- 0:00Chapter 27 from the book of Isaiah.
- 0:04Dear Lord please help us with this chapter.
- 0:08As always be with us and please give me thoughts and wisdom
- 0:14through the Holy Spirit as we talk through this chapter and
- 0:19help us to understand and apply these things to our lives and to
- 0:23make a difference in us. After we read through this, we
- 0:27ask for this in Jesus name, Amen.
- 0:31So in that day, this is talking about the second coming, the
- 0:35return of Jesus, the return, the Messiah arrival.
- 0:40That's what this is talking about.
- 0:42And again, this is in the Old Testament, like every chapter, I
- 0:45think is really almost every chapter just seems like has been
- 0:50but relevant are talking about Jesus.
- 0:54So in that day the Lord will punish with his sword, his
- 0:59fierce, great and powerful sword, Leviathan, the gliding
- 1:04serpent, Leviathan, the coiling serpent.
- 1:08He will slay the monster of the sea.
- 1:12Well, you know, as soon as you hear that, there's just so much
- 1:16that you know comes up. Well, the study Bible says what
- 1:22was Leviathan Myths from Myths from several ancient Near
- 1:28Eastern nations tell of a God defeating of a God defeating a
- 1:34sea monster, including leviathan in Canaanite versions so that
- 1:40order could prevail in creation. Here, similar words seem to
- 1:45portray an image of an end time battle in which God defeats all
- 1:49his enemies. Well, obviously the study Bible
- 1:53doesn't take this literal. And I would think, you know,
- 1:57because it calls it a myth. And I would probably think about
- 2:02calling it a myth too, except for when we get to Job, Job in
- 2:10the book of Job, when God is talking about there's, there's
- 2:15just so many things. And we'll get to that too,
- 2:17because I don't want to get out of order from the things that
- 2:19I've saved. But Job talks about this.
- 2:23The Lord talks about this with Job.
- 2:27He mentions Leviathan and the details that he gives about
- 2:30Leviathan. Actually, I don't even know if I
- 2:33searched that part. So I'm going to do it now, but
- 2:37the the details that he gives like this is again, where I
- 2:41think critical thinking is important because if if this was
- 2:48just a myth, do you think that God would spend time talking so
- 2:56much about Leviathan? So he says, let's see, yeah, OK,
- 3:08I'm going to just read this to you.
- 3:10So this is in Job chapter 41 and this is the Lord, I guess the
- 3:17Lord challenging. Yeah, the Lord said to Job and
- 3:22he goes on it's it it starts in chapter 40 and then it goes to
- 3:27chapter 41. But I'm going to start reading
- 3:29there because that's where it talks about Leviathan.
- 3:32So would God inspire with the Holy Spirit, inspire someone to
- 3:38write all this down if it was just a myth?
- 3:42Like the Bible is not a fairy tale story book for our
- 3:46entertainment. It's not that it is there to
- 3:50tell us the truth. And so why would you put a myth
- 3:57in there? So I'll read it.
- 4:00Can you pull in Leviathan with a fish hook or tie down its tongue
- 4:06with a rope? Can you cord through its nose or
- 4:11Pierce its jaw with a hook? Will it keep begging you for
- 4:14mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle
- 4:17words? Will it make an agreement with
- 4:19you to take for you to take it as your slave for life?
- 4:25Can you make a part of it like a bird, or put it on a leash, or
- 4:29for the young women in your in your house?
- 4:32Will traders barter for it? Will they divide it up among the
- 4:35merchants? Can you fill its hide with
- 4:38harpoons, or its head with fishing Spears?
- 4:42If you lay a hand on it, you will remember the struggle and
- 4:45never do it again. Any hope of subduing it is
- 4:49false. The mere sight of its of it is
- 4:53overpowering. No one is fierce enough to rouse
- 4:57it. Who then is able to stand
- 4:59against me? Who has a claim against me that
- 5:02I must pay? Everything under the heaven
- 5:04belongs to me. Now remember, this is the Lord
- 5:06talking to Job. I will not fail to speak of
- 5:10Leviathan's limbs, its strength, and its graceful form.
- 5:15Who can strip off its outer coat?
- 5:17Who can penetrate its double coat of armor?
- 5:21Who dares open the doors of its mouth, ringed about with
- 5:25fearsome teeth? Its back has rows of Shields
- 5:30tightly sealed together, each so close to the next that no air
- 5:36can pass between. They are joined fast to one
- 5:39another. They cling together and cannot
- 5:41be parted. Its snorting throws out flashes
- 5:45of light. Its eyes are like the rays of
- 5:49dawn. Flames stream from its mouth,
- 5:53sparks of fire shoot out. Smoke pours from its nostrils as
- 5:59from a boiling pot over burning reeds.
- 6:02Its breath sets coals ablaze and flames dart from its mouth.
- 6:07Strength resides in its neck. Dismay goes before it.
- 6:12The folds of its flesh are tightly joined.
- 6:15They are firm and immovable. The chest is hard as a rock,
- 6:20hard as a lower millstone. When it rises up the mighty are
- 6:24terrified. They retreat before its
- 6:26thrashing. The sword that reaches it has no
- 6:28effect, nor does the spear or the dart are the javelin Iron it
- 6:34treats like straw and bronze like rotten wood.
- 6:38Arrows do not make it flee. Sling stones are like chaff to
- 6:42it. A club seems seems to it, but a
- 6:47beat piece of straw. It laughs at the rattling of the
- 6:51Lance. Its undersides are jagged pot
- 6:54shirts, leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.
- 6:59It makes depths churn like a boiling cauldron and stirs up
- 7:05the sea like a pot of ointment. It leaves a glistening wake
- 7:10behind it. One would think the deep had
- 7:13white hair. Nothing on earth is its equal.
- 7:18A creature without fear. It looks down on all that are
- 7:24haughty. It is a king over all that are
- 7:27proud. So what?
- 7:31You know, like we'd have to ask ourselves if this is symbolic.
- 7:38What is all this symbolism about?
- 7:41Like I you can, you can believe it's symbolic.
- 7:46And then I would challenge you to come up with a reason for all
- 7:50of what was described. Again, this is not for our
- 7:53entertainment. This is not poetry to just think
- 7:57about and say, oh, wasn't that beautiful how those words went
- 8:00together? No, this is like, they may have
- 8:02written it that way, but it's not you.
- 8:08I think there's some discernment here that these things should be
- 8:14considered. It's really interesting.
- 8:16It says it is king over all that are proud.
- 8:19So I wonder, is this some kind of, is it, is it just a creature
- 8:23or is it maybe something demonic or evil?
- 8:31I, you know, maybe it's just a creature and maybe it no longer
- 8:35exists. And this is, there's a lot of
- 8:37weird stuff that I also found because I started, I was just
- 8:39questioning this myself, like is it really real?
- 8:43Or is it just, you know, what is it?
- 8:45And and then I found other references to it.
- 8:48And it what I thought was interesting from this chapter
- 8:53though, was that it says it it is king over all that are proud.
- 8:57And we know that that's one of the things that God hates like
- 9:01haughty eyes, our proud look. So pride is something that God
- 9:05really hates. So this this beast of whatever
- 9:09it is, whether it's a spiritual entity that has a physical
- 9:13manifestation, if it's some creature that God created one
- 9:17time, but then he destroyed it. And this is interesting too,
- 9:20because was in when you go back to I guess when I looked up the
- 9:27Leviathan, I now I lost that place where I looked it up.
- 9:36OK, I have to that one up again. So Leviathan, when it occurs in
- 9:46the Bible like 6 times I think. Yeah, 6 times.
- 9:50And it first of all, it's in Job.
- 9:52Job talks about it. It says may those who curse days
- 9:55curse that day, those who are ready to rouse Leviathan.
- 10:00And then, you know, you get into the questioning and Job for
- 10:03chapter 41 about pulling Leviathan in with a fish hook.
- 10:08Now, in the Psalms they talk about Leviathan and it says it
- 10:14was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave it as food to
- 10:21the creatures of the desert. So then, you know, that's the
- 10:26Psalms are things that David wrote.
- 10:30And so I'm thinking this was a long time ago.
- 10:32And then he, you know, he's saying like you crushed the
- 10:35heads of Leviathan. And when I heard that too, I was
- 10:39like the heads plural. And I don't know if that's just
- 10:42a translation thing. It could just be head of
- 10:46Leviathan. But then when I saw heads, I was
- 10:48like, oh gosh, that makes me think about Revelation and the
- 10:51beast that comes up out of the sea, which I know is symbolic.
- 10:55But but I think that some of these things that are, you know,
- 10:59sometimes they're physical, but they're also spiritual.
- 11:03Like, again, I've said this so many times before, that a
- 11:06literal thing on earth can have a symbolic spiritual meaning,
- 11:13just like the Passover and the blood of the lamb on the
- 11:16doorpost. That is, that was a literal
- 11:19thing that they did, but it had a symbolic significance pointing
- 11:23to Jesus on the cross. So this time it's, you know, was
- 11:29there this creature Leviathan? I mean, we had dinosaurs at one
- 11:34time. And so if we had dinosaurs and
- 11:36they don't exist anymore, then could perhaps Leviathan also
- 11:41have existed? And was there something, I mean,
- 11:43we get all these, where do you think all these stories come
- 11:46about about these Dragons that blow out smoke from their
- 11:49nostrils or they breathe fire and all this stuff?
- 11:53Maybe they were actual beings. You know, we, we have them
- 11:58written down as myths. And that's what I don't know if
- 12:02people just, I don't know, I guess as years go by, they're
- 12:05like, it doesn't exist today. So people think there's no way
- 12:08that existed. It doesn't exist today, but
- 12:11maybe it doesn't exist because something happened just like
- 12:16dinosaurs. I mean, I don't think we doubt
- 12:18that dinosaurs existed on this Earth, but they're not walking
- 12:21around right now in places. So we don't see it, but we've
- 12:25we've found proof of it. Maybe the sea creature it's, you
- 12:27know, so far down in the ocean that you don't really have
- 12:31evidence because the oceans are as deep as they are.
- 12:35But anyway, so it does say that this this was crushed at one
- 12:40time. And so that's something that is
- 12:44just interesting. And then there's another line in
- 12:46Psalms one O 4 that says there the ships go to and fro and
- 12:51Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.
- 12:55So this is almost like acknowledging it's not like, I
- 12:58mean, why would somebody say this to God?
- 13:01If it's this this myth or something, why would they say,
- 13:03well, you formed it And that was, you know, it's kind of his
- 13:06playground. That was where it was the ships
- 13:08go out there and that's where that that beast thing is.
- 13:13And then we get to Isaiah 27 that we're reading to day.
- 13:16In that day the Lord will punish with his sword, His fierce,
- 13:20great and powerful sword, Leviathan, the gliding serpent.
- 13:24Leviathan the coiling serpent. He will slay the monster of the
- 13:28sea. Well, a lot of these things,
- 13:32when you start digging into it, you start seeing that these
- 13:36things have multiple meanings or multiple names.
- 13:41And in some parts when you get into like go to
- 13:44blueletterbible.org and look these things up.
- 13:47And when you use the tool button on the left side of the verses,
- 13:52you can see the original Greek or Hebrew, depending on which
- 13:57part of the Bible you're in. And then you can see all the
- 14:00different times in the Bible where that word is used.
- 14:03You can also look up the pronunciation of it and the
- 14:06definition of it and how it's used biblically, biblically.
- 14:10I mean, it's a great resource if you want to.
- 14:12And that's what I did getting all this information this
- 14:16morning. I went through all of that.
- 14:18So this Leviathan I after all of that, I do believe it was an
- 14:24actual thing. It was an actual thing that
- 14:27lived. And it's also referred to as a
- 14:29dragon, which you could think about the way it was described
- 14:32in Job. It had that smoke coming from
- 14:34its nostrils. It was breathing fire, just like
- 14:37the the mythical Dragons that we talked about today.
- 14:40Maybe they weren't mythical, maybe they were actually real.
- 14:42It's also called a serpent and a sea monster.
- 14:47And those are also things that Satan is called and Satan is
- 14:51called. But I do think that Leviathan
- 14:54and Satan are probably different entities because it does even if
- 15:00even if Leviathan has any tie at all to the beast that comes out
- 15:04of the sea, which I'm not quite sure that it does.
- 15:07But if it does have any tie at all, the dragon is separate from
- 15:11that beast. So they aren't one in the same,
- 15:13but they're kind of like in alliance with one another, are
- 15:18connected in some way. They're they've like they're
- 15:21evil and I mean, they're not talked about in a good way.
- 15:27And the Leviathan is also referred to as Rahab.
- 15:32And so Rahab is from the story of Jericho.
- 15:38I guess she was a prostitute that actually helped the
- 15:42Israelite spies and protected them so they were not harmed.
- 15:47And she's actually in Jesus genealogy.
- 15:53And so, yeah, it's really interesting when you go, I
- 15:56forget which chapter that is in Matthew or in Luke, but Rahab is
- 16:01listed and she's that she was actually the prostitute.
- 16:04So it's just, it shows how it doesn't matter what people have
- 16:10done when they turn to God, that God can restore people and make
- 16:15them new and that we just remember that all of us have not
- 16:21been holy like God. And so all of us have made
- 16:28mistakes and God Forgives those. We're so thankful that God
- 16:32Forgives those because the punishment for that, and we'll
- 16:35get to some talking about some of that for the Israelites here.
- 16:39But the punishment is something that if, yeah, if you can avoid
- 16:44it, that your life will be a lot better.
- 16:48Believe me, when you start hearing what's, you know, Israel
- 16:51will be delivered. But this chapter is going to
- 16:54talk a little bit about what happens before Israel is
- 16:58delivered. But this is talking about the
- 17:00day that Jesus returns. And I believe this is, you know,
- 17:05something that will happen during that time in that day.
- 17:10It's also missed or you know, Babylon is also personified in
- 17:18Revelation and it's Babylon is personified as a woman and you
- 17:24know, Israel is actually personified as a woman.
- 17:27But I, you know, and it's like just symbolic of, of Israel.
- 17:33So the Book of Revelation has a lot of symbolism in it, but it
- 17:38explains it. It explains.
- 17:40So there isn't like a lot of questioning.
- 17:42When you read it carefully, then you can understand and it.
- 17:46So that is that's another chapter that's really
- 17:50interesting and we will get into a little bit more about that
- 17:52too. So anyway, there was, I think I
- 17:55talked about all I wanted to talk about for Leviathan.
- 18:02So for right now at least. OK.
- 18:04In that day, sing about the fruitful vineyard.
- 18:07I, the Lord, watch over it. I water it continually.
- 18:11I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it.
- 18:15I am not angry. If only there were Breers and
- 18:18thorns confronting me, I would March against them in a battle.
- 18:24I would set them all on fire or let them come to me for refuge.
- 18:30Let them make peace with me. Yes, let them make peace with
- 18:35me. So here God is speaking through
- 18:39Isaiah and he's saying, you know, the Breeders and the
- 18:42thorns that's, you know, when everything's dried up, like
- 18:44there's no fruit on the vine. There's nothing good about it.
- 18:48And they they just get burned. The God will just burn it in the
- 18:53end when judgement comes, but he's he's saying or let them
- 18:57come to me for refuge. So God is a refuge.
- 19:01Like we can avoid being bundled up and burned like it talks
- 19:06about if we just turn to God. So it's you know, God still has
- 19:13that option out there for people of turning to him and making
- 19:17peace with with God to reject sin again.
- 19:22It's the Bible is consistently talking about repentance and if
- 19:27your church is not talking about repentance, they are not
- 19:29preparing you for when Jesus comes or not preparing you for
- 19:37the day that you go to be with the Lord with the day that you
- 19:41die. I mean it, you know, if, if you
- 19:45pass away or if we pass away before Jesus returns, we still
- 19:49need to be prepared. So that's not an option.
- 19:52I mean, I think churches should prepare people so that the day
- 19:56they meet the Lord, the day they have to come face to face with
- 19:59the Lord, they, they go to it happily.
- 20:03Like it's a, you know, there's an exciting thing.
- 20:05There's there's actually been some Hospice nurses who have
- 20:08talked about these. People, patients, you know, who
- 20:12have, who are close to death and believers who are close to
- 20:18death, they say it's so peaceful.
- 20:21And there are some many, I don't know, but Hospice nurses say
- 20:25this, that there's a, they do talk about seeing things, they
- 20:31do talk about heavenly things and they are peaceful when they
- 20:36pass. But those who are not, who are
- 20:42not believers, they, they sometimes have very violent
- 20:49transitions into death and very like, I don't know, just like, I
- 20:57don't know how to describe it, but not peaceful events.
- 21:00And Hospice nurses see these kinds of things.
- 21:03And they've, they've said that before.
- 21:05So there is, that's what I'm getting at of with the churches,
- 21:09is that churches need to, I mean, the one thing that
- 21:12churches should do is prepare people so that they can be
- 21:16joyous, joyful, joyous and be looking forward to the day that
- 21:22they get to meet the Lord face to face.
- 21:24Because is if they're not prepared and the church doesn't
- 21:28talk about repentance, then what if they had the fearful meeting
- 21:33with the Lord and then they're eternally separated because
- 21:38nobody helped them out. Like nobody can do anything for
- 21:40anybody else. But you can at least tell
- 21:42somebody. You can at least warn somebody.
- 21:45Then it's up to them to decide. You can't be responsible for
- 21:49them. But if a church just doesn't say
- 21:51anything about repentance, I kind of question why that church
- 21:56exists. I really do.
- 21:59Because ultimately we need to be eternally focused.
- 22:03We need to be eternally focused. I mean, once we have repented,
- 22:07then we can do all these good works for the Lord, and then we
- 22:10can just live the rest of our life doing what God would,
- 22:13working in God's will. But first we have to get there.
- 22:17We have to get into making peace with God there.
- 22:22There is nowhere in the Bible none of these prophets said
- 22:25things other than repent and turn to the Lord.
- 22:29That was constantly the message. So if churches are supposed to
- 22:32be giving people the message, they should be talking about
- 22:35repentance, and a lot of them don't.
- 22:39So that's kind of why I'm doing this podcast too, because I'm
- 22:44just going to read scripture because it says it all through
- 22:46it. So in days to come, Jacob will
- 22:50take root. Israel will bud and blossom and
- 22:54fill the world with fruit. So this is a future time when
- 22:58Jacob or Israel will, will be beautiful when God redeems them
- 23:05and makes them new, just like when we receive the Holy Spirit,
- 23:09we become a new creation. We start to change.
- 23:13Our life actually changes when we have the Holy Spirit.
- 23:17We don't stay the same. And that's what's going to
- 23:20happen with Israel as well. So has the Lord struck her,
- 23:25meaning Israel, as he struck down those who struck her?
- 23:30Has she been killed as those were killed who killed her by it
- 23:37says. But now this is a really awkward
- 23:38translation and there's only one there's one word in the Bible
- 23:44for this and the translation warfare does not even make sense
- 23:47to me. But when you go into the blue
- 23:50letter Bible and you see what was actually written.
- 23:52But this says by warfare and exile.
- 23:55You contend with her with his fierce blast.
- 23:58He drives her out as on a day the east wind blows.
- 24:04Now warfare, you could, I mean, that could be ultimately what is
- 24:10the, the outcome of what is talked about, but it's basically
- 24:15by the Lord's, by a fierce spirit.
- 24:20That's what it talks about, a spirit that is fierce from the
- 24:24east. So I wonder again, if this is a
- 24:27spiritual entity that is hell bent on destroying Israel, that
- 24:32God just allows it to have its free will and it accomplishes a
- 24:38purpose for God because this is how God is actually.
- 24:44It'll tell us right now by this thing happening, by this, then
- 24:49will Jacob's guilt be atoned for and this will be the full fruit
- 24:55of the removal of his sin. The full fruit means the fruit
- 24:59of action. It means this will be the price
- 25:03of the removal of his sin. So it's because of Israel's
- 25:08idolatry primarily that they were worshipping other gods and
- 25:12they weren't turned towards the one true God.
- 25:16And so therefore they have to go through this and, and it kind of
- 25:22makes sense. When I read this, I was
- 25:24thinking, you know, that, OK, so there's going to be this fierce
- 25:28spirit that comes against them on a day the east wind blows.
- 25:32So it's probably gonna be something from the east.
- 25:34And that kind of makes sense that something from the east,
- 25:39somebody that hates Israel from the east is going to come that
- 25:42direction, a fierce spirit and going to take people into exile
- 25:49and that, and this is how Jacob's guilt will be atoned
- 25:53for. So in Leviticus it talks about
- 25:58atoning. Let's see if I I don't remember
- 26:03if I found if I did Leviticus. OK, so yes, Leviticus chapter 5
- 26:11verse 16. They must make restitution for
- 26:15what they have failed to do in regard to the holy things.
- 26:21Pay an addition, pay an additional penalty of 1/5 of its
- 26:25value and give it to all. Give it to all the give it all
- 26:29to the priest. The priest will make atonement
- 26:32for them with the ram as a guilt offering and they will be
- 26:34forgiven. So this is all the stuff they
- 26:37have to do to when they have failed to do something in regard
- 26:41to the holy things, they have to pay a penalty for that.
- 26:46And then the priest makes an atonement for them.
- 26:49And so this is their, this is how they're going to make that
- 26:53payment when this evil, fierce spirit comes against them.
- 27:00And then it also brought to mind in Hebrews, there's a verse also
- 27:05that says Hebrews Chapter 9, verse 22.
- 27:09In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed
- 27:15with blood. And without the shedding of
- 27:20blood, there is no forgiveness. So isn't that interesting?
- 27:25I mean, it's the like a life for a life, I guess, where God
- 27:29allowed a substitute life. And so in the Old Testament
- 27:33time, he allowed an animal sacrifice so that the person's
- 27:37life, I guess eternal life would not be condemned eternally.
- 27:43So it was like a kind of a temporary thing, like when, when
- 27:47they sinned, then this was how they didn't die eternally.
- 27:53And then eventually they just like sinned so much and there
- 27:55were so many sacrifices. And God was not really pleased.
- 27:59He didn't want all the sacrifices.
- 28:01He gave it to them as a, as a way to help them so they
- 28:04wouldn't die. But that's not what he wanted.
- 28:07So then the only way to for the law to be satisfied was for
- 28:14Jesus to die on the cross, because Jesus was the
- 28:19unblemished lamb. You know, that's a symbolic
- 28:23thing. That's always Jesus was referred
- 28:25to a lamb and the lamb was used for sacrifices and it could be,
- 28:29it had to be without blemish. It couldn't be something the
- 28:32animal that was sacrificed couldn't be something that was
- 28:36less than the best. SO Jesus as a in his human form
- 28:43was the best and sinless. And so he was without blemish,
- 28:48just like the Lamb had to be for other sacrifices.
- 28:52But Jesus's sacrifice on the cross, his death on the cross,
- 28:55broke the stronghold of death on us.
- 29:00So that's when he defeated the curse and he defeated, you know,
- 29:07Satan was the one who hold the power to death.
- 29:09I mean, we read that a few chapters ago about Satan was the
- 29:14one who had that, who had that. But then Jesus broke that and
- 29:19made it possible for us to be in God's Kingdom.
- 29:21So he just, he laid down his life literally, he laid down his
- 29:26life for us. He he gave his life for us on
- 29:29the cross and, and according to the law without the shedding of
- 29:35blood, there is no forgiveness. So and in God's law.
- 29:41So anyway. Then it goes back-to-back to
- 29:46Isaiah when he makes all the altar stones to be like
- 29:51limestone crushed to pieces. No Ashira poles or incense
- 29:56altars will be left standing. The fortified city stands
- 30:00desolate, an abandoned settlement forsaken like the
- 30:04wilderness. There the calves graze, there
- 30:07they lie down they strip its branches bare.
- 30:11When it's twigs are dry, they are broken off.
- 30:14And women come and make fires with them.
- 30:17For this is a people without understanding, so their maker
- 30:22has no compassion on them and their creator shows them no
- 30:25favor. Again, remember, there's no
- 30:28favoritism that God does not show favoritism and he's not
- 30:34showing it to the Jews, the Jewish people as well.
- 30:39Because it, it says, I think it's in Hosea.
- 30:45I can't remember which one it is, but it says my people are
- 30:48just are destroyed from by a lack of knowledge.
- 30:52Something to that effect. I'm going to see if I can find
- 30:54that. And it's just, you know, we have
- 30:57the knowledge in front of us, but we it's up to us.
- 31:02Like the knowledge is there, but do we use the knowledge and
- 31:06apply it, which is the wisdom, Lack of knowledge.
- 31:13I'm going to look that up so I can get that verse that
- 31:16hopefully I find it. Lack of knowledge, I'm going to
- 31:22look up. And yes, it's Hosea chapter 4,
- 31:28verse 6. My people are destroyed from
- 31:31lack of knowledge because you have rejected knowledge and then
- 31:37he's talking. I also reject you as my priest
- 31:39because you have ignored the law of your God.
- 31:42I will I also will ignore your children.
- 31:46So if we, you know, the, the knowledge is here, if we don't
- 31:50apply it, we, we get destroyed. My people are destroyed from
- 31:56lack of knowledge. If we are not seeking God, if we
- 32:00are not going into scripture or trying to learn more about
- 32:03scripture or learn more about our creator, God says if we seek
- 32:09him, we will find him. So if we don't, then we can just
- 32:15be destroyed because we didn't look into this stuff.
- 32:19And then the last part of Isaiah chapter, it says in that day the
- 32:23Lord will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of
- 32:28Egypt, and you Israel will be gathered up 1 by 1.
- 32:33And in that day a great trumpet will sound.
- 32:38And when you look at the original Hebrew word, it's
- 32:40actually a shofar will sound and in that day a great shofar will
- 32:45sound. Those who are perish, who are
- 32:48perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will
- 32:53come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
- 32:58So they will actually come to worship the Lord in Jerusalem on
- 33:03the holy mountain. So this is like at the the end
- 33:07times, I will read the study Bibles question and answer and
- 33:12then I'll get into the additional scripture that I
- 33:14looked up while I was researching all of this chapter.
- 33:18So we talked about what was Leviathan?
- 33:21Why would God want breeders and thorns in his vineyard?
- 33:25The Lord says he wishes that there were breeders and thorns
- 33:28for him to contend with so that he could chop them down and burn
- 33:31them. Some think these breeders and
- 33:35thorns refer to the nations whom God would rather battle than
- 33:39unfaithful Israel. Others believe they refer to
- 33:42internal enemies, for example those who lead the fellow
- 33:46Israelites astray. At any rate, the Lord would
- 33:49rather make peace with these and antagonist than destroy them.
- 33:55How will Israel blossom? Perhaps the blossom is a symbol
- 34:00of life now in Jerusalem with the Messiah as king.
- 34:05Israel would then refer to all who are faithful to God, Jew and
- 34:10Gentile alike. Some, however, suggest that this
- 34:13refers to refers to the restoration and worldwide
- 34:17influence of the Jewish nation either after the exile and bag
- 34:21Babylon or sometime in the future.
- 34:24How would warfare and exile atone for sin?
- 34:27Some think that some think Isaiah was referring to the
- 34:30northern Kingdom of Israel. Others believe he had Judah in
- 34:34mind, or the reference to Jacob may be taken as a designation of
- 34:39the whole people of Israel. Atonement contains the idea of
- 34:43reconciling a broken relationship in the old broken
- 34:48relationship. In the Old Testament sacrificial
- 34:51system, a sacrifice atoned for sin because it meant the offerer
- 34:57repented and desired to return to God.
- 35:01Though the Israelites had refused to repent, the defeat of
- 35:06Israel by the Assyrians and or Judah by the Babylonians, and
- 35:12their exile to a foreign land would bring the people to a
- 35:17penitent awareness of their guilt.
- 35:20God's judgment became a means of bringing His grace.
- 35:26What fortified city was Isaiah referring to?
- 35:29If the prophet had the northern Kingdom of Israel in mind, this
- 35:33would be Samaria. If he was thinking about the
- 35:35southern Kingdom of Judah, then it would be Jerusalem.
- 35:39It is also possible that this is a reference to the world in
- 35:42general. The city that he's talking
- 35:46about, the fortified city stands desolate, an abandoned
- 35:50settlement, forsaken like the wilderness.
- 35:52There the calves graze. I mean, it goes on.
- 35:55I believe it's it sounds like it's talking about Israel or
- 35:59Jerusalem. And this will happen before God
- 36:03restores it. So why did God have no
- 36:06compassion on those without understanding?
- 36:08To some degree this depends on whether verses 10 through 11
- 36:13refer to the Israelites or to the nations.
- 36:15In either case, though, the crux of the matter was not that the
- 36:19people couldn't understand, but that they wouldn't understand.
- 36:24Their lack of discernment was self-inflicted and deserved
- 36:28judgment rather than compassion. Why thresh from the Euphrates
- 36:35River to the Wadi of Egypt? This was a promise of a coming
- 36:39harvest. Though they would be scattered
- 36:42from Assyria and Babylon, the Euphrates to Egypt, God's people
- 36:47would again be gathered back to the Promised Land.
- 36:50Because threshing was often used as an image of punishment, some
- 36:56suggest this also contains the idea of judgement on the nations
- 37:00that carried Israel and Judah away.
- 37:03Others see an allusion to a coming golden age.
- 37:06From the Euphrates to Egypt, then represents the boundaries
- 37:11of Israel at its peak. And that's in First Kings
- 37:16chapter 4. Obviously from what we've read,
- 37:22Jesus, when he returns, he is going to expand the boundaries
- 37:25of Israel. He is going to restore it.
- 37:28And when he returns. It's also interesting that in
- 37:32the Book of Revelation, it talks about the grape harvest and
- 37:37about the Angel. I know we talked about that
- 37:39before that the the Angel goes out and then there's the sickle
- 37:45that comes and everything is harvested.
- 37:50And that was something that I guess I recently talked about,
- 37:53so I didn't look it up again, but I will do that now on I'll
- 37:58just look up sickle because that should show in Revelation.
- 38:04So yes, it's in chapter Revelation 14, so I'll read
- 38:11that. I looked and there before me was
- 38:16a white cloud and seating. Seated on the cloud was one like
- 38:20a son of man. That's Jesus with a crown of
- 38:22gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.
- 38:26Then another Angel came out of the temple and called in a loud
- 38:30voice to him who was sitting on the cloud.
- 38:33Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has
- 38:36come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
- 38:41So he was seated on a cloud, swung his sickle over the earth,
- 38:45and the earth was harvested. This is when I think he's going
- 38:48around picking up the people of Judah.
- 38:52OK. And then it says another Angel
- 38:56came out of the temple in heaven.
- 38:58So this is the second one. And he too had a sharp sickle,
- 39:03and still another Angel, that's a third Angel who had charge of
- 39:07the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to
- 39:11him who had the sharp sickle. Take your sharp sickle and
- 39:16gather the clusters of grapes from the earth's vine, because
- 39:20its grapes are ripe. The Angel swung his sickle on
- 39:24the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great
- 39:29winepress of God's wrath. That's the threshing.
- 39:33The Angel, they, they, they were trampled.
- 39:38OK, the threshing in the wine press outside the city.
- 39:42And blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the
- 39:46horse's bridles for a distance of 1600 stadia, which is about
- 39:52180 miles or 300 kilometers. So that is, to me, it really
- 40:00sounds like in that day, I mean, this is talking about the end
- 40:02times that a trumpet's going to sound.
- 40:05There's a trumpet that goes and these this is the grape harvest,
- 40:08the end time grape harvest. So I think there's I'm going to
- 40:13go back to the other sections. I don't really remember.
- 40:17Oh, I went into Jeremiah chapter 50 and because of Babylon.
- 40:23Because again, like how Leviathan and Babylon and all
- 40:27these entities and Rahab the prostitute and Babylon is the
- 40:31prostitute, there's just so much in here.
- 40:33And it's about, it's about something that completely
- 40:37rejects God. And something that I found when
- 40:41I was searching this was they kept talking about like her
- 40:44sorceries or her, all of these things that she did that that
- 40:53was the cause of who she was. Like just to search like who is
- 40:58Babylon? I, I talked about actually doing
- 41:00some either written or podcast on Babylon, just Babylon and
- 41:06talk about that because Babylon was a city.
- 41:10And then the future Babylon talked about in Revelation,
- 41:14there's still some uncertainty about who that is or what that
- 41:19represents. I just, I definitely think it's
- 41:22spiritual. I think it's a spiritual entity.
- 41:25And it might even be some of the ancient gods.
- 41:28In fact, there's, oh gosh, let me see where this was.
- 41:33I'll just read Jeremiah 50 and then we'll get into it as we go
- 41:37because I'm pretty sure I probably have a tab for
- 41:40Scripture that talks about Babylon.
- 41:42So Jeremiah, he was also a prophet.
- 41:44And when I read through this, he's talking about Babylon.
- 41:48And I do believe this is also end times.
- 41:50This particular chapter 50, there are prior chapters that
- 41:54were talking about Babylon when Judah was captured and went to
- 41:58Babylon. But this one, when you read it,
- 42:01it there's I'll tell you why I think it is a future Babylon
- 42:07because history repeats itself. So this is what Jeremiah says.
- 42:12A nation from the north will attack her and lay waste her
- 42:17land. So this is actually, I'll start
- 42:19at the beginning, a message about Babylon.
- 42:21This is the word the Lord spoke through Jeremiah the prophet
- 42:24concerning Babylon and the land of the Babylonians.
- 42:31Announce and proclaim among the nation's Lift up a banner and
- 42:35proclaim it. Keep nothing back, but say
- 42:39Babylon will be captured. Belle will be put to shame,
- 42:45Marduk filled with terror. Her images will be put to shame
- 42:51and her idols filled with terror.
- 42:55I think like Belle Marduk. I mean, I don't know if they're
- 42:58the same entity we've talked about or I've talked about this
- 43:01before in podcast, but they're whatever they are, they're evil.
- 43:05And they're either fallen angels who appear to people and say
- 43:11that they are gods and all of these ancient cultures that
- 43:18worshipped all these different gods.
- 43:21I do think they were fallen angels.
- 43:23And there's actually something that I found in here that that I
- 43:28found actually in Scripture that supports that idea.
- 43:31Oh, it is. It's in Deuteronomy.
- 43:34I want to read that to you now before we get any further.
- 43:36I'm jumping around, I know, but I I want to find that verse.
- 43:43It's Deuteronomy 32, verse 17. Listen to this.
- 43:50They sacrificed to false gods, which are not God gods they had
- 43:57not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your ancestors
- 44:04did not fear. So do you think like the angels
- 44:09can appear, Satan can? Satan masquerades as an Angel of
- 44:16light. So do you not think that if
- 44:19Satan can do that, all of his other fallen angels could also
- 44:23do that, and they could appear to human beings and present
- 44:27themselves as God? That was something that I was
- 44:30just thinking, you know, as I was reading, I was like, gosh,
- 44:33you know, knowing the Book of Enoch or having heard it, I was
- 44:37like, maybe these people weren't just like really like
- 44:41unintelligent from, you know, the past.
- 44:45Maybe they were actually intelligent people.
- 44:47But then they met these fallen angels that appeared good and
- 44:56manipulated them. And that's really what I
- 44:59believe. And actually Deuteronomy 32
- 45:03verse 17 supports that. It says gods that recently
- 45:07appeared. So he's, he's talking to them
- 45:11about how you know, of Israel and what they did and you know
- 45:16that they didn't go to the Lord, but all of a sudden they started
- 45:18worshipping these other gods because these other people that
- 45:22they were around worshipped those things.
- 45:25And these were probably, you know, Satan wanted to be God.
- 45:28He, he wasn't happy with where he was.
- 45:31He wanted to be worshipped. So it all makes sense, like
- 45:34Satan wants to be worshipped. Maybe all these other fallen
- 45:36angels, they're called fallen angels because they were, they
- 45:40fell from heaven. You know, maybe all of them
- 45:44wanted the same thing and they made this alliance like we're
- 45:47going to be worshipped here and we're going to, you know, we, we
- 45:50have more power than these human beings do.
- 45:52So we can present ourselves like something magnificent and these
- 45:57people will believe us because they don't have powers like us.
- 46:00And we can be worshipped here. That was their dream come true,
- 46:04to be down here and to be worshipped.
- 46:07So I mean, the Bible says that that they worship gods that
- 46:11recently appeared. That was the first time I saw
- 46:14that in Scripture today. And I thought here the Bible
- 46:18supports that. I mean, that was something I was
- 46:20thinking from the book of Enoch, that these fallen angels were
- 46:24actually entities that were real entities.
- 46:28I mean these these mythical things were actually real things
- 46:32that people saw. And there's a lot of very
- 46:36interesting stuff. The Bible is extremely
- 46:38interesting when you get into it and you start finding some of
- 46:42these things. So now I'm going to go back to
- 46:46the message about Babylon and Jeremiah chapter 50.
- 46:49So we talked about Belle Marduk and that's how I got segwayed on
- 46:53that other topic. So a nation from the north will
- 46:56attack her and lay her waste. No one will live in it.
- 47:01Both people and animals will flee away in those days At that
- 47:06time, declares the Lord, the people of Israel and the people
- 47:10of Judah together will go in tears to seek the Lord their
- 47:15God. Well, that could have happened
- 47:16before, you know, like in the ancient time when they were
- 47:19captured by Babylon and then when Assyria did that, you know
- 47:23that that could be a past thing. But I'll keep reading and you'll
- 47:27find out more. They will ask the way to Zion
- 47:31and turn their their faces towards it.
- 47:33They will come and bind themselves to the Lord in an
- 47:37everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.
- 47:41That will not be forgotten is the keywords here.
- 47:45They will bind themselves in an everlasting covenant that will
- 47:49not be forgotten. They forget it all the time.
- 47:52So this has to be the end times when they actually return to
- 47:57God. My people have been lost sheep.
- 48:01Their shepherds had LED them astray, their leaders and caused
- 48:06them to roam on the mountains. You know, they were all sent to
- 48:09exile, like Isaiah said, because of what they did, their
- 48:13idolatry. So God made them lose their land
- 48:16and then they just wandered all over the earth.
- 48:19They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own
- 48:23resting place. There's a lot of Jewish people
- 48:26who do not live in Israel today, and that's because of what's
- 48:32happened. Whoever found them devoured
- 48:36them. Their enemies said we are not
- 48:38guilty, for they sinned against the Lord, their verdant pasture,
- 48:41the Lord, the hope of their ancestors.
- 48:44So there's no justification for anybody who goes against Israel
- 48:47and uses this as an excuse saying we're not guilty for
- 48:51this. They're sitting against the
- 48:52Lord. So we're just being God's
- 48:54judgment. Well, God doesn't want any of us
- 48:56to be the judgment of Israel. The vengeance is his.
- 49:00We don't have to do anything because they don't follow what
- 49:05God told them to do. That's they have to be
- 49:08accountable for that and God will take care of that.
- 49:11So anyone who is an enemy of Israel is just bringing on
- 49:14curses on themselves, on their nation, on their country,
- 49:17whatever. And thank God that right now, at
- 49:21the moment, the United States is actually supporting Israel
- 49:24because the Bible talks about it.
- 49:27And you know, God says, I will bless those who bless you and
- 49:31curse those who curse you. So hopefully there's some
- 49:34blessings that come out of it, meaning more people in the
- 49:38United States turn to God. And there's this reprieve where
- 49:44we're not going to all be fallen away from God.
- 49:48So it says here Jeremiah 50, verse 8, flee out of Babylon,
- 49:52leave the land of the Babylonians and be like the
- 49:55goats that lead the flock. For I will stir up and bring
- 50:00against Babylon an alliance of great nations from the land of
- 50:05the north. Now was there an alliance of
- 50:10multiple nations that came against Babylon?
- 50:13I think it was a Syria that came against Babylon, but that's not
- 50:17an alliance of great nations. From the land of the north they
- 50:21will take up their positions against her, and from the north
- 50:24she will be captured. Their arrows will be like
- 50:27skilled warriors who do not return empty handed.
- 50:30So Babylonia will be plundered. All who plunder her will have
- 50:34their fill, declares the Lord. Because you rejoice and are
- 50:37glad, you who pillage my inheritance, because you frolic
- 50:40like a heifer, threshing green and nay and nay, like stallions.
- 50:45Your mother will be greatly ashamed.
- 50:47She who gave you birth will be disgraced.
- 50:49She will be the east of the nations, a wilderness, a dry
- 50:53land, a desert. Because of the Lord's anger, she
- 50:56will not be inhabited, but will be completely destroyed.
- 51:04All who pass Babylon will be appalled.
- 51:06They will scoff because of all her wounds.
- 51:10Well, Babylon maybe hasn't been inhabited, but it's not
- 51:16completely desolate. It was more when I did a little
- 51:19bit of research, it said that Babylon, Babylon was more of a
- 51:23gradual than a single event. When it it wasn't completely
- 51:28destroyed. Take up your positions around
- 51:31Babylon. All you who draw the bow, shoot
- 51:34at her, spare no arrows, for she has sinned against the Lord.
- 51:38Shout against her on every side. She surrenders, her towers fall
- 51:42and her walls are torn down. Since this is the vengeance of
- 51:46the Lord, take vengeance on her due to her as she has done to
- 51:50others. Cut off from Babylon, the sower
- 51:54and the Reaper with his sickle at harvest.
- 51:57I think that's just like the Satan evil entity because of the
- 52:01sword of the oppressor. Let everyone return to their own
- 52:05people. Let everyone flee to their own
- 52:07land. Israel is a scattered flock that
- 52:10lions have chased away. The first to devour them was the
- 52:14first listen that the first to devour of them was the king of
- 52:18Assyria. The last to crush their bones
- 52:21was Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon.
- 52:24Therefore, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel,
- 52:26says. I will punish the king of
- 52:29Babylon and his land as I punish the king of Assyria.
- 52:34But I will bring Israel back to their own pasture, and they will
- 52:38graze on Carmel and bash Bashan. Their appetite will be satisfied
- 52:44on the hills of Ephraim and Gilead in those days.
- 52:48At that time declares the Lord's search will be made for Israel's
- 52:51guilt, but not but there will be none.
- 52:55And for the sins of Judah, but none will be found.
- 52:58For I will forgive the remnant I the remnant I spare.
- 53:03So that's not today, Israel doesn't He's Israel's not
- 53:08guiltless. And the sins of Judah, none will
- 53:13be found. That's after restoration.
- 53:16So that is this is a future thing.
- 53:19Attack the land of Merathaem and those who live in Pecod, pursue,
- 53:26kill and completely destroy. Destroy them, declares Lord, do
- 53:30everything I have commanded to you.
- 53:32So I was curious about who this, what this Merathaem is.
- 53:37And it means a double rebellion. It's another name for Babylon is
- 53:42what that is. And then let's see what else was
- 53:47there. Oh, and then that Piccad means
- 53:53visitation. And it's a people in the
- 53:56Babylonian army and a tribe in southeast Babylonia bordering
- 54:01Elam, which is modern day Iran. So that's what it's talking
- 54:07about. So it's it's one of the words is
- 54:11really meant to be about Babylon.
- 54:14And the other one is just the people, a certain people that
- 54:17are like close to Iran. So attack the land of Marathaium
- 54:23are Babylon, and those who live and peak Cod pursue, kill and
- 54:27completely destroy them, declares the Lord.
- 54:30The noise of the battle is in the land, the noise of great
- 54:33destruction. How broken and shattered is the
- 54:36hammer of the whole earth. How desolate is Babylon among
- 54:41the nations? I set a trap for you, Babylon,
- 54:44and you were caught before you knew it.
- 54:46You were found and captured because you oppose the Lord.
- 54:51The Lord has opened His arsenal and brought out the weapons of
- 54:55His wrath. For the sovereign Lord Almighty
- 54:59has work to do in the land of the Babylonians.
- 55:03Come against her from afar. Break open her granaries, pile
- 55:07her up like heaps of grain. Completely destroy her and leave
- 55:11no remnant. Kill all her young bulls.
- 55:14Let them go down to the slaughter.
- 55:16Woe to them, for the day has come, the time for them to be
- 55:19punished. Listen to the fugitives and the
- 55:22refuge refugees from Babylon declaring in Zion how the Lord
- 55:27our God has taken vengeance, vengeance for his temple.
- 55:32So this might have something to do with the Temple.
- 55:36Summon Archers against Babylon, all those who draw the bow and
- 55:40camp all around her. Let no one escape.
- 55:43Repay her for her deeds due to her, as she has done, for she
- 55:48has defied the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.
- 55:51Therefore her young men will fall in the streets, all her
- 55:54soldiers will be silenced in that day.
- 55:59So this is like a sudden, a sudden destruction thing.
- 56:02See, I am against you, you arrogant 1.
- 56:06Remember that this leviathan was the king of the proud, and I
- 56:09wonder if it's connected somehow to Babylon.
- 56:13Because you arrogant 1 declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty, for
- 56:16your day has come, the time for you to be punished.
- 56:19The arrogant one will stumble and fall and no one will help
- 56:22her up. I will kinder kindle a fire in
- 56:26her towns that will consume all who are around her.
- 56:32In Revelation it talks about people looking and watching this
- 56:35burning away. This is what the Lord Almighty
- 56:38says. The people of Israel are
- 56:40oppressed and the people of Judah as well.
- 56:43All their captors hold them fast, refusing to let them go.
- 56:47That's kind of a situation we're in right now.
- 56:49The people of Israel are oppressed and the people of
- 56:52Judah as well. All their captors hold them
- 56:55fast, refusing to let them go. There's still people that are in
- 57:00that are hostages right now from the October 7th, 2023 invasion
- 57:06of Israel where they, they came after him and, and it was called
- 57:10the Alaska flood, which is interesting because the Alaska
- 57:15mosque, or however you say it, it, it was basically they
- 57:21wanted, someone said that they actually wanted to prevent the
- 57:25red heifer sacrifice. And this was kind of the flood
- 57:29that they did to prevent that from happening, prevent the
- 57:32temple from being built. And it's interesting that it
- 57:36says God has taken vengeance, vengeance for his temple.
- 57:40So I wonder if that relates to our current times.
- 57:44Yet their Redeemer is strong. The Lord Almighty is his name.
- 57:48He will vigorously defend their cause, so that he may bring rest
- 57:53to their land. But unrest to those who live in
- 57:56Babylon. A sword against the Babylonians
- 57:58declares the Lord against those who live in Babylon, and against
- 58:02her officials and wise men. A sword against her false
- 58:06prophets, they will become fools.
- 58:09A sword against her warriors? They will be filled with
- 58:11terrier. A sword against her horses and
- 58:13Chariots and all foreigners in her ranks, they will become
- 58:17weaklings. A sword against her treasures,
- 58:19they will be plundered. A drought on her waters.
- 58:23They will dry up. For it is a land of idols, idols
- 58:28that will go mad with terror. So desert creatures and hyenas
- 58:34will live there. And there will the owl will
- 58:37dwell. It will never again be inhabited
- 58:40or lived in from generation to generation, as I over through
- 58:44Sodom and Gomorrah, along with their neighboring towns,
- 58:47declares the Lord. So no one will live there, no
- 58:50people will dwell in it. Look, an army is coming from the
- 58:54north, a great nation, and many kings, many kings are being
- 58:59stirred up from the ends of the earth.
- 59:02So again, think about this too, this beast that comes up out of
- 59:05the ocean, out of the sea, the beast that comes out of the sea,
- 59:09which is symbolic, but it represents there's 10 kings that
- 59:13are involved, 10 powers that give their authority over to the
- 59:17beast. So the beast I think is some the
- 59:20spiritual entity. I think the beast is actually a
- 59:22spiritual entity. But these kings, actually, the
- 59:27leaders actually give over their authority to this beast to
- 59:32destroy everything. So they are armed with bows and
- 59:36Spears. They are cruel and without
- 59:38mercy. They sound like the roaring sea.
- 59:42Interesting as they ride on their horses, they come like men
- 59:46in battle formation to attack you, daughter Babylon, the king
- 59:50of Babylon has heard reports about them and his his hands
- 59:55hang limp. Anguish has gripped him, pain
- 59:59like that of a woman in labor. Always the End Times talks about
- 1:00:03a woman in labor, and it also talks about hands hanging limp.
- 1:00:08That would be another word search to do.
- 1:00:10Hands hang limp because you will see all these references to that
- 1:00:13about the End Times. Like a lion coming up from the
- 1:00:17Jordan's thickets to a rich pasture land.
- 1:00:20I will chase Babylon from its land in an instant, in an
- 1:00:24instant. So again, talked about Babylon
- 1:00:27was a slow decline of its location.
- 1:00:30It's it's land. But this sounds like an instant.
- 1:00:33Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this?
- 1:00:37Who is like me and who can challenge me?
- 1:00:40And what shepherd can stand against me?
- 1:00:44So this is interesting too, because he's like who is like me
- 1:00:48and who can who can challenge me?
- 1:00:50So this is going to be somebody big and he doesn't name who he's
- 1:00:55going to appoint for this. I seriously wonder, is it going
- 1:00:57to be spiritual? Is it going to be Satan?
- 1:00:59Is that who he's saying like Satan's going to rouse up these
- 1:01:02people, someone from the past or ancient past?
- 1:01:06And what shepherd can stand against me?
- 1:01:08Well, the shepherd leads sheep. It's the leader of a sheep.
- 1:01:12So this is just now coming to me as I'm reading this, Like what
- 1:01:16if this is, you know, some if this is actually Satan or if he
- 1:01:20like actually possesses a leader or something, I don't know.
- 1:01:25And just like he did Judas, remember he, he had possessed
- 1:01:29Judas before he did it. There was evidence of that in
- 1:01:32Scripture where it said that Satan had entered him.
- 1:01:37So does he enter this guy, whoever this one is, this chosen
- 1:01:41one that's important by God and what shepherd can stand against
- 1:01:45me? Is that the false prophet, You
- 1:01:48know like in the in the last times there are two beasts that
- 1:01:52are talked about and 1 is a false prophet and the other is
- 1:01:55this other beast that is successful in everything that he
- 1:01:59does and it's somebody that is definitely inhabited by a spirit
- 1:02:04other than God. So again, this is really
- 1:02:07interesting. Therefore here with the Lord has
- 1:02:10planned against Babylon what he has purposed against the land of
- 1:02:13the Babylonians. The young of the flat will be
- 1:02:16flock will be dragged away, their pasture will be appalled
- 1:02:19at their fate. At the sound of Babylon's
- 1:02:22capture, the earth will tremble, it's cry will resound among the
- 1:02:27nations. So this is going to be something
- 1:02:30really big when it happens. And this was really interesting
- 1:02:35too, how Leviathan, you know, it's, it's referred to as a
- 1:02:40serpent, as sea monster, as Rahab the prostitute.
- 1:02:43And then there's the Babylon with a mystery name on its head,
- 1:02:48like it's not being revealed who this Babylon is.
- 1:02:52And I do think it's a spiritual entity, whether it's Satan, I
- 1:02:55don't know, or one of one of his, another fallen entity.
- 1:02:59But in Psalm 83, verse 5, it says something very interesting.
- 1:03:05It says with one mind they plot together, they form an alliance
- 1:03:11against you. The tents of Edom, which is
- 1:03:15Jordan and the Ishmaelites of Moab, which is also an area in
- 1:03:20modern day Jordan, and the Hagrites, Biblas, Ammon, Amalek.
- 1:03:26We know that Amalek was always against Israel, Philistia, which
- 1:03:30is the land of Gaza with the people of Tyre, Lebanon.
- 1:03:35So it's interesting that it says even Assyria has joined them to
- 1:03:40reinforce Lot's descendants. So all of these people, I guess
- 1:03:45these are lots descendants of that would be in Jordan, the
- 1:03:49Moab, I know the Moabites are Lots descendants.
- 1:03:53And even a Syria, which is modern day Turkey, there's Iraq,
- 1:03:58that's part of it, Northwestern Iran, Turkey, Syria, all of
- 1:04:04those are combined and they all are really not, they don't like
- 1:04:09Israel. So I think that's really
- 1:04:10interesting. Again, in Psalms, this is a
- 1:04:14Psalms I never realized actually had prophecy in them, but they
- 1:04:18were they were songs. But like Asaph was a prophet.
- 1:04:23This is a song, a Psalm of Asaph.
- 1:04:26So it's Psalm 83. So just very interesting to
- 1:04:30consider that. And then in Isaiah chapter 30
- 1:04:35verse one, it says woe to the obstinate children declares the
- 1:04:40Lord to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming
- 1:04:45an alliance, but not by my spirit, heaping sin upon sin.
- 1:04:53So that's very interesting to me.
- 1:04:57Obstinate children. I think about Ishmael and Isaac
- 1:05:02and Ishmael, they were always, he was always at war and with
- 1:05:09Isaac and because of the circumstances of his coming
- 1:05:14about and God made him into a, an Archer.
- 1:05:20And he is, you know, he is like a representation of the Arab
- 1:05:26countries. And so I do think this is really
- 1:05:29interesting. And then, you know, the Arab
- 1:05:31countries, when they are, when they believe in Islam, they are
- 1:05:37believing something that came from a prophet who had an Angel
- 1:05:42visit him. Maybe it was a fallen Angel that
- 1:05:45told him lies and the Bible tells us in 90 AD.
- 1:05:51If anyone tells you anything different than what we've told
- 1:05:54you, this is like the spirit of the Antichrist.
- 1:05:57So then you realize that Muhammad gave this information
- 1:06:03in 637 around that time and AD and the the Bible was written in
- 1:06:1090 AD. So he just changed the story of
- 1:06:14what's in the Bible. But people who were familiar
- 1:06:17with the Bible would know that it said it.
- 1:06:19There was a warning about that. And now Islam is growing as a
- 1:06:24religion, But it's a big lie. There's a lot of things that it
- 1:06:28took from the Bible, but it twisted the truth.
- 1:06:31And is it the spirit of Babylon that's behind that?
- 1:06:35Is it that that spirit that's not of God and but is deceiving.
- 1:06:41It talks about Allah being the best of deceivers.
- 1:06:44Well, that's what Satan does and it's just I hope that people who
- 1:06:49are following an Islam realize or actually, you know, they're
- 1:06:53that's the other thing is Islam. I don't think, you know, they
- 1:06:56get very serious about their punishment of people who want to
- 1:06:59turn away from the religion because, you know, like, that's
- 1:07:05not what Christians do. I mean, Christians will probably
- 1:07:09pray for somebody if they turn away from Christianity, but
- 1:07:12they'll let them go because we realize that it's somebody's own
- 1:07:17free will. They get to choose whatever they
- 1:07:19want to choose. But when you're in Islam, you
- 1:07:22have this religion that will do these harmful things to people
- 1:07:27And, and it, it's just, you know, they, they don't want
- 1:07:32them. I mean, there's like they, they
- 1:07:35have all these writings in their Quran or their hadiths that talk
- 1:07:39very badly about Jews and Christians.
- 1:07:42And at least we know that the Jews and the Christians believe
- 1:07:47in the same one true God. And but when you get to Islam,
- 1:07:53they, they say that it's the one true God, but then it denies
- 1:07:57ever having a son. So the father is not going to
- 1:08:00deny his Son who came to this earth to be the sacrifice for
- 1:08:04all mankind so that we can be in the Kingdom of God.
- 1:08:06So that's a big flat lie, big fat lie.
- 1:08:11And it's, it's, I don't know, I just feel so bad.
- 1:08:14We, we should pray for anyone who is within the Islam, that
- 1:08:20believes in Islam because you know, thankfully God is Jesus is
- 1:08:25actually appearing to Muslims in their dreams and that's how it's
- 1:08:30happening. But it's so hard to actually,
- 1:08:33you can't really talk to people because it's so dangerous for
- 1:08:38them. I don't know.
- 1:08:39So anyone, you just pray for anyone you know, who is, who's a
- 1:08:43Muslim, that their eyes be opened and that God show them
- 1:08:47the truth and that he have mercy on them and bring them, you
- 1:08:54know, open their eyes so that they can, they can make the real
- 1:08:58choice about where they want to be in eternity.
- 1:09:01So that's what, you know, as far as a Christian goes, we don't,
- 1:09:04there's no hate towards Muslims. It's more of a concern about
- 1:09:08where they're going to end up in eternity and that they can have
- 1:09:12their eyes opened so that they can be in the Kingdom with
- 1:09:16everyone else. So then there's another.
- 1:09:20Now I'm jumping to Revelation because remember how there's
- 1:09:24like the dragon Leviathan and all this stuff?
- 1:09:26It's repeated over, over and over.
- 1:09:28Well, in Revelation 13, it says the dragon, which is Satan.
- 1:09:32It's symbolic for Satan. It's not a literal dragon.
- 1:09:35Stood on the shore of the sea and I saw a beast coming out of
- 1:09:39the sea. It had 10 horns, 7 heads with 10
- 1:09:43crowns on its horns and each one had a blasphemous name.
- 1:09:48The beast I saw resembled a leopard and he had feet like
- 1:09:53those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion.
- 1:09:56It's really interesting if you know the book of Daniel that are
- 1:09:59those are all of the different countries or nations, I guess
- 1:10:06that at one time had ruled over Israel.
- 1:10:12Are these were the strong countries that Daniel had dreams
- 1:10:16of. And I want to find there's a in
- 1:10:19my study Bible, it tells us which which entities were which.
- 1:10:25So I I just wonder if they make up like it says this beast look
- 1:10:31like a leopard, a bear and having a mouth of a lion.
- 1:10:34Well, in the vision that Daniel had in Chapter 7, he had a
- 1:10:39vision of a lion and a bear and a leopard.
- 1:10:42And ultimately those were different empires.
- 1:10:46The lion was Babylon or Iraq. The bear was media media Persian
- 1:10:54or modern day Iran. And then the leopard was with
- 1:11:01Grecian or Ion, which Ion actually means sons of son of
- 1:11:06Apollo. You get into that and you start
- 1:11:08seeing that there's like some idolatry there.
- 1:11:11Definitely. And but this is like Turkey,
- 1:11:14Syria, Iraq, Iran, and they're part of Yavon.
- 1:11:20So that is that the third empire.
- 1:11:24So you have Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Syria, all all together kind of
- 1:11:33interesting. And that's what this beast looks
- 1:11:36like. And the dragon gave the beast
- 1:11:40his power and his throne and great authority.
- 1:11:44So Satan gave the beast his power and his throne and great
- 1:11:49authority. One of the heads of the beast
- 1:11:51seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had
- 1:11:53been healed. The whole world was filled with
- 1:11:55wonder and followed the beast. People worshipped the dragon
- 1:12:00because he had given authority to the beast, and they also
- 1:12:04worshipped the beast and asked who is like the beast?
- 1:12:07Who can wage war against it? The beast was given a mouth to
- 1:12:11utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its
- 1:12:16authority for 42 months. That's that 3 1/2 year time
- 1:12:20frame. It opened its mouth to blasphemy
- 1:12:22God and to slander His name and His dwelling place and those who
- 1:12:25live in heaven. It was given power to wage war
- 1:12:28against God's holy people and to conquer them, and it was given
- 1:12:34authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
- 1:12:38All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast, all
- 1:12:44whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of
- 1:12:49life. The Lamb who was slain from the
- 1:12:52creation of the world. That's Jesus, who if your name,
- 1:12:57when you repent and turn to God and receive the Holy Spirit,
- 1:13:04your name is written in the Lamb's book of life.
- 1:13:07Jesus gives us life. He says I am the way, the truth
- 1:13:11and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me.
- 1:13:17Whoever has ears, let them hear. That's revelation.
- 1:13:21If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they
- 1:13:24will go. If anyone is to be killed with
- 1:13:27the sword, with the sword, they will be killed.
- 1:13:30This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of
- 1:13:35God's people. So I the I studied, you know, it
- 1:13:41the whole thing about when Jesus returns and when he gathers his
- 1:13:45people and will people be going through some of the stuff and
- 1:13:49will they be saved from it? I never quite could figure it
- 1:13:55out. I mean, I was always questioning
- 1:13:56about that. But recently, like the past
- 1:14:00couple weeks, I've found Scripture where I feel like I
- 1:14:03believe this is these are answering my questions about
- 1:14:06these things. It very clearly says in
- 1:14:10Scripture that the Antichrist is going to be or the lawless one,
- 1:14:14the man who claims, you know, he's boastful and all the stuff
- 1:14:18he is going to be revealed or known to the world and this is
- 1:14:24going to happen. The people who are still alive
- 1:14:28at that time, whenever this happens, that is that's going to
- 1:14:32happen before Jesus returns. I, I've read the scripture in
- 1:14:36such detail looking for the timing like what happens 1st and
- 1:14:41the lawless one will be revealed first, but I think shortly
- 1:14:46thereafter and I don't know how quickly, but if it's going to, I
- 1:14:51don't know how much time, but again, if this one says patient
- 1:14:53endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's people.
- 1:14:58I, I don't, I don't know if this applies to all of us or if this
- 1:15:05applies to those who are not prepared.
- 1:15:09Because unfortunately, when Jesus returns, people will not
- 1:15:14be prepared. And that's why I'm, I speak out
- 1:15:18against churches who are not preparing people to meet Jesus.
- 1:15:21Because if they are, if God is not a priority, if we're not in
- 1:15:26the word, if we are not in communication with God every
- 1:15:29single day, then we are not prepared for what's coming.
- 1:15:34And it, I mean, just to be in the word, just pray, pray to
- 1:15:38God. And I mean, that's desperately
- 1:15:42needed. And if you are prepared, if
- 1:15:45you're repentant, if you have the Holy Spirit, you don't have
- 1:15:48anything to be worried about and you will be gathered.
- 1:15:51And some people, like when Jesus returns, not everybody's going
- 1:15:54to die. There are going to be live
- 1:15:56people who actually go up and ascend into the sky to meet
- 1:15:59Jesus in the clouds, and they will be given immortal bodies.
- 1:16:04But it's only those people who have repented and who have the
- 1:16:08Holy Spirit and who are connected to Jesus regularly.
- 1:16:14And there's a lot of Christians who say they believe and they do
- 1:16:18believe, but they're not living their lives like Jesus, like
- 1:16:24Scripture says they haven't made Jesus for God Lord over their
- 1:16:29life, like they are not obedient to the commands God's given.
- 1:16:34And there are things in in the Bible that tells us things that
- 1:16:38we do all the time that that are just will not, will not be in
- 1:16:43God's Kingdom. And when I first read that, that
- 1:16:46is what woke me up and made me want to change my life.
- 1:16:49And then I, I believe the Holy Spirit has been helping me to
- 1:16:54gradually change from the way I was to the way I am today.
- 1:16:59And but I do, there's so many stories about Jesus returning
- 1:17:04and people not being prepared. Like half the people will be
- 1:17:07prepared and go with him. So I think there are people that
- 1:17:10that do believe in Jesus and they're still going to be here,
- 1:17:13but they're not going to have been be prepared when Jesus
- 1:17:15returns. So they're going to be here on
- 1:17:17earth and they're going to have to go through this trial after
- 1:17:21this testing. They're going to have to go
- 1:17:23through experiencing the wrath of God and they're going to have
- 1:17:27to endure longer. Just like this says.
- 1:17:29This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of
- 1:17:33God's people because not everyone is going to be gathered
- 1:17:38to Jesus. It's really clear in Scripture.
- 1:17:42And so if you are not prepared, then you're going to have hell
- 1:17:46on earth literally because of what is about what is mentioned
- 1:17:51in prophecy that's going to come.
- 1:17:54So this then that the first beast was out of the sea.
- 1:17:57Then it talks about the beast out of the earth and that's
- 1:18:00basically the the false prophet one.
- 1:18:03And he's the one that actually forces people to get the mark of
- 1:18:07the beast. They kind of work together.
- 1:18:10And so let's see. Then there's Babylon, the
- 1:18:13prostitute on the beast. So this is Babylon is this
- 1:18:16prostitute like Rahab. Remember we were talking about
- 1:18:20that and Leviathan was also called Rahab.
- 1:18:24So again, I, I think this is something spiritual and this is
- 1:18:28some entity that we just are not aware of, a spiritual entity
- 1:18:35that is making us. Let me read this to you.
- 1:18:42Babylon the prostitute on the beast, one of the seven angels
- 1:18:45who had the seven bowls came in to me to say, come, I will show
- 1:18:49you what show you the punishment of the prostitute who sits by
- 1:18:53many waters. So it says with her.
- 1:18:59The kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of
- 1:19:03the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.
- 1:19:07OK, so adultery, you know, it's maybe worshipping another God.
- 1:19:13And so that all makes sense. But then when you go into the
- 1:19:17actual Greek words, what it says kind of gives a little bit of a
- 1:19:21different spin on this. So I'm going to read what the
- 1:19:25Greek part actually says. With whom the kings of the earth
- 1:19:30committed acts of immorality, and who and those who dwell on
- 1:19:38the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.
- 1:19:46It's talking about immorality when you, I mean, I guess
- 1:19:51adultery, you can say that, but that is immoral.
- 1:19:55But this is like this is greater than that.
- 1:19:58When you look at the outline of the biblical usage from
- 1:20:02blueletterbible.org, it talks about illicit sexual
- 1:20:05intercourse, adultery, fornication, homosexuality,
- 1:20:11lesbianism, intercourse with animals, etcetera, sexual
- 1:20:16intercourse with close relatives.
- 1:20:18Sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman.
- 1:20:22And that's referring to Mark chapter 10, verse 11.
- 1:20:27And this thing I think might be a translation issue about the
- 1:20:32divorced man or divorced woman, because I think this has to do
- 1:20:37with if they're separated rather than divorced, if they haven't
- 1:20:42been given a certificate of divorce.
- 1:20:43Because the English translation doesn't, I mean, should have
- 1:20:53translated put away as separated and then divorced as divorced.
- 1:20:59But the way that it was translated, it makes even when
- 1:21:04it says put away, it calls it divorced.
- 1:21:07But put away and divorced are not the same thing.
- 1:21:09So I think that just that kind of throws things off.
- 1:21:14But then there's also the metaphor, the worship of idols,
- 1:21:17the defilement of idolatry as incurred by eating sacrificed
- 1:21:22off to offered to idols. So it, it really has a lot of
- 1:21:29it's like porneia. And so it really has a lot to do
- 1:21:33with with sexual immorality, which I didn't quite get that
- 1:21:40when I first read the the verse that about this this Babylon
- 1:21:49entity. So I just thought that was
- 1:21:53something that because with the way our world is right now, I
- 1:21:57mean, yeah, we we definitely have a lot of that going on
- 1:22:03right now. So I lost my place on that about
- 1:22:08Babylon. So because I was, I don't know.
- 1:22:16So I don't know if I should really continue to talk about
- 1:22:18this any longer because I lost the place, but that Mystery
- 1:22:24Babylon are had a name there. I mean, there's so much I need
- 1:22:28to just do a separate one because it's there's just too
- 1:22:31much on that. I'm going to see what our next
- 1:22:33search. I was looking at Leviathan.
- 1:22:35We talked about that. We talked about Job.
- 1:22:39Now Isaiah chapter 51 says, Awake, awake, arm of the Lord,
- 1:22:44clothe yourself with strength, awake as in the days gone by, as
- 1:22:48in generations of old. Was it not you who cut Rahab to
- 1:22:53pieces? Who pierced that monster
- 1:22:56through? So this is interesting too,
- 1:23:00because one of the heads that appeared to have been injured
- 1:23:07was on the beast, and maybe God had already pierced this Rahab,
- 1:23:15the leviathan out in the sea, and it's coming back.
- 1:23:22That's what it sounds like now. I mean seriously, that just came
- 1:23:25to me right now while I was talking after reading Isaiah 51
- 1:23:29because Rahab is just like AI don't know a metaphor of Rahab
- 1:23:35was the prostitute. He's not talking about the
- 1:23:37literal prostitute. He's talking about it says who
- 1:23:40pierced that monster through. So he's talking about that
- 1:23:44monster. That monster is also called
- 1:23:46Leviathan. So and then I thought about the
- 1:23:49beast that comes up out of the sea and is and one of the heads
- 1:23:55appears to have been wounded. Could it have been wounded
- 1:23:58because the Lord, remember the Lord also said he that he he
- 1:24:03said in Genesis that that, that your seed will crush his head
- 1:24:09and he will strike the heel. That's Jesus is going to crush
- 1:24:13the head of the serpent. But the serpent was going to
- 1:24:17strike his heel. So could that Jesus, could it be
- 1:24:23Jesus or the Father who had cut Rahab to pieces a long time ago?
- 1:24:29Because it sounds like in somewhat like the Psalms, I
- 1:24:32think, where it happened in the past.
- 1:24:35But then we're seeing that it's going to be also in the future.
- 1:24:39So just something to think about, maybe to look, but I'm
- 1:24:44kind of thinking that's what it will be.
- 1:24:47So here's another interesting thing.
- 1:24:49Egypt will hiss like a fleeing serpent as the enemy advances in
- 1:24:56force. They will come against her with
- 1:24:58axes like men who cut down trees.
- 1:25:01So Egypt is also given, you know, not I mean hiss like a
- 1:25:06fleeing serpent. I think that actually came up
- 1:25:09when I searched Leviathan and it's the same word like the are
- 1:25:14the gliding serpent, the fleeing serpent that Israel is being not
- 1:25:19Israel. Egypt is being compared to this
- 1:25:22fleeing serpent as the enemy. But Egypt is is not going to
- 1:25:26escape the hand of this entity that's going to be successful
- 1:25:30and bring Egypt under their hand under control.
- 1:25:37And most of the nations we talked about Deuteronomy where
- 1:25:42gods that had recently appeared now hears about the beast.
- 1:25:48So this is in Revelation chapter 17.
- 1:25:53This is here's where this the beast which you saw once was,
- 1:25:59now is not and yet will come up out of the abyss and go to its
- 1:26:06destruction. So I think this is something
- 1:26:08spiritual that is, you know, maybe this is Leviathan that's
- 1:26:12in there. That whatever Leviathan is, the
- 1:26:16inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in
- 1:26:20the book of life from the creation of the world will be
- 1:26:22astonished when they see the beast because it once was, now
- 1:26:28is not and yet will come. And it says the beast who once
- 1:26:34was and now is not, is an eighth king.
- 1:26:37He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.
- 1:26:42The 10 horns you saw are 10 kings who have not yet received
- 1:26:48a Kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings
- 1:26:54along with the beast. They have one purpose, and they
- 1:26:58will give their power and authority to the beast.
- 1:27:02They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph
- 1:27:07over them because he is Lord of Lord and King of kings, and with
- 1:27:11him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.
- 1:27:21The Angel said to me, this is John's vision.
- 1:27:24The waters you saw where the prostitute sits are people's
- 1:27:28multitudes, nations and languages.
- 1:27:31So the prostitute is is sitting in or around people, lots of
- 1:27:37people, lots of nations, lots of languages.
- 1:27:41And the beast and the 10 horns you saw will hate the
- 1:27:45prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and
- 1:27:51leave her naked. They will eat her flesh and burn
- 1:27:54her with fire. For God has put it into their
- 1:27:57hearts to accomplish His purpose by agreeing to hand over the
- 1:28:03boot to the beast, their royal authority, until God's words are
- 1:28:09fulfilled. The woman you saw is the great
- 1:28:13city that rules over the kings of the earth.
- 1:28:18So wasn't it Leviathan who is called the King of the Proud?
- 1:28:26I don't know. This is kind of getting
- 1:28:28interesting. But seriously, this stuff is
- 1:28:30just now coming to mind just from reading that and going into
- 1:28:33this. So here's something else that I
- 1:28:36want to bring up. The great city split into three
- 1:28:40parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed.
- 1:28:43God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with
- 1:28:49the wine of the fury of his wrath.
- 1:28:53So when Babylon gets destroyed, it sounds like it's part of
- 1:28:56God's wrath, which is good news because that means that the
- 1:29:06people who have prepared who are, you know, when, when God
- 1:29:13says very often in Scripture come out of Babylon, come out
- 1:29:18like escape from her so that you don't get the destruction.
- 1:29:22I think we're all going to see this.
- 1:29:24And I think that it's, you know, it's part of God's wrath.
- 1:29:31And the good news is that people who have turn to God in
- 1:29:36repentance and who have the Holy Spirit are not subject to God's
- 1:29:40wrath. So if Babylon, there has been
- 1:29:44some speculation that Babylon the Great could be the United
- 1:29:47States. But if we are turned to God,
- 1:29:53somehow those will be protected. So I don't, I don't know, but it
- 1:30:01seems I'm not really sure because I did when I read, I
- 1:30:05read that Babylon would be destroyed before the mark of the
- 1:30:10beast actually went out. So I know we're going to see the
- 1:30:13Antichrist very clear about that in Scripture when he does forces
- 1:30:19the mark of the beast with the false prophet.
- 1:30:22I don't know if all the people will, all of the people who
- 1:30:27believe will be present or not. I think that maybe they will be
- 1:30:34spared that because basically they've already proved to God of
- 1:30:38their faithfulness and they've prepared themselves.
- 1:30:41That's why do it sooner than later because it's not, it's not
- 1:30:45easy to change. It takes time.
- 1:30:49I, I guess some people say that it's instantaneous.
- 1:30:51For me, it wasn't, It was like a couple years before I actually
- 1:30:54surrendered and that's why it's just receiving the Holy Spirit.
- 1:30:59Probably when you when you truly surrender, then everything
- 1:31:02happens really quickly. I guess that really did happen
- 1:31:06to me is that I really started wanting to talk about my faith,
- 1:31:09talk about this, talk about everything with people.
- 1:31:14And I was never like that before.
- 1:31:16So I guess that does. But that was finally when I
- 1:31:19actually surrendered to God that that happened when I, you know,
- 1:31:23I was always believed, but I wasn't living that way.
- 1:31:27So I was like a fake Christian, I guess.
- 1:31:31So when I was talking about how we are not subject to wrath and
- 1:31:35the the the order of the events that come towards the end, it
- 1:31:41says in Luke that it it says. But when you see Jerusalem
- 1:31:49surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
- 1:31:54Now Luke doesn't go into as much detail as Matthew and Mark do,
- 1:31:59because Matthew says. Therefore, when you see the
- 1:32:03abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet
- 1:32:07standing in the holy place, then let those are who are in Judea
- 1:32:11flee to the mountains. Let him who is on a housetop not
- 1:32:14go down to take anything out of his house, and let him who is in
- 1:32:19the field not go back to get his clothes.
- 1:32:21But woe to those who are pregnant, and to those who are
- 1:32:24nursing babies in that day, and pay that your flight may not be
- 1:32:28in winter or on the Sabbath, for then there will be great
- 1:32:32tribulation, such that is not been since the beginning of the
- 1:32:37world, until this time no, nor ever shall be.
- 1:32:43And then Mark says So when you see the abomination of
- 1:32:47desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it
- 1:32:54ought not let the reader understand.
- 1:32:56Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
- 1:32:58Let him who is on the House top not go down into the house, nor
- 1:33:02enter to take anything out of his house, and let him who is in
- 1:33:06the field not go back to get his clothes.
- 1:33:07But woe to those who are pregnant and those who are
- 1:33:10nursing babies in those days. And pray that your flight may
- 1:33:13not be in winter, for in those days there will be tribulation,
- 1:33:18such as has not been since the beginning of creation, and which
- 1:33:23God created until this time, nor shall ever be.
- 1:33:28And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh
- 1:33:33would be saved. But for the elect's sake, whom
- 1:33:37He chose, He shortened the days. So I think this is the people
- 1:33:42who are prepared that they, the ones that are prepared, then
- 1:33:49they're the ones who will be sheltered.
- 1:33:52So like I said, Luke talks about it says then know that it's
- 1:33:58desolation is near Jerusalem's desolation, but he doesn't go
- 1:34:02into detail about this image and this person claiming to be God.
- 1:34:07That's what's in Daniel. The prophet is this person who's
- 1:34:10claiming he's he's God and he's on the holy standing in the holy
- 1:34:14place claiming to be God and doing these blasphemous things.
- 1:34:18Luke does say, let him flee to the mountains.
- 1:34:21He does say the same thing there.
- 1:34:23Let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let and not
- 1:34:27let those who are in the country enter her.
- 1:34:30So for the, For these are the days of vengeance that all
- 1:34:35things which are written may be fulfilled.
- 1:34:39And then it goes on to talking more about that.
- 1:34:41So and, and then it says right after that it says, and they
- 1:34:46will fall by the edge of the sword and will be LED captive to
- 1:34:49all nations. That's just what Isaiah talks
- 1:34:52about. They're going to be captive.
- 1:34:53That's how he's punishing. That's how they are going to
- 1:34:56atone for their guilt. And Jerusalem will be trampled
- 1:34:59by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
- 1:35:04And there will be signs in this is Luke chapter 21.
- 1:35:07There will be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars and
- 1:35:10on the earth. Distress of nations with
- 1:35:13perplexity, the sea and waves rolling.
- 1:35:16Men's hearts fail, failing from fear and expectation of those
- 1:35:23things which are coming to the earth.
- 1:35:24For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
- 1:35:27Then they will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power
- 1:35:32and great glory. Now when these things begin to
- 1:35:35happen, look up and lift your heads because your redemption
- 1:35:39draws near. So Luke leaves out the part
- 1:35:43about the Antichrist or a part about Daniel the prophet.
- 1:35:46But Matthew and Mark say that. So everybody who believes in
- 1:35:51this pretty tribulation, rapture, they, they always
- 1:35:55reference Luke, but they never reference the Matthew 24 or Mark
- 1:36:0213. And if you read those in order,
- 1:36:06what happens? What Jesus himself said, it says
- 1:36:10that we will see. When you see this lawless one,
- 1:36:14when he's revealed, then you flee if you are in Jerusalem.
- 1:36:20And that's The thing is that Luke doesn't get detailed about
- 1:36:24that. He just says no, that it's
- 1:36:26desolation is near. He isn't.
- 1:36:29He doesn't say what that desolation is.
- 1:36:31And the desolation is the Antichrist.
- 1:36:34And so after that, and that's what both of the other two
- 1:36:38chapters say, that after that happens, that's when Jesus will
- 1:36:43return. And that's what he cuts those
- 1:36:46days short or nobody would be safe for the for the elect, for
- 1:36:51his chosen ones, for the ones who have turned to him, those
- 1:36:55who have prepared. But then the rest who haven't
- 1:36:58prepared are going to have to suffer through it.
- 1:37:01Now, if they do turn to God during that time, he will
- 1:37:06probably be a a protector because that's what he usually
- 1:37:09does. Or it does say like people may
- 1:37:12need to be beheaded for that. But then he will also make it
- 1:37:16right in the Kingdom because the people who were beheaded for
- 1:37:20their faith will rule with him for the 1000 years in the
- 1:37:25millennial Kingdom. So it's, it's just, you know,
- 1:37:30maybe you get your head chopped off if you don't want to
- 1:37:32surrender now, but you want to be in God's Kingdom.
- 1:37:35So, you know, that's a possibility or maybe you just
- 1:37:41take care of getting the sin out of your life and turning over
- 1:37:43to, you know, turning away from it, turning towards God and do
- 1:37:47it now. And maybe you will be one of
- 1:37:49those people who will be alive, who will be alive and just rise
- 1:37:55up to meet Jesus in the sky and not have to be beheaded because
- 1:38:00there will be some people who do that.
- 1:38:03So I think there were some other things that I about the key to
- 1:38:06the abyss. So there is when the trumpet
- 1:38:13that's during the wrath of God and it says that John saw a star
- 1:38:21that had fallen from the sky to the earth.
- 1:38:24So I think that is one of the fallen angels because stars are
- 1:38:29representations of angels or messengers in the Book of
- 1:38:35Revelation. And this is at the the 5th
- 1:38:39trumpet. So this is part of God's wrath.
- 1:38:44And so this star comes down and it is given the key to the shaft
- 1:38:50of the abyss, and that's when all these like locust things
- 1:38:53come out. So that is one thing.
- 1:38:55It's not like it's not the beast that comes out of the abyss, but
- 1:38:59it's the locust things. But then in Revelation 20,
- 1:39:03there's an Angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the
- 1:39:07abyss and holding it in his hand, a great chain.
- 1:39:10He's the one who binds, I guess, binds Satan there for the 1000
- 1:39:17years and seals it for the 1000 years.
- 1:39:20So Satan can't go out and deceive people again.
- 1:39:24So the abyss is talked about in about 8 No 9 times in eight
- 1:39:28verses in the New International Version.
- 1:39:31So one of the stories is when in Luke chapter 8 where this man
- 1:39:38was possessed by multiple demons and he begged the demons
- 1:39:42actually begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the
- 1:39:47abyss. So Jesus allowed them to go into
- 1:39:50some pigs that were nearby. Then the pigs ran and jumped off
- 1:39:52a Cliff and fell into the water below and drowned.
- 1:39:57And then we have the abyss mentioned with the the 5th Angel
- 1:40:01that we just talked about. And what happens when that Angel
- 1:40:04opens it up is when he opened the abyss, smoke rose from it
- 1:40:08like smoke from a gigantic furnace.
- 1:40:10The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the abyss.
- 1:40:14And in the abyss they had as a king over them the Angel of the
- 1:40:19abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is
- 1:40:25Apollyon, and that is means destroyer.
- 1:40:29So again, this is part of God's wrath when all this stuff
- 1:40:32happens. And then there are these two
- 1:40:35witnesses that will be proclaiming they will be giving
- 1:40:40the testimony of Jesus. And when they have finished
- 1:40:43their testimony, everybody hates them.
- 1:40:45The beast that comes up from the abyss will attack them, but
- 1:40:48they'll get to do their message. And the beast comes up from the
- 1:40:53abyss and attacks them, overpowers them and kills them.
- 1:40:58And then we read about the beast which once was, is not now, and
- 1:41:02yet will come up. We read that already and then in
- 1:41:06Revelation 20 it we talked about this too having the Angel coming
- 1:41:10down out of heaven, having the key to the abyss.
- 1:41:13And then in chapter 20 also it says he threw him into the abyss
- 1:41:18Satan and locked and sealed it over him to keep him from
- 1:41:21deceiving the nation's anymore until the 1000 years were ended.
- 1:41:25After that, he must be set free for a short time.
- 1:41:29And then I think we covered all the different verses of
- 1:41:32Scripture that I had looked up. And again, it's another long
- 1:41:35one, but hopefully some of this stuff is helpful.
- 1:41:40And I, I don't know, I don't know if it's organized enough,
- 1:41:44but hopefully you learned something from it.
- 1:41:46I know I feel like I did learn something just as I was talking,
- 1:41:50going through this, and it's really about preparation and
- 1:41:54just so that we can be prepared and we can prepare others so
- 1:41:59that people don't have to go through the wrath.
- 1:42:01Just like God says about Israel. He's like, I'd rather, you know,
- 1:42:06he goes, I, I could set them all on fire in verse four, he said,
- 1:42:10or let them come to me for a refuge, let them make peace with
- 1:42:14me. And and then it'll be different.
- 1:42:17It'll be a different story. But people don't do that.
- 1:42:20And that's why people have to go through wrath.
- 1:42:22So think about it. If you don't have the Holy
- 1:42:25Spirit right now, seek God and ask God for the Holy Spirit and
- 1:42:30ask God for forgiveness of everything that he doesn't want
- 1:42:34you to do. And you find out what he doesn't
- 1:42:35want you to do. From the Bible.
- 1:42:37I always tell people to read Revelation, the last two
- 1:42:40chapters of Revelation because the second to the last chapter
- 1:42:44of Revelation talks about all the things that will not be in
- 1:42:47God's Kingdom. And if that describes you, then
- 1:42:52you definitely want to change. And you can't change on your
- 1:42:56own. You need the Holy Spirit to
- 1:42:57change. But God is willing to give you
- 1:43:00the Holy Spirit if you're sincere about your desire to be
- 1:43:03with Him in His Kingdom.
