- 0:08Speaker 2: I know.
- 0:11Speaker 1: And now handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:16Speaker 1: not Bill Handle. That's absolutely correct. I am not Bill Handle.
- 0:24Speaker 3: KFI AM six forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Good Tuesday morning to you. Neil Savadra in the morning
- 0:31Speaker 3: crew here slightly modified. We got Heather Brooker in for
- 0:34Speaker 3: Amy K King.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Hello, coome out, good.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Morning, and we have of course Matthew in for Ann
- 0:43Speaker 3: who's taking the week off as well. Kno is here,
- 0:47Speaker 3: Will is here, and I'm here. So happy to be
- 0:51Speaker 3: here this week. To those of you who reached out
- 0:54Speaker 3: and were like, hey, thanks for being on live, We're
- 0:56Speaker 3: happy to do it. We got a good crew here.
- 1:00Speaker 3: News still, we're going to keep things sort of light.
- 1:03Speaker 3: There's a lot of kind of looking back at the
- 1:08Speaker 3: past year. We did that yesterday and it was fun.
- 1:10Speaker 3: It was kind of a casual look back at everything.
- 1:13Speaker 3: We've got a bunch of great stories today going on,
- 1:17Speaker 3: as you know, laws in the new year and things
- 1:20Speaker 3: like that as well.
- 1:21Speaker 4: So stick around. How are you doing with the hours there,
- 1:27Speaker 4: Heather Brooker.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I'm doing okay so far. Yeah, I went to bed
- 1:31Speaker 2: a little earlier last night, which was helpful.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Like four in the afternoon, Yeah, pretty much.
- 1:37Speaker 2: What's so frustrating, though, is when you wake up like
- 1:40Speaker 2: thirty minutes forty five minutes before your alarm goes off,
- 1:43Speaker 2: because then it's like not enough time to go back
- 1:45Speaker 2: to sleep, but you don't really want to get up yet.
- 1:49Speaker 2: So that's what's annoying to me.
- 1:50Speaker 4: You can't use that time for anything.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Oh you know what, I have to finish my dissertation right,
- 1:55Speaker 3: and I'll I'll pup a couple of thoughts out on
- 2:00Speaker 3: and then we'll be good.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So when I come in it's like three. If I
- 2:04Speaker 2: wake up at one thirty or two, I'm just like
- 2:06Speaker 2: punch in the air, like dang it.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's frustrating.
- 2:10Speaker 2: It's frustrating.
- 2:11Speaker 4: I would totally have hit this snooze button like ten times.
- 2:13Speaker 2: You oh heck, yeah, that explains what you come rushing
- 2:17Speaker 2: in here sometimes like crush on the phone to the chair.
- 2:23Speaker 3: And then this morning, if anybody is interested here in
- 2:27Speaker 3: the studio, coffee maker's out. No, yeah, the one in
- 2:31Speaker 3: the I mean there, I think there's another one near
- 2:33Speaker 3: the mail room.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Where's the mail room it's the one with balls.
- 2:38Speaker 5: What.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Oh, Will and I both had a ding dong moment
- 2:43Speaker 2: at the same time. We both went what And then
- 2:45Speaker 2: I was like, oh, old joke, mail Genitalia joke.
- 2:48Speaker 4: It's an old joke. Mail room.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's I've ever seen the mailroom.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you just kind of well, it's hard to explain.
- 2:58Speaker 4: It's on this floor.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Yes, do a horseshoe kind of Oh, okay, horseshoe around
- 3:04Speaker 3: to where other people are. Yeah, And then like, if
- 3:08Speaker 3: you're going to go to the hoity toity management bathrooms
- 3:11Speaker 3: in the hall, Yes, down there, it's on the way
- 3:14Speaker 3: out there. You know we're oop and bath the mail
- 3:18Speaker 3: it's them, right, that's where everybody goes, right. I kind
- 3:23Speaker 3: of go to the closest one. I'm very much about
- 3:25Speaker 3: executing it.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Horrified. He's like, wait, do you know about my poop
- 3:30Speaker 2: and bathroom?
- 3:31Speaker 4: Oh? I know everybody's schedule, man, you got it? How
- 3:35Speaker 4: you learn? Well?
- 3:36Speaker 2: I brought my own coffee. I always bring my own coffee.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I have these little frozen pods that I that I use,
- 3:41Speaker 2: so I bring them in and then yes, it is,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I'm going to show you. I'll bring you. I'll bring
- 3:46Speaker 2: one over. I usually bring two with me. They're frozen
- 3:49Speaker 2: concentrated coffee pods and I saw them out. Run a
- 3:53Speaker 2: little warm water over them, pour them on my cup,
- 3:55Speaker 2: just a little hot water. It is perfection. It's so good.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I've actually never heard that.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I'm excited to share with you. It's a company called
- 4:02Speaker 2: Comment Teer hashtag sponsor US. It's a company called common
- 4:07Speaker 2: Teer Coffee, and I get it delivered to my house
- 4:09Speaker 2: because I'm very boogie like that. But it is a
- 4:11Speaker 2: lifesaver because I just grab a couple of pods in
- 4:14Speaker 2: the morning, throw it in my bag, get here, warm
- 4:17Speaker 2: it up, and it's delicious coffee curious. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 4:20Speaker 2: show it. I'll come over in the break and I'll
- 4:21Speaker 2: show it to you.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I'm I am an espresso guy. I love the espresso machines.
- 4:27Speaker 3: I think they're fabulous. And I'm a cafe le Jave guy.
- 4:32Speaker 3: They Don Francisco's Family of Coffees and it's just great.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It's rich and delicious and I love it.
- 4:41Speaker 2: We love that's another one. Sponsor US. Don francisco Coffee's local.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Company partners before. They're great. Yeah, they're so great.
- 4:48Speaker 3: No, the whole team there the family, everybody is great,
- 4:52Speaker 3: and that we are so My wife and I are
- 4:56Speaker 3: so intensely in love with this coffee.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It's the flavor, it's espresso flavor.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Or what it's espresso, but it is. It's just rich
- 5:05Speaker 4: and lovely.
- 5:06Speaker 3: It just is a great And every time we have
- 5:10Speaker 3: like you know, contractors over or anything like that, anybody doing,
- 5:14Speaker 3: we offer you know, beverages of course, and when we
- 5:18Speaker 3: offer that espresso, every single one of them always go, Wow,
- 5:22Speaker 3: this is great.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Their coffee is a life.
- 5:25Speaker 3: But that's one of maybe two things that I have
- 5:29Speaker 3: on repetitive purchase.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Yeah, on Amaly too, That's how I feel about comment here.
- 5:33Speaker 2: And also Don Francisco. We have a lot of Don
- 5:36Speaker 2: Francisco as well. My husband and I used to do
- 5:38Speaker 2: this sort of weekly fun segment just for social media
- 5:42Speaker 2: called Brooker Brew where we would go around to local
- 5:45Speaker 2: coffee shops and try out their coffees and kind of
- 5:48Speaker 2: rate them and review them just for fun, you know,
- 5:50Speaker 2: creating content on social media, Like we're really avid coffee drinkers.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So we did that for a while and we actually
- 5:56Speaker 2: got to go to the Don Francisco facility here in
- 5:59Speaker 2: LA and tour behind and like do it behind the
- 6:02Speaker 2: scenes and do a coffee tasting.
- 6:04Speaker 3: With the family owned great everything. Just good people have
- 6:07Speaker 3: been on the port many many times. I love that,
- 6:09Speaker 3: and good folks love dealing with them. Yea conor coffee drinker,
- 6:13Speaker 3: bro No, thank you? What what do you drink? As
- 6:18Speaker 3: I'm pretending like I don't know?
- 6:19Speaker 5: Oh yeah, because you purchased these for me because I'm broke.
- 6:23Speaker 3: No, people think that I'm a jerk to you. But
- 6:26Speaker 3: every Celia, what is that?
- 6:28Speaker 4: Like Celsius?
- 6:30Speaker 3: And I know what he drinks, and I get it
- 6:32Speaker 3: for him and to him with a smile.
- 6:35Speaker 5: For the non carbonated green tea version, Oh it's pretty good.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Oh do they not have that here? We have to
- 6:43Speaker 4: pay for it.
- 6:45Speaker 5: No, but in the convenience we have a convenience store
- 6:47Speaker 5: of mini But I pay for this one.
- 6:49Speaker 4: If you want one without carbonation, I'd rather get you that.
- 6:52Speaker 5: No, No, this one doesn't have carbonation. Oh is that
- 6:55Speaker 5: what it is? I like that's the right drink, right,
- 6:57Speaker 5: I like this one. Yes, thank you for your sing it.
- 7:00Speaker 5: You're on my list of people that I remember things for.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 7:04Speaker 2: So is it like flavored flat water?
- 7:07Speaker 4: Yes?
- 7:08Speaker 5: But I do not like flavored water. So it's more
- 7:11Speaker 5: like green tea if you like green teak, which I
- 7:13Speaker 5: also don't like.
- 7:14Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Celsius did it right? Sponsor us? There you go, There
- 7:19Speaker 5: you go.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I like to remember things of people I care about,
- 7:24Speaker 3: like Will for instance, he loves a dark black camerail
- 7:29Speaker 3: with a little bit of honey.
- 7:30Speaker 4: And no wrong person. Hmmm, No, that's awkward. I love
- 7:38Speaker 4: me some coffee.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I kind of mixed blends that I brew at home,
- 7:42Speaker 3: like Don Francisco mixed with a little PiZZ for the
- 7:45Speaker 3: dark side. Oh wow, join me on the dark side.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Why thank you. I like to do Jimmy in the Morning,
- 7:58Speaker 4: James Earl.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Jones Connor, I are like you like to do what
- 8:02Speaker 2: little Jimmy Earl Jones Jimmy in the morning. Oh yeah,
- 8:06Speaker 2: that sounds like a new new radio shown.
- 8:10Speaker 3: All right, Uh let's do some news, shall we lead?
- 8:13Speaker 4: Story? Trump? I gotta tell you Trump does give good warnings.
- 8:21Speaker 3: They're just enough to let you know that they're a threat,
- 8:25Speaker 3: but vague enough to go what's he gonna do? Like,
- 8:29Speaker 3: I don't know what's gonna happen, but something, and it's.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Gonna be huge. It's gonna be huge.
- 8:34Speaker 3: It's gonna happen to you, and it's gonna be from
- 8:37Speaker 3: me to you like a love letter, but something possibly
- 8:40Speaker 3: that would explode.
- 8:41Speaker 4: It's gonna be bad.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Uh So he basically said, you know this warning too.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Iran and Hamas after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
- 8:52Speaker 3: hoo Beabi he they met yesterday and uh. Trump threatened
- 8:57Speaker 3: Iran with unspecified consequences that they may be behaving badly.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I love when he does that.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 9:04Speaker 3: It looks like maybe they're If they're being bad, I
- 9:07Speaker 3: don't know. But if they are, I don't know, something
- 9:10Speaker 3: bad's gonna happen to them, something big, probably gonna.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Be really huge.
- 9:15Speaker 3: But he says that that there may be consequences, and
- 9:21Speaker 3: then of course you get then you get Iran coming
- 9:26Speaker 3: out saying, well, any aggressive action would be harsh and regrettable.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I don't know who all right.
- 9:35Speaker 2: An LA Superior Court judge has agreed to bar the
- 9:39Speaker 2: release of Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner's autopsy reports at
- 9:42Speaker 2: the request of the LAPD. That is, while the investigation
- 9:46Speaker 2: is ongoing. And this is not unusual. They have done
- 9:51Speaker 2: this many times with high profile cases. They say in
- 9:54Speaker 2: order to pardon me, protect the investigation and keep the
- 10:00Speaker 2: you know, information and the notes strictly for the investigation.
- 10:04Speaker 2: They're not doing it to undermine any transparency. They just
- 10:07Speaker 2: want to protect the investigation.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it's going on.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's super fresh, yes, and it's so high profile. Everybody's
- 10:13Speaker 2: going to be watching this case.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Did you see when this horrible event went down? Did
- 10:18Speaker 3: you see the New York Post headline, no fall in
- 10:23Speaker 3: the family.
- 10:24Speaker 1: What was it?
- 10:25Speaker 4: Fall in the family.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Oh?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Oh, that's bad.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Yeah, little rough, that's bad. That's tacky, a little rough,
- 10:36Speaker 4: all right.
- 10:36Speaker 3: So Russia, Yeah, this is why we can't have nice things.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Russia yesterday promised to retaliate against Ukraine. Why it's said
- 10:47Speaker 3: that nearly one hundred drones had targeted one of President
- 10:51Speaker 3: Vladimir Putin's residence is so it's going to throw a
- 10:55Speaker 3: wrench into things, right, anytime you get close to something,
- 11:01Speaker 3: you've got this almost four year war going on, then
- 11:04Speaker 3: something happens. So Ukrainian President voladimayer Zelenski has called the
- 11:11Speaker 3: claims a lie and saying that it's just there to
- 11:15Speaker 3: jeopardize negotiations. And if you remember, if you go back
- 11:20Speaker 3: to before October seventh when it came to relations with
- 11:26Speaker 3: Israel and Hamas, Saudi Arabia was making progress with agreements
- 11:37Speaker 3: and with Israel. So it seems that there is any
- 11:44Speaker 3: time we get close to making peace in certain areas
- 11:48Speaker 3: for certain Actually it's with Russia and with Israel and
- 11:55Speaker 3: Palestine that when you get into these areas, something is
- 11:59Speaker 3: thrown into the mix always, and I don't know how
- 12:05Speaker 3: you deal with that. I don't know if it's true.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I don't know if they did send drones. That's going
- 12:10Speaker 3: to have to be investigated. But that's why it's like
- 12:13Speaker 3: you get close and then it gets ripped out from
- 12:17Speaker 3: underneath you.
- 12:18Speaker 2: All right, So, as we told you guys yesterday, there
- 12:21Speaker 2: was that wind advisory in effect, a lot of pretty
- 12:25Speaker 2: intense winds whipping through our area. Well, it did quite
- 12:28Speaker 2: a bit of damage in a wide range across SoCal.
- 12:33Speaker 2: The Santa Ana wins caused the CHPA had to shut
- 12:39Speaker 2: down part of the one to eighteen when a tree
- 12:42Speaker 2: fell onto some power lines in Orange County, a palm
- 12:45Speaker 2: tree fell on top of a car with two women inside.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I reported this earlier. One of the women was hurt.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And then in Buena Park, a canopy was lifted out
- 12:54Speaker 2: of someone's backyard and got caught in power lines. Porter Ranch.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Winds knocked over trash bins. In Stilmar, there was a
- 13:02Speaker 2: tree that you know, fell into a home, So you
- 13:05Speaker 2: know the wind is serious. And people who are familiar
- 13:08Speaker 2: with the Santa Ana's and who live here know that
- 13:10Speaker 2: it's no joke. When you're given wind warnings. They do
- 13:13Speaker 2: advise people to if you can secure things around your
- 13:16Speaker 2: house and around your home, but there's just some things
- 13:19Speaker 2: that you are out of your control, so you just
- 13:22Speaker 2: do what you can to protect yourself from the wind.
- 13:24Speaker 3: We're so spread out though in the Southland that anytime
- 13:28Speaker 3: you say stuff like this, somebody will inevitably say.
- 13:33Speaker 4: I didn't see to hear they win. Oh well, then
- 13:37Speaker 4: you're good.
- 13:38Speaker 2: There's always somebody too that's like, it's not rain and
- 13:41Speaker 2: where I'm at, like, okay, you're not the only one here, Robert.
- 13:46Speaker 3: We don't pick we don't personalize individual weather.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I don't know who Robers. I just made that name.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yeah, Trevor anyway, I don't know, just fun names to say.
- 13:56Speaker 4: We love it all right.
- 13:58Speaker 3: What in the Gulf of America, You've got musicians canceling
- 14:03Speaker 3: their upcoming concerts there at the Kennedy Center after the
- 14:07Speaker 3: board voted to rename the performing arts venue to include
- 14:13Speaker 3: President Donald Trump's name. Wow, you know, it's like a nickname.
- 14:20Speaker 3: You can't give yourself a nickname. Someone else does it happens.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Wait, what was that Steinfeld episode where George tried to
- 14:26Speaker 2: give himself the nickname because he didn't like the one
- 14:28Speaker 2: they gave him. Do you remember that? Vaguely there was
- 14:32Speaker 2: like they were somebody's gonna drive me. I'm gonna look
- 14:35Speaker 2: it up.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Okay, go ahead, but you can't, right, you can't. You
- 14:38Speaker 3: just it's the way it works. And you can't put
- 14:41Speaker 3: your name on a building that's a historical building or
- 14:45Speaker 3: something like that. You wait till someone else does it.
- 14:48Speaker 3: You know, someone else goes, hey, let's do this. But
- 14:51Speaker 3: you have the Cookers, which I've never heard of. They're
- 14:53Speaker 3: a jazz band. They were before scheduled to perform Wednesday night.
- 14:58Speaker 3: They didn't cite a p a specific reason, but if
- 15:01Speaker 3: you read what they're saying, yeah, it leans towards uh,
- 15:06Speaker 3: it leans towards politics. And then Christy Lee, who was
- 15:09Speaker 3: scheduled to perform January fourteenth, announced cancelation on Instagram. Losing
- 15:14Speaker 3: my integrity would cost me more than any paycheck.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Um, all right, I.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Mean it was Coco, George on Seinfeld. His coworkers nicknamed
- 15:26Speaker 2: him Coco, but he was trying to get them to
- 15:28Speaker 2: nickname him t bone.
- 15:30Speaker 4: What was Coco like the.
- 15:32Speaker 2: You're like a little monkey, You're like a monkey, And
- 15:35Speaker 2: he's like, no, I'm not, No, I'm not.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Wow.
- 15:38Speaker 2: So they nicknamed him Coco, but he was like, no,
- 15:41Speaker 2: I'm more of a t bone. They're like, you're not
- 15:43Speaker 2: a T bone.
- 15:44Speaker 4: I call my wife t bone.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Do you really?
- 15:47Speaker 3: Her name is Tracy, but I call her t bone.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Come on, t bone. Yeah, So let's hit one more,
- 15:56Speaker 4: all right.
- 15:57Speaker 2: CIA announced today that they conducted a drone strike on
- 16:01Speaker 2: a poor facility in Venezuela last week, and apparently it
- 16:06Speaker 2: was targeted at a dock there where US officials believe
- 16:10Speaker 2: the Trend de Ragua Venezuelan gang was storing narcotics and
- 16:14Speaker 2: potentially preparing to move drugs onto the boat. They say
- 16:18Speaker 2: no one was on the dock at the time and
- 16:20Speaker 2: no one was killed. This is the first strike that
- 16:24Speaker 2: we know about in uh inside Venezuela.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Finally putting the war in war on drugs. Sorry, I
- 16:35Speaker 3: have no problem, no problem with this.
- 16:40Speaker 4: I know everybody's like, oh, but those poor drug movers,
- 16:47Speaker 4: what I they can it do?
- 16:49Speaker 3: Like it's Titanic's Jack and Rose on this big floating
- 16:53Speaker 3: piece out there.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Oh oh, my.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Friend, I'm sorry. I just don't have it.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Like. You gotta do something. You can't just say war
- 17:07Speaker 3: on drugs. You got to actually have a war on drugs.
- 17:09Speaker 3: And war is ugly and you bomb things and blow
- 17:12Speaker 3: things up and break them.
- 17:14Speaker 2: There you go.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Sorry, drug people, we don't want you drugs anymore. Keep
- 17:18Speaker 4: your drugs, Keep you drugs.
- 17:20Speaker 3: All right, So back to Handle on the News with
- 17:23Speaker 3: Heather Brooker and me, your host Neil Savedra. All right,
- 17:27Speaker 3: Singer David spelled with a four for some stupid ass reason.
- 17:31Speaker 4: He's hip. It's hip, is it?
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:33Speaker 3: Okay, that's what the kids. That's how the kids will
- 17:35Speaker 3: remember it. You can call me Neil with a three,
- 17:40Speaker 3: but the three is silent. Uh So, Singer David is likely.
- 17:45Speaker 3: This comes out of TMZ likely to face murder charges
- 17:49Speaker 3: in the death of that fourteen year old girl, so
- 17:51Speaker 3: Les Revas Hernandez.
- 17:53Speaker 4: What a horrible story, you know.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Originally the manager came out saying that he was cooperating.
- 17:59Speaker 4: We found out later that he was. He wasn't given anything.
- 18:03Speaker 3: And the record label executive Robert Morgan Roth, who seems
- 18:09Speaker 3: like a piece of work to me, reportedly testified for
- 18:12Speaker 3: several days and he was overheard describing the prosecutor as
- 18:17Speaker 3: very pushy. Yeah, they're like that when they're trying to
- 18:19Speaker 3: find out who murdered a fourteen year old. By the way,
- 18:25Speaker 3: he was very pushy regarding why he didn't alert the police,
- 18:29Speaker 3: alert the police to the body in the back of
- 18:32Speaker 3: the trunk there, to which he allegedly allegedly responded that
- 18:36Speaker 3: his priority was keeping the tour moving. That's a face
- 18:43Speaker 3: you want to punch right there. So LAPD has obtained
- 18:48Speaker 3: a court order to keep the medical examiner's full autopsy
- 18:52Speaker 3: finding sealed. You know, they're trying to keep integrity for
- 18:55Speaker 3: the investigation. But I hope they nailed the guy if
- 18:58Speaker 3: if they've got the evidence, it's because what a horrible story.
- 19:06Speaker 2: British heavyweight and Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua was a
- 19:12Speaker 2: boxer and he was killed in a crash Monday morning
- 19:17Speaker 2: in Nigeria.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Oh, he was not killed.
- 19:19Speaker 2: He was not killed.
- 19:19Speaker 4: No, it killed too.
- 19:21Speaker 2: He was in a speeding Lexus excuse me, and survived
- 19:24Speaker 2: the crash, thank you. See this is why we need
- 19:28Speaker 2: checks and bounces in the news. He was in the car,
- 19:32Speaker 2: survived the crash. Two other people were killed. It happened,
- 19:38Speaker 2: like I said in Nigeria. And the Lexus was evolved
- 19:42Speaker 2: in the crash. And the investigators said that the Lexus
- 19:47Speaker 2: was believed to be traveling blond beyond the legally prescribed
- 19:51Speaker 2: speed limit when it lost control. So they're still investigating
- 19:56Speaker 2: the rest of the circumstances around the crash.
- 19:58Speaker 4: How crazy is that?
- 19:59Speaker 3: What was the purse on the fight? It was like
- 20:02Speaker 3: ninety two million or something like that, Like, wasn't it
- 20:05Speaker 3: something twenty eight He just fought Jake Paul. For anybody
- 20:10Speaker 3: who didn't, oh.
- 20:11Speaker 2: That's the guy that fought Jake Paul.
- 20:13Speaker 5: Broke Jake's a two time world champion, heavyweight champion.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Of the World. I felt that punch.
- 20:21Speaker 5: It is sad though, those are two of his best
- 20:22Speaker 5: friends that passed away.
- 20:24Speaker 4: In that crash.
- 20:24Speaker 5: That's crazy, Like his trainers like they're it's really sad.
- 20:29Speaker 2: They're just Yeah, they were described as close associates, but
- 20:32Speaker 2: as Cono said, I guess they were his very close
- 20:34Speaker 2: friends and team members.
- 20:35Speaker 3: But I mean just coming from such a high and
- 20:38Speaker 3: then you know, like life's crazy. But it it sounds
- 20:42Speaker 3: like they were speeding.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so very sad.
- 20:47Speaker 4: All right, another storm is it coming? You know, we
- 20:50Speaker 4: just got out of one.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Then we had the wins that are supposed to be
- 20:55Speaker 3: tapering down today, but now we are likely to see
- 20:59Speaker 3: more wet weather. And I heard Gary and Chanton talk
- 21:02Speaker 3: about this yesteryear yesterday is coarse. Heard Heather talk about
- 21:07Speaker 3: it today. That means rain possibly for the Rose Parade. Unfortunately,
- 21:13Speaker 3: the flowers are dead right, they're not I mean, they're
- 21:17Speaker 3: not trying to grow them anymore. So it's not gonna help.
- 21:20Speaker 2: No, it's just going to make things really wet. Yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 2: And you know they said when I talked to them,
- 21:25Speaker 2: they said that they're prepared for things like this. They're
- 21:28Speaker 2: prepared for the rain.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I don't think it's them that anybody's worried about. It's
- 21:33Speaker 3: kind of everybody that is watched watching. Yeah, if you've
- 21:37Speaker 3: ever been out there, I've broadcast from there a couple
- 21:41Speaker 3: of times back in the day.
- 21:43Speaker 4: What a pain in the ass.
- 21:45Speaker 2: But also the fact that you can't take an umbrella
- 21:47Speaker 2: is no, because you're gonna block everybody's I know, I mean,
- 21:52Speaker 2: I guess, But then like just watch from home because
- 21:54Speaker 2: you know that's going to be on the KTLA and
- 21:56Speaker 2: they always have great coverage.
- 21:58Speaker 4: So yeah, I mean, something else to see in person.
- 22:01Speaker 3: I get that, but no, like you know, little little
- 22:05Speaker 3: cocoa feed up fire peter On, it's snugly sweater.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I get here watching from the kf I news.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Yeah, we're working, but what are you gonna do?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Wait?
- 22:16Speaker 2: Are you here on New Year's Day? Yeah? No, Yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 2: I thought I was the only one here.
- 22:21Speaker 4: No conos.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Well, oh my gosh, you guys, let's bring snacks.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Let's make floats, let's make camf I float break. No,
- 22:32Speaker 3: I'm working New Year's even New Year's I think, all right.
- 22:36Speaker 2: But then just the day after everybody's gone, and I'll
- 22:38Speaker 2: be here by myself.
- 22:39Speaker 4: The day after New Year's on the Friday, I work Friday.
- 22:43Speaker 4: I worked this.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Oh you're here all week?
- 22:44Speaker 4: Okay, Hey, I'm here all week.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Hey, I'll be it all week.
- 22:47Speaker 4: All right? So another storm coming prepared.
- 22:50Speaker 3: It seems like they're saying it's going to produce light
- 22:52Speaker 3: to moderate showers. I always wonder it's like when they
- 22:56Speaker 3: say that is when you have torrential downpour, and then
- 22:59Speaker 3: when they say it's going to be like, oh, it's
- 23:01Speaker 3: going to be the moistest one ever in the skies
- 23:06Speaker 3: and the heavens are going.
- 23:06Speaker 2: To rip over oistest.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. And then well, we'll have to see.
- 23:11Speaker 3: But it could go through it could start tomorrow and
- 23:13Speaker 3: go through Saturday.
- 23:16Speaker 4: I wouldn't mind that.
- 23:18Speaker 2: A little light to moderate rain for the end for
- 23:21Speaker 2: the new year.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Oh, I like the rain, just I don't want to
- 23:24Speaker 3: see anybody get hurt or mountains come down or trees
- 23:26Speaker 3: come down.
- 23:27Speaker 4: But I like a little rain.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I will say, knowing that a year ago we had
- 23:32Speaker 2: the fires where everything was so dry, Yeah, it is
- 23:36Speaker 2: nice to know that we have all of this rain
- 23:38Speaker 2: coming to moisten the ground.
- 23:42Speaker 3: And you know, the bummer is I've got a lot
- 23:44Speaker 3: of projects that need painting, and I can't paint outside
- 23:49Speaker 3: when it rains.
- 23:49Speaker 4: You can't use a rattle.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Can do you have a garage a garage?
- 23:54Speaker 3: I have a shop, but I can't paint in the
- 23:56Speaker 3: shop because I have machinery in the shop.
- 23:59Speaker 4: So like an airbrush but I can't wait.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Well, you know it'll be over on Saturday, so maybe
- 24:04Speaker 2: Sunday you can get out there and that'll be your
- 24:06Speaker 2: painting day.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Makers problems.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Yes, right, yeah, all right, So Tyler Perry, do you
- 24:12Speaker 2: want to do another one real quick?
- 24:13Speaker 4: Yeah? Tyler Perry, possibly my.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Stars he has been accused of well he.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Is a second time right, yes, yes.
- 24:22Speaker 2: The sexual assault lawsuit seventy seven million dollar lawsuit has
- 24:28Speaker 2: been filed by an actor who appeared in Boo Medea Halloween.
- 24:33Speaker 2: That is the second lawsuit in recent months accusing the
- 24:36Speaker 2: filmmaker of leveraging his power to make sexual advances. The
- 24:40Speaker 2: actor's name is Mario Rodriguez. He filed the lawsuit. It
- 24:44Speaker 2: says Thursday, so on Christmas Day. I don't think last
- 24:48Speaker 2: Thursday was Christmas.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Yeah, all right.
- 24:51Speaker 2: He alleged Perry subjected him to repeated unwanted sexual advances
- 24:56Speaker 2: over the course of several years, including sexual battery and assault,
- 25:00Speaker 2: and he's now seeking seventy seven million dollars in damages.
- 25:04Speaker 2: He's also named Lions Gates in the lawsuit, which is
- 25:10Speaker 2: a really big deal. Lions Gate's not commenting.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Is Tyler Perry. Has he come out as a gay man.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I do not believe he has come out as a
- 25:18Speaker 2: gay man. No, but there have been rummers for years.
- 25:22Speaker 4: But these are two These are two.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Men, two men, and let me see if I.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's interesting because it seems the story sounds like
- 25:36Speaker 3: he was at a gym or something and saw someone
- 25:39Speaker 3: there and then had his agent or something approach that
- 25:43Speaker 3: guy saying, hey, Tyler Perry wants to audition you for
- 25:46Speaker 3: a movie.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Well, Rodriguez says that he was invited to Perry's home
- 25:53Speaker 2: where he allegedly Perry allegedly touched him in appropriately while
- 25:56Speaker 2: they watched a movie. It says. There's all so additional
- 26:00Speaker 2: incidents in over the course of several years, including one
- 26:04Speaker 2: where Perry attempted to unbuckle Rodriguez his pants and then
- 26:08Speaker 2: place his hand on his genitals. And then he says
- 26:11Speaker 2: Perry gave him five thousand dollars on multiple occasions after
- 26:15Speaker 2: these encounters.
- 26:18Speaker 4: So that's rough.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 3: China intensifying its military exercise around Taiwan.
- 26:25Speaker 4: This is those things where it's like.
- 26:27Speaker 3: The uh, the Wiener waving kind of thing where it's like, hey,
- 26:31Speaker 3: look we've got all these weapons. You don't make us angry,
- 26:34Speaker 3: we're gonna shoot you. So they're firing long range artillery
- 26:39Speaker 3: into waters off of the island.
- 26:40Speaker 4: It seems though that they are.
- 26:44Speaker 3: It's the northern waters of the island that were outside
- 26:47Speaker 3: the twenty four nautical mile boundary within which Taiwan enforces
- 26:52Speaker 3: its laws, so it's still outside that range. So it's
- 26:55Speaker 3: not like an act of war or something, but it
- 26:59Speaker 3: is very very much. You know, look at all this
- 27:02Speaker 3: stuff we have that we can blow you apart with.
- 27:06Speaker 2: All right, We again, just a lot of bad weather
- 27:10Speaker 2: this time of year. Seems kind of par for the
- 27:11Speaker 2: course a little bit, but it's particularly bad along the
- 27:14Speaker 2: East Coast. Drivers in Buffalo or warned to stay home.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Is a visibility warnings. Eleven million people are under a
- 27:23Speaker 2: winter storm warning or weather advisory, and ninety eight million
- 27:27Speaker 2: are under high wind advisories all the way from Indiana
- 27:30Speaker 2: to Boston, and that's according to the National Weather Service.
- 27:33Speaker 2: There officials are asking people to avoid traveling, and we
- 27:37Speaker 2: talked about this yesterday too. If you can avoid the travel,
- 27:41Speaker 2: do it because the roads are really bad. A bomb
- 27:44Speaker 2: cyclone dumped snow on the Midwest and Northeast over the
- 27:48Speaker 2: last weekend, and man there's been trees broken down everywhere,
- 27:54Speaker 2: just a mess on the roadways and the whole area,
- 27:56Speaker 2: So be careful if you're in that part of the country.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Has granted citizenship to Hollywood star George Clooney and of
- 28:03Speaker 3: course his lovely wife, the human rights lawyer, and so
- 28:10Speaker 3: they have They've got their family, They got eight year
- 28:12Speaker 3: old twins and they are now French citizens. You can
- 28:17Speaker 3: be a French citizen and a US citizen because French
- 28:22Speaker 3: law allows that. Clooney sixty four. He likes French culture.
- 28:27Speaker 3: He also has a place in Italy. There He's got
- 28:29Speaker 3: a villa on Lake Como in northern Italy. God bless him.
- 28:34Speaker 3: His latest film, he plays an aging American film star who,
- 28:39Speaker 3: in an attempt to rediscover himself, takes a train journey from
- 28:43Speaker 3: Paris to.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Have you seen J Kellys second?
- 28:50Speaker 4: Does life imitate art Imitating life? I have not seen J. Kelly.
- 28:56Speaker 2: You know it is good. It's a little inside baseball
- 28:59Speaker 2: for you know, the the industry is just the.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Little Oh, the industry loves that. That means a possible nomination.
- 29:06Speaker 2: But I'm telling you not only that, but he's fantastic.
- 29:10Speaker 2: And Adam Sandler is fantastic.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Adam Sandler's great.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's they are. They have a friendship in this
- 29:16Speaker 2: movie and a working It's great. I just I won't
- 29:19Speaker 2: talk too much about it because this is not the
- 29:20Speaker 2: time for movie reviews, but if you get a chance
- 29:22Speaker 2: to watch it, it's definitely worth your time and will
- 29:24Speaker 2: be nominated.
- 29:25Speaker 4: For some awards. The Oscars will someone will, Yeah, they'll
- 29:28Speaker 4: look at us, Look at us, Look how great we
- 29:31Speaker 4: are playing Make Believe We Love It Puppets.
- 29:35Speaker 2: We're getting some more information about that so col from
- 29:40Speaker 2: so Cal Gas about that gas line break break over
- 29:44Speaker 2: the weekend that happened in Castaic. They're now saying that
- 29:47Speaker 2: a geologist has determined that it was caused by significant
- 29:51Speaker 2: land movement near a natural gas pipeline. Now when I
- 29:56Speaker 2: hear that, I think earthquake, but it could be related
- 29:59Speaker 2: to maybe a small earthquake a shift, but either way.
- 30:03Speaker 2: They say that the leak from the main gas line
- 30:06Speaker 2: just east of the five Freeway in the intersection of
- 30:09Speaker 2: Ridge Route Road and Pine Crest Place. It was a
- 30:12Speaker 2: thirty four inch transmission line that felt the shift and
- 30:16Speaker 2: forced major shutdowns on the five Freeway, and fifteen thousand
- 30:20Speaker 2: homes were told to shelter in place for several hours
- 30:23Speaker 2: while they worked on repairs and clearing the air. There
- 30:26Speaker 2: was a big concern about the fumes and the toxic
- 30:30Speaker 2: gas in the air.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Yeah, just like here Kfi. No, he's on vacation, Okay,
- 30:36Speaker 3: but it is kind of scary. I wonder if, you know,
- 30:39Speaker 3: if it's not you know, dealing with earthquakes or things
- 30:45Speaker 3: like that. I wonder if it has to do with weather,
- 30:47Speaker 3: with rain or shifting.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Into soil or it says the map from a geological
- 30:52Speaker 2: survey shows highlighted slide danger zones in the same area
- 30:55Speaker 2: as Saturday's land movement.
- 30:57Speaker 3: So alrighty well, that is handled on the news. This
- 31:01Speaker 3: is KFI heard everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
- 31:04Speaker 2: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show. Catch My
- 31:06Speaker 2: Show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am, and
