- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York Case the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven tenor Hey it's Friday. That's good.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Got through the first week of twenty twenty six. We'll
- 0:15Speaker 1: get to Minneapolis, We'll get to Portland, We'll get to CBS,
- 0:18Speaker 1: We'll get to I ran the ayatolem may be fleeing
- 0:22Speaker 1: at any moment. We'll get to Mom Donnie. We'll get
- 0:25Speaker 1: to a whole lot more coming up this morning. It
- 0:28Speaker 1: is the end of the first week of twenty twenty six.
- 0:32Speaker 1: We made it through all of this. I see dead
- 0:35Speaker 1: Christmas trees all over the sidewalks in New York. People
- 0:38Speaker 1: just toss them out there in the garbage and they're
- 0:40Speaker 1: lying around all over the place there. So it's going
- 0:44Speaker 1: to be warm today, but the rain starts later. It's
- 0:48Speaker 1: going to be a very rainy weekend. But whatever snow
- 0:52Speaker 1: there's left out there somewhere is going to get washed
- 0:54Speaker 1: away this weekend. So President Trump, let's go over everything
- 1:00Speaker 1: from this. Minneapolis, they've started to identify the ice officer
- 1:05Speaker 1: who fired the shots, his picture, his face, his name
- 1:08Speaker 1: all over the internet. Now you know how the poor
- 1:13Speaker 1: woman who got killed, they would say, well, she was
- 1:15Speaker 1: a mother of a six year old. She was a poet,
- 1:19Speaker 1: she was a wonderful woman. Was also driving a car
- 1:23Speaker 1: right into a bunch of law enforcement officers, trying to
- 1:26Speaker 1: terrorize them all day. It's not just at that moment,
- 1:29Speaker 1: but she'd been there apparently all day, trying to block them,
- 1:32Speaker 1: trying to interrupt them, trying to troll them, going after them.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I could see protesting if you're really upset about something.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I could see getting a sign and standing there waving
- 1:42Speaker 1: your sign and yelling something. But could you imagine ever
- 1:45Speaker 1: getting into a big suv and terrorizing the agents. Could
- 1:51Speaker 1: you imagine would you ever have the nerve to do that?
- 1:53Speaker 1: And when I say terrorizing, I mean she's driving into them,
- 1:56Speaker 1: around them. And if you watch, they don't show you
- 1:58Speaker 1: this really when they show these videos right before the incident,
- 2:04Speaker 1: it all started. When the ICE agents are in a
- 2:07Speaker 1: caravan of cars SUVs, they're coming down the street. Right
- 2:10Speaker 1: before all this, she takes her SUV, gets in front
- 2:14Speaker 1: of them and turns the car sideways so that it's
- 2:17Speaker 1: blocking the whole street. Now, usually when you see that happen,
- 2:22Speaker 1: there's a couple of Blue Bloods episodes where you see
- 2:24Speaker 1: that where they're trying to stop Danny Reagan from taking
- 2:27Speaker 1: that witness into court. One suv turns sideways blocks the road.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Another gets behind the caravan blocks them in, so they're
- 2:34Speaker 1: boxed in, and now they start shooting at them. So
- 2:36Speaker 1: if you're these Ice agents and you see this car
- 2:40Speaker 1: ahead of you turn and just sideways block the whole
- 2:44Speaker 1: street so you can't move, your first thought is you're
- 2:47Speaker 1: going to get ambushed. Here there's going to be another
- 2:49Speaker 1: car blocking you from behind. I mean, if I were them,
- 2:52Speaker 1: I would have just rammed right through her and knocked
- 2:54Speaker 1: her car of the way, but they instead stopped. They
- 2:57Speaker 1: got out of the car and try to approach her
- 2:58Speaker 1: to see what it was all about. And that's where
- 3:01Speaker 1: all this started. Now you got all these people yelling
- 3:04Speaker 1: and screaming. You got Mamdanni and of course it can
- 3:07Speaker 1: always count on him for the left wing kook response.
- 3:10Speaker 1: And he's yelling murder, murder, murder. And you got the
- 3:13Speaker 1: Minnesota mayor, who's not the same thing their own Mamdani
- 3:17Speaker 1: yelling murder. You got Tim Waltz, the governor. He wants
- 3:20Speaker 1: to try this cop there. And now there's a couple
- 3:22Speaker 1: of things. If you just go over the facts. Fact
- 3:25Speaker 1: number one, this cop will never ever ever get convicted
- 3:29Speaker 1: of anything. He's totally legally covered, justified. We can go
- 3:32Speaker 1: over the reasons why in a moment, absolutely total legal shooting.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Now here's the other thing. If you talk off the
- 3:39Speaker 1: record to every great law enforcement person, police commissioners, all
- 3:46Speaker 1: sorts of top top police people, they'll tell you when
- 3:49Speaker 1: they've studied this, it's legally justified. It was legal in firing.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But they'll also tell you off the record, he shouldn't
- 3:56Speaker 1: have fired. He didn't have to fire. He did hit
- 4:00Speaker 1: him with the car. He was in front of it.
- 4:02Speaker 1: She was coming at him. She then tried to turn away,
- 4:06Speaker 1: so you can legally fire at her. But they all
- 4:09Speaker 1: said the same thing. If you were a much smarter cop,
- 4:14Speaker 1: you would have gotten out of the way. You didn't
- 4:16Speaker 1: have to fire, So you don't shoot and kill her.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You just either get the local police to capture her later,
- 4:23Speaker 1: or you chase her and capture He didn't need to
- 4:26Speaker 1: fire the shots. Now, he's legally covered because she did
- 4:30Speaker 1: hit him with the car. You can see that in
- 4:31Speaker 1: the videos from the front. And also if you're watching
- 4:35Speaker 1: Stephen Colbert, you wouldn't know any of this last night.
- 4:37Speaker 1: He did this whole thing about her. He just shot
- 4:39Speaker 1: her from the side of the car. He was on
- 4:41Speaker 1: the side of the car shooting at her. Now, actually
- 4:43Speaker 1: he was in front of the car for the first shot.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Because the first shot, and this is the key to
- 4:48Speaker 1: everything if it ever were to go into a courtroom,
- 4:50Speaker 1: the first shot goes through the front windshield. And that's
- 4:55Speaker 1: impossible to do if you're on the side of the car.
- 4:58Speaker 1: If the first shot goes right through the front windshield.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And that's because he was in front of the car.
- 5:02Speaker 1: If you look at the other videos, which they'd never
- 5:04Speaker 1: show you, from the front the car hit some reason,
- 5:06Speaker 1: he's on the side. The car hit him and knocked
- 5:08Speaker 1: him to the side. But again, he's legally justified. He's
- 5:14Speaker 1: legal in the shooting. But off the record, every law
- 5:17Speaker 1: enforcement guesses, you didn't have to fire those shots. You
- 5:19Speaker 1: could have just let it go. But he will get
- 5:23Speaker 1: a federal investigation. They will not convict him. Even the
- 5:28Speaker 1: biggest Trump hating prosecutors, the Andy McCarthy types, will tell
- 5:33Speaker 1: you it's a legally justified shooting. They can't convict him
- 5:35Speaker 1: of anything, but fed's will go after him. Now, the
- 5:39Speaker 1: Minnesota officials, the crazy left wing mayor and Waltz. They
- 5:43Speaker 1: want to try him, they want to put him on trial,
- 5:45Speaker 1: they want to go after him. It's good for them politically,
- 5:48Speaker 1: it's a good issue for them to latch onto. That's
- 5:51Speaker 1: the other problem with this. It's a terrible incident, tragic, awful,
- 5:55Speaker 1: even though it's legal. It's probably unnecessary, but it's legal.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But if you're a Democrat and you hate Trump and
- 6:02Speaker 1: your whole life is trying to get Trump, this is perfect.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You can use this for the next year, and you
- 6:08Speaker 1: got midterm elections coming up. So if you're a Democrat,
- 6:12Speaker 1: this is great. This footage the cops shooting the woman.
- 6:16Speaker 1: If you read these articles in the left wing news media,
- 6:19Speaker 1: she was a poet, she was a mother, she was
- 6:22Speaker 1: how could they shoot her? But again, if you're a
- 6:25Speaker 1: poet and a mother, you generally wouldn't be the type
- 6:28Speaker 1: would you to be taking your suv and trying to
- 6:30Speaker 1: run over cops or try to bust up a police operation.
- 6:35Speaker 1: That's highly unusual behavior. But these Democrats, with the rhetoric,
- 6:39Speaker 1: these Colberts and Stephanopoulos's and all the media and all
- 6:44Speaker 1: the Democrats and all they've riled up these people, They've
- 6:48Speaker 1: inflamed them. They've weaponized these white liberal women with their
- 6:53Speaker 1: liberal arts degrees to go crazy. But Tim Waltz, who's
- 6:58Speaker 1: had withdraw from the guvern his race in total disgrace,
- 7:01Speaker 1: this might be a turning point for him. Maybe you
- 7:03Speaker 1: can save himself. That's why he wants to do the investigation.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yesterday, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension the BCA, spent
- 7:10Speaker 2: the day yesterday attempting to get that accountability. We have
- 7:13Speaker 2: learned that the Trump administration has now denied the state
- 7:16Speaker 2: that ability to participate in the investigation. And I always
- 7:19Speaker 2: want to make this as clear as possible to everyone.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Minnesota must be part of this investigation.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Right now.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Gotta give this guy credit for the first ten seconds.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Boy does he sound.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Official yesterday the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the bc ooh,
- 7:34Speaker 2: the bc.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Other, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal and Apprehension. It sounds impressive.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Then he said, well, wait a minute, you just had
- 7:41Speaker 1: eighteen billions stolen right under your nose. You didn't even
- 7:44Speaker 1: know it, and now that you know it's stolen, you
- 7:46Speaker 1: haven't done a damn thing about it.
- 7:47Speaker 2: A spent the day yesterday attempting to get that accountability.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Accountability, that's that's his middle name, accountability. Again. Eighteen billions stolen.
- 7:56Speaker 1: He didn't notice, he didn't see, he didn't look. Now
- 7:58Speaker 1: that they know it was stolen, and you'll never hear
- 8:01Speaker 1: a word about it from him. He'll never mention. It
- 8:03Speaker 1: looks the other way. So it's it's just silly, it's
- 8:07Speaker 1: just ridiculous. So we'll see what happens. There will be
- 8:12Speaker 1: a federal investigation. Now you got the Portland incident on
- 8:14Speaker 1: top of that, and again it's the same thing. You know,
- 8:18Speaker 1: people weaponizing cars, trying to drive into you don't wherever
- 8:22Speaker 1: there's a shooting, a gun incident, they always call for
- 8:25Speaker 1: banning guns. You've had people use cars now as weapons.
- 8:29Speaker 1: We'll see what happens. Car attacks, now here's here's one
- 8:33Speaker 1: reason the ICE agents are really really on edge over
- 8:37Speaker 1: this attacks with people using cars to run down ICE agents.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Car attacks on ICE agents over the last year are up.
- 8:47Speaker 1: They have spiked up thirty two hundred percent in one year.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Thirty two hundred percent in one year. There's a massive
- 8:56Speaker 1: number of incidents. The one reason this cop was so
- 8:59Speaker 1: quick to fire was months ago he was in another
- 9:04Speaker 1: incident where a car tried to run him down and
- 9:06Speaker 1: the car he got caught with his arm in the car,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and the car dragged him for hundreds and hundreds of feet,
- 9:13Speaker 1: almost tore his arm off. In fact, he was seriously injured.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He had something like forty five stitches and his arm.
- 9:20Speaker 1: He still hasn't gotten full use of his arm. So,
- 9:23Speaker 1: you know, the victim who was shot, you'll hear about
- 9:26Speaker 1: what a wonderful she was, a mother, she was this Well,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you could do the same thing with the cop. Everybody
- 9:31Speaker 1: describes him as a wonderful man, a really kind, wonderful neighbor,
- 9:36Speaker 1: a guy who went to church all the time. And
- 9:39Speaker 1: he's married to an immigrant. You know, he's not an
- 9:41Speaker 1: anti immigrant guy. He's been on the Ice Force for
- 9:44Speaker 1: twelve years. He was, for that, a war veteran, So
- 9:48Speaker 1: I mean, a model citizen. But this will continue, You know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: it doesn't matter what the real deal is. Democrats are
- 9:58Speaker 1: running for midterm a linetions. They need to use this.
- 10:01Speaker 1: They want to destroy Trump should they take office. They
- 10:04Speaker 1: want to impeach them. This would be perfect. Are they
- 10:06Speaker 1: going to play this up like crazy? You're gonna hear
- 10:10Speaker 1: all about this. You're going to see more rioting now.
- 10:12Speaker 1: We hope this doesn't turn out to remember the last
- 10:14Speaker 1: time we had the riots start, it went on for
- 10:16Speaker 1: an entire summer, all through the election year, and this
- 10:20Speaker 1: will be an election year, so you know, you've got
- 10:23Speaker 1: a couple other things going on. The Affordable Care Act
- 10:25Speaker 1: is it turned out this Obamacare, they call it the
- 10:28Speaker 1: Affordable Care Act, but it's not affordable. It turned out
- 10:31Speaker 1: to be a total disaster. Drove the cost of healthcare
- 10:34Speaker 1: up like crazy. So to fix that, the government has
- 10:38Speaker 1: to give you subsidies. It's so unaffordable you have to
- 10:41Speaker 1: get huge government subsidies to pay for it, and those
- 10:45Speaker 1: have expired. That's what the shutdown was all about. So
- 10:48Speaker 1: we're headed to another shutdown in two weeks. About those substies, well,
- 10:53Speaker 1: yesterday this week Congress started to pass the patch for that.
- 10:59Speaker 1: We thought they'd do like a a one year patch
- 11:01Speaker 1: continue the subsidies to give everybody time to figure out
- 11:04Speaker 1: how to fix the system, but instead it was three years,
- 11:08Speaker 1: so for three years the subsidies will continue. Now this
- 11:11Speaker 1: is bad for Democrats in the midterms because if the
- 11:15Speaker 1: whole thing expired, healthcare costs would have gone way up.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It would have helped Democrats run for the midterms, but
- 11:22Speaker 1: they've lost this issue now by putting in this patch.
- 11:25Speaker 1: So apparently what Democrats want to do is they want
- 11:29Speaker 1: to use these incidents with Ice as the big midterm election.
- 11:34Speaker 1: They'll try affordability. But the problem is, and I think
- 11:36Speaker 1: they kind of know this, as we head into the summer,
- 11:39Speaker 1: prices are going to come way down. Inflation has been dropping.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Everything is. Prices have been dropping, and the economy has
- 11:45Speaker 1: been picking up steam. The tax cuts from the big
- 11:48Speaker 1: beautiful bill now kick in starting this month. People will
- 11:51Speaker 1: be getting more in their paychecks. So affordability economy, that
- 11:56Speaker 1: might not be the greatest issue, but they're going to
- 11:57Speaker 1: use ice as the midterms issue. So in fact, they're
- 12:02Speaker 1: talking about maybe another government shutdown over ice, over getting
- 12:07Speaker 1: rid of ice. There'll be a defund the ice movement coming,
- 12:12Speaker 1: so keep an eye out for that. Hey, Iran is
- 12:15Speaker 1: an amazing situation. You know, you've always wanted to get
- 12:18Speaker 1: rid of this iatolem. You always thought, maybe, you know,
- 12:20Speaker 1: if you stir up a rebellion revolution in Iran, maybe
- 12:25Speaker 1: that will put Well, we didn't have to do a thing.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It already rows up on its own. The people of
- 12:31Speaker 1: Iran are rebelling like crazy, protesting all of this. It's
- 12:36Speaker 1: gotten so out of hand that Iran has shut down
- 12:40Speaker 1: their internet as a way to stop that. You see
- 12:43Speaker 1: signs now death to the Ayatola, which usually would get
- 12:47Speaker 1: you killed in a second, but the revolution is so
- 12:50Speaker 1: bold right now. They've got these signs up. And apparently
- 12:53Speaker 1: the Ayatola, who's very old, is making plans. He thinks
- 12:58Speaker 1: there's a good chance he may have to flee the
- 13:00Speaker 1: country and leave that the revolution may be successful if
- 13:05Speaker 1: the Iotola leaves. Apparently he's planning to go to Russia
- 13:08Speaker 1: where they will take care of them. And he's got
- 13:12Speaker 1: about twenty people he wants to take with him inner
- 13:14Speaker 1: circle family, so that would be fascinating. He leaves, and
- 13:18Speaker 1: then the revolution, if it's successful, you get a normal government,
- 13:22Speaker 1: normal some kind of sort of democratic government. So you'll
- 13:26Speaker 1: have that in Venezuela, you'll have that in Iran. If
- 13:30Speaker 1: President Trump keeps going on the path he's going on,
- 13:32Speaker 1: you'll probably end up with some kind of democracy in
- 13:35Speaker 1: Cuba Columbia. He'll bring down these dictators. Now, the meeting
- 13:40Speaker 1: is today with all the oil companies. The president wants
- 13:44Speaker 1: the big oil companies to go into Venezuela and fix
- 13:48Speaker 1: the oil drilling, the infrastructure. It's all decayed and gone. Venezuela,
- 13:54Speaker 1: believe it or not, has twenty percent of the world's oil.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Seventeen trillion in oil is under the ground there three
- 14:00Speaker 1: hundred billion barrels. They've got more oil than the Saudis do.
- 14:05Speaker 1: So the problem is they don't have any oil industry.
- 14:08Speaker 1: They let all the wells, the infrastructure totally decay. They
- 14:11Speaker 1: can't get it out of the ground. But you send
- 14:13Speaker 1: these oil companies in there. They know how to fix
- 14:15Speaker 1: that stuff. Take a while, but they'll fix it. Get
- 14:17Speaker 1: the oil pumping, and then Venezuela could not only be
- 14:20Speaker 1: a democracy, it could be the most wealthy, booming economy
- 14:24Speaker 1: as it was way back when before the socialists came in.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Now here's the only catch. President has the oil company
- 14:30Speaker 1: executives coming in today to talk to them about going
- 14:34Speaker 1: down there and fixing everything. Now, they would love to
- 14:37Speaker 1: do this because you can make a lot of money
- 14:38Speaker 1: pumping all that oil. But and they're gonna be very
- 14:43Speaker 1: careful with the President. They're not going to really come
- 14:44Speaker 1: out and say this. They're going to kind of stall
- 14:47Speaker 1: for time because they don't really want to go in there.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Here's the problem, and they're not wrong about this. It'd
- 14:53Speaker 1: be great if Trump's in office. They will go down there,
- 14:56Speaker 1: fix the oil infrastructure, oil beflow, everything be great. But
- 15:01Speaker 1: they got to think to them, so, well, what if
- 15:03Speaker 1: the Republicans lose Congress in November, what if Democrats take over?
- 15:08Speaker 1: They won't pack us up. We won't get the protection
- 15:10Speaker 1: we need, the money we need. And then they got
- 15:12Speaker 1: to think, what if a couple of years that Democrats
- 15:15Speaker 1: take the White House, if it's a democratic government, they'll
- 15:18Speaker 1: be stuck down there in Venezuela without the federal backup
- 15:21Speaker 1: and protection. So they're not too crazy about going in
- 15:25Speaker 1: there right now. So, hey, we got a lot to
- 15:27Speaker 1: get to this hour. Oh we'll get to CBS that
- 15:29Speaker 1: Barry Weiss, the new person running it, is cleaning things up,
- 15:34Speaker 1: that Evening News now is a little more balanced. And
- 15:37Speaker 1: apparently she's all over sixty minutes stopping some of their
- 15:41Speaker 1: stories because they're totally unbalanced, letting some of their stories
- 15:45Speaker 1: go if they agree to put in both sides. This
- 15:48Speaker 1: has got CBS people very upset. So we'll get to
- 15:52Speaker 1: that in a lot more coming up. We'll take some calls. Next.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:59Speaker 1: the number eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Now back to the mont Simone show on WR.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 16:11Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 16:15Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten. Let's go to Shelley in
- 16:18Speaker 1: Long Island. Shelley, how you.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Doing, Hey, good morning, Mark. Loved the show. Mark. We
- 16:24Speaker 4: have not seen one high profile arrest. Day after day
- 16:29Speaker 4: we see governors, mayors threaten the president and I and
- 16:33Speaker 4: no one gets arrested. It's so fatiguing arrest the.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Governors and mayors and I can't arrest them. They're allowed
- 16:39Speaker 1: to be idiots. It's not a crime to be stupid.
- 16:43Speaker 4: So why are we going to see a high profile
- 16:45Speaker 4: arrest any any time?
- 16:47Speaker 1: I think you saw on Saturday, Maduro that was pretty
- 16:49Speaker 1: high profile.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Well, I mean in the United States.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Well you've seen the Letitia James. She's beaten the last
- 16:57Speaker 1: couple of charges, but they'll get her eventually.
- 17:00Speaker 4: All right, Okay, you think you're saying positive. I'm trying
- 17:03Speaker 4: to stay positive here, but I don't know. I feel
- 17:06Speaker 4: like we keep getting defeated.
- 17:07Speaker 1: But I don't know. Who do you want arrested? I mean,
- 17:09Speaker 1: look at look at Ice. They've arrested something like three
- 17:12Speaker 1: hundred thousand illegals.
- 17:13Speaker 4: That's pretty good, right, I don't know. I guess these mayors,
- 17:17Speaker 4: these governors.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Who are But you can't arrest somebody for being an idiot,
- 17:22Speaker 1: for being crazy. You can't arrest them. But thanks for calling.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing,
- 17:29Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 17:32Speaker 5: One of the things I always find interesting about these
- 17:34Speaker 5: stories like the Minnesota shooting is well, first of all,
- 17:37Speaker 5: the Democrats lovet is. Jane Fonder reminded us. They love
- 17:40Speaker 5: these kinds of things because they can make hay from it.
- 17:43Speaker 6: But it's also the takes people have that it's like
- 17:46Speaker 6: some random event, like she was out looking for a
- 17:49Speaker 6: loaf of bread and she got lost and she was
- 17:50Speaker 6: shot by this you know, by this rogue cop.
- 17:53Speaker 5: You know, these the cops.
- 17:54Speaker 6: Have intel, they know what's going on the other side.
- 17:58Speaker 6: Is there for reasons? And I wouldn't put it past
- 18:01Speaker 6: the Democrats in the left the hope that somebody gets shot,
- 18:04Speaker 6: because then they have fodder for their you know, like
- 18:08Speaker 6: you said, riots all summer, you know, and that unnerves
- 18:11Speaker 6: the voting public.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And I said again, if you're a left wing crazy
- 18:15Speaker 1: uh liberal, that's fine. And if you want to get
- 18:18Speaker 1: a sign and go protest Ice and put a sign,
- 18:21Speaker 1: call on them all kinds of names. If you want
- 18:22Speaker 1: to scream at them, that's great, that's fine. But who
- 18:26Speaker 1: think I'll take my big SUV and just drive right
- 18:29Speaker 1: into them.
- 18:29Speaker 6: I'll block their up exactly exactly. And and like you said,
- 18:33Speaker 6: there's been an uptick of three thousand percent, so it
- 18:36Speaker 6: is a planned saying.
- 18:38Speaker 1: All right, well, thanks for calling. Somebody put out a
- 18:40Speaker 1: book called how Not to Get Shot by Ice. It's
- 18:45Speaker 1: one page. The one page says don't run your car
- 18:48Speaker 1: into them. It's pretty much that simple. Let's go to
- 18:51Speaker 1: Bob Montvale, New Jersey.
- 18:53Speaker 7: Thanks Mark for taking my call. But this Minnesota thing
- 18:57Speaker 7: is interesting because it brings into play like child's care.
- 19:02Speaker 7: The reportal is in the post, so that the childcare center,
- 19:05Speaker 7: it was like the meeting point for this group. Interesting,
- 19:09Speaker 7: isn't it? So here for their childcare is bogus and
- 19:12Speaker 7: the other half is tainting little children.
- 19:15Speaker 1: And yeah, well in their defense. The childcare centers had
- 19:18Speaker 1: no children in them. They were empty, so I might
- 19:20Speaker 1: as well rent them out to crazy left wing protesters.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Do something with them. Let's go to Michael in beautiful
- 19:25Speaker 1: Oyster Bay. Michael, how you doing?
- 19:28Speaker 3: Oh good? How are you?
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 19:31Speaker 8: Twenty thirteen, there was a shooting at the Capitol. I
- 19:34Speaker 8: don't know if you remember. The woman who hit a
- 19:36Speaker 8: Capitol police officer near the White House, kept driving towards
- 19:39Speaker 8: the Capitol.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Yeah, get a baby in the car.
- 19:41Speaker 8: They sat here dead.
- 19:42Speaker 6: No, no, no cluestion.
- 19:43Speaker 1: De Yeah, Well, it depends if you're a Democrat. It's bad.
- 19:47Speaker 1: It's good a republic and it's bad. It depends. You
- 19:51Speaker 1: got to d buy your name. You get a democratic
- 19:53Speaker 1: community on those things. Let's go to sewn in New Jersey. Sean,
- 19:56Speaker 1: how you doing, good morning?
- 19:58Speaker 9: Mark, very well.
- 19:59Speaker 3: See.
- 20:00Speaker 5: I don't know why we keep using the word that
- 20:03Speaker 5: this was a tragedy.
- 20:04Speaker 6: It's terrible.
- 20:05Speaker 5: We never want someone being killed or shot, but this
- 20:08Speaker 5: wasn't an innocent person.
- 20:10Speaker 10: If a bystander, if a protestant that's just standing there
- 20:13Speaker 10: holding a sign.
- 20:14Speaker 6: Like you said, got shot and killed, that's a tragedy.
- 20:17Speaker 9: If I took my car out right now and try
- 20:19Speaker 9: to run over a police officer and I got shot.
- 20:20Speaker 5: No one would say it's a tragedy.
- 20:22Speaker 8: This is not a tragedy.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Again, it depends are you a Democrat, are you a Republican.
- 20:27Speaker 1: If she's a Democrat, it's a tragedy. If you're a publican,
- 20:30Speaker 1: if you're Ashley Babbitt.
- 20:32Speaker 6: Good exactly.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Hey I'm not exaggerating, by the way, go look at
- 20:36Speaker 1: my Twitter. We found these Keith Oberman tweets. When Ashley Babbitt,
- 20:39Speaker 1: the war veteran, was shot for no reason by a cop.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Oberman is tweeting justice has been done, but with this
- 20:49Speaker 1: case murder a Yeah, that's psycho Keith Oberman. He's still
- 20:53Speaker 1: out there, but he sometimes tweets from the unemployment line
- 20:57Speaker 1: and puts those crazy things up. Yeah, it's just I mean, listen,
- 21:01Speaker 1: it's one thing to rile up your base. It's one
- 21:03Speaker 1: thing to weaponize these angry white liberal women with the
- 21:07Speaker 1: liberal arts degrees, with the nose rings. It's one thing
- 21:10Speaker 1: to rile them up. But to get them to start
- 21:13Speaker 1: using their SUVs they're soccer mom SUVs to run over
- 21:17Speaker 1: police or try to drive right into the middle of
- 21:19Speaker 1: a police operation and bust. It's insane, it's crazy. And
- 21:24Speaker 1: again these suv trying to hit the police. Those incidents
- 21:28Speaker 1: are up thirty two hundred thirty two hundred percent in
- 21:33Speaker 1: the last year. Hey, when we come back, some entertainment news.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Actually we'll talk to Roger Friedman. I got a lot
- 21:38Speaker 1: of things to talk to him about. We'll get to
- 21:41Speaker 1: Nick Reiner, and we'll get to Marty Supreme and a
- 21:44Speaker 1: whole lot more coming up on seven to ten WR.
- 21:48Speaker 4: This is to the Mark some Moon show on seventen WR.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Well, we'll talk to Roger in a moment. We're hunting
- 22:00Speaker 1: for them as we speak. Little controversy yesterday the Health
- 22:05Speaker 1: and Human Services, you know the Robert F. Kennedy and
- 22:08Speaker 1: doctor Oz was there Brooke Rollins for this thing. They
- 22:11Speaker 1: redid the food pyramid. I don't know if it's good
- 22:14Speaker 1: or bad. But do you know anybody actually looks at
- 22:17Speaker 1: this food pyramid? Do you know anybody that follows the
- 22:19Speaker 1: before you eat these say, let me check that food pyramid.
- 22:22Speaker 1: So they want you to eat more protein. The good
- 22:24Speaker 1: part is less sugar. That's the good point. We'll get
- 22:26Speaker 1: back to that anyway. But Roger Friedman, the Great entertainment
- 22:29Speaker 1: reporter his website. You should check it every day. There's
- 22:32Speaker 1: always great stories. Showbiz for one one dot com, Showbiz
- 22:37Speaker 1: for one dot com. Roger Friedman, how you doing. I'm great,
- 22:41Speaker 1: Good morning. How are you good? Hey, we haven't talked
- 22:43Speaker 1: in a couple of weeks. I got to catch up
- 22:45Speaker 1: on a few things. One Okay, Marty Supreme. They talked
- 22:50Speaker 1: about it as the biggest movie of the year. It's
- 22:52Speaker 1: doing okay, but it's doing great. Did you see that I.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Used your picture? Yeah, and I featured you.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Know, and it was great. I actually knew the real Marty Supreme, who,
- 23:04Speaker 1: by the way, had nothing to do with this movie.
- 23:06Speaker 1: He was the ping pong champion. But this stuff that
- 23:09Speaker 1: they was.
- 23:09Speaker 11: Inspired by him, the idea movie is inspired by him.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but with the chasing, the women, the gangsters, the shootings,
- 23:16Speaker 1: the car chases, none of that really happened with him.
- 23:18Speaker 1: He was actually a pretty boring guy in real life.
- 23:23Speaker 1: But I'm looking at the box office, it's always like
- 23:26Speaker 1: number two or three. It's not like number one.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Every week.
- 23:29Speaker 11: Well, you know, Avatar is out, so that's like the
- 23:34Speaker 11: big commercial movie at the moment. But Marty Supreme is
- 23:37Speaker 11: up to like sixteen million dollars. I think after just
- 23:41Speaker 11: a couple of weeks, that's great.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Are you kidding? Okay, that's wonderful.
- 23:44Speaker 1: It's a great movie. Yeah, I mean it's a great movie.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Everybody should go see it. When does it start streaming
- 23:50Speaker 1: because some people wait for that.
- 23:52Speaker 11: Oh it's not. It's a sixty one million. That's fantastic
- 23:56Speaker 11: after twenty days, and the first few days were not
- 23:59Speaker 11: really they were just in two theaters. No, it's doing great.
- 24:04Speaker 11: It won't be streaming for a long time. It's got
- 24:07Speaker 11: to get through the award season. You know, Tomorrow Sunday
- 24:11Speaker 11: night is the Golden Globes. This past weekend was the Critics'
- 24:15Speaker 11: Choice Awards, which he won Timothy Challame, and then we're
- 24:20Speaker 11: gonna have the Golden Globes. Then we're gonna have Oscar nominations.
- 24:24Speaker 11: Then we're going to have things like the SAG Awards,
- 24:27Speaker 11: and then finally the Oscars on March fifteenth. I don't
- 24:29Speaker 11: think you'll see Marty Supreme streaming until after March fifteenth,
- 24:35Speaker 11: but that's not bad. It Eventually it'll get there. But
- 24:39Speaker 11: the two big movies of this Oscar season are Marty Supreme.
- 24:43Speaker 11: In one battle after another, and they're going to battle
- 24:47Speaker 11: for the Oscar, and I think one battle will win
- 24:50Speaker 11: the Oscar and Timothy Chilly will win the Best Actor Award.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It is guess it is a great movie. Everybody should
- 24:58Speaker 1: go see Marty Supreme. You love it.
- 25:00Speaker 3: It's a great movie.
- 25:01Speaker 11: And it's funny because after you said you knew him
- 25:03Speaker 11: and you had pictures, a few other people turned up
- 25:07Speaker 11: in the papers saying that they had known him also,
- 25:10Speaker 11: and one of them was Tina Brown, whose husband, Harry Evans,
- 25:14Speaker 11: the famous editor, was sort of like my mentor. And
- 25:17Speaker 11: I had no idea that Marty Riceman had written a
- 25:22Speaker 11: second book that was never been published, and he wanted
- 25:26Speaker 11: Harry Evans to publish at a random house. So he
- 25:28Speaker 11: kept going to and Harry put a ping pong table
- 25:31Speaker 11: in his basement on fifty seventh Street, and Marty was
- 25:35Speaker 11: going over there and playing ping pong to the disgust
- 25:39Speaker 11: of Tina Brown, who didn't like him and didn't want
- 25:41Speaker 11: him in her house. But Harry loved it, and all
- 25:45Speaker 11: they did was play ping pong night and day.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Yeah, he was an incredible ping pong player. Otherwise kind
- 25:50Speaker 1: of a dull and annoying sort of a guy, kind
- 25:52Speaker 1: of a little sweepie.
- 25:57Speaker 11: You could sort of see that in the movie. Actually
- 26:00Speaker 11: concerneracy as he got older, this would wear thin, you know.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it was. You know that the behavior is cute
- 26:07Speaker 1: when you're twenty two, when you're fifty two. Right that
- 26:09Speaker 1: cut right now. The other thing we haven't talked about it.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Tell us about what you know about Nick Reiner, Rob Reiner,
- 26:15Speaker 1: the whole situation.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I don't know anything more than you do.
- 26:18Speaker 11: It's such a tragic story because Rob Reiner, who I knew,
- 26:23Speaker 11: and his wife Michelle, who I also knew, were just
- 26:26Speaker 11: the greatest people. And apparently they were living with this
- 26:31Speaker 11: incredible catastrophe in their house and didn't really know what
- 26:34Speaker 11: to do, and they were doing the best they could,
- 26:37Speaker 11: and they thought, well, just you know, keep giving him
- 26:39Speaker 11: money and love and it'll turn around. And obviously the
- 26:42Speaker 11: kid was really sick.
- 26:44Speaker 3: So now he's lost his lawyer. His lawyer withdrew.
- 26:49Speaker 11: From the case this week and he's going to have
- 26:52Speaker 11: a public defender. And the lawyer didn't say why, but
- 26:55Speaker 11: my guess is that the brother and sisters would not
- 27:00Speaker 11: pay for the defense. This lawyer, his name is Alan Jackson,
- 27:04Speaker 11: probably costs one thousand dollars an hour or whatever. And
- 27:08Speaker 11: if you it's a tragic thing. Can you imagine that
- 27:10Speaker 11: your sibling kills your parents and then comes to you
- 27:13Speaker 11: and says, will you pay for my defense?
- 27:15Speaker 3: And what are you going to do? You know?
- 27:17Speaker 11: And I think that probably they've decided they're not going
- 27:19Speaker 11: to pay for the defense anyway. He's going to wind
- 27:22Speaker 11: up in a mental hospital some kind and they're going
- 27:25Speaker 11: to plead insanity and and it's horrible.
- 27:28Speaker 3: He's ruined all of their lives.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Apparently, apparently he's officially been diagnosed with being a schizophrenic.
- 27:35Speaker 1: And a couple of criminal lawyers told me, you have
- 27:37Speaker 1: to withdraw because you can't deal with schizophrenics as a lawyer.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Also, you need two lawyers.
- 27:43Speaker 11: Actually, right, is it.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Too soon for jokes?
- 27:52Speaker 1: But now apparently the family has said they do not
- 27:55Speaker 1: want the death penalty. They've asked the DA and the.
- 27:59Speaker 11: D about the death penalty for their brother.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but the DA has said the wishes of the
- 28:04Speaker 1: family will be a paramount to his decision, so they
- 28:07Speaker 1: will not seek to death YCTY.
- 28:09Speaker 11: No, he's going to go to jail for the rest
- 28:11Speaker 11: of his life, and he'll probably he'll die in jail,
- 28:13Speaker 11: and maybe it'll be a hospital jail, because he's you know,
- 28:16Speaker 11: obviously very very very sick guy. But what he's done
- 28:21Speaker 11: is just it's unforgivable. They'll never be able to forgive
- 28:24Speaker 11: him for this, and it must be the winding down
- 28:28Speaker 11: of any state when a person is older is a
- 28:31Speaker 11: very difficult thing. That you realize that Rob Bryer was
- 28:34Speaker 11: at the height of his careers, so this must be
- 28:38Speaker 11: for these kids to have to deal with this now
- 28:41Speaker 11: is just the worst thing ever. It's unimaginable.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, let's talk about Bruno Mars. It was always
- 28:47Speaker 1: a very big deal, but somehow he got hotter than
- 28:49Speaker 1: ever and now he's announced he's going to play stadiums.
- 28:51Speaker 1: How did he get so much hotter all of a sudden.
- 28:54Speaker 3: No, he's been hot for a while, you know.
- 28:56Speaker 11: He had this huge hit with Lady Gaga over the
- 28:59Speaker 11: last year.
- 29:00Speaker 3: It's a massive hit. It's called Die with a Smile.
- 29:03Speaker 11: It's a ballad and it's actually the biggest record of
- 29:06Speaker 11: the last year and a half, so that really helps him.
- 29:10Speaker 11: He also had a hit with one of the young
- 29:12Speaker 11: women from Black Pink in the Korean pop so it
- 29:17Speaker 11: really reignited. These two things really reignited him. So he's
- 29:20Speaker 11: made a new album that's coming out of February twenty seventh,
- 29:23Speaker 11: and last night he dropped a new single, and he's
- 29:27Speaker 11: apparently in a fight online with one of his fans,
- 29:30Speaker 11: who said on Twitter. The fan said, this guy puts
- 29:35Speaker 11: out the same song all the time and no one
- 29:37Speaker 11: ever says anything, and Berto bar has attacked him personally
- 29:42Speaker 11: back on Twitter, which was hilarious.
- 29:44Speaker 3: But I have to say the song.
- 29:47Speaker 11: Which I can't remember, I think it's called It Just Might,
- 29:50Speaker 11: and it's a dance song and it's fun. It sounds
- 29:53Speaker 11: exactly like Leo Sayer's You Make Me Feel Like Dancing
- 29:59Speaker 11: se exact same song. And this is not the first
- 30:03Speaker 11: time Bruno Mars has done this. He did their song
- 30:06Speaker 11: early in his career. I can't read the name of it.
- 30:08Speaker 11: It sounded like the Police, which sing Every time I
- 30:12Speaker 11: started playing, you thought, oh, this is the Police. Bruno
- 30:15Speaker 11: Mars is very good at sort of copying other people's
- 30:17Speaker 11: styles and then adding a little bit of something else
- 30:20Speaker 11: to make it sound new. But he's fun, you know,
- 30:23Speaker 11: he's a fun guy. He has a great voice, and
- 30:27Speaker 11: I don't mind him doing that and sting say at
- 30:29Speaker 11: the time, I don't care, do.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Whatever you want.
- 30:32Speaker 11: I don't know what Leo Sayer will say when he
- 30:33Speaker 11: hears this, but I played it. It dropped on Spotify
- 30:36Speaker 11: about twelve thirty last night, and I said, I'd better
- 30:39Speaker 11: listen to this, and I'm like, this sounds like something I.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Know very much.
- 30:44Speaker 11: So but he's but Bruno.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Let's see, is he I'll tell you right now. Is
- 30:47Speaker 3: it a hit?
- 30:48Speaker 11: Probably it's probably number one, because you know his people
- 30:50Speaker 11: don't even know who leos Aya was.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Yeah, you know his fans, they have no idea.
- 30:55Speaker 1: No, he had a bunch of hits mid seventies. Is
- 30:57Speaker 1: he still alive? I assuming, of course he is.
- 31:00Speaker 3: You know, I'll tell you.
- 31:01Speaker 11: I'll tell you something about Bruno Mars that is smart.
- 31:04Speaker 11: They booked him this big tour. It's number six. They
- 31:07Speaker 11: booked him this big tour. But he's not going out
- 31:10Speaker 11: on his own, which is really smart. He's going out
- 31:13Speaker 11: with four other R and B stars Let's go Away
- 31:17Speaker 11: and Leon Thomas. And this is what you have to
- 31:20Speaker 11: do now because people cannot fill these stadiums at these prices,
- 31:26Speaker 11: so the tickets are so jacked up and You've seen
- 31:30Speaker 11: a lot of calamities of tours where you know there's
- 31:34Speaker 11: like large empty areas of stadiums. So I think that
- 31:38Speaker 11: it's Bruno Marster. I really want to see it at
- 31:40Speaker 11: this Bruno Mars tour. I think it's going to be great.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Well, you could have large empty areas if you're met life.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Jets are used to it. Giants are used to it.
- 31:47Speaker 1: A lot of empty areas in the.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Well the giants.
- 31:50Speaker 11: Maybe you're picking up some esteem though, aren't they.
- 31:53Speaker 1: That's when you know you're bad. When when when you
- 31:56Speaker 1: go four and thirteen they think it was a great season,
- 31:58Speaker 1: you know you're in trouble.
- 32:00Speaker 11: So you know you're only good as you're only as
- 32:02Speaker 11: good as your last game.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Roger Friedman great stuff. Check out his website.
- 32:08Speaker 1: And then there's new stories every day Showbiz four week.
- 32:11Speaker 3: I just put up a story.
- 32:12Speaker 11: I just put up a story about the Golden Gloves,
- 32:14Speaker 11: which are this Sunday, and how it's changed. There's used
- 32:17Speaker 11: to be all these great Golden Globe parties and of
- 32:20Speaker 11: course it's all everything is diminished now And if you
- 32:25Speaker 11: want to read, I think it's a pretty fun story
- 32:27Speaker 11: to read about all the Golden Globe Stories, Golden Globe parties.
- 32:31Speaker 3: I've been to all.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, go to Showbiz four one one dot com.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Showbiz four one one dot com. Roger Friedman, thanks for
- 32:38Speaker 1: being with us.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I take care. Hey, don't forget Noon today, Buck and Clay.
- 32:44Speaker 1: I love their show every day from noon to three.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Then you got the most listened to radio show in America.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Sean Hannity, big exclusive interview with President Trump. He'll be
- 32:53Speaker 1: talking about that. And then Jesse Kelly at six and
- 32:56Speaker 1: we're a great show. You should hear this every night
- 32:59Speaker 1: at nine in me Fayala on seven to ten WR,
- 33:03Speaker 1: mister New.
- 33:04Speaker 12: York Marximo on seven ten WR.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Well, hey we got another hour, Togo. It's Friday. We
- 33:12Speaker 1: made it through the first week of twenty twenty six,
- 33:16Speaker 1: and that's that's pretty good. Now, it's gonna be rainy
- 33:18Speaker 1: all weekend, but it's gonna be warm. If you got
- 33:22Speaker 1: any snow left, If you're right in the city, there's
- 33:24Speaker 1: no snow. But if you're out there in the suburbs
- 33:26Speaker 1: or further out you got then it'll all be gone
- 33:28Speaker 1: by Sunday. Warm temperatures, lots of rain. It's gonna be
- 33:32Speaker 1: heavy rain tomorrow. That'll get rid of it once and
- 33:34Speaker 1: for all. Hey, if you're a podcast listener, you know
- 33:37Speaker 1: you can't hear the show live ten to noon. You
- 33:39Speaker 1: can always listen on the podcast anytime you want. If
- 33:42Speaker 1: you're a podcast listener, always a bonus segment, an extra
- 33:45Speaker 1: segment on the weekend, So look for that back after
- 33:48Speaker 1: the news seven to ten.
- 33:49Speaker 8: Wo Now more Marximo on seven tenor.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Hey, luckily it's Friday already, first week of twenty twenty six,
- 34:05Speaker 1: done and lots to get to this hour, we'll get
- 34:09Speaker 1: to Bruce Blakeman. He should be the next governor. We'll
- 34:12Speaker 1: talk to him coming up later this hour. Kathy Hokeel
- 34:15Speaker 1: will look like she will head to the left, far
- 34:19Speaker 1: to the left, trying to get the nomination. She's closing
- 34:23Speaker 1: up to Mom Donnie. She's somehow decided that to win,
- 34:28Speaker 1: she's got to be over there with Mom Donnie, get
- 34:31Speaker 1: his support his voters, which might be fine in New
- 34:34Speaker 1: York City, but I don't know, you've got a lot
- 34:35Speaker 1: of them up state. Remember, Bruce Blakeman just won a
- 34:38Speaker 1: big election in Nassau County second time. And if you
- 34:41Speaker 1: look at the makeup of Nassau County. It's very similar
- 34:44Speaker 1: to the makeup of New York State demographics, party, all
- 34:49Speaker 1: that sort of stuff. So excellent shot. He's far more
- 34:52Speaker 1: qualified to be governor than Kathy Hokle is. So we'll
- 34:56Speaker 1: talk to him later this hour. By the way, he
- 34:58Speaker 1: gets inaugurated for the second two on Monday, big inauguration ceremony,
- 35:03Speaker 1: Mom Donnie of course, just being Mom Donnie. He's doing
- 35:08Speaker 1: lots of interviews. I don't know if he does any work.
- 35:10Speaker 1: There's no sign of him actually doing anything as mayor.
- 35:13Speaker 1: The good news about Mom Donnie. People have said, I
- 35:16Speaker 1: don't want to say who, but they've said a couple
- 35:20Speaker 1: of things. One, he doesn't really do anything. It's all talk.
- 35:23Speaker 1: He just gets out there and he talks, and he
- 35:24Speaker 1: talks a mile a minute, and he does one interview
- 35:26Speaker 1: after another, and it's pointing people and they talk and
- 35:30Speaker 1: he talks and they talk, but nobody ever actually does anything.
- 35:33Speaker 1: The other thing is people say they believe he's not
- 35:35Speaker 1: a very courageous person. He's basically kind of a coward.
- 35:40Speaker 1: So these big, big controversial things he's proposing, he may
- 35:44Speaker 1: never actually pull the trigger on and may never actually
- 35:48Speaker 1: do any of them, But he does love to talk here.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I never saw guy do so many interviews. Yesterday he's
- 35:54Speaker 1: talking a good morning, good day in New York. Hello, Schenectady,
- 35:58Speaker 1: He's talking to New York want anywhere and everywhere, talking
- 36:02Speaker 1: about anything and everything.
- 36:03Speaker 13: For too many years, the relationship between Albany and City
- 36:06Speaker 13: Hall has been defined by dysfunction and discourse, by feuds
- 36:11Speaker 13: and by factionalism. Petty grievances have interfered with the work
- 36:16Speaker 13: of serving the people.
- 36:17Speaker 1: But again, it's just talk. You just get up there
- 36:19Speaker 1: and you talk, and for too many years you talk
- 36:22Speaker 1: like this, and you sound like you're making some important
- 36:25Speaker 1: point and nobody's listening, and meantime you're getting nothing done.
- 36:28Speaker 1: And then of course there's all his left wing stuff.
- 36:30Speaker 12: Obviously that's not an opinion that I share.
- 36:33Speaker 1: And oh, Ally, you.
- 36:34Speaker 8: Know what this is.
- 36:34Speaker 1: This is he appointed this woman to run housing, real
- 36:39Speaker 1: left wing cook. Now you just have to accept this.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Mondonie is basically the third term of Deblasio. And it's
- 36:45Speaker 1: the same as Deblasi. You point a bunch of left
- 36:47Speaker 1: wing kooks who just say left wing kookie things, and
- 36:50Speaker 1: everybody looks at their Twitter from three years ago and
- 36:53Speaker 1: they can't believe the things that they said. And this
- 36:56Speaker 1: woman he appointed to run housing. You go back and
- 36:58Speaker 1: look at her Twitter. I think she took it down
- 37:00Speaker 1: a couple of days ago, but when people looked at
- 37:02Speaker 1: her Twitter from two years ago, three years ago, she's
- 37:05Speaker 1: tweeting all kinds of nonsense. She said, owning a home
- 37:07Speaker 1: is white supremacy. Nobody should be allowed to have private property.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I mean, all this Unamerican nonsense, crazy stuff. So Mom
- 37:16Speaker 1: Donnie was asked about her.
- 37:17Speaker 12: Obviously, that's not an opinion that I share. And I
- 37:19Speaker 12: made the decision to have her as our executive director
- 37:22Speaker 12: of the Mayor's Office to protect tenants, not because of
- 37:24Speaker 12: her comments, but because of her work. She is someone
- 37:26Speaker 12: who has won significant victories for tenants, not just in
- 37:29Speaker 12: New York City, but across the entirety of the state
- 37:32Speaker 12: formative part of what was an upstate downstate coalition, and
- 37:35Speaker 12: we've seen her already hard at work in this past week.
- 37:37Speaker 12: She's someone who has been a core part of our
- 37:40Speaker 12: efforts to coordinate rental ripoff hearings across the city, as
- 37:44Speaker 12: well as informing tenants of their rights in a city
- 37:46Speaker 12: where oftentimes they're not made aware of them.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Yeah, So that's all you got to do, is if
- 37:51Speaker 1: you want to be a Mom Donney type of mayor,
- 37:52Speaker 1: you just talk very fast and you sound like you
- 37:54Speaker 1: know what you're talking about, and you say things like,
- 37:55Speaker 1: she has made incredible strides since she's she's gotten so
- 37:59Speaker 1: much accomplished with housing. Well, if that were true, you
- 38:02Speaker 1: wouldn't have the housing problem. You just ran saying it's
- 38:05Speaker 1: all out of control and terrible. So what strides did
- 38:07Speaker 1: she make? But you ask Mom Donnie. He can talk
- 38:10Speaker 1: for an hour on any subject, two hours if he
- 38:13Speaker 1: happens to know something about it. But here he is
- 38:15Speaker 1: on Venezuela. He called the President.
- 38:17Speaker 12: Well, I wanted to make clear to the President directly
- 38:19Speaker 12: that these were the thoughts that I had, and they
- 38:21Speaker 12: were also the thoughts that I was about to share
- 38:23Speaker 12: with the world. And this is not just an action
- 38:25Speaker 12: taken by a federal administration abroad. It's also an action
- 38:28Speaker 12: that then implicates New York City because right now, Nicholas
- 38:31Speaker 12: mother Roa is here in New York City, and my
- 38:33Speaker 12: job as the mayor of New York City is to
- 38:34Speaker 12: ensure that any federal action has a limited impact, if
- 38:37Speaker 12: any on the day to day lives of New Yorker.
- 38:40Speaker 1: You really don't. I'm looking at the window right now
- 38:42Speaker 1: and mid tam Manhattan, and all these people walking around.
- 38:44Speaker 1: They don't seem to be worried about Maduro. Here's in
- 38:48Speaker 1: New York. He's actually in Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Detention Center.
- 38:51Speaker 1: He's in federal custody, in the federal system. Again, I'm
- 38:54Speaker 1: looking at everybody else. There's a million people walking around
- 38:56Speaker 1: out there. They don't seem concerned about it. They don't
- 39:00Speaker 1: seem to be worrying about it. Now, here's the good
- 39:02Speaker 1: news about this whole mom, Donnie Mesk. The city council
- 39:06Speaker 1: Speaker's in charge of the city council really has a
- 39:10Speaker 1: lot of power, at least as much as the mayor.
- 39:13Speaker 1: And some would argue the city council speaker has more
- 39:16Speaker 1: power than the mayor. Well, with the crazy left wing,
- 39:19Speaker 1: kooky mayor, and of course you got a lot of
- 39:22Speaker 1: crazy left wing cooks on the city council. Somehow they
- 39:25Speaker 1: just elected a normal, moderate, common sense woman. Her name
- 39:30Speaker 1: is Menon. She is the new city council speaker. She's
- 39:34Speaker 1: not a left wing cook, very normal, very sane, very rational,
- 39:38Speaker 1: And again, the city council has at least as much
- 39:41Speaker 1: power as the mayor. Some would argue more, but here
- 39:44Speaker 1: she is. We obviously now she's also Jewish. With the
- 39:47Speaker 1: anti Semitic mayor, you've got a Jewish City Council speaker
- 39:50Speaker 1: who will do everything to protect the Jewish community.
- 39:53Speaker 14: We obviously need to protect the First Amendment right to
- 39:57Speaker 14: peacefully protest. That is sacri but what we cannot have
- 40:02Speaker 14: is a situation which we've had in New York, and
- 40:04Speaker 14: we saw it at Parky Synagogue where people were trying
- 40:06Speaker 14: to worship that evening and they felt intimidated and harassed.
- 40:11Speaker 14: We are going to be doing legislation to create safe
- 40:13Speaker 14: perimeters around all houses of worship and around schools so that, yes,
- 40:18Speaker 14: of course people can peacefully protest, that's sacricying. But what
- 40:21Speaker 14: you cannot do is intimidate and harass people as they're
- 40:24Speaker 14: trying to go to school, go to their house of worship.
- 40:27Speaker 14: So we're really going to be aggressive about that.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Yeah, So in a way things might be better right
- 40:33Speaker 1: now than with Deblasio, because with the Blasio you had
- 40:36Speaker 1: a left wing kookie mayor and you had a left
- 40:38Speaker 1: wing kookie city council speaker. But now yeah, half of
- 40:42Speaker 1: the half of the duo is saying rational and somebody
- 40:46Speaker 1: alike men and is the new city council speaker. Now,
- 40:51Speaker 1: as I said, Mom, Donnie's like the third term of Deblasio.
- 40:54Speaker 1: And one thing about the Blasio it was bad, but
- 40:56Speaker 1: we got through it just fine. It wasn't survivable like
- 41:01Speaker 1: Deblasio and de Blasi was the same way, kind of lazy,
- 41:05Speaker 1: didn't really do anything, love to talk a lot, was
- 41:07Speaker 1: greate at speeches. Remember to Blasio never came to work.
- 41:12Speaker 1: He would wake up and go to Brooklyn to that
- 41:15Speaker 1: Jimmy Like. He'd be in that gym for a couple hours.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Then there was a little cafe coffee shop. He'd go
- 41:19Speaker 1: in there for a couple hours. He would show up
- 41:21Speaker 1: at city Hall about four o'clock, take a nap for
- 41:24Speaker 1: half an hour, and then leave and that was about it. Mom,
- 41:27Speaker 1: Donnie likes to be at city Hall and he loves
- 41:29Speaker 1: doing interviews, and he talks real fast and just keeps answering.
- 41:32Speaker 1: You can ask him anything, and then they come up
- 41:34Speaker 1: with these ideas. The one thing about these left wing types,
- 41:39Speaker 1: these Mom Donnie, They've got a million ideas from a
- 41:42Speaker 1: program for the homeless. They got a program for this,
- 41:44Speaker 1: they got pre k, they got daycare, all these ideas,
- 41:47Speaker 1: nothing ever really happens. They just talk about it. The
- 41:50Speaker 1: universal pre k.
- 41:52Speaker 13: Not only when we make pre k truly universal, but
- 41:55Speaker 13: expand this care to include all two and three year
- 41:59Speaker 13: old across the city. As the governor said, we will
- 42:06Speaker 13: deliver two care by working in partnership with childcare providers,
- 42:10Speaker 13: especially home based providers.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Yeah, they're cheering and chit it love that universal pre k,
- 42:19Speaker 1: not just pre K, universal pre k, and they get
- 42:22Speaker 1: all excited. And then just like in Minnesota, whenever they
- 42:26Speaker 1: do this stuff, these left wing Democrat programs a couple
- 42:30Speaker 1: of years ago is by an ALVII billions missing, billions
- 42:32Speaker 1: of dollars missing in pre k. Remember the the Blasio
- 42:36Speaker 1: Thrive NYC to help the homeless. A billion dollars went missing.
- 42:40Speaker 1: And of course the media is a Democrat. They never
- 42:42Speaker 1: looked to see what happened to it. Yeah, it's Minnesota.
- 42:45Speaker 1: That's why they're going crazy. Another reason they're going crazy
- 42:47Speaker 1: over this shooting. It gets that Somalia childcare, daycare, eighteen
- 42:52Speaker 1: billion missing, gets it out of the headlines, gets it
- 42:55Speaker 1: out of the news. Everybody forgets about it for a minute.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Luigi Manngioni going to court today, the big day in court,
- 43:03Speaker 1: there'd be a big fight, and his attorney's well, the
- 43:05Speaker 1: first thing you're trying to do is get the death
- 43:06Speaker 1: penalty off the table. That's the one thing.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Now.
- 43:11Speaker 1: The other thing is they think they can get some
- 43:13Speaker 1: of the evidence tossed out that got him arrested, although
- 43:16Speaker 1: I doubt that. Now here's the problem. A lot of
- 43:19Speaker 1: these experts that hunt for fugitives say, this kid was
- 43:22Speaker 1: really stupid about a lot of things. You know, it
- 43:27Speaker 1: was right out there, look out the window, right across
- 43:29Speaker 1: the street. Right there, that's where he shot the guy,
- 43:31Speaker 1: right across the street, the New York Kilton. It's on
- 43:34Speaker 1: the corner where the New York Kilton is, and we're
- 43:38Speaker 1: iHeart right here across the street. But you know, on
- 43:40Speaker 1: that corner in Manhattan, there's a surveillance camera everywhere, every inch.
- 43:45Speaker 1: It's true of all of Manhattan, all the New York City.
- 43:47Speaker 1: They got surveillance cameras everywhere. So if you shoot a
- 43:50Speaker 1: guy on that corner, there's going to be video of
- 43:53Speaker 1: you from every angle shooting the guy. So they got
- 43:56Speaker 1: him there. The other thing is if you're a fugitive
- 43:58Speaker 1: and you're on the lamb, if you're like a David
- 44:00Speaker 1: Jansen fugitive, if you're a Harrison Ford fugitive fleeing and
- 44:05Speaker 1: you're in these little small towns, you're supposed to go
- 44:08Speaker 1: into these little mom and pop places if you got
- 44:11Speaker 1: to get some food. You're not supposed to go into McDonald's.
- 44:16Speaker 1: And he made a huge mistake. He wasn't thinking if
- 44:18Speaker 1: you go into a McDonald's. This is a big national chain.
- 44:23Speaker 1: You know, you can go to any McDonald's anywhere in
- 44:25Speaker 1: They all look the same. And one thing they put
- 44:27Speaker 1: in all the McDonald's is extremely tight surveillance. They've got
- 44:32Speaker 1: cameras everywhere, every angle, so you can it's easy to
- 44:37Speaker 1: be on surveillance cameras if you're in McDonald's. You go
- 44:40Speaker 1: into a little mom and pop general store, they're probably
- 44:42Speaker 1: not so sophisticated tech wise. But he went into McDonald's
- 44:46Speaker 1: where there was a ton of surveillance cameras on him,
- 44:49Speaker 1: and you know, he's using a credit card every so
- 44:52Speaker 1: it just did make sense. It was easy to catch him.
- 44:55Speaker 1: The locals caught him. The people in McDonald's thought he
- 44:58Speaker 1: looked like the shooter, you know, with that one big
- 45:02Speaker 1: unibrow eyebrow, and the he's kind of a distinctive looking guy.
- 45:05Speaker 1: So they called the police. The police came arrested him.
- 45:08Speaker 1: So they're trying to get that tossed out and that
- 45:11Speaker 1: somehow he was illegally arrested or that he had the
- 45:13Speaker 1: wrong evidence. I don't know what they're gonna argue, but
- 45:16Speaker 1: they're gonna try. Hey, by the way, the Vice President
- 45:22Speaker 1: of Great press conference yesterday, Vice President Vance. But they've
- 45:25Speaker 1: also announced, you got this Somali fraud and it looks
- 45:28Speaker 1: like it's going to be even worse in California, even
- 45:31Speaker 1: worse in Illinois. So they've announced the Department of Justice
- 45:36Speaker 1: is creating a whole new Assistant Attorney General whose only
- 45:39Speaker 1: focus will be on this fraud. Start with Minnesota, go
- 45:43Speaker 1: after them, then go to California, then go to these
- 45:46Speaker 1: other states. So he'll be one attorney general assistant Attorney
- 45:50Speaker 1: general just focused on this fraud, on doing something about
- 45:55Speaker 1: it and try to stop it. And by the way,
- 45:57Speaker 1: we would, Ma'm donnie. You know, he went after Trump
- 46:00Speaker 1: like crazy on Venezuela, attacked him. Trump was asked about it.
- 46:04Speaker 1: He's done a lot of interviews, as he did a
- 46:06Speaker 1: great hour on Hannity last night. You'll probably hear it
- 46:09Speaker 1: on the Hannity Radio show today here on WOR he
- 46:12Speaker 1: did a New York Times. I don't know why he
- 46:15Speaker 1: does this The New York Times. These people hate his guts.
- 46:17Speaker 1: But he brought him into the Oval office game a
- 46:19Speaker 1: couple hours of his time. But they said, what about
- 46:22Speaker 1: Mam Donnie attacking you like crazy on Venezuela? And he
- 46:26Speaker 1: actually said, you know, the guy was here. We got
- 46:28Speaker 1: along great. I was really nice to him. And Trump says, quote,
- 46:32Speaker 1: he's got a great personality. He's a nice guy. His
- 46:35Speaker 1: policies are not good, but who knows, maybe he changes.
- 46:39Speaker 1: But he said the way he attacked me, I thought
- 46:42Speaker 1: the guy would wait at least three or four weeks
- 46:44Speaker 1: before going after me. We just had a great time together.
- 46:47Speaker 1: I thought it would take him a few weeks before
- 46:49Speaker 1: he goes But nope, he didn't wait at all. Went
- 46:52Speaker 1: right after him. Now you know who Jamie Diamond is.
- 46:56Speaker 1: He's the chairman of JP Morgan Chase. He's considered the
- 47:00Speaker 1: best CEO in America, top CEO. He's the greatest CEO
- 47:06Speaker 1: obviously in banking guess what he made last year. What
- 47:11Speaker 1: would you pay a guy like that? They had a
- 47:13Speaker 1: great year JP Morgan Chase. What do you think they
- 47:14Speaker 1: pay him? Well, last year he made seven one hundred
- 47:18Speaker 1: and seventy million dollars. Seven one hundred and seventy million dollars. Nah,
- 47:23Speaker 1: that sounds like a lot, but hey, after taxes, it's
- 47:26Speaker 1: only five hundred million. So now, actually there's a big
- 47:28Speaker 1: asterisk on this. They didn't pay him that. He made
- 47:32Speaker 1: about I think twenty five million in salary, which is
- 47:35Speaker 1: normal for a big CEO of a major corporation. You know,
- 47:38Speaker 1: if they trust you with a eight hundred billion dollar
- 47:41Speaker 1: company and you've got to run it, that's what you
- 47:43Speaker 1: get paid. And most of this money was he had
- 47:48Speaker 1: stock options. You know, if you really want to be fair,
- 47:52Speaker 1: pay the guy with stock options. That way, if he
- 47:54Speaker 1: makes the stock go up, he makes money. If he
- 47:57Speaker 1: screws up and the stock goes down, he loses money.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Well.
- 48:00Speaker 1: JP Morgan Chase had the greatest year ever. I think
- 48:03Speaker 1: they were the biggest stock in America, up thirty four
- 48:07Speaker 1: percent for the year, major stock up thirty four percent
- 48:11Speaker 1: for the year. So that's how he made that money. Now,
- 48:14Speaker 1: what would that mean JP Morgan Chase going up thirty
- 48:16Speaker 1: four percent? I don't know. I mean, I don't have
- 48:20Speaker 1: the numbers in front of me. But let's say that
- 48:21Speaker 1: means an extra three hundred billion. So if you made
- 48:25Speaker 1: somebody three hundred billion, hey, I guess you could get
- 48:27Speaker 1: paid seven hundred and seventy million. So I know you're
- 48:32Speaker 1: supposed to get mad at them. You know, in California
- 48:34Speaker 1: they hate these people. They in fact, they want to
- 48:36Speaker 1: have a five percent tax on all these billionaires, a
- 48:42Speaker 1: one time In other words, they would take five percent
- 48:45Speaker 1: of their money, not their income, all the money they
- 48:48Speaker 1: have in the bank, everything just sees five percent of it,
- 48:52Speaker 1: a one time tax, five percent. They're trying to get
- 48:54Speaker 1: this passed now. Some billionaires have already left. Six billionaires,
- 49:01Speaker 1: major figures, Peter Thiel, others have moved out of the state.
- 49:06Speaker 1: They've left because they don't want to pay Let's say
- 49:08Speaker 1: you got twenty billion your tax there would be uh
- 49:16Speaker 1: one billion. You'd have to hand over write a check
- 49:18Speaker 1: for one billion. So they're rather than pay it, they're
- 49:20Speaker 1: leaving six of them. There's a couple of staying. The
- 49:23Speaker 1: Navidia chairman said he has no plans to leave the
- 49:27Speaker 1: big another billionaires, a real estate guy, Sobrato. He's staying put.
- 49:31Speaker 1: But he said he doesn't expect this, but this thing
- 49:33Speaker 1: to pass. He doesn't think it'll pass. Hey, now, the
- 49:36Speaker 1: other things if you leave, like all these guys just
- 49:38Speaker 1: left right now, they're going to pay this. They're saying,
- 49:41Speaker 1: when they pass this tax, it'll be retroactive. Even if
- 49:44Speaker 1: you left, you still have to pay it. However, good
- 49:47Speaker 1: luck trying to collect that if the person is gone. Hey, well,
- 49:50Speaker 1: we'll take some calls.
- 49:51Speaker 3: Next.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 49:54Speaker 1: the number eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 49:58Speaker 1: ten set up on.
- 50:00Speaker 2: The iHeart radio app to wor to hear Mark live.
- 50:04Speaker 10: Set another from Mark's podcast to hear him anytime.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Now back to Mark Damon on woor Hey, let's take
- 50:15Speaker 1: some calls. Let's go to h Doreen, Duchess County.
- 50:18Speaker 3: Doreen.
- 50:19Speaker 1: How you doing fine?
- 50:21Speaker 8: Mark?
- 50:21Speaker 9: How are you today?
- 50:22Speaker 1: Good?
- 50:24Speaker 9: I have a question. Yesterday I went to renew my
- 50:26Speaker 9: license and they have a new procedure. They asked you
- 50:29Speaker 9: if you want to change your voting party or or
- 50:33Speaker 9: you register to vote there. Question is with all those
- 50:36Speaker 9: illegal licenses at one California and all over. I was
- 50:39Speaker 9: wondering how they did it.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. Did you have to show any
- 50:44Speaker 1: kinds of ID or anything?
- 50:45Speaker 9: Or I had my ID there. And then another time
- 50:49Speaker 9: when I was in the Bronx, I got a pamphlet
- 50:51Speaker 9: that was already checked off for the Democratic Party and
- 50:55Speaker 9: they asked me to sign it and mail it in.
- 50:56Speaker 9: But I'm a Republican. So they have other ways been
- 50:59Speaker 9: seating with the voting registrations there and everything else.
- 51:02Speaker 1: It's true now when you say go to the motor
- 51:04Speaker 1: vehicle department, that's like a nightmare. If you're in the
- 51:06Speaker 1: middle of New York City, you have a waiting line
- 51:08Speaker 1: for ten hours, there's sixty thousand people. But you're in
- 51:11Speaker 1: Dutchess County, right, there's probably no line. It's a quiet,
- 51:13Speaker 1: little Andy Green.
- 51:14Speaker 9: No, it's changing, Mark, No, it's changed. Oh, really saying
- 51:18Speaker 9: all over there's that urbanization all over. Now, that's what
- 51:21Speaker 9: Trump said that they wanted to do, and they did it.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Where are you in Dutchess County. Oh, I don't know
- 51:28Speaker 1: what that is, but it sounds fine, it sounds one.
- 51:30Speaker 9: It's all oh, well, there you go.
- 51:33Speaker 1: It's by Beakman. Well that place all right, Thanks for
- 51:38Speaker 1: calling now, it sounds nice. Thanks for calling.
- 51:40Speaker 3: Take care.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you.
- 51:44Speaker 15: Doing, Good morning, Mark, Mark. I'm okay. I heard the
- 51:48Speaker 15: clip you played of Julia mennon uh speaking about protecting
- 51:53Speaker 15: the houses of worship. That's part of a larger interview
- 51:56Speaker 15: that she gave with John Kats and Matit. He's on
- 51:59Speaker 15: his Ball and show yesterday, and he directly asked her
- 52:04Speaker 15: about the real estate and that the real estate community
- 52:08Speaker 15: is really worried and the reason why he mentioned it,
- 52:11Speaker 15: and she totally avoided the question. She's a co sponsor
- 52:18Speaker 15: along with counselwoman Nurse, who came up with this law
- 52:23Speaker 15: that you have to offer it to the nonprofit first
- 52:27Speaker 15: and then secondly, and I don't know how you're going
- 52:30Speaker 15: to go to contract with a private buyer. After you
- 52:33Speaker 15: go to contract, you have to then re offer it
- 52:36Speaker 15: to them. And she totally avoided the question because she
- 52:43Speaker 15: is the co sponsor of that law. And Michael Goodwin
- 52:48Speaker 15: a couple of weeks ago before she was inaugurated, Michael
- 52:53Speaker 15: Goodwin talked about that and he said he was hoping
- 52:58Speaker 15: that Eric Adams. What she didn't do with a veto
- 53:02Speaker 15: vito the law because it wasn't veto proof they didn't
- 53:05Speaker 15: have enough votes. But he says, I doubt that because
- 53:10Speaker 15: she's a co sponsor of the law. So I heard
- 53:13Speaker 15: her wiggling scream, you know, I wish you the best
- 53:16Speaker 15: and special, especially with the houses of worship and the
- 53:21Speaker 15: anti Semitic activity uh going on in this city. But
- 53:26Speaker 15: she avoided the question.
- 53:28Speaker 1: All right, she's a slimy politician, but she's more more
- 53:32Speaker 1: of a centrist than you usually get.
- 53:34Speaker 15: Oh no, definitely that other one, well, was it Adriana
- 53:38Speaker 15: Adams who? Yeah, well she was a cut off the
- 53:42Speaker 15: old Uh, she was a chip off the old man.
- 53:47Speaker 1: It's been a long time since we had a normal middle.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Of the road. It's good. It boats well, yeah, all.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Right, Vincent, thanks for calling. It's just a good especially
- 53:55Speaker 1: when I'm Donnie in office. You want a a centrist,
- 53:59Speaker 1: moderate city council speaker, and she is like a not
- 54:03Speaker 1: as good as Peter Valone, but like that sort of person.
- 54:07Speaker 1: So hey, there's a lot of restaurants opening all over
- 54:11Speaker 1: the place. Things are booming in New York. Buildings are
- 54:13Speaker 1: going up skyscrapers everywhere. But we just lost one of
- 54:16Speaker 1: the great landmark theater restaurants Broadway Times Square Cafe Un
- 54:21Speaker 1: d'utois been there fifty years. A lot of famous faces
- 54:26Speaker 1: in there, a lot of people in the theater district.
- 54:28Speaker 12: You know.
- 54:28Speaker 1: The big, big, big Broadway restaurants were Joe Allen Ors
- 54:32Speaker 1: Sardis and that one it's closing. It doesn't say exactly why,
- 54:37Speaker 1: just says too expensive expenses of skyrocketed rent is very
- 54:43Speaker 1: very very expensive. Employees also added the ones hopping lunch
- 54:48Speaker 1: business has dried up since the pandemic. A lot of
- 54:51Speaker 1: people not going back to the office, so they go
- 54:53Speaker 1: back like three days a week. So it wasn't enough
- 54:56Speaker 1: to keep them going. But a lot of people went
- 54:58Speaker 1: there through the years. Hey, when we come back. Bruce Blakeman,
- 55:01Speaker 1: best county executive in America and the next governor of
- 55:06Speaker 1: New York coming up. We'll talk to him next on
- 55:09Speaker 1: seven to ten w R seven ten wrs. Mark Simon, Well,
- 55:15Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman, I think will be the next governor of
- 55:18Speaker 1: New York, and he's the most qualified person to be.
- 55:21Speaker 1: You couldn't have a better choice for the next governor
- 55:23Speaker 1: of New York. He's the Nassau County executive. He's the
- 55:25Speaker 1: best county executive in America. And that's basically being a governor.
- 55:29Speaker 1: It's the same kind of job. And he's with us
- 55:32Speaker 1: right now. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing, Hey, Mark.
- 55:35Speaker 8: It's always to be with you, your dear friend, and
- 55:39Speaker 8: it's always great when we get together, whether we're in
- 55:42Speaker 8: person or over the phone on the radio. And I
- 55:45Speaker 8: appreciate everything.
- 55:46Speaker 3: That you do.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll see a Monday, because Monday is inauguration day
- 55:50Speaker 1: second term.
- 55:51Speaker 8: Yes, so again, then i'll see a year from now
- 55:54Speaker 8: for the next inauguration.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Oh, that's right. So it's like three inaugurations with you
- 55:58Speaker 1: in this short period of time exactly. If people want
- 56:01Speaker 1: to help you with the campaign, donate, help, volunteer, what
- 56:04Speaker 1: can they do?
- 56:06Speaker 8: Blakeman for New York dot com. That's my website on there.
- 56:13Speaker 8: You can volunteer, you can donate, you can send us suggestions.
- 56:18Speaker 8: You can about all of the stupid rules that we
- 56:21Speaker 8: have in New York State that make it so difficult
- 56:23Speaker 8: to do business. We're the most overregulated state in the
- 56:27Speaker 8: United States. You can complain about your tax bill because
- 56:31Speaker 8: we are the most highly taxed state in the United States.
- 56:35Speaker 8: I would love to hear from you, and we could
- 56:38Speaker 8: use all the support out there. And we feel very,
- 56:42Speaker 8: very comfortable that we have the momentum and we have
- 56:45Speaker 8: the issues on our side, and we need a governor
- 56:48Speaker 8: that actually cares about New Yorkers. It puts New Yorkers first,
- 56:51Speaker 8: and someone that will make New Yorkers happy because most
- 56:55Speaker 8: New Yorkers are miserable with Kathy Hoche's leadership.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, it comes to the ice shooting or whatever
- 57:01Speaker 1: the issue. She seems to go very far to the left.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Is she making a mistake going so far to the left.
- 57:07Speaker 8: Well, she makes one mistake after the other. Let me
- 57:09Speaker 8: let mean an example. Market weeks ago, we had a
- 57:15Speaker 8: robbery in Nassau County of a jewelry store and through
- 57:20Speaker 8: good police work with our Nasau County Police Department, who
- 57:23Speaker 8: are the best, and working with our international law enforcement partners,
- 57:28Speaker 8: we were able to track down the perpetrator and this
- 57:33Speaker 8: person was arrested. And that's what we found when we
- 57:37Speaker 8: arrested this individual, that this individual was remaining had an
- 57:43Speaker 8: Irish passport, came to America from Mexico through Arizona with
- 57:51Speaker 8: the Biden Harris policy of open borders, made their way
- 57:55Speaker 8: to New York and then they engaged in a spree
- 58:00Speaker 8: larsony and stealing from businesses and people here in the
- 58:05Speaker 8: whole metropolitan area. So we arrested this guy and guess
- 58:10Speaker 8: what a he had a New York State driver's life
- 58:16Speaker 8: under Kathy Hoche's leadership, somebody who could have been vetted
- 58:21Speaker 8: by just sending out a request from international law enforcement
- 58:27Speaker 8: for a warrant search. We would find that places like
- 58:31Speaker 8: the UK and other places had arrest warrants out for
- 58:35Speaker 8: this guy. But we don't get that in New York.
- 58:38Speaker 8: We give it to illegal aliens. We give it to
- 58:41Speaker 8: people without a background chap. If we fingerprinted this individual
- 58:46Speaker 8: before giving them a driver's license, we would have been
- 58:49Speaker 8: able to apprehend them. And here's the worst part. When
- 58:53Speaker 8: we arrested this individual, if Nassau County didn't have a
- 58:56Speaker 8: comprehensive agreement with ICE, this guy would be back on
- 59:00Speaker 8: the trip. Because of cashless bail, a judge wouldn't be
- 59:04Speaker 8: able to hold an legal migrant with international lawrence, and
- 59:08Speaker 8: this person would be released back into community to commit
- 59:12Speaker 8: crimes against the people in the metropolitan area. But because
- 59:15Speaker 8: we had the agreement with Ice, we were able to qualize.
- 59:19Speaker 8: They picked this individual up and this individual is now
- 59:23Speaker 8: on his way back to Mexico or Romania or Ireland
- 59:27Speaker 8: or wherever he came from.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Wow, that's one less Kathy Hochel voter. You've taken time exactly.
- 59:34Speaker 8: That's why they're doing it.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Hey, the election is a long way away, but you
- 59:37Speaker 1: are working hard already. I know you wanted to see
- 59:39Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills game, but when you were up there,
- 59:41Speaker 1: you did a lot of meeting with people, voters. They
- 59:44Speaker 1: got out there with people. What did you think of
- 59:46Speaker 1: upstate New York.
- 59:48Speaker 8: Well, you know, the people up there are very warm.
- 59:51Speaker 8: I spent a lot of time up there, not just
- 59:55Speaker 8: in politics, but you know, I've been in business for
- 59:58Speaker 8: many years, not only is a warrior, but but also
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: as a consulting I've represented some of the largest companies
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: in the United States. I was involved in the transportation industry,
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: so I know the state very very well. And one
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: of the things that was really disappointing to me was
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: the fact that so many people were miserable. And when
- 1:00:17Speaker 8: you ask them why they they're miserable, they say, first
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: of all, our communities are no longer safe, and there's
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: no economic development, nothing going on upstate except for a few,
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: you know, a few different areas. There's a couple of
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: projects going on. One is in the Onondaga County, but
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: other than that, there's nothing going on. And we have
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: one of the largest national natural gas reserves in the
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: world in the southern tier of New York State, and
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: we don't allow any drilling. We don't allow any fracking
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: of that natural gas. So we have an energy shortage.
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: We have expensive energy. Here's cheap energy right in our state,
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: and we can't do anything. Across the border. In Pennsylvania,
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: they allow fracking. They have businesses set up that are
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: getting this natural gas out, making cheaper energy and creating
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: prosperity and jobs for the area. In one side of
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: the border on Pennsylvania, they're driving brand new Cadillacs. On
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: the New York side, they're driving out driving around with rusty, old,
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: five year old pickup trucks. So we need economic development
- 1:01:29Speaker 8: in this state. We need to create job, we need
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: to create prosperity. That's how you make it more affordable,
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: putting more money in people's pockets so they can make
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: choices on how they want to spend money.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Yeah, well Bruce Blackman would be the best governor. You
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: can go to Blakeman from New York dot com if
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: you want to help. Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. Now they talk
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: about affordability, yet the MTA just raise the fair which
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: is upset a lot of people. Congestion, pricing, all that stuff.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: But you know how the MTA works, isn't it just
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: a lot of waste Instead of raising fares, can't you
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: just cut the costs.
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: Of course, you can cut the cost you can make
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: it more efficient, and you make it work for people.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: There's something going on here that you know, basically is
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: a scam. The MPa gets three revenue sources lotly four.
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: They get federal money, they get money from sales tax revenue,
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: they get money from employer a roll taxes. And they
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: have the revenue streams in addition to their fares. And
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: they're always broke. They have a system that's broken. They
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: have railroad stations here on Long Island that are falling
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: into terrible disrepair. Nobody's riding the subways because unsafe. They
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: want to cut back on things like having two conductors
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: on a subway train, when two conductors on a subway
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: train would bring more people into the subways because they
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: would feel safer. And they don't invest in their equipment.
- 1:03:07Speaker 8: They don't invest in their railroad and subway stations, and
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: they are bloated bureaucracy with these big revenue streams and
- 1:03:16Speaker 8: where does the money go. And Governor Hopell can't explain
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: that it's her job to make sure that our transportation
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: system runs efficiently. But people don't want to go on
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: the subways because they're not safe. People out on Long
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: Island or in the Hudson Valley, they don't want to
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: use the railroads because the stations are falling into terrible disrepair.
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: And we have to have a governor who understands transportation
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: like I do. Understands that you have to market these
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: transportation sources. They have to be safe, they have to
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: be clean, they have to be inviting to people. Otherwise
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: people are just going to get in their car. Yeah,
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: and that's why we have a traffic problem the way
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: we do in the metropolitan area.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: And Bruce Blakeman has done all this stuff that county's
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: it's basically being a governor. When you're a county executive
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and he's cleaned up everything, crime and budget, all that stuff.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Now we only got like a minute left. What a
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: chance does the Republican have to win? What was the
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: demographic makeup and party makeup of the state.
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: Yeah, so I won reelection in a county that's larger
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: than eight to ten states in population, with one hundred
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: and ten thousand more Democrats, which meetings. In order for
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: me to win, I have to depend on not just
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: Republican and conservative voters, but independent voters and crossover Democrats
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: what I call common sense Democrats. We want in the
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: landslide and the last election because we built a coalition
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: not based on what we disagree upon, but what we
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: agree upon. Everybody wants safer communities. Everybody wants more jobs,
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: everybody wants more pay, everybody wants better benefits and healthcare,
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: and they're not getting it from our date. So they
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: like what I've done here in Nassau County. It's the
- 1:04:59Speaker 8: safety county in America. Each magazine said we're the most
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: desirable place to live in New York State. I can
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: take those principles and bring it statewide, including the City
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: of New York, and make it an affordable place to live,
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: place where you're safer and a place where your kids
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: and your grandchildren are going to want to stay here
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: and raise there.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: This here.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Bruce Blakeman would be a great governor. I
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: can't think of anybody better for it. If you want
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: to help, and you should go to blakemanfronew York dot com.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: You want to donate, volunteer, whatever you want to do,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: go to Blakeman for New York dot com. Bruce Blakeman,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: good luck, congratulations on winning the last election. Andy. I'll
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: see you Monday.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: Mark, thank you so much. Happy New Year.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Make God bless you all right, Mike, thanks for being
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: with us. Take care. That's a Bruce Blakeman who I think,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I know he should be the governor. I think he
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: will be the next governor of New York. Hey, don't
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: forget tonight Jimmy Fayala excellent show. Have you heard it?
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: If not, you should start listening nine to midnight. Great
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: every night here on seven to ten wor.
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: Marximone on sevent TENR.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Well, it's Friday, end of the week, so this weekend
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you can already see the Sunday shows. It'll be all
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: over ice murdering people left and right. The media trying
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: to spin that every which way they can. So Vice
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: President Vance did a press conference yesterday where he talked
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: about that.
- 1:06:25Speaker 10: What is I'm sorry, guys, what's going on here? You
- 1:06:29Speaker 10: guys are meant to report the truth. How have you
- 1:06:33Speaker 10: let yourself become agents of propaganda of a radical fringe
- 1:06:37Speaker 10: that's making it harder for us to enforce our laws.
- 1:06:39Speaker 10: You just asked me a question that presumed that the
- 1:06:42Speaker 10: reason why this woman died is because she was engaged
- 1:06:45Speaker 10: in legitimate protests. She tried to run somebody over with
- 1:06:48Speaker 10: her car, and the guy defended himself when that happened.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Now, once again, let me repeat. If you talk to
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: the top finest people in law enforcement off the record,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: they've all kind of said the same thing to me.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: The shooting is justified, it's legal. But they also said,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: you didn't have to fire those shots. I mean, you
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: can legally, and it's borderline, but a really, really, really
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: good cop might have even though he got out of
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: the way of the car. Just let it go. We'll
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: catch her later. But if you do fire, it's totally
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: legal and justified. He was in front of the car.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: They don't show you the videos from the front where
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: you see the car hit him.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: You see the videos.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Where he's on the side firing into the side. But
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: if you watch the video, it's up on my Twitter
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: if you want to watch it. In the video from
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: the front, the car hits him and knocks him to
