- 0:20Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome to bless this mess on the True
- 0:22Speaker 1: Crump Podcast. I don't care, here's do say. Hey Stu, Hey,
- 0:24Speaker 1: all right, we're back this week and we're going to Virginia.
- 0:28Speaker 1: This was actually a case that was suggested by someone
- 0:33Speaker 1: Stu that messaged us. It was Laura Witch. He sent
- 0:37Speaker 1: this in for us, and it was that show Murder
- 0:44Speaker 1: Comes to Town. It was an episode that and you know,
- 0:48Speaker 1: so here lately, I've been having to just get my
- 0:50Speaker 1: research based off of shows because I used to try
- 0:54Speaker 1: to go and like read newspaper articles and things like that.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Every single newspaper article now you click pay for it.
- 1:00Speaker 1: They want you to pay for it. So I can't
- 1:02Speaker 1: pay for every small newspaper on the planet, you know,
- 1:07Speaker 1: to get more information. So I try my best, but
- 1:09Speaker 1: I have to do it's really cotton down to that,
- 1:12Speaker 1: because they just don't give you free stuff. And then
- 1:15Speaker 1: I used to be able to get when we lived
- 1:17Speaker 1: in Louisiana, I had the library provided all access to
- 1:22Speaker 1: all those old newspaper articles and you could search them
- 1:26Speaker 1: by keywords and it would find them in like they're
- 1:28Speaker 1: actually scanned. It's like what is that called?
- 1:30Speaker 2: Whenever you go to the library Microfish.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Microfish anyways, similar to that, but an online version. But
- 1:36Speaker 1: we don't have that anymore in this library. Sucks here.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I can't believe how.
- 1:41Speaker 2: That's on there.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but they only have two in the whole town.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Loafayette had like fifteen.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yes, Lafayette had a huge library system. They had a
- 1:53Speaker 1: ton of online resources. They're audiobooks that they have. They
- 1:57Speaker 1: had such a huge collection of audiobooks. This one has
- 2:00Speaker 1: barely anything. I swear to god, if it's got even
- 2:03Speaker 1: the mention of sex in it. They're like, nope, we're
- 2:05Speaker 1: not putting that one on any of the ones. Besides
- 2:08Speaker 1: the really really main ones. They don't have anything that
- 2:13Speaker 1: might be a little bit risk a Stu. It's like
- 2:16Speaker 1: just ridiculous.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Why are you trying to get.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Risk books, Stuart?
- 2:21Speaker 2: What's what's not happening at your personal life that you
- 2:24Speaker 2: need a book with that's a risk?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Well maybe you should just be happy whatever I read
- 2:28Speaker 1: in the book you get to experience in your personal life.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Okay, do I.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Stuart? Okay, shut up? All right? Anyway, So what was
- 2:37Speaker 1: the name? So? Yeah, So thank you for the suggestion,
- 2:39Speaker 1: And if anybody has a case, really there has to
- 2:42Speaker 1: be almost a show now about it, because I'm telling
- 2:44Speaker 1: you it is very difficult these days to get access
- 2:48Speaker 1: to newspaper articles.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah, unless it's a high profile one that you already
- 2:51Speaker 2: know about.
- 2:51Speaker 1: And if it's high profile, then enough free outlets have
- 2:55Speaker 1: written about it. But if it's these local newspapers, they
- 2:57Speaker 1: will not. They're not giving up the good.
- 3:00Speaker 2: There ain't nobody subscribing in their local hometown.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I know some they want you to hit. They were like,
- 3:04Speaker 1: you can have this one for ninety nine cents per
- 3:06Speaker 1: article and stuff like that, and I'm just not gonna
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'm not gonna pay because what if what I don't
- 3:10Speaker 1: even know what's in the article. If it's usable, it
- 3:13Speaker 1: could be two paragraphs about stuff I already know. You know,
- 3:16Speaker 1: you get like the little snippet, but the minutes you
- 3:18Speaker 1: click on it, it like for one second. Every once
- 3:21Speaker 1: in a while, real bad. I'll like try to screenshot
- 3:23Speaker 1: it before the stupid thing pops up because I really
- 3:27Speaker 1: only need it for maybe a couple of facts. But anyways,
- 3:30Speaker 1: here we are. Yeah, I'm probably gonna get someone mad
- 3:32Speaker 1: at me for a screenshot in those but it doesn't
- 3:34Speaker 1: really work anymore. As soon as you click on it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It's it's got the sign up to get a subscription
- 3:41Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So I would think there'd be a clearing house where
- 3:43Speaker 2: you could pay one time and get all the newspapers somewhere.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Maybe I have to look at that.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Maybe, Yeah, I don't know, because right now every single
- 3:51Speaker 1: one I've tried to get to read several articles on
- 3:54Speaker 1: this one and I couldn't get past like of course Oxygen,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you know the show. They had some more information about it,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and you could read that for free because their money's
- 4:05Speaker 1: all being made on tv TV. But all the local
- 4:08Speaker 1: newspapers unless it was like a Facebook post, it was
- 4:12Speaker 1: it was all purchase only because this is a small
- 4:14Speaker 1: town in Virginia. Okay, I think that's it. I was
- 4:21Speaker 1: just telling everybody if you ever wonder like that's what
- 4:24Speaker 1: so that So she she sent an episode and everything
- 4:28Speaker 1: to watch, and so it's much easier that way, because
- 4:31Speaker 1: it's very difficult if there's not a big network that's
- 4:35Speaker 1: done an episode. All right, But I do try to
- 4:39Speaker 1: supplement the shows.
- 4:41Speaker 2: It's just hard what some extra facts with some extra
- 4:44Speaker 2: facts the wasn'on in the show, yeah.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Because sometimes the shows don't want to talk about the
- 4:49Speaker 1: the real.
- 4:50Speaker 2: They don't even give you the real name sometimes.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta be real careful about using a The
- 4:55Speaker 1: only people I ever used the real names are are
- 4:57Speaker 1: the people that I know for sure. But like this one,
- 5:00Speaker 1: it gave some names of some people, and I went
- 5:02Speaker 1: and tried to Google and try to find I couldn't
- 5:04Speaker 1: findnything out, So I didn't use their name because I
- 5:05Speaker 1: don't think there were real people. So they were they
- 5:08Speaker 1: it was like a fake name for.
- 5:09Speaker 2: The non playing characters in their Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Well it's usually like they it's like a girlfriend or
- 5:14Speaker 1: a boyfriend or something or someone they were looking into.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Like someone said, oh, Michael's the one that we think
- 5:22Speaker 1: he's the one that did it, but he really had
- 5:24Speaker 1: nothing to do with it. So they're not going to
- 5:25Speaker 1: put his blast his name on the show. They just
- 5:29Speaker 1: changed his name to whatever. Yeah they say Michael, but
- 5:32Speaker 1: his real name could be like Richard. I don't know anyways,
- 5:39Speaker 1: all right, So so thank you for the suggestion. We
- 5:42Speaker 1: did cover it, or we're covering it right now. And
- 5:45Speaker 1: then patreon dot com we are doing Shoot the Poo
- 5:49Speaker 1: with Karen stew So we'll record that here in a
- 5:52Speaker 1: little bit. We're going to be talking about the Brian
- 5:55Speaker 1: Koburger impact statements because it's pride pride. I have some opinions.
- 6:04Speaker 2: They don't align with mine.
- 6:06Speaker 1: No, I just want to preface this by saying, so
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'll talk about it more on that one, because I
- 6:11Speaker 1: could I go on about things once I get going,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I just don't let it go.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Still has to follow around the house, yea the whole time. Anyways,
- 6:20Speaker 2: are you listening to me? You're walking away?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Anyways. I just want to say that I don't think
- 6:27Speaker 1: what drove me crazy about this is people are almost
- 6:30Speaker 1: like ranking these impact statements for these people. I don't
- 6:34Speaker 1: think we as a society should be ranking people's impact statements.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Are saying like, oh, this was the best victim's impact
- 6:40Speaker 1: statement I've ever heard. This is like so weird. The
- 6:45Speaker 1: so everybody's going on about the Gonsolves family and like
- 6:49Speaker 1: the sister because she she they had different they all
- 6:53Speaker 1: had different approaches to this. They are still the Gonsolves
- 6:56Speaker 1: family is still in a very angry place in their life,
- 6:59Speaker 1: and they just want to talk to Brian Coburger and
- 7:02Speaker 1: put him in his place and telling me he's dirty
- 7:04Speaker 1: and ugly and your breast stank and your Mama sucks basically,
- 7:09Speaker 1: but the other family members were in a different They're
- 7:11Speaker 1: in a different place. They wanted to talk about their
- 7:13Speaker 1: family member that was murdered and really draw the attention
- 7:18Speaker 1: on them. And it's two different paths, not saying one
- 7:21Speaker 1: is right or one is wrong, but everybody just keeps
- 7:24Speaker 1: going on about this. Olivia, she did the best impact
- 7:26Speaker 1: statement ever. It's like, well, but also the grandma who
- 7:28Speaker 1: did Maddie Mogen, that was she hers was great too.
- 7:31Speaker 1: She talked about Maddie and to do this now instead
- 7:33Speaker 1: of Okay, I'm gonna stop anyways. That's just I just
- 7:39Speaker 1: don't think we should be ranking. But am I going
- 7:41Speaker 1: to give my thoughts not directly about their impact statements
- 7:44Speaker 1: because whatever they did, except for one line, I will
- 7:47Speaker 1: talk about. But I just don't think we should be
- 7:50Speaker 1: making one person seem better than the other person's. It's
- 7:53Speaker 1: all whatever the person that's this happened to, you know,
- 7:57Speaker 1: family member is what they need at that time. And
- 8:00Speaker 1: I think the Internet needs to calm the fuck down.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That's my but it's not gonna stop me from giving
- 8:06Speaker 1: my two cents on the internet.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna be calm the fuck now.
- 8:13Speaker 1: But we'll talk about that. So yeah, you get the
- 8:16Speaker 1: episodes twenty four hours early and ad free, and then
- 8:19Speaker 1: we do have the Shoot the Pooh. We're gonna we're
- 8:20Speaker 1: trying to put those out on Mondays. And then Facebook
- 8:24Speaker 1: Instagram almost said Facebook dot calm, like I want you
- 8:29Speaker 1: just call it the Facebook www Dot Facebook dot call.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I do call it the Facebook, Stu. I do say
- 8:41Speaker 1: the Facebook. And then we have TikTok where I shared
- 8:44Speaker 1: documentaries and things that I like, I tried. I did
- 8:47Speaker 1: share a couple thoughts on Amy Bradley yesterday because I
- 8:50Speaker 1: just felt like stirring the pot. So I did it, Stu.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And then no, I was tired. Last week. It was
- 9:00Speaker 1: mainly on the cruise director, I feel because everyone just
- 9:03Speaker 1: like hates the cruise director because he isn't ass in
- 9:06Speaker 1: the documentary one hundred percent. Like we were not arguing
- 9:09Speaker 1: that point. He was the one that was like, I
- 9:12Speaker 1: could is he.
- 9:12Speaker 2: An ask or is he just being practical?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Well, I know, but the way he behaved in the documentary,
- 9:17Speaker 1: he wasn't very like, you know, I'm really sorry for
- 9:20Speaker 1: their loss and everything. He's like, I can't stop a
- 9:23Speaker 1: fucking well he didn't say for but like, basically, he's like,
- 9:25Speaker 1: fuck it, I can't stop a whole ship. But he
- 9:28Speaker 1: was I'm going to tell you, guys, he was right.
- 9:30Speaker 1: He wasn't asking the documentary. He was right. You cannot
- 9:33Speaker 1: stop two thousand people from getting off a ship. Because
- 9:37Speaker 1: a twenty three year old woman has been missing for
- 9:40Speaker 1: less than an hour, he's probably thinking she's shacked up
- 9:43Speaker 1: in someone's cabin, had a great time last night. And
- 9:47Speaker 1: we got these dawdling parents over here.
- 9:49Speaker 2: We got tours going, yeasion they can't. Yeah, buses are
- 9:53Speaker 2: lining up, people are trying to get on.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Because my thing is like, if it was a five
- 9:56Speaker 1: year old, yes, they probably would have stopped everything. They
- 9:59Speaker 1: would have said if they definite would have because they
- 10:01Speaker 1: wouldn't want someone to try to remove the child from
- 10:03Speaker 1: the ship or something. But a grown adult that's been
- 10:06Speaker 1: missing that long, you haven't even had time to search
- 10:08Speaker 1: the whole ship. And he's probably seen this so many
- 10:11Speaker 1: times people, especially back things, you didn't have cell phones.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I want you to TikTok.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Well you can go to the TikTok. But I'm just
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm just sharing a little bit of what I was
- 10:21Speaker 1: saying in my opinion on that but we also covered
- 10:23Speaker 1: that in one of our Shoot the poos too. I
- 10:25Speaker 1: go on about this as well.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Go on.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So anyways, if you want to know what Shoot the
- 10:30Speaker 1: Poo's rambling on about something true crime that week, I
- 10:32Speaker 1: may just because this is el Stu has to deal
- 10:36Speaker 1: with me at home off, I may just.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Have to record me going yeah, and then I won't
- 10:42Speaker 2: have to participate and shoot the poos.
- 10:45Speaker 1: All right, because I'm going to go talk. You do
- 10:50Speaker 1: get to talk, Stewart. It's just what you say is stupid, Okay.
- 10:55Speaker 1: If you don't agree with me, then it's not a
- 10:58Speaker 1: good opinion and.
- 11:00Speaker 2: You need to correct it, which is going to be
- 11:02Speaker 2: happening here on show.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yes, it's going to be happening because we do disagree
- 11:06Speaker 1: on a few things, all right. So let's go ahead
- 11:10Speaker 1: and get into this week's episode. Out of Virginia. Harvey
- 11:16Speaker 1: Dean Looney was born July thirty first, nineteen fifty six,
- 11:20Speaker 1: in Grundy, Virginia. Grundy.
- 11:23Speaker 2: That's a name, you know.
- 11:25Speaker 1: July thirty first is also Harry Potter's birthday, not in
- 11:28Speaker 1: nineteen fifty six, but that's the date he would meet
- 11:32Speaker 1: Valerie Elaine Looney Ney Phillips, who was born June twenty fifth,
- 11:36Speaker 1: nineteen sixty in Richland's Virginia. Now, they would go on
- 11:40Speaker 1: to Mary on March thirtieth, nineteen Avy Avy.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Ayvy, are you drunk?
- 11:47Speaker 1: What is that thing that Phil says? It's so, it's
- 11:50Speaker 1: everything's gravy in the avy. That's a modern family quote.
- 11:56Speaker 1: They were going to marry in nineteen eighty Harvey and Valerie.
- 12:01Speaker 1: What did I say? Oh? I lost my place. Harvey
- 12:04Speaker 1: and Valerie would about a year later welcomed a child,
- 12:07Speaker 1: They're only It would be their only child, a son
- 12:10Speaker 1: named Christopher. Now, in nineteen ninety eight, Valerie takes a
- 12:13Speaker 1: job at Pizza Plus and soon after Harvey began working
- 12:18Speaker 1: there as well. Now the couple was well known in
- 12:20Speaker 1: the community. They were liked by everyone. Now, Valerie was
- 12:26Speaker 1: known to run a tight ship at the pizza place
- 12:28Speaker 1: because she eventually moved up to being the manager.
- 12:30Speaker 2: No pizza for you.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and she was. She didn't she didn't deal with
- 12:34Speaker 1: people being late and things like that. So they said
- 12:36Speaker 1: she was a bit of a tough cookie as a manager.
- 12:40Speaker 1: But she was well liked. Everybody would come over and
- 12:42Speaker 1: visit them and just thought they were great at the
- 12:45Speaker 1: pizza place. And I believe that Harvey he went by
- 12:48Speaker 1: Dean by his friends. But since we're not friends with him,
- 12:51Speaker 1: we're gonna go with Harvey.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I don't feel, you know, like we should.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Just be that.
- 12:57Speaker 1: So Harvey, he was a He would deliver pizzas there
- 13:01Speaker 1: and things like that, and it was just kind of
- 13:03Speaker 1: like there. They didn't own the pizza place, but it was,
- 13:07Speaker 1: you know, they ran the place. You know, it was
- 13:10Speaker 1: she was the manager and they were fixtures in it
- 13:12Speaker 1: for for over a decade.
- 13:14Speaker 2: On March thirty, two thousand and nine, at eight forty
- 13:17Speaker 2: a m. In Claypool Hill, Virginia, a call comes into
- 13:21Speaker 2: nine one one from a woman by the name of Mary.
- 13:23Speaker 2: She just entered the pizza place and found the mansa
- 13:27Speaker 2: plus Stewart that pizza plus the of the thing psa
- 13:30Speaker 2: plus what pizza plus?
- 13:34Speaker 1: And Mary is her name. It wasn't just made it
- 13:36Speaker 1: because that was the recording of the nom on one call,
- 13:38Speaker 1: just in case anybody's wondering if that's also a made
- 13:44Speaker 1: up name. But it's not not that anybody cared.
- 13:46Speaker 2: But go on, and why are you interrupting this?
- 13:49Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Police arrived on the scene to find forty eight year
- 13:54Speaker 2: old Valerie Looney lying dead in the kitchen. It was
- 13:58Speaker 2: clear by the scene that there had been a violent beating.
- 14:01Speaker 2: There was blood all over the kitchen, prep table, of
- 14:04Speaker 2: the ovens is just pretty much everywhere. On top of
- 14:06Speaker 2: being severely beaten, Valerie had her throat slit to the
- 14:10Speaker 2: point where she was actually almost decapitated. Police continue to
- 14:14Speaker 2: investigate the scene and they make their way through. They
- 14:17Speaker 2: find that the back door's open. There they find another
- 14:21Speaker 2: victim line on the ground. They identified the second victim
- 14:24Speaker 2: as fifty two year old Harvey Looney. Harvey also had
- 14:28Speaker 2: his throat slit, but he did not appear to have
- 14:30Speaker 2: been beaten. While looking around the crime scene trying to
- 14:34Speaker 2: find a motive, they did find that all the money
- 14:37Speaker 2: in the cash register was missing, so initially they thought
- 14:40Speaker 2: it was a robbery ClearCase. Yay, you've been messed up
- 14:44Speaker 2: like ten times already at this point. However, when inspecting
- 14:47Speaker 2: the victims, they found that neither one of their personal
- 14:50Speaker 2: belongings had been taken. This included a large amount of
- 14:54Speaker 2: money in Harvey's wallet, which would have actually been more
- 14:57Speaker 2: than what was taken from the cash register.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, because he was a delivery driver, and this is
- 15:01Speaker 1: two thousand nine. A lot of people still hand it
- 15:03Speaker 1: over cash. When you went out there to deliver, you know,
- 15:07Speaker 1: this was still the cash. We weren't buying things on apps.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I don't think yet, m I don't like now. I
- 15:14Speaker 1: couldn't imagine ever handing It's not even an option. I
- 15:17Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe it is, but I can't even imagine
- 15:19Speaker 1: handing cash too. I mean, at this point, I don't
- 15:23Speaker 1: want to even interact with anybody. I just want you
- 15:25Speaker 1: to leave it on my doorstep and I'll check my
- 15:27Speaker 1: ring camera to see yes.
- 15:28Speaker 2: It's Whenever it jangles, I'll be like, oh, there's the person.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I felt so bad when so we got pizza after
- 15:35Speaker 1: I wrote this episode. This is kind of fucked up,
- 15:37Speaker 1: But I really wanted pizza because weird. It was just
- 15:43Speaker 1: like kept pizza, pizza plus pizza, pizza pizza, And so
- 15:46Speaker 1: I ordered Little Caesars because it's the cheapest, because, let's
- 15:49Speaker 1: face it, pizza has gotten out of control.
- 15:52Speaker 2: It is ridiculous.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It is Little Caesar's the only one that hasn't gone
- 15:55Speaker 1: up in prices. Really, I mean a little bit, but
- 15:57Speaker 1: nothing like what it is. So anyways, so ordered pizza,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and I felt bad because I sent our four year old.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I was like, oh, look, something's at the door or whatever,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and she thought it was her uncle. And then she
- 16:09Speaker 1: was almost crying because then when she opened it up
- 16:11Speaker 1: it was just pizza that happened.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Yes, I was outside, Yeah, she.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Was almost because last time when my brother came to visit,
- 16:21Speaker 1: I had her, you know, open the door and there
- 16:23Speaker 1: he's standing there and she's so excited. And so we've
- 16:26Speaker 1: done this before where I'll go, I'll like come home
- 16:28Speaker 1: and all get food, and I'll go bring it and
- 16:29Speaker 1: put it by the door and then ring the doorbell
- 16:31Speaker 1: and then they come and open. They're all excited because
- 16:33Speaker 1: there's French fries or Chick fil A or something like that.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So I was like, oh, look she's gonna have fun.
- 16:37Speaker 1: But it backfired.
- 16:38Speaker 2: It was just depressing fifteen minutes. Sadenough Yeah, like.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Oh, it's just pizza. Anyways.
- 16:44Speaker 2: So anyways, well I don't understand. I mean, I would
- 16:47Speaker 2: think that even if they found that the guy hadn't
- 16:51Speaker 2: been robbed of his personal belongings, why would they think
- 16:55Speaker 2: it wasn't a robbery Because some people would be in
- 16:57Speaker 2: a robbery in the moment killing somebody like, but normal
- 17:00Speaker 2: people they lose their train of thought while they're in
- 17:04Speaker 2: that moment.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Well I know, but they were just saying that if
- 17:07Speaker 1: all the personal belongings had been taken, it would have
- 17:10Speaker 1: been clearly a robbery. But this, if someone's going to
- 17:14Speaker 1: go to the extremes of murdering two people to take
- 17:16Speaker 1: all everything, they're going to check the pockets and everything.
- 17:19Speaker 1: There was no rush to get out or anything like that.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I think that somebody that meticulously planned this once they
- 17:26Speaker 2: got into it, that could have been like just forgot
- 17:29Speaker 2: to check the pockets and just took the cash out
- 17:31Speaker 2: of the.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Red Okay, well, they didn't know if it was a
- 17:33Speaker 1: clear robbery now or just a shitty, horribly done robberies
- 17:37Speaker 1: to Okay, that's the two levels they're at. In case
- 17:39Speaker 1: you need clarification, Okay, this is what we're doing. There
- 17:44Speaker 1: will be animosity the rest of this recording. Police found
- 17:48Speaker 1: blood drops in the sink, which a period that the
- 17:50Speaker 1: murder tried to cover up or clean up after themselves.
- 17:53Speaker 1: But then other things didn't make sense. The killer mopped
- 17:56Speaker 1: his way out of the kitchen towards the back door,
- 17:59Speaker 1: but they placed the mop back where it would have
- 18:02Speaker 1: normally sat. Next to the mop, they found a fire
- 18:05Speaker 1: extinguisher that was covered in blood. It was hanging in
- 18:08Speaker 1: the spot that it should be, but it did appear
- 18:11Speaker 1: to be the murder weapon that was used on Vallery,
- 18:13Speaker 1: So they believe she was beaten to death with a
- 18:16Speaker 1: damn fire extinguisher, which would be a horrible way to go.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It was confusing the police. Why would they hang this
- 18:23Speaker 1: back up but not clean it off or take it
- 18:25Speaker 1: with them? The way the person positioned the mop back
- 18:29Speaker 1: in its correct spot made them think that somebody that
- 18:34Speaker 1: had been the person that did this was very familiar
- 18:36Speaker 1: with the pizza shop, Yeah, and the closing duties and
- 18:39Speaker 1: things like that, because why why would you mop out
- 18:43Speaker 1: of the space. It was almost like a muscle memory
- 18:48Speaker 1: to go put the mop backward where it belonged, and
- 18:51Speaker 1: then again taking and not cleaning off the fire extinguisher
- 18:54Speaker 1: and then hanging it back up. Why wouldn't you just
- 18:55Speaker 1: leave it on the ground or take it with you?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Or it was just a weird thing. Yeah, it was
- 19:01Speaker 1: a weird thing to take time to put to hang
- 19:04Speaker 1: it back in its place when you already left this
- 19:07Speaker 1: huge scene and it just didn't make sense to please,
- 19:11Speaker 1: so please begin interviewing friends, family, and coworkers. They start
- 19:13Speaker 1: with Christopher this is the Sun. They bring him in
- 19:16Speaker 1: and let him know that his parents had been found murdered.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Christopher did live with his parents at the time, he
- 19:21Speaker 1: was going through a split with his wife. They asked
- 19:24Speaker 1: him where he was that evening. He said that he
- 19:26Speaker 1: was at their home watching TV all evening. They asked
- 19:29Speaker 1: him if he thought it was odd that they hadn't
- 19:31Speaker 1: returned home that night, because they're thinking, well, you're at
- 19:34Speaker 1: the house, where why wouldn't you worry that they weren't there.
- 19:38Speaker 1: This did happen late late at the night before, so
- 19:42Speaker 1: it was reasonable he could have gone to bed or
- 19:44Speaker 1: something like that. And he said, so it's reasonable for
- 19:48Speaker 1: him to go to bed that night, is what they
- 19:49Speaker 1: were thinking. And then get up in the morning and
- 19:51Speaker 1: it's saying, like, why didn't you notice they weren't there?
- 19:54Speaker 1: And he said that they had told him they were
- 19:56Speaker 1: going out of town because that March thirtieth, which is
- 19:59Speaker 1: the day that they were found, was their twenty nine anniversary,
- 20:04Speaker 1: and so they had planned to go to Gatlinburg for
- 20:06Speaker 1: a little getaway to celebrate. I don't think it was Gatlinburg, Tennessee,
- 20:10Speaker 1: though I think there's another Gatlinburg. Or is Virginia and
- 20:13Speaker 1: Tennessee Are they close together?
- 20:16Speaker 2: I'm not sure where Gatlinburg is in to Claypool Hill, Virginia,
- 20:21Speaker 2: so I would have to map quest that. I'd have
- 20:25Speaker 2: to map quest that.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I thought they said it was a different Gatlinburg, but
- 20:30Speaker 1: that one I definitely could have looked into. I think
- 20:33Speaker 1: I meant to go back and look and I forgot,
- 20:35Speaker 1: but I don't think it was I think Gatlinburg, Tennessee
- 20:37Speaker 1: would be too far away. So they asked Christopher if
- 20:41Speaker 1: he knew anyone that might want to harm his parents,
- 20:43Speaker 1: and he immediately named a delivery driver that worked at
- 20:46Speaker 1: the pizza place. Now this was definitely in red flag
- 20:49Speaker 1: for police because the person that he was naming was
- 20:52Speaker 1: also they person that they knew was the last to
- 20:55Speaker 1: see Valerie in Harvey Live. He was the last one
- 20:58Speaker 1: that was closing that night and would have been around them.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So they also interviewed the worker who found Valerie and
- 21:05Speaker 1: Harvey and when asking her if she knew anybody who
- 21:07Speaker 1: had went to harm harm either Valerie or Harvey. She
- 21:11Speaker 1: named a man who worked next door at the car wash. Now,
- 21:14Speaker 1: the car wash next to the pizza place had some
- 21:16Speaker 1: and yes, I am saying pizza place because at the
- 21:18Speaker 1: beginning I named it Pizza Plus, which is the name
- 21:21Speaker 1: of it, but now I'm just referencing it in general
- 21:23Speaker 1: as Pizza placet It's.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Pizza plus Kara.
- 21:29Speaker 1: So the car wash next door was known to have
- 21:31Speaker 1: some shady activities as carrshes, because I'm pretty sure my
- 21:38Speaker 1: uncle had a car wash and he was a pretty
- 21:40Speaker 1: shady motherfucker himself, you know. So they were doing nefarious
- 21:45Speaker 1: things because that's how you can launder money too, as well,
- 21:49Speaker 1: not physically launder it.
- 21:50Speaker 2: But I mean, there's a lot of things I should
- 21:52Speaker 2: have known about you and your family before we got married.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I know, when my brother came to as that, we
- 21:58Speaker 1: were telling stories about me growing up and like, are
- 22:00Speaker 1: my family in particular, and it's it's a lot, you know.
- 22:06Speaker 2: We could probably do a podcast on that, do our
- 22:10Speaker 2: Patreon on that.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be family stories anyway. So Valerie believed
- 22:16Speaker 1: there was some drug activity going on extors. There was
- 22:18Speaker 1: some animosity between that because I believe she had probably
- 22:21Speaker 1: reported Yeah, and saying that there's weird activity, you know,
- 22:26Speaker 1: going on.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Valerie made some enemies in the town.
- 22:31Speaker 1: She well, it is kind of there. There usually is
- 22:35Speaker 1: nobody that would it would be angry with them, But
- 22:38Speaker 1: she did have a couple of people that might have
- 22:39Speaker 1: been angry that people. People could name off the top
- 22:42Speaker 1: of their head and be like, yeah, she kind of
- 22:44Speaker 1: pissed this part off. Like I said, she did run
- 22:46Speaker 1: a tight ship kind of like.
- 22:47Speaker 2: So police came to me and asked me who I
- 22:50Speaker 2: thought what might have killed you? I'd be like, well,
- 22:53Speaker 2: I don't know, let me get out the list.
- 22:55Speaker 1: That's not even true. I don't interact with people enough
- 22:57Speaker 1: to anger anybody.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Well just well the podcast, somebody might come looking for you.
- 23:03Speaker 2: We just don't know.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yes, Can I just say another thing that we forgot
- 23:08Speaker 1: to mention with the Amy Bradley. Oh Jesus, her brother's
- 23:11Speaker 1: name is Brad Bradley, Like, why would you do that
- 23:13Speaker 1: to your child? Is his name Bradley though his full name,
- 23:16Speaker 1: so it's Bradley Bradley.
- 23:19Speaker 2: What's his middle name.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Brad I don't know, I'm at the look, but his
- 23:23Speaker 1: name was Brad Bradley. In the documentary, it's just why
- 23:26Speaker 1: would you, Why would you do that?
- 23:30Speaker 2: Why anybody would do that.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I just think that was the real crime that happened,
- 23:36Speaker 1: was the naming Brad.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Back on subject. Police had over to speak to the
- 23:42Speaker 2: delivery driver that last saw Valerie and Harvey alive, and
- 23:46Speaker 2: he was acting a little bit odd. He did actually
- 23:48Speaker 2: ask if any money was missing, which was strange. Whenever
- 23:52Speaker 2: there's two people murdered, that's one of your questions that
- 23:55Speaker 2: you would ask the police.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Well, I just felt like maybe the town was bored
- 23:58Speaker 1: and they had been watching a lot of true crime
- 23:59Speaker 1: because the girl that called in on the nine to
- 24:02Speaker 1: one call, she said the manager's lying in a pool
- 24:04Speaker 1: of blood, which is classic true crime documentary verbage. And
- 24:09Speaker 1: then this one he's like, what was there? Money taken?
- 24:11Speaker 2: Was there?
- 24:13Speaker 1: I just think they were true crime.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Police asked him to retrace his steps that night, and
- 24:20Speaker 2: he said that he did the regular closing duties. He
- 24:23Speaker 2: told police that Valerie would be staying late that night
- 24:26Speaker 2: because it was Sunday and that's when she does the
- 24:28Speaker 2: end of the week paperwork. He also said he mopped
- 24:31Speaker 2: himself out of the restaurant and leaned the mop outside
- 24:34Speaker 2: the back door, and that he'd left around eleven fifteen.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Pm, so that means whoever did this moved the intentionally
- 24:41Speaker 1: took the mop, moved in and put in a different place.
- 24:43Speaker 2: He said that Harvey and Valerie were there whenever he left,
- 24:47Speaker 2: and he headed to a friend's house after work, and
- 24:49Speaker 2: he provided that name. Police let him go while they
- 24:52Speaker 2: looked into his alibi. They then head over to talk
- 24:55Speaker 2: to the suspect of the car wash. When interviewing a man,
- 24:59Speaker 2: he said they had his car washed over there next
- 25:01Speaker 2: door and that he had gone to the pizza.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Place and he is part of STU was confused on this,
- 25:06Speaker 1: he is he's I don't know if he's the owner
- 25:09Speaker 1: of the car. They didn't go into details because I
- 25:12Speaker 1: don't think they used his real name because I couldn't
- 25:14Speaker 1: find any more information. But the police officers in the
- 25:16Speaker 1: episode did say that this was one of the people
- 25:19Speaker 1: they were looking into, but they used a different name
- 25:21Speaker 1: and everything, so it was very hard to get any
- 25:23Speaker 1: information about him. But the guy was either the owner
- 25:26Speaker 1: or just affiliated with the nefarious activities of.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Alleged various activities. Well, he got his car washed, went
- 25:35Speaker 2: to the pizza place, but he never went inside and
- 25:37Speaker 2: by went to the pizza place. He parked in front
- 25:40Speaker 2: of the pizza place because police pull video and he
- 25:43Speaker 2: did go park next to the pizza. Plus he sat
- 25:46Speaker 2: there for a while, but he never got out of
- 25:48Speaker 2: the car and then he drove off. Even though this
- 25:51Speaker 2: is odd behavior, police do not have any evidence that
- 25:54Speaker 2: he actually left his car and went into the pizza
- 25:57Speaker 2: shop and did anything.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Yeah, so he's he's pretty much off the hook on
- 26:02Speaker 1: that one. Now. Just one day into the investigation, please
- 26:05Speaker 1: get a call from the local jail. There was a
- 26:08Speaker 1: man named Ryan Schuler who claimed to have information about
- 26:12Speaker 1: the murders. He claims that he was told that three people.
- 26:15Speaker 1: One was named Jared, the other one went by the
- 26:17Speaker 1: name Rat, and possibly a woman that worked at a
- 26:21Speaker 1: bar named they use the name Michelle. Don't know if
- 26:24Speaker 1: that's her real name or not, but Rat and Jared
- 26:28Speaker 1: were definitely the name because there was video footage of Yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 1: So apparently this Michelle lady who worked at the bar
- 26:36Speaker 1: was telling people that there was a robbery gone wrong
- 26:38Speaker 1: and that the guys ended up killing some people. Now
- 26:42Speaker 1: this shit, like we said, Michelle's the one talking. She
- 26:45Speaker 1: said that she drove the other two individuals to a
- 26:47Speaker 1: robbery and something got out of hand, and that they
- 26:50Speaker 1: were going to rob them and that this the murder
- 26:54Speaker 1: part was completely unplanted. So they go and track down
- 26:58Speaker 1: this Michelle woman at her work and she denies any involvement.
- 27:01Speaker 1: She says she never made those statements. You don't know
- 27:03Speaker 1: what the fuck rat's talking about.
- 27:04Speaker 2: A rat, classic rat, Never trust a rat, always making
- 27:08Speaker 2: shut up yep.
- 27:09Speaker 1: So they head over to talk to the other individuals
- 27:12Speaker 1: that supposedly were involved, and one of them actually did
- 27:15Speaker 1: have an arrest worn out for them, so they were
- 27:17Speaker 1: able to pick them up as well as search their property.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Now they did find a knife on the property, but
- 27:23Speaker 1: no evidence of like a money bag. Because it's just
- 27:26Speaker 1: a day later, so they thought maybe it would still
- 27:28Speaker 1: be at the property. They took the knife in and
- 27:31Speaker 1: after a couple weeks it did come back as having
- 27:33Speaker 1: no evidence it had been used in this crime. So
- 27:37Speaker 1: this jailhouse informant appears to have been pretty much a
- 27:40Speaker 1: dead end now. During this time, they were also able
- 27:43Speaker 1: to rule out the pizza delivery guy who last saw
- 27:45Speaker 1: Valerie and Harvey. His alibi completely checked out. He was
- 27:49Speaker 1: with his friend that evening who vouched for him. You know,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I don't understand these people in these prisons that are
- 27:54Speaker 1: just do they just want out for the like just yeah,
- 27:57Speaker 1: they want to get out of there, talk to somebody.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Go go have a cup of coffee and maybe hey,
- 28:01Speaker 2: if you get me some barber. Yeah, they might get
- 28:05Speaker 2: some fast food that day or something.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah, They're like, let's just go, let's just go do this.
- 28:10Speaker 1: What do I have to lose?
- 28:10Speaker 2: Let me get a double quarter pound or cheese.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Man, I think they should get in trouble for lying.
- 28:15Speaker 2: What are you gonna do? Put them in jail, I don't.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Know, extra time. Put them in solitary.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Confinement, no, no commissary privileges. Yes, but I mean if
- 28:25Speaker 2: they get that that fast food meil, they'll be like, okay,
- 28:28Speaker 2: I'll give it.
- 28:28Speaker 1: That's fine. I could get if I was in prison
- 28:32Speaker 1: and someone bought me like a McDonald's Big Mac or
- 28:35Speaker 1: something and be like, I'll kill you whatever you want me.
- 28:37Speaker 2: To tell you.
- 28:38Speaker 1: I'll take whatever punishment comes my way afterwards. For sure.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Right now, it's Taco Bell, though, I'm like really into
- 28:45Speaker 1: taco Bell.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yes, you bought all the stuff at the Damn.
- 28:48Speaker 1: It doesn't taste the same.
- 28:50Speaker 2: No, it doesn't I love it.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Nacho's bell grande with no beans, and but at home,
- 28:56Speaker 1: I don't want to cook all the ground beats. So
- 28:58Speaker 1: I bought the bean. I bought some fried beans, and
- 29:01Speaker 1: the lady at work, she told me how to make
- 29:03Speaker 1: refried beans from because she she's a Hispanic and they
- 29:07Speaker 1: make she gets all these recipes from her family or
- 29:11Speaker 1: whatever from Mexico. And she told me how to make
- 29:14Speaker 1: refried brains, which it was super simple. She's like, you
- 29:16Speaker 1: just need like a fat and she said they adili
- 29:19Speaker 1: U's lard or whatever. And she said they're called refried beans.
- 29:21Speaker 1: She said she believes because they would make them in batches,
- 29:24Speaker 1: because like food that they make is also very similar
- 29:28Speaker 1: to like Cajun food. I feel like it was always
- 29:30Speaker 1: like Cajun food was just whatever is on hand, cheap
- 29:33Speaker 1: and for a large group of people. Well a lot
- 29:36Speaker 1: of their foods are like that too, where they it's
- 29:38Speaker 1: like whatever's on hand, whatever's local and everything. Anyway, So
- 29:42Speaker 1: the beans, they would just fry the pinto beans in
- 29:45Speaker 1: like a lard or a bacon fat or something like that.
- 29:47Speaker 1: And then she said, you just kept refrying them. That's
- 29:50Speaker 1: why they're called refried beans because heat them back up or.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Whatever, kind of like a gumba, just keep heating it
- 29:55Speaker 2: up till it's gone. Beans ryes.
- 29:57Speaker 1: But she says she thinks she if that was If
- 30:00Speaker 1: that's not true, don't come at her. Okay, she said
- 30:02Speaker 1: she thinks that's why it was called that. She's not
- 30:04Speaker 1: one hundred percent sure. And I never looked it up.
- 30:06Speaker 2: So wow.
- 30:08Speaker 1: But I made them the way I made them, the
- 30:10Speaker 1: way she told me to make them, and they were
- 30:12Speaker 1: really good. And then I went and cheaped out and
- 30:14Speaker 1: bought the freaking canned ones and see if I get
- 30:17Speaker 1: and they're disgusting. And then the cheese at the Taco
- 30:21Speaker 1: Bell cheese that they say it is does not taste
- 30:23Speaker 1: anything like the Taco Bell cheese. I got the on
- 30:27Speaker 1: the border chips and they were not the right tasting chip.
- 30:30Speaker 1: So you just can't do anything. I just need to
- 30:33Speaker 1: go to Taco Bell and get my bell ground.
- 30:35Speaker 2: So we're having Taco Bell for dinner, is what you're
- 30:37Speaker 2: telling me.
- 30:38Speaker 1: No, we're having French French dip. Yeah. I do have
- 30:42Speaker 1: a roast in the crockpot, slow cooking all day. Smells delicious.
- 30:47Speaker 1: We're having French dip. French dip sandwiches like on French
- 30:51Speaker 1: bread and with the provolone cheese. Shut upstairs laughing because
- 30:56Speaker 1: I said French dip sandwiches on French No.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I'm just laughing that you've gone on for a half
- 31:03Speaker 2: hour on this acide when we're talking.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Hungry, Okay, But my point was I would lie to
- 31:10Speaker 1: someone right now for a Nacho's Belgrunde from Taco Bell.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Can I get back into this? As the weeks go by,
- 31:19Speaker 2: police did get the back the official autopsy report. Surprisingly,
- 31:24Speaker 2: Harvey did not pass away from the injury to his throat.
- 31:28Speaker 2: He actually appeared to have a heart attack when he
- 31:30Speaker 2: was in the struggle with the attacker and the killer. Actually,
- 31:33Speaker 2: they what they pretty much believe is that he slid
- 31:36Speaker 2: his throat After the fact, Valerie was confirmed to have
- 31:39Speaker 2: been beaten with the fire extinguisher. It was her blood
- 31:42Speaker 2: found all over it in the sink. The blood ended
- 31:46Speaker 2: up being a commingling from the two and with the
- 31:51Speaker 2: killer rinsing off his hand, so Harvey in Valerie's blood
- 31:55Speaker 2: was from him washing his hands. They were unable to
- 31:59Speaker 2: find any other DNA profile at the scene, with all
- 32:03Speaker 2: of their prime suspects having solid alibis, the case quickly
- 32:07Speaker 2: ran cold.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Okay, so I looked up refried beans. Oh Jesus, so
- 32:14Speaker 1: it's refried beans comes from a mistranslation of the Spanish
- 32:17Speaker 1: name for the dish freeho refritos. The ree was taken
- 32:21Speaker 1: directly from the Spanish name, but in Spanish the re
- 32:24Speaker 1: prefix actually means very or well. So that's why they're
- 32:28Speaker 1: called refried beans.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Anyways, thank you for that. The more you know the bar,
- 32:35Speaker 2: they'll come hand in.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Martin, Well, if you run into Michelle at the bar.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Never if you run.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Into Michelle at the bar, you can try and impress
- 32:42Speaker 1: her with that, all right. In twenty twelve, one of
- 32:46Speaker 1: the investigators attended an FBI seminar where a profiler was
- 32:50Speaker 1: talking about how they were able to look at crimes
- 32:52Speaker 1: and come up with general description of who might be
- 32:55Speaker 1: the culprit. We've seen this a lot, these small town,
- 32:59Speaker 1: smaller town police, you know, they have to do those
- 33:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm guessing they have to do like
- 33:04Speaker 1: continuing education hours. I'm assuming wow.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I figure that they got any extra money in the budget.
- 33:10Speaker 2: The chief would be like, yeah, why don't you go
- 33:12Speaker 2: up there and learn some what the latest investigations.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Well, because realistically, when you look at these small towns,
- 33:19Speaker 1: I always wonder how this I always think about this
- 33:21Speaker 1: whenever they're on news, it's something like, well.
- 33:24Speaker 2: They police or something. Yeah, they don't have the resources.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Well like the Moscow you know, Idaho people, they probably
- 33:32Speaker 1: don't deal with a lot of murders and stuff, and
- 33:34Speaker 1: all of a sudden they're just thrown in the public
- 33:36Speaker 1: eye having to talk about this stuff, and they're not
- 33:38Speaker 1: really I mean, they did a great job and everything
- 33:40Speaker 1: like that, but I'm saying like this is probably a
- 33:42Speaker 1: lot like if you don't ever investigate a murder, like,
- 33:45Speaker 1: how are you supposed to get good at it?
- 33:47Speaker 3: You know.
- 33:48Speaker 1: So anyway, so he's at this at the seminar, and
- 33:53Speaker 1: so with no new evidence, they decide to send the
- 33:56Speaker 1: so he learns about this. They decided to send the
- 33:58Speaker 1: case of the FBI for them to come up with
- 34:01Speaker 1: a profile of the potential killer. They come back saying
- 34:04Speaker 1: that it was a male between the ages of twenty
- 34:05Speaker 1: and thirty with only a high school education, and the
- 34:08Speaker 1: killer would be familiar with operations of the pizza place.
- 34:12Speaker 1: They also believe that whoever did this was specifically angry
- 34:14Speaker 1: at Valerie do the brutality of injuries. I didn't really
- 34:17Speaker 1: feel like that was that much new information. I feel
- 34:21Speaker 1: like I could have said that maybe there is more
- 34:24Speaker 1: detail in the profile, but that's kind of the the you.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Know, yes, brain is wet, sign is a warm.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if he but see, Okay, here's
- 34:41Speaker 1: where they're a little I feel like they're a little
- 34:42Speaker 1: bit off. I don't think that they it was particularly
- 34:45Speaker 1: they were very upset with Valerie. They kind of lucked out,
- 34:47Speaker 1: not lucked out, that's a bad thing to say, but
- 34:50Speaker 1: in a sense of what they were trying to do.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Harvey had a heart attack or else they might have
- 34:55Speaker 1: had to beat him as well. So you can't really
- 34:58Speaker 1: say because he he really died in a different way,
- 35:01Speaker 1: you know. I mean, he was having a heart attack,
- 35:03Speaker 1: but that debilitated him to the point where they could
- 35:05Speaker 1: slit his throat. But I'm saying, is.
- 35:07Speaker 2: They have to beat him with them?
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah, they didn't have to. So I don't necessarily think
- 35:11Speaker 1: I think I could do better than the FBI, because
- 35:13Speaker 1: I don't really feel I feel like there's a there's
- 35:15Speaker 1: a caveat there because they could have been just as
- 35:17Speaker 1: angry at Harvey.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Well, they might have smashed his head in with the
- 35:21Speaker 2: fire ex thing wishure after I had a heart attack,
- 35:23Speaker 2: if they were really angry with him.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Well I guess. But well then that implies that they
- 35:27Speaker 1: weren't actually angry at Valerie. They just that was what
- 35:30Speaker 1: they grabbed and everything to use as the weapon, and
- 35:34Speaker 1: then they didn't need it on Harvey. No, okay, wait
- 35:39Speaker 1: a minute, listen to me.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Oh God, there we go.
- 35:41Speaker 1: So he's laying there having a heart attack. I guess
- 35:43Speaker 1: they didn't know if he would actually pass, So that's
- 35:45Speaker 1: why they slit his throat, because they slip both of
- 35:47Speaker 1: their throats. So Okay, this is really disturbing, So just
- 35:51Speaker 1: move on. We need stuff talking about their slitting their throats.
- 35:55Speaker 2: With the Sheriff's Department reopening the case, they go back
- 35:58Speaker 2: and speak to Christopher, who is the Sun. While he
- 36:01Speaker 2: is helpful with talking to the police, he doesn't really
- 36:04Speaker 2: go beyond yes no answers and providing any more details
- 36:10Speaker 2: that seemed to have any bearing on the case, and
- 36:15Speaker 2: he doesn't really seem interested in the police actually solving this.
- 36:19Speaker 2: They also noticed that he has some nicer belongings, including
- 36:22Speaker 2: a new truck.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Yes, and I did find out that about four months,
- 36:28Speaker 1: four months into the case or four months after it
- 36:30Speaker 1: kind of went cold, they did discover that they did
- 36:32Speaker 1: have a life insurance policy. So now they're noticing that
- 36:36Speaker 1: he's now apparently using the life insurance policy money and
- 36:39Speaker 1: buying himself a brand new truck.
- 36:41Speaker 2: What else would you do with.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Which is an absolutely dumb ass thing to do. That
- 36:45Speaker 1: is an appreciating asset and a waste of money. Go
- 36:49Speaker 1: buy something that'll get you from point A to point
- 36:51Speaker 1: B and don't be going into debt with all these
- 36:54Speaker 1: huge car payments. People. Okay, that's your financial thank you.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Dave ramsay, yes, and by Little Caesar's not the other
- 37:02Speaker 1: pizza places because it's cheap. Well, Dave would have a
- 37:05Speaker 1: I know he would not like that.
- 37:06Speaker 2: They would not like you buying the Little Caesars either, Nope,
- 37:09Speaker 2: he would not what this side behavior. Police decide to
- 37:12Speaker 2: go back and look at his initial statements and potentially
- 37:15Speaker 2: see if he might be involved in this. Christopher did
- 37:18Speaker 2: agree to do a polygraph test dummy, which he did pass,
- 37:22Speaker 2: but police say it was close on the edge, on.
- 37:25Speaker 1: The brank brink of filling. But again, why are you
- 37:28Speaker 1: saying dummies do Who cares about the polygraph called polygraph tests?
- 37:32Speaker 1: We all know that.
- 37:32Speaker 2: They're bullshit, yes, so why tack it?
- 37:36Speaker 1: Well, my brother was telling me that he had to
- 37:38Speaker 1: take a polygraph test when he was trying to get
- 37:39Speaker 1: into the police part, and he said, it's so stressful.
- 37:42Speaker 1: He said, they tell you can't move and if you
- 37:44Speaker 1: breathe too fast it could throw off the results and everything.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I'm like, I mean, the only people I've seen take
- 37:49Speaker 1: one in real life is the Real Housewives of Orange County,
- 37:53Speaker 1: or that might have been them and another Real Housewives.
- 37:56Speaker 1: There's always something stupid. Oh was it the one where
- 37:58Speaker 1: Vicky was lying about cancer? I don't remember. Anyways, they
- 38:04Speaker 1: had her, No it was Lisa. Maybe it was Lisa
- 38:06Speaker 1: vander Pump went and took a light detective test. Anyway,
- 38:08Speaker 1: that's the only thing. And of course they're all glamorous
- 38:10Speaker 1: and relaxed and stuff, because it probably wasn't really a
- 38:12Speaker 1: polygraph test, because my brother said it was very intense
- 38:16Speaker 1: feeling taking the polygraph test, you know, with how you
- 38:20Speaker 1: had to tell them telling you to stay calm and
- 38:22Speaker 1: don't breede too fast, don't move all that stuff. So
- 38:27Speaker 1: police they revisit family and friends to focus more on
- 38:30Speaker 1: of their questions on pointing towards that relationship with Christopher,
- 38:34Speaker 1: because he wasn't I don't think they ruled him out
- 38:36Speaker 1: at the beginning. He wasn't really a suspect, but they
- 38:39Speaker 1: weren't too sure about him. But they didn't really have
- 38:42Speaker 1: any evidence to go after him or anything like that.
- 38:45Speaker 1: So one of Valerie's good friends said that she saw
- 38:48Speaker 1: bruising on Valerie's arm leading up to her murder. The
- 38:51Speaker 1: friend said that she knew. She was like, I know,
- 38:53Speaker 1: Harvey didn't do that to you, and she said she
- 38:57Speaker 1: just kept confronting Valerie about it, and Valerie eventually admitted
- 39:00Speaker 1: that Christopher had made those bruises. Now this is what
- 39:03Speaker 1: was not a one time occurrence. Apparently he had attacked
- 39:05Speaker 1: his mom on multiple occasions. The friend asked if they
- 39:09Speaker 1: thought that they could get Christopher some help, and Valerie said, no,
- 39:13Speaker 1: I believe he's just too far gone, which I don't
- 39:15Speaker 1: know what that means. If someone's too far gone, they're just.
- 39:18Speaker 2: They're like, we're not going to dump any money into
- 39:20Speaker 2: the sky to get him any help. I guess the
- 39:23Speaker 2: sunk costs we're out of this, but.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Then you need to get away from him. As they
- 39:28Speaker 1: continue looking into Christopher, they find that he was struggling
- 39:31Speaker 1: with money and now they're finding out about this terrible
- 39:34Speaker 1: relationship he had with his mother. He was also familiar
- 39:37Speaker 1: with the shop, and he completely matched the FBI profile.
- 39:41Speaker 1: It also leads place back to the DNA evidence. Now,
- 39:43Speaker 1: this could be why they were unable to find a
- 39:45Speaker 1: DNA profile in the blood rinsed off in the sink.
- 39:48Speaker 1: There was no test that could difference the son's profile
- 39:51Speaker 1: with the mixture of the two parents, So that's why
- 39:54Speaker 1: they couldn't rule him out as a suspect. But they
- 39:56Speaker 1: also couldn't definitively say yes, he was the killer, because
- 39:59Speaker 1: I mean, you're your DNA is a mixture of your
- 40:01Speaker 1: two parents.
- 40:02Speaker 3: So.
- 40:04Speaker 1: If they're blood in the mom's blood, I mean, I
- 40:06Speaker 1: guess they have.
- 40:08Speaker 2: But I mean if he didn't even cut himself during
- 40:10Speaker 2: the attack though, then yeah, was there any blood in
- 40:13Speaker 2: the sink to test.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Because they didn't mention any defensive wounds, like the dad
- 40:18Speaker 1: had had a heart Harvey had a heart attack, so
- 40:21Speaker 1: that he wouldn't have had any injuries with that, and
- 40:25Speaker 1: then his h the mom, he slit her throat, but
- 40:28Speaker 1: it was after he'd beaten her with the fire exeemiasure.
- 40:31Speaker 1: So I don't know unless she was scraped like scratched him,
- 40:35Speaker 1: but they didn't mention any defensive wounds, or she would
- 40:37Speaker 1: have had some skin cells under her fingernail.
- 40:41Speaker 2: You know, I do know, Okay, I have seen true
- 40:47Speaker 2: crime stories before, yes, oh, yes, yes. In twenty thirteen,
- 40:50Speaker 2: the sheriff's department decides to hire somebody outside of the
- 40:53Speaker 2: department that was more familiar with interview and murder suspects.
- 40:58Speaker 2: They bring in an entire progator to talk to Christopher.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Christopher does agree to come in on his own accord
- 41:04Speaker 2: and talk about his actions leading up to the time
- 41:07Speaker 2: of the murder. The interrogator does, he start questioning him
- 41:12Speaker 2: about some inconsistencies with what he was saying happened. Now,
- 41:17Speaker 2: what the interrogator does is he use something called the
- 41:21Speaker 2: read technique. This is a three part process in the interrogation.
- 41:25Speaker 2: It includes fact analysis, behavior analysis, interview, and the read
- 41:30Speaker 2: nine steps of interrogation.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Yes, so this guy was an expert in this, and
- 41:36Speaker 1: there is a website called John Reid and Associates, and
- 41:39Speaker 1: apparently this is his fame technique for interviewing people that
- 41:44Speaker 1: are not that they need to admit that they.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Did something, get them painted into a corner.
- 41:49Speaker 1: And so I believe this was also part of what
- 41:51Speaker 1: the person learned at the seminar. Along with profiling, was
- 41:57Speaker 1: also these these new techniques in interrogator.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Police started or the interrogators started with him saying, you know,
- 42:05Speaker 2: wanting him to explain about his parents being headed out
- 42:09Speaker 2: heading out of town that day for their anniversary. They
- 42:12Speaker 2: tell him that they spoke to a dentist in town
- 42:15Speaker 2: who was friends with Harvey.
- 42:16Speaker 1: And I don't think it was a denist. Is probably
- 42:19Speaker 1: theist Dennis, the only dentist in town, small town, the.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Dentist who was friends with Harvey, and he told police
- 42:26Speaker 2: that they were going on a fishing trip that day,
- 42:30Speaker 2: ninth anniversary. Come on, har that's his anniversary present from
- 42:33Speaker 2: the wife. Yeah, the dentist never heard anything about Harvey
- 42:36Speaker 2: canceling on him to go out of town to Gatlinburg, all.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Right, And I did look up. Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is only
- 42:42Speaker 1: three hours and two minutes from their Claypool Hill, Virginia,
- 42:47Speaker 1: so it could have been that was probably where they
- 42:50Speaker 1: were going because for some reason, I thought they said Gatlinburg, Maryland,
- 42:53Speaker 1: but that that's not a talent. I looked that up.
- 42:56Speaker 1: So there's a Gathisburg, Maryland. But they were going to Gatlinburg,
- 43:02Speaker 1: which I heard. Gatlinburg's nice.
- 43:04Speaker 2: That's what I hear as well. Okay, Anyway, the interrogator
- 43:08Speaker 2: starts by questioning Christopher on these inconsistencies about the trip
- 43:13Speaker 2: to Gatlinburg. The denists is saying, no, we're going fishing.
- 43:16Speaker 2: They also start talking to it Christopher about possibly some
- 43:20Speaker 2: DNA evidence being left at the crime scene. So they're
- 43:23Speaker 2: trying to goad him into maybe giving out a little
- 43:27Speaker 2: bit more information or details.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Drink.
- 43:31Speaker 2: They're trying to get him into a point where he'll
- 43:34Speaker 2: admit the truth. Slowly, you can see Christopher starting to
- 43:37Speaker 2: open up, and eventually he says, in a very quiet voice,
- 43:41Speaker 2: it was an accident. He tells the investments, it's.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Clearly not an accident, you dumb ass, Jesus christ.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Yes, the fire extinguisher fell on her head twenty five times.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Getting mad at your dad and maybe getting into it
- 43:54Speaker 1: with him, and then he has a heart attack. Seems
- 43:56Speaker 1: like more of an accident than you know, beating someone.
- 44:00Speaker 2: And you pushed in. Christopher tells the investigator that he
- 44:06Speaker 2: went over to the Pizza Plus that night to talk
- 44:08Speaker 2: to his mother about money. He owed some court fees
- 44:12Speaker 2: and other associated cost and if he didn't pay him
- 44:15Speaker 2: by a certain date, he would be going to jail.
- 44:18Speaker 2: He said his mom would not give him the money,
- 44:20Speaker 2: so he became very angry. He said he pulled out
- 44:23Speaker 2: a knife that he had on him and he cut
- 44:25Speaker 2: her on the neck. His dad then began to enter
- 44:28Speaker 2: the shop from the back door. He went to attack him,
- 44:31Speaker 2: and that's when he said his dad stopped coming at him,
- 44:35Speaker 2: at which point the police believed that's when Harvey was
- 44:38Speaker 2: having his heart attack. Christopher slid his dad's throat. Then
- 44:42Speaker 2: he went back into the pizza shop to make sure
- 44:44Speaker 2: that his mom wasn't moving. That's when he said he
- 44:47Speaker 2: grabbed the fire extinguisher. Then he beat her with it
- 44:50Speaker 2: multiple times. Then he hung it back up on the wall.
- 44:54Speaker 2: He mentioned mopping the floor as he left to remove
- 44:57Speaker 2: his footprints. They asked if he would like to mention
- 45:00Speaker 2: anything else or add anything else to his confession, and
- 45:04Speaker 2: he just said that he was sorry and he began crying.
- 45:08Speaker 1: So like I said, when they were looking into Christopher.
- 45:11Speaker 1: He did receive that two. So he killed both his
- 45:13Speaker 1: parents for two hundred and forty thousand dollars, which is sad.
- 45:18Speaker 1: And in twenty fourteen he pleads no contests to his
- 45:21Speaker 1: charges and he is sentenced to two life sentences and
- 45:25Speaker 1: he's currently in prison as well.
- 45:28Speaker 2: He should be.
- 45:29Speaker 1: No, it was so disturbing. So I was writing this
- 45:31Speaker 1: while I was.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Watching, and you became hungry for pizza. Yes, that was disturbing.
- 45:36Speaker 1: That was disturbing the heart. What's to do? Okay? Anyways,
- 45:41Speaker 1: what was disturbing is so they kept showing pictures during
- 45:43Speaker 1: this of the parents in this, like the kid when
- 45:47Speaker 1: he was like a toddler and baby and stuff like that.
- 45:50Speaker 1: And I'm sitting there and I got this little grimlin baby,
- 45:52Speaker 1: you know, over here trying to, you know, take my
- 45:55Speaker 1: computer from me. And then I got the three year
- 45:58Speaker 1: old over there, melting down because he's tired. And then
- 46:02Speaker 1: we got the four year old was still out. I
- 46:05Speaker 1: was watching her play in the pool, and I was like,
- 46:09Speaker 1: which one's gonna murder me? Or it was too but
- 46:14Speaker 1: it was just like crazy looking at them with this toddler.
- 46:17Speaker 1: There's little family photos and stuff, and this thing grew
- 46:20Speaker 1: up and it didn't just like murder them. This was
- 46:23Speaker 1: very violent. This was very disturbing. Like who goes back
- 46:26Speaker 1: in and bleats beats their mom after you've already slit
- 46:28Speaker 1: her throat because you're a fraid. But he, like they said,
- 46:31Speaker 1: when he slid her throat, it was deep, like there
- 46:35Speaker 1: was no coming back from that. And he still beat
- 46:37Speaker 1: her with an extinguisher. So I guess that is true.
- 46:41Speaker 1: The FBI was right to and I was wrong.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Yes, he was angry.
- 46:45Speaker 1: He went in bed, that did that to his mom
- 46:48Speaker 1: after she would.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Have already been blat out.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Yeah, possibly, Yeah, So this is just it was very
- 46:54Speaker 1: disturbing when you're looking at your children when they're little
- 46:57Speaker 1: and then looking at him and this he was little
- 46:59Speaker 1: and he did that to his parents and he wasn't.
- 47:03Speaker 1: They didn't really go on about I'm sure, well he
- 47:05Speaker 1: had the associated costs, but you know, it's just crazy
- 47:08Speaker 1: how someone will just go to this level over money.
- 47:11Speaker 1: You hear it all the time. They snap over someone
- 47:14Speaker 1: telling him no. Just like the one guy that we
- 47:16Speaker 1: covered where he was married to the lady who killed
- 47:20Speaker 1: herself and it was the step son that came back
- 47:23Speaker 1: and killed him because he about money. He wanted his
- 47:26Speaker 1: mom's part of the thing, and it's like, that's not
- 47:28Speaker 1: how that works. Bro. Yeah, anyway, it's just crazy. So
- 47:32Speaker 1: but that is our case for this week, and stud
- 47:38Speaker 1: do you have a y'all need Jesus?
- 47:41Speaker 2: I do. It's a little bit long this week because
- 47:43Speaker 2: it's a y'all need Jesus. And then there's a follow
- 47:46Speaker 2: up to the y'all need Jesus. Oh god, Well, you
- 47:48Speaker 2: remember we did the one where the New Jersey teens
- 47:50Speaker 2: were found to be dumping a body and we didn't
- 47:53Speaker 2: have any follow up for but we didn't have any
- 47:55Speaker 2: follow up for months because we didn't know what happened.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Well, you did the follow up.
- 47:59Speaker 2: I did the follow up finally, but now I have
- 48:01Speaker 2: the actual y'all need Jesus. Plus the follow up happened
- 48:04Speaker 2: a few days later after that.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Go on.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Then video shows boy age seven being kidnapped at gunpoint
- 48:12Speaker 2: as dad runs and hides.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Oh well, that's not good.
- 48:18Speaker 2: No, not very good at all. This is coming to
- 48:21Speaker 2: us from The New York Post by Anthony Blair, published
- 48:24Speaker 2: July seventeenth, twenty twenty five.
- 48:25Speaker 1: This is almost as bad. Did you hear about those
- 48:27Speaker 1: people up in there was like ten adults and two
- 48:30Speaker 1: children and the raft or the boat or something flipped
- 48:33Speaker 1: over and all the adults swim to safety and the
- 48:36Speaker 1: two children drowned because they didn't save them. Nobody stayed
- 48:39Speaker 1: to save the children.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Really.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it happened up in Dallas area.
- 48:44Speaker 2: That's terrible.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:47Speaker 2: So anyway, well that that kind of sucks.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it does suck.
- 48:52Speaker 2: You threw me off off my game, you mess me up.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Chilling video shows a seven year old boy being kidnapped
- 48:57Speaker 2: at gunpoint as his father abandons him and runs to safety.
- 49:02Speaker 2: The footage obtained by WISN shows little Jamal White riding
- 49:06Speaker 2: his bike near his Milwaukee home. And what do we
- 49:10Speaker 2: learn from Wayne'sworld Alice Cooper and Wayne's World? Milwaukee has
- 49:15Speaker 2: actually pronounced Milwaukee and it's Algonquin for the great Land.
- 49:19Speaker 1: I think we've all heard that one before from you
- 49:21Speaker 1: stoo have we? Yes?
- 49:23Speaker 2: Well, this is when a white jeep circles back and
- 49:25Speaker 2: blocks his family's dryway. Two people jump out of the
- 49:28Speaker 2: vehicle and grab the youngster as his dad, Jamal Senior,
- 49:32Speaker 2: sprints inside the house before coming back outside to slam
- 49:37Speaker 2: the trunk of his own car and frustration. Quote. We're
- 49:41Speaker 2: quoting the dad now. Hell yeah, Iran, he wrote on
- 49:45Speaker 2: Facebook as he was ripped for failing to stop and
- 49:48Speaker 2: help his seven year old son. Iran, I'm thinking they
- 49:52Speaker 2: trying to rob me, not take my damn baby, he wrote.
- 49:55Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if they're trying to rob you, you
- 49:56Speaker 1: take the child with you. What is wrong with them?
- 49:59Speaker 2: Oh?
- 49:59Speaker 1: My god.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Jamal was snatched at seven pm Friday, but an amber
- 50:03Speaker 2: alert wasn't issued until almost five hours later. He was
- 50:07Speaker 2: eventually found nearly twenty four hours later, out of house
- 50:10Speaker 2: seven miles from where he was taken, and after his
- 50:12Speaker 2: uncle allegedly opened fire at two people during the hunt.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Y'all slow, cause his uncle opened fire at two people
- 50:20Speaker 1: during the hunt to find the boy. Yes, I like
- 50:24Speaker 1: the uncle.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Okay, Well, we don't even know if he was shooting
- 50:27Speaker 2: at the right people.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Oh we don't. I'm just trying to think the best.
- 50:32Speaker 2: We're quoting Jamal Senior again, y'all slow. We both alive
- 50:37Speaker 2: and my baby tried to get away like I taught him.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Who teaches their kid? I guess you teach your kid
- 50:43Speaker 2: to escape kidnappings?
- 50:44Speaker 1: Well, yes, we're going to teach ours to escape kidnappings.
- 50:48Speaker 1: You're loud, you make a scene, because if they take
- 50:51Speaker 1: you to a second location, the autos surviving are low.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Well, he praised his son for surviving his kidnapping. God
- 50:58Speaker 2: had us the whole time. Obviously I did right by
- 51:01Speaker 2: my brain.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Thank God, God had you, because you certainly didn't.
- 51:03Speaker 2: He did not many comments slam the dad's action. Your
- 51:07Speaker 2: son gonna beat your ass when he get older and
- 51:09Speaker 2: find out what you did. Buddy, I don't know what.
- 51:14Speaker 2: That's a little weird.
- 51:16Speaker 1: That's all weird. He might be a little upset with you,
- 51:18Speaker 1: But I don't know about that. Bro.
- 51:20Speaker 2: You ran in the house and slammed the door. A
- 51:22Speaker 2: second rote, I mean you did at least jog after
- 51:25Speaker 2: the car question mark. A third asked. Three people have
- 51:28Speaker 2: since been arrested. Well, there was also someone that commented,
- 51:30Speaker 2: they're like because this happened right after the guy jumped
- 51:34Speaker 2: four stories off the Disney ship to save his child. Like,
- 51:38Speaker 2: dude jumps off a ship to save his baby, and
- 51:40Speaker 2: you ran.
- 51:40Speaker 1: In Now I still have questions about the Disney's ship situation.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Well, three people will have since been arrested, including the
- 51:48Speaker 2: missing boys. Twenty seven year old uncle jamal Ka White,
- 51:51Speaker 2: who was allegedly opening fire at a man and his
- 51:54Speaker 2: son during the search. I guess he just thought they
- 51:57Speaker 2: might have had something to do with it. He shot
- 52:00Speaker 2: at them when they drove past in a car. The
- 52:02Speaker 2: documents say he hid a tree and an abandoned house.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Didn't hurt anybody. The uncle blamed it on him being
- 52:09Speaker 2: scared for his family. The complaint said. He faces two
- 52:12Speaker 2: charges of first degree recklessly endangering safety and dangerous weapon.
- 52:16Speaker 2: He appeared in court, bond set at twenty grand ordered
- 52:20Speaker 2: to have He was ordered to have no possession of
- 52:22Speaker 2: firearms or dangerous weapons.
- 52:25Speaker 1: I guess you can't really get in trouble for not
- 52:27Speaker 1: helping your child who's about to be kidnapped. I don't
- 52:32Speaker 1: think there's any laws. I don't know if those one
- 52:34Speaker 1: people got those one people that there's someone should be
- 52:36Speaker 1: charged if they let those two children drown in all
- 52:38Speaker 1: swims in safety, because that's a you put them in
- 52:42Speaker 1: that situation.
- 52:43Speaker 2: And then you abandon them, you neglect some kind of negligence,
- 52:47Speaker 2: I would think anyway. Two other men were arrested at
- 52:49Speaker 2: a twenty seven year old at the house where the
- 52:51Speaker 2: boy was snatched from outside and a twenty five year
- 52:54Speaker 2: old at the one He was eventually found in. Now
- 52:59Speaker 2: As I Told.
- 53:00Speaker 1: You, Kara is a follow up on this one.
- 53:04Speaker 2: Yes, new details revealed after three arrested for armed kidnapping
- 53:09Speaker 2: of seven year old Milwaukee boy. This is coming in
- 53:13Speaker 2: front to us from the CNN Wire ABC by Adam Rife.
- 53:17Speaker 2: Wisconsin man is facing kidnapping charges after police say he
- 53:20Speaker 2: snatched a seven year old boy from outside his father's house.
- 53:23Speaker 2: The ordeal was caught on camera. The original plan was
- 53:26Speaker 2: to rob Jamal White's mother, according to suspect Corey Williams.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Williams was being arrested in charge for three felonies for
- 53:34Speaker 2: being the driver. A fourteen year old boy and a
- 53:37Speaker 2: thirty eight year old man were also arrested. Fourteen years old.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Williams claims Jamal's mother was a known drug dealer who
- 53:45Speaker 2: flaunted her money. Williams drove his girlfriend's jeep and the
- 53:49Speaker 2: other two suspects brought guns, but when they did not
- 53:53Speaker 2: see Jamal's mother, they went to Jamal's father's house to
- 53:56Speaker 2: rob him instead. So Jamal Signior was right, they were
- 53:59Speaker 2: trying to rob him.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Oh, he was right.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Yes, surveillance show video shows the fourteen year old and
- 54:05Speaker 2: the thirty eight year old jump out of their car
- 54:07Speaker 2: with guns drawn. When Jamal's father ran inside and left
- 54:12Speaker 2: his son out there, they grabbed the boy and this
- 54:15Speaker 2: is on video from a neighbor's neighbor's cameras. The kidnappers
- 54:22Speaker 2: sped off to William's house. The thirty eight year old
- 54:25Speaker 2: called Jamal's mother and demanded one hundred thousand and jewelry
- 54:28Speaker 2: in exchange for the boy. They were to meet at
- 54:31Speaker 2: a nearby park. This is where it gets side car.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Jamal Junior later told police he heard his mother say
- 54:38Speaker 2: she would come pick him up, but he teared up
- 54:41Speaker 2: in the interview when he said that she never showed up.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Oh God right. Williams told investigators the other two kidnappers
- 54:50Speaker 2: talked about hurting Jamal to show that they were serious,
- 54:53Speaker 2: but that never happened. Amber alert went out around midnight.
- 54:58Speaker 2: When the ambler alert out around midnight, the other two
- 55:02Speaker 2: left William's house because they didn't want to be a
- 55:03Speaker 2: part of this anymore. Jamal was safely recovered in an
- 55:07Speaker 2: upstairs unit, and Williams was found and arrested. The fourteen
- 55:11Speaker 2: year old was later arrested at his house and a
- 55:13Speaker 2: black handgun was found under a couch cushion in the basement.
- 55:18Speaker 1: So I guess they thought that since there was drug
- 55:20Speaker 1: money involved, I guess they thought that they wouldn't involve
- 55:23Speaker 1: the police. But they did. And then they're like, oh shit,
- 55:25Speaker 1: things just got real. They're doing an Amberlert. We weren't
- 55:28Speaker 1: actually going to hurt this kid or anything. We were
- 55:29Speaker 1: just going to try to do see if we get
- 55:31Speaker 1: some money out of someone. And now all of a sudden,
- 55:33Speaker 1: the police are involved. They're like, never mind, I don't
- 55:34Speaker 1: want to be part of this.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Nope, this is stupid. We got to get out of here. Well.
- 55:37Speaker 1: I feel sorry for the little boy. I hope he
- 55:39Speaker 1: should just not be easy.
- 55:40Speaker 2: He's got two shitty parents.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Yeah, they need to find him a new new family
- 55:44Speaker 1: and a new family, all right, ste Well that was depressing.
- 55:49Speaker 2: So well that's that's what y'all need. Jesus is about.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Somebody needs some Jesus over there and Milwaukee.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Yes, the you know, you save your kid from kidnapping
- 56:00Speaker 1: and drownings, those are two really important things you should
- 56:04Speaker 1: be doing.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Save them from danger in general. Yes, yes, all.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Right, Well that is our case for the week. Check out.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Oh I was gonna say, I'm excited because you know
- 56:12Speaker 1: the other podcast in Louisiana, Let the Good Crimes roll.
- 56:15Speaker 1: They're supposed to be coming back. They're kind of like us.
- 56:18Speaker 1: You know, we took a little time off. They took
- 56:20Speaker 1: a lot time off.
- 56:20Speaker 2: They got better sound quality.
- 56:23Speaker 1: They do. We're still in this.
- 56:24Speaker 2: They probably run a little tighter ship than we do.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Yeah, they were in this closet still. Yeah, we got
- 56:31Speaker 1: to do something people, because here we are seven years later.
- 56:35Speaker 2: I think we just need a bigger house with rooms specifically.
- 56:39Speaker 1: X two extra bedrooms.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Those have windows, and they're on the street.
- 56:43Speaker 1: You can I know, every Timsone's like, oh yeah, you
- 56:45Speaker 1: can hear. Yeah, we could hear the course, which is
- 56:47Speaker 1: also why our children aren't in those rooms because I'm
- 56:50Speaker 1: not putting them street side a front facing window. I
- 56:55Speaker 1: just can't do it. So they're all they're just gonna
- 56:57Speaker 1: have to hold pile into one roomy. Yeah. So anyways,
- 57:02Speaker 1: they're coming back, supposed to be this week, I think,
- 57:04Speaker 1: and then Patreon check it out. We're gonna do a
- 57:07Speaker 1: little shoot the poo here record that here today and
- 57:10Speaker 1: then Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and I guess we will see
- 57:16Speaker 1: you next time. By everyone, say bye Steve.
