- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: One of the reasons we're broke is our self-esteem, our asses are on our, even riding the wrong horse because you make money doing the day you build wealth and you're sleep, the bank will lend you money, we do prove you don't need it.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: Stop trying to impress somebody you don't want to be like.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I'm unlocked in another level.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't give a dang what somebody thinks about me.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you respect me.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: People see successful people and they're like, oh yeah, you can give me the philosophy on the, but emotionally I am torn down.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: What was the biggest one that you could remember?
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Were you, you didn't realize that God was with you every day and I fulfilled you.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: Probably doesn't seem like you're worried about much.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, you know, like all my problems.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: And it's almost like if you missed, like, let's say, in a particular status, I have to get to this meeting or else, or I might miss an opportunity.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you may not have that anxiety.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, but we gotta work to that though.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, but part of the way, the bank will lend you money when you do prove you don't need it.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a little bit of a shell game because clearly, if you go to the bank, you need the money.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: But the bank will only lay you the money if you prove or they feel you've proven you don't need it.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: So you got to get the bank such confident like, oh my god, this person here, of course, is good for it.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: No problem, give it to them.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: If you need it, you ain't getting it.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: If they perceive that you're desperate for it, you definitely get it.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: So, if you go to a meeting with, well, I call it principle, you know, it's very serious person, and you look desperate, are you look like you're on the edge, like you really have to have this happen.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: Do you make a nervous than I do in that?
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta be relaxed.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I know different than growing up.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: There was a pretty girl in school, fine girl, fine girl, fine girl in school.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: And she finally gave you a little attention.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: You got a nice little meeting, whatever.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: You start sitting her.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: You send her one rose and a very short note was really nice to meet you.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking forward to seeing you sometime.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that was classy and she's like, wow, it's guys special.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: You send her two dozen roses every day for a week.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: and 15 text messages, and she's like getting the court order.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: She's blocking you what in the hell.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's the thing that nobody really wants to be a member of a club that ever had them as a member.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's a joke, but there's some truth to it, so you can't be...
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's not BS, it's like...
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: So, if you're going to a meeting in the meeting and you just can't get a meeting and you call the person in the person like, I'll work up, you're like, well, I guess I shouldn't have been meeting with you.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's your loss, that's not mine, you crazy, because anybody knows at this level things happen, you know I'm not a flake, I'm at this level, you know I'm not a flake, you know I'm not playing a game with you.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: It happens, yeah.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm late.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't at the, the titty bar.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't now hanging out with my boys.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: I was in a meeting.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't call you.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: And don't tell me you've not been in a meeting and couldn't call somebody, or it's inappropriate to text.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: Get over it, right?
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to reschedule or do you not?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that people go, people at that point, they know you.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when somebody else is real and they know when you're real about how you manage crisis.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: Life and success is not about managing so-called.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: Success is about how you manage pain the whole key to life is managing pain You can't successfully manage pain the pain you crave for yourself the pain.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is a party about this you can't you can't succeed in life So at the at the point we're at right now, and I guess we just started to podcast already It's it's easier to talk from that vantage point, but somebody that's scrappy like oh my gosh I need this
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: How do we tell them to not be as anxious because it's not a switch that you can turn off because you you feel desperate Because you're desperate.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: How do you turn it off?
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: You're not desperate.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: God's never left you one time Not once You did the right thing you leaned in you did your part You didn't you're not suffered for a meal you didn't leave you at home as on the corner somewhere.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: You did your part
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he didn't give you what you thought he should have gave you, but he didn't leave you.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: And what I've learned is if you get what you want sometimes you wouldn't want what you got.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: And God never gave anybody else something or someone he wanted you to have.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: So relax.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: You can't go to grace, you've got to prepare it, which in prepares a well for the coming of grace to you.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Relax, faith is what you do when you don't have all the facts.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: Relax, you want to make God laugh?
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me your plan.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Where are you always this way?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Or did you develop to this?
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Is this hindsight talking?
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's a wisdom talking.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: So this goes back to your early question.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: of, you know, like education and smarts comes from books, good genes and paying attention.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: But wisdom comes from experience in wounds.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: You got to get your stripes that comes from wounds.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: And when the wounds heal, you got stripes that teaches you something.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: You can't grow this is biblical except
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's not me talking less the Bible.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: You can't grow except through legitimate suffering.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: You can't have a rainbow without a storm.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: First, that's science.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: You literally, if you see a rainbow in this guy, there was a storm.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: That preceded it.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: So you cannot have a rainbow with a storm first, which means less a scientific fact.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: So don't avoid the storm.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: Walk right through it.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: the lesson.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: You think it's about this achievement.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: You think this is about some getting to the end.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: There is no end.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm dealing with some stuff.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not anxious about it.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's just one of the things in my life that has to be managed through.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: And, but that's one of, you know, 20 things in a day that I'm 50 things in a day, I'm dealing with and, you know, these are high class problems.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, can you?
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know, right now you understand that you have to go through a storm to get to the rainbow.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: But can you tell me about the biggest storm you've had and what you were thinking going through it?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: Because again, people see successful people, and they're like, oh, yeah, you can give me the philosophy on the, but emotionally, I am torn down.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: What was the biggest storm that you could remember?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Were you, you didn't realize that God was with you every day and that we failed you?
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, most of the examples I can't talk about is there's like 15 layers of lawyers and documents.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, basically Bishop TD Jax, who's a wonderful human being, so smart, he's become a dear friend and he called me one day and he's like, you do realize you're not like
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Of course I mean, I don't know, you're that a person.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're a thing.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: You're John Hope Bryant.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: You just represent opportunity for people.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're like a slot machine.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: You either come up.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: All right now, maybe not about my peeps.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: They ride for me.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I ride for them.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: I know you ride for them.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even see you.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: And an all I can tell you is I found that to be true.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: And there's been several situations where I've never been heard by a stranger.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now think about that for a minute.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: All of my blind sides.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: events, blinds out of events, all of the drama I managed.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: Are people under?
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: People like trusted.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: People who, I mean, I might have known you for 20, 30 years, but money and power and it changes people.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: And what people want, what people get in their head, about what they deserve, who they are to you or whatever.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then they, so heard people, heard people.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: So if I'm unbalanced, I'm going to make an unbalanced decision.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'll put you another way.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's an old Southern quote.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: No matter how much I love you, my son and my daughter, if I don't have wisdom, all I can give you is my own ignorance.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: So out of love, in good intentions, I've had that pass down bad habits,
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: But it's what I don't know that I don't know.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's killing me.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: But I think I know from the perspective of the person that hurts you, from the perspective of the perspective.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: And here's a real one.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: If you go to them, they are like, I didn't do anything to you.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because the rationalize is to tell rationalize.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: A person can live with themselves, unless they make it make sense in their own mind.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: No one's gonna wake up in the morning and go, oh, I'm a bum.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a thief.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: I took something that wasn't my own or I hurt somebody because of my own insecurities, that takes enlightenment.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: That takes self-reflection.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: that takes high frequency in thinking, that takes integrity, that takes transparency.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: Most of all, it takes being reasonably comfortable in your own skin.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: The real answer to your question is, you asked me in my now different than when I was before.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: Is I think about the question?
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because whereas before I was, I had high confidence, which is based on competence.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: So it's very competent, it's always been very competent.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: I never said this on camera before, but my mother, you know, when I was in an elementary school school, she claimed that I had a genius like you.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now, whether she was telling me that because I passed the test and it was written somewhere or she telling me I could try and make me feel better by myself.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but I've always known I was smart.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I have no question about my intellect.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I started my first business when I was 10 years old.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and put the liquor store out of the candy business at 10 years old.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I've been rolling, like a business rolling stone for a while, but I had questionable self-esteem.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I had a high confidence, but I had lower self-esteem.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: My mother told me she loved me.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I had, I knew I was loved, but I was socially awkward.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, for most of my life, I was a, I'd go to a party or whatever and just stand in the corner.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I wouldn't talk to anybody.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: I was, I was couldn't wait to leave.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: I got there and couldn't wait to leave.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: I would have awkward conversations.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: People would just tell me to slow it down.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: This is the whole thing about walking the room and living in giants.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you're saying slow down.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'd leave messages on answering machines back in the day when they were answering machines.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: And the person like, I have no idea what you're saying.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Because you're just trying to get through the moment of it.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think I did.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think that what I was saying
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: was valuable enough, based on the person saying it.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Me, that you should sit there and listen to it all.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to run out of time before you were done with me.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I just ran through it.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: And at some point, I became reasonably comfortable my own skin.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's the key.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: Did something happen?
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: I've asked you that because I feel the same way some time.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, everybody has a little bit of inferiority complex or, you know, there's a phrase, and I'm not blanking on it, but there's a phrase where, you know, you don't believe the things about yourself and other people believe about you and it's sort of like Emperor has no clothes syndrome, but
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not there anymore.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just I don't I'm not better than I'm not better than my compliments I'm not as good as my family.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: I am who I am.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: You like me great.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: You don't like me?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: Still great.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: You don't like me.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: I like me.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: And not one ounce of my self-esteem.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: My true self-esteem is dependent upon your acceptance of me.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: We can agree to disagree about that.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not you, but I'm just saying to the world.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: Target with a fool proves there are two So somebody can't drag me into an argument about something.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: I have You have an opinion about X.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: You have an opinion about me.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: You're done
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: I feel better because I literally get killed as I really respect me and learn to like me than like me and never respect me.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, you know, the opinions are like we're in, everybody's got one, they've been people in the world.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think that time and experience, you know, I've been in a hundred countries, you go to all these meetings, you go, the person that stores me, that person's a billion there, that person's CEO and
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, okay, what they're doing, I can do it.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm gonna do it.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's not about having an attitude.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think that when you're insecure and confident become arrogant.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: When you're insecure and confident, you become arrogant.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and that's to be poisonous.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I understand.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: So you have high confidence because you're competent.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: You're a great engineer or you're a great computer tech or you're a great podcast or you're a great singer.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: You're fantastic at what you do.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: But you personally have a low self-steer.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: you don't esteem yourself.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a hole in your soul, right?
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: So in by the way, when I said that low self esteem, I meant that because of the social awkwardness, my mother's love of her telling me, I love you.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: I knew she loved me, but I didn't think society liked me.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: So even though I was ultimately cool, I was awkward in public because I'm like, well,
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: These people here think I'm a dots right so I got to talk to these people over here So I was always because they're opinion matter to me.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay I was always pitching and promoting and selling which made it worse So what would I get my 18 year advice I get my 18 year old self?
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: Stop trying to impress somebody you don't want to be like
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody will know, when you grew up in an neighborhood or you go to a school, there's a six or eight square blocks of Liberty.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: Within six or eight blocks, everybody knows it.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Jojo.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: Pookey.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Johnny Boy.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Joanne.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: So fine.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody knows Joanne.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: But you get eight blocks out.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: Certainly you get eight miles out.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: somebody knows these people and nobody cares.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody cares.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Go to another school and nobody cares and this is the person in everybody's Deferring to and kissing their ring at that school or that neighborhood and you waste all this time Trying to impress that person and if you really look at that person
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to be like them, you don't have a job, you don't have a marketable skills, right?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: They've got to go to physicists, they don't take a bath every day, you know whatever the thing is, they don't have, they just, they're cool, or whatever you want to, the girls like them, the guys like them, the, the people laugh at their jokes, but they don't go to work, they don't, they don't have any, they don't have any wealth, they don't have no future.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, it was guy growing up when I was coming in, I
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: He was like a girl guy.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: He was so pretty.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: He was so handsome and the guy was almost pretty.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: And he had pressed hair, you know, down and back in the back there for the poems.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: He was here at the top.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Showed the other.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: He had the cleanest, he had the silk shirts he'd wear, he had to make sure.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: And he had a little cloth and go between the shirt and the pair.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: So the stuffing goes in, and all the girls.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: had no career.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: He had no wealth.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he had a job.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: He worked at a local grocery store, which was cool.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: But when he came home, he was like, Prince Harrier, some stuff.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: It is due was like, again, I'm completely straight.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm going to give you a credit.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, pretty.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, all the girls were all over him.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be pretty, like you, well, I mean this, someday you go, you wake, you wake up, okay, by the way, the guy in the bathroom, me for a job.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the guy's, all the people in my group with, in the room in my car sheet, it's like, I haven't seen you so long, it, you know, so, it's waste work, you know, so,
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: Can I have a meeting?
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: Can I have a, do you have any job?
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Can I need an investment?
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, okay, what, what happened to that stuff you told me when I, I don't say it to them.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know Jim.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't drop rub it in.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: But in the back of my mind, I'm like, no, no, wait, what happened to the two of the two?
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't had that guy.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever the guy you thought was a dance.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't make people pay up a price for their stupidity right away.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think I live my life and come back to your question because it was really good.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: Talk without being offensive.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: Listen without being defences, and always leave even your adversary with their dignity.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: Because if you don't, they'll spend the rest of their life working to make you miserable.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's become personal because you did the fight.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is why self esteem is so important.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now explain what self esteem is because people say that, they don't know what they're talking about.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is why self esteem, self period, love period, self period, acceptance period is so important.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: If I have low self esteem goes back to the point about having high confidence and low self esteem, high confidence is, again, I'm good at what I do, but because there's a whole in my soul, I'm uncomfortable and I don't think that I am who everybody else thinks I am.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: I have to compensate for that.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: And even though I don't have to, I feel like I've got a compensate for that.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm going to end up in a, now if you say something about me, that I, or about my opinion, that I don't agree with, you may feel, I'm putting, in this example of making you this person who's, oh, no, play, I'll say, I may feel, I'm going to make myself the person who's insecure.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: But I've got a fight to the death to protect my honor.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: I got to argue with you over this stupid thing for three hours.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: Then I may pull out a knife because you know you irritated me or so it escalates.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Because when you have a when there's a hole at the bottom of this cup, you got to pour forever to feel to keep this thing full.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I got to keep this thing from from drain it out.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: So if myself a steam, my acceptance is dependent upon your acceptance of me,
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Then, how do I ever got out of a conversation that people have difference of opinion?
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, let's just, I mean, yes, people around me, you can never grow because you can have a challenge view around you and you're going to try to intimidate and bully and master.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: If I don't want you to name any names here, but if I say to you, think about a public figure, very powerful now in powerful,
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: high-confidence, really good at marketing, and a few other things, and communication, massively slow self-esteem, needs to hear their name every 12 seconds, massively insecure, as a result of that bullying, you know who I'm talking about, and we don't have to utter
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: stop because you know for the point is in the audience knows what you're talking about but why did that why did I stop short talk without being offensive listen without being defensive and always leave even your adversary with their dignity because if you don't that's been the rest of their life working to make you miserable it becomes personal what if the Jews is not worth the squeeze why pick the fight
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: If the juice that you're going to get from making the point is not worth the squeeze.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: In other words, I won the battle and now you created a war.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody's not after you.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: For good.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: Because you've humiliated them.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: What's in you that you got to pick that fight?
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you cool in your... Come back to being reasonably comfortable in your own skin.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't give a dang what somebody thinks about me.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you respect me, but you don't have to like me.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is what parents get wrong.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you can't, and you should have children if you're a child.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you got baby mama's and baby daddy's not mothers and fathers.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_01]: You need wisdom for mom, mom, you need wisdom for baby mama right there.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: So you have to go through something and you got your exam passed.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't fail them in circulation exam
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: But it's so if you don't have that, you've got nothing to give this kid but your own insecurities.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: And hurt people, hurt people.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: So let me tell you what self-steam is.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the effects of it.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: If I don't like me, I can't like you.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: If I don't feel good about me, I'm not gonna feel good about you.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Because deeper, if I don't respect me, don't expect me to respect you.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: If I don't love me,
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: And here's a big one.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: If I don't have a purpose in my life, I'm going to make your life a living hell.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever goes around comes around.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: So now you are in relationship with somebody.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: So you have a giver to give her that exotic.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: You have a giver to take her.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's neurotic.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: And you have a taker to take her in that psychotic.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody's giving us a nice take it, but how high self esteem says, he goes on flying packs.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: You never seen a flock of vehicles.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: Buzzard's love packs.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, yeah, they're just low altitude birds and turkeys got wings and came flying.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: All they do is profile.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: trying to be something they are not.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: High confidence, no self-esteem.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Player Instagram faking it like you're rich.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: Instagram faking it, you know that those dollar bills are fake from Las Vegas.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know that you're leasing that Ferrari for two hours for the photo up.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: come on now, you know that you are in a fake jet and the same doors and it is not an operative or you've read it from the owner for two hours, you know, because the person who owns the jet, the person who owns, I mean, I've got
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: I've got nice cars.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: You don't see them in my, you don't see them anywhere.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: I've got, I've got nice stuff.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: If you see my stuff is by accident, because I don't need to show you that, to show you me.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Because you have high self-esteem.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: No, because I am me.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: I am the product.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: My car's not my self-esteem.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: My car's not my identity.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: My car's my transportation.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: Are you saying that you were transporting this self-esteem, man?
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: And their assets were on their...
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, we can go down as rabbit hole, all you want, but I mean, I mean, I can literally in one podcast at a spleen.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's playing.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, talk about why we are fairly.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I, let's have the conversation.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's have the conversation.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: I can explain with, it don't take 30, 40 minutes to explain how genius, brilliant people are shooting themselves in the foot.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's not complicated.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: And we do it to ourselves every day.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: And large part, because different from African Caribbean, some of African Americans know, different from African Caribbean's,
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: slavery here was brutal it's separated mothers and fathers and children didn't happen in Caribbean they kept the families together that they're being slavery they kept the families together so you're still slaves but we got y'all together you're just not being paid
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: But just, his mom is to add this kids, this uncle, and then when slavery was over, okay, there's a minister of tourism who's black, and there's a doctor who's black, and there's a criminal who's black, you know, there's a trash collector who's black, my confidence and my self esteem is in place.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now maybe my confidence is not so high because it's a smaller economy and not a lot of jobs and I don't have to place it really Excel how great I am with my self-esteem.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: I sense of self-love and my identity and my comfort that I am somebody.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not proven that anybody and I don't have the fancy cars and the fancy things to lean on anyway.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: So now you come to America.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: now you need to do in the biggest market economy in the world because now you're you come here meet so you have low confidence oh my god i'm not sure i can do this and i want to follow rules and i don't want to finish they're very respectful people immigrants here i get so they don't i stay at the mark i stay at the park high at date in wash and dc whenever i go to wash and dc i should have said that anyway
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't this public figure thing is a weird thing like you I used to be in a getaway with everything not getaway with nothing He was like showing up your hotels It's like, oh yeah, I call you rules People call you cell phone and I'm like, man, did I get you my name?
- 29:48[UNKNOWN]: What were you?
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: And people think they were right like being your life Because they think they know you Or they want to So anyway, they go to say anyway, park high at DC And so I was staying at 30, 30, 30, 30 The whole month we've made a show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show up at show
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: Ethiopian guy comes in from Ethiopian.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: He gets a job.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: He has a dormant.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: He tells his voice as a job open for the other dormant.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: Then that boy that guy tells another Ethiopian is a job open for the front desk.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then those three guys, you see all these people coming in out, there's a lot of taxes out here.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: So much you're going to get to get to become a taxi driver.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: So now you got a taxi driver, but then the four of us put 10% of our income together, again, high self esteem, because there's no crab in the barrel, they're comfortable.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: We put a little bit of money together, they trust each other, or they can trust each other.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we can buy a car and do Uber or a lift.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so now we got, so whenever somebody wants to go, let's call this driver.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and then the front desk guy, or lady, she became or he became the manager.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, the manager hires two more ethio.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now all the ethio bins have rented a apartment together.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: They've, they've pulled their money because they've rented that apartment, they've saved a lot of money.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: So now they go buy a house.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: And now one, two, per car turns into three, and there's a business.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: And now one car at home turns into three.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: And now you've got the hope from the front desk to the curb is all Ethiopians.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's normal.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's how immigrants operate.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's not up like American's operate.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Not even close.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: But that's the immigration.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: You get that you get that from, at generally speaking, from African to come here.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're all black.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: You get that from African Caribbean to come here.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: But you don't get that from African Americans who are here.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Even though we have a higher level of achievement.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: So because we are from here in the biggest economy in the world
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: We have enormously high confidence, but we have low self esteem.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: And we have low self esteem because it was intentional.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: They took the husband, they took the man.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, they lied to us, successfully.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Mark had a license, the two of us is marketing.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: The marketing was, to us, you guys are stupid, you're in beside those, you're not intelligent, all that kind of stuff, you're subhuman.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm a critical thinking human being, you see what my process is.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: I actually read history, so I kept it with the legal to read.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: I read history.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: So you brought my ancestors halfway around the world at great expense to you because I'm stupid.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let's make sure you had crops called tobacco and cotton, etc.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: That only grew in a human hot weather.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: But the poor whites from Europe couldn't work in that weather, and the Indians didn't know what they were talking about.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: The only people could put to bring dead, human, hot, soil, back to life for new crops.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: We're Africans.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I was so prevalent in this house.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's why the crops, though gold of the 18th and 16th and 17th century, was the southern states of America, that's where all the millionaires were, that's where all the trade was, that's where Wall Street was, that's where all the wealth came from, that's half of this country was in the 1800s of our imports, our exports were cotton from the south because
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: like cultivation, ingredient ingredients for the gold of those days, which were crops of cotton, into backo, etc.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: Also, the Caribbean, same elements, also Latin America.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: There were more slaves in Mexico than there were in North America.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Only four and a thousand slaves got to America of eight million.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: So 12 million left to come.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: 12 million left to come.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: Three, four million were fish bait.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, they didn't make it here.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: These are my ancestors.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking to me.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Since there's this effect, most of them went to the Caribbean and Latin America, 400,000.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: came to America.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: But they grew it as a crop.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: They grew black slaves as a crop in America.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: They cultivated it because it was a brutal, repressive system that was combined with machinery like the cotton gin.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: Prophecy's just went right through the roof.
- 34:46[UNKNOWN]: Oh my god.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: So if I'm relying on this crop in this crop makers, I can't have these folks who got me out
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: be rising up.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: So what I got to do is I got to break your spirit, not your body, and eat your body.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: So you're a big, early dude, you come here.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: Your twice as big is the slave master.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: Slave master, so you know what, I see him and his wife together.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: Hold down, not she's pretty, not I want to, none of that stuff.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: until he stops fighting.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: Point, break, you're spirit.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: If you can't protect your wife, I got no problem with you trying to do anything else.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're a broken man.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_01]: On top of that, he's got three children, selling in three different directions.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we want to take that personal, it is brutal, it's what it is, it's disgusting.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: But for a guy trying to give you no hope, it's pretty effective.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: So now you just get up every day, you show it as a down, you head as down, and you're just doing the work.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: You're not getting up enough to fight for anything.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you fast forward that 250 years.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: call it five generations because you lived short of lives.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe six generations, 30, 40, 50, there's a life in your debt.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's embedded.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: So now, you have African Americans who I think are separated, brilliant, amazing.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: We define cool all around the world.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: We say it's cool into something in North Korea.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's cool.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: We rocked them like we don't own it.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: We define culture, we have no share in it.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: But we made the cool all around the world.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're brilliant.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: Music came from us.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: All these things came from us.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, the first human being walked up right into world came from Africa.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: The only color that includes every other color is black.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's not my opinion, the only color in the world that includes every other color.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's black.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: That means every other group came from black.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: But the sun and where it was and we're proximity to the world for tens of thousands of years defined what color you were at, what racism is so stupid.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: You have this incredible people that can't believe they're incredible.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: So we never heal.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: Raised slavery is over.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: Linking is assassinated.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: We never heal.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: There's no end of the story.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: Confeders didn't properly prosecute it.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: They never apologized to us or had to pay a price.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: Link gets assassinated, the decapitated the government.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a second civil war.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody sort of moved on.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: So in some ways, you still have confederation and unionist to this day.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: This never healed.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: And you have open wounds, emotional, open wounds, PTSD.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: With us.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: If I have massively low self esteem, the chances I'm depressed, if I have massively low self esteem, and then I was robbed of the ability of creating agency for myself, an economic prosperity, and ownership, the chances of me having depression is very high.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think that 70% of like Americans are clinically undiagnosed depressed.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I can't prove it, but just look right.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, just look at your, first of all, let's look at negative behavior.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: You going off some of our neighborhoods and you go to, I'll pick on why people, you go to white, up-skill, middle-class neighborhood, two-parent households, all that stuff, our age, no, doesn't matter, whatever.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: Or even a black up-skill neighborhood.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: You touch on Johnny's shoulder, can I help you?
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: Go into hood.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_01]: Touch your onion and show me.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, man, can you hand on me?
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: You might swing though.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: He wakes up on nine.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the number for you.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: In our neighborhoods, we grew up in an agrobor Calvin, South Central.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: You have a check cashier.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: Next to a petty loan lender.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: Next to a rent on a store.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: Next to a title lending store, car title.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: Next to a pawn shop.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: And a church in the street trying to make a move that I want to eat.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's your psychologist.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_01]: I say the black people.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I don't want to go to a shrink.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to go to a shrink.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I might think I'm crazy.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: If you black an American don't think you crazy, you crazy.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_01]: We think that what I just described is normal.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's not normal.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: normal is a restaurant, normal is a bank, normal is, you know, normal is out of war zone.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: But when you when you're traumatized and when you're used to surviving mindset that all numbs out, you know, we we've got, I like math because it doesn't have an opinion in my book, Catherine, for all see of my book up there, so thank you.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's a best set of last six months.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: I love the data in your hands.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: I have measured every, my, I appreciate my realization, my nonprofit is measured every zip code in America by credit score, not by race, not by politics by credit score, you measure every zip code in America by credit score.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and I found that within 15 minutes of every urban inner city community.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: you have a 700 credit score community, that's 15 minutes away, and in that 500 substitute credit score neighborhood, if it's 550 credit score, 580 credit score, you live at 61 years of age.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: You don't even get to Social Security, and 15 minutes away in the 700 credit score neighborhood, you live to 81 years of age.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: 20 year difference, 15 minutes apart.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: for every 50 point increase in your credit score, you live five more years.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not about the critters score.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's a trending indicator for hope well being believed confidence joy.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: We're not human beings having a spiritual experience.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: We're spiritual beings having a human experience, energy matters.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're stressed out, if you've got too much month into your money, you're arguing with your partner all the time, you get in hot angry all the time, you're literally cooking your organs.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_01]: Cause you're set your body to 70% water.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: the student.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: So he dropped it.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: He dropped it from hypertension to diabetes.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: He dropped it from this information depression.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: All in addiction is the response to the motion you can't handle.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: So now you, I and G's have taken over your life.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: You said addiction is the response and the emotion is nothing more than a response to the motion you can't handle.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: The member I said, the cup has the whole in the bottom.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: So the cup has a whole new bottom, if the cup is sealed and I meant dinner, I'd love to have a glass of wine, sip sip sip sip, but I do full glass wine, I get drunk because I don't drink.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: But if you have a hole in the bottom of your spiritual cup, you don't drink a glass of wine, you drink ten glasses, because it never fills up.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: So, the ING is drinking, drugging, shopping, profiling, social media, uh, blinging, flexing, sexing, texting, not dealing, what you're not doing is the one ING that matter, which is healing.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I spent my whole life trying to heal.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: How dealing with my stuff?
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: Head on.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: I have two questions.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I said the part of this.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I was so natural about my the floor of my life.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't realize I'm on camera.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: I can't talk about the thing I talked about earlier because whatever is in my life here it is.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so I got to manage myself.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so transparent now.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: I believe if I talk to myself as I'm talking, okay, John, you probably can't say that part, you'd probably be more gracious.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: Is it, is there, but I do like it, because it, what you see is what you get.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: Is there an event that happened that turned a switch for you, or something you can remember, where you realized you were this way, there was a hole in your soul, and you began to repair it.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: But it wasn't a hole in my soul, it was a bullshit I saw every place else.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, I told you, I go back to my 18-year-old self, and I'd say knock it off.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: Stop trying, stop wasting so much time, trying to be like somebody, you don't want to be like, trying to impress somebody, yeah, you don't want to be like, so I realized you're an eagle, they don't get you because you're an eagle, nothing's in thing wrong with you.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: You're just an eagle surrounded by buzzards and turkeys.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then you got the crow who's actually a smart bird but petty, and the crow's behind the crow gets them around the eagle and pecks because they can't bite a fair fight.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: And just pecks, people like people get in comments on social media, and you can swing at that crow if you want to and get this stabilized, they've changed your game, or be a
- 45:40[SPEAKER_01]: just rise up to an out to the ego's fly at the croquet in a crot just falls off.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: So that's wisdom.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's, I never had a hole in my soul.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: I lacked wisdom.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have a hole in my soul.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: I lacked perspectives.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: I lacked context for recognizing the God don't make dirt and he made me intentionally.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: and that I have many problems, but self-esteem is not one of them, and so if I love myself but I'm not in love with myself, but am I talking to somebody who does not love themselves?
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm walking around people who are emotional anger needs.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't put them down gently, they'll explode and take you with them.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like no, step over mess and not in it.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not arguing with you, you have nothing to lose.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: The most dangerous person in the world is a person with no hope.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm asking this, because I remember vividly, I'm to a short story.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was in a mall, and I was with some friends, and they were successful friends, and they go on to this Louis Vuitton store, and everybody buys something.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: And, currently, I don't see anything I like.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: but I'm starting to feel like I have to get something because I don't want people to think that I can't buy something so I buy a belt but I don't even like the belt but there's one example of how me personally have I do, I can say it, I don't care what people think about me but I do, sure and I'm sure that is the beginning that acknowledgment, that last part,
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: I can say that I don't care what thing I think, but I do.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's the beginning of the authenticity that attracts all good things to you because now you're not being a fool.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: And eagles like eagles.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: How do I get to a point where I don't, I genuinely, internally do not care and I begin to develop that self-esteem.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: You keep disappearing to yourself.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, yesterday's a memory, it doesn't exist anymore.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: Start real, tomorrow's a future.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: It literally hasn't happened.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: Most people that we know have one foot in yesterday, I can't be happy because I was molested.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: I can't be happy because I was abused.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: I can't be happy because I got that voice.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: I can't be happy because something bad happened.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: I will be happy when I get married.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: I will be happy when I move to new city.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: I will be happy when I get rich.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, you'll take your miserable ass to that new thing.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: But what you aren't is present.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: You got one footing yesterday and one footing tomorrow.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: But that's why they call the president gift.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: When you're present and you give yourself the gift of being present, you create time.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: and this presence now, this is getting your question.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: When you're present and you're transparent and authentic in that presentness, you become enlightened.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_01]: You've found the light.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's all it means is you've found the light, but the light can't come through fog.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: It can't come through a polished shit.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: It can't come through your five levels of your ego.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: It can't come through 12 Louis Vuitton bags and eight jackets.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: It can't come through all of your mass perception.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: All the word personality comes in the latter root word persona which means to perform.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, your personality is a performance you're putting on for the world.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's what that work comes from.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: Credit comes from the latter root word, credit toe, which is credibility.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's nothing to do with money.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_01]: Go back to what I said about banking earlier.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you got that on tape or not, but I would repeat it.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: A bank wouldn't lend you money when you can prove you don't need it.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_01]: Capital comes from the latter root word,
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: So none of it has nothing, none of it has anything to do with money.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: And banking is the trust business, but we think it's about money and money is not about money.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: Money is a means of transacting of transferring value.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: If I say this water, can I trade this water for that pillow?
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: And you say yes, we've just transferred value.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: We've just created a monetary system that looks pretty and has nice, and we've made the money the God.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of the reasons we're broke is our self esteem, our assets are on our, you even riding the wrong horse, because you make money doing the day you build wealth in your sleep, which is a compounding of assets, and it happens quietly out of the way of the noise of life.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: Go back to your question.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, the more I can move the insecurities and the drama and the pain and the toxicity out of the way, so I can then have a real conversation with him, God Almighty.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: So he can pour into me, I now see the light and now I'm enlightened.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's what that comes from.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're enlightened and now you are not living in yesterday or tomorrow, you're not as good as your columnist, you're not as bad as your criticism, because there is no perfect.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: And the saint is a sinner they got up.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: And we're all angels with dirty faces.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because even Jesus was a little insecure, Jesus said to his father, he knew he was gonna get jammed up.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: But at some point, it was so painful.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, Lord, Father, why are you forsaken me?
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all, man?
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: Why you put me in his head?
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: He knew what was up.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's still questioning, right?
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then at the end of his transition, he said, forgive them, Lord, they know not what they do.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, it's last breath.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: Forget them, Lord.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_01]: Dad, Father, forgive them.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: They know not what they do.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's gangster.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: But it was also his transition to becoming invisible, to disappearing to himself.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's where you have all the power.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: You watch the movie, the matrix of coming to your hands.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, the movie, the matrix.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: Most people think it's an action adventure fleet.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's a story of Jesus Christ.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: He starts out with very little faith and confidence, the proper comes to him and try to tell him you're special.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: And he's questioning everything.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: There he goes in and it gets his little martial art thing going.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, wow, wow, look how fast I am.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm like, here you go.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's all impressed with this, right?
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: And then at a certain point, they're like, have faith.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_01]: This thing coming at you has no value except the value you give to it, believe it, believe that the bullet that you're now fancy, fancy, rick-a-shang, it looks really fancy, but it believe that bullet has no value whatsoever.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_01]: So he goes from fancy, really fast, think about this now, to really slow.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: And now he's looking at a side as he's pushing the bullet to side and then at some point he's so strong he just puts his hand out in front of the bullet in the bullet comes here and drops I'm not suggesting you guys do My point is yes, it's right in front of you
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's why, like I say, I'm consciously, I like living my life, consciously oblivious of most things because it just doesn't matter.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm walking through life just completely invisible present because I can't have real conversations with most people.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_01]: I can't have this conversation with what people think I'm a marching in some kind of great.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: They want their money, they want their, they want their, they want their, they want their home.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: I give them, I do with financial literacy and money on this stuff because that's the means of transfer of the people value.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's in order to, but, but, but, but if you look at my website, for Brigham Ventures, it says unleashing untapped human potential at scale.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: This is nothing about money, unleashing, untapped human potential at scale.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: And once I do that, once you find a light and you use the modern tools of freedom, all money is freedom, what can you do then?
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now your pain is promise.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now your wisdom is fuel.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you've been doing so much for so little for so long, Black America, you can do almost anything or nothing.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: Now, now the same people who were being tripled over are the one people no one can trample on, because you've been through it all, what you're going to do to me now?
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're resilient, but you've got to get to this point that you're talking about, of walking through the valley and shadow of death, dying to yourself.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_01]: becoming reasonably comfortable in your own skin.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: Admitting that you have partly for me.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_01]: You're somebody for somebody else.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: Discoveres it, by the way.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's better to be quiet and be thought of food than open one's mouth and release all down.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: And people say, dumb shit, me, all the time.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't call them on them.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just note to self.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking to this person again or doing business.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_01]: You never know, not you, but whoever says crazy stuff to me will never know what I feel about this.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: I just move on.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's not worth my time.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: All I can really control is my time.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: You can have my money.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: You can't have my time.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm ruthless about my time because you can't get it back.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: We are older when we leave here than when we came in and you can't reverse it.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_01]: So, that's why I said slow time down by being present, being lightened so that you can learn.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: Be empowered because your God's child, God gave you life and no one has your fingerprints in the world before currently or next, your fingerprints are completely unique.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: Your eyes are unique, which is why you can go to the airport and within two seconds they know who you are.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_01]: believe.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_01]: Faith is what you do when you don't have all the facts.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_01]: Believe.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody wants to get to heaven, nobody wants to die to get there.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_01]: Believe, knock it off, believe, die to yourself.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_01]: And then sit in that quiet confidence and watch how charismatic energy flows off of you.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_01]: and then everybody wants to be associated with that.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's intoxicating.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, hey man, this person over here is different.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_01]: Can I talk to you?
- 57:18[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: So now you're slowed it all down.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_01]: You change all the dynamics.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now the game comes to you.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: And because your president in this moment it creates the next moment.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: you're literally orchestrating a new life of endless possibilities.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: So why be insecure about anything?
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: Why run to anything?
- 57:40[SPEAKER_01]: God never gave anybody else something he wanted you to have.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_01]: Or someone.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta believe that.
- 57:47[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: When something happens and somebody tears our ass in front of you.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: Say thank you, Lord.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think the mission of your website has been accomplished today for me because I'm I'm I'm I'm seeing You ever you ever be in a moment where someone says something and then they could be talking to you for like four more minutes But you're still stuck in that moment.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_00]: You like I got it.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_00]: I got it to and I want to be respectful of your time and I have three out three more hours of questions
- 58:24[SPEAKER_00]: I really do, but I know you are very busy, man.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to say thank you.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: For coming, this is, I don't know what they got out of it, but I feel like I've been released from the self-confidence, I know I have it, and I'm very open, my audience knows.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: I am a people pleaser, but it's a responsibility.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: For me, what I was the,
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: the excuse I gave.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: When really, I need to realize who I am and I'm unique, and I can be confident in myself.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I did not talk to you today in a way that I've not talked to any interviewer that I can remember at least consciously in 10 years plus and I'm a different person now that I was 20, I'm a different level of wisdom and understanding than any of my was open 10 years ago.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't say what I'm saying now.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_01]: the modern version of me.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember having this kind of conversation with someone, but it's not like I'm talking for therapy.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to unburden myself to you.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_01]: You're not my pastor, my counselor, and I don't have those kind of needs.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't talk for therapy.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather not talk, naturally.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_01]: I listen teaching or less I'm in power.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a really private person living a public life.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_01]: Leave me my record from my computer at home, close the door for three weeks.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: I've got no problem.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: Put me on a yacht by myself.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_01]: With books for two weeks.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_01]: I got no problem.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_01]: I have reasonably comfortable minds.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_01]: I like my own company.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_01]: I have no problem with it.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: I open up to you because I felt you.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: You're an authentic human and you can't make that up.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_01]: You can't I didn't know who you were.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_01]: I walked it.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm always shaking hands to be like But something about you Invite it
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_01]: that.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_01]: It said, I'm not gaming you, I'm not playing games with you, I really am genuinely interested.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm nosy, I'm curious, I want to learn, I'm a good human, and I don't know what I don't know, but I want to know.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well, how that reminds me of me.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: So, so what I want the audience to understand is, and this is very important.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_01]: People meet you at
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_01]: If you hang around 9-9, bro, people, you'll be the 10th.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever you are and whatever you hang around, that's what you're going to, it's going to come to you and you're going to rise or fall to that level.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to challenge yourself always.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_01]: I want everybody around me smarter than me.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_01]: Why is it in me?
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_01]: I want to listen.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_01]: I gave you two ears in one mouth.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_01]: You listen twice as much as you talk.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_01]: But you've got so much BS on Instagram and TikTok and all
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know who they're fooling and I'm fooling me and I got a real money.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_01]: I have real wealth.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_01]: I have signed a hundred million dollar credit agreement, or at least been part of it when a hundred dollar credit agreement you wanted to the non-records obligation anyway, which means a not personal guarantee.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I've been party to a hundred million dollar credit agreement, which, which, which, what do you impress me with?
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_01]: I've done five billion dollars with the deals.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: What do you drop it up in a fancy car?
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_01]: You're showing off a ring or something.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: How quickly can we finish this meeting?
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, I don't think about what I was wearing coming to see you.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_01]: But look at what I'm wearing.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I got a Mandela bracelet on.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: I got a, this is all the religions of the world here, right?
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_01]: And that's an insurance policy.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: If anything goes left, I got 50.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is a great thank you thank you thank you man.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_00]: I want to figure out a way to pay you back for I'm telling you this is like a whole another I feel like I've unlocked another level and again I just want to say thank you again not for coming on the podcast but talking to me
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: And this wasn't an excuse you expected.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, right.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: This felt like a therapy session.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just look.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to make God laugh, tell me your plan.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_01]: So they're earlier.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great injury, young quote.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_01]: Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, we both thought we were coming here for different reasons.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was coming here to a podcast about my book, capital for all, it's a best seller, capital for socialism, for the financial literacy operation.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, helping people to do that.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then I got here and realized it was a greater calling.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_01]: which is to help you to unlock your greatness.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_01]: So that you can go lead a whole group of people and to a whole new reality, but more importantly, you can embrace yourself.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I wish I had that coming up.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: And people he asked me for God for help, and all I can say was, what do you think God is?
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, God's not in the comic book, he's not in your Instagram, so I'll leave you with this story.

- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do it.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to really make you proud.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be a giver.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to be BS anymore.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_01]: I promise you, I'm going to give more than I get.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_01]: Just please say it.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm asking you.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking for signs a couple of days later and he's running, you know, he's running out of water.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's running everything.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's just board.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_01]: And he's waiting for God to come knock a boat of lighten to something, nothing happens.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, man, you want to ride?
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I'm not sure how you got out here, and I'm not sure how you even stay in a float.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not getting on you, but getting on you, we both are going to die.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_01]: God's going to save.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_01]: Turtle goes away.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_01]: Next day.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_01]: Got a boat comes by, one man boat, one sail, the reggae boat.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_01]: Hey man, what are you right?
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, now you got here.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how you got here.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_01]: Shot comes by.
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_01]: The young man, what a ride?
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give you a little help here, it's a talking shot.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_01]: Amen.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_01]: You want to write?
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, man.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_01]: I heard these stories about shark y'all eat people.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_01]: God's going to save me.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: He dies.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_01]: He goes to heaven.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_01]: God, thanks for letting me come to heaven.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm deeply appreciative of it.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_01]: I know I shouldn't be pissed off of God, but
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little pissed off, like I really asked you for help.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_01]: God's like, I know not to be in, you know, in patient, and I shouldn't have a temper with my children.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_01]: But what in the hell are you talking about?
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, hell, which I saved you from.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_01]: I brought you here and you earned it none.

- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_01]: dumb ass.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_01]: God helps those who help themselves.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_01]: The word proverb says to be poor, it's not to not have anything to be poor, it's not to not do anything and lazy hands make a man poor.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_01]: P.H.D.

- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I pull up it was studio and it was a band outside.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_01]: and my driver, Marvin, is like, check that out, John.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_01]: He called him Mr. Brian.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's just been being formal.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_01]: Check it out.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's branded that.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's cool and I was at the wrong location the wrong times I'm going to wear my hat, but and the license plate said podcast And I'm like, oh, this dude, whoever he is he's on point in the fan is like, oh, Brandon pie.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_01]: But this guy's all in, Brandon reminded me and I know this is what you're going to be massively successful
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_01]: When I came to Atlanta from LA, I asked for a custom license plate, and the custom license plate that I applied for was entrepreneur, and I got it, and I was 18 years ago, and if I was in New York City or Los Angeles and applied for that license plate of entrepreneur, it had been gone in that state.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_01]: 50 years ago, it's my God it, and you can't get it for a, let you pay them six figures or more.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a price of license, you have to pay, you know, $500,000 to get that license plate released.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that I could get that license plate so easily, and I got, I also got silver rights, and I got a, not an ambition, but, um, I'm a third license plate, this aspirational achievement.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_01]: but the one financial, I'm sorry, with the one that I got this entrepreneur sent to me, this is the Wild Wild West, that is an uncharted territory business development and entrepreneurship, isn't, people realize how special their own city is.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so I knew I was going to be successful at that time.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_01]: I knew that moment, the minute I got that license plate, that I like to do was hustle.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't fail, you can't quit.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm saying to you, you got podcasts, license plate, brother.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_01]: And you have, so you're not just another podcast, you have it in your bones.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: You have claimed it.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_01]: And now you just have to just put your foot on the gas and don't let up.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_01]: it's over.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, man.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Drop the mic, hit the button, send the picture, appreciate it, we'll see you all next week, peace.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_01]: I hope that was, just for...
