went from the off season to the
- 58:27Speaker 8: golf season. Lions all off the preseason next week against
- 58:30Speaker 8: the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati.
- 58:34Speaker 3: Did you just snap your fingers?
- 58:35Speaker 4: He did?
- 58:37Speaker 3: We went the tailor. It's the Battle of the Cats.
- 58:47Speaker 5: Real what we went from having absolutely no control of
- 58:50Speaker 5: what was happening with the show to Dan Byer getting
- 58:52Speaker 5: sound with a snap of a finger.
- 58:54Speaker 3: What an amazing show. This is Heaven Sports Radio.
- 58:57Speaker 5: Heaven right now.
- 58:58Speaker 3: I could stay here and do this for five more hour.
- 59:00Speaker 5: No, you couldn't you run that.
- 59:02Speaker 7: I've got Felipe Franks anytime touchdown tonight for the Carolina Panthers.
- 59:11Speaker 3: I don't know if that helped, But let's go to
- 59:14Speaker 3: Dwayne from Ohio. Dwayne, go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 59:20Speaker 19: Yeah, can we as a Kentucky fan, can we forget
- 59:24Speaker 19: about the Lightner shot Kentucky Duke ninety one or whatever?
- 59:27Speaker 19: It would save a lot of my family members. You
- 59:29Speaker 19: know a lot of ulcers that way, right, Yeah.
- 59:32Speaker 3: So you still lose the game. You just don't want
- 59:34Speaker 3: to know how you lost it, right.
- 59:35Speaker 19: Just just beat me because it issued in a whole
- 59:39Speaker 19: era of smugness and just pain, you know, because they
- 59:42Speaker 19: play it every year during the Final four.
- 59:45Speaker 8: So they have to.
- 59:46Speaker 3: Yes, it's an all time moment. Yeah, they have to
- 59:48Speaker 3: play it.
- 59:49Speaker 5: And it's Duke.
- 59:50Speaker 1: That's it's so funny. He made the face. The thing
- 59:53Speaker 1: I remember most. I remember exactly where I was when
- 59:55Speaker 1: Laightner hit that shot.
- 59:57Speaker 3: I was in Wister Mass. I was at my.
- 59:58Speaker 1: House one ninety four, du sitting on the couch watching
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: the game with my roommate Chris Gordon.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: And the thing I remember most is not the shot.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: It's Thomas Hill's face and his reaction to Latner hitting
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: that shot.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: He couldn't believe it.
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: He had his hands behind his head and he was crying.
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: Not as if Kristin Laightner made the shot. He was
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: crying as if Christian Layler passed away on the court.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: That's what his face looked like. It was that level
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: of just wholly believe what just happened.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: If you just had a screenshot of his face, you
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: wouldn't know if something amazing happened or the most tragic
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: day of his life, just the most traumatic injury he's
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: ever seen just happen right in front of him. Yes,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Oh gosh, let's go out to uh Steve in Indiana today.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: Steve, go ahead, You're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 1:00:44Speaker 14: Hey, guys, a great topic. I'm driving to my daughter's
- 1:00:48Speaker 14: wedding rehearsal. So I've appreciated Sam Pastrick wedding pots. Twenty
- 1:00:56Speaker 14: seventeen stealers in Cincinnati, Ryan Chasey are breaking his back.
- 1:01:00Speaker 14: That team was loaded. They were fired on all cylinders
- 1:01:02Speaker 14: with a lot of great players on that team, Antonio Brown
- 1:01:06Speaker 14: and hold it together. Martavius Bryant hadn't falling apart yet.
- 1:01:10Speaker 19: It was a great team.
- 1:01:11Speaker 14: And you could just see, you know, when he broke
- 1:01:13Speaker 14: his back. So I did raise that memory of the
- 1:01:15Speaker 14: traumatic watching that happen on TV.
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: All right, it's quite the transition from Thomas Hill looking
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: like he just watched the most traumatic injury to the
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: most traumatic injury that he's experienced.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Thank you for the call, Steven. Congratulations to you. Exciting
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: weekend coming up. I dread those weekends.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: Exciting weekends.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: My daughter's getting married. I don't know why I do.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: I should look forward to them, right, I.
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: Probably got a few years from that, But yeah, that's
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: that's probably a stressful day for a debt.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: It has to be right, and an expensive one.
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: Well, I had to pay for my own wedding, and
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: yeah it was damn expensive.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Well, take a quick time out, Nick, Dave, Brent, everyone
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: stay right there. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Get back to your calls in a second. Eight seven
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: seven ninety nine on Fox. Earned the break. I'm watching
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the Windom Championship.
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: How was Wyndam Clark not playing in this.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: A couple of windoms, uh and as he saw Jordan
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Speith on the screen and said, oh, I think I
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: have one.
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: Yeah, how did we not think of this one?
- 1:02:13Speaker 13: Dan?
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: When we were talking about the Jean van Derveld. One
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: was the twenty sixteen collapse from Jordan Speith. First of all,
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: I forgot, so I'm halfway there already, Yeah that it
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: was as bad as it was, it was really bad.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: He was up five shots with nine holes to play
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: and looking to go back to back and then it
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: goes bogey bogey and then he hits it and shoots
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: it into Ray's Creek on the twelfth yep, and it's
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: a quadruple bogie. Yes, And it was you know, he
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: went from a guy who was he was already my
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: favorite golfer at the time, but he could have you know,
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: started a crazy streak. And if you forget just the
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: choke job, just how he lost, then maybe it doesn't
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: you know, apply that much pressure the next time, and
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: maybe you're not as you know, nervous the next time
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: and he can continue his you know, assent.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: So we'll go to Dan in a second.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: That's interesting from a golfer's perspective, you forget that you've choked.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: You also don't have a million people looking.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: At you like you are a choker.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: And so if you can forget all that, perhaps he
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: goes on to have the career we thought he was
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: going to have. He's still a Hall of Famer. I mean,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: he's one win away from, you know, completing the career major,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: but a second Master's there. I didn't realize it was
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: a five shot lead Dan with nine holes to go,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: and he put it in the creek twice.
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: Yeah, Danny Willett went on to win that one, which
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: I don't think people really remember. They more remember it
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: for the speed thing. But here's what I would just
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: counter to that is that's part of the speF experience
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: and the collapse of sixteen twenty seventeen. He goes and
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: wins the Open Championship and I are thinking, hey, Jordan
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: Speed is back today. He hit went out of bounds
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: with an iron, So like, this is all of what
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: Jordan Speith is. Yeah, at the top of the game,
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: but there's at times when you have no idea what
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: you may get. So I would like to not forget
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: that because.
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: That's a great point because what that started the conversation
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: with got me thinking was that can we just stop
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: showing him in the first two round because every time
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: he's on my TV, he's just disappointing me.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but Dan is saying, there's no need to erase
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: it from his memory.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: He went on and won a major afterwards, he erased
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: it from his own memory, right, Yeah, but he hasn't
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: done anything since that open.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: That's well, doesn't matter.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: You tell it.
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: You guys, want my player to watch tonight?
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: Please? Yes, music?
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Please?
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: My player to watch tonight is cornerback Will Lee. The
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: third the Panther's fourth round pick, got great length, isn't
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: afraid to get his hands on receivers, and he loves
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: to set the tone at the line of scrimmage. He's
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: got a nose for the football and traits you just
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: can't coach. That's why I'm taking Carson Beck over half
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: an interception.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: Settle Land just a little bit football?
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: Is Beck Length?
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Let's go to uh hold up that number again?
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: Is he?
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Let's go to uh?
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: Nick?
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Who's in Connecticut today? Nick? Go ahead, you're on Fox
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: Sports Radio.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Hey, guys, what's going on?
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: What's up, man.
- 1:05:03Speaker 15: I live in Connecticut, in the heart of Patriots Country,
- 1:05:06Speaker 15: and I'm sadly a Falcons fan, So I'd like to
- 1:05:08Speaker 15: forget the twenty eight to three score. I don't want
- 1:05:11Speaker 15: to forget the Super Bowl to take the loss, but
- 1:05:13Speaker 15: I just want to forget the score.
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: Yeah, their score, right, there's no worse super Bowl lost
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: than that one. There's a punch of teams that can
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: proudly say they've lost the Super Bowl.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Why not just forget the second half and that way,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: you're just left with twenty eight to three at half
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: time and there's no way they're going to blow it.
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: You know, in your mind, You're like, we had to
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: have won that game.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's been.
- 1:05:33Speaker 15: A spider man, and I don't think I've gone a
- 1:05:35Speaker 15: week without hearing the score twenty eight to three.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: Yeah. Well sorry, man, I mean try being a Jeff Fann.
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: What was the most recent comeback where Tom Brady said
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: that was better than twenty eight to.
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: Three the Knicks?
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: Maybe?
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: No, it was Messi's come back in the World Cup.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: It was.
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: That's right, That's right, it was, Which is not better? Ridiculous?
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Take Yeah, what does Brady doing?
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: What does he know?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: I'd like to raise the World Cup from my memory.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Let's go to Brent in Ohio. Brent, go ahead, it's.
- 1:06:03Speaker 21: Due fellow deadhead man since ninety five. I'm so happy
- 1:06:08Speaker 21: to talk to you.
- 1:06:08Speaker 20: Man.
- 1:06:09Speaker 21: This is awesome. I've called him a few times about Hawaii,
- 1:06:13Speaker 21: and my thing is Hawaii was zero and ten playing
- 1:06:18Speaker 21: Michigan about twenty years ago. And I went to a
- 1:06:21Speaker 21: Michigan party and all the Michigan people were there and
- 1:06:25Speaker 21: we were down twenty eight seven, twenty seven and something
- 1:06:28Speaker 21: like that. Anyway, long story short.
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: In.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Hawaii had twenty seconds.
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: Brent, go ahead.
- 1:06:37Speaker 21: They said, Michigan's putting their first screen back in again,
- 1:06:40Speaker 21: and we got We.
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: Went zero eleven that year. Yeah. Mostly pretty much everybody's
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: already for that.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Let's be honest.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: We're dead heads, Brent, and pretty much, whether we like
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: it or not, all our memories have faded the black
