How did I do? Lucas: Perfect! You nailed those. So today, let's complete the week with Sunday – እሁድ. And we'll talk about the weekend. Luna: እሁድ – that's Sunday. I love that sound. Can you say it again? Lucas: Sure: እሁድ. Slowly: እሁድ. Now you try. Luna: እሁድ. How was that? Lucas: Great! So to say 'Today is Sunday', we say ዛሬ እሁድ ነው. ዛሬ you know – today. እሁድ ነው – is Sunday. Luna: ዛሬ እሁድ ነው. Today is Sunday. Simple! Lucas: Exactly. Now, Sunday is often a day of rest. So we can say እሁድ እረፍት ነው – Sunday is a holiday or rest day. Luna: እሁድ እረፍት ነው. So if someone asks me what I do on Sunday, how do I answer? Lucas: Good question. First, learn to ask: እሁድ ምን ታደርጋለህ? – What do you do on Sunday? Luna: እሁድ ምን ታደርጋለህ? That's a mouthful. Let me try: እሁድ ምን ታደርጋለህ? Lucas: You got it. And you can answer: እረፍት አደርጋለሁ – I rest. Or ከቤተሰብ ጋር እቆያለሁ – I stay with family. Luna: That's so useful. So if tomorrow is Sunday, I'd say ነገ እሁድ ነው. Right? Lucas: Exactly! ነገ እሁድ ነው – Tomorrow is Sunday. You're building sentences already. Luna: This is fun. Okay, let me practice the whole set: እሁድ, ዛሬ እሁድ ነው, እሁድ እረፍት ነው, ነገ እሁድ ነው, እሁድ ምን ታደርጋለህ? Lucas: Wow, you said all five perfectly! I'm impressed. Luna: Thanks! Lucas: I'd say: እረፍት አደርጋለሁ እና ቡና እጠጣለሁ – I rest and drink coffee. Your turn: what do you do on Sunday? Luna: Umm... ከጓደኞቼ ጋር እቆያለሁ – I stay with my friends. How was that? Lucas: Excellent! You used ከጓደኞቼ ጋር – with my friends. That's a great phrase. Luna: So now I know all seven days in Amharic! Let me list them: ሰኞ, ማክሰኞ, ረቡዕ, ሐሙስ, አርብ, ቅዳሜ, እሁድ. Did I miss one?
